Taking a break from writing
I never thought it would come to this moment again. When I stopped poetry blogging, I did not think much of it since I was in a relapse of a bad depressive episode.
Now the same thing could be said but it is also much more than that.
It is true that I am depressed but that alone does not contribute mainly to the reason why I am not active here. The truth of the matter is that blogging became the last thing on my priority list.
Isn't it sad? Adult life starts to make the thing that made life enjoyable as the least priority.
Despite that, I have to do it because I have responsibilities that can not be delayed. I wish I could postpone them but life waits for no one.
So here I am stuck with multiple responsibilities, basicalky like a mushroom popping in and out of the blogging world.
4th year student
As some of you may remember, I am already a 4th year college student which means my subjects are mostly major ones that I can not fail. Moreover, I also have to worry about our thesis.
On-the-Job Training
As part of our academic requirements, we have to render 300 hours of virtual OJT. Good thing is that the professors came up with a way to compress the 100 hours into 3 webinars series dedicated in helping us learn fundamentals that will help us when we graduate.
I still need to render 200 hours though. In all honesty, I can just choose the easy path which is taking the certification program. It is an alternative to rendering 200 hours in OJT.
But no, I do not want to make life that easy. So what I decided to do is to sign up for the certification program. THEN, I also looked for companies that offer virtual OJT.
I could not help but be greedy since the certification program is an international certificate for soft skills development so it is a good edge to have.
However, I did not want to miss out on the OJT experience so I am aslo looking for one. I am already accepted in a robotics and automation company but I am still waiting for our COE coordinator to approve my recommendation letter and to see if he will accept the job responsibilities that I will have as an intern in the company.
The university wanted us to take virtual OJT in line with out course and with the approval of the coordinator so I have to wait even though the company said we can start as soon as tomorrow.
Crochet business
One thing that is also taking up my time is my crochet business. I closed my shop in Shopee for a while by delisting my products but there are customers who are messaging me via Facebook.
I am too hesitant to let the opportunity go since if a stranger is messaging me on Facebook then that means that my audience reach is slowly increasing. So I decided to take the crochet orders I received. I might make a different article about these orders since there are a lot than I expected and I am so happy since the customers are happy with their purchase.
Depression
Last but definitely not the least is depression. Do I regret stopping my medication?
No. To be honest, despite the relapse of depression I feel better in a way.
I have started to lose the weight I gained which made my clothes fit me again without feeling like a suman (a rice cake wrapped tightly in banana leaves). Moreover, the sadness feel familiar.
Sure, it is a bit irritating to find myself crying at the littlest things but I also feel more like myself if that makes sense. I guess I am more used to being sad than being stable.
Although if I could find a anti-psychotic medication that will not make me gain weight like crazy and make me feel like I am dying every night, then I might consider being medicated again.
But for now, I am just stuck in this misery that I chose. Obviously, I can just take my medication again but I need my uniform to fit me well so nope, it is not gonna happen.
Closing words
I missed reading everyone's articles but there is this feeling in me that I am just a speck of dust here in this platform. My absence will not be noticed nor will it mean much since I am no one's closest writer here.
It used to bother me especially back when I really wanted to make new friends here but now, I don't really feel anything about it.
Maybe my absence made my heart grow colder instead of fonder.

Rainy day Samgyup
Hello, everyone!
It has been a few days since I last oublished an article. I wish I could share some awesome stories about why I was inactive but sadly, the only reason for it is depression.
I expected my depression to make a comeback after a brief hypomanic episode that started when I stopped taking my medication but still, I can not do anything about it. I wish depression is easy to ignore. I hope that it was just a matter of shrugging off the sadness and self-hate I am feeling but it is not that easy.
In truth, I know that I would have a better chance of regulating my bipolar episodes if I just continue taking the medication. But I am just not ready to accept the fact that I have to take medication for life.
Moving on
Let us not talk about some mood ruiner topics suc as depression. It is surely important to talk about but it is not what I wanted to talk about today.
It has been a while since my sisters and I last went out together. My younger sisters always had their hangout with their friends, my elder sister also meets up with her bestfriend. On the other hand, I also go on dates with my partner.
But me and my sisters do not really spend much time together. The reason is that we usually expect one of us to treat the whole batch so the expense is a bit heavy on the wallet.
Good thing though, that this time around we had our own money so we managed to do the KKB setup (Kanya-Kanyang Bayad/ Pay for your own food).
Samgyupsal
At first we wanted to eat at an unli wings but those stores usually open at around 3PM. I would not have been able to come then since I have classes at 4PM where we had to open our cameras.
So we decided to just eat samgyup again since the store opened at 11AM. It is erfect for lunch time.
We chose a pretty near samgyup restaurant at our place. We only had to take one jeep to get here.
Here is a picture I took as we wait outside. It was raining a bit then so we were lucky that we have already reached the establishment. You can see the price list at their door.
But they do have a weekday promo for P299. It is an unli pork, and chicken promo but only one red tea is included in the promo. We decided to avail the weekday promo since if we get thirsty, we can always just get more water.
Selfie time
This is just a random picture I took as we were waiting. I sent this to my artner just because I can haha.
The restaurant had us wait for a bit as they prepare the table first. I really liked that kind of setup since when we get there we could start eating immediately instead of waiting for them to set up the table watching them run back and forth from the kitchen.
In their set up, the sides are already served. And the meat is already at the table so all we had to do is cook it.
The inside
Here you can see the side of our table. They prepared multiple side dishes as well as some dip.
I really liked their japchae but I do not eat much of it since I would get full easily.
Once we got inside, we put our phones away when the meats hit the grill. So I do not have much pictures.
We ordered only pork so that we will not get full easily but to no avail. We got full after our third order.
I still like the experience though.
After that we paid for our meal then left the restaurant. We did not notice that it was still raining. Fortunately, the area is part of the route of the jeepneys so we managed not to get wet while waiting.
Milktea
You might think that because we just ate at a samgyupsal-an that we will be too full for milktea but you are wrong. We are actually not so full to the point that we want to puke. We stopped eating at just the right amount of full so we still had space for sweets.
We ordered at a small milktea shop around the area. I liked the taste of their milktea and they offer it at an afforable price so that is more plus points in my book.
Sleeping cutie
As we were ordering a sleeping cat stole the show. Seeing the cat really put me in a better mood.
I can say that getting milktea from such a cute kitty is a great way to end the day for us.

Restarting my Life Again
My decision to stop my medication means a lot of things. First, I have to admit to myself that the diagnosis of the psychiatrist is part of who I am now since the medication prescribed to me did work. Then, I have to be ready with the effects and discontinuation symptoms that I would experience because of my decision to stop a medication that is working.
***Disclaimer: I am not telling that others should stop taking their psychiatric medication without the advice of a mental health professional. I am just sharing my experience with quetiapine. The information written in this article should not be taken as medical advice.***
Why I decided to stop taking the medication (again)
The truth is that as much as feel grateful for quetiapine for helping me sleep at night, the side effects of it are making me feel as if I am losing myself. It is a difficult thin to describe because being stable means that it is good, right? It means the manic, and depressive episodes happen less frequently. Basically, my mind is slowly stabilizing into the "normal" function.
But for me stable means no more highs of the mania anymore. And as much as there are destructive things thst could happen in a manic episode, the emotions from those kinds of episodes really kept me feeling alive. Those short episodes of mania, made me believe in myself and my productivity is off the charts.
Moreover, despite massive lifestyle changes, I am having a hard time with the weight gain associated with taking antipsychotics.
As you know, face to face classes are approaching fast. I know this is coming which is why despite the heavy feeling I have, I still continuously worked on sestablishing a good routine. This include a lot of physical activities and a better diet.
Thanks to this, I was able to keep my BMI at the normal level instead of being overweight.
Unfortunately, despite feeling tired everyday from physical activities, I can only do so much to control the weight gain. Even though I became more active than I have been in the last 21 years of my life, my weight is increasing.
Add the fact that quetiapine makes me so hungry all the time, seeing the numbers on the scale go up is discouraging.
I will not be going into detail about my struggles as it might trigger those who are also struggling with their own condition.
But the summary of it is while quetiapine does wonder for my mood stability and sleep, the effects it physically has on my body just opened a new can of worms. I know that if I continue going down this path, bipolar disorder will not be the last thing that will put strain in my body anymore.
It is risky
I know the risks since I have been searching it and taking it to heart the first time I stopped taking quetiapine (which is months ago). Back then the discontinuation symptoms were too much for me and I came back to restart my medication which resulted to the higher dose that I have been taking for 2 months.
But for me, I think I can handle it now. I have better routine than before, and the therapy is working great for me.
The medication helped with sleep and mood stability which can also be done with having a good daily routine and great sleep schedule. It will take a bit but I am getting there.
Closing words
It has been nore than 24 hours since I took my last medication. I am waiting for a full week before I can freely say I am out of 'danger'. I am just observing myself for now.
Aside from the headache last night, I do not feel much concerning discontinuation symptoms. I feel lighter too.
I just hope this feeling continues so thatI will not regret my decision once again. But who knows, maybe if I relapsed again, then I will finally have to admit that I need the meds to live.
But for now, I am going to try just going to therapy and continuing my routine with physical activities and healthier diet. This is the start of a hopefully new chapter of my life ever since being diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

Making Au-ghost Amigurumi
It has been a while since I was able to crochet something that I want instead of something that I need to finish because it is an order. I am not complaining about the akount of orders I received in the past month. On the contrary, I feel quite happy with what I managed to crochet last July.
Still, it does npt erase the fact that most of the things I crocheted last month are repetitive. Most times, I was crocheting headset covers. I received more than 2 dozens orders of headset covers so I am not really that eager to crochet that again. But I actually just crocheted 2 headset covers this day because I received an order.
These are the headset covers I made earlier.
After making these orders, I finally had the time to make an amigurumi that I have been wanting to make for a while now. This is the perfect time since I delisted all my products on my online shop, and I also put the store on vacation mode (even though I am not actually on vacation). I just put it in vacation mode to tell the prospective buyers that I am not around and I will not be able to reply to their inquiries.
Anyway, let us now go to the amigurumi I made.
Pattern
This amigurumi project is not a freehand of mine. I followed a free pattern of how to make an amigurumi ghost. Feel free to check out the pattern and follow along the instructions. Behind the scenes
Since I used a free pattern, I will not be wasting my time writing the pattern on this article. Just click the link I attached in the Pattern part of this article if you are interested in making your own ghost amigurumi.
I started with a magic ring like the usual pattern in amigurumi. I crocheted in circle which is why I used a stitch marker so that I will not lose count of the stitches.
I prepared a 3.00mm safety eyes. This is different from what is needed in the pattern which is 2.50mm. This is the only size of safety eyes I have so I made do with it.
I attached the safety eyes as instructed in the pattern. I always have a hard time attaching safety eyes because I am so weak that I can not close the safety eyes with just one push. I have to put my everything in closing the safety eyes.
This is the ghost amigurumi without the pumpkin hat. I contempkated if I should add a hat or not but in the end I decided to attach one for an added cuteness factor.
Here is what the pumpkin hat looks like before I attached it to the ghost amigurumi. The pumpkin hat is easy to make, and I am tempted to use it for more amigurumi dolls. I used sewing pins to put the hat in place so that I can take my time with sewing it onto the ghost body.
Final product
This is what the end product looks like. I lovingly caled this one Au-ghost since it is a ghost amigurumi that I made in August.
This is a part of my Halloween collection. I know, it is just August and I am alresdy thinking of Halloween. Sue me, I really want to do some cute and creepy amigurumis for November. I am just preparing in advance so that I have a lot of time to choose which amigurumis to make.
I actually already have a witch hat keychain, but I will keep that to myself for now. This Au-ghost keychain is just too cute that is why I immediately shared it with you guys.

