It Wasn't Free At All
We are all free to dream anything we want, as expressed in the well-known Filipino saying ***"Libre lang mangarap."*** but does it really free?
A dream is a series of goals that a person aspires to attain in the future. We were taught as a child to dream big since it's free, but I think that advice is flawed. A dream is a big word with a lot of implications and obligations, in my personal perspective, as I deduce from my experiences.
Although expressing my ideas may come across as negative, I still felt the need to do so. We don't dream just to leave this dream as it is; rather, we dream to create things. We don't just dream; rather, we build dreams. This is a sad fact because in the process of building our dreams, we have to sacrifice many things and we experience many failures. This is one of the reasons why I disagree with the idea that ***"it's free to dream."*** When we don't get what we want on the first try, the common thing that everyone experiences is disappointment in ourselves. This involves a battle of tenacity; if you have the courage to take a risk, you have a lot of opportunities ahead of you despite knowing the fact that you only have a half of chance to succeed, but if you are afraid to take a risk from then on, you will immediately find yourself giving up on achieving your dreams experiencing failure.
I believe it is better for kids to learn early on that failing at something is acceptable than always counting success. A child who is encouraged to keep track of their accomplishments feels pressured to constantly be the best because failing to do so would leave them feeling deeply disappointed in themselves which can lead to affect their character in the future when it comes to achieving their own sets of dream in life. Once a child was taught to accept failures and embrace their own flaws it would be easier for them to carry out the responsibility of achieving their dream as they wouldn't be afraid of failing.
Dreaming big is like taking out a loan from a bank using a commodity since we have to pay interest on top of the cost of the ambition as well. Since you have to wager, it is more ***"harsh to dream"*** for me, yet the gamble is tempting, right? Entrepreneurs are renowned for being risk-takers in all aspects of their lives. Therefore, if we dreamers want to accomplish something significant in our lives, we must learn to take risks and count failures as it also equivalent to experience. Rather than simply abandoning a goal as it is, take action and carry out the duty that we set out to complete.

A Sudden News
First and foremost I'd like to express my apologies if this article wouldn't be written in consistent English, it's just I'm more comfortable sharing my thoughts this way.
I'm just a having my normal morning routine, just a plain black coffee while reading some articles here on read as I was also on my duty sa tindahan namin. Hindi pa rin kasi pwede si nanay na mapagod masyado since bagong opera ang mga mata n'ya. Maraming restrictions and such kaya naman ako muna ang nandito sa tindahan. I'm having my normal morning bilang isang tindera ng biglang pumunta dito sa tindahan ang kapitbahay namin na si Ate Pitchi. She rushly shared this ***"chika"*** of her na kakasagap lang daw nya, well actually this weren't the tipikal na chika ng mga marites na tungkol sa buhay ng ibang tao. We were saddened by the news that she brough to us, she said that there's this rumor going on early this morning that one of our neighbhor past away aready. I'm not that close to that person but I still feel sad for her family that she left in this world.
This sad news hugely affects my mood, yung pakiramdam na deep inside of you there's this sadness na hindi mo maintindihan kung bakit mo nararamdaman in the first place. I know that we cannot change the fact that we humans exist to live and die in this world. We were given a chance by our Almighty God to live to the fullest of the life that we desired but this life that He gave us must live on the right path to be able to succeed in achieving the right to enter His Kingdom on the eternal life.
This got me thinking, do I live in a way that God wants me to be? Am I on the right path? There are so many that if's happening on my mind right now. Hindi ko alam kung hanggang kailan ako dito sa mundo as well as those na malapit sa puso ko. Ang daming flashbacks na nangyayari ngayon sa aking utak, yung guilt, regrets and even the disappoinments that I experience this past few years ay muli ulit kumakatok sa akin. Al of these cannot be retrace to set it all rights, the only thing that I have now is the present were offer various of choices on different paths, sana lang nasa tama ang mga desisyon ko.
Indeed we only live once, and that one opportunity was given to us to take failures as well as use these failures to grow and be a man of value.

Family Reunion
Our parents came from a large family, especially on my mother's side they have so many siblings. To think that thirteen children were cared for back then by my ***abuelo*** *(grandfather)* and ***abuela*** *(grandma)*. Their descendants have grown to be larger than they are now from thirteen siblings.
Bias will unavoidably exist when discussing our parents' respective sides of the family. I used to enjoy spending time with my father's side of the family, but that was back when; I'll explain why I dislike them now in a few days. Even though there are a lot of relatives on my mother's side, I now value them more and prefer to interact with them, especially at family gatherings. This is because it is more fun to be with them and they are also good to get along with.
My mother came from a very poor family, she was the ninth child out of thirteen siblings. It's been a while since my mother's side of the family held a gathering. To allow the siblings to once again enjoy a straightforward bonding experience with their family, a family reunion was planned for early this year. We were able to hold the celebration during the prolonged planning period, but there was some conflict among my mother's siblings because one of my aunts and even her family did not attend the event due to a misunderstanding. I'm not sure why exactly they decided not to attend the family reunion, but it was very upsetting for all of us. Despite this, we made an effort to continue the celebration without them because everyone was organized for it.
Despite the issues between the siblings, everyone was content and especially the kids enjoyed our simple reunion of our large family. I guess my nephew who rarely gets out of the house also made the most of it as from the beginning to the end of the program we couldn't bother him with his dancing and participation in the games.
I just hope that we will be able to finish it the next time my mother's family gets together because it is still more pleasant when everyone is present and getting along.

Lunches On My Duty
I'm the kind of person who enjoys bringing lunches.
Strangely, there are many recipe videos of meals that are recommended for those who pack lunches in my social media news feeds.
I believe that packing a lunch is quite practical given that eating home-cooked meals still makes it more enjoyable. I won't be shocked if many people remark that I enjoy eating because I'm good at it because I love to cook and I admire my cooking; the reason for this is that I genuinely appreciate the food that I prepare or that is provided to me. Being able to eat something and not being a picky eater makes me feel very grateful.
As we're on the subject of lunchboxes, allow me to share a few of the meals I brought for work at SPES. Since they are so entertaining to look at, I don't miss taking pictures of them. I've always wanted to try one of that Japanese-style bento's, where the food is presented in a visually appealing fashion with patterns on it, soon enough I'd try making them and of course along with their Japanese meal recipe.
Here are some of my packed s lunch;
Doesn't t looks appetizing? All the meals that you could see here were all prepared with love. I used to put a lot of effort when it comes to food even if I'm the only one who will eat it. These are all tasty and easy to prepare.
There's a lot more than that But it would take forever if I share all of it haha.
Starting from the upper right corner it was a breaded deep-fried chicken liver with fried potatoes, chicken liver adobo with a slice of pan sirred eggplant, Potato Marble in Cream sauce top with cheese, Fried Carabao Liver with Hashbrown, on the other side its also a Hashbrown I just didn't form it on an oval shape as I melted cheese on it while I was stir frying it and I paired it with a slice of ham, Pork Tocino with slice tomatoes, soy and honey chicken fillet with fresh cabbage, and lastly the Corned beef with fresh cabbage with it. Some of it was obviously processed food which is why I never forget to add some veggies to it, just to ensure that I still provide my body with enough nutrients.
Even if the place I reside is close to the campus, if the classes resume in person, I will still opt to bring my own lunch because I can save more money this way and the extra money from my allowance can be utilized for other items I need more for my studies.

