Monday Soup for the Soul

Yesterday was a good day! I love how our week started and let's all look forward to more things for the next few days.
I just want to share good vibes. Here I am drafting this article while drinking this milk tea.
This is just a short blog as I need to sleep and wake up early.
Fever no more!!
I just want to say thanks to the people who wished Lil B to get well soon. She is doing better now, with no more fever. We woke up yesterday around 2:30 am because the power went out. I checked her body temp and she was too hot.
Maybe because there was no electricity at that time. I got up and got a wet piece of the towel then wiped her body.
She woke up too and gestured 'wala naa meaning no lights. She still looked like she wasn't sick. After I wiped her body I waited a little bit more for her temperature to go down. I let her sleep on my chest (9kgs+ little human on me while sleeping) just so I can feel her temperature directly. Around 4 am we fell asleep but after an hour I noticed that she was half asleep. Her hands are playing with my other boob while she breastfeeds on the other. I didn't sleep then, I monitored her and noticed that she was already sleeping deeply around 7 or 8 am. Plus, her temperature went down too. I got relieved.
Then last night, I checked her temp and it was back to normal since morning. Now she's back to resisting sleep at night.
Another blessing in the family!
Our eldest sister is pregnant once again. She just told me when we called via video chat since she and our other sister visited our parents. She's now 3 months pregnant and closely monitoring and taking care of herself. The first time that she got pregnant was last year. Unfortunately, they lost the baby. The baby didn't have any heartbeat at the time they went for the ultrasound.
They didn't tell us immediately as they don't want to expect it. They waited for at least to see the result of the first ultrasound. Of course, we were all excited! There's another blessing in the family and we hope that everything's doing better. Weirdly, she doesn't like any food that has soy sauce hahaha! She even doesn't like coffee for now. HAHAHAHA!

I cooked the fastest food in the world!
I decided to cook sopas last night because Lil b's gums are aching. 2 teeth on each side are coming out and she gets more clingy and irritable. Her fangs are growing. There were times that she doesn't like daddy to carry her too and my back is screaming 'ouchie!'
Oh just as soon as she slept last night, her jaw locked and my nipples are bitten. I want to screaaaaam but can't deep inside I want to cry.

As a mother with a 1yr old toddler, I play songs from time to time. Nursery songs yes, but Lil B wasn't fond of Cocomelon or other nursery rhymes except for Baby Shark, Head shoulders knees and toes, or ants go marching blah blah blah. Most of the time she likes songs from musical plays, songs from movies, or concert performances. The last song we listened to was from the movie Sing this morning.

Hot day Saturday

She was hot. You might be thinking of a different kind of hot. It was literal. It got us worried. We're trying to be chill and hoping that she's gonna be fine soon.
Yesterday, Saturday was supposed to be an activity or going out day for us. It has been days since Lil B was sleeping late due to her routine changes. As you may know, a toddler's body clock or schedule changes from time to time. There were days that they would sleep as much as they can in a day and some days they would resist sleeping in order to play.
Last week, we were unable to get out of the house that often or we were not able to do morning or afternoon walks. It rains when we were about to go outside or sometimes she would wake up late than usual so the sun was up high. We wouldn't want to catch skin cancer, don't we? We just want to get enough vitamin D if we can.
One more reason I didn't let play outside or with our neighbor's kid is because we saw baby lice or what we call *lisa* on Lil B's hair. We've removed a few and to the few that it may spread, it's easier to prevent her from going outside or playing with other kids. We are pretty positive that she didn't get it from us because obviously if we had lice, she should have lots already.
Anyway, back to the story...
I asked my husband the other day if we can go to the park near the seaside in the morning and have our breakfast there. There's a playground there that Lil B might like. We planned to bring toast for breakfast and my husband agreed. I was happy and relieved that we can bring back Lil B's sleeping routine.
I woke up around 5 or 6 in the morning yesterday thinking I was dreaming when I touched Lil B. She was a bit hot. I somehow continued breastfeeding her while sleeping and fell asleep too. We woke up around 9-ish am and touched her and she still felt the same. That's when I thought, it wasn't a dream. I got the thermometer and checked her temperature. It was 37.1 degrees, boy she's got a fever. I carried her, got a towel, and changed her clothes. My husband asked if we should still go to the park. I was kind of hesitant but I thought we still should thinking Lil B might get better too.
I prepared breakfast and then off we go. We went to the park, sat on a bench, and eat our breakfast instead. We didn't go to the playground as Lil B doesn't want to be put down. She was more clingy yesterday and doesn't even want to be carried by her daddy.
We tried to feed her toast that I made but she didn't want it. Good thing we brought biscuits. My husband tried to feed her little by little and she did eat it, I was somehow relieved.
We decided to go home after less than an hour and upon warming up the car, Lil B suddenly vomited. I can see little crackers that she ate and the water she drank. I told my husband that we should go home immediately. We needed to drop by an ATM before going home. I asked Lil B if she feels pain in her teeth or tummy, and she nodded at the tummy. I took her shirt off and let her sleep on my chest for a bit. Don't worry I still covered her with an eco bag.
When we got home, I asked her if she wants to eat or drink milk. She nodded and I gave her a different biscuit and let her drink milk. After a few minutes, she vomited again. I told my husband if the vomiting continues every time she eats or drinks, I will contact her pedia in Marikina for an online consultation.
After her last vomit, I decided to bathe her. I don't want her temperature to rise up that's why I bathed her, we don't want her brain to be fried up when her temperature rises.
After a few minutes, she looked fine as if she didn't have a fever or puked. She was playing with the water while taking a bath. I got a little less worried this time. Then I cooked porridge for her, she seem to like soup so she might eat it too. To my surprise and got more relieved when she ate it for her lunch. I was actually waiting for her to vomit so we can contact her pedia immediately, but good thing that she didn't. She's back to being playful after that. That got me thinking that maybe she has a fever because of her teeth. She got 4 teeth that's been meaning to come out and I am sure that it hurts. She still has a fever but I am monitoring her temp.
My husband also told me that when he was young, he used to vomit whenever he has a fever. Fever may also cause vomiting, but we still monitored her if the vomiting continues.
Tonight at dinner, she really didn't look like she was sick. She was even asking for more food and a banana. We are just thankful that she didn't lose her appetite and energy.

100 Humans: What Makes Us Attractive?

Questions of the mind, questions of life. It's fascinating how the human mind works. Up to now, scientists or even ordinary people conduct surveys or experiments to see how a person would decide, think or behave.
I happened to pass by this documentary series, 100 Humans, thinking it was a comedy show or another Sci-fi series. I was wrong but I still find it interesting. Here's the trailer so you can watch it if it will capture your interest too.

Just a heads up, it's not as entertaining, or at least for my expectations but I managed to finish the first episode out of curiosity too.
They asked 100 people to participate in this study. By the way, the hosts weren't scientists but they interviewed scientists to explain the results that they got.
First test...
**Episode 1 - What makes us attractive**
**A male who can dance produces more active sperms compared to non-dancers**
They tested if a male who can dance gets more attractive because they have longer stamina.
**Uniform Vs. Casual wear**
They came up with a speed dating setup. They asked a few people to pretend for a certain professional. For the first round, they wore uniforms and for the 2nd part, they wore casual outfits.
**Skin tone**
They conducted a presentation wherein they showed different profiles of people who committed crimes and asked the participants how long would they sentence them.
**Smile**
As the last part of the test, they divided the participants in half and asked 2 comedians to present their comedy pieces. For the first 50 participants, the comedians were asked to present their comedy skits in a boring manner and for the 2nd half of the participants gets to see the comedians present their skits in a very funny and lively way.
Results
A male who can dance doesn't guarantee that they can have more active sperm.
The participants prefer going on dates with people who do not wear uniforms. Some of them get intimidated by people in uniforms and find it more comfortable to go talk with people, not in uniforms.
Most white people who committed crimes got fewer sentences than people of color.
The comedians who performed got the most laugh in the 2nd half of their performance where in they funnily presented their skits.
Thoughts
I haven't given much thought to this because I cannot speak for everyone. There are things that I find attractive in a person but not to other people. So to say, we have our preferences when it comes to attractiveness.
How do we even define attractive?
There may also be standards just to say one person is attractive and not. There may be things that can make a person attractive and unattractive at the same time.

Celebrants and Coffee

I noticed that there are many October birthday celebrants. Not only on this platform but my October calendar especially on Facebook birthday notifications has been flooded as well.
October Celebrants

There are a few people that I know who celebrated their birthday too. One of my best friends celebrated her birthday on the 3rd and we usually do an OctoberFest celebration when we were in college. This year's Octoberfest has been canceled because I am in Tacloban and one of us is also locked down with her partner HAHAHA!

