Crazy Smile Imagine that the main character of this short fiction slash horror slash thriller story is a boy. It was almost 11:00 on the cold night of December when I was walking alone on the road. It was after I finished furnishing our thesis from a computer shop because I don't have a laptop. My parents know that I will be going home late. I can still remember how frightening to walk alone in the way, but I just keep on walking fast to reach our house as soon as possible, which is only a hundred meters away from where I was standing from that moment. I can hear nothing but Christmas songs. For me not to get fear from being alone in the road, I followed singing it. It's only about ten more houses before I reach our little house when I get stumbled because of a protruding rock on the road. As I get up, I saw a man in front of me with a twisted mask on his face and wearing a clown's gown. Before he could hurt me using the metal pipe he is holding, I immediately kick his private part and start running. But, it's like the moment was destined to go slow. I can hear a deafening silence. I really feel terrified because of that scene. I was scared if my breathing has stopped, too. I don't know if it is just an illusion, but it feels like his face is all over the place. I heard him shouting. He had a low scary voice and sounds like a serial killer, which weakens my knees. When I finally reached the door of our house, I quickly twist it to get inside. I am lucky because it is not yet locked. I was still catching my breath when I see my parents sitting on our sofa while watching their favorite drama. When they finally notice my presence, they look at me and ask why I looked like I saw a ghost outside. I don't know why, but instead of directly answering their question, I just said, "you better watch out, you better remain silent, you better keep moving fast, or else you'll get caught by the hands of Kumaw." They laugh as if it was the lamest joke ever. Little did they know, someone is wandering outside and waiting for a victim. I came looking at the window pane to see if the creepy man is still lingering, and to my surprise, he is there outside looking at me with an eye to eye contact. I see him grin. By that time, his mask wasn't on his face. I felt goosebump as he keeps walking towards the window. In just a snap, I saw a truck coming on his way. Before he can break the window, he was hit by the truck. What happened to that crazy clown or whatever it is, is something I don't even want to know. I slap my face to see if it is just a dream, but I was hurt. That's the time I confirmed that it was a real nightmare. Word prompts used: Dream, Twisted, Silent, Terrify, Cold.

Sweet Revenge 2 The moment I got back my consciousness, I felt the excruciating pain all over my body especially to my head. I do not know if it is just a dream but a while ago, I heard two people talking to each other while carrying me. If I heard everything right, it goes like this: "What the ****! What comes to your mind to do this thing?" Said by a man with a deep voice. It sounds too familiar but I can't recognize the person with this voice. "I do not know. I was out of my mind a while ago. It's just that I can't contain my emotions. My eyes went black and I have done this thing." "Then, why you want me to help you put away the clutter you made?" "Let us just say that you are the right one who can help me?" "Is that your reason? I just can't understand why you want me to get involved with this?" "Oh, wow! It's as if you have not done something like this before. Do I need to retell the story of the same thing you did before?" "Ok fine. But, that was a long time ago! And I have regretted about it already. You know how my conscience haunted me." I moved my body when I got awake due to the sound they are making. Then all of a sudden, they release their hands that hold me. I felt the pain and it is just like my spinal cord was broken. " Look, she's awake. She is still alive." "Then let her live. It could be a sign." "Sorry, but I have to make sure that I will not get caught. If she will be freed, she will definitely confess about me, us! Do you understand that?" Then I just felt a pain in my head again. "That's enough. We need to go now. Somebody is approaching." Before I lost my consciousness, I heard another man shouting. Currently, I am in a hospital. I can't move my body because it was indeed very painful. It's like as if there were so many thorns in my body. "Doc, the patient is awake." Said by the nurse. "Do not move yet. Your body is not in good condition. You have to sustain your energy." I shouted in pain when I moved my hand. The nurse injected something that made me sleep again. The next time I woke up, I can still feel a pain in my body but it is way better than the last time. The medicines given to me may have effected now in my system. I just found out that I have been in the hospital for about a month now. What shocked me the most is that when I found out that I was in a different country. They call me Anastacia Sanchez. I laugh a little bit as I hear it. It seems like no one knows my real identity. "Oh, thanks god you are awake now!" Said by a man I never met before. "Excuse me, but, do we met before?" "Actually, I am your savior. I am John Kendrix Sanchez by the way." "I am Evangeline Cruz, not Anastacia Sanchez." "I am sorry for making use of that name. When I saw you in that dark woods near our house, you look lifeless. I called my dad immediately and we brought you to the nearest hospital. They asked about your name and since we do not have information, I just told the name of my ex who passed away last year." "Sorry to hear that." I said. "No. You don't need to say that. I