A Taste of Heaven
It has been a while since I last tasted one of my comfort foods-ramen. I do not have an expensive taste so I am satisfied with P99 (~$2) worth of ramen. But what I want more is to eat it with a loved one.
I used to be satisfied with the ramen place near our home. My sister and I went there a few times. But in our last two visits, the ramen house served spoiled naruto, and egg as toppings for our ramen. We have not returned there since then.
But you know, I have been craving it lately because of some sad circumstances. Thankfully, my partner sent a link about a new branch of Ramen Kuroda where they offer unli noodles for any of their ramen.
It was a first for us so we decided to try it out earlier today.
Ramen Kuroda
The branch that we visited is on Ayala Malls in Makati Circuit. They offer free unli noodles from August 8-10. So if you want to try it out, you still have until tomorrow to visit them. You can find them on the lower ground level of the mall.
When we got there, there is no line thankfully. We were immediately seated, and we were given the menu.
I ordered Aka Chashumen. It is a ramen with a spicy seafood taste topped with pork slices and egg. My partner ordered Kuro Chasumen which a ramen with garlic-y taste topped with pork slices and egg.
We also ordered 2 bowls of free noodles to start our unli noodles experience.
It took a few minutes for our order to arrive but it was worth the wait. The ramen is served hot, and it is eaten with chopsticks and a ramen spoon for the soup.
The first taste was the best. I can definitely say that it was the best ramen me and my partner have tried together. And he also agreed with that.
The taste of the broth or soup is so prominent and it sticks well to the noodles. I was slurping the noodles like there was no tomorrow because of how delicious it was.
Soon enough, I did not notice that I already ate the first two bowls of noodles. We ordered another two bowls of free noodles, one for each of us.
We added it to the soup and we ate it while we talk about random stuff that I will not share here of course.
We ate around 4 bowls of free noodles (not counting the original bowl of ramen that we ordered). We definitely ate our money's worth since a bowl of noodles cost P50 (~$1) each.
Rating
The taste of the ramen is 15/10 for me. I can say that it is worth the price and the amount of toppings is chef's kiss.
To be completely honest, even if we did have the free noodles with it, I can still say it is worth it.
The noodles were well cooked as well and we can add spices to our ramen like sesame seeds, pepper, chili powder, and chili oil.
Eating suggestion
If you saw this and decided to go to Ramen Kuroda tomorrow to enjoy the unli noodles, my advice is to not put the noodles into the original bowl of ramen.
The reason for this is when the noodles are mixed with the broth, the soup slowly loses its taste due to the water on the noodles.
So if we can go back in time, we would just slowly add the soup to the bowl of the free noodles and eat it from there. In that way, the taste of the broth could be preserved and you will still have a tasty ramen at the end of your unli noodles experience.
Closing words
I still recommend eating there if you want to try a ramen with unli noodles experience. I also suggest that you go there at an early time since when we finished eating, there is a long line of people waiting to eat inside. So definitely go earlier than lunch time or snack time. Also bring an extra money because there is a service fee not included in the menu price.

Buying the things I need
As much as I would love to save all the money that I get, there are instances when I need to spend for my needs.
These needs now include kitten essentials like their food and litter as well as for Moshi, our dog.
But since I have stock up on their food last time around, the things that I bought are mostly for myself. I bought them in preparation for face to face classes.
Shopee
I don't really enjoy shopping at Shopee as much as I used to. But sometimes, this platform is still the better option for shipping fee. Especially for items that weigh heavily. In Lazada, the shipping fee for a 5kg item can reach up to P300, but for Shopee, I can find a shop where the shipping fee is only around P80.
Kitten litter
I have switched from using the sand litter to a wood pellet litter. I found that the smell is not noticeable for this type of litter.
Unfortunately, I am not fond of using the litter with sifter tray. I get disgusted with how their body waste looks with just the pellet. So I went back to just using this litter but in their normal litter box.
Dry Food
Moshi is picky with her dog food so I usually order this since it passed her taste test.
Ceylon cinnamon powder
It is embarrassing to admit, but I bought this as a substitute for metformin. I was looking for a solution to the weight gain due to taking antipsychotics (quetiapine), and I found studies that suggested the effectiveness of metformin. Unfortunately, it is a drug that needs prescription. I have yet to meet up with my psychiatrist again so I can't ask her about it.
I decided to just search for alternatives and found that true cinnamon may also give the same effects. I am not really expecting much but I figured it is better to try.
Of course, I am also changing my lifestyle to include more ohysical activities to counter the weight gain side effect of quetiapine. Thankfully, I have managed to stay in the normal BMI zone despite taking the medication for more than 2 months now.
Shoes and sandals
I bought a flat doll shoes here before and I really liked the quality for its price so I waited for flash sales to buy these items.
Highlighter/bronzer and Lipstick
If face to face starts, I do not want to look haggard. It is sad enough that I gained weight but it will be worse if I do not even exert an effort to look fresh.
This is especially important since I am now in 4th year college. We might do face to face OJT so I want to look well.
Lipstick and Eyeliner
I bought a nude lipstick since my sister mentioned that nude lipstick suit my personality better than a blood red one. Unfortunately, the lipstick was too light so I had to mix it with a red lipstick if I want to use it. Otherwise, I would just look like I am sick.
I do not know why I bought the eyeline since I do not know how to apply it but I guess I just have to try and learn how to use it.
Eyebrow pencil
I actually have an eyebrow pencil but I have used it since my freshman year. I decided it was time to try a new one. I just saw that these are on sale so I bought two.
The one I have right now is thicker than these two and it is black. I bought blacj and grey since I am not sure which one will suit me better.
Lazada
I also buy things from Lazada. Mostly it is because Lazada offers free shipping even on days where there is no big online sale.
Foundation and liquid concelear
In freshman year, I only used powder on my face to freshen uo my look. But now I think that learning how to do light make up will be good for the future. After all, when I become a professional, I would have to look presentable most of the times.
Wide leg pants
I bought two of the same color in different sizes. One is oversized and the other is not fit to me. I bought the oversized one for my daily use. It is comfortable and I like it. The oants that did not fit me is a mistake on my part for listening to the reviews.
The reviews said to order a size bigger since the sizes are big. Guess you can never trust someone else in online shopping. The oversized one is also my trust issue popping up but I liked how the oversized one looks on me so that is okay.
Maybe I will get to use the one that does not fit me right now in the future.
Skinny jeans
I know thag there are people who are already done with their skinny jeans ohase but honestly I am not going to give it up. I like how well skinny jeans look on me and they are comfortable to wear. I also have an easy time pairing skinny jeans with my shirts and blouses.

I don't think I am suited for this
I have always done my best in the things that I do. I guess this is why even my emotions go from one extreme to another. It is very much on brand with me being bipolar.
But one thing stays the same that I do my best always. Even if some days my best may not look like much, it was still everything that I could do.
When I started taking adulting seriously, I also did my best trying to find ways to have extra money.
I found that my passion for writing led me to a great opportunity in which I have earned more than what I expected.
And then there is crochet, a new hobby that slowly gave me some earnings.
But because of two instances, I am on the verge of giving up.
Despite the fact that I do my best, I actually wear my heart on my sleeves. It's not like I can hide my emotions nor can I control them. Most likely because of bipolar or maybe I am just a weak person.
I was already feeling a bit down from everything that is hapoening with my life but I have been doing my best to smile through it. I have been quietly carrying the burden of my life.
Yet I have to turn back here to release my emotions because if I don't then I will do something that is unhelpful to my situation.
Final nail on the coffin
The translation of the message is:
"No one trust me anymore I hope you're okay with that my dear. I thought I can put up a business with your products but I failed.
The yellow one that you delivered the don't like it because they did not request for that color so I have no choice but to return their payments.
Anyways thanks and will never order again have a good one. "
I could accept that message if it was truly my fault but I did everything and more to please this specific customer.
The story
This customer made an offer in Shopee to buy 10 headset covers for only P500. Now Shopee still deducts fees from seller so I sold 10 headset covers for only P470. I was at a loss of about P70.
But I thought that it would be okay since the customer promised to order again. I was blinded by my hope.
So she ordered 10 headset covers. She wanted 3 blue, 3 red, 3 black, and 1 pink.
When I finished the order, I sent her this specific picture. And then that is just the time when she said that she needs dark blue. I was irritated since I already scheduled the shipping so I need to rush the order. But I bear with it. Even though it was her fault since in the picture I sent her, there was barely any dark blue yarn.
These are what the orders looked like after I am done with it. As you can see I gave her a freebie mic cover. A headset and mic cover set is P90, but she got hers for only P47. I also sent the customer pictures of the measurements if ever they ask for a refund.
After a few days, the customer received the order. And had a complaint with the product. She said one of the headset covers are incomplete. I accepted that it was my mistake and offered to ship another pair to her.
I told her that since I was busy, I could only send her the available onhand headset covers. I asked her if that is okay, and she said that is fine and she also apologizes for the bother.
I immediately shipped the yellow headset covers. As you can see, I also added a mic cover. So I faced another P90 loss. It is okay with me since I was the one who made a mistake so I rectified it. I also paid for the shiping fee of P38.
I thought that was the end of it
But then I received that message out of blue, and as you can imagine I was angry. It was to the point that I almost sent her an angry message in response to what she said.
All I can think of was how dare she. Where did she find the audacity when I was the one who loss not only P30, but P158!
If she compared that to her one return order she won't even hold a candle to that.
I really had to pull all the lessons in therapy just so I could stop myself from sending a message to the customer.
I ended up just blocking her since I do not think she even deserved to be replied to.
It still wounds me though
As much as I am aware that I did my best and that it was not my fault that her customer returned the item. I could help but think that maybe I am not cut out for online selling.
Maybe I should just keep crocheting as a hobby and not a business.
I did my best and yet amongst the loss, I also received such message.
I understand that she was frustrated but she has no right to put the blame on me when she agreed to the color change.
Right now, I am feeling impulsive. I want to unblock her just so I can send her a screenshot of where she agreed to receive the yellow one without any complaints.
But no, I must not bother myself anymore.

