A Cup of Which I got the idea of making my own review regarding this matter from @Giddyboy who write an article entitled Coffee or Tea a month ago. This has been in my drafts for a long time; all I remember was wanting to offer my own perspective since I was motivated by the issue and wanted to create my own interpretation. *But before anything else, I'd like to extend my gratitude to my sponsors for their support, and you can visit their accounts to read the interesting pieces.* When it comes to preferences, it always varies depending on my mood. I never believed it was wrong for a child to drink coffee or tea right away, but because I am a drinker, I like to mimic my parents and older brother. My mother used to make tea every morning, but my father and older brother prefer coffee with breakfast. I grew up drinking the same beverage, and I'm not a fan of either since coffee is too hot or bitter, and tea has no taste at all; it's like drinking a cup of boiled water with a leafy aftertaste. These two drinks play an important role in my life since they both enable me to improve my digestion and sleep, or vice versa, because there are times when I need to stay up all night to finish schoolwork, and my cup of coffee gives me the energy I need for the entire night. **Am I the only one who finds coffee made me sleepy?** I also wanted to share some of these activities that have recently become my hobby; since I started dieting, I don't usually eat every morning; instead, I drink a warm cup of black coffee with a half-cut lemon juice every morning; according to what I read on the internet, this helps to improve my metabolism and also helps to suppress cravings throughout the day; I'm not sure if it's just my mindset, but I think it was pretty effective throughout the year. I generally have a cup of coffee with my lunch, but I've been trying to avoid it because I drink too much coffee in one sitting, but it's impossible to avoid occasionally. Before going to bed, I like to have a cup of green tea since it makes me feel calm and provides me with a lot of relaxing sensations during my sleep. **How about you? A cup of which would you prefer to start your day?** ***You can check a few of my previous works here*** We Deserve This https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/we-deserve-this-e0d1fb5f Beuna Mano Ngayong San Isidro https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/beuna-mano-ngayong-san-isidro-b7c8f08f Golden Kulambo https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/golden-kulambo-4f2e8df9 Have I Moved On https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/have-i-moved-on-69ceb8bf Gloomy Day Plot Twist https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/gloomy-day-plot-twist-8e2cbab1 **Disclaimer:** I am neither a psychologist nor a financial advisor, and all of my pieces were done for entertainment purposes only. We Deserve This The tertiary level of education can be so tiring especially now that we are in this situation where we need to bear studying under this circumstance of online virtual learning. I was in my final year of being a senior high school when this pandemic starts and yeah I am part of the first-year college student to experience being a college just in a front of a gadget. It was indeed frustrating, and we needed a mental health break, it should be mandatory. Anyways this situation that we were into, cause me a problem socializing with my classmate. I always wanted to meet them but I'm not the type of person who can chat consistently, it's too tiring to reply haha. I prefer to have a conversation with them personally and not over a chat. *But before anything else, I'd like to extend my gratitude to my sponsors for their support, and you can visit their accounts to read the interesting pieces.* This school year was our second year and college, yet our section hasn't had the opportunity to meet in person. I knew some of my classmates since they live in the town the same as mine but the others live too far from ours so we can't just invite them unplanned. We always plan to have an outing but we always failed to do it. The other day while I was running some errands in a nearby town I received a message from a newly created group chat, some of my classmates were asking if we wanted to have swimming. Of course, I wanted to so I merrily replied yes, and the next thing I knew we were already in the resort. We planned it, and the plan was carried out the next day. I was just the seven of us as I said we cannot just invite our other classmates since they live too far. We entered a very affordable resort, we just paid 20 pesos per head for the entrance fee and rent a table that was worth only 150 pesos and we just divided it equally. The place was quite a view, we enjoyed talking with each other about school and stuffs and we quite have a great time together. After an hour we went to our other classmate's house who lives just down the hill were where we, he can't come with us for our swim since he was celebrating his birthday so we just decided to drop him off for a visit. That was also the first time were about to meet him. Of course, we felt awkward at first but later on, after the chit chat, it felt like we know each other already for years. On just short notice I'm glad I could befriend some of my classmates personally. This makes me feel like I, even more, wanted this pandemic to end so we can finally join a class physically and have to perform our tasks together as a class. Trust me this course that I take, is frustrating when it comes to doing a performance task that needed to be video, I'd rather perform it all in just one performance physically. Anyways that one day of escaping our school work is worthwhile, it somehow helps me replenish my peace before this final term. How I hope I can still have time to bond with them soon. ***You can check a few of my previous works here*** Beuna Mano Ngayong San Isidro https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/beuna-mano-ngayong-san-isidro-b7c8f08f Golden Kulambo https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/golden-kulambo-4f2e8df9 Have I Moved On https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/have-i-moved-on-69ceb8bf Gloomy Day Plot Twist https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/gloomy-day-plot-twist-8e2cbab1 These Arent My Year https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/these-arent-my-year-00a7ad92 **Disclaimer:** I am neither a psychologist nor a financial advisor, and all of my pieces were done for entertainment purposes only. Beuna Mano Ngayong San Isidro Every 15th of May the feast of Saint Isidore the Farmer is celebrated. The feast of the mentioned patron, which is honored by Filipino Catholics, is one of the most colorful holidays in the Philippines. More than 150 parishes and towns around the country are thought to have been named after the beloved Spanish saint and placed under his patronage. During May, the province of Quezon hosts one of the most colorful events. The "***Pahiyas Festival***" in Lucban, the "***Agawan Festival***" in Sariaya, and the "***Mayohan***" in Tayabas are all held in his honor. *But before anything else, I'd like to extend my gratitude to my sponsors for their support, and you can visit their accounts to read the interesting pieces.* Apologies for being unable to publish an article yesterday since I have something to do regarding my small business. It's not a full-time business, it's more of a side income. I've wanted to accomplish this for a long time but have been unable to do so given the lack of equipment. Thank God, I was able to purchase my oven and a few baking types of equipment, and the only thing I desired was to have my electric hand mixer since I was just borrowing from my brother's wife whenever I need to bake. I bake cakes, brownies, and other types of bread, but I haven't begun selling them yet, I only prepare for our family gatherings and haven't started making baked goods orders yet. Until last week, when I received a message from one of my cousins who was throwing a birthday celebration and had requested brownies because they love my brownies. He was my very first customer, so I took advantage of the situation and baked him two boxes of brownies. Since it is his birthday today, I began preparing and baking his order early in the morning. At 1 in the afternoon, I was able to deliver his order. I was overjoyed since my cousins kept showing off my brownies to their guests, claiming that I made them. I thought I'd be able to publish this article before I delivered my cousin's order this afternoon, but I got distracted and now I'm rushing to finish it soon after I arrived home from my cousin's birthday party. Felt so blessed to have a cousin who was always there to support me. Even though I haven't yet begun my part-time business, they have already offered me their entire support. I'm grateful that I already have a customer before I even start my new business. ***You can check a few of my previous works here*** Golden Kulambo https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/golden-kulambo-4f2e8df9 Have I Moved On https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/have-i-moved-on-69ceb8bf Gloomy Day Plot Twist https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/gloomy-day-plot-twist-8e2cbab1 These Arent My Year https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/these-arent-my-year-00a7ad92 Choose Wisely For The Sake Of This Country https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/choose-wisely-for-the-sake-of-this-country-de7a95a6 ***You can find more information about Saint Isidore Festival in this site:*** https://mb.com.ph/2022/05/15/feast-of-san-isidro-labrador-4/ **Disclaimer:** I am neither a psychologist nor a financial advisor, and all of my pieces were done for entertainment purposes only. Golden Kulambo *Kulambo* is the Tagalog word for a mosquito net. In Filipino families, mosquito nets are commonly used to protect one person from insect bites while sleeping at night. It is usually hung in the bed, although it is currently being constructed like a tent. It was either a delicate cloth or nylon curtain. *But before anything else, I'd like to extend my gratitude to my sponsors for their support, and you can visit their accounts to read the interesting pieces.* I'm not sure why most people dislike sleeping under a mosquito net, on the contrary, I like it. I'm not only protected from mosquitoes, but also from cockroaches, who seem to be everywhere at night. The cockroach is the one insect that makes me scream my soul out of my body, this may be overstated, but I despise it. It just had this scary and disgusting look. I also find it difficult to kill because it frequently moves even when I already hit it with a slipper. I read an article about cockroaches that said they were nearly impossible to squish because of their flexible bodies, and that they also breed and adapt pesticides quickly, resulting in resistance. https://www.google.com/search?q=kulambo&rlz=1C1GCEA_enPH943PH943&sxsrf=ALiCzsZrxqfB-0ef69NZ-7CflLQo0_9fNg:1652415720625&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&sqi=2&ved=2ahUKEwj09LGg0Nv3AhWugpUCHdGMCiEQ_AUoAXoECAEQAw&biw=1600&bih=722&dpr=1.2#imgrc=pfb49CaSMaJLMM&imgdii=olNo_Q8YRw-DuM Anyway, the reason I like mosquito nets is that they make me feel comfortable while sleeping and I fall asleep easily when I massage my feet on them. I've always considered it to be my pastime since I was a child. Growing up, I tried to avoid using mosquito nets since I didn't think they were helpful, but I began to regret it the first week I went without one. This is because one night I awoke with something crawling on my legs, yes I was quickly distracted from sleep and even small movements like that can wake me up, so I tried to kick my feet in the air, thinking it was just a fly, but it wouldn't go away and it made me uncomfortable, so I got out of bed and turned on the lights, where I discovered a cockroach wandering around in my bed. I had goosebumps after seeing it, and I'm so offended that it's enough to wake up my soul and cause me to lose my sleep. It took me a while to get rid of the cockroach, and after that incident, I returned to using a mosquito net. That's the reason why I called Kulambo my golden amulet, haha just kidding I just enjoy putting my foot in the mosquito net. This may seem weird but I know somewhere out there has the same reason why they like using mosquito nets at night. ***How about you what's your mosquito net moment?*** ***You can check a few of my previous works here*** Have I Moved On https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/have-i-moved-on-69ceb8bf Gloomy Day Plot Twist https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/gloomy-day-plot-twist-8e2cbab1 These Arent My Year https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/these-arent-my-year-00a7ad92 Choose Wisely For The Sake Of This Country https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/choose-wisely-for-the-sake-of-this-country-de7a95a6 A Mothers Fight https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/a-mothers-fight-413a874c **Disclaimer:** I am neither a psychologist nor a financial advisor, and all of my pieces were done for entertainment purposes only. Have I Moved On? Move on to a word that we commonly used to define our ended relationship with someone, the only key to forgive and forget all the memories that were built purely out of love. Have I Moved On? if I were to ask this question I would honestly answer that I'm not, that I still cried at night, that I still wished I could meet him even in my dreams. You're wrong if you assume I'm in the process of moving on from someone. He is a man, yet he isn't a human. *But before anything else, I'd like to extend my gratitude to my sponsors for their support, and you can visit their accounts to read the interesting pieces.