must be the one to say that in the first place." We had talked about many things about what happened after that day that I almost lost my life. I am very thankful because he saw me immediately. Without him, I might be dead now. Regarding Anastacia, I found out that we look the same. Now, I know why he was so happy seeing me awake now. But, then I realized, what if we had a connection with Anastacia? That's one of the things that keeps me bothered. So far, I am also thinking of how I can take my revenge for those who tried to murder me. They better hide or else, they will taste my sweet yet extraordinary revenge. Sweet Revenge It was as if this moment was destined to be dark. I can't see anything but a faint flickering light. I felt pain in my back, and something is flowing down in my face. The smell seems like fresh blood. Then I do not know what happened next. They know me as the sweet young lady who is silent most of the time. I rarely talk to people unless I am required to do so or if I need to speak to someone. I always get good grades in school. They say I am pretty. I have the traits that most boys are looking for in our town except for my trait, which is so silent. My parents know these things, but they seemed not to care about me. They do not even talk to me. One day, I heard them arguing, which already a habit for them once they entered this house. I do not know, but I felt the urge to listen to what they are fighting for at that moment. That is the time I found out that I am just an adopted child. Now, I understand why they act like they are not my parents. Tears flow down my cheeks, but I immediately wiped them. From that day, I promised myself I need to be strong for myself. I still acted normal in the following days. I used to be with my best friend all the time. She is Beatrice. She is sweet and kind as well. We kept no secrets with each other. Well, that is what I know. She is the only one who can make me talkative. Little did other people see, I have this trait also. She knows my story, and I am thankful because she became my friend. I couldn't imagine what my life would be without her. We used to bond and stay at his uncle's coffee shop each time we have free time. I always look up to its banner outside before we enter. "Bob's Tea" - I feel the same old vibes when I first enter this shop. Uncle Bob was a smart guy. He is good at giving pieces of advice. Day by day, I learned to speak in front of him, too. Now, my saliva won't be forever stale. After a tiring day at school, we decided to go there. After exiting the main gate of the school, we saw Max. Beatrice knows that Max likes me. I almost forgot that it was his 18th birthday. I wouldn't say I like attending parties, but before I could refuse, Beatrice already agreed. Max's smile seemed to be very sweet. He thanks us before passing by with his Porsche Taycan 4S car. I noticed that Beatrice's eyes seemed smiling. Before she could see me looking to her eyes, I immediately turned my gaze. We spent an hour at Uncle Bob's Coffee Shop talking about what will happen later at Max's Party. I just listened up to her because I really don't want to attend the party. But, since I agreed already, I will follow not because I was forced to, but because I want to spend time with his celebration. Just like what I have said, I am not a party-goer. So, I am struggling with what I should wear. But, I am lucky because Beatrice's gave me an outfit that I will wear. Her smile, while giving it to me, is unusual. It is a different view of her. It is something that made me confuse. She said something, but I did not hear it clearly because I changed clothes inside the fitting area. When I came out, she immediately compliments me. She said I look lovely in my outfit. I looked at the mirror and observed myself for a moment. It's only now that I let myself wear an off-shoulder paired with white fitted jeans. I smiled, even if I do not feel comfortable. We used her dad's car to go to the venue. Once we get there, I noticed that there are many people now in the place. I felt uneasy because I wasn't used in this kind of situation. As we got out of the car, all eyes were focused on us. I do not know how many are looking at me, but one thing is for sure - I'm not too fond of this feeling. While walking, Beatrice was smiling. She told me to do the same, but I can't help myself but bow my head. Max finally saw us. He welcomed us by introducing us to all the people around us. It feels like I am about to lose my consciousness - and it did happen. I woke up to a buzzing sound. As I opened my eyes, I heard them saying something. "Thank God you're awake." I will still ask what happened when Max suddenly hugged me so tight. I saw how Beatrice was shocked. I noticed that she walked out to what she had witnessed; that is why I pushed Max. "I'm sorry." I did not answer him. I proceeded to where I saw Beatrice awhile ago and tried to look up for her. I went to every corner of the venue, but Max' was too big enough. I felt nervous because I really can't find her. I almost run out of hope until I heard someone crying outside in the dark part of the house. It could be their garden. "Beatrice, are you there?" The crying sound became louder as I come closer. Then the sound of a crying lady suddenly turned into a grin that keeps resonating in my head. It was as if that moment was destined to be darker and darker. I can't see anything but faint flickering lights. I felt pain in my back, and something is flowing down in my face. The smell seems like fresh blood. I tried to fight back, but I lose my grip and strength when I saw the face of the one who hit my back and head with a shovel. Before my eyes went black, I heard her shouting words. **"I'm sorry, but I have to do this for myself."**

