Sing Along With High School Musical: The Musical 🎶*We're soaring, flying..* *There's not a star in heaven that we can't reach* *If we're trying* *So we're breaking free 🎶* Have you heard of Wildcats? How about East High? Do you know Troy? How about Gabriella? Sharpay? Ryan? Have you experienced watching **High School Musical** on Disney channel every New Year's Eve? I was young when I first encountered High School Musical, that's when my family was waiting for the New Year's countdown. We were switching from HBO to Disney Channel then. *(Uso pa ang cabled channels)* I was hooked because of the music and the plot of the movie itself. I used to print the lyrics of every song in that movie and compile them in a binder. It's like a song book. Last night, while I'm having my cup of coffee and looking for a movie to watch, I stumbled upon this series, **High School Musical: The Musical**. Since I am a fan of HSM, I gave it a try. Musical movies/series really is my thing. The message they want to say through songs are so meaningful! Have you watched Hamilton? That's one of my favorite musicals. At first I thought they will just follow the same movie but in a series. Good thing, they make the movie as the basis for the musical. I stopped watching the first episode because I want to sing along with the songs first so I searched for the High School Musical songs on Spotify and played it. I was actually kind of surprised that the casts of High School Musical: The Musical series resemble the characters of the original series. In the original series, I really liked Gabriela's character but I love Sharpay the most, also Ryan! They're very competitive and I enjoyed watching their upbeat performances. When I was in fifth grade, we used the tune of I am talking to my youngest sister as I continue watching the series. I kind of pity her generation because they don't get to live waiting for a specific movie on TV, the patience test for each advertisement in between the show, and the switching of channels when you're watching two shows at the same time! An Exciting Game I Like Playing Hola! I've been away again for two days already. Whew! Still can't keep up with my schedule these days. How are you all? In this article, I'll share with you the game I really like playing, the game that involves deceiving other people. Don't get me wrong, I am not like that in person, but I like taking roles that deceive others. Last Friday night, a usual Friday night game on discord with the gang (HivePH family), we decided to play the **Mafia** game. I was hesitant at first if I'll be joining the game since I don't know the mechanics but I did join anyway. We need to type ****m.join**** to join the game on the Mafia channel. Once we're ready, the party leader will type ****m.setup**** for us to receive and read our own roles then ****m.play**** to start the game. It's better if you're using a computer in playing this game because one separate Mafia game channel will pop up then another direct message from the Mafia bot as well. In Mafia, each player will receive a role and we need to distinguish the killer by guessing and punish him/her. Once you've performed your role through the direct message from the Mafia bot, the bot will notify the group the outcome of that night (if someone was killed that night). Everybody needs to vote and guess who is the killer. The person with the most votes will be interrogated and lynched. The game continues until all their roles were revealed. The screenshot was the proof when I became a godfather, the one who assigns who will be the next target of the mafia. They didn't know that I'm the killer so Arc and I won that round! 😂 I was actually enjoying the game.. look, here's another win! @DennMarc and @Laurenceuuuu were actually teasing me so they could win. Let's play Mafia again tomorrow 😂 Aside from enjoying the game on the discord server with HivePH peeps, it actually reminded me of our game back in high school. It's called **Killer-Killer.** How to play it? Similar to Mafia, we need roles such as the Killer, Doctor, Police, and Villagers. Here are the tasks of each role: **Killer** - wink at ordinary people **Doctor** - wink twice at dead villagers to save them **Villagers** - will shout **'I'm dead!'** if the Killer winked at you and **'I'm saved!'** when saved by the Doctor **Police** - must guess who the Killer is We need to sit in a circle form while the game is ongoing. Imagine how chaotic it was for everyone because we need to look at everyone's eyes hahahaha but it was fun! That was the time when my partner and I can't look at each other's eyes for a long time. I can't look at W (my partner) back then because kinikilig ako! Hahahaha Yeah, so basically that's why I really enjoyed these two exciting games. Have you tried playing Mafia on discord too? Because I Am Not A Kid Anymore How are you all? It's been a gloomy day. I felt like sleeping, but my workload keeps on stopping me. This kind of weather makes me want to eat all day, watch Netflix and chill. Yesterday rained so hard. My youngest sister went outside to play early in the morning because it was sunny then but when it was lunch time, she came back because it was raining really hard. My mom saw that my youngest sister's friends are taking a bath under the rain. My younger sister asked if she could try it too. She hasn't experienced it yet because she always decline whenever we tell her to enjoy the rain. Now that she's a bit grown, heck time flies! she's already tall, she wanted to experience it with her friends. Luckily, my mom allowed her and off she went! I thought my mom would disagree because at times, she's a killjoy. Before my youngest sister go out of the house, she asked me if I wanted to go too since my eyes shine whenever I ask her to enjoy it. Of course I said no. She asked, **'Why not?'** My petty answer? **Because I'm not a kid anymore.** I laughed at her reaction because this is how she reacted: Her reaction: ***What? I don't get it.*** Then she went outside to have fun. I actually contemplated the words I uttered. Why do I, or maybe, we, use this kind of excuse in having fun? There are times when I want to do what kids do. When I babysit my nieces and nephews, when I take care of my younger students, I feel like playing with them too. Playing freely, enjoying and not minding what other people would say. Now that I know better, why do I push the kids to have fun while here I am, restricting myself? haha funny how ironic it is! Have you experienced it before? When you want to play in the playground, wanted to try those rides for kids (*I remember* @Ayane-chan*, she mentioned before that she likes to ride the train for kids but then she remembered she's not a kid anymore, hello Ayane!*) but you can't because for us, only kids can have fun, but that should not be the case. I don't want my sister to think that having fun starts and ends with being a kid and that when you grow up, you can't have fun anymore because all you'd think about is how other people perceive you. So, what did I do? I joined her and her friends and that is one of the best decisions I've ever made! It was liberating! I felt free and happy at the same time. We shouldn't suppress ourselves from having fun. Play that game. Enjoy that ride. (*even if it's the ride for adults, go ahead 🤣, if you know what I mean!*) It's worth our time. This Is What Happens When You Laugh So Hard Have you ever laughed so hard that your tummy aches already? Or Have you experienced laughing so hard that you could barely breathe? I've been in situations like that especially when I'm with my friends. Talking to them is basically cheap therapy because we get to talk non-stop about everything under the sun. We also tend to laugh non-stop too! My friends are comedians, I also have a friend whose laugh is so contagious! In this article, I'll share with you what would happen when a character on Sims 4 laughed so hard. I've been playing Sims for years already but I haven't encountered this before. I was shocked while I was playing. There's an event in Sims 4 called **Prank Day** where characters must engage with the other characters using the Mischief conversation button. While I'm switching from one character to another, I happen to check out the mother, who is currently ***dying from laughter***! HAHAHAHA At first I thought she's just pranking everybody since it's Prank Day, but boy, I was wrong! I saw the Grim Reaper coming 🙈 Everybody rushed to the bedroom to see their mother, dying. Some of them haven't changed their clothes yet from swimming. I thought I could still save the mother by pleading. I let the other character plead to the Grim Reaper. Unfortunately, it didn't work. The characters keep on crying until the Grim Reaper takes their mom away. I find it funny to die from laughing so hard but a good reason for dying hahaha Imagine, until your last breath, you're happy! **But in real life scenario, would it be possible for us to die from laughing?