* The purest and most loyal guy that I ever had, Vana. He was 3 weeks old when I got him, he was a gift from my older brother. The year 2016 was the start of my most treasurable moment, I've got myself a companion that I can fully lean on. During my darkest day, he would cling to me as if he could sense that I'm in pain, I could cry on him even if he cannot talk I know he listen. He made me feel that I'm much more special than I think. Unfortunately, he passed away due to some serious illness. It's been six months since then. I already wrote an article about him entitled Letting You Go An Owners Perspective. There's always this time when I suddenly remember him, I just couldn't help but cry. Most of my night I spend re-watching our old videos and pictures that I save on my laptop. https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/letting-you-go-an-owners-perspective-580dfc89 I spend my free time swiping through my social media accounts and, of course, Tiktok. The majority of the brief videos I watched online involved dogs. It makes me happy to see pet parents sharing their happy moments on the internet. They're all adorable but it just makes me feel sad at the same time that I couldn't film my dog anymore. These items are still in my possession, they remind me of my dog. I couldn't throw them away because they are the most common accessories I use on my dog anytime we go somewhere. I had this experience when my sister suddenly brought a puppy into our house it wasn't ours but they would call it Vana as they have the same color. I couldn't bear to see the puppy, it clings to my legs but I can't hold it for so long. I just suddenly burst into tears, I couldn't speak as if my throat has some turns around them. I just felt so devastated that night, I like dogs but this anxiety of mine, I still can't see a dog in our house, it felt like they were going to replace my Vana and I don't want that. I just can't. If I were to choose between being heartbroken with someone and Vana, I would chose to suffer over a relationship rather than being this devastated over my dog. Nothing equals the pain of losing a pet. Vana is not human but he was better than any other human, all dogs are. If you have a pet, whatever it is please love them until they are with you. ***You can check a few of my previous works here*** Gloomy Day Plot Twist https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/gloomy-day-plot-twist-8e2cbab1 These Arent My Year https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/these-arent-my-year-00a7ad92 Choose Wisely For The Sake Of This Country https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/choose-wisely-for-the-sake-of-this-country-de7a95a6 A Mothers Fight https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/a-mothers-fight-413a874c Consumed By My Own Greed https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/consumed-by-my-own-greed-4064d074 **Disclaimer:** I am neither a psychologist nor a financial advisor, and all of my pieces were done for entertainment purposes only. Gloomy Day Plot Twist Remember my article yesterday, about my phone? Guess what? It's working again, and I'm free to use it again. Yesterday, I decided to tell my parents about my troubles. I informed them that my phone isn't working and that I need to take it to a repair shop or, worse, I'll have to get a new one, but I don't have enough money. I wasn't expecting my mother's response; I expected her to be angry and lecture me nonstop, but instead, she gave me money and told me to bring my phone to her friend who owns a cellphone repair shop in a nearby town. She also said that if my cellphone really had no hope of being fixed, I should just buy a new one. *But before anything else, I'd like to extend my gratitude to my sponsors for their support, and you can visit their accounts to read the interesting pieces.* It was 3 afternoon when I decided to go to the town to get my cellphone fixed. I was upset and worried about it. According to the repairman, thus it must be the *display* or the *LCD* itself the reason why the phone won't start. He examined my phone and informed me that just the *display* was damaged. I expected him to advise me to return in a few days as I assumed it would take long to get it done, but it only took 20 minutes and it was completed. I was taken aback by the speed with which he repaired my phone and the low price they cost me. Since the shop was next to a McDonald's, I decided to reward myself with a meal. I'm not sure why my friends are constantly amazed when they see me eat alone at restaurants. I think I'm just too comfortable with myself alone. I'm not a loner, but I do have a pace where I love being alone. After I got home, I happily informed my mother that my phone was working again, and we also chit-chatted about the repairman and his business. Special thanks to my new sponsor @Jijisaur, thank you. I am grateful for your generosity and the trust you placed in my work. I hope I could provide you with more interesting work of mine. Before the night is over, I can't stop giggling and reminiscing about how my day went. Early yesterday morning, I had this gloomy aura since I was sad that I couldn't use my phone and thought I wouldn't be able to get fix because I didn't have enough funds, but thank God, before the end of the day, God provided me with another blessing. I guess I should also save just in case I need to buy a new phone ***You can check a few of my previous works here*** These Arent-My Year https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/these-arent-my-year-00a7ad92 Choose Wisely For The Sake Of This Country https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/choose-wisely-for-the-sake-of-this-country-de7a95a6 A Mothers Fight https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/a-mothers-fight-413a874c Consumed By My Own Greed https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/consumed-by-my-own-greed-4064d074 Do We Really Change An Appreciation Post https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/do-we-really-change-an-appreciation-post-75610cd2 **Disclaimer:** I am neither a psychologist nor a financial advisor, and all of my pieces were done for entertainment purposes only. These Aren't My Year You may wonder why I gave this article a title like this, this wasn't about the result of the election but it is a more rather personal matter. We may all face hardships in life that leave us with nothing to lean on, but despite the circumstances, I'm glad that I was able to remain calm, which I believe is a positive character trait that I've developed throughout this pandemic; I may not glow visually, but my character has changed. So here's the backstory of this title. *But before anything else, I'd like to extend my gratitude to my sponsors for their support, and you can visit their accounts to read the interesting pieces.* Early this year I gave up on a so-called investment platform which I ended up getting scammed worth 15,000 pesos, I'm still in the middle of retrieving my losses and I'm doing my best to do some things to earn. However, this misfortune of mine slaps me once again. Last night, as I was about to charge my phone, it slipped from my grip and I dropped it on the edge of my computer desk, which has a sharp edge. Of course, I knew that it took huge damage but while I pick it up I'm hoping for it to still works. I don't have another phone, and as a student, I consider having a phone a necessity right now, especially since I'm taking an online class and I always need to perform a video demonstration. I hastily took my charger and charged it in the hopes that it would work again, but it failed to turn on after a few attempts. I can still hear it sounds that it's functioning when I plug in the charger, but its screen doesn't light up. My parents were unaware that I had been scammed, and now I am unable to repair my phone due to a lack of funds. I couldn't afford to purchase a new one since I already lost my savings. I'm having trouble now where to get money for my cellphone repair and I don't know how to explain it to my parents either. I'm still working up the guts to tell my folks about my position because I need money at the moment now. Fortunately, I still have my laptop, which I can use to attend class, but the only issue is that I will be needing a camera for my video presentation. I am the only one in this household with a sensible smartphone. Well, I guess I need to go to my brother's house starting today to borrow his phone whenever I need to do a demonstration video. Despite everything I'm going through right now, I'm grateful to be able to publish again here, which allows me to earn BCH coins in little increments. I'm still grateful to all of you for your support and appreciation of my piece, and I consider myself fortunate to have reached nearly 50 friends on this platform, congratulations self. I'm confident that I can overcome my current circumstance. All it takes is a lot of patience. ***You can check a few of my previous works here*** Choose Wisely For The Sake Of This Country https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/choose-wisely-for-the-sake-of-this-country-de7a95a6 A Mothers Fight https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/a-mothers-fight-413a874c Consumed By My Own Greed https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/consumed-by-my-own-greed-4064d074 Do We Really Change An Appreciation Post https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/do-we-really-change-an-appreciation-post-75610cd2 I Guess I'm Back https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/i-guess-im-back-10e96e53 **Disclaimer:** I am neither a psychologist nor a financial advisor, and all of my pieces were done for entertainment purposes only. Choose Wisely For The Sake Of This Country Today, May 9, 2022, we Filipinos will have the opportunity to freely elect the people we choose to lead our country. This one day determines the next six years of our lives. I'm not here to promote any of the candidates I support, instead, I'd like to give my own ideas on the election. *But before anything else, I'd like to extend my gratitude to my sponsors for their support, and you can visit their accounts to read the interesting pieces.* It's been difficult to talk about who we vote for in recent months because of the question that society has thrown at us. Why inquire as to "***why Leni?***" or "***why BBM?***" Some would argue that if I describe why I chose this individual, they won't have a chance to win, so just choose between the two (***Leni Robredo and Bong Bong Marcos***). I'm aware of how similar the names of the two personalities are, but we all have our own beliefs, and we've had a few months to conduct our own research on each of the candidates' personalities. The saddest truth is that most of the social experimental interviews in this matter will only vote for them just because it is popular. This day would decide our future, it's in our hands. I've been silent for a few months since I don't want to get involved in any arguments over my candidate's choice. I apologize if I were to sound so biased in this post, it can't help haha. I have my own reasons and I did my own research before I chose whom to vote as this day would decide how our future will become. Many citizens would be eager to spread false information merely to make the opposing party look bad in the eyes of the public. Many citizens would be eager to spread false information merely to make the opposing party look bad in the public. Worst of all, some would explicitly name the person on the internet who argued or corrected them with the false information they published. I admit I am part of the ***Kamkampink a VP Leni Robredo and Kiko Pangilinan supporters*** but before I finally decided my give my vote to her my chosen candidate is between ***Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso and Sen. Ping Lacson*** which I believed the most underrated and qualified among the other candidates***.*** (Please respect my views). ***"I don’t want to go through what I went through before"*** this was the only one that I've heard from my father's opinion once someone asks them about who is picked on the candidates. He has his own reasons, he has his own experience back then regarding the ***Martial Law,*** but he never persuade us to vote for the person whom he supports he let us do what he thinks is right and it is to do our own judgment. A special thanks to @Lucifer01 for your kindness, thank you. I can only hope your reflections of me can be seen by others. I greatly appreciate your generosity and the trust that you gave to my work. We in the family also have differences in our pick, even in my circle of friends but we wouldn't argue we occasionally watch debates and documentaries together and gave our own views on each candidate, it's like we're having an open forum whenever we went out. But unlike other supporters we listen to each other's opinions, we respect each other's views and we put aside the political talk in our friendship. Politics is politics, nothing more, nothing less. Our history quite lacks information about the past. We just couldn’t rely on someone’s opinion just because they want this person to be elected, we must do our own research individually and judge by ourselves not because we were dictated by other supporters. We people in this democratic country are the one who has the power to vote and the right to lead our country. No matter what happens or what the result could be, we will respect it. @GelayyLumiere

A nice afternoon to everyone out there; I hope you're all doing well despite the heat. The entire Philippines is really busy right now as the election is taking place today. I apologize for not being able to post right now; I'm too busy assisting my parents with their small business in our store. I'd also like to express my gratitude to @Lucifer01 for giving me an opportunity to become one a sponsor grantee. Thank you so much for appreciating my piece.