Silver Necklace 3 I cannot still believe to what I have found out. The message written on the letter was as clear as crystal. It is as if this moment was destined to be like this. Strong wind passed by and then suddenly, magical things started to wrap my body. After a minute or two, a mirror appeared in front of me, and I was so shocked to what I saw. What is written on the letter definitely came true. Am I really destined for this responsibility? I never imagined myself to become a hero. Yes, I dreamed of it when I was a kid, but hey, I just can't believe this is happening. It was so cool yet it seems frightening. There is now a big responsibility bestowed upon in my hand, and I need to protect the humanity with the upcoming villains from other planets. The letter is telling me that my training will start now. I do not know why I was chosen. Mr. Fred must know something about it. But, where can I find him? "You do not need to find me anymore because I am here already." I heard a young man. I turned my gaze to where the sound came from, and I saw a guy who has the same face as mine. I rubbed my eyes to make sure that I am not dreaming. "You do not need to overthink." Said he. "Who are you?" I asked. "I am Fred from the Silver Land." "Weh?" I said with confusion. "Am I a joke to you?" He asked. Honestly, I do not know if it is just a planned show, knowing that Fred is a great magician. "It might only be an illusion." I said. "No, it's not." He made a snap using his fingers. Then, I was brought into a mew place filled with modern and high-tech training equipments such as virtual opponents with life monitor. I was stuck from where I am standing. Amazement can be clearly seen in my face, and I was more amazed when I saw my training outfit. I am wearing a combination of classic and modern pants made up of leather, which seems made with high quality materials. I have full fighting gears too, and it really looks cool. I tried to touch the virtual robot. It reacted. What shocked me more is that I felt the slap of the robot. "Hahaha." I heard again the voice of the guy. "Do not ever try to do the same thing again or else you will be slapped harder. By the way, that is Virtual Hannah." Did I hear it right? This robot who had just slapped my face is known as Virtual Hannah? I am still figuring out the other things when the guy started to talk again. "Anything else, I want to say to you that you are currently here in the Silver Land's training ground." I was about to say something when he interrupted me. "About the time? I am telling you, do not worry. Your parents will not get worried about you." "But why? How can you say that thing?" I asked. "That is because 1 day here is equivalent to 1 minute in your place." "But.." "I said already. Do not worry, you just need to train here for a week." Before I could react, he then immediately disappeared at my sight. I tried to call on his name but it looks like he does not want to appear again as of the moment. I just rubbed my head and waited to what will happen next to me here inside this training ground. Chance First of all, this 2 part short story was written before. In this article, only the part one is included here. The part two will be posted soon. By the way, this short story may contain strong words that convey strong emotions. It is your discretion if you will read this story. The sky was getting dark, yet here I am walking alone on the road. I can't still believe what had happened a while ago. I can't conceal anymore this feeling that any second may burst out. As the rain fell to the ground, my tears flowed down through my cheeks. I promised before that I will not cry from the same man ever again, but here I am crying as my knees are shaking. It seems that destiny is really playing tricks on me. I cried out loud as if there's no tomorrow. I gave him a chance, but he didn't treasure it. He doesn't prove his worth to me. He is just really playing my feelings. I should not be like this if only I have opened my eyes from reality from the start. I continue crying as I walk alone on the cold road. I don't care anymore where will my feet bring me. I must still be thankful because at least, the rain is covering the truth that I am crying. I am about to cross the road when a bright gleaming light strikes my eyes. I can hear a loud buzzing sound from everywhere, but I already stop. I just waited to what will happen next. Silver Necklace 2 As I scream, I did not expect that it went too loud that it also broke the windows in my room. My parents came near to my room. I heard them knocking the door. I opened it and let them enter. "Are you okay?" My mom said while she was worrying about me. "We heard you shouting. We thought you are in pain that is why we immediately go here." My dad explained to me. "Do not worry mom and dad, I am okay." I said while putting a force smile on my face. I do not know if they have felt it. As I look at the windows in my room, I was shocked when I saw that they went back to normal. The broken glasses that were scattered a while ago have gone and went back to their original place. "What's wrong with you John?" My mom asked while worrying again. I do not know what to react and and what to answer with her question. I was left shocked and confused. I touched my beck to see whether the necklace was still there, but I can't feel it now. I can feel the cold sweats in my face. My mom and dad were telling something, but my ears seemed to be deaf. All I can hear is a deafening sound of silence. I covered my ears and shouted once more. Then I woke up from my bed, with tears flowing down my cheeks and cold sweats covering my face. I do