Life is unfair for a reason `07.10.23` *I snapped. I raged. I cried.* Life is unfair, that's the reality. Every person, situation, or everything is unique and has its purpose. It's up to each of us to see if the glass is half full or half empty. Some of you may agree that in good times, we see life is half full. In bad times, it's half empty. It's always how positive we see things or not. Easy to say but the ***battle is always within yourself***. Yesterday, I snapped, raged, and cried. There are triggers to these snaps and rages. I would always ask *why?* Why do I have these snaps? Why do I have these rages? Why me? Why did I do things that I shouldn't have done? After the storm, I would always feel guilty. It affects me and my family, it affects me as a mother and a wife, as a person. What happened? I was triggered when I asked my husband to do something so we can have lunch. It was almost past 12nn and I was cleaning up my nails. My husband was always bothered by me biting my nails. It may be a mannerism but at the same time a sign of anxiety. I told him to heat up the food but Lil B keeps on following him. I told him to play a movie or something on the TV to keep Lil B distracted so he can do what he needs to be done. He ended up watching the movie for a few minutes too. I reminded him again, but after 2 minutes, he watched it again. I called him and asked him again. Now he quickly stood up but I felt like he was annoyed by my tone and when Lil B followed him, he suddenly grabbed or carried her and shut the door. I felt triggered. From there, I snapped. I grabbed the door, smelled poop on her diaper, and got the wipes. He looked at me and said 'She's following me'. I grabbed Lil B and kind of threw her on the bed, screamed lightly, and threw things within my reach. I was horrible. It wasn't me. It was my monster that continues to haunt me. Why did you come out again? I don't need you. Don't take over me, please. Communication Me and my husband already discussed what happened. Again, I just felt bad for me and Lil B. I just find things generally unfair for mothers and fathers, women and men. Certain unfair things complement one's unfairness. Does that make sense? Now I haven't finished doing my nails and bit the other nails.

Holy Week 2023 `07.06.23` `This is a super late post, drafted in April` It's been a while since I did something for the Holy Week. My family used to go to Bicol for a Holy Family tradition. When I started working at a call center company, working on holidays are not new to me. Since 2016, I haven't spent Holy Week elsewhere aside from working. Now that I am a full-time wife and stay-at-home mom for 2 years now, I still haven't done or been anywhere during Holy Week. April is also my birth month. I would like to spend my birthday with my family this year. I asked my husband not to celebrate my birthday on the day itself as he still has work duty. Good thing the following week was his days off. Here's how we spent our Holy Week. **Good Friday** ***Visita Iglesia*** This is a Filipino practice during Holy Week to visit at least 7 (or 14) churches and pray. We left our house a little bit later than scheduled and ended up only visiting 5 churches. Our Lady of Guadalupe church St. Joseph Parish St. Vincent Ferrer catholic church Metropolitan Cathedral of our Lord's Transfiguration Our Lady of Fatima Parish Church It was our first time doing this *panata*, my husband and I weren't religious enough to do this regularly, but we agreed that we should do this during Holy Week. There's something about churches that ease us. **Easter Sunday** ***Easter Egg Hunt*** My husband and I discussed whether we should participate in their office's Easter Egg Hunt event. We thought we are too late to register and decided to drop by and watch the event instead. I was getting a little bit pissed because I wanted to plan or schedule ahead of time, but my husband was so spontaneous to decide on the day itself. Good thing they still let us join and we were not hoping to get easter eggs, we only wanted to get the loot or toys for children for the said event. It's a happy meal hahaha! Look at this happy baby! The Easter Egg hunt ended at lunchtime and we decided to go to a resort to chill and celebrate my birthday. My baby used to love soaking in the waters before but now she seemed scared even if she has floaters. Hive Earnings spent `01.03.23` My first Hive earnings was spent right away! I missed having a little of my own money before the BCH went down drastically a year ago. Since I've withdrawn my Hive earnings the other day, I spent it on a few things for little b and myself. It's been a while since I've bought something for myself. The other day, we went to Parkmall Cebu in Mandaue. I've been asking my husband to go to any UkayUkay (thrift shop) because I barely have