** Some people say it's possible for some reasons. People might pass out from lack of oxygen due to excessive laughter or by inhaling their own tongue, which I find very weird while laughing. Because of this case on Sims 4, I was curious so I searched for cases that would prove that it's possible. In this article, you'll see several stories of people who died literally because of laughter. The one that struck me the most was the ice cream vendor who laughed for two-minutes straight! She Found A Rose Hiding Under The Pillow The weather is gloomy today. My routine? Same old, same old. I was watching **The Entitled**, a Filipino Movie starring Alex Gonzaga. I admit, I'm not really into Pinoy Movies unless it's an old movie that tackles our Filipino culture. I have high hopes and standards when it comes to Filipino movies because I know there's more to cliche stories. Anyway, while I was watching the said movie, my little sister came by and told me to check my messenger because she sent me something. I was busy watching and told her that I'd check it later on. After watching the movie, I checked all my messages on messenger and tadaaa, I saw what my youngest sister had sent! It was a video clip of her and some pillows and the bed of my younger sister. The youngest, V, went to our sister's bedroom and played there. However, she noticed that the pillows are not aligned properly. All the pillows were piled up in the corner. V, being the curious kid, thought that our sister might be hiding something. She saw a rose hiding under the pillows! And this is what she said on her video (so sorry, I won't be uploading the video here for her privacy) ***"I wonder why the middle child keeps a mountain of pillows over this corner here, and here's the reason why...*** ***What's a rose doing here?*** ***Don't be suspicious. Don't be suspicious.*** ***Girl, I know you're hiding something. Why is there a rose here?"*** and then she sent it to our family group chat! hahaha My younger sister was keeping it from my parents because they'll tease her again about suitors! and now that my youngest sister finally revealed that there's a rose (might be a sign that she has a suitor), she'll be the topic for tonight's dinner talk. When I saw the video, I laughed first before talking to my youngest sis, V. I admit that it was funny but it's not a good thing to do. Why? She's invading our sisters' privacy. She might wanted to hide the rose for a reason and I respect her for that but again, it was being revealed already, though she's not mad that we knew about it. Welcome again to my sister parenting hahaha. I wanted my sister to learn that even if we're all super close in this family, she needs to remember that we need to respect each other's privacy. I gave her a couple of examples of how she might not want us to invade her privacy and she agreed that she doesn't want those things to happen. I Think It's A Silly Reason I've been a *plantita* for quite some time now, and whenever I see a caterpillar on my plants' leaves, I always jump for joy! Those cutie caterpillars, even if they eat a lot of my plants' leaves are wonderful creatures. Imagine, your plant becomes a part of the caterpillars growth, that will soon become a lovely butterfly! Ahh, that's a privilege! But not everyone's happy to see a caterpillar on their plants' leaves. There's this thing that I can't help but to react on negatively. While I was taking a break and scrolling through my Facebook feed, I chanced upon a post of someone asking for an advice on how to kill some caterpillars. ***Really? Kill?*** That question alone made me raise my eyebrow. ***Why would someone want to kill caterpillars?*** Well, I admit, we killed some caterpillars when I was in high school because of an insecticide/pesticide experiment that we're working on. We're competing for a research project and we need to test whether our insecticide/pesticide was effective. It's heartbreaking to see those caterpillars die in front of us. Although, I am with the farmers who really wants to get rid of those caterpillars because it might destroy their business. Back to the Facebook post, I didn't screenshot the picture of her plant because I don't have her permission to post it here. Her plant was almost leafless. She was asking for ways on how to kill those caterpillars who keep on eating her plant's leaves. Apparently, there are several caterpillars who are eating the leaves and somehow made her plant looked as if it is dead because of the eaten leaves. She was more concerned on her plants' physical image because it's infront of her residence and it's the first thing the people would notice when they walk through. A lot of people commented. Most of the comments are negative. Well, I do agree with their reasoning. That's why when I encountered that post, my first reaction is it's a silly reason to kill caterpillars, although I get her point that it destroys the image of her plant. Caterpillars play an important role in the ecosystem. Even if they're eating your plants' leaves, let them do that. Leaves will eventually grow back in time. Or, if you really can't take it, at least transfer them in other places where they could still eat leaves, grow, then become a wonderful butterfly, without destroying your plants. Caterpillars are living things too. Remember that when you kill one, you're also taking away the life of a soon to be beautiful butterfly. Let Me Tour You To The Perfect Cafe! I was waiting for my friends to come along as we scheduled to meet in the city today. I was walking down the street when I saw an unfamiliar cafe. No, I’ve seen this before, perhaps on TikTok? Or Instagram? I know I’ve seen this before. My friend posted a picture of her having a cup of coffee here. Brown, black, and white are the colors of its theme, a combination of industrial and modern contemporary style. There are several chairs outside, good for two, or three, or groups, or even solo. As I walked towards it, the poles near the bushes caught my attention. The two poles on both sides are cat scratch posts, and the poles in the middle are obstacle weaving posts that help the agility of pets. Cool! Pets are welcome in this cafe! I’ll tell my friends to bring their pets too! On the left side, there’s a mini-stage for performances. *Be Alright by Justin Bieber* is currently being played by an acoustic band. How relaxing! I want to stay outside and enjoy my coffee while listening to them. Oh wait, the singer looks familiar! Oh, it’s ate Jeaneth @Jeaneth ! She and I met through readcash! This cafe promotes local bands and artists, which is awesome! I saw the current menu was placed next to the door of the cafe before I even went inside. It seems like they have different highlighted menus per day. Good thing for nearsighted people like me, I won’t spend much time looking at the menu on the counter. Some of the coffees they offer are coffees from all around the world like **Kaffeost** from Finland, **Cafe de Olla** from Mexico, and **Yuanyang** from Malaysia to name a few. They also have **Barako Coffee** and **Coffee from Mt. Apo** in the Philippines. I’m craving fries, luckily they have them! The last time I went to a cafe nearby, there were only pastries available. It’s a good thing that this cafe has a wide selection of dishes. **There are goods for pets too!** Oh, I almost forgot, the cafe’s name is **The Misc**. Miscellaneous? Let me ask the staff. When I walked inside the cafe, the counter with the large window on the opposite side was the first thing I noticed. It serves as the order counter for those who want some take-outs and for those who dine outside. The cafe looks spacious. There are a lot of windows but the temperature isn’t too high since there are enough air conditioners to keep the space cool. The windows are kind of aesthetic, especially on a golden hour. The cafe is two stories high. I wonder what’s upstairs. I am intrigued about the cafe’s name so I asked the staff what’s behind it. **The Misc** is **The Miscellaneous Cafe**, true to its name, offers a wide range of options, including international pastries and several types of coffee. I also learned that they celebrate monthly events here, offering occasional drinks and food too! There’s another counter near the main one but no one’s placing their orders there. Surprisingly, **we can curate our coffee** there. The ingredients and the materials are already provided. Just pay for their Curate Your Coffee then you’re good to go. Wow! I’ve been waiting for this moment, to try what it feels like to become a barista. I ordered fries and tried their Curate Your Coffee promo. **This cafe’s variety of payment options is one of my favorite features.