Our eldest sister celebrated her birthday on the 7th and one of our cousins older than us also has the same birthdate. Another cousin's wife also celebrated too.
***Ninong Bai***
He's my husband's buddy and celebrated his birthday on the 8th. He dropped by our place in Tacloban because his work is in Samar. He will go home to Cavite, to his family to celebrate his birthday. Before he went home, he and my husband managed to escape their office to celebrate.

Aside from Starbucks, Coffeebean, and other coffee shops in the Metro, I find Rovinare a soothing place to have coffee.
I believe they are referring to Typhoon Yolanda.
I didn't expect a coffee shop to look like that and how they managed to include huge ice machinery as one of their interior designs. I wasn't able to take a picture of what it looks like from the entrance door and other parts of the café. I just took a few pictures from where we seated.
I remembered when my father used to take home and keep wine bottles too.
Here's what we ordered. My husband and ninong bai played ML as they miss their gaming time. I used to join them when playing ML or COD but now I play solo whenever Lil B is asleep.
What I also love about their coffee is they don't serve cold beverages with tube ice or cube ice. They served it with hand-crushed like ice.
Lil B loved it too. Didn't miss a chance to take pictures of her there too.

She roams around and goes up and down the chair, waving or saying Hi! to almost every person she sees there like she's Miss Congeniality.
Now here's other parts of the cafe that my husband and Ninong bai enjoyed.
After we spent a couple of hours in the coffee shop, we picked up our laundry and had dinner.
We had this inside joke that we will eat at the Biringan Diner. It was just because we forgot we it is located and joked around as if it is like the hidden city of Biringan in Samar.
After we had dinner, they went back to the office but I told my husband to buy at least a slice of cake for Ninong Bai. He was already generous enough to treat us to the coffee shop and dinner. Good thing that Rovinare was still open at that time. We went back there and Ninong Bai got confused about why we drove back there and asked if we forgot something. I and my husband just said yes.

Then I would do things quickly so I can rest and do other things that can help or make me happy. If I knew I couldn't fail, that would be a time saver and I can be productive as much as I can in an hour or day.

My husband HAHAHAHA! He thinks I am beautiful even if I am sleeping. He sometimes takes pictures of me and Lil B while sleeping.

I have yet to find my dream job and I don't even have an idea what should be my job. Perhaps at the moment, I am creating a dream job, to be a good mother as I can be.
If there was a solution to your anxiety, what would it look like?
It would be colorful. I love dyeing my hair and I find it stress-relieving. If that's the solution, I would be changing my hair color every week or every day!

Last year, when it was my first time giving birth. After that, I don't have other things to do other than being a mother to this little girl.

Just treat them with kindness if you can. As for me, I treat them casually as long as they don't hurt anyone. Doing nothing for me doesn't hurt me that much, but if they do nothing literally, just take them out, I mean cut them out of your life. Do not carry extra baggage in your life that does not count or has value.
This is all I can do for now. Wasn't able to post last night because I am getting an error message. I thought of posting my introduction post on Hive but wasn't able to finish it. Lil B can sense that I wasn't beside her. UGH!

Unmotherly Thoughts

How do you deal with womanhood and motherhood at the same time? There were things that you enjoy and hate as a woman and a mother.
Headaches, cramps, cravings, and mood swings, are things that I hate when I have my monthly period. Having no time for myself is one of the things that miss since I became a mom.
Now, both are happening right at this moment. I don't know what to do. My husband is at work but gets off after a couple of days. Just a few more days alone with Lil B with this womanhood. I am just afraid of how am I gonna deal with this at the same time. That's why maybe a few things popped up in my mind last week. Just a heads up, these thoughts weren't nice and I am hoping, believing in myself, that these thoughts served as a warning or a reminder to take a deep breath.
Before all that, I just want to share a little bit from my past.
**Flashback sounds***
I was in grade school when my mother strangled me. Honestly, I forgot the reason why but all I can recall was were alone and it has been a few months after she gave birth to our youngest sister. I think was just being a typical kid back then, not doing the chores she wanted me to do right away. She got angry or maybe frustrated and she just strangled me out of nowhere but stopped.
I was in high school when my mother asked me to slice a few things for her to cook. Again as a typical teenager, waking up late and not doing chores immediately or let's just say rebellion is what's happening to me. Then when she got inside the house and saw that I was just about to slice the ingredients minutes after she asked me. She got angry, got the knife, and slit it on my nape. It wasn't that deep but I felt it, I touched it and there was a bit of blood. I was shocked, scared, and secretly cried.
**Postpartum**
This is what they call the fourth trimester, which is the time after birth. The postpartum period begins upon giving birth from 6 to 8 weeks after giving birth. By that time a woman's body parts or organs may or may not have returned that's why the postpartum period may last up to 12 weeks after birth.
Baby Blues
Giving birth to a child changes everything and changes a woman's life, literally. Physically, mentally, and emotionally. Mood swings, anxiety, sleeping habits, and a few personality changes can happen too. This is just a phase and what we call 'baby blues', an adjustment period perhaps?
Postpartum Depression (PPD)
This is another type of depression that happens after birth. I remember someone telling one of our dad friends that women who had C-sections are most likely to develop PPD. I say, after big changes that happen after you give birth all women may develop PPD. Experiencing all changes in your body, plus changes financially and socially.
Postpartum Psychosis
This is an extreme mood disorder that happens rarely to a mother. I am sure that you have heard stories like a mother hearing voices that ended up harming or even killing their baby.
I am a person who sometimes likes to be alone and wants to talk to my friends when I need to vent out feelings.
I am a person who likes to do things or finish things/chores right away so I can rest or sleep.
I am a person who doesn't like loud noise unless it's rock music.
How can I do those things now that I have a toddler who's not speaking yet? How can I do those things when this little hooman keeps following me and needs skin-to-skin contact whatever and wherever I go?
As I mentioned earlier, a few things popped up in my mind out of nowhere, or let's just say out of frustration. I even thought of spanking my daughter so many times, non-stop. I thought of slapping her because she keeps on crying for no reason. I even thought of covering her mouth so that she can stop crying.
Don't worry, those are just thoughts. I just realized that when those thoughts came into my mind, I shook my head and said to myself 'why would I even do such things?'
I admit that I get frustrated. I am trying so hard to control my emotions but find it very hard because I wasn't raised like that or at least among my sisters I am the one who usually takes the blame.
How can I stop the cycle? Taking a deep breath wasn't just enough and I sometimes ended up telling Lil B to back off, letting her cry for a few minutes, even raising my voice, or even pinching her. Doesn't sound like a good mom eh? I know, I am guilty, I am sorry. What's happening to me?
This is what I hate about womanhood and motherhood.

Lovely Friday people. I hope that you are ready tomorrow, it's Saturday! I know most of you will go out, eat with family or friends or love ones, hang out anywhere just have fun and let go, to let loose after a week of stress. Go for it!
It was kind of a busy day because our kumpare (Lil B's Godparent) will celebrate his birthday tomorrow. He's an only child and he treats my husband as his sibling. He will go home to Cavite tomorrow for the meantime, he spent time with us today, and tomorrow my husband will assist him to go to the Tacloban airport.
My phone's memory got full because I don't have a backup SD card for pictures and videos so it easily gets full. I literally dumped all photos saved last month so here I am posting a few pictures stuck on my phone before I transferred it to our PC.
09-01 The Curse of Carwash
It was always a curse when you had your car washed and literally after it was done, it rained so hard and just for a short time.
This is Lil B and my husband playing with their masks. Lil B is turning 17 months old but wearing masks doesn't irritate her that much. Since she was born during the pandemic, she sees everyone wearing a mask and loves to wear it too like it was part of the fashion.
Take note that I didn't force her to wear it, she just likes to wear it. It is not required for toddlers below 2 years old to wear a mask. Funny that my SIL even bought a box of mask for her.
09-06 Sitsiritsit alibangbang, salaginto't, salagubang
I was surprised when I saw a beetle outside our apartment. It has been a while since I saw one. It was nostalgic seeing one. I remembered the times when we used to climb mango trees and get beetles, put them in a leaf and feed them, throw them so we can see them fly, put them in our hands to put them to sleep or tuck them in like a turtle.
09-08 Jesus take the wheel
I was actually craving Coke that day. My husband was at work and sometimes he hesitates to buy me Coke as if I have a Coke addiction. UGH! There were times when I crave Coke for some reason as we usually drink Coke at least once a week when we were still in Marikina. (funny how this sounds with a picture of a church and I am talking about Coke the Coca Cola, not the coke cocaine HAHAHHAA!
Anyway, the store was at least 5 minutes away from our house. I know that it wasn't that far but it wasn't that near either. What made me feel like the store is that far was that I have to bring along Lil B with me. The store was basically beside the church, and I decided to talk Lil B for a walk too.
09-21 Maka-shy shy shy!
It has been a while since I saw a *Makahiya* or Mimosa plant.
Lil I took a walk that day and I saw the makahiya plant on the vacant lot. I showed her how it folds when touched and she was surprised and liked it. She touched every plant she saw HAHAHA!
Somehow I find it relaxing when it folds too. I remember there was a time when I tried to wait for it to spread its leaves open again hahahha. Yes, it took a while!
Oh and I just remembered the song Cheer up by Twice
09-23 Chef, meron bang menu?
There were days that I really had a hard time putting her to sleep at night. This was the day when I had extra money in my wallet that my husband gave me when she had her vaccine from the health center and I decided to go to the mall with Lil B.
She doesn't have many toys at home because we left most of them in Marikina, her interest and energy really don't suit being at home. I need to take her out. She has a kitchen toy that one of her ninangs gave as a gift on her 1st birthday. She knows how to play pretend kitchen and cook as sometimes I bring her along when I cook.
Oh boy, I know she missed playing with toys like this. Sorry lil B daddy and mommy can't afford it yet.
09-28 Hey salute!
It has been a month since we got to Tacloban and we had a perfect time and day to drop by and hang out in MacArthur Landing Park. Lil B had fun running around the grass, playing catch and chase then suddenly her diaper broke. We went home immediately because she might pee in the car hahaha!
Left or right mommy?
When we go out during daylight, my husband lets me drive so I can practice my driving skills.
I feel like Lil B is judging me when it comes to directions. She might be thinking, *'You're driving again? Alam mo ba ang left and right? Doon ang left oh'*
Gabi ng lagim entry
My husband took this picture while he was in the parking lot at the back of our kitchen. I took a chance and put Lil B on my shoulder just to test if she can see daddy driving away and if daddy can see or notice her at least. Then he took a picture and sent it to me. I laughed because it is somehow scary hahahah! RAWR!
Another Ber month to go and just a few months more 'till 2022 is over. Feels like I was just dumping pictures from January and in just a few months it'll be bye 2022.