not know if it was just a dream again, but if it was just a dream, I never wanted to dream it again. I look myself at the mirror and I do not see any changes. I felt weird. It looks like I have experienced this scenario a while ago. No physical changes to my body, but I saw a silver necklace. I was definitely confused about what is going on with me. There are many thoughts running in my mind. Some are questions that I can't answer. I was so young, but it seems that my mind became mature already. This thing that is happening right now is not a joke already. I looked at my watch and I saw that it was now 5:00 am. I opened the curtain of my window. It was clear now outside. Without thinking twice, K came out my room ang proceeded to the house which we used to go. The house where I got this silver necklace. I want to confirm what is really happening. I am not a detective, but it looks like I am acting as one now. I move slowly so that my parents will not notice me. When I finally get outside our house, I wear immediately my foot wear and I run as fast as I can to get there in that old mansion. My heart is beating fast, and it gets faster and faster as I was getting closer to the house. A dog from our neighborhood barks at me, but I continue running. I was so lucky that it did not catch me. When I get there, I immediately knock the door. I called his name, but no one was answering. I twisted the door's handle and luckily, it was not locked. I roam around the house, but I cannot find him. I almost run out of hope of finding him until I saw an envelope on one of the doors inside. I cannot explain what I was feeling at that moment. The hairs in my body seemed to stand up. My heart keeps on beating very fast. My sweats are continuously falling down. When I got the envelope, I was so shocked to what I saw. Deafening Silence A circle of friends is out for a summer vacation on the island of Barnabas. They were 6 in their group. They are Alex, Barbie, Carl, Dianne, Erold, and Fatima. Alex was the one who suggested the place. He is known as a great researcher in their group. That is why when he tells his friends, they agree immediately. Little did Alex know, the info he gets is not updated. It was a beautiful island before, but it became a frightening island now. There are still a few people going there, but they are lucky to escape from the place. They planned that they would go there on June 13. Sandra is the most excited in the group. She is already prepared to go there. On the other hand, Fatima is struggling with how she can escape from their house. June 13 has come, and all of them are already in the bus terminal except for Fatima, who didn't manage to come because her parents are strict. Since they booked it already, they have no choice but to proceed to their destination even without Fatima. There also other people on the bus. All of them wear black, which they found weird. It takes 8 hours before they reach the island. When they are finally there, they immediately enter the Barnabas Hotel, where they will stay for a week. On the other side, Fatima is experiencing sleep paralysis. She thought she was on a very mysterious island filled with bones and annoying smell in her dreams. She can't help but get fear. Her knees are shaking as she continues to walk in silence, and she is hoping for someone to save her. She can feel that her body is like tearing apart. She screamed because of the excruciating pain. Her blood started to flow, and she saw her friends on the other side in just a snap. They are emotionless. She saw that Alex's neck was broken, Barbie's eyes are missing, Carl's hand are twisted and splintered, Dianne's leg is on the floor, and Erold's stomach is being enjoyed by flies and other insects on the ground. She felt a burning sensation in her chest, and then she vomits. That time, she is now awake. She slaps her face to confirm that what she saw is purely a dream. She felt that her face is aching. She immediately grabs her phone, and she saw that the time is 3:00 am. She dialed Alex number, but he was out of reach. She called Barbie, but her phone is just ringing. She also dialed the number of Carl, Dianne, and Erold, but all of them cannot be reached. She started to feel nervous. It's as if time has frozen. She can feel how cold her hands are. Then the television in her room was opened on its own. Black and white footage is currently playing. At first, she thought it was just an illusion, but she started to feel trembled when she saw her friends on the TV. You can see in her eyes how frightened she is. She doesn't want to look at it anymore, but she can't turn his head nor close her eyes. Her friends are being massacred in the hotel by horrifying individuals. Their eyes are red, and they are holding chainsaws. She saw how brutal they are. Their blood is scattered everywhere. Her friends are slowly dying. She can't stop herself from screaming, but no sound was coming out to her mouth. After that, she loses her consciousness. The next morning, news on tv was flashed. The headline was, "5 people were found dead on the road of Barnabas." Fatima can't believe what happened. She started crying, and then she heard a loud grin. The voice was horrifying. It's only her who can listen to the sound. She uses her hands to cover her ears, but it seems that the grin becomes louder and louder. Her eardrums started to break, and she can feel nothing but pain. Her parents notice it, and they bring her to the nearest hospital. The doctor finds out that she is experiencing a mental disorder. Her parents decided to bring her to an asylum. Then she grinned like a monster. Until now, she is still there. Still facing a great nightmare she never wanted to experience.