Driving on the main road
In my last article, I shared my experience in sitting on the driver's seat for the very first time. I shared how nervous I felt but I also felt happy with my progress. https://read.cash/@ZehraSky/first-time-being-in-the-drivers-seat-167ce260
Yesterday, I actually forgot to review on the skills that I needed to improve because I was busy reading webtoons. I totally forgot that today is my last PDC session.
Thankfully, my father reminded me last night so I was able to sleep at 11PM and I woke up at 6AM.
I did my usual preparation for the morning. I made sure to bring my student permit since I can not drive without it.
Basics Refresher
We once again started on the quiet secondary road where we had our last session. The instructor asked me to move forward and in reverse, slowly and with gas.
Then after that, I was asked to do a u-turn. Once the instructor was sure that I remember the basics, he instructed me where to go.
And lo and behold he was taking me to a main road. I was so unprepared that I almost burst in tears.
I panicked, I am not going to lie. At that first round on the main road, my instructor was the one who mainly moved the steering wheel because I was frantically trying to remember the lessons I suddenly forgot.
I was embarassed about it but I just accepted that as part of being a new driver.
My instructor told me the mistakes he noticed and how to rectify it. Then we took a short break.
While taking a break, another student driver from the same driving school passed us by. He told me not to envy that student driver since she was driving an automatic car so she is in under less pressure than I was. Hearing that, made me determine to do well in driving.
Refresher 2.0
After that surprise drive on the main road, I was in for another lesson time. I listened closely to the instructor.
He told me that I should be fast when steering, and only slow down when I am making sure that the wheels are going in a straight direction. He also told me to watch my hands when I am changing gears. Since I am taking my right hand away from the steering wheel, I needed to ensure that my left hand is firm and steady because otherwise the car would move to the left.
And then, once I am done he told me we will once again go back to the main road so that I can enjoy being in the driver's seat.
On to the main road
At first, I had a hard time blending into the ongoing traffic but after a while I was able to do it.
Then we went around the city hall. I do not remember the exact route that we drove to but I know we drove by Robinsons Pioneer. Then we got to some road in Pasay where I got to practice my hanging skills.
Also known as keep my foot on the brake until the traffic moves. I know I could hve used the handbrake for that but the instructor wanted me to use the brake pedal so that I could get used to feeling it.
After that, we got around to a familiar road. Then I recognized that managed to go to the driving school again.
I parked the car outside the driving school, and enter the building on foot. I logged out in the attendance sheet.
The owner was surprised to see me. I have 4 hours to finish the session but we got back at 3 hours.
It was already discussed in TDC that the PDC sessions may last 3hours to 3 and half hours depending on the student driver.
The owner told me I was a fast learner since she saw some student drivers who still could not drive around the main road despite being given free additional practical driving hours. She mentioned that they refused to give a PDC certificate for cases like that.
She told me that I could get my PDC certificate on Sunday after lunch time so that the driving instructors are there.
The instructor and owner also told me some interesting things about getting a non professional driver's license but I will not be sharing it here for confidentiality purposes.
My thoughts
It took me a few hours for the fact to sink in that I managed to drive a manual car around the main road. Sure I still have a lot of room for improvement but I feel proud of my progress.
I feel quite happy when I think about how when August started, I literally had no idea how to drive. But now I have an 8 hours driving experience.
Next goal is to get my non-professional driver's license. But that will have to wait.

First time being in the driver's seat
I grew up in a not so wealthy family. This means that more of our focus was on making money and spending it on things.
My father was the only one who knows how to drive. My mother knows how to drive too but she does not have a license.
Back in high school, as we near the legal age, many of my wealthy batchmates were starting to learn how to drive. But me and a lot of others were not thinking about it.
At first, it was because I have my father who already knows how to drive. He always pick me up and take me to the places I want to go so I do not have to worry much about commute.
Then, I have my partner who also knows how to drive, and he also picks me up and take me home on dates. So we only commuted together back when we were first starting to go on dates.
Basically, I had no reason to need to study driving. Up until now, when I started to see engineering job listings that include either- male preferred, or someone who can drive preferred.
Obviously, I am not a male so I can not do anything about that preference. But for the someone who can drive part, I can do something about that.
Earlier than planned
I was planning to work on getting my driver's license after graduation together with my bestfriend.
But then during this vacation, my father told me he will pay for the driving school. So I did not hesitate, I just agreed to go.
I did not even manage to mention it to my bestfriend. She has been busy and there was not a lot of times we could talk.
First session
The Practical Driving Course at BTS Driving School was divided into 2 sessions that are 4 hours long.
The first session will be for basic maneuvers. While the second day will include going out on the road.
My first session is scheduled on August 3, 1-5PM. While my second session is on August 5, 8AM-12PM.
This is a selfie as I wait inside the driving school for my driving instructor. I am learning how to drive a sedan manual transmission.
This is me in the passenger seat as the driving instructor drives us to a place where we can practice driving.
I was pretty nervius since I get dizzy and puked sometimes when I am in a moving vehicle HAHA. I was worried that I would still get dizzy even if I am the one in the passenger seat.

At this point, I had already managed to drive the car around the block. I knew how to find the biting point, release, biting point with gas, and reverse.
We took a break since I was getting nervous and my feet was aching from driving.
This is a picture I took inside the car when the driving instructor left me to talk with the other intrsutor in the area.
As you can see it is not moving since I can not drive without supervision.
After the break, I learned hanging. It means that we were on a inclined slope and I had to learn how to control the biting point to stay in place or to move slowly up the slope.
It was a bit difficult to do since I was so focused on what I could hit in front of me. But in the end, I was able to learn how to do it.

I was very tired, and I was sweating from driving. But I felt happy with what I learned.
Closing words
I am nervous for the next session but I also feel excited to drive on the main road instead of just driving in a secondary road.
My instructor said that I will get more confident after driving in the main road and I really hope it works.
The session ended with my instructor telling me to trust him next time since he will not let us crash into anything. He also reminded me to think about the lessons I learned, and to always be alert on the road when I am at the driver's seat.
I hope that I can do well in my next and (hopefully) last session. I also hooe I don't hit the gutter again HAHA because if I do that in the LTO exam then that is an automatic fail and I do not want that.

Officially Enrolled
Education has been a big part of my life. Honestly, a few years ago my sense of self was so tied with my academic life that I felt that I do not have any other reason to exist.
Thankfully as time passed by, I started to discover things that I liked which made me enjoy what being alive means.
Yet the importance of education is still clear in my mind. So despite the fact that I found new things to spend my time on, I always make sure to give priority to my studies.
Time flies so fast
I never imagined I would reach this stage of my life. Well, I used to imagine it but now that it is here, I can not believe it. It feels like yesterday when I was wearing my college uniform for the first time.
Excitement was the feeling I had during my first day in college. In my first year, I have moments where I think that I chose the right program for me. The subjects were a bit understandable to me back then as we had discussed them in high school. I got lucky since I was in a science high school so the subjects were advanced compared to other high schools. So while many of my classmates struggled, I was able to understand the lessons.
When pandemic started, I was a bit glad for the supposed 2-week break. But then online classes started and I felt myself feeling lost. I was thinking that maybe I am not really made for this course. But I persevered despite the heavy feeling of not being in the right place.
And now, I am officially enrolled for the new academic year as a 4th year student.
I used to think it was far away
I remember when I was a freshman, I felt a deep sense of admiration to higher level students. After all, in my mind, they are able to finish all the things that I might struggle with. They are close to the finish line so to speak.
But now that I am a 4th year student, I think that the 4th year students that I saw before might be feeling the same kind of nostalgic remembrance of what I used to think of being in 4th year. Maybe they also feel the same kind of nervousness and excited. Most likely the same amount of pressure.
The only difference is that those 4th year students that I saw on my freshman year are probably better in every way than us, the incoming 4th year. They have more practical knowledge. They have laboratory activities that hone their skills. They overall have more experience and knowledge than us.
My schedule
Here you can see the schedule that I picked. I decided to stay with the same block (Block 1) since I already know the people. This is hopefully my last year so I do not want to feel alone in a new block.
As you can see, most of our subjects are in the evening. This is probably to make way for OJT.
Most of the subjects are major ones but we still have some general subjects that other programs took earlier like the Art Appreciation subject.
My plan
I am planning to have my OJT in the same place as my bestfriend. In our conversation last time, she told me that her aunt will help us get into a good company for our OJT. I am feeling excited at the possibility of it, but I am also trying to prepare myself if it turns out that only one of us can be taken in by the company.
I do not have any relatives in the same field that I am so I am grasping blindly but I still want to believe that I can do it. I have also started to look for other companies that my offer OJT.
But I am mostly editing my CV. My CV when I entered college was so cringy because I included all my achievements even the ones that I got on elementary that has no connection to what the CV is for. I do not have much to write there though since I am really not active in college. Good thing that my grades qualified for our department's academic achievers for half of my stay in college.
Aside from that, I plan to study other related skills that may give me an edge after graduation. Learning how to drive and getting a driver's license is a part of it. The other thing that I can think of is familiarizing myself more of how to use AutoCAD. And maybe I can learn some basic programming language.
Closing words
A new chapter in my life is slowly unfolding. I hope that I can make the most out of it.

What's in store for August?
Obviously, I can not predict the future so my title is more of me sharing my vision for this month and not a prediction. I wish I could clearly see the future but that remains to just be a wish.
I am not really big on planning because I am a go with the flow type of person. However, even I can admit the effectiveness of goal setting and planning.
August 2022 will be a busy month for sure. Not only will a new academic year start, I also have to attend practical driving course classes, and to hopefully apply for a non-professional driver's license.
I did not really manage my time well this vacation so I know that I will be having a bit of an adjustment period. So I decided to set some goals and plans, and publish it so that I will feel really responsible for making time for my goals.
My goals are going to be realistically possible and also takes into account that I am in a depressive episode right now. So if you read the goals and feel like what I wrote are easily done, then just know that for me those things will take a lot more effort to do.

This is a great side hustle for me and for a year, it gave me a lot of opportunities to earn. However, it is also a part of my routine that gave me the most pressure. Producing an article daily used to be easy for me but now it is not easy anymore. So my goals will reflect that.
Write 1 article per week.
Read 10 articles per week.
Hive blog
This is a new addition to my side hustle and I do not have any earnings from here yet but I wanted to explore this site this month.
Publish another article.
Interact with those lovely users who left such helpful guides on my introductory post.

I really, really like making crochet hats and beanies but few people paay attention to the ones I made but I still want to do more hat projects.
Prepare for Ber-months to take advantage of the early Christmas spirits.
Personal goals
These are the things that I want to be able to accomplish this month.
Re-establish a good sleep schedule (6-10 hours). Much better of 8 hours of sleep is done daily.
Spend time with my partner, friends, and family.
Save at least P1,000.
Closing words
These things would be so easy for the me last August 2021. I was in a hypimanic episode for that month so my productivitiy is at an all time high. When compared to my energy levels this time around, I can say that I would be surprised if I managed to complete 50% of these goals that I set.
Maybe, my symptoms will get better once I fixed my sleeping schedule. The Universe knows that last year, I really paid attention to having a regular sleep pattern.
Anyway, since I made these goals when my symptoms are at a bad place, I am just setting it enough so that it will be difficult to do but not too difficult that I would give up.

(I wanted to use the title AuGoals for this. I remember seeing that last year. I think it was WanderingMedStudent's article. But I decided against it since it was not my idea. I just wanted to share it here since I waited for a year to hopefully use that very creative title. Even if I did not use it I just really want to share that I am still amazed at that play with words that I kept it in my mind for a year HAHA.)