** They accept ***cryptocurrency as payment***! To test things out, I used bitcoin cash (BCH). Successful, thanks to the cafe’s fast internet connection. I just scanned their QR code to pay. That was quick! You can also try ***The Misc application*** which allows you to place an order, pay for it online, and then just pick it up in the cafe without having to wait. What a fantastic thing! The counter for curating your coffee has guides on how to make your preferred coffee and food. The background is nice too so you can take pictures or even video yourself while brewing your coffee. After making my cafe latte with tapioca pearls and french fries, I waited for my friends on their comfy sofa. I love how cozy the sofas are inside the cafe area! ***‘I’ve got time for that’*** is imprinted on the coffee cup, which is a wonderful approach to promote the cafe. You may snap a picture of this cup together with something/someone important to you in it. When my friends arrived, we decided to explore what was on the second floor. On the right side is the comfort room. There are more seats upstairs, this section is ideal for those who wish to concentrate on their work or studies while having a cup of coffee. They have a lot of outlets too! If you forgot to bring books with you, just ask the staff to lend you some. They have plenty of books for lending. As we explore outside, we read the announcement that the cafe has a **Quiz Night/Trivia Night** tonight and they offer **bottomless mugs (unlimited coffee starting at 9 pm**! It’s getting crowded at the moment. Everyone is waiting for the Quiz night to begin. I guess we should get ready too! What a great way to spend the evening with friends. **This is how I envision a perfect cafe:** a place where we can bring our pets while we’re having coffee, a place to relax (comfy sofas!) with a nice view, a study/work station with plenty of outlets for charging devices and a fast internet connection, a place where we can curate our preferred coffee, a place that hosts having Quiz/Trivia nights while serving unli-coffee, and of course a cafe that accepts cryptocurrency as payment. ***Although the Misc Cafe is located in the city center, we intend to create a branch in the countryside so that customers may enjoy the beach view. It Looks Like An Inactive And Productive Day I've been away from social media and other platforms for some time today. I haven't posted in any blogging platforms today and I haven't replied to any comments yet too. Aigoo! Tonight, it felt like I'm procrastinating but then again, I liked the feeling of being inactive even just for today. What are the reasons of my inactivity today? Well, I did a general cleaning of my room. My youngest sister has been sleeping with me for quite some time now and I get mad most of the time for her not following my rules when it comes to bed. Do you have your own set of rules too? Here are some of mine: I often remind my siblings to NOT sit on my pillows! I often get mad at my sisters because of this. My sisters love to hang out on my bed because mine is wider compared to theirs and they unconsciously sit on my pillows! I hate that. Imagine, I put my face on those pillows at night, where they put their butts on 😅 Ugh. No eating inside my room. Our youngest sister loves to eat inside my room while playing Roblox. Living in a small dormitory back in college traumatized me when I encountered ants all over our place because we ate inside. Lesson learned! I have a lot of bedroom rules but I guess I'll share the others next time. Anyway, I enjoyed cleaning my bedroom awhile ago. I also discovered that I still have been keeping a lot of skin care stuff that are expired already! Good thing I'm not using those, so I threw them out. Since I'm enjoying cleaning while listening to upbeat songs, I decided to clean my younger sister's bed too. She was not at home since yesterday because she was so busy doing her duty as the chairman of their student council. When I saw her bed, I almost thought it's a storage room! HAHAHA because of how messy it was! Her clothes are on her bed, her chargers, her pillows and blanket are not properly arranged. Aigoo! But then again, I'm in the mood to clean so I did it anyway. After cleaning, my father bought me snacks! I didn't asked him though because I'm thinking of ordering through Grabfood as a reward for myself but he did it instead. He bought my favorites - turon, kwek kwek, and siomai! It's his treat. As of the moment, I have several tabs opened because I'm trying to catch up on reading articles and responding to comments in all the blogging platforms I have, although I think my eyes are telling me to do it tomorrow instead. The Jacket That Surprisingly Made My Heart Melt I went out yesterday for a walk to see my two other friends in school. It was supposed to be a date with my partner but due to unseen circumstances, Wil needs to cancel the date. My default reaction was to say 'it's okay' even though deep inside it's not. I've already mentioned this several times that I value the time I'm spending with other people, that's why when you scheduled something, like a date or even just a quick catch up, I'll look forward to it. I hate cancellations because for me, it means I'm not worth your time. It was raining cats and dogs yesterday that I thought of not to go out anymore, but then again, my conscience is telling me to push through despite the weather. So I did. My partner texted me 'Take care!'. I replied that I'm still on my way to the school to see my friends and that I'm going to the Uptown Mall later, near Wil's residence. Unexpectedly, Wil asked if we can meet then. *Namiss siguro ako.* So I agreed. We met at the entrance of the mall. As I look at Wil, I noticed the jacket. Usually, Wil only bring a jacket if we're going to the cinemas since it's cold inside, or when we're having a road trip. Ooooh, plus, our tops are matchy matchy!! I was wearing a beige Zara croptop and Wil was wearing a beige tee! I'm always amazed whenever we see each other wearing the same color even without discussing it beforehand. I didn't bother to ask about the jacket though because I'm chasing the operating time of Union Bank in the mall. I need to encash my check. I started waiting at the lobby at 4pm and I finished encashing at 6pm! Ugh. There's a long queue and it was freaking cold inside! I thought I am in a freezer or something. The tips of my fingers are getting numb because of the cold. Geez. There were no other vacant seats. I wanted to go outside for awhile but I'm worried I might miss my spot. While waiting, I borrowed Wil's jacket. I love borrowing my partner's jacket as it feels like I'm hugging Wil and I could also smell Wil's scent. I'm really glad that Wil brought a jacket. Then, I asked, what's with the jacket My partner is not the person who feels cold easily, then Wil said, ***'because you shiver when it's cold, I just thought you might be needing my jacket because of the weather'*** and yes I did 🥺 Wil never fails to show small gestures that mean a lot! Weekend Realization: I Had Enough Screen Time I took some time to reflect on the events of the last few weeks. I'm glad I created an account on Hive, I get to have and know more virtual friends on Discord. It was fun! But the downside is, I wasn't efficient with my time recently. My friends on the outside world is waving. I wasn't able to post here daily like I used to in the previous weeks. Likewise on noisecash. Additionally, I was unable to go out regularly as I always did. **My world without WiFi is already calling me.** I should spend more time with my friends, partner, and family, especially with myself. I always take it into account to have my alone time. That's why I took a step back today. I scheduled every single activity I'm going to do using my laptop or phone, including writing an article here, or on hive, on noise, and even interacting with my virtual friends too. Everything I've mentioned matters to me that's why I want to use my time wisely as I do those things. My plate was full and I wasn't able to focus on some things because I had devoted my time to a single task only. Now, I have to set a timer every time I write an article. Before writing, I should have a specific topic in mind to talk about or else, I won't be using my laptop. I usually listen to music as I brainstorm writing topics, but most of the time I end up watching a film or television show instead of really writing. If we don't have a specific schedule or time to follow, we're bound to use our time to anything that will catch our attention instantly. I also limit my screen time on my phone. If I already maximized the time allotted in a day, my screen will automatically set into its grayscale mode. Another habit that I need to instill is saying NO. Recently, I've been saying YES to everything, which has filled my schedule. It's okay to take a break from time to time and spend time offline, especially now that I'm managing more blogs, I really need to set time in making an article and living my life outside those blogs too. Now that I'm actually restricting myself, it's pretty challenging, but I have faith that I'll soon get the hang of it. Occasionally, give yourself some time. Set some boundaries. It's Here, Getting Ready For LDR For The First Time One of my non-negotiables or fixed terms when it comes to relationships is that I don't want to enter a long-distance commitment. My top love language is quality time. I can't compromise spending time with people I love. So, if I spend time with you even if my schedule is hectic, you'd know I cherish your existence. In an eight year relationship with my partner, we had discussed this several times already. What if one of us left the country for greener pastures? How are we going to deal with it? We both wanted to go to a lot of countries together - Japan, Korea, Singapore, and a lot more. We even applied to an agency in Japan, we're both qualified but we didn't pursue it because pandemic happened. My partner has all the requirements already but didn't push it through because W is waiting for me to complete mine. I was still indecisive then, because it was not my decision to go out of the country yet. I even had