Transferring From Tourism to Comelec Office
It is inevitable that there will be challenging circumstances that will alter the direction of what we want to pursue when we are truly at the pinnacle of the part of our lives that we enjoy doing. The hardest part of saying goodbye is when you meet people in your workplace and you are deprived of the opportunity to make the most of your time to get to know them better. We are starting to learn and we have already adopted those around us in our workplace. But it is inevitable that unexpected events will suddenly emerge.
To re-endorse the new office we will be moving to, PESO called us once more. There was an unexpected emergency because Comelec is currently helping people register while short-staffed, so they asked for more people who can assist them as office clerks in their office. I am one of the SPES beneficiaries who had to leave the Tourism office and who moved to the Comelec office. It is very innovative because from field tourism-related work we need to assist and talk to people in the Comelec. Being assigned to this office presents a significant challenge for me because there are so many people who must register within the allotted time that it is inevitable that we will run into some applicants who are irate and we need to calm them down.
Since our working hours begin at 8, I usually arrive at the office at 7:30 in the morning, but earlier that day I made an extra effort to be on time. When I arrived at 7 o'clock, there were many people waiting to register. My supervisor's estimate of the number of people in the queue was also low; in addition to the vulnerable individuals (PWDs, senior citizens, and pregnant women) who must be given priority, we were supposed to help 130 people daily. We received a number of complaints from applicants who weren't fortunate enough to get a slot for today as soon as the morning arrived. Here, we have actually been cursed by those who are just trying to help us. Although we were moving too quickly to properly complete their forms, we all made an effort to remain as calm as we could.
Time was passing by so quickly that we were about to leave for work again when we realized it was already afternoon. To further expedite the processing of the applicants' documents, we had the experience of eating while conversing with them. Terrifying, stressful, and incredibly difficult. I will do everything in my power to learn as much as I can about human accommodations and effective interpersonal communication during the next two weeks that we will be in the Comelec.

In the contract that we signed with PESO as SPES beneficiaries, we were originally assigned to the tourism office to be office clerks for twenty consecutive days. For these last two weeks, we enjoyed being in the tourism office despite the wonders I shared in my previous article, "The Man That I Can't See". The staff at the tourism office were friendly and loud, so we enjoyed being around them. Since they welcomed us into their office with open arms, the staff members there never once made us feel intimidated. There is almost no paperwork; the best part is that they get to decide which ones to include in their tour or any other travel involving tourism. Another thing I liked and keeps me coming to this summer job every day is anticipating the lessons I'll learn from Sir Kean, one of our supervisors who works as a videographer and tourism editor, and Sir Nico, a graphic designer. I mustered up all of my courage and inquired about their line of work because I was very interested in it, and when they saw that, they allowed me to show them what to do. They enjoyed watching some of the videos I had personally produced and edited because they shared my enthusiasm for the media, which I could also demonstrate to them.
On the other hand, they praised one of my creations, saying they liked the concept and the overall video editing. Sir said that I made some videos that needed significant improvement. The fact that sir gave me the editing challenge made me very happy as well because they wanted to see how I would use what they had taught me. Finding coworkers who share my passion and interests is such a sweet feeling. Big ups to my huge interest in media, I have been able to learn more from experts in the field.
The only issue is that just as I was beginning to feel more motivated to attend the tourism office every day, we were abruptly forced to move to the other office of the **COMELEC** due to an emergency.

See You In 2026
We all grew up having a childhood bestfriend from our neighborhood, we used to play with them form morning until night and shared unforgettable moments with them as a kid.

Meet my friend, her name is Chamer and we grow up in the very same neighborhood, even though we went to a different school in grade school we still hang out and chitchat about some random things. Soon after we entered junior high school she enrolled in our school and we became classmates, we even had a fight before but it was all in the past and I guess it's normal for friends to go through fights. Soon after we completed junior high school we from our class sections as well as my friends transferred from different schools. I attended the renowned public school in our city and had a great experience there as well, while Chamer flew over to Mindanao to continue her studies there. We were from the Province of Quezon, so traveling from here to there was too far and quite expensive.
In Mindanao, she continued her college studies as well. Although we haven't spoken in a while, we are still friends. She wasn't forced to return to our province until the year 2020, when the pandemic started, in order to reduce her living expenses and spend more time with the family she had left behind. It's time for her to head back to Mindanao after our enjoyable get-togethers here with our old friends since they'll be taking face-to-face classes yet again in the upcoming academic year.
We made the decision to prepare her for the ***"despedida",*** the party held to bid someone farewell who is departing. We have a simple party on the river, which is a ton of fun and exhausting.
Since our destination was quite a distance away from where we were staying, we first hiked there. The rainy, muddy, and slippery road presented a challenge for us. But the difficult walk we endured was compensated by a stunning view of the river. This summer, the cold water is particularly refreshing. We also left the river right away at 2:30 in the afternoon because Chamer still needed to finish packing before departing from here for Mindanao the following day. The following day, he sent me a text to express his gratitude for the straightforward celebration we organized for him and the chocolate brownies I gave him. We'll talk again in 2026.

The Man That I Can't See
Our existence in this world comes to a close when we pass away, but this does not mean that our spiritual existence is lost and gone to it eternally. There is this afterlife that we believe to exist; it is the world inhabited by those who have passed away. Our eyes cannot see this world, but then few have been granted the ability to see the souls of the deceased.

We've been working as office assistants in the city tourism office for a week now. The regular staff members are all approachable and friendly, and they include us in their tours to promote particular hotels or restaurants in our community, which makes working there a lot of fun. But despite this delightful workplace, there is a disturbing story about it.
It was just a normal day in the office and everyone was busy with her paperwork. Then it all started when the water dispenser in our office ran out, I'm about to fill my tumbler with water when I noticed that it was empty so I asked sir Kean my supervisor if he could lift the container to refill the water of our water dispenser. I was standing near beside sir Kean while he was busy changing the water container when he suddenly turned to my side and seemed to be holding something. He kept waving his hand as if trying to gauge its height, which naturally confused me. I took a step back from him, and he then said, ***"someone was with us, someone was standing here,"*** pointing to the area where he had been earlier nervously glancing.
I was about to laugh when he abruptly said that he wasn't joking and added that he could feel the presence of the three spirits in the office. I froze in my position, sir Kean continuously talks about how he have this gift where he can feel the souls of the deceased at this wasn't the first time that he feel someone's presences aside from us in the office.