July 2022 Articles Summary
This month is a busy month for me. I have actually let my grinding on noise.cash and read.cash take a backseat this July. There are many reasons for this. The main reason is that I am battling with a depressive episode so most of the days, I just want to lie in bed and not do anything. I ended up doing that in a lot of days too.
Basically my focus on this month has been on my mental health instead of grinding. That is not to say that I let my side hustles go to waste though. In actuality, my small business has received a lot of orders this month which let me be more chill in my grind here because I have another source of income.
The highlight of this month for me is getting my student permit. I was inactive on grinding because there are days when I spent preparing for it. Namely, attending the Theoretical Driving Course so that I can complete my requirements. After getting my student permit, I got so tired that I decided to rest for a bit instead of writing.
I am actually not sure how many articles I wrote this month. I would be surprise if I managed to publish 20 articles to be honest. I also did not track how much I managed to earn from my articles. Mostly because a new semester is about to start. And for me, new semester means the arrival of a huge stipend so I decided to focus more on resting instead of grinding.
Anyway, let us not see how many articles I managed to write.

Things I want to learn
Education is something that I value. For me, I think that knowledge holds more power than anything in this world. Of course, I know money might seem more powerful, but with knowledge one can find a way to make more money than ever.
However, today I will not be focusing on things that need formal education nor things that will generate money. In this article, I will share the things that I want to learn for fun.
Master a musical instrument
Note that I use master since knowing how to use a musical instrument is a bit achievable.
Exhibit A is me. I know how to play kalimba. But I am not a master at it. It means that I could play a few songs but only the basic ones.
When I first got the kalimba I played it everyday but it had been months now since I last held it.
Sad thing is that I bought a new kalimba as a gift for myself when 2021 ended. But I have yet to play it.
So I want to master it.
Mindfulness
This is actually a part of the book that my psychologist recommended me to read. It was a component of a therapy known as DBT but I was stuck.
Even after reading the idea behind the exercise, I find myself so lost. After all, I have been living life with so many things running on my mind at once that the idea of fully focusing on one thing is a bit difficult to grasp.
I still want to learn it since I feel that it would prove to be a nice experience.
Risk management
A part of bipolar disorder is impulsivity. So I know that I will always have struggles with risk management. But I want to learn how to better manage risks despite my impulsive nature.
I do not want to be too conservative as a risk taker since chances might slip through my fingers. But I do not want to be too much of a risk taker to the point that I will gamble on the losing side.
Actually, my past investments were a major reason why the psychiatrist was able to see that I do not have just major depression but rather I am bipolar.
Planning
A good daily routine is something that I struggle with but it is something that I desperately need. As I mentioned, I am bipolar so a structure is needed to help me become stable.
Being as go with the flow type of person is not a good thing for me as this has led me to many impulsive decisions that brought negative consequences.
So being good with planning is something that I really want to learn. By a good plan, I want to be able to establish a routine that I could stick with.
As of now, I am still trying to find a good routine but I hope that I will be able to find the right one for me soon.
Self confidence
I think that I have a heathy amount of self confidence but that changed.
I already started to have a low confidence when I got cheated on. Then the decline of my self confidence continued as I gained weight during the pandemic.
My self confidence recovered a lot since meeting my partner. But my self confidence also suffered since I got my bipolar diagnosis.
I am still in the process of building my self confidence but I want to make it so it will never be broken down again.
Therapy is helping me a lot in this aspect. It is difficult since it opens up memories I would rather forget but I appreciate the insights I gained during each session.

Most of the skills I wanted to learn are related to managing my disorder. Well, I do have a lot of other things I want to learn but these are just some of them.
I do have things that I wanted to learn even before my diagnosis but I will just share it in a different article.

We walk side by side
As a child, I witnessed things that made me so sure that I will never get married. I remember the promise I made to myself to never be tied down to one person.
This promise mold my earlier relatioships. I was barely serious with any of it. I did now what I wanted because I always thought that the relationship will just end anyway.
However as I grow up (not that I am all grown up, I still have growing up to do), I began to crave the companionship that I see in others' relationships. And I see a lot as I am someone who my friends talk to when they have relationship problems.
Still, I had thought that I will not be able to have that since I was too closed off. And my past leaves much to be desired. After all, if I am being honest, I was a walking red flag.
The unexpected
As I had given up finding someone who I would want to be with romantically, I met my now-partner.
We started out as friends. He was someone I talked to regularly even as I flirt with others back then.
I only started to notice him in a different light when we started playing games together. I started to see how calm he was and how he just enjoys playing the game instead of taking it too seriously.
Since then, I harbored a tiny crush on him. Then later on, the crush grew. Fortunately the feelings were reciprocated. And now, I am still with him.
Learning Fun
I am a boring person.
I say this because I have limited freedom to do what I want so I do not have a lot of fun experiences to talk about. The dates I went to happened in the same place- SM Megamall. I do not know a lot of things nor do I have the desire to try new activities.
After all, most of the activities that I can try are not within vicinity and I hate commute so I put it out of my mind.
But now with my partner, I have experienced fun things. I discivered that going on dates is not boring but a very memorable experience.
Intramuros
Intramuros is a place that I really liked. I only got to go to this place around 5 times before. All of which were related to academic trips so I did not get to explore much.
He is familiar with the place and he ended up showing me some spots there that I did not know before.
It was a fun date and I really enjoyed it.
Mall of Asia
It was just my 2nd time visiting this place. My parents did not want us to go here since a huge part of the place is on water, but they let me go when I told them I am with my partner.
They really started to let me go to different places once my partner and I started dating. It was probably because my partner makes sure to pick me up and take me home for our dates. And most of the times we are done with our dates before I have to take my medication.
During our date here, we rode bump cars and I really enjoyed it since I managed to make the bump car moves unlike before where my bump car was stationary. Thanks to my partner for teaching me how to make it move.
Ayala Malls
This one is from our recent date. We were panning to watch a movie at the cinemas but we ended up at Ayala Malls. He showed me around the place because he is familiar with it.
Then we ended up eating unli wings instead of watching a movie.
Time flies so fast when you are eating good wings.
Closing words
I have been walking side by side with my partner for more than a year now. And the happiness I felt when we first saw each other is still here.
When I am with him, it feels like everything is brand new but I also felt secure as if I have known him for a long time.
Sometimes, the memories of my past haunt me but when that happens I try to fill my mind with happy moments I shared with my partner. It helps me feel better.
I will not be able to change the past,and the mistakes I made, but I am choosing to be better than I was before every single day.

Joining Hive Community
During the last semester, I promised myself that I will look into more earning opportunities during the summer vacation. One of the platform I wanted to explore is Hive blog.
However due to many bouts of depressive episodes, my vacation days keep decreasing and no sign of any account made came from me. I would say that I needed the rest more than the grind so I do not regret the time that passed by.
Although I have no regrets in the days that I did not sign up for Hive blog, I am always filled with thoughts of how to earn more.
Three sources of income
As of now, I have three sources of income. One of which was slowly established during this vacation.
The first one and the one that used to give me most income is my scholarship stipend. I get P7000 every month for this. But I do not get to keep the whole money since I contribute to the household expenses.
Next is blogging on noise.cash, and read.cash. These two platforms quickly became the biggest source of income I have. Many times my earnings here saved me from insanity and other bad financial situations.
Lastly, I now have a small crochet business that I have started to manage better. My income from this before ranged from P50- P1000 per month. But it now reached its all time high of more than P4000 in this month alone.
Adding Hive to the mix
As an incoming 4th year college student, I wanted to start saving money so that the real life will not hit me as hard as it should. I already had an experience working so I know that I might have a hard time not being impulsive with my money. So I wanted to add more streams of income in my life before I even start with real work.
I decided that today is a good day to sign up to Hive. I chose the HiveOnBoard option for no particular reason. I honestly have a lot of reading to do to catch up with how Hive blog works but I will be putting it off for now. I just wanted to get through the process of signing up for it first.
I used the same username I have here on read.cash and noise.cash for my Hive account- zehrasky. In this screeenshot, I am just checking out some communities before I start writing my own introductory post.
My plan for my Hive account
The reason why I did not immediately sign up for Hive is that I wanted my account there to be dedicated to a certain niche. Well, I am not going to be strictly writing for one niche, but I wanted it to have a direction.
After all, I am already writing articles here on read.cash, what would make my Hive account different from this one?
I decided that I want to dedicate my Hive account into my creative spirits. This means that I want to write about crochet, digital art, painting, and sewing on Hive blog. I may also write about what it is like to live with bipolar disorder but I think I want to focus mainly on my creative outlet.
This decision will also make it easier for me to distinguish where I should publish an article that I want to write.
Closing Words
Making an account on Hive might not be the biggest thing ever but for me it is already enough. I just needed to take that first step for now before I start to dive in more.
Anyway, my focus would still be mainly here on read.cash and noise.cash. I just want to try out Hive blog in case I regret not trying it out.

Reasons why I want to get a driver's license
In a previous article, I shared my experience in getting a student permit. As I mentioned in that article, getting a student permit is needed to learn how to drive. Today I want to share the reasons why I decided it is time to get a driver's license.
Valid ID
The first reason is that a driver's license is a valid ID so I can use it for verification purposes in different applications. Of course, I know that there are valid IDs that are easily acquired like postal ID. But I wanted the driver's license because having it also means that I can drive.
Convenience
Having a driver's license means that I will be able to drive if there are surprise outings with either friends or family. My father is the main driver for our outings but he is getting older and he is getting more tired now when driving.
So he decided to teach us how to drive. Unfortunately for my father's hopes, he was not blessed with a son. This is probably the reason why it took him a bit of time before he decided to teach us how to drive.
I was selected to go first. He was unaware of the changes in getting a student permit but thanks to the internet I was able to search for the requirements. When my father found out that there were additional requirements he regretted that he did not immediately take us to get the student permit back when we turned 18.
Anyway, that is in the past now. For now, he paid for majority of the fee for driving school so that I can learn how to drive.
Career edge
In the engineering job listings I have found, there was a common preference- someone who can drive. The reason for this is probably because the field is a bit out of the way so knowing how to drive will be a plus.
This is honestly the main reason why I suddenly became interested with getting a driver's license.
Before, I was content with letting my father drive us around. And then I lost interest again since my partner also knows how to drive. It is definitely not one of my roudest moment but I am just being honest here.
But when I realized that knowing how to drive will give me an edge that I need for future employment, I decided it is worth learning how to drive.
Why do I need an edge in career?
As some of you may remember, I am an engineering student. I am a girl in a male dominated career track so any edge that I could get is something that I want to work towards with.
I know that the bias for male engineers are not as widespread as before but I have seen a fair amount of job listings with preference for male engineers to pretend that it does not exist anymore.
Closing words
Those are the reasons why I decided to get a driver's license. As of now, I still have a long way to go to get that license.
I still have to get a practical driving course (PDC) certificate. To do that means that I have to pass the practical test of the drivinf instructor.
I am a bit nervous since the plan was for us to go out in the traffic for our second session but I think the nervousness will fade someday.
After getting the PDC certificate, I need to wait for a month and 3 days to apply for my non-pro driver's license.
To get the non-pro driver's license, I need to pass a written and practicak exam at the LTO branch.
But that is a bit far away for now so I will focus on the high I have in getting a student permit.

