The story of my lost baggage from Taiwan to Cebu
It was my second trip to Taiwan in December 2016. I just love Taiwan and the flights to this country were very cheap from AirAsia and Cebu Pacific. So I took advantage of going there without a visa. My first trip to Taiwan happened in November 2016. Yes, I was so lucky to return after a month. I was on a budget trip. For many years of travel, I learned how to travel without being expensive.
So here goes the story of my lost baggage. Inside my bag are my laptop and chocolates for souvenirs.
A Taiwanese friend met me at Taoyuan Airport and he said that we were on the same flight to Cebu. He is living in Cebu until now. Previously, we met on a party boat hosted by a hostel in Cebu.
I had so many bags with me. I put my luggage upstairs. The crew told me to put my laptop bag under my seat.
My Taiwanese friend was originally seating away from me. Since the middle seat in my row is empty, he decided to seat beside me. There was a Taiwanese girl on the window seat. I was seated on the aisle so that I can easily go to the toilet area.
We were having a fun conversation. He decided to talk to the Taiwanese girl. They were talking in Mandarin. Then we gave her tips on how to enjoy Cebu.
We arrived in Cebu safely. My friend and I took a MyBus to SM City Cebu and we parted ways from there.
When I arrived home, I realized I lost my laptop bag. I was in a panic. I tried to recall where I left it.
Going home to my hometown was not easy as it took me another 3 hours to go home. I was very tired inside the multicab so I was in a panic that maybe I left it in the small cab and somebody took it. I was in horror.
A backstory of my lost baggage

Backstory: the previous female crew wearing a red uniform denied that they don't have my backpack even though I showed my reference number. I went to the lost and found department of the airport but they don't have it as well.
I called the AirAsia hotline and gave me full details again that my lost baggage was indeed at the AirAsia check-in area. The agent suggested I should insist AirAsia crew for helping me.
I was HANGRY (hungry + angry). This was supposed to be a smooth transaction. So I bought Shawarma rice and Large Thirsty Buko Mango Shake because I was freaking HANGRY.
So I went back inside the check-in area of the airport. I saw an old woman who was struggling to put her things in the X-Ray area before passing the security so I helped her. Another staff at the airport helped as well and another male crew got a wheelchair for the old woman.
After several minutes when I approached the cute male crew with his spectacles on, another female crew wearing her black uniform got out of the door with my laptop backpack.
I found it, at last, still inside with a laptop, 50mm Nikon lens, chocolates, and other stuff.
Okay, that was my frustrating day at the airport turned out well.
I lost my laptop backpack on the day of my arrival on Dec 14, 2016, from Taipei to Cebu and found it after 4 days, Dec 18, 2016.
I am grateful to my clients as well for giving me time to search for my lost laptop.
Next time, I will blog about my Taiwan travel experiences. There's a lot actually so I don't know which one to blog as I have other travel memories as well. :D
I start a Zumba Sunday
We woke up late at 2 in the afternoon because my husband and I slept so late. He was doing his woodwork. Alexandre and Elise were already sleeping. It took me time to sleep but I fell asleep at 5 AM.
When all of us are awake, we spent a few hours hugging and snuggling in the bed with the kids. It's our daily ritual to give hugs and kisses to kids and to each other. Aww, so sweet!
I went to the shower and washed. I put on lotion to my skin, especially on my legs. I had trouble with the pores of my skin as it was clogged. Maybe the lotion helps. I told my husband and he said that the ski helped to open the pores. I must disagree but okay, I shut my mouth. I told him that I will start a Zumba workout today. Haha!

I stopped because Elise was crying. So I gave her milk then Alexandre started his tantrum as he wanted to watch cartoons on YouTube. I gave him my iPad and watched on it. I continued my Zumba, then he started watching me again. Elise was in the bed and started smiling while watching me dancing.
I gave food to Elise as she was hungry. My husband gave bread to Alexandre. I finished two pain au chocolat. Then I go back to Zumba to complete the routine. The husband prepared our late lunch.

I started the second video because it's interesting to learn the beginner dance workout but I stopped because Alexandre had his tantrum again. He was tired. I changed his clothes, and diaper, and put him to sleep.
Elise is starting to be sleepy so I gave her my milk. My husband wants to sleep and snuggle me in the bed. Hahaha!
Everybody is sleeping and enjoyed the afternoon nap. I got tired from the Zumba. My legs are aching, the same feeling I felt during our one-week holiday in the French Alps.

I am hoping that doing Zumba every day will become a habit. I just purchased two yoga mats, one for me and one for my mother-in-law. I purchased it at AliExpress and it will arrive on May 30. I paid 13 Euro.
I am happy that I put on a bra that I bought in Spain. It is actually a bra for women who have undergone surgery so the opening is in front. It is not a wired bra. It is very comfortable. I am not sure if I have plans to buy a yoga or a workout outfit which I can say is very expensive. So, I'll just wear whatever I have that makes me comfortable and not expensive.
It's a lazy day, Saturday
Now, I feel it's a weekend. As I am very lazy today. The husband will fix the water pump so no laundry and washing the dishes this afternoon. I prepared to load the dishes machine with some dirty plates and put a bar of soap in it. When the husband is finished, I'll just hit the power button on.
The house is dirty again, like last night, my husband did some woodwork so there is dust in the kitchen area. We will clean this next week as we have visitors coming in.
I should be writing for the next articles but I decided to write some personal update and publish it in between those travel memoir blogs.
Although I am feeling better, I am still sneezing. My husband thinks that we are having a spring allergy. You know, these pollen grains floating anywhere caused us to sneeze and have watery eyes.
At 5 AM, my daughter disturbed me by asking for milk every night so we got out of bed and I gave her baby food. And we were able to get back to sleep after.
The sun is out, the sky is blue but it is cold outside. So I don't want to get out. The two kids are still awake and I am just waiting for their afternoon nap.
As much as I want to get out of the house but it is difficult to go out with two kids. So many preparations to do unless we go out as a family.
My son converts our bed into a trampoline so he put all the pillows on the floor and emptied the bed. After that, he asked me to play a cartoon on YouTube. Elise is on my lap while I am typing an article here on my wireless keyboard. She also wants to tap tap the keyboard.
My plan is to arrange the bedroom because it seems like a typhoon or a hurricane just passed by here. I have to prepare the kids for their afternoon nap.
I want to drink coffee milk or milk tea and just eat my chocolate. I have so chocolates in here. I keep on asking my husband to buy me more chocolates.
For our late breakfast, my husband bought some croissants and pain au chocolat. I was busy giving baby food to Elise while Alexandre was watching his cartoon on YouTube. He arrived with these goodies and prepared the fresh orange juice for us.
My sister-in-law just called a few minutes ago to say hi to the kids. She was with her grandchildren, Tomy and Layla, about 4 to 7 years old. They are in Belgium and I haven't met the kids in person. Someday, we are going to visit Belgium.
It was just a quick call as she wants to talk to her brother, my husband. I said, he is busy at the moment fixing the water pump in the barn. She will call again tomorrow.
That's it! It's a babbling day Saturday. I'll just enjoy my Saturday lazy afternoon. And maybe, who knows? I can think of another article to write. :D
I just collected my 5th batch of $10 worth of BCH. but the conversion is too low in PHP. I have 0.6 BCH, the goal is to reach my 1st 1 BCH. Yay!