several breakdowns because I'm already thinking that our relationship would eventually end if W will leave the country. I just can't stop thinking of the what-ifs when we enter LDR and at the same time, I just couldn't leave the country yet for I feel that I'm still needed here. With all the stories I've heard, from families and friends, I thought I can't handle it. Now, everything's settled. W is leaving the country for greener pastures and I'm so proud of what my partner has reached so far. I've been there when W was still processing papers and reviewing for IELTS. This time, I've accepted the fact that we need to go through this road in order for us to grow. I don't want to hinder W's growth just because I'm scared of being in LDR set-up. I don't want to leave the country too just because my partner said so, well W isn't forcing me though. W's been very supportive in everything I do, and it's time for me to do the same, even if it means we're not seeing each other physically for two years or more. We even wanted to be engaged already so even if it's LDR, we know we're committed, to take it more seriously. But, being engaged is just another title for us to hold on to. I know we're both genuine with what we feel and do so we brushed off the idea. Plus, we're both competitive, we don't want the engagement to be the same with just any other day, we want it to be memorable as well. I don't also like the idea that we're just doing the engagement because we're scared of losing each other lol. If W really wants me, better make an effort while we're in LDR, of course, I'll do the same. I guess I've matured enough to trust the love we feel for each other. *Eww, so cheesy naman nito, di ako sanay hahaha* LDR means we are more responsible to make it work despite the distance. This is the time to prove that if we truly value each other, we'll make time. W will leave a few weeks from now. I still have a few weeks to spend time with my partner. Epic, My Mom Thought I'm Having A Baby My mom really thought I'm having a baby. Here's the reason why: These past two weeks, I placed numerous orders on Shopee. Package after package came, Kuya delivery guy keeps on calling my name. My mom is puzzled as to why I've been receiving so many parcels lately. She knows I receive 2 to 3 parcels a day but despite knowing it, she still asked. One of the things I bought is baby oil. Too lazy to go out, eh? I find it exhausting to go out just to buy my essentials so I ordered them online. The baby oil is for cleaning my ears. I use cotton buds with baby oil to clean just the surface and at the back of my ear, though I also clean them when I'm taking a bath, it just feels nice when I clean it again lol. Another is the Johnson's baby shampoo. I decided to switch brands of my shampoo because it's being too harsh on my hair. My hair has been frizzy for months already by using Head and Shoulders and Pantene. Though I don't use shampoo everyday, I use creamsilk conditioner every other day, but still not enough for my hair to go back to its normal state. I looked for paraben-free products as it helps to make the hair healthier. I was torn if I'd go for Human Nature's shampoo or the Johnson's Baby Shampoo. I ordered the latter. My mom saw me with these products then she asked if I'm pregnant and that if I'm expecting a baby. Lol. She asked if I'm stocking some baby needs already, little did she know it's for me, her baby! hahaha *I remembered an anecdote while we're having this conversation. I was in the hospital for a check up with my OB (obstetrician-gynecologist) for my menstrual cramps. The OB asked if I'm pregnant, of course I said no. The OB assumed I couldn't tell the truth because my mom was there, so she asked again if I'm pregnant and asked my mom to leave the room so I could be honest. My mom informed the OB that she knows everything and that I wasn't really pregnant. Lol.* But just seeing these things I've ordered, she suspects me already! How I wish I'm already expecting a baby without getting pregnant at all. I'm not ready to commit into this serious mother-child relationship. I still want to enjoy the moments of being single, and when I say single, I meant in a relationship. For now, I'd let my mom treat me as if I'm still her baby. It's almost 2am as of this writing. Free Food Pack on a Monday Hola! It's been awhile since the last time I've written an article here. I've been very busy these past few days because of work, side hustles, and travels. Anyway, yesterday my father picked up my youngest sister's medal from her school. She finished grade three with honors and I'm amazed that my former school, where my youngest sister is currently enrolled, is giving medals to students who has awards. During my time, only the star section or class 1 has the right to receive such awards. Those who belong to the star section has the highest grades. The top students in other sections only received certificates or ribbons made by teachers but not medals like this. The grades of the top students in other sections are still far from the grades of those who belong to the star section. I always find it unfair, even if I belong to the star section all through out my life as a student. If you belong to section 2 from the start, you'll be defined by your section already and has no chance to be transferred to the star section, even if you excel in your class. Now, there are no rankings anymore. There's no section 1 or lower sections. All are equal. You mind your own business. You excel on your own. I'm glad this has been developed over the years even if we hadn't experience it. That's why my sister was able to get her own medal. The award system nowadays is better than before. The only person they should beat is their former selves. Moving on, aside from the medal, my father also brought home the food pack from the city government. Every year, the city government distributes food packs to all students from preschool to senior high school. Thanks to all the taxpayers in our city! This food pack distribution aims to suffice the hunger of students. It was given at the end of the school year as a reward to all the students in our city for finishing another school year. Aside from this, the students were also given uniforms, black shoes, rubber shoes, P.E. uniform, and all the school supplies they need for the school year. My Sister Sent an Informative Screenshot Haloo! Welcome back to my ***parenting by eldest sister, C*** series. Lol. I had another circumstance where I used my parenting skills as the eldest in the family. It happened yesterday, when my youngest sister went home after playing outside the house for more than two hours. It's school break. Usually it's summer at the end of a school year but since there are changes in their academic calendar, their break started last month. My parents don't usually allow my youngest sister to go outside and play with other kids because they're worried that she might got sick from playing with street kids. They're like that ever since. I'm just glad me and my younger sister, the middle child, were rebellious back then haha we used to sneak out when my parents weren't around, we were able to experience playing outside and got bruises too! Anyway, since everything has changed when my youngest sister was born, I became a part of parenting her. Since last month, we gave her a chance to mingle with other kids inside our property, meaning they can play only within our residential gate. After eating her lunch, she'd take a bath, wear her watch then she'll tell me when she's ready to go out. She always make sure to bring her watch with her so she'll be aware of the time. She can only play outside until 5pm. She usually go out around 2pm, so she has at least 3 hours to play around. We do allowed her to do that because we refrain her from using her phone, her tablet, and her laptop as much as possible. Since she's been using those gadgets for like two years already because of online class set-up. She went back at 5pm yesterday, together with her friend. They went inside the house to play once again. My father, after seeing them ready to play once more, told them to stop playing and be back again tomorrow because it's already 5pm. My sister, who's really into playing that time, gets her phone and began rushing to the bedroom. I witnessed everything as I eat my snack in the kitchen. My younger sister, the middle child, asked me why our youngest is frowning. I told her the whole situation. After eating my snack, I hurried to the bedroom to see what our youngest is doing. When we say ***NO*** to kids, it's appropriate to explain why we said no. Oftentimes, they misunderstand our intentions to the point that they'd hold grudges. When I was about to talk to her, she sent a message in our group chat that somehow made me amazed and laugh at the same time, although I didn't let my sister see that I'm laughing inside. She sent an informative screenshot in our group chat, together with the question ***Do you know how important is playing for a child?