Silver Necklace 1 I was 16 when I got into something I never wanted to happen just because of a not-so-loud scream and a silver necklace in that old yet large house. It looks like a mansion, a white mansion full of webs inside. It seems scary, but I do not know why other people say that it was a colourful mansion having classical yet outstanding designs. I can still recall how the man named Fred shows us his magic tricks. Because of that, we always go there at his house. We never saw any other person living in that house, aside from him. My friends and I are secretly going there each afternoon to play at their large backyard. Our house is just a few meters away from it, that is why we can quickly go there and go back from our houses. Then, he will look at his window. He always smiles at us. During our first encounter with him, we were shocked because we thought he was a ghost. But, when we confirmed he was a real person, that is the time where we became friends. He is too old for us to becomes our friend, but we still accept his offer. Starting from that time, we now always go there even inside his house where he always shows us his magic tricks. On the other side, I am questioning myself why I can see a different view of the house. But, since I was still young at that time, I just go with the flow not knowing the real thing behind the mystery of the house. It was a cloudy afternoon when I went there, I was alone, yet I feel excited to get there because I thought that my friends were already there and waiting for me. Well, I admit that his magic tricks are one of a kind. I never saw those tricks at birthday celebrations I have attended. That is the reason why my friends call him "Master Enigma," a name given by Fred, himself. Though, I like calling him by his real name rather than the name he wants to be called. I am just a few walks away from the house when I heard something. It is not too loud, but I know that it came from a man, and if I am not mistaken, it was Fred. It looks like something is happening inside the house. I don't know what came to my mind at that time to have the courage to go inside the house. I slowly open the door to avoid making any sound. There I saw a woman, I think in her early 30's holding a silver necklace stained with blood. Then I saw Fred lying on the floor. He looks helpless. I was shocked when I saw the woman looked at my position. To my surprise, I immediately closed the door. I was about to run away from that house, but it is too late, someone covered my mouth. I forced myself to scream, but I can't. Then, I lost my consciousness. When I was awake, I saw Fred beside me. I look around, and it seems that we are in a different place. I do not know if it is still inside the house, since that was the first time I saw the place. I thought that Fred was already dead due to the scene I have witnessed plus the bloodstain on the necklace, but when I saw he was grinning, I think for a moment, and then I realized it could be just a planned show. If it has happened to one of my friends, may they are now crying at that moment. About me? no, I did not cry. Instead, I tried to speak up to him. The moment I was about to speak up, he immediately stops me. He confirmed that I was right about my suspicion. He laughs while I was shocked. How possible is it? He has just read my mind. Does he have a telepathy power? "Do not worry, and I will just do something nice and extraordinary. Do not be afraid because you will also like at the right time. Then I heard him laugh so hard. This act of him is something I never thought of him. I just closed my eyes and waited to what will happen next. The next moment I remembered was his silver necklace hypnotized me. The grin on his face keeps on haunting me until this time. I do not know what happens next. When I opened my eyes, I am now in my room. I pinched my nose to confirm whether I am dreaming or not. I was hurt. I looked myself in the mirror. I did not feel nor see any changes in my body physically. But, I have noticed one thing. I saw the silver necklace on my neck. Always smile and avoid the things which can cause you stress. If you are still a student like me, do not pressure yourself. Just always be who you are and do what you can do. Do not expect too much to avoid being stressed. Most importantly, avoid cramming because cramming is a one great source of stress. Eat plenty of fruits Fruits are not just for special occasions. We can eat them everyday. They contain special nutrients to keep our skin healthy. One good example is the papaya. Sleep Early If you really want to look fresh, sleep early. Have at least 7 hours of sleep. If you are a student, it is of course hard to follow it since we have lots of requirements to do during at night which is the free time for us to do the pile of requirements. Anyways, if you have no assignments to be passed the next day, sleep early. Do not spend your time watching dramas, you better sleep already. Exercise regularly Do this to help not just to be physically fit, but also to feel active always and to have positive outlook in life. Don't touch your face Never ever touch your face using your hand most especially if you hold something for a relative long time. Bacterias are everywhere that is why it is of great importance to always follow this rule. The Bottom Line Skin care routine differs among us. Different Course; Common Goal Each one of us, no matter what course we take in college, has one common goal. That is to finish it and to be able to find a suitable job for our future. About the latin honors? They can be bonus for our hard works. Some of you have dreamed to become an accountant, an engineer, a teacher, a doctor, and many more. No matter what it is, believe that we can achieve it. God is always with us, and He will always provide. I am now a second year student. Two more years are before I can finally get my college diploma. The journey was tough and may become tougher in the higher years, but I will always do my best to learn all the subjects and also to enjoy while I am in this journey. I believe that we should learn to love the course we took, for us to enjoy it no matter how difficult it is. Don't study to comply the requirements, study to learn and to gain the knowledge we need for our chosen profession. The following are the tips I am doing, and I also want to share them with you. **Study with all your heart.