How do I make it?
I've been writing 2-3 articles a day since the first day of April just because I earned $50 for the month of March. Without writing any goals for the month of April, I decided to challenge myself. I made 29 articles for the month of March so I am interested in how many articles I can write for April.
While writing articles, I managed to add more subscribers from 86, now 106 subscribers. If my math is right, I added 20 subscribers in one week.
I am also productive at home
One more thing that I am proud of is that I am able to do several home chores before I settled on my chair and write on my laptop. My husband is busy at work so I am left with the two kids.
After having lunch, I make sure to clean the table and unloaded the dishes from the dishes machine. It's time to load used plates and kitchen utensils into the dishes machine.
I've mentioned in my previous article that I was doing non-stop laundry a few days ago. Now, I am happy that yesterday, we just started one laundry a day.
I've been folding clothes every now and then as the husband hates to see a mountain of unfolded clothes. Every other day I have to fold all the clothes and put them inside the storage.
I am still sick
A few days ago, I've also written an article that I started getting sick last Monday. Until now, I am still sick. I didn't take any vitamins or medication. Last night, my husband gave me paracetamol. I am actually in pain because Elise is now teething. Good luck nipples! Good luck breastfeeding mama!
How do I save 100K Pesos to travel in 5 countries?

Saving 100K Philippine Pesos is not easy but it took me 5-6 years to achieve it. I had no plans to travel back then because I was in a relationship. The original plan was to save money for Honda Scoopy and it costs 70K PHP. I want to travel around Cebu on a motorbike. It never happened. So the money for a motorbike was transferred for travel.
How to save 100K Pesos?
Well, there are many ways to save 100K Pesos. But this could be a way to save money for your future needs.
Living a simple lifestyle
When you live a simple lifestyle, it's less expensive. You only live below your means. You don't buy expensive bags and you don't go to a fast-food restaurant to eat. You don't buy too many clothes and too many shoes. Don't be too materialistic.
Apply for a savings account
When you don't have one, please apply for a savings account. Before, I had bank accounts with the following: Bank of the Philippine Islands or BPI, UnionBank of the Philippines, MetroBank, Banco de Oro or BDO.
I had MetroBank when I was working with Jollibee and BPI when I was working with ACS. I have UnionBank when I started working online.
Prepare your requirements such as valid IDs (posted ID, national ID, TIN, passport), 1x1 or 2x2 photo, and money for the initial deposit. Ask your desired bank for more information.
Open a time deposit account
I had savings account on BDO and decided to open a time deposit with them because it was the nearest bank I had from my hometown. I started with 10K Pesos as it was my extra money then put another 10K Pesos. The purpose is not to touch the money for some time. It got an interest every month. It wasn't that big. Ask the bank for more information.
Create a travel fund
Bank accounts nowadays have the capability to let you set aside money through your online bank account. Aside from your main savings account, it can let you transfer money every month. So, I keep it as a travel fund.
You can also open another bank account for the purpose of a travel fund account only. I save at least 20K Pesos.
Invest in the stock market
I have some extra money and invest in the stock market. I bought stocks from JFC or Jollibee Foods Corporation, ALI or Ayala Land Inc, BDO or Banco de Oro. I bought stocks that are blue chips companies.

Part-time job as a Wedding Photographer

Japan solo trip
Before you fly to Japan, you need a Japan visa when you have a Philippine passport. I processed my visa in Cebu and paid 800 to 1000 PHP.
I received a single entry to Japan with a maximum stay of 15 days. My main goal was to stay in Tokyo. I have a cousin in Osaka so she invited me to stay for 5 days. With her family, we went around Osaka, Kyoto, and Mie prefecture.
I also visited Yokohama when a Japanese guy invited me for a date. I met him at a nightclub in Roppongi.
So many things happened in Japan and it was an awesome trip.
Unexpected Hong Kong solo trip
Hong Kong trip was out of the plan. It was my second time around. It's just that I missed my flight from Tokyo to Cebu. My original stay in Japan was only 14 days. I slept one night at the airport in Japan. I have to get out of Japan as I am only allowed 15 days on my visa.
Tokyo to Cebu was very expensive at 18,000 PHP. I don't have that much money. So I booked a flight from Tokyo to Hong Kong for 6,000 PHP. I stayed in Hong Kong for 4 days and booked a flight from Hong Kong to Cebu for another 6,000 PHP.
The OFWs helped me in Hong Kong and we had the chance to hike and go to the beach. It was a very long story and so many things happened in just 4 days.
Malaysia with friends
I announced another travel then some of my friends decided to tag along. This time, I had a ticket to stay for a month as Filipinos are allowed to stay in Malaysia for 30 days. This was the second time around. The Japanese guy was my seatmate on the plane and we became travel buddies.
We visited many places. I was also in a conversation with a hostel owner to have free accommodation in exchange for doing volunteer work as one of the receptionists.
Thailand one week getaway
When you're single, it's really fine to go on a date. I was in Malaysia when the guy I'd been chatting with on a dating app bought me a ticket to Bangkok and went to Pattaya. Although we had a good time in Bangkok, the relationship never lasted as we had some differences. We actually had a second meet-up in the Philippines. Sad to say, it never worked out.