How do we know if our life is getting better? How do we know if we are already happy and content with what we have? Do small things matter? Does being happy with the little things we own matter? Does being happy without anything also considered happiness?

Then I got a little bit nostalgic. I remembered how we are still lucky to have fewer to no things when we were kids. I'd be happy to share mine.
Here are the signs that my/our life is better than before.
I remember when our youngest sister was born. My parents were at their lowest when it comes to their financial capability. Our father was a Gardener and our mother was a seamstress. Imagine having 3 children studying a year apart from each other. It was very hard for them to sustain our daily needs, and add another baby at that time.
**I don't have to let my baby drink Am (rice soup? Tama ba ang term?)**
Since my mother still works at home sewing dresses, she lost her breastmilk supply at 6 months. We don't have enough money to buy formula milk for babies. Instead, my mother would buy regular powdered Bear Brand. We would add a scoop of milk and a few ounces of liquid or soup from the rice that we cook.
*Sorry being a mother makes me emotional about this and I am happy that I was able to breastfeed Lil B up to now.
**I and my 2 other sisters won't have to use one pair of rubber shoes/sneakers during PE day.**
When we were in grade school, Friday is usually the PE day wherein we can wear our PE uniform once a week. Good thing that when we reached grade 3, grade 5, and grade 6 our school scheduled PE on other days. We can take turns using one pair of sneakers during PE days.
**We can have morning/afternoon/midnight snacks or simply we can have snacks anytime!**
Our mother used to do groceries during payday, one payday. And would tell us to make the supplies last until the next payday. I can still remember that our mother scolds us if we drink Milo or juice too frequently, and we will run out of snacks to bring to school. In addition to this, we don't have to ask our mother if we can eat the snacks we have at home.
**We don't have to enroll late in the school**
My mother used to be the school seamstress. We make the uniforms in our school and we will need to supply uniforms before we can enroll. Usually, we will be enrolled a week or a few days after the first day of school starts. I can still remember when I was in grade 4, our adviser checked our attendance and I wasn't on the list.
**We don't have to use photocopied books**
Sometimes we don't have enough money to buy books and thanks to the teachers who are friends with my mother, some teachers gave us books. My father even takes the courage to have a book photocopied in their office for free. It wasn't allowed as he is using office supplies but he still did it so we can have something to use.
**One of us won't have to sacrifice not going to school.**
There were times when our parents can only have one of us go to school for a day because they don't have enough money. Our mother would ask us, who among us had a quiz or exam that day and she'll be the one to go to school for the day.
**No more bututoy.**
There were times that we don't have electricity so my mother makes a *bututoy* or a lamp fueled by used oil with rock salt.
**My father won't have to trick the electric meter.**
My father used to pour his leftover coffee on the electric meter, the old meter with gears, this won't work in digital meters hahaha. Anyway, he used to pour his leftover coffee on the meter so that ants can go inside the meter as bait. Once lots of ants died and get stuck in between the gears, it will stop. So our meter will stop and our electric bill will be low.
Whew, flashback indeed!
Those were just some and I can still keep going but it makes my heart go into tears because I am happy that we don't have to go through it again, I hope.
Our youngest sister was very lucky. She's still in 3rd-year college and she can get all of our support when it comes to her studies. Clothing, food, allowances, projects, and even the course that she likes.
Before I end this article, I would like to give some positive or happy signs too.
We gained weight
Well since we had jobs, we can now have our own money to buy food that we want, anytime, anywhere.
2 of my sisters gained weight oh me as well, but I gained weight when I got pregnant hahaha.
Bottom line is, we don't have to starve ourselves so we can still have food for the next day.
I can dye my hair
I still don't have the money to go to a salon because I still find it too expensive but I DIY my hair. Buying hair dyes and doing it myself would only cost me half of the rate from a salon. Plus I don't have to blame other people if they ruin my hair hahaha!
My husband and I still have financial problems but we can still get by with some help from our friends and family. We are managing to make our lives to be comfortable.
Mind you that we are still not rich. We just got the chance to make our lives a little better.

Happy teacher's day! This may be a day late but I want to show appreciation to my high school teachers. Most of them made our lives easier than it should.
Yesterday, I saw my sister's IG story about this.
Before we drop the favorite lines from my teachers, I'd be happy to share the most memorable teacher I had in high school.
**TECHNICAL!**
Every student in our high school must know our Geometry/Trigonometry teacher. She was considered a terror/strict/cool teacher. Her voice and personality were really strong that you'll be out of words when she calls your name to participate. Let's just call her Mrs. T. She's really a great teacher and she came up with an activity wherein every student will be called randomly and recite the lessons that were discussed. Before the recitation, she will let us copy every description of geometric figures. We will need to memorize all of it and show the illustration.
Looks easy right? The catch is, you'll need to recite all of the figures in 2 to 3 minutes without any errors. You will be timed. Once you made a mistake, you recite it all the way back to the start. You have 3 chances to make a mistake, every error you make is counted as one. One point for mispronunciation, one for fillers, one for repeating/stuttering words, one point if you made a mistake in the illustration, and one point for just breathing JOKE! If you got three mistakes, Mrs. T will yell ***TECHNICAL***! And you are expected to take a seat, expect to get a low grade on recitation/participation, and have no second chances.
Out of 4 quarters in my 2nd year, I would always get a **technical**. I can still remember my first time doing that activity, I stuttered. I didn't last for half a minute, got 3 mistakes, and sat down looking at the ground, nervous about what my grade will be. After that, I just let it be. I wasn't even good at recitation.

Aside from her TECHNICAL punchline, Mrs. T called me out as she saw me sleeping in her class. Imagine having a teacher with a voice so strong that no one can sleep in her class, and yet I slept. She asked me to stand up and yelled, '*N.....(last name)!!! Saan ka na naman rumaket kagabi at mukang pagod na pagod ka??!! Isama mo naman kami!*

Then she asked me to jump 5 times, I didn't jump but she yelled louder, so I jumped while laughing at myself.
**TLE (Technology and Livelihood Education Subject teacher)**
We were asked to stitch shorts in our TLE subject. Everyone was busy and one of my classmates went to our teacher to have her work checked. We were all startled when we heard our teacher say '*I told you to cut it, bakit mo ginupit?!'*
I told you to cut it, why did you cut it?
Everyone in our class looked at each other confused too hahaha!
**MAPEH (Music teacher)**
Our music teacher deeply knows how hard it is to study in our school. During our quarterly exams, our classroom watcher wasn't our class adviser. The teachers take turns each day. Students always would like to be watched by Mr. Music teacher, he's our favorite. Why? Because when he says *'O dito lang ako sa pinto ha. TUMAHIMIK KAYO. Kapag tumapik ako tumahimik kayo'*
I'm just gonna stand here by the door. KEEP QUIET. If you see me tapping the wall, keep quiet
When he says keep quiet, that's our signal to do our thing. Yes, teamwork during the exams. When he taps the wall, that's his signal that there's another teacher coming so we should get back to our own papers. HAHAHAHA!

High school life was very tough for us we wouldn't be able to make it. Thanks to our 2nd parents or our school teachers. Of course don't forget to thank our parents as our first teachers.