** When you have a dream and you want to fulfill it, study with all your heart. We can do this by having inspirations. It can be our family, our crush or idols, or even ourselves. When we are inspired, the more that we excell. Do not just study because we are required to finish something, study because we want it and that we like to be equipped with all the things needed in our chosen career. **Do not Cram** Cramming is the term used when you do requirements near the deadline or when you review a lot of things when examination dates are near. Some are just even reading their notes a day before the exam and that is something that is not advisable. Anyways, it still depend on us. However, learn to always read your notes even if there's no exam or quiz tomorrow. By making reading a habit, the higher the chance that those lessons we have read will be stored in our minds. It will be then easier for us to recall things when we review or prepare weeks before the exam. **Balance your time wisely** Balanced things will lead to a balanced life, that is why, we should always balance our time for something. Don't spend too much time in socializing nor playing mobile games. Make a schedule for it and make sure to follow the schedule so that there will br no problem. By doing this thing, you are not just helping yourself do all the things you want and the things that are required in your studies, you are also helping yourself to have a balance life. **Do not study when you are tired** When you feel tired or exhausted, do not force yourself to study. Prioritize your health because it is important. If you try to study when you are tired, you will realize that it is a hundred times harder to study. It is hard to grasps the lessons. When I am reading my books or when I am reviewing, I like playing classical and calm music because they really help me in reviewing well. **Don't be afraid to fail** Failures happened not because to hinder you in reaching your dreams, they sometimes happened for you to strive harder and to achieve a greater height of success. Do not study hardly because you are afraid to fail, but study hardly because you like it and you want to reach your dreams in life. **Always pray and have faith** In everything we do and anything we achieve in life, always remember to thank God for providing us the things we prayed for. Do not just pray when you want only want to have high scores, but pray to ask His guidance and thank Him for a the blessings He had given to us. No matter how hard the exam is and no matter how hard the trials that comes along our way in achieving our dreams, having a strong determination and faith will help us succeed. **Know your reason** Last, but definitely not the least, know and always remember your reason why you take this course. Do not give up easily, remember the reason why you start it. Giving up is a choice, but do not give in easily. It is also a choice to stand up again and continue what we have started. It is a long and tough journey, but once we are there at the top of success, we can finally say that the hard works and everything are all worth it. "If you can dream it, you can achieve it." It's true that we have taken different course, but there is something we have in common - we want to graduate and to reach our goals. Miracles Do Happen *"There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle."* Albert Einstein I have always believed that miracles exist. I am still nineteen, but I have lived long enough to state that miracles do happen. Some cannot be obviously seen by our naked eyes, but I always believe that miracles are real. Being able to have another chance to live in this wonderful world is the greatest blessing I have ever received. Like a flower which blooms in a dessert, miracles do happen. I firmly believe in miracles because it happens in my life. I was so young that time when a great storm tried to bring me down. It almost took my life, but God is so great because He gave me a second life. As a young child, of course I can't understand that time what had happened when I woke up. They were all crying as if they didn't see me for a long time. I asked what happened but all I heard was a monotonous sound of cries. Little did I know, I was just in the brink of death before that. I can't recall exactly the dream I have before waking up from that moment, but I thank God because He heard the prayer of my family for me. The Doctor and nurses nearly gave up on me. But, my mother's faith was so strong. They told me that from the moment the doctors and nurses doing their best to save my life, my mother was there outside the room, endlessly crying while praying really hard for me to keep alive. Unlike from most dramas in television, there's no light that covered up the whole place. But, a miracle really happened. The doctors said that it was indeed a miracle. They were all crying, symbolizing tears of joy because I was given another chance to live and to enjoy my life while surpassing each challenge that will come along my way of achieving my dreams in life. I believe that everything happened for a reason. God gave me this second chance because I still have to fulfill my duties here on earth. That is why I will always be grateful. Whatever trial that will try to test my strength, I will not give up. My family never gave up on me when I am on the brink of death, and so I will always strive harder in life and I will never give up. Because of these things, I became stronger. The rainbow after the rain was the sign that we never lose hope. When we are experiencing our darkest days, God will help us. He will make miracles, miracles that will make us realize that even if we commit sins, He will always forgive us. He gave me another chance, so I will use this chance to do the right thing. I will always do my best in everything, and I will always strive hard in life because I have dreams and I want them to come true. Miracles do exist, and they really happen. But miracles are not always such an enormous deal. They can happen anytime, anywhere. Just like for example, a student who is working a part time job and still manages to have a time to finish his requirements and duties at home everyday. That’s considered a miracle for me. High school drop-outs who made up their minds to go back to school and get their diploma. That’s another miracle. Sometimes if you have strong faith and raging determination, miracles can happen. In my 19 years of living in this wonderful world, miracles made me realize to always live my life to the fullest, to always accept my flaws and imperfections and wholeheartedly accept who am I and what I have. Miracles do happen, and I will always believe in it. The events that I have experienced and been through in my life have shown me to believe in miracles. Philippines: A Home of Many Great Singers Do you know some great Filipino singers? Join me as I tell the things I know that explain why there are lots of good singers in the place. **Voices that are as sweet as apples. Astounding whistle tones. Melodies that are good to ears and soul.