Malaysia again
This time I went to Penang for 4 days as I was curious to go to the north of Malaysia. I got free accommodation as I found a person to host me in Penang. He stayed in this condominium with a swimming pool. He hosted two people, the other girl is from Denmark.
I felt like I was in a 5-star hotel.
Singapore solo trip
After my 4 days in Malaysia, I flew to Singapore and stayed for 8 days. Singapore is a small country and it's easy to get around by train. I met a Singaporean guy who toured me around. Japan solo trip again during the autumn season
It was wonderful to go back to Japan during the autumn season. It is my favorite season in Japan. Well, the autumn season is very colorful. I stayed in Tokyo for 9 days. I met some Filipino-Japanese girls who are living in Japan and they decided to meet me in Tokyo. I'd met some people around. I miss eating ramen and sushi though.

Yeah, I know. I have so many photos in here that I can show you. So, this is just a summary of which countries I visited in 2015.
I am sick and I am in a panic
Before I move on to the next articles I have already in mind, let me give you some personal updates. Yes, I am sick since Monday and I am in a panic. It's not very easy what I am feeling right now.

Last Sunday, I fell asleep at about midnight then I awake about 4 AM. My husband woke me up. He came into my bed and started hugging and kissing me. He said he got sad, he could not sleep as he was worried about the future. We just had a little conversation then he went back to his room. He is sleeping in the same room with our son and I am sleeping in the same room with my daughter.
In the morning, I woke up with teary eyes and a runny nose. And I was like, "Did you just give me a virus?"
I am having the flu, he has the flu. We just say we have the 'C' but we still have our appetite. We sneeze a lot but it's me who has the worst flu.
I am in a panic
Well, if you stay with two kids alone, I am always in a panic. How much more that I have this flu? I hate the fact that the teary eyes and the runny nose make it more annoying. It distracts me from what I do every day.
From loading the dishes machine to loading the washing machine. My son is jumping on the bed and putting all the pillows on the floor. I have no choice but to put my daughter on the floor surrounded by many pillows and let her play independently.
My son is giving me a heart attack when he jumps on the bed. Many times he falls on the floor from the bed.
So I keep on screaming.
Having a call with the sister-in-law
After we had our lunch, my sister-in-law called us. I sent her a message a few days ago that Alexandre wants to talk to her tata Brigitte. So the kids and I were in the bed. Alexandre is jumping on the bed again. I told her what's my usual day when it was just me and the kids.
She knows that I am sick at the moment and I am always sneezing. And it's so difficult talking to her while I keep on wiping my eyes and nose. I am also holding Elise while I am screaming at Alexandre.
I let Alexandre talk to her aunt. He can speak some French words and a few English words. Sometimes, he got shy to speak. But most of the time he keeps on babbling tata as he likes to show off by jumping on the bed. He is always like that when he is on a video call with the grandparents.
Afternoon nap
Elise is crying as she loves to have her mama's boobs and go to sleep. Alexandre falls on the floor from the bed and cries. I am in a panic as I just go to the bathroom washing my face with warm water because of my teary eyes and runny nose. I put some menthol ointment in my nose that made me a little bit on fire.
I prepared the milk for Alexandre and put him to bed. He is just tired. And I gave booby milk to Elise and she falls asleep.
What a crazy day!

Writing many articles helps to exercise my brain
I just wrote an article that I was able to publish in 3 articles in one day. On April 4, I just collected my second batch of $10 and on April 5, I just collected another $10. After earning $50 with 29 articles for March, I got hyped to write articles in just the first few days of the week of April.

After writing three articles, my brain got so exhausted that at 12 midnight I was ready to go to sleep. Usually, I really had a hard time going to sleep after 12 midnight.
I've been telling my husband that if I cannot do exercise physically, at least, I need my brain to exercise. Writing helps me to imagine many things. Or help me reminisce some good memories of my past.
Motivation

I am inspired to write about my previous travels, current travels, motherhood struggles, and family life.
I overthink a lot

Do you need to improve your writing?
If you have a problem with grammar, try to install Grammarly. It helps you to correct simple grammar mistakes. My grammar is not perfect. I have several mistakes when I write. I don't even proofread. But when I installed Grammarly, my writing improved a little better.
Read a lot
This is the thing I need to improve because I don't read books anymore. My husband gives me e-books to read. I am requesting to please search the books The Prince by Niccolo Machiavelli and To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee.

Filipino Celebrity - Robi Domingo hugging and kissing me
Who knows Robi Domingo? He is a Filipino celebrity who was a part of the Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Season 2. I really rooted for him and I had a big crush on him.
In January 2015, Daren sent a message on Facebook for an invitation if I was available for one week. I said yes. I had so much freedom. The moment she sent a message, I was on Camotes island for a trip. And she wanted me to go with her in the next week. I was curious what it was all about.
Read my first trip to Manila

She told me that she won a singing contest in Manila, The Voice Combo Sing-off of ABS-CBN Manila. So I was excited to step on my foot at ABS-CBN studio.
Daren told me that we need another company of at least 3 people. She has friends who were under 18 years old so she cannot bring her underage friends. I was very happy she thought about me because she knew how I was always game for a surprise trip.
I suggested we should bring Mark, who she had met already at some events we had all three of us. And we need another one, so I thought of Jacqui. They don't know each other but she was the only person I can think of who was also available. And she is also a common friend of Mark.
All four of us got along. We had a flight to Manila in the middle of the night. It was Sinulog 2015 so there was heavy traffic. We took a habal-habal drive or a motorcycle ride. We had two motorbikes with two passengers each. It was a race going to the airport because we were kind of late. For local departures, you should be an hour and a half at the airport.
VIPs in Manila
Part of the winnings of Daren was that we were treated like Very Important Persons. She represented the winner of the Visayas area. We met other winners of the Greater Manila Area, Luzon, and the Mindanao area.
We stayed at La Breza hotel just near ABS-CBN studio and the rival station GMA or the Kapuso station was just in front of our hotel.
We had a good breakfast in our hotel. Every lunch and every dinner, the Voice Combo staff brought us to different restaurants. All we did was just sleep, eat, and repeat.
I also realized how hectic it is to be a celebrity. There was also a schedule that we need to follow. We also need to get ready to be interviewed by Robi Domingo and to meet Coach Bamboo, as Daren's mentor.
Interview with Robi Domingo
The interview should be in this order: Greater Manila Area, Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. We were in the make-up area so the winner of GMA and company were still having their make-up session. Robi Domingo has arrived. They need to start the interview right away.
Then the Visayas team was called to be interviewed first. We were shocked because we don't have any make-up. Daren had her make-up done already which is important as she was the star. So, her three companions don't have any make-up. The staff told us to put on face powder and a little lipstick.
I brought my Nikon D5100 DSLR camera so we actually have good photos during the interview.