*** I was amazed for the reason that she knows her right and that she can search for something like this on the internet but I'm also terrified of the thought that she can search anything she wants to learn, even the inappropriate ones, so we should be aware of what she does using her phone. I waited for a while for my parents to do something but they didn't bat an eye. They're busy attending to their personal stuff. Again, it's my duty as the eldest to do something, or else, my youngest sister might hold it against my parents as she grows. I explained to her the reason why our father said no awhile ago. We didn't refrain her from playing. In fact, we love to see her play without using her gadgets. I appreciate the fact that she's right on how important the role of playing is for kids but ***everything must have a limit, or else, there'd be chaos***. I cited examples so she can understand. Also, if we let her friend play inside, her friend's parents might be worried since it's almost night and we didn't want it to happen. Another thing I highlighted during our small talk is respect. My First Step on Hive: Introducing Myself I know you've been reading some articles about users here joining Hive as well. I found myself messaging ate @kneelyrac about Hive since it's been on my list since January but I haven't had the time to create an account and learn about its ways fully. The signs for me to create an account and start my journey there were too loud so I seized the opportunity to join already since I still have a month of rest left (school break). I joined the Hive PH Community on discord, thanks to the article of ate @Jane I was able to join the part 2 of their onboarding webinar. I was busy when the part one was ongoing. It's quite complicated if you don't have any experience yet. I believe every beginning is difficult. The first step I need to do is to introduce myself. My first thought, 'Ohh, like Appics!' because I only have noisecash, readcash, and appics so I can only compare it to them. In appics, we also need to have our introduction but not as detailed compared to Hive. I also introduced myself here on readcash as my first article but then again, I find it different on Hive. On Hive, I felt the need to somehow reveal my face, unlike here, on noisecash, and on appics. I've been anonymous in my other blogging accounts but on Hive, I'll treat it as my all-in-one diary, although I won't be posting rants there, it's more on my life's happenings and shenanigans. For me, Hive is a stricter version of readcash and more aesthetic that's why I'm currently loving it there. I like challenging myself so posting high quality blogs on Hive definitely is a challenge for me. I made sure that my intro is somehow good enough for others to get to know me. It took me days before I finally posted it. I joined Hive last *July 7, 2022* but I only posted my intro yesterday. I was having a hard time picking pictures and how am I going to introduce myself. While I was editing my intro post, I was reminded me of my Tumblr days, where I used codes to make my blog aesthetically pleasing. Ahh those days! Finally, I decided to reveal my face, but not fully yet though. I used pictures that are not that recognizable as I still value my privacy. Life's Surprise: It Looks Like Fate Lead Us Here Do you believe in Fate? Do you believe that some things are meant to happen? Perhaps it's already time to share a portion of my love life here. The title itself tells you that life surprised me and that it feels like fate had lead us where we are now. It took two years for my partner to confess and the things that happened in between are history. Before I start, just a little background, **W** is my partner. We've been classmates since second year high school but I believe fate had been playing with us since first year high school. Maybe it was just coincidence? But, do you believe in fate? Because I do! I really think it's not coincidence. Let me tell you the reason why. 1st Year High School After our grade school graduation, we were asked to take the entrance examination of the high school in our community. I had taken the entrance examination to the nearest Science High School as well because my grades are qualified. Unfortunately, I didn't pass there lol. If I did, I would be able to see James Reid personally because he studied there. *Sayang!* So the only high school left for me is the nearest one, and that is probably two minutes walk from our house. Lucky me! All the schools here, even the church and marketplace are near to our residential house. The day came when the results were posted in school. It's time to see our sections. Guess what? My name was written in two sections! Meaning, I belong to two sections. Lol. In our school, there are two curriculums being implemented, the first one is BEC where they will only focus on the common subjects, Math, Science, English, Social Studies, and the like while the second curriculum offers Technical Vocational Skills or TVE like Cooking, ICT, Garments, Cosmetology, Drafting, and a lot more. So in short, my name belongs to the star section of BEC and star section of TVE. To clarify, my parents and I went to the principal's office where they let me choose the section I want to attend to. Here's the funny thing, I have a grade school set of friends. One attended the Science High School where I didn't pass, the other one belongs to the BEC star section, and the other two belong to the TVE star section. It was a tough decision to make. Finally, I decided to stick with TVE star section with my two other friends. ***What's the coincidence?*** W was in the BEC star section! Oh come on, if I had chosen that one, we already know each other then. But wait, before the regular classes started, W was transferred into one of the sections in TVE. W should've been in the star section where I belong but my section was already full at that time. W's room was just one room away from me and my first year high school friends were W's friends back in gradeschool! Coincidence? Maybe. Second Year High School This is the time when we became classmates. Since we're under the TVE curriculum, we were divided and sorted out based on the subject of our highest grade. Each section was assigned to have their own major subject for TVE, ours is Cooking and Baking. When I saw W in the room, the first thought that came to mind is that that kid right there is so cool! Like totally cool. W is the classmate you want to get to know because W radiates mysterious vibe and I'm really into those kind of people I don't know why. **Another coincidence.** We were chosen to participate in the Research Team to compete for the Science Month. We belong to the same group! And that's where we became close.. but not that close. Two months after the class started, W invited me. For what? A birthday party. W's birthday! We barely know each other then, we were just classmates and groupmates and yet W invited me already hahahaha, ***da moves!*** *I'll continue sharing the next part next time. Why My Nine Year Old Sister Quickly Left The House Rainy afternoon to all of you. It's funny how the skies are crying, together with my younger sister as she was trying to fix what's broken. It happened awhile ago, while I was exploring the Hive. I signed up last night thanks to ate Caryl @keeneek who sent me the link for me to start my Hive account. As I explore the communities and read some articles and blogs for newbies like me, I felt the desire to go to the restroom for the nth time already. I don't know what made my stomach upset, I had only eaten dinakdakan and rice for lunch alongside coffee because I woke up late. Since I thought I might have gotten diarrhea, I searched for something in the fridge that will calm my angry stomach. Luckily, I found Yakult in the freezer. While I was about to go my room, my youngest sister saw me holding my yakult and she wanted to have some. She also thought I was hiding all the Yakult in the refrigerator because she hadn't seen some for awhile and all she had were her Mogu Mogus. I hurried to the refrigerator and get her some yakult. I was on my way again to my laptop when I saw my younger sister, lying in the bed, scrolling through her phone and her tablet got my attention. ***Hey, why is it shattered?*** I was referring to the glass of her tablet. She had two, but the one she uses often was this one. At first she thought I was joking because I used to joke around them. She checked her tablet and saw that the glass was cracked. We were talking as I was opening the yakult of my youngest sister. When I was about to give the yakult to her, she was gone. She's the kid who lets us know first before going out of the house but this time, she didn't tell us. She was gone in seconds! I was worried because she don't usually do this. It's the first time. My younger sister and I became suspicious. Our youngest might have been the one who did this to her tablet. I told my parents about my youngest sister. I looked for her outside until I reached our gate but she's not there. I wonder, where is she? I went home frustrated as I haven't found her yet. I told my mom again about this despite her working. She left her workstation at home and looked for her once again. She came back together with our youngest. Thank God! With all the missing people being mentioned in the news and social medias, thoughts keep rushing in our minds. She was in our neighbor's house, playing with our neighbor's kid. I told her first that her Yakult is in the refrigerator before asking her questions about the tablet. As a teacher, I don't want to blame anyone. I'd ask questions without sounding like it's an interrogation. I asked her first if she's playing with the kid and what they're playing. She was nervous. She thought she's in danger. I'm sad to be honest, that this is how she was feeling. Our parents were strict that's why when we had our youngest sister, I made sure that parenting will be different this time since I've learned about childcare and child development and the factors that affect our growth. I made sure it is a safe space for her to open up what happened to the tablet. She said she heard our conversation and she thought that our parents would get angry and shout at her so she quickly ran away from home. How sad. She also confessed that she was the one who did that, well, it's an accident. She was jumping on the bed when she stepped on something, sadly, it was our sister's tablet. She said sorry after we talked. The damage has been done and she already said her sorry. She can't do anything about it because she's still a kid. My sister isn't that angry as well because she knows that placing her tablet on the bed, under her blanket is a wrong move as well. I'm just glad that I was able to talk to my youngest sister calmly or else it would turn out differently. As the eldest, it became my responsibility as well. July 8, 2022