@GelayyLumiere

A Mother's Fight A domestic helper is known as the one who helps another family with their home chores. Most of our compatriots choose to be a domestic helpers abroad and serve another family that they don’t know just to earn and support their own family. *But before anything else, I'd like to extend my gratitude to my sponsor for their support, and you can visit her accounts to read the interesting pieces.* I had this friend of mine who has a very close bond with her mother, her mother was a domestic helper in Lebanon and the breadwinner of their family since her father recently retired from the army. Their mother-daughter bond was unaffected by their distance. They would frequently phone each other to keep in touch with each other's lives, as well as share photos and videos on social media. Recently, we've noticed that this friend of mine, let's just call her Joy, has been behaving oddly. She always seems distracted and has these tired puffy eyes, as if she was sobbing all the time. of course, frequently ask her if she's okay and she would just shrug her shoulder and gave us these excuses that she's just having an abdominal cramp due t her monthly period. Later we found out the truth about why she acting strangely around us, It's about her mother, they haven't been able to contact their mother for a week or two, at first, they assumed it was because she was too busy, but as time went on, they became increasingly concerned. about the situation. One night, Joy's older sister posted about their current situation on her Facebook account. They were dealing with a family issue that need financial help for their mother's therapy. Later we found out that Joy's mother was abused abroad by her boss. The worst part is she couldn't remember all the details of the things that she went through. Her medicolegal showed that she has multiple bruises on different parts of her body, wounds as well as swollen ribs. Thank heavens the agency was determined to return her to her family safely. She still required therapy since her encounter had left her physically and mentally devastated. Too sad that we couldn't be of more assistance to Joy as a friend, but we frequently chat and meet with her to help her unwind from what's going on in their family, especially now that her mother needs her more. These challenges that God put their family into would be a lesson for every family, and I know that Joy's mom would survive this. We all have their back to support as their family friend and there are a lot who support her medication. Were praying for her faster recovery. This story of a friend of mine not just gave us the sad realization of how humanity worsened. Despite that, it proves how every overseas Filipino worker sacrifices their life each they just to support their family. A parent's sacrifice couldn't be compared to anything in this world, it has no bound. I believe that today isn't only a day for our mother but also for our father and aunts who serves as our mother in the absence of our mom. Warm greetings to all the parents out there, Happy mother's day! may you all have good health and a more prosperous life? ***You can check a few of my previous works here*** Consumed By My Own Greed https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/consumed-by-my-own-greed-4064d074 Do We Really Change An Appreciation Post https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/do-we-really-change-an-appreciation-post-75610cd2 I Guess I'm Back https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/i-guess-im-back-10e96e53 List Of My Favorite Food https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/list-of-my-favorite-food-ec9683b9 Felt Mentally Exhausted These Days https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/felt-mentally-exhausted-these-days-23c47090 **Disclaimer:** I am neither a psychologist nor a financial advisor, and all of my pieces were done for entertainment purposes only. Consumed By My Own Greed We all strive for different goals in life as we hold on to our end goal of achieving the happiness that we desire by acquiring the things and small goals that we set for ourselves. For every adult, the cost of living could be a real complete nightmare. As for me, I was introduced to the concept of providing for myself without relying on my parents' wallets as a young adult little by little. I was still living with them and working on my degree as a college student, but after giving it some thought, I've decided that I need to earn for my own sake since it is part of being an adult. *But before anything else, I'd like to extend my gratitude to my sponsors for her support, and you can visit her accounts to read the interesting pieces.* I took a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Industry, it was my dream to serve tourists and guests as well as to travel around the globe. Even if today's education went over the concept of virtual learning I still need to provide a lot of things as well as goods that I needed for my performance task where I needed to demonstrate a lot of things such as the proper way of serving wine and how a mother soup and its derivatives prepare. For these reasons I found many ways to earn such as having a sideline. In a long run, I already save enough to buy things that I needed as half of it was used as capital for my Gcash business and some of it was just stored in my savings account. My sideline isn't exactly passive in financial terms, but I'm happy with what I'm doing to generate profits. Last month I was notified by my friend about an investment that she was into, it was a reverse betting platform that promises its user to gain 4% to 5% of the profit a day. Of course, I was knowledgeable in this kind of fraud. It was too good to be true to earn that much by just doing nothing. My friend shared her experience saying that this platform that she was into really pays out. Day by day I become more and more curious about it, I gave myself much time to think about it, and then here is where my risk-taker character comes in and decided to partake in that so-called investment. **LMB FOOTBALL REVERSE BETTING GAME** This platform was introduced to us as a charity investment, they showered us much information about them saying that this platform was established in this country and they went over that country before they reach the Philippines. To be a member of this ***"investment"*** a new user must sign in and deposit an amount which is at least 300 pesos (6 dollars). I was terrified at first, thinking that they could shut down the system at any time and take the money we invested in their platform. However, this fear of mine gradually turns into excitement as my profits increase day by day. I was blinded by money, but I couldn't call myself a victim since I was the one who took the risk. I was easily manipulated by money, with my goal of saving for a washing machine for my mother. Providing them with a washing machine that would help them save time while working is one of my main goals, and this investment tempted me to spend a lot of money on it. It was my fault, I became overly greedy and lost sight of the potential consequences of my decisions. I've been feeling guilty up until today, and I regret entering such a platform knowing the potential effects. This is a life lesson that I will remember and use to help me make better decisions in the future. I hope that this article has made you more aware of such fraud and always remember that there is no such thing as an easy money-making investment. ***You can check a few of my previous works here*** Do We Really Change An Appreciation Post https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/do-we-really-change-an-appreciation-post-75610cd2 I Guess I'm Back https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/i-guess-im-back-10e96e53 List Of My Favorite Food https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/list-of-my-favorite-food-ec9683b9 Felt Mentally Exhausted These Days https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/felt-mentally-exhausted-these-days-23c47090 I Had Enough https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/i-had-enough-d421d302 **Disclaimer:** I am neither a psychologist nor a financial advisor, and all of my pieces were done for entertainment purposes only. Do We Really Change?: An Appreciation Post As my usual hobby of reading some published articles where I came across this one entitled If You Change Nothing, Nothing Will Change was written by @Lucifer01. I was quite moved by what has been written in the article, Luci's mother made a great point about change. It's our mindset that holds us back. https://read.cash/@Lucifer01/if-you-change-nothing-nothing-will-change-98488e7f I have a hard time being consistent in doing the things that I wished to change, I was aware that this inconsistency of mine was due to the mindset that I had and being too timid of pursuing the things that I started. I am a dreamer and yet I lack consistency in doing things, I easily gave up and choose the easiest way of doing things. *But before anything else, I'd like to extend my gratitude to my sponsor for her support, and you can visit her accounts to read the interesting pieces.* Thanks to Luci's mom for giving such motivational words I was able to realize the thing that I needed to realize myself to be able to save for my future was to forget all the things that I wanted. I was not saying that I should stop aiming to achieve a small goal but to widen my perspective and objectives before spending on things that I wasn't actually needed. Aside from these in regards to my health, well I always wish to have a healthy and fit body, and to be able to achieve that I need t make a move. I need to start something. The other day I went to get my blood test and it really gave me chills when they stated that my blood sugar level reaches the borderline of it. I was terrified of the idea that I might soon get diagnosed with diabetes, I'm too young for that. The first thing that comes to my mind was to have a change in my lifestyle but I was still afraid when it comes to this character of mine being inconsistent at doing things. I always wish to have a good change in my life but then what I really need to have was a change to this mindset of mine. Doing things as we seek to join a trend or just for a change of taste isn't healthy at all, we first need to associate our mind and heart with our goal to be able to achieve things that we wish to gain. Changes may be constant but it also comes in many different ways and it either a good one or not, we choose the path that we take thinking that it may be good for us, were hesitant about our own end goal of doing things is as for that it cause us to be inconsistent. I was truly motivated by this line ***"If you change nothing, nothing will change"*** I will hold on to this until I became a better version of myself. ***You can check a few of my previous works here*** I Guess Im Back https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/i-guess-im-back-10e96e53 List Of My Favorite Food https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/list-of-my-favorite-food-ec9683b9 Felt Mentally Exhausted These Days https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/felt-mentally-exhausted-these-days-23c47090 I Had Enough https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/i-had-enough-d421d302 My Nephews Favorite Chocolate Brownies Recipe https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/my-nephews-favorite-chocolate-brownies-recipe-696e7fc8 **Disclaimer:** I am neither a psychologist nor a financial advisor, and all of my pieces were done for entertainment purposes only. I Guess I'm Back It's been a long time since I last log in to my account here in to Read. I am not surprised that I lost my sponsors as it took me so long to return here, in fact, I had anticipated this. However, one thing that surprised me was Ms. @LeticiaFelize continued support of me, I appreciated her presence even though I had not been very active recently. In my absence here there's a lot of things happened in my personal life, given the idea that I was too caught up in my schoolwork and being a babysitter to my two nephews there's also a reason why I stop writing articles aside from these given circumstances. I got scammed, yes you read t right, I was too careless about trusting my money to be invested in some self-proclaimed investment platform, and it certainly gave me a rollercoaster of emotions. I used to be unable to sleep at night due to anxiety, and I am still recovering from that as well as my losses. I was still grateful for having a brother and friends to lean on when I was frustrated. I don't open up to them, but their company aids me little by little in recovery. I'm still having trouble forgetting that experience because it was such a regrettable mistake. But I suppose that experience has taught me a valuable life lesson. Well, enough with the dark times talk; I could still say that I had a pretty satisfying weekend because I was able to complete some of my activities on time. I still had one to complete, but I felt proud of myself for gradually regaining my composure. Our midterm exam was supposed to be this week, but our schedule has become jumbled due to holidays and upcoming elections. I had an exam on my major subject tomorrow, and I suppose I should study for it; I had a lot to read and memorize from the previous lesson, and I had missed several days of meetings due to taking care of some of my parents' documents in our municipality, as well as my scholarships. I guess I'll end it here I still need to do the laundry haha, have a great day everyone.