My Super Kilig Encounter with Robi Domingo
When we were called for the interview, I was very nervous to see Robi Domingo. That feeling that I was so KILIG to see him. My heart was pounding very fast that I really wanted to scream like a fan. I told myself to calm down and don't act like a creepy fan. I decided to smile to calm myself down.
During the off-cam, Robi Domingo noticed **my beautiful smile. He actually complimented me that I have a nice smile.** Omg, I wanted to scream and hug him but I stay calm.
He noticed my ring on my finger and asked me if I was engaged or married. I said I was totally single. The ring was given by my mother. We were actually talking casually. The staff inside the studio noticed our off-cam conversation. And they were like I was the winner of the singing contest because of **my winning smile!** Hahaha!
They even encouraged me to audition for the next season so that I could have the chance to meet him again. Hahaha!
Daren was like, "I hate you, ate! Because Robi is hugging you."
At first, I stayed a little distance because I don't want to take Daren's spotlight. But the staff told me that I need to stay between Robi and Daren, meaning to stay near Robi Domingo.
Robi Domingo was so fond of talking to me that he actually grabbed me and hugged me.

OMG, yes! When your celebrity crush finally noticed you are one of the most wonderful feelings in the world. I never thought that I have the closest encounter with Robi Domingo. Like every girl like me is having a crush on him. I was so lucky.
My husband saw that photo when he was new on my FB and he thought he was my Filipino boyfriend. Hahahah! He was jealous because Robi Domingo is a handsome boy.
I was 24 on my first flight to Manila
Let's have a throwback travel article. I felt so old reminiscing my first flight to Manila. I was 24. It was a birthday gift to myself. I wasn't a traveler back then. I just started working online in 2010 and saved money.
Then, a high school classmate sent a message on Facebook. She invited me to go to Manila. She has an older sister who used to work in Manila. My friend knew how much free time that I had so she can invite me any time of the day.

Choosing Manila as my first destination
When you're a probinsyana or a girl from the province, you are curious about what Manila looks like. I just took advantage of the invitation from a friend and was happy to have a companion.
We stayed in Pasig as her sister lived there. Fortunately, I have an aunt who actually lives there. Perfect timing that it was near to visit my aunt. I just took a tricycle from my friend's village to my aunt's village. My aunt welcomed me as she was happy to see me.
Just a little glow up
My friends and I went to Divisoria to buy something for Christmas. I bought something for myself to look myself pretty. Compared to the first photo and this one, I felt prettier. Haha!
We also went to Trinoma to see her other friends who took Ph.D. at UP Diliman. We went to UP Diliman after just by taking a taxi.

The ever famous naked man statue in the university. I remember my mother had the same photos here when she went to Manila and stayed in Pasig as well, with her cousin, my aunt.
It was a cool afternoon. UP Diliman was big. You actually need to take a jeep to get around inside the university belt.

The Burger Project
We were hungry so we went to The Burger Project. You can actually create your own burger here, what do you want inside the buns. How many burger patties do you want, the sauce, the cheese, etc.
The Enchanted Kingdom in Laguna
From Manila, we took a van ride to Laguna just to visit the first theme park in the Philippines. It was like a must-visit when you are a tourist and a first-timer. It was actually fun. It was a good day. There were so many students on a weekend. We never had a theme park in Cebu so it was fun for a probinsyana to enjoy a theme park.
Mayon Volcano from afar
Going back home, I saw Mayon Volcano from afar. It was a good sight to see. I was using a camera phone here so the quality was bad. It was good to see the perfect cone volcano in the Philippines.
My Thoughts about Manila?
I hate the heavy traffic. It was very expensive when we took the taxi from Manila airport to Pasig. It also took us 2-3 hours. I was a bit shocked. Metro Manila is very big with so many cities. Unlike Cebu, from Mactan to Cebu City, it will take 30 minutes or less when there is no traffic.
So, I've been to Manila many times after that. Brought some other friends as well as it was also their first time. My friends kept on telling me that I should invite them when I had my next travels.

Our simple wedding ceremony here in France
One day, my husband, me, and our firstborn went to the city hall to submit our documents for our wedding. I was 37 weeks pregnant with my second child. My tummy was heavy while going to the city hall. After the submission of the documents, we went to the hair salon to cut my hair as I wanted my hair short. The next day, I was in the hospital and a baby girl was born. It seems like she was very excited about the wedding of her parents.
My husband and I got married after a month and a few weeks Elise was born.

So how did we prepare for our simple wedding?
I need to process some documents from Cebu so I asked for help from my sister. My PSA birth certificate and CENOMAR were sent to our home address in Cebu. I forgot how much I paid. My sister went to DFA Cebu to have my documents Apostilled and paid a fee. The documents needed to be sent to France and paid by a courier. I received my documents in just 3 days. It was less than 5k PHP.
When I received the documents, they needed to be translated to French so my husband paid a fee. I think about 100 euros.
My white dress costs $50
I found this white maternity dress in an online shop. I bought it because of the easy access to the boobs when the baby needs milk. It was a comfy dress.
I did my make up
I am not good with make-up so I don't have real makeup kits and accessories. All I have are lipsticks, face powder, and bb cream concealer. In the photos, it was obvious that I never took care of my facial skin that the blemishes were visible.