good clothes and I've been struggling to find shorts that will fit me. There's a lot of cheap and nice shorts that I can purchase online, but my problem is it might not fit me. My thighs has been my problem ever since, that's why I prefer buying pants or shorts that I can fit in person. Anyway, my husband told me that there's an ukay ukay in Parkmall. When we got there I told him that it's not ukay ukay, it's a tiangge-like stalls. Checked out a few stalls but I didn't see shorts that fits my preference and budget. There's a Miniso store and we browsed items or I looked for a toy for Lil B. I saw this and checked the price on rack. It says 159 pesos or ($3). I took it to the counter and when the cashier scanned it, the price was 299. Omg, I still bought it for my Lil B as she's always throwing most of her toys. I felt disappointed that I wasn't able to buy something for myself and I saw a Surplus outlet. I browsed some items and saw some high waist shorts. I tried some and decided to buy to pairs. Just a little treat for myself and then when I was about to go to the counter, I saw a panty set hahaha! It's been so long since I had a new pair and I only have enough underwear for a week. I grabbed one pack went to the counter. Sometimes I feel guilt when I wanted to buy something for myself. It's not a crime to treat yourself so you can still feel YOU again.

Successful Withdrawal on Hive `06.30.23` What's up Read. cash! It's nice to be back again but I might still not be as active as I was before. I just wanted to go back to my old routine of blogging. I just want to share that I am happy today as I have successfully withdrawn my Hive earnings. I have attempted several times to try or just to know how to withdraw my earnings here but the Lo needs more attention and I can't focus on how to withdraw my earnings. Taoist Temple quick tour `04.29.23` During my husband's Christmas break last year, I admit that we kind of felt like we didn't maximize our stay in Cebu. In his more than a week of holiday break, he was busy of finding a work around on his duty there. It was pretty stressful for him too that's why I asked if we can go somewhere like a quick tour nearby Mabolo, Cebu. We went to the **Cebu Oceanpark** and on Christmas Day, I checked any attractions nearby and I saw the Taoist Temple which is located in Lahug, Cebu City just inside the Beverly Hills area. https://read.cash/@Micontingsabit/park-near-the-ocean-cebu-oceanpark-2022-0ee77eeb Before we went there, we dropped by his colleague to return some stuff my husband borrowed. The temple was just a few minutes away from there too. **How we went there?** From our location from his friend's office, it was supposed to be a few minutes walk. However when we reached the gate of Beverly Hills, the guards didn't let us in. They informed us that we needed to ride a taxi to go in. I suppose that's for the village's safety but not really convenient for us. We waited at the gate for a taxi to pass by and ride. It took us more than 10minutes of waiting because some taxi drivers are picky (only in the Philippines). It's just almost 2 minutes ride from the gate and cost us 80 pesos for the ride. Lil B was still sleepy at that time, look at her chinita eyes hihi. Entrance fee There is no entrance fee. You just need to look for a ride to go there inside. As soon as we arrived, I saw the stairs and didn't think of it. Well, the stairs killed my knees. I have to let Lil B walk by herself as she loves climbing stairs too but when she's tired, daddy will carry her of course. We looked around and there are a few spots closed for viewing. The view was nice and quiet. There were only a few people and some of them are there to pray. Some spot where they pray, cameras or taking picture is prohibited. We need to respect their religion too. Here are a few photos of the spots we captured there. This the view at the peak of the temple. Who's up for a dump? `04.05.23` Photo dump time my friends! Since it's been a while since rusty and most users took a hiatus, it's now time to bring back what I used to do. I wasn't able to post a photo dump photos for the last 3 months, January, February and March. Now I am gonna dump a few photos stuck on my phone before I backup the photos on my phone gallery again. Let's go! January **January 10** Was the first time we got to pass by the San Juanico Bridge. It has been 6 months since we stayed in Tacloban and we haven't visited the San Juanico Bridge until January. **January 12** Look at Lil B playing with her box toy house and bringing along some of her toys in. She made sure that every toy fits in hahaha! **January 18** This was the day when Lil B and I left daddy to go back to my parents house in Manila. Daddy dropped us to the airport because he still have work duties. It's sad that we need to leave Daddy