During the Japanese colonization, the site where Casa Comunidad now stands was a former hospital. It has been claimed that there are frequently children playing here who we are unable to see. It has also been claimed that people in the area have reported hearing the bizarre sound of chains colliding as though they were being pulled.
Ms. Rose one of the OJT's we have here stated that based on her experience during her first day in the office, the office's electric fan started up unexpectedly even though no one had come in to turn it on.
Even continuing to utilize the comfort room gives me the chills just thinking about it. My former instructor once told us not to be terrified of the dead, but rather to be more afraid of the living. I silently chant, "Don't be fear, God is here," to prevent myself from being consumed by my own anxiety. This gives me the courage to face my fears.

We have explanations for why we will keep working toward our objectives in life. Of course, in addition to our long-term objectives in life, such as achieving financial security, we also aspire to provide for our families to the best of our abilities while pursuing our professional goals.
We establish reasonable objectives for each step as we advance in order to achieve our high ambitions. We set objectives that we must complete this year, this month, or even in a day. My diet journey and being accepted into SPES are two things I've shared here that I've successfully accomplished. I'm a goal-getter, but I can also be too inconsistent and lazy. Naturally, It is inevitable that throughout the process, I will experience anxiety and the feeling that what I am doing is no longer worthwhile. Shopping For Myself
Giving myself the opportunity to shop at Shopee or any other online store as a reward for an achievement I was able to attain is one of my treats to myself. Similar to recently, it is also reasonable that 7.7 sales were made at the shop, and I need clothes to serve as my office uniform since we are required to wear the designated colors on the appropriate days. So as a reward myself, I bought some blouses and chamoy-flavored gummy candies, now I just needed to wait for its arrival.
Dine Out
I frequently experience a craving for the fast-food restaurant when I am out, especially if Jollibee is aware of the Jollibee branch nearby so I can continue to avoid unforeseen costs. However, for me, one of the best rewards is to indulge in my favorite chicken joy or to eat in Tokyo. Eating at these two establishments is so worthwhile, especially if I've made real progress.
Cook for them
One of my passions is cooking and I'm so pleased when someone cooks food for me especially if my family likes what I cook for them. Cooking allows me to expel the adrenaline, joy, and satisfaction that I have poured into it. Even though I know I have the accomplishment I always wanted to share with my family the reward that I would be taking so I wanted to cook them baked goods or any home-cooked dishes.
Watch and Sleep
These are just a few examples of the rewards I give myself to boost my motivation in life. It's crucial that we also treat ourselves to what we want as a reward. We don't have to spoil ourselves, but I'm saying that for every success, we should at least acknowledge our own abilities by giving ourselves what we want as a reward.

My love for cooking
*My life has been greatly influenced by cooking, which is also my long-term goal and passion. Due to the love of cooking that my father and grandmother share, I began cooking at a young age. I used to experiment with food when I was younger, and since there was little internet access back then, I relied heavily on books. Since I typically only use alternative recipes, I used what was only available in our home. My parents used to give me side comments and criticism on my cooking and I'm glad to say that now, thanks to the assistance of the internet, I'm able to cook great foods because there are frequently more mistakes than good food.*
I am somewhere between introvert and extrovert
*Even though I'm sociable, have lots of friends, and am approachable, there are times when I choose to withdraw from those around me. I love filming

I find myself amusing myself too much in the videos I watch, and I think it's a pretty wonderful hobby to have because it allows me to record lovely moments in time that I can keep and repeat.*
A coffee addict
*Everyone enjoys coffee, right? I already cannot go a day without coffee as it is a part of who I am. I usually start my day with a cup of black coffee and lemon because, according to a video I watched on YouTube, doing so would help us to stifle our cravings. This is relevant to me because I also need to keep track of my calories and don't want to eat too much at first. As I mentioned earlier, I'm a coffee addict. I don't mind-heart palpitations; my heart is afraid of me, just kidding. Coffee just relieves my stress and helps me unwind, so I also drink it.*
Too talkative
*To tell you honestly I have bursting energy with me even though I don't look like that but I'm a very hyper person. I always have a lot of stories and I can talk to anyone right away, whether young or old, as long as I can talk, I can talk. I was also good at memorizing the details of what was said, I could deliver a message verbally about how it was told to me as well as remember birthdays yet I couldn't apply this memorization skill of mine in academics.*

July 4th, Big Day
Our coordinator, Sir Patrick, made an announcement about our first day today the day before yesterday. For the deployment, we depart from Casa Commudidad at 7:30 in the morning.

Since I was a first-time SPES and live quite a distance from the municipal town, I actually got up early since I was so excited. I still feel a little dizzy because we went out to dinner last night and I don't get nearly enough sleep. We got into a boodle fight in response to a request from a friend of ours who was also about to leave the province in order to go to Mindanao and continue his studies there, and also believe during this summer vacation of ours we would become busy in our respective lives.
Our typical hangouts involve watching a ton of movies or making the food we want to eat, then just chatting while we devour it. This style of nightlife is our way to unwind from academic stress.
Returning to the story of my special day, we arrived at Casa Communidad, and shortly after 7:30, the identification cards, endorsement forms, and contract were distributed. Since the deployment of Beneficiaries assigned to remote areas was given priority, I have been in the hall for some time. My friends were assigned to the barangay, whereas I was assigned to the municipal office, so I knew right away that I would not be able to be with them.
I'm anxious, but that anxiety is just excitement over making a new friend. We were soon directed to the city's tourism office. I had the opportunity to meet SPES beneficiaries April and Cyra, there are actually four of us SPES in our department but unfortunately, Kristine hasn't been there since she has an entrance exam. Twenty-two additional students are also present in the office for their OJT at this time. I suppose I should look forward to tomorrow since I'll be the only person left in the office since April and Cyra are assigned to assist in the tour that our supervisors will conduct as we haven't done much work other than decimating invitations to different offices.
Sir Kean, one of our supervisors, shared with us stories about office work in addition to teaching us various editing techniques for photos and videos and the fundamentals of taking photos, it's like we're getting a free workshop earlier. Since I worked as a photojournalist during my junior year of college, I do have some familiarity with this, but I'm still in awe of those who are more knowledgeable in this area.
Actually, I'm writing this article while getting ready for tomorrow; I just can't bear to wait to publish one before going to bed because I'm so eager to share my experience with everyone.

It might be irritating to mention my SPES qualification repeatedly here. I simply can't help but be excited about the upcoming Fourth of July. I couldn't help but daydream earlier today while I was in the store. I'm imagining myself assisting my seniors as I was getting a story from their experiences in their job. Yesterday they finally released the list of the designated area that we were put into, and I am glad that I made it into the tourism office, I'm so excited about tomorrow's deployment.