We don't have wedding rings and a bouquet of flowers
Yes, you read it right. We don't have wedding rings and flowers. We never spent money on that.
But we were holding our kids in our arms. Fred was carrying Alexandre and I was carrying Elise.
Only a few witnesses
Our only witnesses are the parents of my husband, the sister of my husband, and the brother-in-law. Just four witnesses. I don't have any family around from the Philippines. Since it was a pandemic time, there were no people in the city hall. Just the mayor. The wedding ceremony only took 20 minutes.
We don't have official wedding photos
I am actually a wedding photographer and I felt sad that we don't have official wedding photos. The husband of my sister-in-law took photos of us but I can't demand him to take several photos of us. We were in a hurry and we have kids. I really know how to direct the wedding poses of couples. I have so many ideas about where to take cool photos in the area where we had our wedding ceremony. Like we should have cool street photos or in the cafe. Any dramatic photos.
We celebrated by drinking wines, eating good food, and singing karaoke
We actually had good food. Fred ordered plates of seafood worth 100 euros. We had steak and french fries. We always have a good meal at home and share it with close family. I sing in karaoke. It was fun. My sister-in-law also sang some French songs.

Who are the owners?
The owners are a couple, Maldivian and Filipina.
Cristina sent me a friend request on Facebook as I was very active in sharing my travel experiences on FB groups. I was living in Palawan at that time. She invited me to go to the Maldives. Working in the Maldives would have been tempting because I can have several chances to go scuba diving maybe every weekend. Who knows?
But I wasn't able to go there because I met my husband in Phuket, Thailand, and stayed longer there. So our plan is to go to the Maldives in the future.
A budget-friendly trip to Himandhoo island in the Maldives
A trip to the Maldives used to be a luxury and it is the usual honeymoon destination. Now, the Maldives is offering budget-friendly travel to everyone.
The aim is to live like a local. I've been living like a local when I travel. When Cristina told me about Himandhoo island, she said I can be actually a good fit.

I made some title drafts so that I can remember what article I need to write and publish.
When I don't eat and only have coffee in my stomach, I palpitate. So I have to move fast to release my tension. I am actually a very slow person.
While waiting for my coffee, I managed to take the clean plates and kitchen utensils out of the dishes machine. I also gave food to Alexandre so that he can actually eat independently. I spoon-fed Elise with her puree vegetable and apple.
While filling my stomach with coffee, I also managed to prepare instant noodles. Suddenly, Elise cried as she wants me to hold her. I gave her milk. The water boiled for my noodles. I went to the stove while Elise was breastfeeding on me. I have to go back to the table. Elise was still with me. Then Alexandre asked me to give him bread with prune jam. I am multi-tasking. Gosh, what's going on with me?
This is my typical scene when the husband is early for work. Preparing instant noodles is just a treat for me.
While taking care of the kids, my brain is restless and I have so many things inside my mind. I felt like I am talking to myself alone. So I need to write my thoughts as soon as possible.
On the other hand, my FB notification was very busy because I shared a video that sparked opinions and comments on my timeline. Hahahaha!
And I am also thinking of some strategies and ideas on how to promote this guesthouse in the Maldives. So I need to do some copywriting for their business.
I am dreaming to be in the Maldives someday. It is one of my dream destinations. But I promised to go there with a partner. Honeymoon it is! My husband and I are longing to be in the tropics like the way we used to do in Phuket, Thailand.
We go swimming and snorkel every day. We always have the chance to see a lot of fish underwater. We take several videos and photos. We got the chance to see cuttlefish. We swim far from the shore. We have our snorkels, masks, and fins.
We need to save money if we really want to go to the Maldives. There are so many things to see underwater like the manta rays, whale sharks, sea turtles, and dolphins.
But we have to wait until the kids are growing up. It is a must that they must learn to swim.

Since I started this Read Cash blog, I only have one username. I was tempted to create another one to write for another theme or niche but I am just too tired to write 2 accounts. So, I'll just stick to this one.
I know there are several platforms that you can blog as mentioned by other bloggers here. I am afraid I can't update.
I am very happy with my stay on Read Cash. It's my 7-month here. I am thankful that I can express my rants and thoughts about motherhood. I am fortunate to interact with other moms here who have the same experience.
I broke up with my boyfriend of 6 years

My first crush
I was very young to have my first crush. I was actually 5 years old. Hahaha! We were in the same daycare center. I had no idea what was crush back then because I could not speak English. In Cebuano, it was called "ibog."
He was a good-looking boy. I remember that I got excited that I seat on his lap for quick seconds. Hahaha! I was very cheeky. My daycare teacher saw it.
My first admirer
We were in grade 1 when this boy and I started a good friendship. We were seatmates. We loved to draw. We could actually get along with each other. When I finished an assignment in school, I went to get a coconut husk to scrub the floor and he followed. He loved to do what I wanted to do.
Suddenly, his friend, our boy classmate, told me that our friend had a crush on me. The term again was "ibog."
"Naibog sya nimo." He said.
When I heard about it, I got awkward and I stopped being friends with him.
In grade 2, there was a taller boy looking for me. I had no idea who he was. A girl classmate approached me that this guy was looking for me. He asked me where is his little brother. I just said I don't know. Oh my, he told his brother about me.
In grade 3, I was checking the attendance of the students in our class. He was in his seat and he did a funny face to tease me. I got offended. I pinched his ear.
In grade 4, we were seatmates again. But it was still awkward. We became enemies.
It got awkward when classmates teased us. Sadly, he was not my type. His admiration was until grade 6, I think.
We were still in the same high school. 6 years of having a crush on me.
I had several crushes
My crushes were from grade 2 to high school, the friends of my first admirer. I had crushes on his friends but not on him.
My first boyfriend
I got my first boyfriend when I was 18 years old. I was my legal age, I am so proud. We were both college students but we don't belong in the same school. We met through a group clan text when unlimited texting to different networks was a trend. So, you can actually send a group text to your clanmates. Then they had this EB or eyeball event. We met there. He was good-looking and was the same age as me.
We've been together for 6 years. He was my first and I thought my last. My ideal relationship was to have my first and long-lasting one.
My first breakup
My first breakup was with my first boyfriend. And it was me who finally initiated the breakup. It was getting toxic. We had on and off relationships. I cried because he threw something on my face and I said, that was enough.
After my first breakup, I never got involved in a new relationship with a Filipino guy. I felt so ugly so I have accepted the fact that I would be single forever. So, I wrote this article below:

What another busy day again? My husband woke up early today and he told me that our son woke up the same. He was in the room watching cartoons on TV. He told me to be awake at 11:30 AM.
At 11:50 AM, I heard my son calling me mama so I got up and took him down to the kitchen and gave him food. The baby girl was awake so I have to prepare food for her as well.
I prepared some Yakisoba noodles for myself and my son asked for noodles. I also gave bananas to both of them while I was singing for them.
I changed the clothes and diapers of my kids and it was time for their afternoon nap. I also cleaned the kitchen area, vacuum cleaning and mopping while drinking coffee. I felt so good. I took a shower after and do my skincare routine. I just realized that my hyaluronic acid is almost finished so I need to do online shopping.
My husband arrived with a baguette and went back to work. Elise was awake so I gave her milk and let her play in the bed.