because his boss didn't give him a day off that time, he was on duty every day for 3 months. **January 19** We got back in Manila and my mother wants to get Lil B a hair cut. **January 27** Hey, I needed a haircut too! **January 29** I visited my friends in Cainta and had our despidida/bday celebration for our friend who is now overseas. February **Feb. 2** Lil B got her toy Jablin (Jollibee) from my sister. **Feb. 9** My husband's friend invited us to the mall so his kids and Lil B can have playtime. Same day when my mother made Lil B a terno outfit. **Feb. 16** My husband felt bad for us not celebrating Valentine's day but he ordered something and I got surprised. The message on his gift got me teary eyed at that time. **Feb 19.** Looks like Lil B likes to play guitar too. Don't worry, mommy's here to teach you when you grow up soon. **Feb.22** We suddenly decided to tag along my aunt who lives in Manila where Manila Zoo was just nearby. It's just a street away. March **March 1** We visited my sister and brought along other baby stuff cause she's pregnant. **March 9** This was the day when I got my driver's license. **March 17** My father tries to put Lil B to sleep. Obviously he can't because Lil B likes to play with her lolo more hahaha! **March 21** Travelled back to Tacloban so we can be with Daddy again. We stayed in Manila for good 2 months unexpectedly. **March 27** Now the princess donut is playing with her toys again. How we celebrated our 2nd anniversary `04.04.23` Celebrations can be big or small. For me, I wanted a small celebration as much as possible. The important thing for me is I have the special people in my life with me. I wasn't fond of doing something grand for any type of celebration. I mean, it's fun it you can do it in such way like going out of town, eating out, doing a surprise, etc. I can clearly remember during our wedding day, we had a DIY civil wedding and only a few people were invited. I don't like having so many people around me and inviting people who I think would just criticize our wedding itself. When my husband and I got married in 2021, we did't get a chance to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary together. We had an LDR celebration because he's working in the province. This year I am happy that we got to celebrate it together. I searched for a good spot that we can go to for a simple dine out and of course Lil B will like. I looked for 2 spots so we can have a back up plan just in case. Oh boy, good thing I did search for a 2nd place and it was just beside our first option. My husband had work in the morning so while waiting for him to come home, I got to strum a bit.. **BALAY NI ROMANA** We initially planned to go here but when we got there it was closed. Unfortunately, they are open during Tuesdays to Sunday. We went there on a Monday. So here goes our back up plan... ANESHA'S FOREST GRILL Balay ni Romana and Anesha's Forest Grill was just a few minutes away from San Juanico bridge. Anesha's Forest Grill was just beside Balay ni Romana so we don't have to go far when we saw that it was closed for the day. The grill was was known to mountaineers and they organize treks too. We went there during lunch time and realized that it wasn't the best time to go there as the heat was on! They have nipa huts, a few pictorial spots, and they also have rooms for overnight stays. The place was actually decent enough for mountaineers but it's a little bit dangerous for kids to hangout with. You will need to pay extra attention if you will. The landscape was not flattened and it still feels like a hill. One spot was also next to a cliff. Food We ordered lechon manok (grilled chicken) for 270 pesos ($6), french fries (almost $2), and halo halo for 100 pesos ($2). The grilled chicken was 9/10 for me, I can taste that it was cooked well in lemongrass and laurel leaves. Halo halo was 4/10. We asked to serve it later because it might melt but they already prepared it and left it on the counter. The ice has completely melted before we ate it. It was creamy though but it only has a few *sahog* like red beans, macapuno, langka, ang kaong. That's what got us disappointed a bit. We didn't enjoy the halo halo, it has less sahog than a typical halo halo should have. Other feedback We loved the we were the only customers that day and time. It was quiet and nice to go to a peaceful place like that. We woul've enjoyed it more if it wasn't that hot or sunny. Lil B would also love to stay to play. We still enjoyed our little anniversary celebration. We went home afterwards because of the heat of the weather, we got tired. Silent cry at night `04.03.23` Lovely day and I am sure most of you have plans for the Holy week. What are you up to? Me? I am just wondering what's on Lil B's mind. I noticed something recently and it bothers me at