Perspective: Get Used To It Or Make It Fair ***Life isn't fair and expect the worse.*** That's what my cousin told her daughter when I overheard their conversation. My niece replied, '***But we can make it fair, right? Then it could be better.'*** They have two opposing perspectives and I must say I believe in each but it depends on the circumstance I am experiencing. When I experience something good therefore I say, ***Wow! I am living the best life***, then when something bad happens, I'll switch to ***Life is so unfair!*** I don't know about you but when I was a kid, I was taught that ***life consists of everything good and fair***. I should be honest, and nice, and generous, and polite. I should respect the elders. I should show compassion. I must share what I have with those who are in need or else I'm selfish. I should help whenever there's a chance to help. The world offers kindness and perfection. Maybe that's why I myself has this kind of trait, being perfectionist in some sort. There are also times when I was being presented that life is unfair and ugly - knowing the story of villains in movies and books, the crimes, the injustices taught me this. **Which one should I believe in? Was life really fair or should we get used to it?** Life is not fair in a million ways. We can state a lot of examples why life is unfair for you, for me, and for them but I believe there's a chance for it to be fair. I love watching crime stories. When my mom and dad permit me to go outside and play, I either read books or watch crime stories because my father likes to watch them too. Until now, I still watch documentaries and crime stories, either solved or unresolved. Analyzing each story, I realized life isn't fair. A family that was just taking a vacation then the next day their kid was abducted. It was cruel. But here's the thing, they worked really hard after those experiences - to get the laws enacted, to solve the mysteries, ***to make life fair for others even for them it is not***. In these circumstances, I believe there's a chance for it to be fair. There are people who are willing to make it fair for all of us, isn't it nice? ***Life isn't fair because people make it so***, do you agree? My Preference: I Like It Big What do you think I'd talk about in this piece? Perhaps you have a lot of guesses on your mind. The big I'm talking about could be a material thing, a part of the body - ooops! haha, it could be about finances, or maybe a house? Drop those thoughts because my topic in this article isn't about those. It's about my preference when it comes to family members. To those of you who follow me on noisecash would probably know by now that I have two younger sisters - the younger one is currently in 3rd year college and the other one is a third grader. It was 15 years before the youngest was born so most of my classmates before thought she is my daughter lol. I was just in high school back then. Before the youngest was born, me and my second sister usually wear *terno* clothes, as if we're twins. If she's wearing a jumper, I'd wear a jumper too but in a different color and size since I'm four years older. When it's her birthday, it's my birthday too, meaning I receive gifts as well. I don't know why my relatives do that, even my parents' friends. Maybe they thought the other one would get jealous. We fought oftentimes because of our differences. I love to read books, she loves to play *pogs*. Lol. I don't know if you can relate about *pogs* but here is a reference for those who are curious. I did play pogs too when I was younger but then I was not into it unlike my sister. If she saved her allowance for pogs, I saved mine to buy magazines and books. Growing up, we only had each other's back. My parents were both busy working for us. They were strict back then. We cannot play outside the house because my mom doesn't like us to mingle with the other street kids while my father's the opposite though my mom's rules are always the ones being followed. We can only stay at home. What do you expect from us kids? Of course, we'll beak the rules lol. We were good kids though but as kids, we long for play time. We can't play ***agawan base***, or ***ten twenty*** if we're only two, right? Because those games are best played with a lot of players. There was a time when we were so bored at home and we want to play ten twenty. We made use of chairs as standee and the other one will stand as well while the other plays. I was so frustrated back then and that's when I wish we were many. I wished I had more siblings to play with. Whenever my aunt asks us to go to their house, my sister and I would jump for joy because we have our cousins to play with. My aunt E had six beautiful daughters so imagine the joy and excitement in our eyes whenever we go there to play. Also, when there are gatherings, it was soo fun to deal with people. Well, that's my perspective, and my sister's too. We are extroverts and we love dealing with people. So, ***my preference when it comes to having my own family is that I like it big.*** I like to have more than 2 children when the time comes for me. Of course I know the higher the number of kids the bigger the responsibility is. That's why I told my partner I want to settle my finances first and be ready emotionally, mentally, physically, financially before having our own family. Cousins Of The Same Age: The Highlights And Challenges Do you have cousins who have the same age as you? Lucky you if you do have them. They say cousins who have the same age as you have a special relationship because you get along with each other more than the other cousins who are younger or older than you. In my father's side, unfortunately, I don't have a cousin of the same age. My father is the eldest so we belong to the eldest and youngest set of grandchildren. My youngest sister is the youngest among the grandchildren while I came second. Our eldest cousin is 4 years older than me. In my mother's side, fortunately, I have two guy cousins of the same age. Lucky! We were born at the same year but they were older than me in months. In my mother's side, we belong to the youngest set of grandchildren because my mom is the youngest in their family. All our cousins in her side has their own families already aside from me and my other two guy cousins. Having cousins of the same age has its pros and cons and in this piece, let me share with you some of them. Last month, we were informed that our ate, who's 2 years older than me, is getting married. Actually, we treat her as if she's the same age as me and my two boy cousins. The two kids on the left are siblings. The boy has the same age as me and that's our ate, who's two years older than us. They live in Cagayan because that's where their father works. My uncle there is a politician and they have several businesses there so they can only go here in Manila during their free time. Whenever they go here in Manila, they always make sure to visit me even if they're here for business trips most of the time. When I heard the announcement that she's getting married, I was excited and shocked at the same time. Excited because finally, she's having her own family. Shocked because I realized we're getting old already. I mean, it feels just yesterday when we were just playing and having trips in Manila Zoo as kids and now, I'll attend her wedding ceremony in a few weeks. That realization hit me once again. We are getting older. I am getting older. All my cousins have their own families already except from me, and my two boy cousins. The pressure is real, can you feel it? For sure, in her wedding, most of my aunties and uncles will surely ask us when we will get married as well as if we had plans already lol. So, what's the best thing to do if people ask questions regarding this matter? My cousins of the same age are also in a relationship. Event so, we don't like to be asked regarding marriage. Perhaps this