First day of April is cleaning day
After the never ending of washing and folding clothes, finally, I can clean the house.

Me and my husband are so busy for the first day of April. He was able to cut the grass outside in preparation for spring. The snow stopped already.
I did the bed room first where the bathroom and toilet room are near. I just finished putting all the dirty plates in the dishes machine.
Alexandre was on his afternoon nap. Elise was asleep for few minutes but she woke up after. She was awake the whole time I was cleaning.
I took up all the toys from the floor and put it inside the toy box. I cleared everything on the floor so that it was easy for me to do the vacuum cleaning.
Elise was just busy in the bed and she cries when she is hungry. So, I have to pause on my cleaning and give milk to Elise. I need to play with her for a little while.
I starts to do the vacuum cleaning. I was in a hurry because I really want to be fast. I did under the office table and next is the bathroom then toilet room.
Suddenly, my back hurts. Gosh, I feel so old right now.
I continued to do the vacuum cleaning in the whole bedroom plus toilet and bath.
It's time to mop the floor. While mopping, Elise was crying again. I need to be quick so that I can attend to her as soon as possible. Thankfully, I finished mopping the floor.
I gave milk to Elise. Alexandre woke up and I was surprised why his voice was getting nearer. He got down to the stairs all by himself. I was shocked and scared because he might fall. Good thing, he was safe.
I let him watch some video on YouTube while Elise wanted my attention again.
While giving milk to Elise, the floor started to dry. I paused for 30 minutes. The husband arrived and gave water to Alexandre. I felt bad for not giving attention to him.
When the floor dried, I put on the play mat so that Alexandre can play anytime on the floor with his toys. I continued to fold some clothes.
I was very hungry. The husband cooked pork curry. Miam miam!
After dinner, we called the grandparents and talked for a bit. Then, I changed the kids' clothes for sleeping.
I ended the night just by cleaning my toes. I am tired. It is time to sleep.

There's a snowfall during spring time
During the last day of March, we were expecting to have a little sunny day. In the news, there will be snow falls in some parts of France except in our area. My husband told me to go out because we need to prepare our garden.
My kids went for a nap and Elise was with me for breastfeeding. While I was on my way closing my eyes, the husband told me there was a snow fall. Later on, it stopped.
Elise woke up while I was snoozing. I could feel she kicked my back many times. So I had to check on her. I had no choice but to wake up and play with her. Later on, she went to sleep again.
About 6 PM, Alexandre was awake so I had to take him down from the room upstairs. He was looking for his papa. He asked me to let him watch some cartoons on YouTube and requested for apple.
I also gave food to Elise. I took the coffee machine and prepared my coffee. Suddenly, the handle of the coffee machine broke. Uh oh, I need a new coffee machine.
I am happy to enjoy my coffee once in a while. I also put the dirty dishes in the dishes machine. And there goes the snow fall again. My husband and I opened the door so that Alexandre can witness the snow fall. He was saying, "Wow!"

Alexandre really enjoyed the snow fall and it also reminds him of our vacation at the French alps last week. I am not sure if he remembers his first snow experience.

So many clothes to wash and fold
Since we arrived from our one week vacation at the French alps, we washed some of our clothes right away. We don't have a washing machine at our rental place so we brought several soiled clothes with us. The worst thing happened was, Alexandre threw up again in the car so his clothes and our towels smelled vomit.
It was a disaster because we thought he would never throw up again. Okay, no more milk in the car and we just let him drink water throughout the trip.
We have been washing non stop from our clothes, to towels, to bed sheets. My husband needs to wash the car and the car seats.
I should get back to work but the clothes are in my office table so I need to fold the clothes. My husband is telling me that we need to go to Paris by June and another vacation to Spain by September. And I go crazy again.
So far, I took a nap every afternoon when the baby girl asks for breastfeed. And the toddler boy also goes for a nap.
I have some pending tasks and I need to create another proposal to market a website in Maldives.
I'm getting addicted with coffee so I make sure to drink coffee everyday. I don't want to overdose myself to avoid palpitation.
Of course, I need to clean the house again. Before we left for vacation, I made sure to clean the house so that when we come back, it is comfortable. But it's dirty again now that we are back. It's a big bazaar because Alexandre take all the toys out of the toy box.
I am happy to see people here on Read Cash blogging about their March earnings. I am also happy to earn $50 with one week vacation at the French alps. I am hoping I could write consistently for April.