Back when I was in my senior high school, during our work immersion I was appointed to the finance office of Philhealth. I was under sir Ace's supervision, he was such a great man. At the very first time they introduced me to Sir Ace I never felt any intimidation towards him, I felt like I was so uplifted and motivated to improve the things he would ask me to do then. During my two weeks in the Philhealth office, I really enjoyed the minimal work assigned by sir Ace, it's more on sorting documents and it's also fun because sometimes he presents me to the client. Isn't it cute how Sir Ace repeatedly instructed our client to "say hello to our assistant here, Ms. Gela". In addition, he gave me some chocolates and a phone stand on my birthday, which happened to fall during the work immersion. The benefits our supervisor gave me were an unforgettable experience as they also made me feel incredibly special, and I have never forgotten to this day, how I missed those people in the office.
I ordered myself a watch, and to tell you honestly I don't usually wear a watch since I have my cellphone with me all the time, but I don't think I can always rely on my cellphone during working hours. I decided to go with this one that I found on Zalora, and I just received it today.
Additionally, I purchased a second watch because I intend to wear this one for daily use and the first one only when I'm traveling or for any casual occasions.

We had the impression that we would also be one of the universities offering face-to-face instruction the following academic year. All of my classmates, the majority of whom I haven't personally met, I knew by name. The only people I am familiar with are my fellow students who live in the same town as me; aside from them, I don't have any connections. I'm also not the kind of person who prefers to communicate primarily over the phone.

Even though we've been in the same section for two years, I occasionally isolate myself just to read or watch an anime so I won't wonder why I still get along with some of my classmates.
We were informed of our body measurements in the middle of our midterms, and we were also charged for the uniform we wore. Our government representatives informed us recently that our uniforms would soon be available. So that we could also get to know one another personally, we classmates decided to set a date for picking up our uniforms.
On that day, I hoped that many people would pass by so I could finally make friends with them. The day passed, and we met as scheduled. Even though we weren't in all of the classes, it was still enjoyable because we ran into each other. We decided to eat lunch together so that we could take a class picture while wearing our uniforms because it was so busy at that time of day. I was even more invited to face-to-face classes as a result of the enjoyable day we had, during which we didn't even notice the passing of time due to the storytelling. I hope we can physically enter the following academic year.

I am keenly aware of myself, I am not saying that I can completely define myself on how I interact with others, I still have a lot to explore about my capabilities and knowledge but somehow in terms of my emotions, I can say that I know myself too well.
Anger is an emotion that is formed for various reasons. In daily life we all experience stress and often it is also the source of our Anger. We become silent, sulk in a corner, or try to procrastinate just to pretend that everything is fine. We try to hide the anger we feel. There are also people who inevitably curse and rant vocally because of the frustration they feel.

According to an article I read in the American Psychological Association, anger can also be beneficial because it allows a person to let go of their negative emotions, leaving them with no choice but to seek a solution. to solve the issue that is making them frustrated. They also reasoned against letting your anger get out of control because it could negatively impact those around you and lead to other issues.
I am one of those people who often complain when I was under frustrated, lately, I have noticed that I often just I've on a situation where I lecture my sister for no reason. Everything they do irritates me, that's why my mom often scolds me since she says she criticizes my sister even though she doesn't do anything wrong. Then, after receiving feedback from my mother, I felt as if I had been cursed and came to my senses. I was astounded when I suddenly felt less irritated, but I still felt terrible about what I had done to make my sister unhappy or annoyed.

Then suddenly I came to the realization that I always vent my anger verbally on someone whenever I am feeling frustrated. I don't want the people around me, especially my family, to be negatively affected by how I'm feeling, but sometimes I can't help but rant out of the blue that is why sometimes I just choose to lock myself in a room, build a wall around everyone, stop talking to them, and just disconnect from them for a moment.
It's really hard to deal with frustrations and I know that the way I was on dealing with it was a bit unhealthy. I am aware that this one is a part of my flaws and all of us have it when we get angry. We face struggles in life where we are the only ones who can aid ourselves and come up with solutions to our problems. Then again, we should always be reminded to consider our words before speaking to people around us, especially when we are angry because we cannot take back the words that have already been spoken.

Hairstyle Exploration
I've just realized that these past few days I have been sharing my explorations related to the foods I love and my diet journey, so I guess this article would make this three in a row. It's already obvious that I enjoy pushing myself doing this that thrills me, hehe. I've been thinking since I've already talked about my diet journey and food preferences, why not also talk about my hairstyle?

I don't need to comb my naturally shiny, smooth, and straight hair since it looks just as stunning as if it had been rebounded. But having straight hair was pretty boring for me because it was so thin, flat, and without any volume. I've always thought it would be cooler and sexier to have curly hair with a lot of volumes.
Since my parents have never taken me to get a haircut in a barber shop, I've always had a straight haircut like a typical Filipino kid, sometimes with bangs and other times without as it's just my mom who cuts my hair. Of course, at the same time growing up we became self-conscious as well as this desire to try something new. Since I had been wanting to curl my hair, I seized the opportunity provided by the pandemic to visit my neighbor that does a hairstyle service in her home.
I was pretty much excited at first since it was a dream come true for me to have curly hair. I was initially quite attractive, but after a few days, my hair's texture changed and, despite using a curling cream, it was straight again.
I decided to cut them off because I was unhappy with the outcome of the first hairstyle I tried, but I left a 2-inch part of my curly hair in order to have this new hair look.
Going to a salon was pretty addicting, I wasn't satisfied with my hairstyle yet so after a few weeks, I cut my hair again, a pixie haircut. It became shorter and shorter.
And finally, after gathering all of my courage, I got myself a much shorter version of a pixie hair cut and this one was my favorite its like more of a boy cut versions.
It's a great experience to explore various hairstyles, and right now I'm still growing my hair in preparation for the wolf cut, I really wanted to try it. I also realized how fortunate I was to have straight hair, I was finally able to appreciate how versatile it was for any style.

Reunited With The Boys Of Our Life
We probably last had a complete friend gathering in December of last year. Since we were in senior high school, we have grown close. Actually, it was literally an unexpected friendship because we didn't know each other not until we met in grade 12 which was obviously our last year in high school, with just a snap of a hand we had grown close to each other.

I prefer packing my own lunch meal since it allows me to prepare the food I want while also saving money. It serves as a sort of incentive for me to work hard every day in school. I usually came with them whenever they eat the only difference is that they dine in the canteen or the ***karenderia (a diner that offers homecooked food)*** outside the campus to eat lunch which is typically costly unlike me that I don't have to spend during lunch because I bring my own meal.
Eventually, they adopted my habit of packing a lunch for school. We all came from different sections, but every lunch break we gathered in my classroom just to eat together and bond at the same time. By doing so, we maintain our bonds with one another while also enjoying eating more. We enjoy hanging out as any other young person would, but unlike some others, we don't indulge in alcoholic beverages or what we called ***Walwal***. Instead, we prefer to be as simple as possible. During our hang-out session, we typically gather together to cook and eat foods that we crave then talk about life and problems or simply play guitars and sing along with them.
We're all in college now, and as you might expect, we take a different course to pursue as well as enrolled in different choices of universities. As a result of this, we are unable to fully meet in-person to bond.
A few days ago, a message from one of our friends reactivated our group message on the messenger. It was his 21st birthday, and he invited us. We took advantage of the chance to attend too his party since we hadn't seen each other in a while. As usual, there was a birthday dinner with drinking and lots of catching up. It's funny that after all these years nothing has changed in our friendship, and hopefully until we get older our friendship stays as strong as it is now. That night was the best night I could describe as one of my unforgettable moments with them.