night. She silently cries when we were about to sleep. This is happening for almost 3 nights. This is really heartbreaking on my part because she doesn't speak clearly yet. Her vocabulary is still limited. When I am about to sleep at night, I bear a *hikbi*. The first time I noticed it, I thought that she had fallen asleep as she stopped sucking on my breast while latching. Then when I heard her silent cry, there were tears falling on her eyes. I tried to ask her what's wrong but she just looked down or stared at the window or door, not saying a thing. I told her that if she needs anything she can tell mommy but again, she doesn't speak fully yet so she just stayed quiet. Last night, she did the same thing. I told her to hug mommy and she did. I even kept the lights on for the thought she might be scared with no lights on too. She kept quiet again and I asked her if she wants to watch a movie. I played her favorite, The Boss baby until we both fell asleep. What's happening Lil b? I hope you can tell mommy.

Add, add, add to cart! `04.02.23` As an online shopper loves to take advantage of free shipping offers on shopping platforms like Shopee or Lazada. Since we went to the province, I barely get a free shipping discount and the shipping fee costs 3x more than the shipping fee in Metro Manila. Yes, we lessened our online shopping except for items that Tacloban doesn't have. Last January, we went back to Manila and my husband took advantage again. He asked me to buy stuff that I can bring to Tacloban so we can avail of the free shipping discounts. Here are the items we purchased while we stayed in Manila. Computer related items For my husband's laptop pen. We bought the 2TB hard drive and external hard drive from my bestie. Our computer storage is getting full and even if we have 3 hard drives installed. 1 TB Western Digital for the OS and other files partitioned, 1 TB Seagate for my files mainly for phone backup and other downloaded videos, and my husband's old 2TB hard drive for his files. My bestie sells cracked or pirated copies of computer games and movies/series. As a freebie, I asked her if she can copy kids' movies to the external hard drive and games to the 2TB hard drive. I bought a SATA cable because we don't have a spare cable to connect it and ordered a cheap rack for the HDDs. Cellphone and other gadget stuff For my phone. We don't have a computer at my parents' house but there's a very old laptop from my sister which is not in a good condition to use. That's why I bought an adapter for me to transfer files or movies downloaded from my phone to a flash drive. I found my sister's old smartwatch but there's no charger so I bought one from Shopee. We've been planning to buy a power bank but it costs much here in Tacloban. This brand is cheap and hopefully durable enough for travel. Thanks to Lil B, her daddy's watch strap broke hah hah! Other stuff I need this so I can weigh in my bag before we went back here. Hand carry bags should only weigh 7kgs. My husband has been asking me to put earrings on my other ear piercings as they might heal. I don't like stud earrings because the *pakaw* hurts. I purchased these lamps because I broke the lamp I borrowed from my sister when we went to Bulacan. This is a good buy for people who are renting so you don't have to drill a hole into the wall for a bidet holder. I purchased this because my parent's house doesn't have tiles or smooth flooring. It was still plain cement which turns to be dusty. Lil B loves to lay on the floor for some reason so yeah, we don't want a dusty Lil B, don't we? The last one is... My mother is a seamstress but she can barely make her clothes. Since they will be visiting Bicol during the Holy Week, I purchased 2 blouses for her so she can have something new to wear. Wallflower `04.01.23` Why are they staring at me? Do I look fine? Is my hair okay? I tend to get a little nervous when it comes to parties. There's this anxiety of looking good, nice, or great, what to wear, etc. Imagine going to an alumni party or a formal party, then when someone comes in it's like all eyes are on you checking on how great you look. At the same time, there's a constant worry of the questions mentioned above. I've seen a few entries and here's mine. What to wear? I am not in to fancy dresses but if there's an important event in my family, I can do look for one. I could wear something like this or the same design but different color, perhaps black and yellow my favorite. Sneakers too! Another option would be something kike this... Read.cash update blues. `03.30.31` Updates, updates! I know that most people here have seen the update on read.cash. Do you love it? Me, I love how it looks now but I miss a few features that we used to have. A few days ago, I've been spending less time on the platform for two reasons.. Spending