No mother or parent won't keep an eye on your child's development. As research says, the first couple of years of the baby is their fastest development.
Imagine learning something when you're a teenager or an adult, it takes months or years to get a hang of a skill that you've been practicing or learning. While babies can sometimes surprise you with how fast they learn or pick up things.
I just want to keep track of Lil B's development here. Some of you might have followed her first-year milestones or cosplay. Now I am about to share things that she can already do.
Forgive me for posting mommy stuff, you know first-time mom documentation is needed hahaha.
Anyway here's one of her development, Mama Vs. Dada. Honestly, living in an apartment is somehow not convenient for parents who have a toddler. You know how can loud a toddler be, from the crying and yelling. To be honest, I am getting a little bit frustrated and irritated when Lil B shouts. It's not like I am pressuring her to talk but that's just how I was used to before. I don't like loud noises, I don't like yelling, I don't like fights in raising voices. I remembered her first tantrum was about a toothbrush then my mother and I fought about it. Now that we're not staying with my parents anymore, I don't have someone to nag me on how I handle things with Lil B. It's just that our neighbors here also have babies, about months old, so when my Lil B starts crying especially at night, I get worried that they might complain. Hell, but they would understand and they should understand anyway. I have a toddler who's not talking yet, so literally, they have to bear the crying and yelling. It's not like I am not doing anything about it. Of course, I try to pacify Lil b as soon as possible, I know how hard it is to keep up when you have a newborn.

Right after we had our dinner, I washed the dishes and took a bath while my husband looked after her. My husband will go back to the office and sleep, so he took a bath and I took over taking care of Lil b. She slept right away after a few minutes of nursing her. She slept earlier than usual.
My husband went back to the office and Lil b didn't see him go. I got surprised after less than an hour of being asleep, she woke up and suddenly looks at the kitchen(service area) and bathroom door, babbles a few words, and said 'daddee?'. Tries to call daddee
I just told her that daddy is at work. Then suddenly I realized she was starting to communicate through words!
It was late last month when she suddenly began babbling words that she can only understand. She also started saying anything that she hears like, **Tiktok, dirty, dangerous, chair, Darna, dog, daddy**, she can say mommy but won't call me mommy. I was also surprised when one time I was taking a poop (with doors open because daddy is at work), she wants me to carry her while I am seated on the toilet seat. She cried until I carried her and let her sit on my lap. I told her 'mommy will wash first because I pooped. Can you go down first so I can wash it?' then she nodded and didn't cry when I put her down. At that moment I realized that she can already understand things.
When she's crying for no reason, I'll ask her 'do you want to eat? do you want water or milk? Do you want grapes?' If she nods, I'll tell her to sit down while I get food or drinks.
Last night she was breastfeeding non-stop (I even slept earlier than usual because breastfeeding is a very very tiring job to do), then suddenly she stopped and said 'nana' meaning *wala na* or no more milk. I laughed and asked her if she wants milk in a bottle instead and she nodded.

Most parents can't wait for their babies to crawl, walk, run, or talk. I did too. Now, she's walking and running and following me everywhere I go.
Since she's also beginning to communicate through words, I can't wait for her to talk. I can't wait for us to have a real conversation soon. HAHHAHHA!

12 months worth of BCH

This is just going to be a short blog as I realized that it has been a year and a month since I joined read.cash and I still can't believe that I made it this far.
I actually planned to post this on my anniversary month but I lack the time and effort to finish this article. I just want to check how much BCH did I accumulate since I joined this platform.
Before I reveal how much BCH I've earned in 12 months. I want to say thanks to:

To the moms who helped me deal with how to be a first-time mom which actually kept me sane since I gave birth and for continued advice on how to deal with a toddler, which is now getting on my nerves

For the people who are grinding in other platforms, thanks for sharing how to join and what platforms can help us earn too. I am looking forward to joining other platforms too once I have the time.
Just to give you a heads up, my earnings weren't as much as what others earned within a year but I still want to see how I did within my first year.

Now let's see my other wallets. The first two wallet addresses weren't in use for a while now since I don't have a copy of seed phrase.

HAHAHAH so in short, I was able to use 2 wallets before, and now I am only using one wallet address as the active one.
If we will add all my earnings based on the Blockchair report, I was able to earn at least 2 BCH. WOW! That's good enough for me. How I wish that the BCH's value was up to the amount (5-digits) since I joined hahahah!
Now my goals before the year end:
continue posting daily as much as possible or at least 30 articles per month.
Pay unsettled shopee SPayLater Bills
and once I have done those two, I will save and HODL my BCH earnings as much as possible.

Dancing in September

I must say that I really got to dance last month. There are a few things that are worth celebrating or let's just say dancing for. I am very much grateful for starting our Ber months nicely and I hope that it will continue or work harder for more fruitful blessings for the rest of the year.

I am happy that I've gained a couple more sponsors and happy to see @Bloghound back on my sponsors' block. I know that for the past few months, @TheRandomRewarder visited articles a little less compared to last year or before BCH dipped. I mean that's just how crypto works, it goes up and down and for crypto newbies like me, we can't tell when it's gonna happen. I also need to cut off a few sponsorships because I need my earnings.
**Sponsorships**
I sponsored a few users before BCH dipped. Last month, I only got to sponsor 3 users and now I am happy to add or continue my sponsorship to a few more. I just sent my BCH earnings to my Coinsph and left extra cents on my @Read.Cash wallet. Now, I added 7 more users and continue my sponsorship with them.
I remembered that when I try to be active and read as many articles as I can, I usually read articles from new users. I was happy that I was able to sponsor them for a few months but when I check their profile, it looks like most of the users that I sponsored weren't active anymore.

I am happy that gained a couple of more subscribers haahhaah! I just went back on posting in Noise.cash hoping that I could get FT back. I didn't get FT for months and stopped since. I also got to sign up on Hive, at last, thanks to @Ayane-chan . I was able to go through signing up. The thing is, I haven't posted an article yet. I felt that I need to learn and explore Hive more than I explored Read.cash. I just don't have enough time to go through other details yet but I am hoping that I can do that soon. I just find it hard to find time since we moved to Tacloban with my husband. Every other week, I get to take care of her alone when my husband is at work. I got the impression that Hive is more complicated than read.cash.

I must say that I am happy that I already have reached 200 subs after a year. I know that my account wasn't that fast in getting audiences as I usually post about mother stuff. You can't blame me, I am a first-time mom and I am all new to this motherhood thing. Not that I am seeking any validation perhaps I just need something, a diversion so I can feel like I am myself again. Being on this platform helped honestly and I thank you to the people who kept on reading my articles.
I am also happy that my earnings somehow doubled compared to my August earnings.
I got to post 24 articles and earned 39$. It was so much better than August, still a little short for my bills in Shopee but I think I can manage. A year ago
First time namin nakapagwalk sa park kahit GCQ pa nun. Di ko sure if ilang araw lang nakauwi ang asawa ko nun pero sinusulit ko talaga lagi ang oras at araw kapag umuuwi sya.
Naalala ko pa nun, nakatulog si Lil B while naglalakad kami papunta sa park. 5 months pa lang sya nun at di pa nakakalakad kaya sight seeing lang muna sya ng mga bagay bagay maiba lang yung surroundings nya kahit papano.

Nagyoyosi and nagvavape ako dati. Walang halong bashing mga friends ha, kanya kanyang bisyo lang tska wala pa akong inaalalang anak noon.

Actually classmate ko sya nung college ako. Tawag ko sa kanya si Papa Chua. Rodolfo kasi first name nya at Bok nickname kaso di ko bet na tawagin sya ng kahit ano doon, kaya bilang paglalandi ko sa kanya Papa Chua na lang. HHAHAHAH! Sya lang ata yung naging crush ko na may lakas ako ng loob na kausapin sya kasi mahiyain din sya. Sya din yung tipo na kahit alam nyang may gusto sa kanya di nya itatake advantage parang wala lang sa kanya, kakausapin ka padin nya at makikipagbiruan ng casual.

Yung boyfriend ko that time, sikreto na kami. Walang nakakaalam na kami sa mga klasmates namin. Eh nagkataon na birthday ng bestfriend ko nun at may thesis kami, yung dalawang groups nagdecide na doon na lang sa house ni bestfriend maggawa ng thesis sabay birthday celebration.
Naalala ko pa na kapos kami noon, wala akong pampamasahe pero sabi ko sa nanay ko malapit na matapos yung thesis namin at kelangan ko pumunta doon kasi nagagalit yung mga groupmates ko. Pero syempre, chenes lang yun. Mejo selfish ako sa part na yun kasi gumawa ang nanay ko ng paraan para makakuha ng pamasahe at makapunta ako. Pero ang totoo eh, kahit di naman ako pumunta doon eh okay lang. Yung bestfriend ko kasi na birthday celebrant yung dating pinopormahan ng boyfriend ko that time. So basically, secretly kami na ng jowa ko nun pero alam ng lahat eh nililigawan pa din ng boyfriend ko si bestfriend. Hindi ko hahayaan na maging masaya sila doon habang ako nasa bahay ang peg ko nun.
So ayun nga, may katuwaan, inuman, buyuan, tuksuhan tapos nagdance pa si boyfriend and bestfriend. So nainis ako, inom lang ako ng inom tapos nakikipagbargadulan lang tapos biglang sabi ni Papa Chua 'picture tayo', nagulat yung mga classmates namin tapos pinicturan nga kami! Syempre kilig ako nun kaya kita naman siguro sa ngiti ko sa picture na kiligPP ako HAHAHHAA! May kasamang akbay pa yan!