@GelayyLumiere

Apologies if I would be gone for three to four days I guess since I'm too occupied preparing for my preliminary examination but I'll soon be back once I foubd a time to write. Hope you all doing great God bless readers❤

List of My Favorite Food The Philippines is known for its beautiful and diverse biodiversity, colorful festivals, rich culture, and, of course, delectable cuisine. Speaking of food as a Filipino I not only love to cook, I also love to eat. Honestly, I eat pretty well and I’m also not a picky eater well except for fish crackers I don’t like it, all in all, I’m proud of that trait of mine. *But before anything else, I'd like to extend my gratitude to my sponsors for their support, and you can visit their accounts to read the interesting pieces.* Every person must have a list of their favorite foods from a certain place, of course, what we will talk about is the Filipino foods that we should really be proud of and encourage tourists to taste. Here is my personal pick that for me is a must-try Filipino Food. https://philippinesfoodrecipes.wordpress.com/2014/07/13/how-to-cook-dinuguan/ **1. Dinuguan** Dinuguan I presumed it was called in English a Pork blood stew, it was made out of pork organs, belly, and its simmered in a rich mixture of blood and vinegar. My father made the best Dinuguan, I swear, even when I am on my diet I couldn't help but get tempted to eat more than my usual. This dish is rich in and savory, the acid and salt of the food fight, and it tastes better if it is important. It's my all-time favorite, I rarely taste it especially now that there was African swine fever and the price of pork went up so even in the cafeteria it's rare lately. It is often prepared for weddings here in our province and in all the dishes at the banquet here only my eyes are focused because for me it tastes divine. https://www.foxyfolksy.com/filipino-tamales/ **2. Tamales** A traditional Mexican food that I've found was actually originated in the Aztecs. From neighboring countries, they made it out of corn dough and that's been filled with meats, beans, or cheese. However in our province, we use rice to prepare it, my grandmother has her own signature recipe of tamales. Unlike the traditional tamales that can be found in the wet markets, the one that was covered in banana leaves that comes in grayish color my grandmother's tamales were color orange and instead of stuffing them with meat, she would mix it with the dough. I think if I were to ask this one is going to be my top 1 favorite when it comes to snacks. https://panlasangpinoy.com/filipino-food-pork-adobo-recipe/ **3. Adobo** This dish appears to be in full swing in any part of the country, and it is our unofficial national food and our Filipino pride. Who'd think that a dish made entirely of chicken, soy sauce, and vinegar could be so simple? Because of the simple but rich flavor of this dish, I believe it is an all-time favorite of all Filipinos. It can now be cooked in a variety of ways; some people use lime soft drinks to add flavor, while others use coconut milk. But I prefer mine with just soy sauce and vinegar, and I prefer to eat it with my hands. https://ph.theasianparent.com/balot-sa-buntis **4. Balot** Despite their unappealing appearance, boiled ducks fertilize eggs and taste delicious. It's easy to find on the streets, and while it's more expensive than a chicken egg, it's well worth the money. You ate it right out of the shell, seasoning it with salt and vinegar. It has a firm, pudding-like texture and a flavor that is similar to chicken broth but much better. I could eat three of them in one sitting because the taste is so addictive, but it's important to remember to eat slowly because the cholesterol content is so high. https://www.lutongbahayrecipe.com/snacks/pansit-habhab/ **5. Pansit** Hab-hab, bihon, tamis anghang, lomi, and other similar terms are used. I'm not sure which pansit variety is my favorite, but lahat kasi sila masarap and I could make a decision. This is a tasty snack or meal, especially when combined with calamansi or vinegar. Most of the time, I crave it so much that I'll skip eating at the mall and rush home to get some noodles in our neighborhood. https://shopee.ph/Sunmaster-Fish-Family-Salina-Tuyo-Lapad-Dried-Fish-hindi-maalat-i.313916719.5060490230 **6. Dried Fish and Tinapa** Tuyo, also known as dried fish, is a type of sea flesh that has been dried in the air with salt, whereas Tinapa is simply smoked fish. Both are preserved in a natural way. It's a traditional Filipino breakfast dish, but I couldn't get enough of it even if I ate it three times a day. I like to eat my Tuyo with spicy vinegar, and I like to eat my Tinapa with a mix of yellow tomatoes, onion, and ginger. It tastes great, and it's even better when eaten with your hands. https://eatlikepinoy.com/best-laing-recipe/ **7. Laing** This dish was made with Taro leaves, apple snails, and coconut milk, and I'm not sure what it's called in other parts of the Philippines. I'm not sure how other people did it, but my father did it with a lot of snails. It's a one-of-a-kind dish that goes well with warm rice, especially if there's chili involved. Aside from the foods I mentioned above, I loved porridge, kare-kare, lumpia, longganisa, aroz caldo, and many others. It's enough to make my mouth water just thinking about all of these foods. I could go on and on, but I think all of the dishes I listed above are the best among the best for me, and if I ever made it into the field of tourism, I would like to offer those dishes to every tourist to try. I'm sure they'd order this; don't judge the food by its appearance; all of the dishes listed were delicious and filling. ***You can check a few of my previous works here*** Felt Mentally Exhausted These Days https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/felt-mentally-exhausted-these-days-23c47090 I Had Enough https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/i-had-enough-d421d302 My Nephews Favorite Chocolate Brownies Recipe https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/my-nephews-favorite-chocolate-brownies-recipe-696e7fc8 Every Child Is Special A Reflection Paper https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/every-child-is-special-a-reflection-paper-20c66424 Home At Last https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/home-at-last-6632a475 **Disclaimer:** I am neither a psychologist nor a financial advisor, and all of my pieces were done for entertainment purposes only. Felt Mentally Exhausted These Days Its been two years since the online virtual class started due to the widespread pandemic around the world. As a precaution, every student took an online class to continue their education despite what is happening in the world. The online class is divided into two parts, the first is the so-called synchronous or the attendance of each student in an online meet in a certain platform such as google meet and zoom. The other one was the asynchronous, the day on which there was no virtual meeting however it was the day of conducting the activities provided by the teachers. Online classes are more on self-comprehension from every lesson, most adults say that it is easy because we almost hold our time studying but for me, it was mentally draining. *But before anything else, I'd like to extend my gratitude to my sponsors for their support, and you can visit their accounts to read the interesting pieces.* Housework, noise, social media, stress, and illness, to name a few. Before we even begin our schoolwork, a slew of roadblocks appears in front of our eyes. Distracted by those I mentioned always caused us to procrastinate, and no matter how hard I tried to manage my time, I couldn't do it consistently. I've been tired a lot these past few days, and I've been sick a lot in the last two years. Fever, back pain, headache, an eyesore, and low blood pressure are common symptoms for me, and one of the causes I see is stress, anxiety, drowsiness, and overexposure to radiation. During the first year of a pandemic, the university continues to provide free hard copies of modules, which helps us avoid becoming overly reliant on our gadgets, but after that, there are no more to come. We have solely relied on our online modules since the second semester of our first year in college and until now when I am in my second year. Despite the benefits of being able to access and search the lessons via the internet, the alternative is experiencing frequent eye pain while reading them. I used to have clear eyes before the pandemic, but now I think it's gotten worse. I get dizzy most of the time when I spend too much time reading modules on my laptop, and I also have blurred vision, as well as headaches and back pain. Over the past two years of college, I've always felt as if I didn't really learn anything from every class, especially in my Hospitality Management course's major subjects. Because the things we should be familiarized with are not physically visible, I'm having a hard time learning and differentiating kitchen equipment and the process of some important field activities. We only rely on images and videos from the internet, but that isn't enough to tell them apart without seeing them. Low blood pressure has become even worse since there are professors who assign activities late at night with a deadline the next day. I understand that we are not the only ones who have problems, but I believe that these methods of assigning activities late at night are not fair. Because of the pressure of the online class, we always felt like we didn't deserve to relax during our ***"me time" as well as our weekends.*** During the old days, normal students would go to class and, despite our stress, we could find a way to relax by simply walking home with a friend or eating out after class. Unlike now, when students are frequently locked in their rooms to study, it feels oppressive enough to cause us such distress in a single day. If I'm having trouble as a college student, imagine how difficult it must be for children in elementary school who are just starting school. I'm sure they're always overwhelmed when they're asked to do their schoolwork. Glad I have my circles who were academically active Because we can go out, we usually get together at night to talk and eat out, which helps us cope with the stress of online classes. I sincerely hope that our recovery from the pandemic continues. ***You can check a few of my previous works here*** I Had Enough https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/i-had-enough-d421d302 My Nephews Favorite Chocolate Brownies Recipe https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/my-nephews-favorite-chocolate-brownies-recipe-696e7fc8 Every Child Is Special A Reflection Paper https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/every-child-is-special-a-reflection-paper-20c66424 Home At Last https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/home-at-last-6632a475 Birthday Worst Day https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/birthday-worst-day-598c9d53 **Disclaimer:** I am neither a psychologist nor a financial advisor, and all of my pieces were done for entertainment purposes only. I Had Enough I always wonder, why are their people who can bear not to feel guilty after abusing other people for their own sake. There are many kind people who become victims of abuse. I'm not saying that I'm a perfect person, of course, I also can't avoid making mistakes, and most of the time when I know I hurt someone or I bother someone I could help but feel guilty but why are there people who don't seem to be haunted by their consciences. This story that I'm sharing here today was about an experience that for me was a challenge as a ***rakitera*** (it's like a part-time business). Some accumulated so I thought of retailing the load and opening a G-cash transaction (Cash in and Cash out), But since I bought the oven last month with my capital, my mother lent me the capital hat I use now so the only profit receives is half of its net income. *But before anything else, I'd like to extend my gratitude to my sponsors for their support, and you can visit their accounts to read the interesting pieces.