time with my family I felt like the platform was a bit buggy. Good thing that I have drafted articles for 5 days. I was at least able to post an article a day. Looks like I will have to reserve the other articles that I drafted because we are still having issues in the platform when we had the update. I am sure that you have noticed these features: New homepage look I know that most of us were comfortable in the platform's old look. It'll take a while to get used to. I love the layout but at the same time, I wish a few features were kept. The tips received, reading length time, number of views were removed. Editing banner I remember a few days ago, some users posted that they weren't able to add photos when drafting an article. I love that they put the banner on top, it looks more neat. At the same time, it's more time consuming when I add photos. I am not sure if it's the same when you use a browser from a computer, I am using a mobile phone by the way. I have to scroll up a bit so I can add photos. Since we had the update, there are few issues that I am currently experiencing. To be honest, I have been experiencing some issues since a few days ago. Here are some: Tipping and commenting buttons I experience this the other day and thought that there must be something going on. Then I decided to browse the platform later and it was already fixed a few hours later. Now looks like most users are experiencing this now. For the meantime, there might be a few users who wouldn't want to post an article for a day or two until this is resolved. I know that we put in so much effort in posting articles but I am trying my best to interact at least. 0 rusty tips This morning @alicecalope posted about this too. My articles page doesn't load Last week I posted that I might post an article a little bit later as I can't scroll down up to my most recent article. I thought that there might be something on our internet connection as my drafted and posted articles doesn't load. I can only view one page and when I scroll down it was just loading for while. I also thought that I might have too much drafts. Mentioning users This one actually pissed me off because every time I delete a character, it doesn't do anything. Sometimes I can't type a character after this line and I have to press enter to continue the next line. Submitting to community I noticed it just now. Whenever I save my draft and come back to continue editing, the submit to community becomes blank again. I know that updates can be a little buggy and i am hoping that everything will be fixed soon. Me time went wrong `03.29.23` Me time is a luxury for most mothers **Recently...** We went back to Manila last January and when we got there. I remember I asked my mother and sister if they can look after Lil B. I need to take a nap. I woke up early for our flight and my husband wasn't with us. It was just Lil B and me who went home. I told them that this will be the first time that I'll sleep alone. My mother said *'ginusto mo yan eh',* it hit me negatively as if it was wrong to be with my own family. My sister then said '*ako nga di pa nakakatulog magisa except kung may sakit ako'* . Again, I was shocked to hear that from her too. In my mind, why would they say such things? My sister and her family are staying with her in-laws and if she gets sick, she has someone to look after her daughter. Her sister and brother-in-law are there with her. Me? My husband is always at work, don't have a time off since January when I got sick, I need to take care of Lil B alone leaving me guilty once I slept out of my sickness. Is it wrong if I chose to leave my parents just to be with my own family? I know that it's hard to be without assistance but I am trying hard even when my depression hits me and affects Lil b. Little did my mother know that I almost did a bad thing to Lil B. And that's what I am going to hear from her. One day out I and my friends scheduled a celebration as one of us is going overseas and she'll celebrate her birthday too. I told my mother that I'll go to Cainta to see them. My mother agreed that they'll look after Lil B and advised me to go home early as I can. I on the other hand wanted to make the most out of my trip as I will go to Cainta from Cavite. I visited my cousin as it was on the way to Cainta, that's why I decided to drop by. I got off the house at 9 am because Lil B woke up early. I prepared her breakfast and prepared her food or other things that my mother should need while I am gone. I have no idea how long my travel time will be and I ended up arriving at my cousin's place at 12nn. We had lunch, and chika for a bit, and around 3 pm my mother started calling me asking me if I am already on my way home. Around that time, I decided to go to my best friend's house. From around 5 pm to 6 pm my mother still kept on