Ito married for a year with a 16-month-old Lil B. Nasa Visayas at walang kilala kahit sino.
Namimiss ko din yung dating ako pero bawal manghinayang o magsisi, kasi alam ko balang araw maibabalik ko din yung magaan kong katawan. Pero di ko pa din matatanggal yung sakit ng likod at tuhod ko.
Mabilis lang talaga ang panahon. Akalain mo yun, noon puro lang ako landi, jowa dito jowa jan, bisyo dito, bisyo jan. Pero nakakapagod din pala, madaling napagsawaan. In fairness mejo clean living ako since nagbuntis ako kaya parang namimiss ko magyosi lalo na kapag stressed, namimiss ko uminom, namimiss ko yung anytime pwede akong umalis, yung ako lang yung iisipin ko, yung walang nakadikit at sumusunod sakin kahit sa CR.

There were times that this could help a person reach a goal, a simple goal perhaps. Let's say, one may have to fake socializing with people that you don't want to be with. The series was actually inspired by a real-life con artist named Anna Delvey (Anna Sorokin as her real name). It was released around February of this year, 2022. The first season with 9 episodes, and each episode is about an hour long.

Sorry, I just want to share each episode's title because I find it witty.
Plot
The series shows a journalist, Vivian Kent, who featured Anna Delvey's case in her article to know who really Anna Delvey is. At the same time, she investigated to know what and how she conned a few New York Elites.
Anna Sorokin AKA, Anna Delvey, was an immigrant who worked on her way up the New York Elite ladder by conning them. She told everyone that she's a VIP and simply has a trust fund from her father that she can get when she's 25 years old. By continuously faking-till-you-make-it, she was able to convince or manipulate people around her by thinking she was very very rich. Once she already have a few big connections, she tried to put up a foundation, the Anna Delvey Foundation (ADF), or let's just say a business. Since she's an immigrant and has no money on hand, she needs help from different types of people that can help her get a loan and help her put up her 'business'.
She's been staying in a hotel, buying expensive clothes, dining out in expensive restaurants, and hanging out with rich people in New York. Whenever her credit card gets declined, her 'friends' will take care of the bill, she was the one who usually pays so it was nothing for her friends. Until one day, her horror happened.
Her credit card gets declined, and she wasn't able to pay for her hotel stay. Well from that series of unpaid dues, she got arrested, got to trial, and was convicted. She was found guilty in 2019 of attempted grand larceny, grand larceny, and theft services. She was sentenced to prison for four to 12 years.
Did I spill it all out? I am sorry but that's just how the story goes, what's interesting is HOW did she manage to almost pull her stunt off. Hmmmmmm? Now you can watch the series hahaha!

Thoughts
I didn't actually think that I was able to finish this series within 2 days. Well, Lil B and I watched it just to fall asleep.
When I was pregnant I used to watch murder/crime documentaries or series. The actors who were in the series, I think did justice to the roles that they've been given. It was pretty interesting that the producers did a movie-like, TV series approach than just doing a documentary series. That actually made Anna's case more interesting.
Rating/Recommendation
I would give it a 3 out of 10. Yes, I may seem to like this series but not to the point that I'd be head over heels about it.
I just felt like there was something lacking at the end of the series and I am kind of hoping for a season 2, just so as to fill in some more details about Anna's real life. I was also looking for more on *how* exactly she conned people other than just by being a partygoer and acting an irate spoiled, self-centered b**** whenever she didn't get what she wants.
Are you familiar with the TV series White Collar? I was kind of expecting something like that. More details and more revelation as to why and how Anna turned out to be a con artist.

Pump Day, Hump Day

Why Wednesday is called Hump day? People find it hard to focus as it is regarded as the midpoint of a working week. It's just 2 more days before the weekends.
Midweek but it's a weekend feels for us. My husband starts and ends his duty on Wednesdays. However, there were times that he still works even on his days off.
Whenever he gets to travel at least more than an hour away from our place, he tried to bring us along. We might wait for a few hours so he usually checks if there's a place where we can stay for a few hours.
Last time, we went to Hilongos, Abuyog a couple of times and stayed with my uncle, and yesterday my husband needs to go to Burauen, Leyte. He was hesitant the other night if he could bring us along because one of his co-workers will be there too and planning to take a ride with him. Good thing that the following morning, my husband told me that we can come.
Burauen, Leyte
It was just an hour drive from Tacloban and I think a very small town. We are supposed to wait at a milk tea shop nearby, unfortunately, it was still closed when we got there. I told my husband to drop us off the church.
We stayed at the church for at least an hour, let Lil B walked around, watch the chickens and dogs.
One thing that I forgot was to charge my phone. So I was left with 51% battery that won't last long enough until my husband's thing is over.
I immediately checked on the maps any establishments or somewhere we can stay at least. I saw a 7/11 but when I got it, there were no charging stations like what 7/11 have in metro manila. I turned off my mobile data immediately and told my husband that we are just neaby. There was an Andoks though. I slightly felt my tummy crunching as I didn't have breakfast at all.
Look at his baby looking tired from all the walking and running.
We spent another hour at Andoks to eat then we went to the park in front of the Municipal Hall. It's a nice spot to stay but there are a lot of students roaming around doing school stuff, playing mobile games, tiktok, etc. I was actually waiting for one nipa hut to be vacant so Lil B and I can have a nice seat and shade.
The weather was nice. We waited for another hour, roamed around, and bought ice cream. The skies turned grey and I was worried about where can we stay if it rains. I was worried to go inside the church because I am wearing romper shorts (a padede outfit for me). It began drizzling and I have no choice but to go inside the church.
I don't pray or go to church for the longest time but I still took advantage of it. I asked whoever is up there listening to take care of all the people we love. Especially my MIL so she can recover soon.
Minutes passed, Lil B fell asleep and the rain poured, heavy rain poured. Then suddenly, I got my husband's message at 12:30pm that he's done and picked us up from the church.
It was already lunch time and we planned to have lunch at one of the cafes nearby. It seems okay, here's a screenshot.
Nice right? However, the rain was pouring heavily and when we got there they are not open as the other chef wasn't there yet. Sad, I thought we could eat somewhere nice just to let my husband unwind after a week of working.
We drove home instead and along the way, we saw this Family Fried Chicken place and tried it out.

By the way, that's how Lil B smiles if it's forced.
We were actually surprised. We didn't expect that the food was decent enough for its price. Let me do a quick review.
The fried chicken was better than Crispy Chicken. I can compare it to Mini Stop's chicken but a little better and the chicken itself wasn't dry. For only 45 pesos with rice.
Arozcaldo was unexpected too. It looks a little bit pale but man, it's better than the *lugaw* than what you can eat somewhere. Trust me, from a student who used to enjoy unli lugaw for 5 pesos in Sta. Mesa, Manila.
Lumpia was good too. You get 3 for only 20 pesos or 7 pesos per piece. What I love about it was it wasn't just lumpia wrapper and the filling inside is enough for you to satisfy your lumpia cravings.
The only downside is, No coke available. Char! But seriously, I loved it!
MacArthur Landing Memorial Park
We are supposed to go straight home after we eat but my husband decided to drop by MacArthur Park. It's been more than a month since we are staying here and we still haven't visited the park. My husband thought, since it just rained and his co-workers probably won't pass by there, it would be the perfect time to visit the park.
Green grass for a running baby girl is ♥. Even though you can see on her face that she looks sleepy and tired, she still has the energy to run around the park.
Of course, we took a few photos for fun.
Oh, I forgot to mention that this girl sings every time she hears a song even sometimes getting the correct tune. Hmmm, I wonder if you'd like to be a singer someday.