* Over the first five months, my business was good. I'm the kind of person who doesn't want to lend because I know I have a hard time refusing those who ask me and in the end, there is a big possibility that I will go bankrupt if I allow myself to be kind. For every transaction I only have 4-10 pesos profit, it still changes per day because some days I have no customer but it's okay that I'm happy there as I know I'm saving even if it were just a few coins. I had these patron na mahilig humiram ng pera for money transaction. She's our neighbor and there is literally only one house between our houses so it is too close to just walk. I'm in doubt at first kasi sabi ng nanay ko baka mahirapan daw ako maningil, pero dahil emergency pinautang ko muna nagbayad naman agad sya. Until it continued to be always like this, palagi sya'ng nangungulit through messages na magpadala muna ako ng pera kasi urgent daw at daanan ko nalang daw sa bahay nila yung bayad it continue for over two months. t becomes her habit she would keep on messaging me para manghiram ng pera, wala akong balak iseen ang messages na until dumating sa point na kahit nasa klase ako she would keep on calling my phone. The other day she ask if she can borrowmoney again she ask for almost 6 thousand pesos at sabi nya daana ko naang sa bahay nila yung bayad, I keep on messaging her na kailangan ko na yung pera dahilmaliit ang ang puhunan ko and every night I went on her house to get her payment pero madalas ay itinataboy nya ako saying na "bumalik ka nalang later may ginagawa lang ako" or "I forgot may babayaran nga pala ako, bukas ko nalang babayaran". I'm at my limit yesterday I wanted to confront her I don't have the courage to keep it in myself, I just couldn't help to think about it since gagamitin ko din sana yung maiipon ko pang downpayment sa unifrom ko. After a while nakuha ko na din naman yung bayad I just felt so frustrated kasi ako na gumawa ng favor para sa kanya ako pa yung palaging pumupunta sa bahay nya. I got scolded by both of my parents and also my elder brother for being such a coward not to say no in all of our neighbor's requests, even my friend advised me to just ignore her and I think I had enough, thankfully I gained my courage to block her account on my contact list. This may be harsh since she's still my customer by she's causing me trouble so I guess she deserves it. Hindi ko lang din maiwasan na mag-isip na bakit nga kaya may mga ganoon tao na tila hindi nakokosensya sa abalang naidudulot nila sa kapwa nila. Anyways it's not my problem anymore, having that trait of her kung hindi nya yun babaguhin it's her loss too. My apologies if I were to publish this piece in ***Taglish***, it couldn't help since I'm i a hurry too dahil may upcoming quiz ako ngayong hapon yet I still wanted to share this experience of mine. ***You can check a few of my previous works here*** My Nephews Favorite Chocolate Brownies Recipe https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/my-nephews-favorite-chocolate-brownies-recipe-696e7fc8 Every Child Is Special A Reflection Paper https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/every-child-is-special-a-reflection-paper-20c66424 Home At Last https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/home-at-last-6632a475 Birthday Worst Day https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/birthday-worst-day-598c9d53 Welcoming You Home https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/welcoming-you-home-2fbfaba5 **Disclaimer:** I am neither a psychologist nor a financial advisor, and all of my pieces were done for entertainment purposes only. My Nephew's Favorite: Chocolate Brownies Recipe Previously I mentioned in one of my articles that I had already mastered the art of baking brownies. I am honestly not fond of sharing secrets, and one instance of such secrets is the recipes for dishes that I could prepare. My childhood dream was to open my own restaurant, and I believed that having a secret recipe for some of my dishes was the key to having a great menu and dishes. I suppose I developed this mindset as a result of too much exposure to ***Spongebob Squarepants*** as a child, kidding haha. Anyway, over the last few months, I've realized how satisfying it is to be able to teach others in the field you know about. While teaching my sister-in-law how to bake these brownies, I got the feeling that I should be proud of myself for being able to deal with my inner pride. Well, seeing them enjoy my brownies made me happy; I felt like I was an inspiration if someone followed the recipe I taught them, and it's nice to be someone's mentor, even if it's only in small groups. However, I am here now sharing another budget-friendly recipe, and let's get into it already *But before anything else, I'd like to extend my gratitude to my sponsors for their support, and you can visit their accounts to read the interesting pieces.* These Chocolate brownies that I made became my mother's and my nephew's favorite, last week was my fifth time taking it and I'm pretty proud that I was able to keep having the consistent taste of it. Here is the list that you will be needing: **Ingredients** ½ c Oil 1 ¼ c Light brown sugar 1 tsp. Salt 2 large size eggs 3/4 c All-purpose flour 1/2 c Cocoa powder 1/2 tsp. baking powder  Procedure: The first is to preheat the oven for 10 minutes in 180 degrees In a bowl mix the sugar, oil, eggs, and salt, whisk it until you it gets well incorporated, you don't necessarily need to wait for the sugar to dissolve completely since we used a granulated light brown sugar it won't really dissolve that easily. It will also have a great texture after you baked it trust me. Sift all the remaining dry ingredients and combined them with the wet mixture and mix until you get the thick yet smooth consistency. Transfer it to the baking pan and make sure to tap it over three times just to make sure that we evenly distributed our brownies batter in our pan. Put it in an oven for 15-18 minutes, and there you have it, chewy and chocolatey brownies. You can adjust all of the ingredients and procedures depending on your preferences, I personally like it just like how I make it. You can also top it with your preferred toppings like chocolate chips, almonds, and dried fruits. This bite-sized snack is not only tasty but can also be used to run an online business for those who enjoy baking. I, myself were also planning to start my own online baking shop but not now maybe on this coming vacation since I'm still in the middle of my second year in college and my online class schedule is a bit too much for me now. You should give it a shot, I'm confident that once you get the hang of it, your family and customers won't be able to resist it. ***You can check a few of my previous works here*** Every Child Is Special A Reflection Paper https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/every-child-is-special-a-reflection-paper-20c66424 Home At Last https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/home-at-last-6632a475 Birthday Worst Day https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/birthday-worst-day-598c9d53 Welcoming You Home https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/welcoming-you-home-2fbfaba5 Bida-Ang Saya: A Jollibee Essay Paper https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/bida-ang-saya-a-jollibee-essay-paper-e09942e4 **Disclaimer:** I am neither a psychologist nor a financial advisor, and all of my pieces were done for entertainment purposes only. Every Child is Special: A Reflection Paper Learning to write and read are two of the first stages of a person's development. From here on out, as a grown-up, when we see a child capable of doing such things at an early age, we can't help but be delighted as we know that this child will have a bright future ahead of them. *But before anything else, I'd like to extend my gratitude to my sponsors for their support, and you can visit their accounts to read the interesting pieces.* Reality is harsh, and as adults who have already had a lot of life experience, we are well aware that life is wonderful, but it can also put a lot of pressure on us to continue living in this world. We are always in search of desirable things that we believe will make us happy, and we are constantly looking for ways to satisfy ourselves. We are, however, lifeforms who cannot be satisfied with achieving a single goal, which is why we always set goals one after the other. And, before we find that certain happiness that we all seek, we go through a lot of trials since in this world we face a lot of criticism from others. The most common thing that our society judges are the inability to read and write properly. At the young age of children, we often see some of them being academically poor students. Not only in the eyes of their peers but also in the eyes of our adults, they can quickly become the target of ruthlessness. Society always tends to judge without knowing the real cause of the problem, we always tend to focus on mistakes and we foresee the things that they are capable of ***Taare Zameen Par*** or known for its another film name ***Every Child is Special,*** an Indian film starring ***Aamir Khan*** as Ram Shankar Nikumbh and ***Darsheel Safar***y as Ishaan Awasthi. This movie is about a young boy who has ***Dyslexia*** a learning disorder which troubled by reading and writing. Ishaan is a repeat third-grader, his parents were unaware of his learning disability, and as a result, in addition, he received much scolding at his school, and his parents also scolded him as they believed Ishaan was not paying enough attention in class. Soon after he was transferred to a boarding school but he went on the same experience that he had been through in his previous school. Ishaan receives a lot of criticism and put a lot of humiliation not just from his classmate but also from most of his teachers. Despite his inability to read and write, Ishaan has a great talent for the arts, but due to his depression, he was unable to paint or to craft arts. He became engulfed in depression at a young age, to the point where he was unable to speak and distanced himself from those around him. Luckily he meets the new art teacher, Ram Shankar Nikumbh. Ram soon finds out that Ishaan also suffers from a learning disorder that he also has, dyslexia. Ram talked to Ishaan's parents about his concern and informed them about their son's disorder. Ram also spent a lot of time, attention, and effort teaching Ishaan how to read and write in a very slow manner. It also helped Ishaan to re-appreciate the field of arts and encourage him to create paints and crafts again, and soon Ishaan's academic performance showed progress. I watched this movie almost four times already but the moral brought by the concept of this movie is still there and every time I watch it I get different values from it. Most of the time, we overlook minor issues that a child may be experiencing and instead focus solely on their mistakes. Children are fragile, for a child to experience such depression can cause so much destruction for their dreams and their very own hope. They may not know the term suicidal yet but some of the actions that they do, if they are guilty is to hurt themselves to make up for the mistakes that they have done. Children at a young age deserve much attention and love from us, this is to help them nurture their own gifts and capabilities. We adults also came from being a child, it is totally normal to do mistakes, to experience failures since they were still learning how to measure right from wrong. Grown-ups are children's hope, let's not ruin their dreams and be patient with them. ***You can check a few of my previous works here*** Home At Last https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/home-at-last-6632a475 Birthday Worst Day https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/birthday-worst-day-598c9d53 Welcoming You Home https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/welcoming-you-home-2fbfaba5 Bida-Ang Saya: A Jollibee Essay Paper https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/bida-ang-saya-a-jollibee-essay-paper-e09942e4 Alteration Art Appreciation and Introspection https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/alteration-art-appreciation-and-introspection-a0f9462a **Disclaimer:** I am neither a psychologist nor a financial advisor, and all of my pieces were done for entertainment purposes only. Home At Last! I assumed it would be a long time before my elder brother returned to Balikbayan, and that some people would still have to go through quarantine in Manila, but they did not. His wife called me last night and asked if I could bake them my Chocolate brownies because my brother was coming over. I'll try to post my Chocolate brownies recipe here soon. *But before anything else, I'd like to extend my gratitude to my sponsors for their support, and you can visit their accounts to read the interesting pieces.