calling me asking and telling me to go home as Lil B is already looking for me. I wasn't getting notifications, in real time because something is going wrong on my messenger even for my husband's calls. My mother was getting pissed off. I am too, thinking for just one day I needed time for myself and now I felt even ***more*** guilty for giving myself alone time and leaving Lil B that long. Another thing is, it killed my best friend's despedida/bday celebration vibe. I booked an Angkas ride as soon as possible and got home. My thoughts at that time They can't stand taking care of Lil b because she's an active baby. She can't be easily pacified by Cocomelon or youtube videos. They need to play with her. I know that my parents are getting old but somehow it got me thinking about an incident when Lil B was just months old. I remember telling my mother that I can go back to work but I'll need help from them taking care of Lil B. She didn't say a thing, and I assumed that they can't take care of Lil B. I am not saying that they don't look after her, they do but not as long as an hour even if I do groceries which I can do for less than 30 mins. I thought, why does other grandparent love to take care of their grandchildren? Why my parents can take care of my niece longer? Is it because she's easily entertained by toys and nursery rhymes? Opening up to my sister I tried to open up with our eldest sister. She only commented that our parents can't handle it because of their age. I am not surprised, I wasn't heard. It's not that I didn't consider their age, it's just that they could've told me that they can't take care of Lil b for too long. This wouldn't be an issue to me if they did. Instead of sharing things with my sisters, I talked to one of my friends who is a single mom. Surprisingly, she listened and understand but she didn't side with me. She told me a few stuff too and got good advice from her. Cheesy weeeezy `03.28.23` Does anyone here have allergies? Food allergies? I for one do have a seafood allergy. Funny thing is, I can only eat fish but not other seafood. How did I know? I and my family found out when I was around 8yrs old. It was during October because I can clearly remember that our neighborhood used to pass around a Christ figure and October is the month dedicated to the Most Holy Rosary. Anyway, we had crabs for dinner. It was my first time eating crabs at that time. After we had dinner, we prepared to pray the rosary. While we were praying, I started sneezing. Then I find it odd because the interval of my sneeze gets shorter. Then it got worse until one sneeze lasted at least 5 seconds or more. My nose became clogged, and my eyes were swollen. After that, I never tried to eat seafood again well except for fish. My father always tells me how to get rid of the allergy, and that I should eat more seafood. But we didn't have the money to buy shrimps or crabs at that time. It was expensive. Plus, my allergy can become mild to severe up to the point that I can't breathe. Good thing it never happened to me. I just breathe through my mouth. Now that I got older, I've been wanting to eat more seafood to get rid of the allergy. Some friends advised me how to tolerate the allergy by dipping it into vinegar and putting more garlic or ginger. Thanks to them I can somehow eat seafood now! When we went back to my parent's house in Manila, we ate seafood a lot. One thing, I can only eat fresh seafood so I can have fewer allergic reactions. I am also about to share that I cooked baked/improvised cheesy *tahong (mussel)*! Here's how... **Ingredients**: Minced garlic Butter Cheese Tahong (mussels) If you don't have an oven, you can do what I did. Pan wrapped in foil with cover Preparation: Boil the mussels (tahong). It will be easier to crack it open and remove the other shell. Plus you can use the soup for later. Mix the butter and garlic. Slice or grate cheese. Put a little butter with garlic and cheese on the mussel. Put it in a pan or oven and heat it at a low temp until the butter and cheese melt or until the mussels get cooked. *Viola*! Just as simple as that. Here's the yummy cheesy tahong. *Bon appetit!