65 to 54 My Diet Journey
My ***balik alindog program*** has been running for a year (diet journey). I began putting on weight during my senior year of high school, and I put on a lot more weight when the pandemic began. I suppose it's because of the anxiety and boredom that come with quarantine. I weighed 65 kg at my heaviest. Although it's still appropriate for my height, the way it fits my body isn't ideal because I quickly started to feel tired and dizzy.
I was also finding it difficult to concentrate on my tasks, and I developed an addiction to soft drinks and junk food while binge-watching all night, which is a very unhealthy way of life. I wasn't bothered by how I looked; it was just that everyone around me kept harping on the need for me to go on a diet—even my mother nags me to stop overindulging. Since I'm content with my body and live an unhealthy lifestyle, I don't really intend to pay attention to what they have to say.

One of my friends once questioned why I didn't think about starting a diet. Of course, I'm aware that I can slim down my body once more. I tell them that I was simply not in the mood to think about the idea because it would be delicious to eat. Naturally, I respond to them with pride, but after a while, they challenge me, saying that if I could lose some weight, they would treat me to anything I wanted for the day. Of course, that challenge would inspire anyone, so I agreed to it. We agreed that if I reached 55 kg or less in 4 months, I would win, and if not, I would be responsible for paying them in cash. I actually like the idea, so as soon as the challenge was over, I started exercising and doing intermittent fasting every day. I'm in the final week of my fourth month of the challenge, but I'm giving up because my niece's birthday is coming up and I've been assigned to prepare the food, and I don't think I could manage 55 kg.
They agreed to end the challenge because I also don't want to spend a lot of money, but after my nephew's birthday and baptismal, I tried to weigh myself, and guess what? I'm 54.7 kg. I'm overwhelmed and, of course, I regret giving up on the challenge, but I'm glad I was able to complete it.
I had hoped to maintain that weight, but a lot of things have happened since then, and I'm back to my previous weight of 58 kg. And I need to lose my baby weight once more. Even though I'm not particularly overweight, I wanted to keep myself in good physical shape and avoid buying new clothes. Since I've started a 20:4 intermittent fast, I'm not as strict with myself as I once was and occasionally allow myself to eat when I'm craving something. I wish you luck in helping me reach my desired weight before we meet.

Adventure of Flavors
I love trying out new foods not just from my country but also from different parts of the world.
My passion for anime and manga has inspired me to become a Japanese food fanatic. I was able to try some of it because of globalization, despite the fact that some food and beverage products were made in the Philippines. Well, I know that some of the flavors I get from the food I tried may be a poor imitation of the authentic, but I was still excited to try it. Takoyaki, Sushi, Mochi, and Ramen are the most familiar foods to me, and I usually order them at restaurants that serve them, such as Tokyo-Tokyo. But my curiosity doesn't stop there; it takes over and I've been purchasing products like these online.

It's the candy featured in Studio Ghibli's Grave of the Fireflies; this one cost me nearly 200 pesos; I know it's expensive for just candy, but the satisfaction of having it was unforgettable for me. It was a fruit-flavored candy that was no different from the candy we have here in the Philippines; what makes it so valuable to me is that it feels like I am already experiencing the excitement of a little Setsuko for having that candy in the movie.
I also purchase natto, which is currently on-trend for those people on Tiktok. According to Michael Shimizu, a half-Filipino, half-Japanese Tiktok influencer who I followed, this soy fermented bean is healthy and although it may taste a bit bitter to those who are used to eating it, they claim to love it, those who are not used to it would undoubtedly find it unpleasant. It comes in a set of three and cost me about 100 pesos. Despite Shimizu senpai's admonition, I still buy it and I'm eager to give it a try. I merrily tried it with rice as soon as I got my package, and to be completely honest, I totally regret it. It doesn't taste good, has a slimy texture, is bitter, and leaves a strong aftertaste in your mouth. Senpai was correct. Even though I don't particularly enjoy the taste, I must force myself to finish the remaining natto because throwing it away would be a waste. Even after trying to flavor it with soy sauce, I still wasn't pleased with the way it tasted but thankfully I was able to finish all those three natto.
It's quite a hassle if you've ever purchased food you didn't like, but I'm still pleased to try it even if others don't like the taste. Trying new foods was like riding a roller coaster road, it's a risk to take but I'm willing to take that risk just to be able to explore different foods and beverages from different places. I don't currently have a budget, so I don't buy the products I want first. Instead, I'll prioritize saving for the time being, though I'm eager to try new foods soon.

This type of transaction benefits those who are in need but lack financial resources. Such transactions offer excellent opportunities and are typically negotiated legally. It has always been said that borrowing is normal for people; it is also believed that borrowing has become the foundation of the economy in our world today. The goal of trading and lending is to add more profit to the flow of money in one location.
However, in my opinion, it also has numerous disadvantages.

It is not wrong to be kind, but it is also not wrong to be mean on occasion. I was generous with everything I had, but I later realized that not everyone needed to comply with my friends' and others' requests. I dislike the idea of borrowing because it is frustrating to think about where to find someone to pay off the loan, but I also enjoy lending money to my friends, which I now regret. I have friends who have lent me a large sum of money, but I am no longer able to charge them. It's just unfortunate because I didn't really lend money if it weren't for what my mother also lent me as capital for our Gcash.
In the last few days, I've received messages from friends asking if I could lend them a load first. I tried to make multiple excuses to show that I, too, didn't want to lend them, but they were too persistent, and as a result, I was bent over and bravely stood up for myself, declaring that I couldn't lend them anymore. It felt like they were just using me, taking the kindness I have for them as a friend for granted. I don't want to be frustrated again by having to pay off a debt that I did not take advantage of. I may have been a little selfish in my decision not to agree to lend again, but these changes were for my benefit as well as theirs. I wanted them to be more responsible with their money so they didn't bother the people around them.
I also don't understand why, despite the kindness they receive from others, some people are still able to take advantage of others. How I wish that my decision would also encourage them to reflect on their actions and gradually change their habits. This would also help them to be better and more mindful of their expenses; there are jobs that I believe some of them can save for their future. I'm sure that in the coming days when they get into the habit of borrowing money from each other or relaying it to others, it will have the unintended consequence of tarnishing their image in the eyes of others, especially if they don't pay it back right away. I just hope they understand why I hate them right now this is for their own good.

After A Nerve-Wracking School Year
Finally, finally! The long wait is over; this school was extremely difficult for me; each day felt like a petition. I'm relieved that it's finally over, and even though our grades for this semester have yet to be released, I'm grateful for making it this far.