* We had assumed he to arrive in our province at 10 p.m., but he hadn't arrived by then, so we get to bed soon after since its already late. I was awoken by my mother's laughter earlier today, so I got out of bed and did my laundry before going to my brother's house to see him and also pick up my nephew since I don't have any school-related work this weekend and decided to babysit my nephew today. I usually bring my nephew to our house during my free time, despite his misbehavior, I am entertained by his cuteness. How I wish kids would stay as they are now, I don't want to see them grow up yet. Even before I arrived to pick up my nephew, he was already prepared, and my brother and I had a brief catch-up conversation. They showed me a photo of my nephew being held by his father, who didn't appear to enjoy being held. My nephew, like any other kid, adores ***Cardo***, the protagonist of a Filipino television show ***Ang Probinsyano***. He always pretended to be a cop like Cardo, but he didn't have a toy gun, so he used a hanger instead, and it's too cute to watch him held his so-called gun and point it to us and murmured his signature line, ***"bang! bang! I'm Cando".*** I was so impressed with my brother and his wife's parenting style because they prefer not to buy toys for their children in order to save money and start their own business. For me, it's good that they're doing this because it helps my nephew understand the importance of being frugal and disciplined when it comes to spending. My two siblings and I did not grow up in a household where toys and equipment were purchased in this manner. Despite having our own family business, we were not spoiled, and as a result, we learned to work hard on our own and be self-sufficient. I'm just too happy to see my brother being a parent now just like our mom and dad, and it somehow gave me assurance for my nephews to develop great features. Today is just a normal day, it's just a bonus that my older brother has arrived and we can be said to be complete again. We're glad he got here to the province safe and healthy. ***You can check a few of my previous works here*** Birthday Worst Day https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/birthday-worst-day-598c9d53 Welcoming You Home https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/welcoming-you-home-2fbfaba5 Bida-Ang Saya: A Jollibee Essay Paper https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/bida-ang-saya-a-jollibee-essay-paper-e09942e4 Alteration Art Appreciation and Introspection https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/alteration-art-appreciation-and-introspection-a0f9462a Raising a Parent https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/raising-a-parent-03abdcac **Disclaimer:** I am neither a psychologist nor a financial advisor, and all of my pieces were done for entertainment purposes only. Birthday, Worst day We all have stories from our past that we prefer to keep hidden and buried. Even if we wish to forget the past, we are compelled to live with it. Some of these made us feel utterly powerless at some point in our lives, and no matter how hard we tried to ask for help, our voices were not heard. *But before anything else, I'd like to extend my gratitude to my sponsors for their support, and you can visit their accounts to read the interesting pieces.* Since grade school, I've been a member of various clubs and competed in a variety of events, whether it was a division meet or a regional competition. I'm pretty involved in school-related activities, but I found it intriguing because it helps me discover my potential in terms of what I want to do. I was a TLE representative, a campus officer, an honor student, a theater arts performer, an athlete, and a photojournalist. As much as possible, I don't want to boast about the activities in which I participated in school. That's because I didn't excel in all of the fields in which I participated. Some of them, like sports, I realized weren't really for me. I enjoy playing volleyball, but I'm not particularly interested in it. I simply enjoy spending time with my friends while doing so. When I first competed in the division meet, I was in third grade; it was a tiring but rewarding experience. Soon after, I enjoyed each competition's challenge, so I always entered multiple events, despite my weakness that I would not be successful in that field. It was volleyball that I first experienced fighting in the regional category when I was in sixth grade. We gathered the school's representative in our city division through STCAA. I'm very happy because I was able to meet people from all over the world, and I'm even happier because I was able to visit different schools from afar. When it came to competitions, I became more competitive here, and I was eager to have the same experience that so many people applauded and that someone cheered you on. When I was in seventh grade, I was introduced to the world of journalism. My friends told me I had potential but needed more practice, so I went into photojournalism and was fortunate enough to win first place in the field during the division. I was allowed to fight regionally as a representative of our city. Those times when I felt I was living a life that one wished for didn't happen until I was in eighth grade when I had a terrifying experience. My stuff happened, and it was for a regional competition; we were in Cavite, and I'm from Quezon province, so it was too far to travel. We always compete in the last week of January, and I considered each of my competitions to be a treasured experience because my commitments are often true on my birthday. On the 26th of January, it was during the first day of the competition and my category was assigned to compete during that day. I woke up three in the morning and I was also jolted awake by a phone call from my mother, "happy 15th birthday, good luck on your competition, be careful there." she said, these words were enough to make my day complete, after we spoke over the phone, I prepared my belongings. We did a Zumba session early in the morning together with the other journalist from the same division. Of course, as one of the first competitors on the first day of the competition, the mentor instructed us to take a bath one by one to save time. As I know how long it takes me to take a bath, I volunteer to take it first, and since everyone else is busy dancing in the covered court area, I hurriedly went on our quarter with my friend Nicole. Our quarter was originally an elementary classroom, and each has its comfort room. The one that was assigned to us had no light bulb, so we had to rely on a flashlight from our cellphones while taking a bath, and the worst part was that the bathroom window was too big and it also didn't have a lock so we had to cover it with a towel. I was hesitant to take a bath there at first, but I didn't have a choice because all of the bathrooms were located in each classroom was occupied. While taking a bath, I keep talking to Nicole, who was guarding the bathroom door and keeping me accompanied to help me lessen the tension that I have been feeling during that time. Nicole excused herself for a moment because she had a stomach and said she would first ask our mentor for medicine, the entire area fell into silence, so I began to hum while taking my time in the bathroom. Because of the cold air that enters the entire bathroom, I stared out the window for a moment as I rinsed. That's when I realized someone was looking at me; I can't tell you what he looks like because it was so dark, but I did notice he was wearing a cap. I was startled to the point where I couldn't move from where I was standing. "Gelay you there? Hurry up," said our senior, Jericho, as he spoke, the footsteps of the man who had been watching me hurriedly walk away. There was a commotion in our quarters after a while because I had been in the bathroom for too long, they were irritated I had spent too much time in the bathroom and forced me to hurry up. When I emerged from the bathroom, my fellow journalists and our mentor were waiting for me right outside the door; they were about to question me when they noticed that I was crying. They were puzzled by the worry of what was happening to me, they keep on asking repeatedly, ***"Are you okay?", "What happened?", "Tell us what's wrong.."*** The only thing that I could mumble was ***"somebody's watching me"*** Jericho immediately got the picture of what I was saying, and he also stated that he also notice footsteps from the outside of our quarters. I cannot recall the whole detail of how my competition went that day, all I know is that I wanted to leave that place as soon as possible. My family didn't know what happened that time, I also came to have feared public restrooms for a long time. I do not what to remember those horrible experiences of mine, but little by little I know I can conquer those fears. I'm well aware that I still have a long way to go and that I must be more courageous. Those moments cannot overwhelm me with who I am, all I know is to keep on standing and be brave to face that past, so I can let go of all of the hatred that I had in my heart. ***You can check a few of my previous works here*** Welcoming You Home https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/welcoming-you-home-2fbfaba5 Bida-Ang Saya: A Jollibee Essay Paper https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/bida-ang-saya-a-jollibee-essay-paper-e09942e4 Alteration Art Appreciation and Introspection https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/alteration-art-appreciation-and-introspection-a0f9462a Raising a Parent https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/raising-a-parent-03abdcac It Is Not Just An Anime https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/it-is-not-just-an-anime-139c8797 **Disclaimer:** I am neither a psychologist nor a financial advisor, and all of my pieces were done for entertainment purposes only. Welcoming You Home ***Overseas Filipino Worker is termed to describe a Filipino migrant who works in a different country.*** Our countrymen's main goals for venturing abroad are to help their families, to give them enough money to build their own home, or to be able to save enough money to build their own home. One of the reasons they choose open job opportunities in other neighboring countries has to do with the lack of job opportunities in our country. *But before anything else, I'd like to extend my gratitude to my sponsors for their support, and you can visit their accounts to read interesting piece.* My older brother is one of the Filipinos who decided to go abroad to save money; he already has a family of his own and two children, so he has a higher priority in life now. We have a big age gap of almost nine years, I believe. There's another story behind that, but let's not get into that right now because it's off the topic. Anyway, because of the age gap between us, this may be one of the reasons we haven't been as close as being siblings. Of course, I was a back fighter as a child, and because of my immaturity, we always got into fights over a lot of issues. But as I've grown older, I've come to understand some of his claims, and I've come to understand why he lectured me back then. And now that he has a family of his own, I have become even closer to him and his wife, especially of course to my nephews. He left last year to work abroad once more, choosing to work in a far distant location although his wife was pregnant at the time. Well, they bought it with a positive attitude, and they came to this decision knowing that they would both have to make a lot of sacrifices for their growing family in exchange, regardless of whether it was being separated from each other for a long time. While working there he never missed to contact us in messenger during his break to keep us updated with each other doing. Though our virtual conversation had a lot of backstories that he couldn't tell us, I know behind all those laughs he made. I could tell he was thrilled to see his newborn son, whom I introduced in my recent post "Merry of our December", but I also knew he was saddened by the fact that he would have to endure a little more months being away from them for work first. https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/merry-of-our-december-34c2ed98 It's been almost a year since he left, and he recently informed us that he will be returning in March. And now he's on a flight from Canada to the Philippines, where, given the current health protocols in relation to the pandemic, he'll be quarantined for a few days before being sent back to here in our