* The thing is eating seafood outside or in a restaurant might be too risky for me. I can't know if the seafood is fresh or not until I eat it. Park near the ocean - Cebu Oceanpark 2022 `03.27.23` Heyow! Let's do a little travel blog for today, shall we? To be honest, I am not much of a traveler. I don't like long trips because I sleep most of the time. I was able to go to a few places because of peer pressure (just kidding!) Thanks to my friends! I'd be happy to go out of town once or twice a year, then I became a mom. I realized that if we have the time and money to travel, we should at least let her experience the things we can't afford when we were young. Now let me share about our visit to Cebu Ocean park last year. We spent the Christmas Holidays in Cebu with my in-laws and I told my husband of we can ask his father to come along with us so he can spend time with Lil B too. Entrance fee and discount The entrance fee varies during weekdays and weekends. We visited on Saturday, so the ticket costs 800 per head. We were kind of hoping to avail a discount but when we asked, the discount from my husband's work is not available anymore. I was also surprised that we have to pay for Lil B's entrance fee too. Unfortunately, kids under 2ft are free of charge. Deym, imagine a 1y/o charged for a full entrance fee huhu. Free photo There's a photo booth right at the entrance wherein you can get 2 photos for free. However, you can't get a hard copy of the pictures but you can download them online. There are photographers inside each attraction too. However, one photo costs more. 300 for each copy. My husband purchased a photo so we can give his parents a hard copy. Attractions There's a fish section. Reptile section Bird section Oceanarium And here's a picture of me and my husband, just the two of us. I missed our alone dates hahaha! We kind of felt bad because we came there around 4 pm and they closes at 6 pm. We met my husband's friends before we visited Ocean park. We were supposed to have coffee with his friends at the other mall near Sm Seaside but due to traffic, we just decided to make a U-turn and go back to SM Seaside. Bird show Unfortunately, we weren't able to watch the bird show. If we did, I am sure that Lil B will love it. The last bird shows that day is at 4pm4 must when we arrived. My FIL needs to go back home because it's my MIL's feeding time. We just roamed around the gift shop and purchased ref magnets for Lil B. I wished that we could've arrived earlier. The bird show was the main attraction as they said. We still had fun though, Lil b likes animals. I haven't been to Manila Ocean Park and I don't know if there's a big difference in the attractions. Little Food Thief `03.26.23` *Every person is different. Every situation is different. Every parenting is different.* I know that sometimes I check out how other parents deal with their children but I don't tell them what I think because I am sure that they won't like any unsolicited advice. Especially to those I am not close to or if I don't hang out with their kid. Heads up, I am just letting this out because my husband told me about his co-workers' comments when he told them that Lil B eats tomatoes and likes kalamansi. His co-worker commented that I shouldn't let Lil B eat or drink too much of it. They have a point actually but from a stay-at-home-moms perspective, that comment was unsolicited and it made me feel like they think I am doing wrong. By the way, she took the tomato from the fridge and we were surprised when we all saw her eating something. I told my husband that as if I feed Lil B tomatoes and kalamansi EVERY DAY. Honestly, I was offended. I always tell my husband that I try to balance everything with Lil B. Some of you might have known me posting about my daughter since she was a baby. Some of my husband's friends say that Lil B is skinny. Oh my gosh as if I am not feeding her well. If only they know how *takaw* Lil B is. *Disclaimer: I am not bragging* If only they know how and what she eats. Lil b eats almost everything, especially if it's soft and easy to swallow. She also doesn't like too sweet biscuits, Skyflakes that's her favorite. If only they know how Lil B loves rice, veggies, and fruits. If Lil b sees your eating something, she'll ask for one too. Most of the time, she'll climb up the table or open the fridge and get what she thinks she can eat. Sometimes I even rush to tell her to stop eating or pick up leftovers or crumbs on the floor. She would even take food from my plate. She stole a donut from the fridge once. I saw her carrying the box of donuts and eating one, then she looked guilty but smiled. One time when we were in bulacan, my kumare's nanny commented that Lil B likes candies. At that time, it was her first time eating Pochi candy, and kept asking for more. I told the nanny, that she liked the candy because she wasn't used to eating one. My husband also saw me feeding Lil b chips. I told him that I don't always give her chips or chichirya. Again, I balance what she eats. She can get a little of everything but not too much. That's what I do so that she won't be picky. Still, she remains petite. She's a very active lil girl. Well, I didn't wonder about that because I and my husband were both slim. My soulmates `03.25.23` I am missing my friends lately. Being a first-time, stay-at-home mom feels like I really turned into a different person. Inhale the future, exhale the past - part 2 `03.24.23` Another random thought to share for today. I