If I were 10 feet tall
As I was reminiscing about the past, I remember a memory long buried in my mind.
It was back in Grade 6 when a leading newspaper brand in the country gave us, students, newspapers with some activities we ought to do. The teachers then collect it and send it to the newspaper company. In the next publication, some of our works can be seen there if they were good.
One activity that stood out in my memories was to write about what would we do if we were 10 feet tall.
As a child, I can not remember much of what I wrote. But I knew that the grammar and sentence construction I made was bad, to the point that the older brother of my friend threw away what I wrote and decided to write another piece. I ended up not passing the output in a petty revenge since it was not done by us and was instead completed by a high schooler.
Looking back, I think I never got over that action. I remember that I was sad about it, but now all I can think off was how poor his self-esteem was to judge a literal grade 6 student's work in the standard of a graduating high school student.
He might have thought he was amazing because he was studying at a science high school. Jokes on him though since I graduated that very same high school with honors plus special awards in research while he just graduated there with no awards to distinguish his efforts.
Anyway, enough about my bitterness on the matter. The point in that story was that it pushed me to become a better writer. I was already good for my age then since I was part of the journalism club and even wrote articles for our school papers, but I decided to push myself more. It came to the point where my writing activities in high school got high marks, and my classmates started asking for my help to revise their papers.
So if you are anywhere out there brother of my old friend, know that I overcome the insult you did to grade 6 me.
Now let us go back to the topic at hand. I decided that I want to make a short article about what would I do if I were 10 feet tall.
I would need a new house
My height as of now is 5 feet flat. So I would double in height overnight.
The first thing that I would do is to find a house large enough to accomodate my new height. Although I am not sure where I can find one.
The design of the house will probably be just a one storey building because can you inagine how tall the house would be if I want a 2 storey house?
New things
Once I secured a house, I need new things as well. I need a new set of clothes. Now that I think about it, that should have been my first priority. After all, how would I look for a new house while naked?
So after I looked for clothes, I need new furniture. I need to find a bed, table, and seats. Basically I need home essentials.
I would also need to buy a lot of products since I would need more of it. Instead of just one bottle of shampoo, I would need 2. The same goes for other stuff like conditioner, toothpaste, and soap.
Food
Lastly, I would need to accumulate a lot of food to feed myself. At 10 feet tall, I think my usual meals right now will not be enough with the energy I need to move a body that tall.
Basically like with new things, I need to add more food into my diet.
Do I want to become 10 feet tall?
In all honesty, I would not want to be 10 feet tall.
The most important reason is that I would feel very awkward with my body. At 10 feet, I would feel as though I am taking up so much space and I would feel embarassed about it.
I would also have more expenses if I am 10 feet tall because the clothes I need woould have to be custom made to make the garments fit. Moreover, I need more food so that means more expenses.
In simpler words, I would hate it if I became 10 feet tall in a country where around 5'3 is the norm height (well at least at out city).
Closing words
Thinking about what my life would look like if my height is 10 feet makes me more appreciative of my life right now.
I may be short but I at least feel comfortable in my skin, and my expenses are something that I can manage.

DIY Sunflower Headset Covers
One of my most sold crochet item is the headset covers. I managed to find the right audience for it which is the call center agents. Good thing that I have 2 sisters who worked at the industry so I was able to boost my sakes due to their word of mouth.
And that sales gave me the courage to reopen my online shop. This decision then led to the expansion of my audience reach.
Even now, I still have trouble believing that I am getting orders from time to time.
These orders enabled me to get therapy. Moreover, I managed to have enough money to take the kittens to the vet. I also gained enough money to fund my impulsive buys.
You know, even though I struggle a lot with bipolar disorder, I am still lucky. Why?
Because I still have a bit of control over myself. I know for a fact that there are those with the same condition who have ruined a lot of their relationships and opportunities because of their impulsivity.
At least for me, even if I do impulse buying, I only spend money that I truly have. I am not in debt or anything. If we are being honest, I am the one who lets other family members borrow money from me.
Anyway, let us go back to the topic at hand. Today I want to share the simple pattern I have for a sunflower headset covers.
Here is the project we are going to be working on.
Skill level
This project only requires basic skill level. It means that even a beginner will be able to do this project.
In order to follow along the pattern, you must be familiar with the following terms:
Magic ring (MR)- a technique used to make a circle without leaving a space in the center.
Chain (CH)- do a slip knot, yarn over, and pull through, you now have your first chain.
Double crochet stitch (DC)- yarn over, insert hook in the chain, yarn over, pull through two loops, and pull through the remaining two loops. You now have your first double crochet stitch.
Puff stitch- yarn over, insert hook in the stitch, pull through, yarn over, pull through, yarn over, pull through. You now have 7 loops on your hook, pull through all 7 loops. This is your first puff stitch.
Invisible decrease (INV DEC)- a technique used to reduce the number of stitches without a noticeable bump.
Fasten off- this is a technique used to end the stitches so that the yarn will not unravel.
Materials
The materials listed here are the things I used. You may substitute any yarn or hook size deepnding on the size of the headset covers you want or your preference in yarns.
2/0 Tulip crochet hook
3-ply Monaco mercerized cotton yarns (brown, yellow, black)
Darning needle
Pattern
The pattern is simple and it will yield headset covers with a 5.5cm diameter. You may adjust the pattern depending on the size you want.
Using brown yarn:
Make a magic ring, chain 2, and insert 12 double crochet stitches in the ring. Tighten the ring. Slip stitch to the first double crochet stitch. (12 DC)
Chain 2, insert 2 double crochet stitches in each chain. Slip stitch to the first double crochet stitch.(24 DC)
Using yellow yarn:
Do a *puff stitch in the first stitch, chain 1*. Repeat *pattern* until the end. Slip stitch to the first stitch. (48 STS)
Using black yarn:
Insert 1 double crochet in every stitches. Slip stitch to the first stitch. (48 DC)
Put 1 double crochet in every stitches. Slip stitch to the first stitch. (48 DC)
Do a *double crochet in the first stitch, invisible decrease in the next, and another double crochet stitch in the 3rd stitch*. Repeat this *pattern* until the last stitch. Fasten off. (36 STS)
Sew the excess yarns to secure the project. Cut off the tails.

How to get your student permit (PH)
Getting a driver's license is a privilege that a Filipino can have. But to get a driver's license, one must become a student driver first.
And to be a student driver means you need to have a student permit before you can sit in the driver's seat of a motor vehicle.
I just got my student permit last July 20, so I want to share my experience with you.
Why should you get a student permit?
A student permit allows a student driver to drive a car granted that they are accompanied by someone with a duly driver's license (non-professional or professional).
And while a student permit is not a valid ID, it can still be used for verification. One example is for identity verification on coins.ph, you can use a student permit and another secondary ID to verify your account.
What you need to know before getting a student permit
The most important thing to remember is that getting a student permit is a privilege. This means that it is not a right. So just because you are a Filipino does not guarantee that you will get your student permit.
This is why the Land Transportation Office changed the process of getting a student permit.
In the old process, all you had to do was go to any LTO branch with your requirements and you can get the student permit.
But now in the new process, you have to undergo a 15-hour Theoretical Driving Course, and obtain a certificate after passing the written tests.
What is Theoretical Driving Course (TDC)?
Theoretical Driving Course (TDC) is a series of classes where an aspirin student driver earns the basics of road safety and other things one needs to know before holding a motor vehicle.
Here we tackled the road signs, and the violations that we should be aware of. We were also taught how to communicate with any authorities on the road. We learned when to give and not give our driver's license (or student permit).
We also watched various videos showing what could happen if we are not careful. This is honestly a good addition since it really emphasized the point that we need to be aware of our surroundings at all times.
We were taught what it means to be a defensive driver and how to be one. Basically, you need to be alert and not aggressive on the road. The priority is always your safety and that of your passengers than your ego when driving.
Why should you undergo TDC?
The answer to this is because it is a requirement to getting a student permit.
However, I will not lie and say it was a waste of time and money. No. It was actually a great thing to experience because I was able to learn new things. It also helped me become more aware of what is happening in the traffic even though I am just still a passenger.
Here you can see me as I wait for the first TDC session. I was nervous about the written exams but if you just listen, the tests are a piece of cake.
After passing all the exams, I was given my TDC certificate.
I highly discourage anyone from hiring a fixer for this part. It is uploaded on the LTO portal itself and has to be validated by both the driving school admin and driving instructor. So you never know if you are getting scammed. Maybe they will just give you a piece of paper calling it a TDC certificate yet it is actually not accredited with LTO.
Remember, getting a driver's license is a privilege so best to do your part in earning it. Moreover, the fixer's rates for their assistance are crazy expensive. It is cheaper and more secured to just undergo the right process.
Getting the student permit
You need to go to an LTO branch for this process. The requirements are:
TDC certificate of completion from LTO accredited driving school
Original and Photocopy of PSA birth certificate
Original and Photocopy of a Government valid ID
Medical certificate from LTO accredited clinics
LTO portal account
Once you have all the requirements, go to the LTO branch and you just have to wait.
This is what my student permit looks like. I blurred everything since I do not want to share my information.
Closing words
My expenses for getting the student permit was only P750.
The breakdown is as follows:
Medical certificate (2 copies)- P500
Student permit application- P250
TDC- Free (I just needed to avail the PDC from the same school)
The free TDC was a life saver for expenses since other driving schools offer it for P900 up. If you are in Mandaluyong area, I highly suggest BTS driving school for their free TDC. They alsi have cheaper rates for Practical Driving Course (PDC) than other driving schools.
After 1 month and 1 day, you will be able to apply for a non-professional driver's license as long as you have the complete requirements.