province. He was constantly calling UC, stating that instead of going abroad, he planned to stay and start a business. His dream has always been to be a seaman and travel abroad for at least five years, and he now claims to have accomplished that goal. Now he chooses to stay for good, to see that he says the children grow up and even our parents as they get older. Can you believe how great he was for those five years? He accomplished a lot, not only did his dream come true, but he was also able to buy his own land and build his own house, which is why he was one of my inspiration ever since because of the dedication that he put to the things he wants to achieve. We won't have a welcome party or anything when he arrives as it's against the health protocols as for now, but we will greet him with so much delight when he returns. Cannot wait to see his emotional face when he see his son haha. We'll have to wait a few days before we can see him again, but it's enough for us to know that he'll be able to return to the in our country safely. ***You can check a few of my previous works here*** Bida-Ang Saya: A Jollibee Essay Paper https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/bida-ang-saya-a-jollibee-essay-paper-e09942e4 Alteration Art Appreciation and Introspection https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/alteration-art-appreciation-and-introspection-a0f9462a Raising a Parent https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/raising-a-parent-03abdcac It Is Not Just An Anime https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/it-is-not-just-an-anime-139c8797 An Introduction To Anime https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/an-introduction-to-anime-5ae97844 **Disclaimer:** I am neither a psychologist nor a financial advisor, and all of my pieces were done for entertainment purposes only. Bida Ang Saya: A Jollibee Essay Paper Apologies for the absence yesterday, I'm quite busy on making some academic-related work and I could manage to write an interesting article to share here. *But before anything else, I'd like to extend my gratitude to my sponsors for their support, and you can visit their accounts to read interesting piece.* For today's activity, we were tasked to choose a Filipino global corporation and discuss its history its worldwide reach, and attributes as a global corporation. Of course, I already had a plan in mind for which company I would feature in my paper. It was something that reminds me of being a kid at heart every time I eat at their fast-food chain, the famous Jollibee. In the year 1975, Mr. Tony Tan Caktiong founded a small ice cream parlor in Cubao Quezon City. And there his ice cream became known in that area aside from what the best tactics he used in the field of business were to survey his customer, he first initiated asking them what kind of food would be suitable to pair with ice cream. And here he started to increase his sale of ice cream products, he also added some burgers, french fries, and the well-known fried chicken. In the past three years, he has been able to establish seven fast-food restaurants in metro manila and he calls Jollibee we're Mr. Caktiong choose the name Jollibee to represent a bee in his success since the bee is said to be represented a hardworking personality. This serve as a signal of his continued success in the food industry until it started to expand outside the Philippines in the year 1987 initially and Brunei and then big way from 1995 when it moves into Guam Dubai Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. As of today, it is the largest fast-food chain brand in the Philippines operating a network of more than 1,400 stores. A dominant market leader in the country, Jollibee enjoys the lion's share of the local market that is more than all of the multinational fast-food brands and the Philippines combined. The company has also embarked on an aggressive international expansion plan, with more than 270 international branches around the globe. Card from their prominence in the food industry, they are also known for having great advertisement. They do a good tactic when it comes to endorsing their products, Filipino are known as family-oriented people and this is also what they use in their advertisements. In today's era of pandemics, Jollibee has continued to release advertisements in which it shows positivity despite the catastrophe. The message that they conveyed always gives hope not only for the consumers but for everyone. They also consider different factors such as upcoming holidays and other cultural events that we usually celebrate. Jollibee's reputation has always hinged on customer loyalty. Even in their article, it stated that Jollibee dedicated its continuous access to the Filipinos who have been there from the very start. Jollibee has risen to be one of the most well-known and favored brands in the Philippines by never losing sight of its objective. In the Philippines, it is now the market leader among fast-food chains with a market share of more than half of the industry. Until now they were unable to forget depreciation for every opinion and satisfaction of their customer that has been the key to their success. Without a doubt, I adore Jollibee, and among other fast-food chains, I would still pick this as my top pick. Of course, I eat at other places as well, but the nostalgia I felt while dining at Jollibee was unique; it simply reminded me of my childhood, when my family and I used to eat here together. And I've always been excited when I eat their Chicken Joy, ever since. I couldn't express my happiness and satisfaction whenever I ate there all I knew is that place made me so pleased as if I was becoming a child once again. ***You can check a few of my previous works here*** Alteration Art Appreciation and Introspection https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/alteration-art-appreciation-and-introspection-a0f9462a Raising a Parent https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/raising-a-parent-03abdcac It Is Not Just An Anime https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/it-is-not-just-an-anime-139c8797 An Introduction To Anime https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/an-introduction-to-anime-5ae97844 Normal-Na-Araw-Para-Sa-Isang Mag-aaral https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/normal-na-araw-para-sa-isang-mag-aaral-6a5a98bb **Disclaimer:** I am neither a psychologist nor a financial advisor, and all of my pieces were done for entertainment purposes only. Alteration: Art Appreciation and Introspection From the creators' point of view before we are able to transmit untold stories through work of art we first think about the things or experiences we wanted to tell to our viewers and if we already had the concept we considered the emotions that we during those activities and while making it and last was the ability on converting all of the thoughts and emotions to your piece of art. I was able to describe what life means to me as a result of the reminiscence of my experiences. "Alteration" is the title of one of my pieces, which covers a range of untold stories as well as various events of improvement. This piece of art is made up of various figures, forms, and colors that have its own meaning. Our bodies are the pillar of our morale and dignity, they are the primary reason that we can still stand up when we fall down, and they are perhaps one of the most common causes of self-esteem loss. We realized that the worth of a person could not be determined by their size or color when it came to body shaming. It all depends on how much they will contribute to society. However, discrimination will inevitably occur in various parts of the world. With the increasing pressure in the realm of beauty ideals, those in your immediate vicinity will be watching every step we take, and many mouths will be constantly circulating misinformation and certainly dictating your existence. This leads to us having greater aspirations in our lives, some of which may cause us to drown under the weight of the community. While we have flaws, greed, and selfishness in our system, it is not impossible for us to plunge into darkness. Despite the complex reality of life, the reminders of our past and failures that we encounter will pave the way for change, once we begin to recognize and consider the downsides of our past, we will be able to think positively about the future. It may not be all in our heads, but if we try to think positively about other things, the unthinkable may become possible. Each hue of the art might be dark and gloomy, and it might look rotten as some of our experiences that we no longer want to remember but in each of every corner, there is a shed of light. Hope that no matter how dark our past has been there is still tomorrow waiting for our waking up in the morning. We can no longer change the mistakes we made in the past but we will not remain as the person in our past. We still have our sets of goals to achieve despite the imperfections we have the drive to shape our future with our own hands. Acceptance and forgiveness to ourselves are always the keys to attaining alteration. What about you? how do you think my artwork portrays? *Before it end, I'd like to extend my gratitude to my sponsors for their support, and you can visit their accounts to read interesting piece.* ***You can check a few of my previous works here*** Raising a Parent https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/raising-a-parent-03abdcac It Is Not Just An Anime https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/it-is-not-just-an-anime-139c8797 An Introduction To Anime https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/an-introduction-to-anime-5ae97844 Normal-Na-Araw-Para-Sa-Isang Mag-aaral https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/normal-na-araw-para-sa-isang-mag-aaral-6a5a98bb Mideos Poleteismo In The View Of Ethics https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/mideos-poleteismo-in-the-view-of-ethics-ae8e2fc5 **Disclaimer:** I am neither a psychologist nor a financial advisor, and all of my pieces were done for entertainment purposes only. Raising A Parent "It's difficult to raise a parent," I've heard a lot lately. Consider the ramifications of thinking about this "saying" in its literal sense. Why do we have to raise parents when we are the children in the first place, and we are our parents' responsibility? This seemed to me to be a ridiculous belief. That has always been my motivation for doing this. *But before anything else, I'd like to extend my gratitude to my sponsors for their support, and you can visit their accounts to read interesting piece.* However, I eventually figured out what this belief meant, which is that it's a metaphor with sensible meaning. The child's and parent's situation becomes reversible as we grow older and learn to be responsible and stand on our own two feet as adults. We should only express our gratitude for our parents' sacrifices, not financially but physically when we reach the appropriate age. According to what I've read here, one of the things that many Filipinos say is that relying on the eldest sibling to support our parents is a toxic trait. It is also wrong at times to give everything to a child, especially financially, but I believe it is our responsibility as children to repay our parents' good deeds and affection. For example, when we were children, they took care of us when we were sick, and I believe we should do the same when they are sick because parents are vulnerable as well. They cannot always fulfill all of their responsibilities and work on a daily basis. Our parents are growing older, and as they do, their ability to do certain things diminishes, as is the case in life. I believe that the sacrifices our parents made during their youth until they married were equivalent to how weak they became as they grew older. So, after I graduate, one of my goals is to work for them first so that I can repay the sacrifice they made in order for me to finish school. They've been complaining for a year that their bodies are constantly in pain, that they faint easily, and that they frequently have rheumatic attacks. They have visited numerous clinics and doctors for advice and medication because they are ill, but it appears that no one is listening to them, and the cost of the drugs recommended to them is not insignificant. It's been a week since my aunt advised my parents to try drinking Anlene, calcium-rich milk recommended for adults. It's been a week since my aunt advised my parents to try drinking Anlene, calcium-rich milk recommended for adults. Of course, I lectured them that they don't have to save for themselves, especially on things that will help them recover and it's really good and they follow, for their own good as well. After a while, there appears to be an improvement because, according to my mother, the frequency of pain in their bodies has decreased, but they avoid overeating as much as possible. The effects of the said milk will take a long time to wear off, but they are hoping that a few units will cure some of their ailments. ***You can check a few of my previous works here*** It Is Not Just An Anime https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/it-is-not-just-an-anime-139c8797 An Introduction To Anime https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/an-introduction-to-anime-5ae97844 Normal-Na-Araw-Para-Sa-Isang Mag-aaral https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/normal-na-araw-para-sa-isang-mag-aaral-6a5a98bb Mideos Poleteismo In The View Of Ethics https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/mideos-poleteismo-in-the-view-of-ethics-ae8e2fc5 Love On Trend And Demand https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/love-on-trend-and-demand-1d6395d0 **Disclaimer:** I am neither a psychologist nor a financial advisor, and all of my pieces were done for entertainment purposes only. It Is Not Just An Anime Have you ever wondered what it's like to be in the 2D/3D world? Jujutsu Kaisen, Tokyo Ghoul, One-piece, Naruto, etc. which fandom are you from? It's far too difficult to imagine things as we watch and fantasize about stepping into their world. Every simple storyline sometimes felt surreal and always bring us massive impacts emotionally and physically. *But before anything else, I'd like to extend my gratitude to my sponsors for their support, and you can visit their accounts to read interesting piece.