is one of the challenges if you have cousins of the same age, when they get married, you too is expected by the family or the society to get married as well as if you have the same timeline in life. He Won By Just Sitting and Looking at the Screen As for me, weekends are also for hustling. I teach kids even on weekends. I used to be a Kids Church teacher every Sunday but since the pandemic happened, I looked for ways on how to spend my weekends as meaningful as possible. Luckily, I have found a way on how to earn extra cash on weekends. I tutor my nephew, my cousin's son, every weekend for a price cheaper than my usual tutorial rate because they're family. My usual tutorial rate is Php 500 per hour but for them it's only Php 200. My nephew is 5 years old and loves to play so it's really a struggle to let him do some tasks, especially when it comes to writing. In our city, the students from pre-kindergarten up until senior high school receive full academic materials, from uniform, shoes, snacks, notebooks, bags, rubber shoes, P. E. uniform, and a lot more. Since my nephew is just in pre-kindergarten and learning from home using a laptop is difficult for a kid like him. Kids like him should be at school and do interactive and physical activities because they learn easier that way, they're still playful. Everytime we have tutorial session, I make sure we use the things given by the city government in our activities. There are clays, board, crayons, mini abacus, flashcards, mini clock, and a lot more. Maybe I'll name them next time in one of my articles this month. Our tutorial sessions make me laugh and exhausted at the same time. He's the kind of kid who always ask questions about everything. I love kids like him. Curious. But sometimes, he can't help it. There are times when we are writing the alphabet but he keeps on stopping letter after letter because he asks questions that are not related to our topic. Of course, as a teacher, I always make sure to answer him but I also remind him that we should focus on what we're doing. I'm glad he finished pre-kindergarten with a smile on his face. Last week, the school announced that there would be an online event for the pre-kindergarten students. My cousin and my auntie were so excited because finally, my tutee's hard work paid off. He'll be a kinder student this coming school year. When the program started online, my auntie asked my nephew to just sit down and watch. My nephew, with his curious trait, he asked ***Mananalo*** ***po*** ***ba*** ***ako*** ***dito?*** / Will I win here? We laughed. My aunt explained that it is not a game so all he needs to do is to sit and watch. My nephew is a good follower. He followed what my aunt told him. He watched as he sit. He watched and listened as the master of the ceremony announce and present the students from other sections who are soon to be kinder students. By the moment his name was called and his picture was presented on screen, my nephew screamed - ***Nanalo ako, Lola, nanalo ako! /*** I won! I won! Grandma, I won! He jumped up and down. He was so happy. The rest of the family laughed because of his reaction. He thought he won because his name was called. After the program, he told his other cousins, my other nephews and nieces, that he won and that his classmates won as well. Lol. I can't stop laughing. As I was typing this, I am still smiling as I recall his reaction. Living Solo In a 100-tile Tiny House is Better If you will ask me, is it really better to live solo in a hundred tiles tiny house? This is my answer. I've lived in a much smaller space before when I was in college. It as a dormitory life back then, and I must say it is one of the things that honed me as a young adult because I learned a lot living alone, although I'm not really alone as I lived with my partner back then. When I was playing Sims 4 last night, I thought why not make another challenging scenario, to make another household where the character is just living in a hundred tile house. I find it difficult because if you have a lot of money in Sims 4, you'd perhaps use it to beautify your home, to purchase any equipment available to level up your skills. It's a game where any thing is possible, your roommate could be a mermaid, your maid could be an alien, or your neighbor might be a werewolf. I challenged myself. I must create a 100-tile home where the character is a young adult, and doesn't have enough money, to make it realistic. Most of the young adults entered adulting without enough money. So here it is, my first tiny living household. I created the character with a pet dog but as I play it, I realized that if a young adult doesn't have enough money for herself, then she doesn't have enough money either for her pet. Also, she doesn't have enough time to pet the dog for she's studying and working as well. I decided to remove the dog. This is the exterior of her house. I only put the necessities outside, a trashcan and a mailbox for receiving some mails and announcements from the city and her university. As you can see, it is just simple because it is tiny living. Maybe she'll renovate once she has enough money already. Here she is, cooking toast and eggs for breakfast. This is the kitchen and dining in one. There are no decorations yet because she doesn't have the money to buy yet hahaha *taghirap*. I only bought refrigerator, coffee maker, and the stove itself for her to cook her meals. This is the living room connected to the kitchen and dining. It is simple as you can see, it has three wide windows so she can save for electricity. It is already a big thing for young adults who are living solo to save some pennies. She has her computer set, a sofa set, mini bookshelf, speaker, and a television too. I put a box of tissues there near the bookshelf for movie watching purposes. Lol. This is another view of the living room without the computer set. Her bedroom consists of a bed, bedside table with make up tray, a guitar, clothes hanging, and a mood board. On the right side of her bed is a heater. Since this game has different seasons too, a heater is a must for winter season. The last one is the bathroom. Just the necessities, shower, toilet, sink, and a mirror. On her vacant time, she reads books and practices to play the guitar. One morning, she received a letter that she won a scholarship for her college admission. By the way, her name is Hyejin haha *Kdrama pa more.* Since she already has a scholarship, I decided to enroll her already in a university. Let me show you how the university works here in Sims 4: In Sims 4, each term lasts for only one week. I hope in real life too so but if it is, we won't have enough time to digest everything in a specific subject. There are only two schools in Sims 4 University: the ***University of Britechester and Foxbury Institute.*** Hyejin's skills didn't match the Foxbury Institute's standards so she can only enroll in University of Britechester. After choosing the university, it is now the time to choose which course to take. This one is a bit difficult because I want her to be a doctor but her skills are not that good yet for that course so I chose Language and Literature. Under this distinguished degree in UB, she can be an author or a lawyer. I prefer to be a lawyer in this world though. As much as I want her to experience the dormitory life, I opted to stay at home and only leave when she needs to go to class already because living in a dormitory near the school costs a lot. Again, she doesn't have enough money even if she's a working student. One of the things I like here in Sims 4 is that the student can pay the tuition fees through a student loan. But even if there's an option, I prefer to use my own funds to pay the fee since I still have enough. Don't borrow money if you still have sufficient funds with you. Each subject course costs $240 each and since she's taking 3 subjects this semester, the total tuition fee is $720. Good thing she's a scholar so she'll only pay $120! Yehey! That's her journey in applying in a University. She's attending classes in the afternoon and in the morning, she's working as a barista in a coffee shop. Living solo in a 100-tile house is a good thing because she can focus more on her studies and skills in a smaller house. Alignment is also the thing I should do this time. Not everything must be done. I want to taste everything in this life, that's why I am a multipotentialite wannabe. I want to try this and that, and those too. With this kind of mindset, I overwhelm quickly so I need to reset. **Restart.** To restart the phone, we all need to identify first the things we need to set up. What are the applications that we need? In life, we should do that too after we reset. What are the things we need? Do we need the opinion of other people? Do we need to impress our neighbors? Do we still need to attend those fake gatherings just to be exhausted at the end of the day? We need to carry only the must haves - family, partner, real friends, and positive vibes. **Refocus.