** Phrases that can best describe how I feel about the Filipino singers. Philippines is an archipelago which is situated at Southeast Asia in the western Pacific Ocean. This is the country where I came from. Yes, I am a Filipino. One of the best singers we have is none other than Lea Salonga. She is a broadway singer and actress who is known worldwide for her amazing and very powerful voice. We also have many more great singers like Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, Lani Misalucha, Dulce, Sarah Geronimo-Guidicelli, Garry Valenciano and many more great singers either young or old around the Philippines. The question is, why Filipinos are great singers? One of the reason is that, our nation has a long-lasting tradition about music. Music is already part of our history and it is imparted in our souls. Almost every house, there are musical instruments. Whatever the occasion is, singing of songs can be heard - it will never be removed. In fact, a Filipino by the name Roberto del Rosario, holds the patent of Videoke or simplified word for video karaoke. Videoke is a machine wherein anyone can sing along to the instrumental versions of a variety of songs. Also, you can see the lyrics of the song being displayed on the screen in time with the music. Filipinos, whether young or old, can't be stopped once they hold the microphone and started singing while the videoke is playing. As a matter of fact, videoke is present in almost every celebration. Moreover, parents always encourage their children to practice singing at such a young age. Parents are also very supportive for their children in joining various singing comperition. It does not only help them build confidence, it is also a great way to improve their vocals which is very helpful to help each and everyone to become good singers. Another reason is that, we are being encouraged to sing. We also have choir members in church where they are able to make use of their God-given talents in singing, eventually improve it and using it for the service of God at the same time. If you know the word "harana," that is also one of the reasons. A traditional practice where a young man serenades a lady by playing a guitar and singing at the same time underneath the lady's window of their house at night. It is such a sweet scene, right? There are many more reasons in my mind, but I think it will take me forever to tell it. My mind is a universe of thoughts and I really wish I can write them all in a piece of oaper at once. If ever you want to ask me if I am a good singer also, well I can say that I am already good. I can sing well in front of the electric fan while it was turned on and most especially in the comfort room or shower room while I am having a shower. Sometimes, I like singing out loud especially when my favorite songs are being played on the radio or in the speaker. I don't care whatever they say because I am proud of my voice even if it is not that good. At least, I am proud. Filipinos are truly known for so many things. On the other hand, we also have Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao and many more great boxers in the field of boxing, Gloria Diaz, Maria Margarita Moran, Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach, and Catriona Gray, and many more witty and beauty queens, as well as many more great Filipinos who bring honor and pride to our beloved country. Online Class Honestly, before our online class started, I was so excited when it was announced that we will have it soon. Now that it was started, I have noticed a lot of things. Some of this things will be mentioned and the rest will be kept confidential. First, I will talk about the internet connectivity. The signal in my phone is not that strong nor too slow, and I experienced buffering while having the online class. Also, I am just using a limited data package since we can't afford to pay monthly bills for internet connection. In a day, I can consume more than 1 gb of data and my phone's battery drained faster than what it is used to before. I have a laptop, but I don't want to connect it in my phone's hotspot because it consumes bigger amount of data (based on my observation). Anyways, I am still thankful because I find this site. It somehow help me in buying mobile data package. I don't need to ask money from my parents just to load up my phone. Maybe, I am struggling now if I haven't discovered read.cash. Also, I was able to buy books that I can use for my studies, and this is because of read.cash. That is one of the reasons why I am very thankful to all the read.cash family, and one of the reasons why I keep on improving my skills in writing. By the way, we are on our third week already. The first week was okay, but it gets tougher as day passes by. Some of my classmates and even other students are saying that we are no longer learning. Well, they have a point. The reason is that, the learning was affected due to some obvious reasons just like the mode of learning. Some are just doing the required tasks not to learn anymore, but just to comply. Those who don't have the proper equipments and those who are mentally affected due to the pandemic were really hard up with this new mode of learning. We raise our voice, but we still cannot do anything, but to pray that this pandemic will soon bid goodbye. Anyways, I am very thankful to God because He keeps us safe and healthy. That's all for now, I still have 3 classes to attend today. So if you see mistakes especially on grammar, I hope you would understand me.