9 months in my womb and more thab 12 hours of labor, and days without sleep but still looks like the dad.
For those upcoming first time moms, you can also check out this page or download the app. This is a great help if you have any questions or would like to read about pregnancies or babies. I personally used this when I was still pregnant and during the first few months after giving birth. It helped me on my worries, you can read articles, other pregnancy or baby stories, track your pregnancy development and even can be an influencer.
Once a woman gave birth, people are fascinated with what the baby's gonna look like, mother or father? It depends on the genes eh? Usually, moms react to their babies having their father's physical appearance more than the mother's.
I know a few people and myself too. On my part, I am happy that Lil B looks like her father because I want her to get her daddy's nose.
Lil b's facial features are somehow a combination of mine and her daddy's. It just sometimes depends on the angle and her facial expression too. Most people say that she looks like her dad. My friends say that she got my skin type and my genitals hahaha!
Why do mothers complain?
Imagine doing the hardest work from taking care of yourself and the baby inside your womb and bringing them out in the world, alive and kicking.
Imagine these:
3 months of feeling nauseous, lucky me I didn't experience that much.
3 months of food cravings, frustrations, and hormonal imbalance (or being emotional).
3 months of gaining so much weight, back pains, difficulty in breathing, and walking, or some pregnant women even get to be on bed rest.
After that you experience labor pains, lucky me again I didn't get much.
Pain in normal delivery just to get the baby out so you can recover quickly.
Some mothers like me had C-sections or emergency C-sections like me and took a bit longer to recover because of the stitches.
To breastfeeding moms, imagine the pain for the first few weeks when you first breastfeed your child.
Sleepless nights
And many more!
I know right! I am not trying to scare upcoming moms perhaps take this as a warning or a preparation.
It's not like we are comparing the mom's and dad's contributions to bringing out a child in the world but we want to at least get some credit by at least letting them look like us, the mother. HAHAHAH!
Kidding aside...
After one year of accepting and loving the fact that Lil B gets most of her physical features from her dad, what I am more frustrated about is she doesn't get to say MAMA or MOMMY. But she knows and calls her dad, **dada** or **daddeh**, especially when my husband gets home. She's rushing to the door and shouts Dadaa.
There were a few, A FEW TIMES when I try to tell her 'say mommeh, mama, memee' usually she does say it one time, most of the time she doesn't, just ignores me like Mommy isn't me.
What I find even more frustrating is she's now trying to imitate some sounds, names, and words that she hears or we ask her to say. One time, she heard the advertisement on Youtube of **Lazada**. You imagine the tone 'la-zada', she copied the tone and said LAAAA. She suddenly stopped because my husband reacted, but every time that she hears that ad, oh boy, she says 'ada'.
Can you imagine my frustration? She can even say or copy a few words but Mommy or Mama is still a no-go. She even said '**Chair**' one time, she can say 'chuus' (**shoes**). She can say 'duuuug' (**dog**). Last night we were watching The Good Doctor before going to bed and I asked her, 'Baby do you want to be a doctor?', she nodded and said, 'dotor' (doctor).
Now can someone tell me why Mama or Mommy is so difficult for her to say? HAHAHAHAH just kidding.

As Typhoon Karding landed last night, I've been checking on my friend back in my hometown to see how's everything going. Unfortunately, I slept earlier than usual and the last message I saw in our group chat was she already transferred some of her things to our other bestie's house. She still needs to stay at home in case a flood hits. I am hoping for everyone's safety.
Whew! I wasn't able to clean and even wash the dishes last night because Lil B was being clingy and I fell asleep with her. Anyway, I already prepared my husband's breakfast as he will go somewhere again, job calls, and I browsed through my saved articles tab. I almost forgot that I did save a few prompt articles that I enjoyed reading and plan to do as well.

Me just trying to write something out of the blue and I think the weather is affecting my mood. Does this happen to you too?
The weather was a bit gloomy yesterday, it was kind of drizzling all day. Drizzle is not bad thinking that Tacloban is one of the places where typhoon usually hits.
Anyway, I have saved several topics since last week and I can't seem to finish. Maybe it was just because I noticed something with my husband last night. I feel like this is also the time to get this off of my chest.
In my previous article, I mentioned that we are having a financial crisis. Just a heads up, I am not here to brag and for a first-time mom, I worry a lot about what's gonna happen and what we will need to do to recover.
I know that no one's to blame for such a situation where our family is in but like my husband always says and reminds me, 'prevention is still the best medicine.'
The In-laws
It was last July when Lil B and I were able to meet my in-laws in person. Everything was fine but what made us rush to Cebu immediately was that my mother-in-law was in ICU. I told my husband to let us go to Cebu so soon for a few reasons:
He doesn't need to worry about where to go on his days off from work. He may have trouble deciding if he will go back to Marikina or Cebu.
If we go to Cebu, we will be able to save money instead of my husband going back and forth from wherever.
Thinking about the worse thing that could happen and given the diagnosis of my MIL's condition at that time, I told him that my MIL knowing that we were just nearby, might be able to recover soon.
We'll be together as a family.
MIL was already more than a week in the ICU since we got there. She was confined in Chong Hua Hospital and had several doctors monitoring her condition.
Finances
**Hospital bills**
We didn't have any problem contributing to my MIL's hospital bills, she's our mother of course. However, one person who got me pissed off was my SIL.
She wants my husband to loan 1m to cover the hospital expenses. I was like, wait is it gonna be all on you? We can't even afford to loan 1m then, nothing will be left for our monthly or even daily expenses. Meanwhile, her husband is an Air Force US veteran, then why is it gonna be all on us? Don't worry I didn't argue with my SIL.
My husband told them that we can't loan 1m, even if we can there be nothing left for us. We are just starting our own family and did my sister think that we are still investing in other things for Lil b's future?
When my husband told her that perhaps we can loan at least half, there was still something said. SIL has a friend who was able to loan a million pesos, yadah yadah yadah...and then told my husband that he just lacks *mindset and budgeting skills.* Again I was like, is she nuts? Coming from someone who's a full-time mom and has an eatery that looks like a hobby fulfilled, then when we got to Cebu most food and fruits are spoiled or about to spoil. Leftovers are super leftovers. Who's lacking budgeting skills or wasting money?
My husband got pissed off more and didn't say more. To end the conversation he just applied just in case MIL can be discharged soon, they already have the money.
He also gave a little amount for the remaining cash we had left before we went to Tacloban. Little did I know, aside from the amount that my husband loaned he already gave 100k beforehand. He took it out from his/our savings it was our remaining money our emergency money.
**Financial crisis**
Now we don't have any money left. We haven't paid for the trip going to Cebu and Tacloban, it was changed on my husband's credit card. We needed to borrow money from my friend just so we won't suffer from the penalty piling up.
We are minimizing our expenses just so we can get by, paycheck to paycheck. Even if we do the budgeting, it's still not enough for our expenses, rent, bills, house, food, Lil B's supplies, and laundry.
I was trying to cut off expenses that I can do alone. One was using Lil b's cloth diapers again so we don't have to buy disposables, another was I tried to do the laundry myself, by handwashing them, even cutting off food for myself.
I got tired mainly because I don't have enough time to do the laundry on my own. I am sure that some moms here can relate to how clingy your child can be. I was able to do that for a week and got burnt out, even broke down.
Family issues
***Felt robbed***
We actually felt robbed this year, not because my husband drained our savings. It was an issue when my MIL was first hospitalized this year, that was around January. She was hospitalized due to severe malnutrition.
To make the financial conversation short, my husband took care of the bill and sent the money to her sister's bank account.
A few weeks after, my husband went to Cebu unexpectedly. When FIL sent a picture with my husband, his sister messaged her. Basically, what happened was FIL told my husband that he paid for the hospital bill and left wondering where did the money my husband sent to his sister go. Then SIL messaged him that she'll give the money back but it would be better if they will use it to seal their house with glass doors for MIL's condition.
However, when MIL was hospitalized months ago and when we got there nothing was renovated in their house. The big question again is, where did the money go?
***Assigning shares without asking.***
My SIL got a habit of bossing around my husband. She tells her how much and what my husband should do or contribute when it comes to money, WITHOUT asking if we can afford it or if it's doable. If he contradicts it, negative side comments will be heard from her.
***Half blood***
My husband and her sister weren't full-blooded siblings but he never treated her as a half-sister. Instead, his sister was the one who treats him differently. SIL's father died and she was the firstborn child.
My husband tells me that she's been that way ever since. It may not be intentional but it looks like she's been like that ever since.
I also hate that she kind of blames my husband for their mother's worsening condition. She mentioned that their mother can't go out that much because my husband is using the car. Another thing was they can't renovate their house to put glass doors because FIL was still paying for the car at that time. AGAIN when she received and mentioned the money that my husband gave her, where did the money go?
***Always right***
She's also one of the people who think they are always right.
When MIL was first hospitalized due to malnutrition, I told my husband to suggest a psych consultation cause it could be depression that could lead to an eating disorder. No one listened and they just blamed the neighbor's grill, MIL's asthma, and of course other things mentioned above.
I was like if they just listened to my husband their mother's condition shouldn't have worsened.
***More demands***
We actually don't mind sharing and for sure my husband will find a way just to make his mother feel better. There was just one more thing, one more impractical thing that SIL asked my husband.
Once MIL will be discharged, they will rent a condominium from her friend that will cost 18k per month, plus a caregiver and other medical equipment that MIL needs. Caregiver is fine but why get an 18k condo that we thought was just near the hospital while there are other apartments with a cheaper rate?
I know that they just want the best for MIL but SIL asked if we can still contribute on a monthly basis. I was shocked to know the details, I read it from their conversation and I told my husband that we basically will have nothing to eat after getting loan after loan. They will have to shoulder that if they wish to push it, plus they were the ones who have better finances than us.
My husband just talks to his father about any issues too and he mentioned or asked why in a condo. If they have renovated the room with the money she took from us, they wouldn't have to rent another place. Why in a condo? Why spend on luxury rooms so that we can spend more on MIL's medicine and medical needs?
Listening won't hurt, and taking consideration and making compromises won't hurt either. We all have the same goal to get MIL better.
I am just gonna end it right here. I know that no family is perfect. I am not saying that I have better relationships with my sisters but I just don't like how they look down on my husband. He was just too kind to just take all the words and look away. I want him to fight especially now that he has his own family.
I am thankful that I got to meet them personally but I wish that they could treat my husband differently.