Life happens
No matter how much I want to grind here, there are things that happened which required my attention. Honestly, if I wanted to I could have done something to continuee grinding despite what is happening in my life.
The truth is that I have been in a depressive episode lately.
I am trying my best to magically snap out of it but it's life. It will pass so I am just trying to crawl the days away.
Honestly, I just want to stop taking my medication again. At least back when I was unmedicated, I have hypomanic episodes where my productivity is amazing. Unlike now that I am medicated, my energy is low most times and I feel as if a part of me was taken away from me.
Grasping at some tiny hope
The only reason why I still get out of bed was because I need to take care of the kittens. I have to clean their litterbox and feed them so I can not just stay in bed all day.
But that is what I want to do.
Even doing crochet orders is not enough to lift my mood up. Sure, I appreciate the orders but my body is so down.
I am so tired.
I wish I was not feeling this way.
I wish I could convey how tired and sad I am.
Yet I still need to move. I still have responsibilities that I can't ignore. I tried ignoring it for some days and the effects are not great.
I wish this was not the case
I wish I have a lot of energy.
I wish I am not bipolar.
I wish I could function everyday.
But these wishes are not something that I could have. So I am left here wishing and feeling frustrated with myself.
If only I had sought for help six years ago, back when the symptoms were just starting to show. Maybe my condition would not have been this worse.
If only I had taken care of myself. Maybe this would not have happened.
Still I try my best
I still wake up and get out of bed even when I do not want to. Sometimes, getting out of bed is my achievement for the day.
I wish you would understand why it is so difficult for me but then again, I wish that no one will feel such deep sadness and tiredness that I feel.
I wish this tiredness would go away with sleep, but even with 16 hours of sleep, I just could not seem to brush it off.
I envy people who just need a good night's sleep and their tiredness would be gone. I envy people who just need some food and their mood swings will be okay.
To be honest, I do not know who I am anymore. Looking at my reflection makes me feel as if I am looking at a stranger.
I no longer have any idea who I am. I feel as though I lost my sense of self the moment I tried to get better.
Isn't that such a sad thing?
I tried to get better but in return I lost sight of who I am.
I never knew that trying to be normal means cutting off a huge chunk of my identity.
Now I am just living day by day with no motivation or direction.
I tried a lot of things
I have been feeling this way for six years so of course I have done a lot of things to stop the relapse or the onset of the episodes. But still, I am feeling that maybe this is what life for me will always look like.
I feel incredibly guilty. After all, I am lucky in many aspects of my life.
I have bestfriends who love me and accept me as I am. I have a family who is trying their best to try and understand me. I have a partner who is so understanding and caring. I have the opportunity to study a good program for free. I even have a scholarship that many students wanted to have.
And yet all these good things seem nothing when my depression hugs me tight every day. The whispers that I do not deserve any good thing I have has become a symphony that I listen to everyday.
I am so tired of fighting.
I am so tired of existing.
However I have no choice except to keep moving forward. A part of me desperately wishes that in the future, I will not feel this way anymore.

Make your own crochet rainbow bandana
The crochet community is in a heated argument right now. Many people are involved in this. The reason for the argument is whether freehanding an crochet project from a paid pattern should be allowed or not.
Now, let me tell you, I am not interested in the issue. Why? Because those designers crying foul are the first to freehand the Prada crochet bag without permission from Prada. So if it is from a big brand, it is okay to freehand the design, but if it is their simple crochet pattern they whine about how unfair it is?
Such hypocrisy makes me want to vomit. In response to what is happening to the crochet community, I aim to share the patterns of the projects I am making.
For today, I would be sharing how to make your own crochet rainbow bandana. I made this one in celebration of the Pride month.

Skill Level
This pattern requires Intermediate skill level. You need to be familiar with magic ring, and color changes. The stitches you need to know are chains, single crochet stitch, and double crochet stitch.
This is how to do these basic stitches:
Chains- Yarn over, and pull through. You now have your first chain.
Single crochet- insert hook to the 1st chain from the hook, yarn over and pull through two loops. You now have your first single crochet single.
Double crochet- yarn over, insert hook to the 3rd chain from the hook, yarn over, pull through 2 loops, pull through the remaining two loops. That is your first double crochet stitch.
Materials
These are the materials I used to make my crochet rainbow bandana. But you may substitute a different type of yarn and hook size depending on your preferences.
3-ply Monaco mercerized cotton yarn (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet)
3/0 crochet hook
Darning needle
A pair of scissors
You may also just use different colors if you do not want a rainbow bandana. You are free to modify this pattern as you see fit.
Pattern
This pattern is easy to follow as long as you know the stitches I mentioned in the Skill Level part of this article.
Using violet yarn:
Make a magic ring. Chain 3, this will count as your first double crochet stitch. Make 2 more double crochet, chain 3, and make another 3 double crochet. Pull the ring tight.
Chain 3, make 2 double crochet stitch in the same stitch. Chain 1, make 3 double crochet stitch into the chain space, chain 3, and put another 3 double crochet in the chain space. Chain 1, and make 3 double crochet into the last double crochet in row 1.
Chain 3, insert 2 double crochet in the first stitch. Chain 1, make 3 double crochet in the first chain space. Make 3 double crochet, chain 3, make another 3 double crochet on the CH3 space. Chain 1, make 3 double crochet.
Using indigo yarn:
**I will now be using the abbreviated terms.** (Chain- CH, Double crochet- DC)
(CH3, 2DC), CH1, 3DC, CH1 (3DC, CH3, 3DC), CH1, 3DC, CH1, 3DC

Using remaining yarns:
You might be starting to notice a pattern. You always do 3DC, then CH1 on a CH1 space. On a CH3 space (or the peak of our triangle), you do (3DC, CH3, 3DC).
You would need to do 3 rows of the same color before switching to the next one. At the end of the pattern you would have made 21 rows.
Using red yarn:
Once you finish the 3 rows of red color, we need to make the strip of yarn that will be used to keep the bandana in place.
To do this you have to:
Make 100 chains.
Crochet single crochet stitch until the last stitch. Slip stitch and fasten off.
Do this in the other side.
Bonus
You may add a white border to the rainbow bandana if you like. To do this, you just have to put single crochet around the bandana. The ties of the bandana will also be white, just follow the instructions above on how to make it.
This is the reversed rainbow bandana I made with white border.

Truth will prevail
This article is just an update from my hurt-filled article in the past. The article before is about how buyer tried to blame me for their mistake. They returned the item and requested a refund. https://read.cash/@ZehraSky/karma-will-knock-on-your-door-4ba72202
To recap
The buyer placed an order without reading the product description where the size is clearly stated. They messaged me after I have already shipped the order so I can not do anything to rectify their mistake.
Here you can see the buyer clearly admit that it is their fault. I told them that they are free to order a custom headset covers. But I also explained that I can not do anything about the order they already placed since I already shipped it.
I asked them to not return the item to seller since the shipping fee will be deducted in my earnings.
I am pissed off but I held my words. I just kept the thought that it is their fault so why must I suffer for it?
After they sent the message telling me that they will return it and that I should send a different item, I lost my patience. After all, the item they want is much more expensive than the one they ordered but they act as if I should give it to them for the same price.
So I told them that it is not my fault that they did not read the description. They told me karma will take care of me.
I just laughed because I can not believe their audacity.
The next morning, they applied for a return/refund request. I approved their request so that I can file a dispute.
I was frustrated because Shooee deducted P45 in my income to pay for the Shipping fee. But I just bid my time and waited for the dispute button to appear.
Dispute process
I needed to wait for the return of the item. I was vibrating with anger at the time and I was unable to focus on anything else.
The next day, a text message told me that the item is to be delivered. But the courier went to our place to tell me that they lost the item. He wanted to pay for it, but I let it go since the gas prices are high. The fact that they went to our place to explain it is good enough for me.
Good thing that I have images of the item before I shipped it. So what I did with my dispute request is to include the screenshots above. I included it to show that the buyer knows they made a mistake and was just trying to blame me because I refused to be a doormat trying to please them as if I was desperate for a sale.

I chose the reason, "received item(s), buyer's claim incorrect as my dispute reason. And in the explanation I wrote:
Buyer did not read the item description where the size is clearly stated at 5.5cm. Then blamed me even though they sent a message only after I shipped the item.
I have a screenshot of buyer admitting they made the mistake as well as the measurement.
And then I attached the screenshots if the conversation we have as well as the images of the item clearly showing the size before I shipped it.
I also sent the product description in the Discuss Now button of Shopee during the dispute since I forgot to include it in my submitted evidence.
Dispute Approved
As you might have guessed from the title, my dispute was approved. This means that I got refunded and I also got the item back (supposedly if the courier did not lose it).
And the buyer?
They got nothing, but a block from me so they will not be able to buy from my shop again.
Here you can see the chat message of a Shopee agent 2 days after I submitted my dispute reason.
I also received this notification on my seller account. I got refunded P97. P45 is from the deducted shipping fee, while the other P52 was the amount of the product.
Closing words
I am sharing this just in case fellow online sellers also encountered this type of customer. I hope that you will know what to do if you find yourself in the same situation.
Make sure to keep a lot of pictures to be sent to your custoners so that if they try to get an unfair refund, you will have a fighting chance.
Most of all, believe that truth will prevail even if the customer lied.

Crochet Kitten Clothes with Me (Part 2)

The first part shared which measurements you shoudl take and when you should make some allowances in the measurements.
In this article, I shall share what you materials you need, the skill level required for the project, and a pattern that you could follow along to make clothes for your beloved pets.
Skill level
This project is Intermediate level. You need to know how to make a chain, single crochet stitch, V-Stitch, double crochet stitch, and slip stitch. You also need to know how to increase stitches.
For beginners, I shall include a short description of how to make the required stitches.
Single crochet stitch- insert your hook in the first chain, yarn over and pull through. You now have your furst single crochet stitch.
Double crochet stitch- yarn over, insert hook on the 3rd chain from the hook, pull through two loop, you would have 2 loops left on the hook then pull through the last 2 loops.
V-Stitch- yarn over, do a double crochet on the 5th chain from the hook, skip two stitches, *do a double crochet, chain 2, and do another double crochet stitch on the same stitch, skip two chains*, and repeat the pattern.
Now that you have an idea on what stitches to use, let us proceed with the materials.
Materials
You would need the following materials to get started with this project. You may substitute any materials to other size or yarn weight depending on your preferences. The materials I listed here are just what I used.
4/0 crochet hook
5 ply milk cotton
A pair of scissors
Darning needle
Tape measure
Once you get the items, you are ready to crochet clothes for your pets.
Pattern
This is a loose step by step process since it will vary depending on the size of your pets.
First thing you need to do is crochet chains until you have the measured neck circumference of your pet. Then slip stitch to the first stitch, make sure that the chain will be straight. Chain 1.
After that, you need to do single crochet in all of the stitches. Slip stitch to the first stitch.
Chain 5, do a double crochet stitch in the same stitch. This will count as your first V- stitch.
Do V- stitch all around following the pattern in the Skill Level part of this article. Repeat this until you reach the desired measurement from the neck to the legs of the pet.
In the next row, we will be using double crochet stitch. You need to lay your project flat, and mark the sides. Then, crochet double crochet stitch in the first half of the project. Chain 2 when you reach the end of the half row. And put double crochet. Repeat this until you reach the desired measurement for armholes. This will be the back part of your project. Fasten off when done.
Next, we would do the front part where the arm holes will be located. To do that, divide the front half of your project into three, taking into regards the measurement of the distance of the legs of your pet. One you locate the distance of the legs, chain 2, and do a row of double crochet stitches until you reach the other side. Add more rows to match the height of the backside.
Create chains (same number as the ones we skipped) to connect the back half to the front half. Do these in both sides.
After that, do double crochet rows until you reach your desired length. Or you may stop at the stomach oart to do a dress. Fasten off.
Bonus Skirt on a Dress
To do this you would have to determine where to put your skirt. I put mine into the half of the arm holes.
Chain 2, and insert 2 double crochet into the same stitch. Increase around until you reach the other side of your skirt.
Chain 2, and insert double crochet into the same stitch. Do this until you reach the desired length of the skirt.
Finished project
This is what your finished project should look like when worn by your pets.
The pattern is easy but the result is cute, isn't it?