The pressure that we students face was somewhat unbearable sometimes, we were mentally stressed out, and we were also physically tired of executing a video demonstration, not to mention the expenses that we cover for our activity is no joke. I've never been so excited to take a vacation before, possibly because this is the year I struggled so much, and aside from that, I have a summer job to look forward to, so it was a great opportunity to save again.
Reminiscing on what I went through this school year wasn't easy; I ran into financial difficulties, and I was in the midst of midterms when I was scammed and lost all of my BCH earnings to repay my debt. Thank God, I'm finally over it, but it's still a shame that the BCH coins I worked so hard for have run out, and I believe I'll have to redouble my efforts to be able to save again. Lucky for me, I became one of the SPES beneficiaries, and I now have a temporary job this vacation, though it will only last a month, which is a big help both financially and for my growth.
I've never been more excited to take a vacation, possibly because this is the year I've struggled the most, and aside from that, I have a summer job to look forward to, so it was a great opportunity to save again. Right now, I still have a week or two to spend because my summer job starts on July 4th, and one of the things I'm doing right now is being the first assistant here in our store. I'll also be able to save an additional allowance here while we wait for the DOLE announcement.

Cook For A Day
Because I had a scheduled exam today, I was waiting in our google classroom for sir to post a google form for our exam, but we don't really have to take a test on that subject, which is great for us to loosen up and prepare for the exams tomorrow. Anyway, I decided to write an article today for the continuation of my story from these past few weeks. I mentioned in my previous post that I created output for our major subject (*bartending*), and this version was for another subject (*Kitchen essentials)* that also required us to provide a demonstration.

Our professor gave the final output that we had to do for his subject at the last minute, and we were furious because she gave it on the day of the integration period, which is actually prohibited for professors to give an activity during that week. We were divided into groups, and I was glad to be with my classmates who live nearby with that we could conduct a video demonstration together, which is easier and faster because on that day we could do everything that needed to be done as we can also editing our videos immediately.
We held our output last Friday, and we were tasked with creating an appetizer, main course, sauces, and a demonstration of the mise en place (a terminology that is used to define preparation in the kitchen before cooking). I was in charge of the sauces, I finished them quickly and helped my other groupmates prepare. For the starter, we made Bola-Bola de Tilapia (fish balls) in béchamel sauce, and for the main course, we made Embutido de Tilapia in Sweet and Sour Sauce. Were not that fond of making these dishes out of fish but we don't have a choice since our group was in charge of making dishes out of fish as the main ingredient. We were skeptical about its flavor at first, but it turned out to be delicious. What's funnier is that we cooked so much that we took some home with us. That's because I arrived home early and brought the appropriate dishes for my family's dish; they complement the dish that we make, saying that it tastes great, and the main ingredients were not considered fish because it was almost like eating chicken.
Taking it into account, even though we're an online class, I don't expect to become close friends with my classmates right away because I'm not very active in our group messages on Facebook Messenger. These will be the last activities we do together this school year, and it will be a long time before I can bond with them since, after this examination week, it is vacation. It's so much fun to do a laboratory, this kind of cooking demonstration especially when we are with our classmates relieves stress while also, despite being exhausting, allowing us to bond. How I wish next school year we could do this kind of activity in our school physically for we were able to meet our other classmates personally since next school year would be our third year in college.

Challenge Accepted For A Future Bartender
It's unfortunate I couldn't follow through on what I promised. A good day to all my fellow noisers. I apologize for my absence over the last few days; I was simply too busy finishing all of my school outputs because this week is our final examination, and we need to complete all of the video demonstrations, quizzes, and paperwork all at once. Anyway, last week was a blast, and I'd like to share some of my performance output with you.

We have what you call an integration week, which is a week with no classes for us, students, to prepare for the final exam and finish all of the things that we are supposed to comply with. During this integration week, teachers are not permitted to assign tasks to students. However, it is not properly monitored, and even though it is prohibited, many professors continue to assign assignments, and worse, not just one, but up to two or three outputs in a subject.
Anyway, some of these tasks were very costly for our students, and they were also mentally and physically draining, but I kind of enjoy conducting outputs in my major subjects called Bar and Beverage Management and Kitchen Essentials, and Basic Food Preparation but lets just focused on the first subject that I have mentioned since in just one subject it has three final output that I execute.
The first thing I did was complete the individual task in Bar and Beverage Management that required me to make a classic cocktail. I decided to make a Gin Fizz, which is a concoction of gin, lemon, sugar syrup, and egg white. What inspired me to try this is that it contains egg white, and I'm not sure how this drink tastes, so I decided to do a demonstration on it. I was excited but hesitant to taste it, but I needed to evaluate it and didn't have a choice. I went straight to the drinker after tasting it, and everyone in our house enjoys the drink. It tastes like lemonade with a meringue on top; it's sweet, and you can taste the alcohol, but it's not overpowering. I believe that this cocktail was the best choice for a lady; even my mother, who was not a fan of drinking alcohol, enjoyed it.
The next assignment was a little more difficult, as it required us to create our own cocktail or mocktail recipe. For those who are unfamiliar with these terminologies let me simply differentiate them for you, a cocktail is a type of non-alcoholic mixed drink, whereas a cocktail contains alcohol. As I was saying, I needed to make my own mixture and knowing my personality I didn't want to make a simple drink that anyone could think of, but I also wanted them to be inexpensive so that it was affordable for everyone.
I did a lot of mixed testing because I also needed to do a video demonstration on how to make these drinks for another output, which is also equivalent to my final exam. And who would have thought that these three could go so well in a cocktail, after I found the perfect ratios that I would need to create my own signature drink, I proceeded right away in doing the video demonstration called ***"The Taking Bartender Challenge,"*** where we need to demonstrate how our unique drinks make while telling a story about how we came up with that recipe and what inspired us to make it.
One of my few inspirations in making this is that I usually make jam out of Guava and Kamias since my father would often bring home a freshly pick of it. Those fruits were so underrated in terms of using them in various drinks and dishes that I wanted to prove that these fruits together with the lemon grass could make such a refreshing drink. I'm glad I came up with this recipe because even my family members enjoy the taste of my drinks, which I call the ***Sunny Bomb***. I wanted a simple yet memorable name for my drink, so I came up with the Sunny from the idea of the One Piece boat the Thousand Sunny, which emphasizes the idea of joyous adventures under the sun, and Bomb since this cocktail has an explosive taste that may surprise you.

My schedules are so hectic right now, and there is so much coursework that I need to do, especially now that we are in finals and only have two weeks to comply, which is extremely aggravating. Despite this, I keep receiving numerous blessings for which I am grateful to the Lord.