I can still remember every Friday grade schoolers wear PE uniforms. It's a Physical Education activity day whenever the week ends.
Pwede tagalog muna tayo, hapit lang ako ng isang article. Kanina pa ko nakatunganga sa isang tab dito sa browser ko. Nakagawa na ko ng Hive account last week kaso wala pa akong post. Thanks nga pala kat @Ayane-chan and @DennMarc sa help. Hindi ko pa sya masyado naeexplore kasi kahit kapag gabi at tulog na ang bossing (Lil B) ko eh, umiiyak iyak pa din bigla. Katulad nito, dapat sa pc ako gagawa ng article at sisimulan ko na yung intro blog ko sa Hive kaso iyak iyak na naman sya.
Anyway back to the regular channel...
Naka duty pa din si husband hanggang next week kaya solo flight muna kami ni Lil B sa bahay. Honestly, hirap ako patulugin sya ng maaga kasi yung energy nya eh ang hirap ubusin. Minsan kapag nakakalaro nya yung anak ng kapitbahay namin, sinasabi saken nung nanay nya na late na nakakatulog anak ko kasi naririnig nila yung iyak. By the way, nasa apartment kami na studio type ang units so magkakarinigan talaga kaming magkakatabi na unit. May baby din sila kaya lang parang feeling ko nagpapahiwatig sya na patulugin ko ng maaga si lil b. Kaya sinabi ko sa asawa ko at sarili ko na lalabas kami tuwing hapon kahit saan, kahit lakad lang papuntang tindahan ganun.
FRIYAY!!
Kapag day off ng asawa ko, nagjojogging sya or tambay lang kami sa tabing dagat. Pero ngayon, ibang level ang energy ni madam kaya sabi ko try kaya namin magMall kahit saglit lang ikot ikot lang.
Walking distance lang ang Robinson's from sa apartment, mga 10min walk kapag mabagal ganun.
Kahit kaming dalawa lang ni Lil B. Makakita man lang sya ng ibang view paminsan minsan. Syempre suot namin ang twinning outfit na gawa ng mother ko.
Actually dun na kami naglunch. Nakatulog kasi si madam pati ako nakatulog at 2pm na kMi nagising tapos di ako nakapagluto. Sabi ko magMcdo kami para makapaghappy meal kami at baka may books na available sa happy meal. Sadly, wala palang Mcdo doon. Sa Jollibee naman andaming nakapila, kaya sa KFC na lang kami kumain.
O ayan, dance sya nung tumugtog yung The Feels by Twice.
After namin kumain, pumunta kami sa Tom's world. Ayun gusto nya drive drive na naman.
Tapos may play booth doon, pinagplay ko sya doon para mas mapagod sya HAHAHAHA.
Gusto nya yung luto luto, baka namiss nya na yung mga toys nya na naiwan sa lolo't lola sa Marikina.
Natawa din ako kasi umiyak sya nung may kumuha nung upuan hahahaha.
Kaya binigyan na lang sya ulit nung nagbabantay doon ng upuan.
Nakakatuwa din kasi yung kaisa isang book nya dito eh napunit na nya, tapos kagabi paulit ulit kami ng read.
Bigla din kami nagulat kahapon ng asawa ko kasi bigla syang dumaldal. Ablablabla kala mo nakakapagsalita na ih hhahahha
30-mins lang sya doon kasi sinundo kami ni daddy para sabay pauwi. Muka namang nagenjoy magluto luto si madam, naglakad lakad na lang kami while waiting kay daddy.
Pero isa lang din kinagulat ko, Friday pero andaming bata sa mall. saka ko na realize, iba na nga pala ang curriculum ngayon.

Dahil hindi ako mahilig magmall, si Lil B na lang muna makakapagenjoy sa mall.

One of the things that I am afraid of is the dark. I don't know but my heart beats fast and I feel like being suffocated whenever I'm in total darkness. It feels like I am dead.
Well, this article is not about my fears or the darkness in my life but I am just simply continuing the 30-day writing challenge and I am on my 25th day!

The first word that popped up in my mind was *DARK*. I cannot recall why I thought of that or maybe because while I was breastfeeding Lil B the lights were off? Perhaps I consider stress as darkness?
Anyway, here's the 11th picture when I googled the word 'dark'.
This is a Netflix Tv Series, a German Tv series. I first heard about this from my sister. This is one of the shows that will f***-up your mind. Sorry for the word but that's just the best way to describe it.
Have you watched Inception, Interstellar, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Black Mirror, Butterfly effect, Mr. Robot, You, or Sense8? These are just a few movies or shows that are mind-boggling.
Dark on the hand is on another level. My sister gave a gist of what the story is about and my initial reaction was 'WTF!'

I haven't watched it because it's German and for sure I will need to pay deep attention to the details. I was able to watch a few episodes when my sister visited us at home one time. I was intrigued by more details and rather than asking her about the full story, I will definitely watch it. My husband was also familiar with the series but hasn't watched it yet.
Plot
It's about 2 kids that went missing in a small town in Germany. As their families look for them, little did they know their family tree gets messed up.
HINT: there's time traveling involved.

This TV series was first aid on 2017, it already has 3 seasons on Netflix and of course still running.
I will not spoil other details because again fellas, I haven't watched it from the start so I am looking for the right time. Probably while Lil B is asleep so I can focus on the story.

After that incident we kind of lost trust in some people here in Tacloban. Me and my husband are not generalizing but some professionals here feel so entitled or so important as if clients or patients should be the ones to adjust because we need them. We basically got pissed off and decided to go to the health center.
Private pedia immunization vs public health center immunization
The only difference is you can get FREE immunization from public health centers. However, not all immunization is free. Some immunization is optional and if you have the money to get them, why not?

Why did we decide to go to a doctor?
My husband and I discussed where should we get Lil B's immunization when she was just a newborn. I gave birth to the same hospital my sister did and we also have the same pedia doctor, I got an idea of how much each immunization costs. I was shocked and I told my husband if we can just go the public health center. That time restrictions are confusing and we were afraid that going to a public health center may expose Lil B to more people. My husband decided to get the shots from our pedia doctor instead.
Then when the restrictions were not that tight anymore, my husband still wants Lil B to get all the vaccine that she can get.
MMR 2, done!
Since my husband and I decided to go to a public health center, I asked our neighbor because they have a 6month old baby. They told me where to go and we went there last Monday.
It was almost noon when we got there and they already had a cut-off. We asked instead and they told us to go to the Tacloban City Hospital on Wednesdays.
Yes, yesterday we went there. My husband had to go to Samar early and he just dropped us off to Tacloban City Hospital, then we can just commute going back home.
We got there around 8.30 am and we were third in line.
They weighed her in and measured her height, then waited for a few minutes to get the shot.
The nurse/staff there checked her baby book to see what else Lil B can get. Instead of getting only MMR2 vaccine, they gave her IPV vaccine and a dose of Vitamin A too.
Of course, she cried after injecting the vaccine but as soon as I let her hold her baby book she stopped.
I find it funny too because the nurse mentioned that Lil B looks like Solenn and Nico Bolzico's daughter, Thylane. Well, I am not sure about that HAHAHA!
Public health center vaccines are for free but they are also seeking donations.
My husband already mentioned this and when he gave me money, he doesn't have a small bill or change. He gave me his coin pouch and a thousand peso bill. Since I don't have a smaller bill, I was observing other people there on how much they will donate. I saw that the other mother put 20 peso bill/s there but I don't know exactly how much she donated.
Right after we get the shots, we seated outside to give way to the other babies in line and I also needed to sort out our things before going home. To my surprise, one of the staff followed me outside and asked for a donation. I wasn't dissing it off because I already noticed that she put the box on the front table after they weighed Lil B. I was just surprised that she had to follow me outside and literally ask for a donation. As soon as I sorted out our things, I checked my purse and see how many coins do I have. I decided to give them five 20 pesos coins instead. It's still a big savings for us since we got the vaccines for free. I just wished that they weren't that a little aggressive on donations.
Off we go!
I feel like I need to explain why she's only wearing a cap while the sun is so up high. HAHAHAHA! My husband reminded me to get the umbrella but I told him no because I got my hands full already. I can't probably hold it while I have Lil b with me, because she walks for a little then asked to be carried, and then walks for a few minutes.
I decided to go to 7/11 just around the corner and saw something gold.
Yes! Coke! I know it's not the regular Coca Cola but that will do for I've been craving it for weeks now. That's enough to satisfy me.
Language barrier
I was actually shy to talk to locals here. I don't speak Waray, I know that they can understand and speak Tagalog but I am still shy for some reason.
There was a jeepney waiting across the road and I seated behind the driver just to avoid any misunderstandings. Handed the fare and where we will get off. Good thing that the landmark was just Robinson's mall.
That was our first and last visit to a public health center as the MMR2 vaccine is the last one for 1yr old toddlers. I know that there are still boosters available but due to our financial issues, we can't get them anymore. Well, at least Lil B's vaccine is complete for her age.