Crochet Kitten Clothes with Me (Part 1)
One thing that I love about crochet is that imagination is the limit when it comes to the projects you can make. Even basic crochet stitches can give you different projects of all sizes if you just believe in yourself.
For example, to make amigurumis all you need is to learn the basic single crochet stitch. You can learn it in a week if you would exert time and effort. Of course, you also need to trust yourself.
In the process of learning, it is easy to me demotivated. It is easy to put down the crochet hook, and yarns while thinking that you have no talent for it.
But talent can only take you so far. If I had given up in the first week of learbin how to crochet, I would not have been able to make the cute projects I have been making since then.
So today, buckle up. I will be sharing a simple pattern for your adorable pets, not just kittens, but you can also adjust this depending on your pet's measurement.

I have to say sorry since I do not have much picture so you really have to test your imagination to follow along this written tutorial. I hope that it will be clear though! Let's get started
First thing we need to do is get the measurements of the pets that we want to make clothes for. If the pet you are making for is still in the process of growing up, I suggest leaving room for growth so that the yarn will not be wasted. I did the same for the kittens.
I actually waited for a few months before I decided to make them clothes since I know that they grow up so fast. I did not want to have tons of crochet clothes that they outgrew.
For reference, my kittens are now 4 months old if you are wondering whether or not you should start crochetin for your pet.
I am sharing this flatlay of the kitten clothes so you can have an idea what we are working on.
First measurement you need to get is the circumference of the neck. So take a measurin tape and wrap it lightly around you pet's neck. For my kittens, their neck measurement is 11 inches.
Then you need to measure how far is the neck from their front legs. For Oreo and Presto, this measurement is 2 inches.
You would also need to measure the distance of the legs from one another. It is 2 inches for my kittens. You would also need to estimate the size of the armholes that can fit your pet's front legs. For mine, I used the measurement 2 inches by 3 inches.
In addition to the measurements above, you need to get the circumference of their stomachs to make the appropriate increase so that the clothes will fit them. In this measurement, I used 13 inches for the kittens.
Lastly, you need to get the length of the kittens from the neck up to the point where you want the clothes to end. You can choose to make a crop top style where only the upper part of your pets is covered or you can choose to make a dress like I did with mine. The length of the clothes I made for Oreo and Presto is 10 inches.

Karma will knock on your door
Online selling provides a great opportunity to earn income on the side without exerting a lot of effort. But despite its benefits, it also carries risks.
I know this when I started selling crochet products. But so far, the only messages that irritated me before was the "istm this available?" message and then no other replies after I said that yes, the item is available.
But I learned to accept that it is a part of the life of an online seller. I did not prepare myself for worse types of customers.
My background
I have an experience of being a chat support so I know plenty about how to deescalate a situation, and I do have an idea how to chat properly with customers. I know how to make them feel important and special.
Even though that experience was short, I carried what I learned from that work experience and use it in my daily life. It also came in handy when I decided to start my online business which is selling crochet products.
I also have an experience in being an online buyer. So I know what I want to see in the product description. I ain't doing that PM is the key or PM for price stunt. No, I include the price and relevant information like sizes and materials.
The unpleasant situation
The story starts when I received another order of headset covers in Shopee.
It was nothing out of ordinary, I just prepared the item then I shipped it the next day. It was like my normal routine for orders like these.
I sent the buyer a picture of the item as usual before the shipment. After shippin the item, the buyer messaged me asking for the size of the item. I am already nervous since it means the buyer did not read the roduct description but I still answered that it was around 2 inches in diameter. The roduct description states that the headset covers have a diameter of 5.5 centimeters.
At this point the customer admited that they placed an order for the wrong size. I was basically having a hrd time breathing at this point because I know what will happen in the following days.
But I still tried to keep my calm and asked the customer not to return the item to seller since it will be deducted from my earnings. I told them that I use the income from crochet to buy medications.
Then yesterday they messaged me this:
The buyer was literally threatening me that they will return the item and that I should send another item in the right size.
At this point, I was beyond being patient and kind. I was pissed.
Why would I adjust to accomadate their mistake? It is not my fault that they did not read the product description. Moreover, the item that they want me to use to replace this one is more expensive.
I could not keep my cool. I tried but the only thing I managed was to restrain myself to not curse their stupidity.
I told them it's not my fault that they did not read the product description since the size is already mentioned there. Moreover they only messaged me after I shipped the item.
The buyer responded saying something about there is karma. Lol, like I was the one being unreasonable there?
Return/refund
As expected, today the buyer placed a request for return/refund. I accepted to wait for the return of the item.
This is done in the advice of the customer supports in Shopee after I told them my concern.
Their reason angered me becuse they are acting as if I was the one who made a mistake when their carelessness is the reason why they have ordered a headset covers that are not fit in their headset.
Unfortunately for them, I will not take this lying down. Had they been respectful, I would have refunded the item fully with no desire for dispute even though I am not the one at fault. But because they were rude and they triggered an anger-filled episode, I will be filing for a dispute.
My proofs
Of course, I will not try to dispute it if there is even a doubt in my mind that I will lose. But since I have their admittance of their mistake on chat, I am not afraid.
First proof I have is the product description which has a typo but it still clearly shows the diameter of the product.
Here you can clearly see that the item is as advertised. The measurement is on point and I also followed the color they wanted.
In this screenshot, the buyer cearly stated that they made a mistake. So I am not sure why they thought I would let this go.
Anyway, thanks to their honesty, I have a stron feeling that the dispute will be in my favor. Hopefully, that will happen. This will be a learning opportunity for the buyer to read product descriptions first before ordering, and not placing the blame to sellers when they made a mistake.
Closing words
Despite the title, I am not wishing the buyer any ill will or karma.
I just want the return/refund to be in my favor since I did not do anything wrong. I just sold the item advertised.
I will update you guys maybe in noise.cash what happens next. For now, I will try to stop myself from trying to irritate the buyer. I also am tryin to calm myself so that I do not do anything impulsive like posting what happened on my Facebook page.
Anyway, this situation taught me something and I shall learn from it moving forwards.

Jisoo in your area
After my success with the Wanda doll, my sister wanted to order an amigurumi as well. I know that she is a student so it will be difficult for her to afford the same sized doll that I made before.
The Wanda doll is 5 inches and I sold it for P500. That is a lot of money for a student.
So I knew that her budget is limited which means that I need to create a tiny amigurumi doll. Well not so tiny, just a small one.
The character
This is the picture that my youngest sister sent me. It is a photo of Jisoo from the K-pop girl group Blackpink.
She is also my bias so I decided that I will do my best to make the amigurumi as budget friendly as possible.
The process
First thing I had to do was to decide whether the amigurumi will be a standing or a sitting one.
Standing amigurumi would be good since I already have experience in that area but I wanted to do a sitting one as well. Just to change up things.
After all, I want to continue learning new things in my crafts instead of being stuck with the same old knowledge that I have. I want to continuously improve not stay stagnant.
Once I decided to do a sitting one, I ran the idea over to my sister who agreed to paying P200 for the finished amigurumi.
I first made a magic circle and did a few rows for the head. It is a bit of difficult process because I am using a thin yarn.
Since I am just making a small craft, it is a quick process. It is just so frustrating to work with a thin yarn because I need a tight tension and it leaves my fingers feeling numb.
In the picture above, you can see that the head, hair, and legs are already done. I just needed to do the body and arms, and assemble it.
After I made the arms, I attached the legs and arms to the body. I use sewing pins for this part so that the body parts will not be misplaced.
Finished project
In this picture you can see the amigurumi keychain and the reference picture side by side.
I am quite happy with the outcome since I worked with a limited budget on mind and trying to make it worth it despite the tight budget.
My sister is satisfied with the amigurumi key chain I made. As of now, the keychain is displayed at a wall in our house because she has yet to pay for it. She is waiting for the money she lent to someone before she can pay the keychain.
Closing words
I am planning on making three other amigurumis for the other members of Blackpink. But it will have to wait for a bit.
Rest is importsnt after all, and I have been crocheting non stop for a few days now. So I want to rest my hands for a bit before I resume making other crochet project.
Although maybe I will postpone making amigurumi for other projects. Amigurumis are cute but they require a lot of patience and effort.
I wish people would understand why crocheters charge P100 per inch when selling amigurumis.
But you can always find crocheter who price their products lower than suggested prices. It is due to various reason but most of the times the crocheter feel that their price is the right amkunt for their effort and materials used.
Either way, it is important to remember that handmade products are more expensive than machine made because the amount of time and effort put into it is considerably more than making machine made items.

A Wanda-ful Project
This article was supposed to be published last night but I only got to writing the title then I was falling asleep already. Bless you, quetiapine for myaking me sleepy every night.
Anyway, I woke up earlier than I want to since the kittens need to eat. When that was done, I decided to get to writing this article.
As I shared in a noise.cash post and in my article yesterday, I was making an amigurumi for a best friend. I shared this picture:
I even asked the readers to guess which character I am making. Sadly, no one participated in my little game.
But the show must go on regardless.
Today, you probably know already which character I finished making yesterday. Especially if you are a fan of super heroes films.
Background
This character is someone I first encountered when me and my aprtner watched the Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. I am not quite sure if that is really the title and since it was not the whole point of the article, I am not searching for it and just winging this.
I will not share any plot here since there might be some of you who wants to watch that but has yet to find the time to do so.
Anyway, I am not really fond of watching movies. I only watch movies when someone invited me to.
Like in high school through college, it was one of my best friends who introduced me to good films.
And now, it is mostly my partner who introduce me to new movies during our virtual movie dates.
He introduced me to Dr. Strange, I think he was preparing me for the upcoming (back then) sequel of Dr. Strange's journey.
Enough of the back story. I met the character, and one of my best friends liked her. So when she saw the spiderman keychain I made, she said she would buy a Wanda or Dr. Strange one.
Making a Wanda Doll
I chose to make Wanda since I really want to play with making hairs for dolls. I will try to make a boy doll next time but for now I want to make long hairs.
Joining the legs
The first thing I did was make the limbs. I already shared what they look like when they are not yet joined.
In this picture, I joined the legs. I also included pink rows to match the outfit of Wanda.
Sewing the arms
Here I joined the arms with the rest of the body. My hands were shaky and aching at this point.
That is the struggle with using thin yarns such as this when making amigurumi, the tension needs to be tight so you really need to hole the yarn well. Unlike for bigger amigurumis with softer yarns, that process is mostly enjoyable compared to using thin and stiff yarns.
Sewing the top
Here you can see how I crocheted those cute top. It took me awhile since it was a bit difficult to insert my hooks on those tight stitches but I still managed to do so in the end.
Starting the head
This is the progress picture I made for my bestfriend. This is the first time I embroidered such nose on amigurumi since this is my first human like amigurumi. I really don't count Spiderman human like because of the eyes, and he needed no nose in the amigurumi.
Circle head plus ears
In this part, I finished off the head. And I also added some tiny ears. This is also my first time doing an ears and attaching it to amigurumi. I am glad that it looks okay.
Making the hair
Here comes my most awaited moment which is making the hair.
You know, when I see amigurumi dolls being posted in a crochet group, I always had a feeling of wanting to do that as well but I was hesitant. The reason was I did not trust myself to make a cute amigurumi so I always just end up putting it off.
But I still managed to make this crochet hair.
Pinning the hair
Here you can see what the hair looks like when it is pinned to the base body of the Wanda doll I am making. I feel so excited with how it looks because I think I did a pretty good job.
I also sewed the hair on while it is pinned so that I can ensure that it is in the right place as I was sewing it. You know, I struggled at first how to sew it but then I developed a sense of how to do it so I was able to sew it firmly.
Making the head gear
This one caused me a bit of worry since I was not sure how to do it at first but I still ended up doing it in an okay way.
I pinned it on the head and sew it on.
Progress report
I sent this once again to the buyer who is my best friend. It is so she can see how big the amigurumi is as of the moment and how much it will cost.
I am selling amigurumis like these for P100/inch. I actually ought to add more since this amigurumi has a lot of detauls but I agreed on P500 price since she is my best friend.
There is only one thing left and then this doll will be finished.
Making her cape
I was caught in a dilemma here since my red yarn was running out. I almost used a black yarn for bordering this cape but I checked her pictures again and it was a pure red cape so I did not want to include a black. In the end it still works out as you can see in the final product.
Final product front
This is what my Wanda doll looks like in front. I like how her ears are peeking out of the head gear.
Final product back
Here is our Wanda doll's back side. I really like how the cape completes her look. And those curls on her hair is cute for me.