Why it is so difficult to find a job in the Philippines?
Now that the Philippine election is getting nearer, my only concern is how to find a good paying job in the Philippines? I have to be honest that it is difficult to find a good paying job if you are not a college degree holder.
Reality sucks in the Philippines. I have to be honest about it. Lucky are those children with parents who strive hard to send them to college. But what about those people who cannot afford?
I have to be honest that my parents were poor. My parents were just high school graduates. My father was a typist in front of a university in Cebu. Most of his customers were students, teachers, and lawyers. My mom used to work in an educational supply store in the same area where my father was working. That's how they met.
My father's older siblings were fortunate that they were able to go to college. There was a policeman, an accountant, and an employee from department of agriculture. His only sister got married to a fisherman with several business hustles. If a woman got married to a good man, she is indeed lucky. There is no need to find a job but to take care of the kids. And let the husband be the provider.
My mother's older siblings were not fortunate to get college degrees. Two of her brothers were working in the municipal hall and the other one was able to work abroad in Saudi Arabia. Two sisters were working in the same educational supply store with my mother. One sister got married to a security guard while the other sister, took a lot of time to get married, but she got married to a Norwegian guy. So, my aunt in Norway is the fortunate person here.
My parents were both the youngest in the family. My father got support from his accountant and employee from department of agriculture brothers. The DOAgri brother was single so he accumulated salary from his job and saved millions. My father got financial support from this brother.
My mother got her financial support from the sister who is married to a Norwegian guy. She has a good job in Norway.
In short, I got my financial and educational support from these uncle and aunt. I was fortunate enough to step on college for at least two years. As a girl with no college education, I am sure it would be hard for me to find a job.
To be a cashier in a shopping mall, you need to be at least 2 years in college with a preferred height at least 5'2" ft with a pleasing personality. Since I am an ugly person with 4'11" ft height, I can't pass to their standards. Also, there is an age limit to be a cashier.
See? That is the problem in the Philippines. All people with different ages, beauty, and height cannot get a simple job because of high standards but with a low paying job.
When I was traveling in Hong Kong, old people are working at McDonald's and KFC. In the Philippines, you can't see old people working at Jollibee, McDo, KFC and other quick service restaurants. Same also at the shopping malls like SM and Metro Gaisano.
Here in France, everyone is working as long as you are capable to do the job. The government also helps their citizen to find a job. Everyone who got a job is a taxpayer so everyone is contributing their share.
And Filipinos become Overseas Filipino Workers or OFWs because the pay is better in another country compared in the Philippines. Women work as domestic helpers and men work as skilled workers. And our new heroes, the nurses.
As a nurse in the Philippines, you don't get paid enough and you become a volunteer nurse. What the heck? Do any Filipinos can relate to this article with the same sentiment? Do let me know in the comments.
Dreaming of my deceased parents together - a premonition of my family life
My parents are both dead. My father died in June 2015. I've been dreaming of him many times. Most of it were emotions of disappointments and anger. I woke up crying. My mother died in February 2019. She died in my arms. Since she died, I've been dreaming of her like every day. I miss her so badly. I was in denial of her death. I woke up every day crying.
Most of my dreams with my father and mother were more in the past. Our old house, my elementary school, the old house of my grandparents, and the likes. It felt like I was stuck in the past. I was a child in my dreams. My parents were young.
After my mother's death, it was very fresh that I was still in denial. I thought my husband would have the chance to meet her in April 2019. The plan was to meet my mother in Cebu. When my mother died in February 2019, I told him not to come here in the Philippines. I was very devastated of the death of my mother. But Fred pursued me to meet me again. So, he booked us a flight to Bali, Indonesia.
I had so many emotional baggages when I met Fred the second time around. I thought our time in Phuket, Thailand was like a summer time affair. He promised to see me after 3 months and he did.
About first week of May 2019, I was surprised that I was dreaming of my parents, together. It was my first time they were together in my dream. This is how the first dream looks like...
First dream with my parents
My parents and I went to the snowy mountain to ski. It was a short and quick dream. It was a vivid dream like it was real. I woke up in our bed and told Fred about it. It was a happy dream with my parents.
Second dream with my parents
The second dream happened in June 2019. Fred and I were in Palawan. In my dream, my parents went on a trip. We were inside the bus. I think we were going to the beach. The dream cut off. It was a happy dream again with my parents. And told Fred about this second dream.
Third dream with my parents
This dream happened in July 2, 2019. Fred and I were in El Nido, Palawan. In my dream, I was with my parents and my sister. We were at the dining area telling them, "Ma, Pa, I have some good news for you. I am pregnant."
The dream was cut off short again and I woke up. That was the weirdest dream that I had so I told Fred about it.
Since Bali and Singapore, Fred and I we've been fighting even after we arrived in Puerto Princesa. I thought he would break up with me because I was at my worst attitude. He could actually break up with me anytime. I lost my cool and so I thought I was just experiencing depression. Fred stayed with me and see me at my worst.
I asked Fred what was the meaning of my dream. May be I was actually pregnant!? I panicked and Fred was excited with the idea that I could be pregnant.
I called my friend in Puerto Princesa and told her what I've been going through physically and emotionally. She told me to buy a pregnancy test right away.
Fred and I had our breakfast, went to the beach the whole day and went to the pharmacy to buy a pregnancy test.
CONFIRMED PREGNANCY!
We went back to our room and go straight to the bathroom. For quick seconds, two red lines. POSITIVE. I WAS PREGNANT. I WAS SHOCKED.
Fred kissed me on the lips and named the unborn baby as Alexandre. He was very sure that it would be a baby boy. He celebrated in El Nido and got himself drunk with the locals.
Fourth dream with my parents
I was dreaming of my parents in August 2019. Fred was back to France and I was in Cebu. In my dream, I was with my parents in our old house, at the living room.
I was holding a baby in my arms, thought it was a girl. My parents were sitting beside me while we were watching TV in the living room. My dream was cut off short again. I called Fred and told him my dream.
Conclusion
I just realized that all my dreams with my deceased parents were a premonition of my family life. My dreams with them were futuristic and not living in the past. At first, I had no idea why I was dreaming of them consistently 4x every first week of the month, from May 2019 to August 2019.
My parents never talked in my dreams. There was no message but the dreams were the message itself.
My parents are still looking after me even though they are all gone. It's a message that THEY LOVE ME and I deserve my happiness with my own family.
With those four dreams, I was looking forward that my parents would appear in my dream together. I keep on hoping but it only stopped on the fourth.
Dreaming of my mother with my second pregnancy
It was November 2020, just few days after my birthday, when I was dreaming of my mother. We went to a carnival and in the dream, I was 5 months pregnant. I saw a baby in my tummy. I was wearing a blue dress. The dream was cut off short again. I told Fred about my dream but disregarded the pregnancy idea.
After few days, I was sick. I thought I had covid. I lost my sense of taste. But I asked Fred for a pregnancy test. He gave it to me. I went to the toilet and there I saw 2 red lines. I was shocked again. Fred was happy.
A happy family!
I am feeling satisfied right now
I woke up today feeling tired and my husband needs to fix the car so it was a busy day for him that he never had a chance to prepare our lunch. But I was able to give food to Elise and Alexandre. I also ate bread with butter and prune jam.
Alexandre had his tantrum as he wanted to watch cartoons on YouTube. It was hard to convince him not to watch so he cried on the floor. I turned on the TV and let him watch Alvin and the chipmunks in French. So, I tried to watch and acted scared on what I saw as the chipmunks got chased by pirates. He got interested to watch the TV and he asked for my bread with jam.
But it's not easy with a tantrum toddler that so many times, he kick my balls (this is an expression my husband use when someone is getting grumpy all the time). There were times I lost my patience.
Then, I changed his clothes and diaper because he was tired. He needs a nap the reason why he was having a tantrum. I gave him his milk and put him in the bedroom.
Elise was screaming as she wants my attention right away. I was in a hurry to finish my task with Alexandre and run to Elise. My husband just arrived and the baby girl wanted milk. We went to the bed and had our afternoon nap. My husband needs to go back to the car.
I woke up from an afternoon nap and went to the toilet for emergency. Haha! Suddenly, the baby girl woke up and cried looking for me. I went to the bathroom for a quick shower and took care of Elise after. I played with her and gave her a lot of kisses.
But I need to clean our room as we need to prepare for the holiday. I heard Alexandre cried from the other room so I had to bring him downstairs. I let him watch a cartoon on YouTube. Elise was in the bed surrounded by pillows while I need to prepare the room for cleaning.
I felt like I was quick to do a general cleaning in this room with Elise. I mean, we have a new vacuum cleaner and a new floor mop. To be honest, I was very lazy to clean but I realized, the secret of a lazy cleaner is to gift her new vacuum cleaner, new floor mop, and a new broom. Haha!