When is the best time to write an article? Some of us finds writing as an exploration, some writes to express, some write to share ideas and, some write to improve their skills in writing. But, there might be a question that keeps on popping up in your mind. When is the best time to write an article. Apparently, you have an answer in your mind. In this article, I will answer that question, and I will also give some tips which I knew to help you write better. Let's start! If you want to write only because you want to have an article for this day and because you want to earn points, then think of it again. Yes, your points may get higher, but what about the quality? What about the engagement of the users? Yes, there will be some that will write comments, but what about the sense? Sorry if you feel that I am being biased, but forgive me, I am not. I am just stating my own opinion, which I think may help you. So, when is the best time to write? For me, there is no ideal time for writing an article. I can only say that write when you think you are physically and mentally ready to write. If there's an idea that comes to your mind, write it down so that it will be easier for you to recall those thing when you start writing. Don't write when you are in a hurry. Don't write when you are tired. And most notably, don't write if you don't really have something to share. Remember that this is not like other platforms where you can write everything you want. My point is to try writing something creative, something engaging, something worth sharing when you are ready. Honestly, I can't write when I don't feel like writing. You know, the feeling that you want to write, but there are hindrances and distractions. I mean, the setting of the place also plays a significant role when you should write articles. Do you like to write in a silent place so you can express more? Or in your veranda where you could enjoy writing while looking at the surroundings? Whatever it is, as long as you are comfortable, go for it. By the way, I hope you will like this quote from Ernest Hemingway. ***“It’s none of their business that you have to learn how to write. Let them think you were born that way.”*** Once you are ready, get a paper or use your phone to make the draft. Before publishing, it's better to proofread your work. Honestly, this is one of the things I sometimes failed to do. But, if you are worrying because you're not good in a particular language, you could use your native language. You can also translate it using google translate then make use of online tools that offer free service to correct the grammar. Just like what they say, if you want it, then find a way to fulfill it. If there is a passion inside you that wants to bloom, do not block it. Let it bloom. Fight for what you trust in and make your dreams come true. Write with all your heart. Focus on your topic and bring out the best in you. If others can, you can do it also. Just keep on writing. You can be a good writer, too. Filtered Photos This photo of an old decoration was taken outside the house of my aunt. I don't know why it was put outside. Anyways, I put a filter on my camera when I captured it. If I am not mistaken, the filter that I used was yummy. My phone's model is Vivo Y11. The specs of camera is 13 + 2 mp with auto focus and dual led flash. I don't usually put filters, but since I like exploring my phone's camera, I tried different things. One of it is using of filters. That's the main reason why I make use of filters in the photo. Same filter was used in this photo. It is a post of electrical wiring. You may say I am weird by taking this photo, but to tell you honestly, I am also asking myself why I took this photo. Christmas Decorations Can you hear it? Christmas songs are now playing on the radio. A sign that Christmas is truly in the air. It's the birth of our dear savior, Jesus Christ. Can you feel the cold breeze of Christmas? In this post, I'll share to you some of the pictures of the decorations we usually put in our mini Christmas Tree. These are Christmas Balls. Every year, we put them over the Christmas Tree to add more colors and vibes of Christmas. The Christmas Tree will not be completed without the star at the top of it. For me, this is very important. How about you, what is the most important Christmas Decorations that you usually put on your Christmas Tree? Flowers, too. As you can see it looks good in the picture.