** The past six months taught me that I shouldn't focus on what didn't matter to me. I used to notice every single thing, and I had given my energy to the things that didn't even matter. This time, I will reserve everything to the things that matter to me. Restocking Skin Care Products and Other Stuff on Payday Sale It is again the time of the month where we check out some must haves through our online shopping applications. I know some of you can relate, especially to those who loves to wander on Shopee. I admit, it takes 1-2 hours for me to just really scroll and look for stuff that I don't even need. The products on Shopee are cheap and you don't even need to go out to window shop although I miss going out and strolling in the mall just for the sake of window shopping. This June's Payday Sale, I opted to restock my skin care products and other stuff. My younger sister belongs to the Dean's Listers this semester and my youngest sister finished the school year with honors so I thought why not buy something for them too though I am planning to go out for a trip with them too this coming July. I am proud of how dedicated they are in learning. So, what are the products I checked out this Payday Sale? Skin Care Products **CeraVe Facial Wash** I have tried a lot of facial wash before but this one best suits my skin type. It is non-drying. It also has salicylic acid that helps my pimples every time I have one. It is important for us to know the ingredients of the products we use to help us with the things we need to fix. As for me, I need help with my pimples from time to time especially when the monthly visitor is about to visit, if you know what I mean. Since CeraVe is a well known brand and is quite expensive, I opted to buy it in trial pack because it is cheaper that way though I'm saving to buy the whole bottle itself. The 237ml of this facial cleanser costs Php 1,299 but the trial pack that I usually buy is just Php 159 for 20ml. Unlike any other toner that we use with the help of cotton balls, I use this one with my bare hands just like what the Koreans do when they are applying some products on their face using their hands. Of course, make sure first that your hands are clean before applying this on your face. It will not make sense if your hands are dirty. This is another brand of expensive stuff but I opted to buy in trial pack. This one costs only Php 118 for 30ml but the 200ml it is Php 910. This one is basically my holy grail. What I love about this shop is that whenever I order here, there's a freebie! In this case, the freebie is their toner. I might include that in my routine as well. Let's see first the effect. This Hyaloo moisturizer costs Php 365 for 200ml. Not bad though because it lasts for two months. **Canmake Mermaid Skin Sunscreen** This one is the smallest one yet expensive but the most essential among my skin care routine. I always make sure that I use sunscreen even when I'm just staying at home because I don't want to look old yet lol. This one is another holy grail that's why even if it is pricey, I still buy it. This sunscreen is non-greasy and has a really good effect on my skin. It is Php 595 for 40g. Oh, by the way, this product is from Japan. You know how Koreans and Japanese are also known for their good looking facial skin. This brand is trusted! I already bought it because it is chili. You must already know by now that I am a lover of foods with chili. That's the time I loved this snack. Ever since then, I always look for this in grocery stores unfortunately, it was not available. Luckily, I found this on shopee 7-11 cliqq store. My younger sister also loves this one so I ordered 3. I only ordered 3 because it is Php 20 each. Aigoo, just for this one, I spent Php 60. **Moby Caramel and Chocolate** My youngest sister loves Moby so much and she can't wait for my mom and dad to buy them for today's grocery agenda so I ordered this through shopee. This shop offers same day delivery so I chose that one so my sister can enjoy them already. *That's it for today's shopping haul. I only bought the essentials for this month's Payday Sale and hoping I'd do the same next month - no unnecessary purchases. It's quite difficult to earn money these days. Life Lessons From The Best Hit As you all know, I've been watching this Korean drama since last week. Watching Kdrama has been one of the ways of relaxing for me. The plot is not stressful and I make sure that every now and then, I get to release some 'feel good hormones' by laughing. I also mentioned in some of my articles that I am used to taking down notes and screenshots of the lines that I think will help me go through whatever phase I am in. In this case, this Kdrama left a lot of life lessons as I watch it. **The Best Hit** was released last 2017. Let me tell you something about this kdrama. *It is about a 23 year old Hyun Jae from the popular group J2. So imagine the outfit, the songs, the lifestyle back then. He is a famous song artist not until he went missing in 1994.* *A typhoon hits South Korea and this lead him to go back into the future where he finds his loved ones, his manager and his girlfriend back in 1993 are living miserably because of his disappearance in 1994.* In this article are the lessons I've gained from watching this great Kdrama. ***Time never flows backwards. I hope you don't have any regrets.*** One of my weaknesses in life is to have regrets. I know we all have our own couple of regrets in living the life we currently have but it's up to us whether we'll dwell in those regrets. Sometimes I look back and I can't help to think the what ifs of the past. What if I had taken a different path? What if I had chosen a different field? Would my life be different? Would my life be better? There are no specific answers to those questions I had in mind. All I know is that I had taken the path that I want and I don't have any regrets. It was bumpy and rocky. It was never a smooth path but I know my heart is content with that. We shouldn't linger in the past for it will only make our lives miserable by questioning everything we didn't take, everything we didn't choose. ***We may look like we're nothing now, but I'm sure we'll be alright.*** ***Things will work out.*** I badly needed this line to remind me that things will eventually work out for me. We all had our misfortunes and often times we want to give up already. This line from this kdrama reminds me of the line of a bridge of one of my favorite worship songs ***'You make all things work together for my good'***. I have trust with whatever is happening to me is all for my sake. I might be facing struggles, I know life threw me a bunch of problems because I needed to learn from them. In life, we are bound to learn what we need. Without these struggles, I might not become a stronger person who can deal with bigger problems. ***Don't live too diligently and don't live only for the future.*** This girl from the kdrama doesn't know how to live in the present. She keeps on working for her future. At times, we need to appreciate what we currently have. It's already mainstream but let us live in the present moment. Let us appreciate what we have right now. Future isn't guaranteed, you'll never know when you are going to disappear. You might not be able to enjoy the things you've been working on since the beginning. Live. ***We still have our best hit coming.*** The title itself is THE BEST HIT. Whenever I watch a certain movie or read a certain book, I always ask myself the reason behind the title. I guess as a Literature major, it is already a habit. The Best Hit has its multiple meanings in this kdrama series. **The typhoon.** The typhoon can be the best hit that happened to the main character, it is when he can go back in time. **The car hit.** There is a specific scene where a car hit a certain person and everything has changed. I won't spoil you though. Watch it. **Their debut.** In Korean setting, the debut of a group performer is an achievement. In this case, their debut is the best hit. It's up to you which of these meanings relate to the title itself. As of me, I'll take them all. *The best hit for me can be something you really want. One of the Series that has the Best Soundtrack Heyyyooo! It feels like forever but it's just yesterday that I haven't been active here. I actually had taken a break on doing things related to screen time. I felt guilty though, for not reading your articles and not interacting. Also, it's been days since or weeks already since I publish an article per day and it felt like a sin not to publish one, or is it just me? Anyway, here I am, writing this article. It is ironic how I took a screen break but all I did yesterday was to watch the current kdrama I'm obsessed with. I was still awake until 3am awhile ago because I am eager to finish it already. I'm that hooked to this kdrama. Another thing I'm currently into is its *original soundtrack* (OST). The songs are really good! In this piece, I will share with you the songs I loved about this kdrama. At first, I wanted to share the lessons I've gathered from watching this but since the songs are on repeat while I'm writing this, might as well share them all already. Funny how I asked myself why I am not aware of this one before, then I remembered I was not into kdrama back then. As someone who might have the quarter life crisis, sometimes I think of the dreams that I badly want but I haven't achieved yet. While watching the series and upon hearing this song, there's an adrenaline that pushes me to move forward in reaching my dreams.