Philippine politics is a BIG CIRCUS
With showbiz and politics hullabaloo are mixing, expect it is going to be a riot of circus and a joke. People are arguing on social media, ruining friendships because of their political idolism.
We are getting older but people do not seem to get that at the end of the day, those politicians and celebrities will be NINONG and Ninang or godparents to future celebrities who will get married. They can be friends or just say hi hello to each other after the election and everything will be back to normal. The political circus is just a show. Behind the camera, they can be friends again.
But people who are used to be friends ruined their friendship because of ego.
Conclusion
I'm feeling satisfied to say that the political circus in the Philippines could reveal some of your friends real character or personality. The way people react to grave issues and nonsense issues reveal the real self and how long they want to destroy you or your friendship because of bruised ego.

A Marcos loyalist tried to offend me on FB because of Sharon Cuneta. Lol!
I was sharing a quote and captioned something political when a Marcos loyalist dropped in to the comment and talk about Sharon Cuneta. OK, let's not focus about him being a Marcos loyalist. I'll change his nickname later. Although in one of our exchange opinions, we were getting political and he admitted he is a Marcos loyalist.
So let's go back to Sharon Cuneta. She is a celebrity in the Philippines. I should rename this Marcos loyalist as Mr. Chismoso. Chismis stands for gossip and a chismoso/chismosa is a gossiper. I assumed this is still a GOSSIP or chismis since I had no idea what he was talking about.
Mr. Chismoso dropped in comments about Sharon Cuneta.
And I asked, "is there a problem with Sharon Cuneta related to corruption?"
He said no because the quote I posted is applicable to Sharon Cuneta.
"So, what's the real problem with Sharon Cuneta?" I asked again.
"Sharon has a problem with the song, the special children and the parents of the special children." He answered.
Coming this information or gossip or chismis from him, I was intrigued. So I need to ask more questions. When somebody tells me a CHISMIS, please complete the whole story.
Here are more of my questions:
Me: What is the problem of Sharon with the song?
Mr. Chismoso: She doesn't like other people singing her song.
Me: What is the problem of Sharon Cuneta with the special children.
Mr. Chismoso: sent a haha reaction without an answer.
Me: Did Sharon said something bad to the special children? Did she say something bad to the parents of the special children?
Mr. Chismoso: no answer again.
Me: I am asking questions for clarification. Is Sharon having a problem with special kids?
Mr. Chismoso: I don't know. Ask her.
So I called him out.
Me: When you are a CHISMOSO yourself, complete the whole story. I don't like being left hanging. I need to connect the dots.

The Real Issue is
He sent me a link with the real issue. It's about Sharon Cuneta disliked PANELO (a senatorial aspirant from a different political party) for singing a song she popularised. She said, she will only allow the song only to her husband's political campaign as a vice-president.
PANELO asked permission from Viva Records to sing the song during the campaign. He added he dedicated the song to his deceased son who had down syndrome.
Okay, I get it now. The real issue is just between Sharon and PANELO.
There was no way in that article telling me that Sharon retaliated anything to the special kids and to the parents. There was none. Nothing at all.
Just Sharon disliking PANELO singing her song during a political campaign.
WHAT A SHALLOW PROBLEM? LOL
I called out Mr. Chismoso on how shallow he is as a person for bringing up an issue and make it big. For sure, Viva Records corrected Sharon and she took down the Instagram rant about PANELO. And no retaliation to the kids and to the parents.
The bashers picked up the special children issue to add more drama or fuel to this very insignificant issue.
Whatever problem Sharon has to PANELO, it's more on political rivalry.
Personally speaking, I have no say with her song because it's her song. It's a problem between Sharon and PANELO. I am not involved.
Conclusion
Mr. Chismoso got annoyed that I asked too many questions. Of course, it is my right to know the truth before I jumped to conclusions.
For me, it wasn't a big deal. Just purely CHISMIS and a problem between two people because of political rivalry.

He privately tagged me on a Facebook post about Sharon and he was very happy about it. It's funny how he acts like a child when he is a grown up man. Oh, what a childish man! Hahaha!
He even denied it when in fact I screenshot everything.
Using the special children and the parents as an emotional manipulation because he wanted me to be angry at Sharon Cuneta. LOL.
It is not my problem. I AM NOT UPDATED with the Philippine showbiz industry. Hahaha!
A CHISMOSO who doesn't give straight facts, he just wanted to have a stupid argument with me thinking I was stupid enough to believe him.
I never got offended. I was just, surprised how shallow and low-level he could be just because of Sharon Cuneta. Hahaha!
Moral of the story
I always follow for the truth and nothing but the truth. Just give a balanced opinion without getting biased.