**I failed the Driver's License exam.**
Yes, you read it right. It was unexpected and a little bit rushed too so failing was somehow expected but not expected. Sorry for getting you confused.
Let me share what happened to my application months ago.
**July 2022, Application for Non-professional License**
I finished my practical driving course last June. I didn't immediately apply for a new driver's license (non-professional) because I wasn't able to find time as it may take a day to process. My medical certificate already expired as it was only valid for a month. I needed to get another one as a requirement for the application.
I went to LTO Marikina Branch to apply and initially planned to get a medical certificate from there too. Unfortunately, the branch only processes student permit applications and driver's licenses/registration renewals. I was instructed to go to the main office on East Avenue. I was shocked that I needed to go there. It was about lunchtime and I was thinking if I should go there. Instead, I saw a clinic across the street and got a medical certificate. I decided to go to LTO's main office the next day.
LTO
I went to LTO's main branch at 8 am so I can finish in the afternoon at least. Upon submitting the requirements, they handed me this.
I was told that I can go in at 11.45 am as my schedule for the exam. I called my husband if I should wait there or if I can go back instead. He told me to go home so I can take care of Lil B for a bit and go back before lunch.
I didn't eat lunch before going back to LTO which I regret. I got back there on time and they let me in.
Papers in process, in line, paid for the examination fee.
Yeah. Since this is the main office, it is expected that there will be a lot of people. Then as I progress from window to window, I saw this.
GULP! 4 hours?!?! I wasn't feeling good that day. I woke up early, I was tired, didn't have lunch, and I had my period at that time too. I needed to wait. I needed to get my driver's license before we go Cebu, so I waited.
Examination
Before I can go to the practical exam, I need to pass the written exam first. I was very tired, hungry, and low on energy. I got up immediately as soon as I heard my name called. I got into the examination room but guess what, I still waited for a few minutes once a computer station becomes available.
I was talking to my best friends while waiting in line. I joked that I might fail the test, I am not the kind of person who excels on tests so this also got me worried. I still conditioned my mind that I can pass the written exam because the next day will be our flight to Cebu.
After no longer than five minutes, I got up and seated in front of the computer, and logged in. I was kind of surprised that they had a facial validation for the applicant. There's a webcam and if you cover your face with a mask or even with eyeglasses, it can log out.
I was like, there you go let's get on with it so I can go home.
Passing score
The written exam is 60 items and the passing score is 48. You have a time limit of 1 hour for the whole exam or a minute per question. No worries, you can go back to the questions you've answered so you can check or change your answers. You can also choose from taking the exam in English or Tagalog. As for me, I chose English.
I took the test for about 45-50 minutes, and even reviewed and changed some of my answers. I didn't review, by the way, I was that confident but I was more confident for the practical exam.
Here I am about to click on the Submit button and wait for the result. Boom, RED, FAILED.
I got out and told the staff my score and asked me to retake the exam the next day, but I couldn't, we will be on our way to Cebu by then so yeah no driver's license for me.
My medical certificate expired again
My medical certificate was valid for 2 months and my husband told me to re-apply once we are in Tacloban.
We went back and forth from Cebu to Leyte for a couple of weeks. We were looking for an open schedule on our calendar before my medical certificate expires. We had some difficulty finding an available day as some days on his rest days were even occupied by work. I can't just go alone there because I don't have anyone to look after Lil B.
We planned to go to LTO last Sept 15, however, there was a problem with my husband's work so he needs to sort it out. I told him to prioritize his work before my driver's license application. I can just re-apply and get another medical certificate once we already have the time.
Stuck in Student driving permit
Yes, I am disappointed in myself when I failed. I even told my best friends that I knew that I would fail. I know that I will ace the practical driving exam. I am much more of an application-type of person.
For now, I still have my student driving permit and I still get to drive. My husband and I can already take turns driving, so he won't be so tired. I am glad that I get to drive in the province instead of practicing driving in the city, the only thing is there are a lot of '*Kamote*' (reckless/irresponsible) drivers in the province that we don't get why.
I got to drive 3x for at least an hour without heavy traffic. The recent one was when we went to Abuyog. I only let myself drive during the daytime daytime B is in a good mood, once she gets fuzzy it's our time to switch seats again.

Honestly, I was sad, disappointed, and shy that I didn't pass the written exam but my husband comforted me that it could happen. Even if I failed, I can retake and get my driver's license soon.
I am getting better and more confident to drive but my husband still bashes me when I park the car. HAHAHA!

Nature is really the best thing that can help you ease your mind. Imagine just by looking at a tree, sky, sea, or animals passing by can already lift or change your mood.
I don't know what stage of postpartum I am in but I do feel like I was about to go insane at some point. I don't know who's to blame or what to do but one thing I know is I need to get out of the house to breathe.
Since it's my husband's day off, I asked him if he wants to jog so Lil B and I can join too. Good thing he's not going to do any errands from his office so he can jog. Well, lucky us we can go along.
It's Lil B's 16th month yesterday!

September of last year was her 4th month and that was the time we started dressing her up as an Anime character. She was Nezuko but now I think she's really turning into little Nezuko. Char!!! It was also her first month where I started posting articles about it.
Anyway, this little Nezuko grew a year older and motherhood is getting more challenging. For a person who lacks patience about things, I am sure you can imagine what and how I am feeling. All feelings mixing, piling up, and since my husband saw me crying the other day he decided to jog and somewhere near the seaside. Even if our budget is getting tight, he still decided to bring us out of the house, plus we only have a few more days to bond as he'll go back to work next week.
Here's what happened over the weekend.
Saturday
There are a few places where Daddy can go for a quick run. He decided to run to an area along the way to the Tacloban airport.
While he jogs, Lil B and I walked along and checked out the sea. Of course, I took a little too many photos too.

Sunday
The Daddy doesn't feel like taking a jog today. I just made him jog so he can get a routine while he's taking his days off. We were actually discussing our itinerary. Go to LBC, go to a laundry shop, the jog or get a haircut. We were battling between taking a jog or a haircut. I don't mind him taking a haircut because I will have one too, I need to shave my undercut because it's getting irritating. Well, I forced him to run and just get a haircut on Monday because there will be a few people visiting the salon or barber's shop during weekdays.
Since he let me drive, I took him to the place where he jogged yesterday.

Art is everywhere. Art is you and me. Art could be pleasing to the eyes, could be confusing, or could be scary to some.
How do you define Art? What is the importance of Art?
When I was still a student, I dreamt of having the skill to create art. Drawing, painting, and styling but unfortunately I wasn't blessed with such talent. My sister had her drawing skills from our father which I wished I had too. I was blessed with dancing skills though, just another form of art. At least I still get to appreciate art.
I remember @Jijisaur and a few other users here who are very talented when it comes to these things but what I am about to share is art in a different form. I don't usually go to museums and this may be the first time that I've been to one.

Nagpunta kami ng isa sa mga ex jowa ko doon as a celebration ng anniversary namin, around 2017 ata tong mga pictures nato . Maiba lang ba kami ng gawain kasi di naman ako mahilig lumabas or magdate. So ayun, isshare ko lang yung konting pictures na narecover ko. Di ko na isasali yung mga pictures na may muka namin baka mamaya magmuka pa akong nakakamiss ng taong at isipin nyo na di ko mahal asawa ko HAHAHHA! Pero friends kami ngayon with respect sa kanya kanyang buhay.

Oo may pool doon, hindi pwede magswimming pero may mga upuan naman sa gilid. Eto ata yung part na pang photoshoot eme eh.

May mga parts doon na paintings lang, sculptures, political arts, scrap arts, at kung ano ano pa. Sulit yung pagpunta mo doon kasi kapag napagod ka pwede kang umupo at magchill muna bago pumunta sa ibang area.