In my last article, I mentioned that someone from the PESO Office called me and informed me that I was one of the qualified applicants for the DOLE's SPES program. I still can't believe that after numerous attempts to apply for this summer job program for students, I was chosen this year. Here comes what happened the other day.
I was in the middle of my online class meeting and I was one of the assigned reporters that day. Even though I was wearing earbuds, I could hear my mother calling me, stating that someone had phoned from the PESO office and was looking for me, and because they couldn't reach my telephone number, they called my guardian just to inform me that I needed to go to in their office at 1 in the afternoon the very same day for a contract signing.
I was ecstatic since they said contract signing so it's official that I'm one of the students who was given the chance to have a summer job. And, since it was already official that I had a spot on SPES, I made an announcement in our group chat that I had made it. I also asked if they had received a phone call from the PESO office, but all they said was "congratulations Gela, sanaol." I am aware that I am not the only one that passed, so I encourage them to remain silent and wait for the phone call, as I believe they are also qualified. I began preparing and packing the items I needed to bring to the office immediately after my lesson concluded. Before I departed, I received a message from two of my other friends, who said they had received the same phone call and needed to travel to their office to sign the contract as well.
When we arrived at the office, it was before 1 pm. There are already many benefactors like us. We initially had to queue up for attendance in order to acquire a uniform and for the picture taking of our ID card photo. It took 3 hours for us to get all the signing and checking of our documents. Before we went home we visited our friend Dianne who lives nearby the office, we informed her about the opportunity that we got, and we chit-chat for a little just to catch up with each other before we went home.
This summer job program for students is a great opportunity to gain knowledge and to have an experience in office work within a span of twenty days. I'm glad that DOLE and PESO came up with this kind of program, it gave students like us the opportunity to gain educational assistance as well as the knowledge that we needed as future workers.

Unexpected Phone Call
I have this personality where I always tell my friends or family members what I intend to do with my life pretty much immediately. I'm not bragging as my primary aim in sharing it is to inspire them on having a goal in life. But I recently noticed how many of my so-called life goals do not always go as planned. Often, the things I claim to do later that now I can't continue to do are due to my inconsistency, a lack of funds, or a lack of enthusiasm.

I've seen various posts on the internet in a while that generally talk about how having a private life is more pleasant. This was also followed by the statement I read on various social media platforms that it's better to grow silently, meaning that our plans in life are better to leave unsaid, we just keep that for ourselves and challenge ourselves to do that without asking for anyone's approval. In this manner, the pressure, frustrations, and self-blaming can indeed be avoided since no one knows about our goals.
The other night, I received a phone call from an unknown number, and the first thing she does is congratulate me, saying that I am one of the qualified student applicants who will be given the opportunity to be a part of the Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES) if I pass in their final interview, it is a program developed by DOLE that aims to provide assistance and supports to students like me who need academic support in exchange for twenty days working in the municipality during summer vacation.
I've tried to apply here since I was in high school, but I wasn't lucky enough to be one of the qualifiers, I'm overjoyed for what they have told me. There will still be a final interview that I have to pass but I am happy that I am one of those given the opportunity to be interviewed. I have yet to notify my friends about this accomplishment. We all apply at the same time, so I know they're hoping as well to get qualified. I'm hoping too though, but I didn't tell them about it first since I thought I believe it was too soon to celebrate because I hadn't been officially approved in SPES. I genuinely hope that I will be able to properly answer the questions that will be asked to me on the day of the interview and that I will be given the opportunity to participate in the program.

My Blood Is At It Again
I'm terrified of injections, but I'm not a frail child, so it wasn't an option for my parents to take us to the hospital for treatment. That's why I've never been confined in a hospital. I've never had the experience of being confined in a hospital. I discovered I was frightened of needles when I was in sixth grade since I was almost get confined due to severe pain in my stomach and my body couldn't handle it any longer. My mother took me to the doctor, but my doctor recommended that I should be confined, which I didn't want to do, so even though my stomach was in pain, I chose to refuse what the doctor said and we went home.

In senior high, there was a red cross blood donation program in our school, and our homeroom president encouraged me to donate blood. Of course, I'm terrified, but I remember my older brother telling me that it's beneficial to donate blood every now and again, so I pushed myself to donate despite my fears. While doing so, believe me, I almost pass out. Years passed, and our expectant family member needed blood during her delivery, I volunteered to accompany her, only to discover that my hemoglobin level in my body was low, and I was not permitted to donate blood. I was astonished to learn this because I thought I was healthy, and after two years of donating blood to the Red Cross, I didn't have any idea that I also needed blood in my own body. I donated without realizing that I was out of hemoglobin.
My condition worsened when the online class began since I was constantly awake at night. And now I'm experiencing some significant changes in my blood pressure. I'm not sure why, but my blood pressure would drop so low that I couldn't even raise from my bed, only to rise again after a bit to a hundred and twenty-eight. I couldn't stand it any longer, and the only way to get away from it was to sleep. Considering my low blood pressure, I occasionally get bruises on my body. And this is what scares me the most, especially after seeing a Facebook post stating that having a low hemoglobin level can lead to leukemia.
I'm on a detox diet right now and I'm drinking this Vita plus coffee and juices that our neighbor recommended to me; I'm still skeptical about its usefulness, but there's no harm in trying, which is why I bought a few of them, and it's been three weeks since I started using it. There have been no major changes, but the side effects I am currently experiencing, such as loose bowel movements, dizziness, and blood pressure fluctuations, are noticeable and my neighbor said that it was all normal for a first-time user.
Please excuse my absence, my blood pressure had abruptly dropped again, and I couldn't even manage to look at my phone, even to post something. I just hope that this Vita plus would help to improve my blood pressure.

What Would It Be? This or That?
Once again I found an interesting article written by @joydigitalsolutions entitled What Are Your Top Picks. Of course, it motivated me, and I wanted to try and answer it. She drops a link to the image in her piece, which I immediately visit to see for myself. Chocolate or Cheese
I like sweets, but I prefer cheese over chocolates since chocolates are only tasty when there is just a small bite to eat unlike cheese, which is not tiresome to eat. It can also be mixed into chips, vegetable salads, slices of bread, or eaten alone.
Peanut Butter or Nutella
Nutella is delightful, but like chocolate, it is tiring to eat since the flavor for me doesn't have much of a surprise in it, I mean you can taste the almond but it has this rich more chocolatey flavor. When it comes to peanut butter, you can taste the sweetness as well as the delicious scent of roasted peanuts. I've seen some peanut butter with jam in the grocery store, but I haven't tried it yet, and I'm still wondering what this peanut butter and jelly sandwich taste like.