* This paper was obviously a continuation of my recently released article entitled ***An Introduction To Anime.*** I was introduced to the fascinating world of anime at a very young age, and I was influenced to watch anime by my older brother from the first story I saw aired on GMA Channel 7 and ABS-CBN Channel 2 every morning and afternoon. Slam Dunk, Doraemon, Ghost Fighter, One Piece, Naruto, and Detective Conan are just a few of the shows I used to watch and try to merrily keep up with back then. As I have gotten older, I became aware of how every show on the same station at the time was repetitively aired, obviously, they just pick out some episode and play it out and I happened to observe that these series have lacked a consistent story flow. I was eager to watch those anime series, but I was discouraged since I couldn't think of any other way to watch them, especially back when our televisions solely rely on antenna signals and we only had a few selected channels to choose from. Having my own cellphones aided me greatly in gaining access to a number of shows that I enjoy watching. Even though we didn't have an internet connection at the time, I insisted on getting a copy from my friends of the shows and movies I wanted to watch on my 16 GB USB pen drive. I'm not satisfied since I occasionally watch the copies of movies and series I've requested way quicker from time to time. One of the solutions that I laid is to load and stream online, I ask for websites where you can watch it for free, and whenever I visit a friend's house with Wi-Fi, I take advantage of the opportunity to download some of the series I want to watch. Those were such memorable times, and it was wonderful to reminisce about it, especially when I was still in high school and only had anime as a hobby, as opposed to now in college that's making me always occupied with work. I used to only watch subbed anime, but after reading some forums, I discovered that reading some of these anime in the manga is also enjoyable. In comparison to animated ones that change during the process, it is more advanced and the story is foremost. My older brother thinks I'm too addicted to it since I watch anime and read its manga version at the same time. Even a friend of mine teased me about being so into anime that there was a time when I couldn't even recommend what to watch with them because I would mostly recommend anime that they weren't a fan of, and we both have different tastes in what we watch, so we just respect each other's preferences when it comes to these form of entertainment. One of the first anime series that I became overly obsessed with is One Piece, and one of the things I liked about it was that the antagonist Luffy wasn't like the other heroes who were just bound to win one after another. Eiichiro Oda created him as a great character who experienced multiple defeats as a milestone of how these characters would surpass and achieve each of their goals throughout their adventures to become what they aimed to be. Aside from that, each of the characters' traits and backstories was too surreal, whether the main character or an antagonist, the viewers were given the opportunity to learn about each character's backstory before giving judgment on them based on their current appearance and features. Not only did I find anime to be entertaining, but it also helped me to lighten up my mood. It's like putting me on a roller coaster ride. In each story I've watched, there have been times when I felt emotionally attacked because of a sad scene, times when I laughed and even mimicked a pun that I got from it, and times when I fell in love with the character. Anime isn't just an animated form of entertainment, some characters are too relatable, I can see myself in the same situation as the characters in the story, and I can find the motivation to continue following them. Aside from that, there was a captivating storyline that made you want to keep on tuning in. While dealing with their problems, some people used these entertainment platforms to keep themselves occupied. It's just a shame that these forms of entertainment aren't always sufficient, because some people's addiction to anime causes them to become more isolated from reality, which can lead to social anxiety. As a result, it comes as no surprise that Japan has one of the highest suicide rates in the world due to other people's lack of deep communication with those closest to them. Regardless of how much satisfaction and comfort we derive from the world of anime, it is essential that our perspective on the world remains balanced. Anime is just another way for us to express our desires, but we shouldn't let it consume us. Don't miss out on the chance to create your own adventure in this thrilling reality. ***You can check a few of my previous works here*** An Introduction To Anime https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/an-introduction-to-anime-5ae97844 Normal-Na-Araw-Para-Sa-Isang Mag-aaral https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/normal-na-araw-para-sa-isang-mag-aaral-6a5a98bb Mideos Poleteismo In The View Of Ethics https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/mideos-poleteismo-in-the-view-of-ethics-ae8e2fc5 Love On Trend And Demand https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/love-on-trend-and-demand-1d6395d0 Banana Cake In Response To My Fathers Request https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/banana-cake-in-response-to-my-fathers-request-be2d7890 **Disclaimer:** I am neither a psychologist nor a financial advisor, and all of my pieces were done for entertainment purposes only. An Introduction To Anime Anime an abbreviation for the word animation is a type of Japanese animation that is hand-drawn or computer-generated for entertainment purposes. When it comes to cartoons and anime, there is a significant difference between the two in terms of art style. *But before anything else, I'd like to extend my gratitude to my sponsors for their support, and you can visit their accounts to read interesting piece* Anime is a type of cartoon, indeed, but its main distinguishing feature is that it is produced by the people in the wealthy country of Japan. Genre is an artistic category of artistic plot and composition that distinguishes each story, some might come in fantasy, adventure, horror, etc. but anime still has different types. These anime were created depending upon their target audience and viewer in mind. Here are the five types of Anime ***Shonen***, young teen males between the ages of 12 and 18 were the target audience for this type of anime. Shonen is thought to be one of the five most popular types of anime, owing to the fact that it is primarily watched by young men. This type of anime usually has a long series and focuses on adventure, action, and fighting. Some of the most well-known shonen franchises include *Naruto, One Piece, and Dragon Ball.* ***Shojo*** is the polar opposite of shonen, their target audience is usually young females of 12 and 18. Shojo also means "young girl" in Japanese, and it can be distinguished from shonen by the protagonist of the story; shonen stories feature a male protagonist, whereas shojo stories feature a female protagonist. Being primarily targeted at a teenage girl audience does not necessarily imply that the entire story will not just revolve around a romance plot, it all depends on the storyline. Shojo includes a fantasy kind of romance, but it also has a twist in that it piques the audience's interest in the protagonist. ***Seinen*** like shonen, anime is aimed at young men aged 12 to 18, though, unlike shonen, the anime story is more violent and physical. One of the stages of increasing the viewer's ability to watch stories with more psychological content. Attack on Titans is one of the most well-known stories in this category. ***Josei*** this category is for people who have a more mature and realistic view of relationships. This category's stories are frequently viewed by young adult women. Prior to this category, all main characters were female, but a male can also be the main character with homosexual overtones. ***Kodomomuke*** is the last but not least of the five categories enumerated, this one focuses on infusing morals, values and narrating imaginative stories to viewers, most of whom are children. https://www.geekandnerdculture.com/differences-between-shonen-shojo-seinen-josei-kodomomuke-anime/ Generally speaking, these five categories contain a variety of storylines from which one can choose based on their preferences. Some of the information provided may not be followed because some viewers, despite being in the demographic of a young woman, prefer more violent story types. It all depends on the viewer's preferences, I personally, enjoy shonen anime, but I also enjoy romance stories; it all depends on my mood and preferences. Anime is brought to life by people who have dedicated their lives to bring us into a world beyond our wildest dreams. It was an escape from reality, a different world that any viewer wished to be a part of, as I always said. An entertainment that can't be described as "just entertainment" because, most of the time, the characters of a story help us cope with our distress and feel much more motivated. I'm not quite certain about the whole concept, but I'm eager to learn, so if there's anything inappropriate with the information in this article, kindly let us know. ***You can check a few of my previous works here*** Normal-Na-Araw-Para-Sa-Isang Mag-aaral https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/normal-na-araw-para-sa-isang-mag-aaral-6a5a98bb Mideos Poleteismo In The View Of Ethics https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/mideos-poleteismo-in-the-view-of-ethics-ae8e2fc5 Love On Trend And Demand https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/love-on-trend-and-demand-1d6395d0 Banana Cake In Response To My Fathers Request https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/banana-cake-in-response-to-my-fathers-request-be2d7890 Im Thrilled for These Two https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/im-thrilled-for-these-two-9c519a1a **Disclaimer:** I am neither a psychologist nor a financial advisor, and all of my pieces were done for entertainment purposes only. *But before anything else, I'd like to extend my gratitude to my sponsors for their support, and you can visit their accounts to read interesting piece.* Isa sa mga asignaturang aking kailangang kunin ngayong nasa ikalawang antas ako sa kolehiyo ay ang asignaturang Filipino, bago pa man umusbog ang programa ng K-12 kurikulum ay isinulong ng Commision of Higher Euducation ang pagtatanggal ng nasabing asignatura sa kolehiyo.
