It adds up
First of July was kind to me.
I woke up feeling down and super tired but I still managed to complete my daily exercise. After lunch, I also managed to study for an hour about some concepts for my program.
I am starting to refamiliarize myself with old concepts before the new academic year starts. Of course, I know that I will not be able to cram everything we tackled for three years but I want to remember the things that are still needed.
These include process control, as well as reading P&ID. Computation is a scary part of an engineering course but according to the engineers I know of, most computations on the job will be left for the computers to deal with.
Baby steps still take me to where I want to go
An hour of studying might not seem much but it is opening up doors for me to learn. This short time I allot to myself is an investment for the future.
One hour is not much but 30 hours of study to prepare for the opening of classes are a considerable amount of time.
Plus, I believe that consistency is the key.
After all, I have tried studying for long hours but I end up not remembering anything after a test.
So being consistent is the way for me to go.
On money matters
The same also applies for money.
A peso might not be much but without it I will not be able to buy a lot of things. After all, no one wants to miss out on a peso in a business.
One thing I learned with handling my money is that I have to let it flow. By this I mean, I need to set aside the money I need for my various investments and slowly grow it. Instead of spending every peso I have.
Crochet business
As I have shared in my previous articles, I have a crochet business. I started it last year but due to the challenge of handling it, I stopped it.
The first problem I encountered is that I spent all the money I get from selling crochet projects. Thus, my initial investment ran out and I stopped paying attention to it.
Today I bought three red yarns for an order.
I am not sure if all three yarns will be used. I am actually quite confident to say that three yarns are more than what I need. But I learned that it is better to have excess yarns to have less yarns than needed.
Why?
Because the color of the yarns changes depending on its batch. So I can order the same shade of yarn but when I get it, it might not be the exact shade of the ones I ordered before. So it is better to have more than less.
I started working on the beanie a customer ordered last night. Here you can see me eating my "midnight" snack.
I have started to bring some food in my room because I get so hungry after drinking my medication. I try to stop myself but the feeling so not fun to deal with.
Did you ever have a moment when you skipped a meal and you feel so weak and hungry after hours of ignorin meal time?
That is the same kind of hunger I feel even though I just ate dinner before drinking medication.
If I drink my medication before dinner, I still don't feel good. I feel like puking my insides so I just learned to eat a light dinner before meds and a light snack after drinking medication.
Going back to the crochet order
Unfortunately, I made a mistake in the stitch I used last night so I had to frog it when I woke up.
This yarn noodles were my breakfast earlier.
I am halfway done with the crochet project I am making. I am excited with the outcome of this one since I really put in an effort to make it.
Closing words
I received an order for my headset covers again. This time it is for a random two toned headset covers. The customer decided that they will take it on Monday.
I feel happy about it since I am starting to get orders from strangers.
Also, I am excited for the future since I joined a group which has a goal of doing fundraisers for donations via selling of crochet items. I am happy to be a part of a group that has such good motive to help others.
