I'm Thrilled For These Two
I'm quite thrilled since this second semester I have been looking forward to two subjects, the Foreign language subject, and the Bar and Beverage Management subject.
But before anything else, I'd like to extend my gratitude to my sponsors for their support, and you can visit their accounts to read interesting piece.
You can get the whole idea of the studies just by looking at the subject title, Bar and Beverage. Obviously, this is the video meme that is circulating on social media platforms called "online inuman", but this is not what I'm after if not the whole idea of taking a step towards one of my dreams of becoming a bartender. It is not necessary for a bartender to have a high tolerance for alcohol; what matters is that you know how to mix. Of course, all mixed drinks must go through trial and error, which means getting intoxicated before learning. I want to learn as much flaring as possible because the case probably doesn't want me to flare. I bought my flaring bottle case before I started my first year, but I still don't know how to use it. That's why, with enough practice, I won't be rude all of the time, especially since we don't have enough space at home and need to be out in the field for safety.
I also participated in a mocktail brewing competition during my first year (it's a mix of non-alcoholic drinks). The base we used back then was ginger, and because I was a beginner, I'm not sure what I mixed haha, but it's okay because there was a consolation prize, so I received 100 pesos (2 dollars) for my participation. These are my personal experiences with mixing and other aspects of bar and beverage management, which is why I'm interested in this topic.
Another topic is a foreign language; I've always been good at Japanese and Italian, and the unique way they speak to me makes it enjoyable to listen to them even if I don't understand what they're saying. Having fun with mobile applications that teach the basic languages of Japanese and Italian was one of my hobbies during the pandemic's peak. I only know a few words and phrases and can't fully comprehend a conversation, but I believe that with proper tutoring and practice, I will be able to do so. Because our subject is about the basic language of Spain, we will not study either of the two languages I hope to study in our Foreign Language class this semester. Because some of the day-to-day words we Filipinos use originated in Spain, I can say that I can handle it. Like the word "lamesa" (table), what we call a table is also what they call it. However, it is still too early to say that it is simply because, as the Filipino language, there are many words that need to be focused on because some are only used in formal conversation or are deep words that are not applicable to everyday conversation.
As of now, I was able to discover the history of alcohol, where drinking alcoholic beverages have said to be used for medical purposes back then, as well as used these practices in relation to religious matters believing that it would please gods and goddesses by offering some alcohol. However, drinking in accordance with the consecration of important celebrations in our lives, which becomes the key to strengthening our communication with one another, is a significant contribution that practice has made up until now. Added to that was I was finally able to memorize Letras Del Abecedario, the Spanish alphabet. I'm kinda proud of it and I'm eager to learn further about their language. It's a shame that we'll be doing these subjects online for everyone's safety, but when you consider all of the activities we'll be doing in these subjects, it'll be more enjoyable to study physically and socially with our classmates and mentors.

I've tried to learn other local languages in my country but they've refused to enter my ears/brain....Not to talk of going foreign, I'd just go deaf😂