Airplane or Boat
I'm afraid of heights and the ocean because I'm afraid of sharks, yet I enjoy overcoming my fears. I like the airplane because I believe it is more romantic to go beneath the clouds. And I have no prior experience traveling on an airplane, but I would like to try it once if given the opportunity.
Paris or Rome
City of love or the Eternal City, Paris has their Eiffel Tower and such wonderful places that give this romantic vibe. But Italy was my dream place so I'm choosing the Eternal City of Rome. Don't get me wrong both places were beyond awesome it's just in my view Rome was more iconic and interesting for its arts and foods to offer. Rome's historical background is also very enchanting in terms of their cultures and tradition. If I were allowed to go there, I felt as if I would be taken back through time from their scenery.
Beach or Snow
We have so many beaches in our country, so I'm going with snow since it has been my childhood fantasy to live somewhere where it snows. I wanted to make a snowman, and a snow angel, go ice skating, and then have a cup of hot chocolate in front of the fireplace.
Mascara or Eyeliner
Seriously, it's mascara. I have no idea how to apply makeup myself or utilize eyeliner at my age. Even a simple line is difficult for me to draw on my eyelid. It is rather tough for me, no matter how hard I try. That's why I choose mascara as it is easy to use.
Lipgloss or Lipstick
It's lipstick for me. The lipgloss doesn't have much of a use for me other than to polish the lip appearance, however, lipstick adds an additional highlight to our lips, making us appear more vibrant.
Dresses or Skirts
Skirts are great since they can be worn for both casual and formal circumstances. But, I think I'll go for a dress over a skirt. The girlish side of me prefers a more refined fashion sense. I like to appear decent while also being stylish despite my character being so loud and talkative.
Jeans or Sweatpants
I have big legs and thighs and obviously, I find it so hard to choose jeans that have good quality and are comfortable to wear. Even if I found some I don't like wearing jeans as it feels too hard to move in that things. I'm wearing sweatpants I'm holding a lot of sweatpants right now. It's so light and so pleasant to wear. It gives this boyish look and I think it's dope.
Silver or Gold
Gold has a more sophisticated appearance and may also be utilized as an investment, but I prefer silver because it appears plainer yet cooler to me. Aside from that, even if you like the silvery appearance of an accessory, it is not noticeable because, unlike imitation gold, its color fades and gradually returns to its natural bronze tone.

***Have you ever felt at ease and relieved? or Have you ever been placed in a situation where you suddenly lose control of your emotions?*** Actually, I had an unusual experience today that I'd want to share with you.

Earlier today, I didn't intend to attend the mass, instead, I planned to spend my time polishing the abstract paper that I needed to submit tomorrow. But I actually remember promising myself the other day that I would go to church this Sunday to give thanks for all the gifts I have been receiving lately. So I quickly dressed and went to church so I wouldn't be late for mass. I hadn't gone to church in a while and I felt guilty because of it.
I often go to mass with my dog every week, it may sound redundant, but it's true, and I really missed him. Anyway, at the beginning of mass, I get teary-eyed, I instantly feel sad and I wanted to cry but I cannot, I don't want to attract much attention from my surroundings. I try to calm myself by doing a deep breath repetitively.
I don't know where this sadness coming from, I actually don't have any issues or concerns aside from my groupmates. All I know is that I have a sudden emotional swing for no apparent reason. As the mass progressed, the readings ended and our parish church proceeded to deliver a homily.
The first statement he left out was ***"when do we find peace?"***
I replied in the back of my thoughts that ***we find peace*** ***when we no longer feel resentment and envy in our hearts.***
And then it struck me that maybe one of the reasons I had suddenly become upset was due to the hatred I harbored in my heart. I cannot reconnect with some people from my past since I have blocked them from my life. I believe God showered me with the Holy Spirit's hands to remind me that this is not what He intended for me to become. That He wanted me to be forgiving like Him, as His kid I know that He just wanted me to take the path that He planned for me with a pure and forgiving heart.
***GOD IS BIGGER IN OUR PROBLEMS***
These are the words Father left behind when I was suddenly taken aback by deep thought in the middle of the mass's homily. It is indeed tough not to stay outraged or resentful at difficult times, but perhaps if we learn to adjust our mindset with positive thoughts, it will be simpler to handle a problem. At the end of the mass, I suddenly feel blessed and overjoyed again. Perhaps this experience that God let me feel today was His way to remind me of the things that I am forgetting, and that is forgiving others. I'm glad that I attended the mass today, have a blessed Sunday everyone.

What's In My Phone
Upon browsing some articles to read I crossed into this article entitled Random things about my phone written by @Jijisaur. I was just amused by the idea of showing things on my phone, and here I am again doing my own version of it as I got inspired by it. I obtained my phone as a result of hard work, ahh yes you read that correctly. This is because I requested a new phone last year in 2019, and my mother purchased one on the condition that I pay for her spending on it. It was as if I took a phone as a home credit but had to pay a monthly fee to my mother. That condition was fine with me, so I was obliged to earn even during the peak of the pandemic, I do online selling before and am glad I was able to pay her back promptly for the money she spent on my phone in just three months.
Going back to the main topic, my phone, a Samsung A30s, was an Android. I like this phone's features since it has a fantastic camera with a 25,8 and 5-megapixel back camera and 16 megapixels for the front that allows me to shoot clean and detailed videos. It also has a long battery life and t also gives me a smooth gaming experience that is why I love this phone.
As you can see here I have a lot of E-wallet applications but some of them are empty, I just like the idea of saving from multiple accounts just to trick myself, to refrain from spending too much money on my desires.
These were the game applications on my phone when pandemics were raging and everything was restricted. I'll either play games or read ***manga*** (*It's like a comic book but it is published online, I couldn't afford to buy books for now*) after my part-time work as an online seller. I enjoy anime and am not content with just watching it, therefore I have a number of apps that allow me to read stories online or offline.
I also love to shop online, pretty obvious doesn't it? Most of my baking equipment was purchased online. It's pretty convenient since I don't have to go to the mall, the only disadvantage is that sometimes the product doesn't meet our expectations as a shopper.
And of course, the most interesting app on my phone is my gallery, I have a lot of videos and pictures of random things. I enjoyed taking pictures, doing vlogs, and editing.

I'd Rather Be On My Own.
One word, groupings, has the potential for causing me great distress. We've appreciated this method of being put into a group and doing activities together since grade school since our teachers believe it will help us improve our cooperation with other people when it comes to solving problems by doing things together.

These were only partially accurate in my opinion, because some people, like myself, prefer to work alone. I'm good at socializing, yes, I'm friendly and outgoing, but when it comes to carrying out a task, I'm better on my own. I have the trait of being a leader, but that aspect of my personality is something I dislike about myself; there are times when I become authoritative, and I have a tendency to become a threat to those around me and this makes them limit to express their opinions. It isn't what I want, instead, I prefer to be in a group where anyone can give their opinion since things are better constructed this way.
We were previously divided into two groups, but I joined us together because we had a classmate who had been left behind. We already have a topic; all we need to do now is prepare visuals for our live reporting. I was cramming last week since I felt we were the first reporters, and everyone except my groupmates was prepared. These two girls who were in the group with me did not respond to my messages, or if they did, it took days for them to respond, as if they were purposely doing so. When our subject professor asks us about the report, I discover that the topic I did with the visuals is incorrect, and my classmates also inform me that the topic I did with the other group is incorrect. My two group companions were unable to be located, and they didn't even attempt to attend our online lesson, despite the fact that we were now assigned. Fortunately, our professor decided to delay the reporting deadline to the next week, so I still have time to teach and prepare a fresh presentation on our topic. I decided to make the entire presentation and all of the paperwork on my own, but it wasn't out of selfishness. I sent them a message, but they haven't responded since, so I've been studying everything. And regardless of what happens next week, it is up to them whether or not they show up, regardless of these I know that I did my part.
This is another wonderful encounter; perhaps the Lord was simply preparing me to be more open-minded about what might occur. Not everything will go according to our plans. I'm glad I could get things done on my own; it's just a shame that some people don't appreciate what you achieved.