just want to share a random something about my could-have-been relationships again. Here's the second part. I had a few relationships but most of my relationships are long term so breaking up with someone would make me feel devastated as if there's something wrong with me, with my personality. The last relationship that I had before I got married was my turning point. Before I found my husband, it was the longest time that I've been single. The last relationship traumatized me in a different way. It became toxic and I was gaslighted. After that relationship, I fooled around thinking that it might be better that way. Meeting new people, and carefully playing around before I commit. Nice to meet you. Aside from Ervil, there was another guy who I also thought I could've been with. Let me share what happened with John and me. John was also one of my wavemates, just like Ervil. I first met John on our first day of training. He was the last to come inside the room just right before our training started, then he sat behind me as it was unoccupied. He asked me if I have a pen and I find it weird because he looked straight into my eyes. If you know me, I don't make immediate eye contact with people who I just met even for a short conversation. Anyway, our first break started we went out to the smoking area and from there he started a conversation. Asked me about a few things, just a little get-to-know-each-other perhaps. He even invites me for a coffee during breaks and he even gets me a spoon and fork during lunch. Well, I do that too with the people I hang around with. I got the impression that he was making a move. After our shift, we would invite everyone for drinks. The first time we went drinking, John got drunk. As a person who usually gets drunk, I got to assist and help other people who get drunk too. I took care of him through the night and checked if my other new friends are still okay too. When he found out that I have a boyfriend, I started to feel that he was becoming distant. I didn't mind it but it was weird for me because I treat all the guys in our wave the same way. I also remember him saying that he's *sapiosexual,* which means he's attracted to intelligence. Well, I am not a smart person so he's definitely not into me. When I broke up with the gaslighter, I started drinking more. No worries, I know my limits when it comes to alcohol. They were even surprised that I drink standing up, just to manage my alcohol tolerance that way, I can be safe around the people I drink with. After a few drinking sessions, I took care of the people who gets drunk and they called me *'taga alaga ng lasing'.* Walls up I can clearly remember the last time and the moment when I put my walls up because I got scared of falling for someone again. Both of us left the company but our drinking circle would still be in touch for a session. I remember on the 23rd of December 2019, John invited me for a drink. It was pretty late but I still wanted to get out of the house and met him at a little bar nearby. He was with his brother and I asked who else is gonna come. He told me that he also invited Ervil and other friends. I was the one who came to the bar first, I thought Ervil was gonna come but didn't. No one else came. It was actually a small club and we can barely hear each other because of the loud music. I only drank 2 bottles so I can still have a decent presence of mind to go home. John's brother got drunk. We took his brother to his house and then after that, we don't know what else to do. We were on streets we weren't familiar with. He suddenly held my hand to make me feel safe as he said. We smoked a few sticks while we walked out of the place. I asked him if he can still go home safely because I am pretty sure that I can go home alone. He asked me if he can make me hatid to my house. At that moment, I knew that he was trying to be romantic. I immediately put my walls up. I told him that I'd rather stay the night with him. Yes, to hook up. That was my defense mechanism at that time. I tend to hook up with guys I don't want to fall in love with. I paid for the room too. He was also trying to be sweet as he wanted me to cuddle with him after the deed. I let him and I did, but then I put up my walls higher. We woke up and he needed to go to work that morning. It was a bit awkward for him, maybe because he wasn't used to doing a one-night stand. As I took off, I fist-bumped him as if nothing happened that night. I realized that what I did was funny or might be off for him. A could've been a long-term relationship I feel like John is the type of guy that I can go on a long-term relationship with. It's just that I felt scared and wasn't sure if we can get along. I immediately backed out without knowing. We haven't had much conversation for me to know. Plus, he's younger than I am.