Installing a Photo, and Video Editor
Last time I shared about my struggles as a tech noob installing applications I need. Well, I don't encounter such problems if I just need to install but if I need to crack it then it is a bit of a difficult task. https://read.cash/@ZehraSky/installing-autocad-2022-on-my-laptop-c0199a6e
In that article I shared about how easy it was for me to install AutoCAD. It is an application that I have been trying anf failing to install for months since the crack I have on my backup is not compatible with Windows 11. So it was a source of frustration.
But who knew that it would be that easy to install, right? I just needed to pay P30 for it and my life is solved.
Onto new digital files
I bought two other applications from the same store. I figured that since I was satisfied with my first order then I will most likely have the same experience with more order. https://s.lazada.com.ph/s.UVDGG
Moreover, I actually needed Photoshop since it was the application I used when making digital art on my laptop. When my laptop was reformatted, I was unable to continue making digital art since Krita does not do well with my dtawing tablet.
Good thing that I bought it since the product is now worth P99 compared to the P30 I bought it for. Although there will be a sale in the next day. So if you are planning to buy from this shop, remember that I bought these three applications for only P30-P33, if you see it for P99. If it is not urgent, you can wait for the next sale. P69 is a big thing to save after all, that could be used to buy 2 more applications like I did.
Installing Photoshop
I had a trouble at first with installing this application because I did not read the instructions clearly. I just scanned the instructions and click the link to download the files. But then there was actually two parts for installing Photoshop which is why I was having trouble.
When I downloaded both files, I put the in the same folder and I extracted them there. Then I followed the quick installation guide.
Here I am waiting for the installation to be completed. I was not nervous anymore since the seller already gained my trust.
After a few minutes, the installation is completed. It was time to test the application.
Here comes the trial part. I am not scared or nervous anymore since I have faith that it will work as expected.
As expected, it worked well. I am excited since I can now use my drawing tablet smoothly compared to when I use it with Krita. Although, I have yet to actually draw anything again because of reasons aka I have no energy nor motivation.
Installing Premiere Pro
The process pretty much went the same as with AutoCAD and Photoshop. It was much faster since I only need to download one file compared to Photoshop that has two parts to be downloaded.
I don't actually know how to use this so I just opened it and then closed it again when I saw that it opens with no problems.
Where to get yours?
You can get yours at Lazada at a shop called DigiPro Collections. The advice I can give is to wait for their sales since the items are worth it but I honestly will not want to pay P99 for each. After all, I got all three applications for only P93.
Keep that in mind when you browse their shop. I think they do flash sales when there is a whole platform sale like during Paydays, or same digits days such as the last 7.7 sale, etc.

A grateful heart
July is a blessed month for me and it is just only starting. I feel kind of shocked how many orders I have been receiving.
More than that, I am shocked that people seem to like the product they received. In this month, I have already received 10 orders. Amazing, right?
Today I want to share the orders I got from word of mouth, Facebook Marketplace, and Shopee.
School boy dog clothes
First order I finished this month is this crochet dog clothes for my sister's best friend's dog.
I used milk cotton for this project so that Beau (the dog) will not be irritated with the texture.
Ate C (the owner) requested the belly to be exposed since Beau gets frustrated when the clothes touches his belly.
I sold this for P300 only because I know her. If this is custom for strangers, I will probably sell it for P400 since it is a big size.
Kid's beanie
Next is a red beanie. It is another order of Ate C. She ordered this for her younger brother. I also used milk cotton for this one.
I sold this for only P200 since she is always supporting my business. I would sell this for P250 for babies and increase the price from there. If you have babies and wants to have some handmade item for them, you can always send me a message on my Facebook page, Sky Yarns.
Headset covers
Next are these 4 orders of headset covers. 3 of these are for my sister's coworkers. And the black and pink one is from a Shopee order.
These two headset covers are for my sister. She wanted new colors since she got tired of using the same ones she has been using.
Rainbow bandana
I also received another order for my raonbow bandana in Shopee. So far this is my most sold item in my shop on Shopee.
I was really excited since the notification for it is the first thing I saw when I woke up.
Today is actually the pick up day for this item.
Amigurumi keychain
Lastly I received an order for an amigurumi keychain. I am still not done although I am almost done with it.
The picture I attached here was taken last night when I started working on the project. I don't want to attach the finished product yet since I want it to be a surprise.
This is an order of one of my best friends which is why I am taking my time doing it. After all, I do not want her to be disappointed.
You can try guessing which character this amigurumi is based on. Maybe if you get it right, I will give some reward for the first one who gets it right.
Not yet sure order
A customer on Facebook marketplace sends a picture of the item he wants to get. I did my best to replicate it but I also added my own eelments to it.
There was some arguments and issues about free handing a designer's crochet project in the crochet community so I do not want to be a part of that drama.
Anyway, this customer already messaged me before and a time and date was set for meet up but when the day came, he went radio silent on me.
Then last night he messaged me. And he says he is placing an order for supposedly 5 of that combination headset covers, plus 5 solid colors. He wanted it to be sold fo P50 per set.
I turned that down real quick because the combination he wants use yarns and that is a custom order.
I agreed to let him have one of the sunflower combination for P50 per set since it looks like he wants to be a reseller so I would let him check the quality of the item.
But as I said, I m not yet sure since it looks like he wants to just get the sunflower combination one for P50 then he will get more in the future of he likes it.
If it turns out that he just wants to get one order of the sunflower combination, then I will decline since that design is something that is already cheap when priced at my P90 selling price.
I only agreed to bring it down to P50 under the assumption that he will get 10 headset covers.
If he also stops answering my chats now that I am done, I will probably block him. After all, this person is claiming he wants to resell but does not have the capital for it. How is he planning to pay for my products?
But I still prepared the items just in case.
*Update: As I was writing this article, the buyer replied to the image I sent and confirmed the total amount which is P500. So it is a deal. Tomorrow is when he will pick up the item. Yey, Ithis means that once I finished the migurumi keuchain, I would have enough for psychiatric consultation or 2 sessions of psychotherapy.*
P500 will be a great help to me since I have no money for therapy, and psychiatric consultations as of now. I am slowly saving up for it.

BCH is the only money I have left
Today, I bought the kittens to the vet again.
I knew it was going to be a bit pricy since I have two kittens getting the same things. So I did my best to prepare for it
Thankfully, crochet orders kept coming in and thus I was able to save some extra money for it. Moreover, I also bought some things that will change the game in taking care of the kittens.
Prearing the kittens
Of course, I started preparing myself first before the kittens. I did this to try and prepare all the items I need like money.
So I made a great decision today to bring all my cash with me. It was not a lot of money, it was only about P1,000. It was a combination of the money I lent to my sisters before plus the money I got from some crochet orders.
I also checked that I have data connection to access my GCash Wallet if I need some extra money. Little did I know that this is going to be important later.
Anyway, to prepare the kittens, I had them eat their breakfast first. I want them to be full so that when the vet gets their weights, they will be a considerable increase from before.
I also did this since in the last vet visits, the kittens ate breakfast before we went to the vet.
After that, I lightly cleanse them using a pet wet wipes. I did this since I was unable to bathe them because they had their anti-rabies vaccine last vet visit.
Then after that, I put the kittens in their carrier. I am using the large one since they already outgrew the small one. I feel like I actually need to buy another carrier of this size since they are growing up so fast. The only problem with that would be how the heck I would carry two bags at the same time.
The moment of truth
When we got to the vet clinic, there were already cuties there in line. They were also there for vaccination. I think the vet mentioned they were getting a 5-in-1 vaccine.
The kittens are there for their first shot of 4-in-1 vaccine. Don't ask me what it is for though, because I don't know.
All I know was that I went to the vet clinic sure that the cash I have on hand (P1000) would probably be more than what I needed. I was even thinking about when I should schedule my therapy because I finally managed to save enough for another session.
But then the vey delivered a news that shattered my daydream. He said that each shot would cost P800.
I felt the urge to just get the kittens and just turn back since they already had their anti-rabies vaccine but I know that the kittens would benefit from getting complete vaccinations.
So I just asked if the vet accepts GCash payment. Good thing that he did since I have limited cash on hand. I was almost tempted to ask if the clinic offers a PWD discount for PWD pet owners.
Thankfully, I did not need to do that. The vet offered a P50 discount for each kitten. So instead of P1600, I only needed to ay P1500.
Although to be honest I felt a bit lightheaded when the kittens were being weighed. The price for this vet visit really shocked me and went beyond my expectations. I thought the last vet visit would be the worse (I paid P900 for both kittens for a deworm and anti-rabies vaccine).
Sigh
The things we do for our pets. I know that some pet owners do not bring their pets to the vet but I prpmised myself that if I become a pet owner, I will be a responsible one. And part of that responsibility is making sure their vaccinations and deworms are up to date. So even if it hurts my pockets, I will continue to bring them to expensive trips like this vet visit.
BCH is my only hope
As of now most of my money is because I have BCH. I have yet to convert any BCH since last May.
I am not tempted to convert any of it with the market situation as it is. But if some unexpected things happen then I am thankful that I have BCH as a back up.
Once again, BCH comes to my rescue. I feel a bit relieved that I still have funds I can touch when needed.
Right now though, I will be waiting for the payments for crochet orders so that I will have a bit of money to spend for my snacks.
Closing words
I have lost count how many times BCH has saved me. I just feel so thankful that I stumbled upon this site to introduce me to this wonderful opportunity.
Anyway, I am tempted to say I am broke but I still have BCH so it would not be a full truth. Maybe the right thing to say is that I am cashless? Or fiatless? Whatever it is called it is still me not having money to spend.
