Mideo's Poleteismo In The View of Ethics One of the most controversial topics in 2011 was the artist Mideo Cruz ***Poleteismo*** Exhibit, which was held at the Cultural Center of the Philippines and became the subject of debates in the fields of art, religion, and politics. *But before anything else, I'd like to extend my gratitude to my sponsors for their support, and you can visit their accounts to read interesting piece.* Mideo is a well-known artist for displaying works that make bold and provocative statements about social structures. He is also a recipient of the Cultural Center of the Philippines 13 Artists Award in 2003 and the Ateneo Art Awards in 2006. He is a popular figure who has received much praise in the field of art. Cruz was awarded an ACC Fellowship in 2008, which allowed her to participate in residencies at the Headlands Art Center in California and in New York City. But it was 2011 after it staged an exhibit of Poleteismo when he received diverse threats to the public from devout Catholics. As one of our activities today in the matter of Ethics we were given the task of forming an opinion based on the given issue, which is an article from Mideo's Exhibit. As a Catholic, I considered Mideo's actions to be a religious desecration, but I believe he deserved all of the public criticism he received. One of the things that inspired Mideo to make this piece, according to one of his interviews, was the ones he grew up with. Hanging various objects or pictures as the symbolism of things is a common task for us Filipinos. "***In that sense, it's all about power and idolatry,***" he added. We have the freedom to express ourselves, particularly in the arts, where we can fully express our thoughts and emotions through implying symbols and colors as a form of imaginative integration practice. As Catholics, most of us believe that using religious symbols in nonsense is a sinful act. However, there is no law that allows us to say and judge someone we believe has done something wrong based on majority opinion. Ethics is concerned with commonly performed behavior that involves recommending right and wrong concepts. It is a universal concept based on the categorical imperative, and not just one sector's belief. On the one hand, what Mideo did was wrong from a Catholic standpoint, but that isn't enough to say that art is wrong, because art is one of the visual manifestations of our conceptual ideas. So, for me, this issue, which gained traction in 2011, is not a matter of ethics, although we all have different points of view, that is insufficient as a basis for judgment, as published laws are. My professor, on the other hand, argued that the laws, religion, and culture are the main sources of authority in terms of determining moral and ethical standards. "***What is legal does not always imply morality,***" as there are many differences between people when it comes to what constitutes right and wrong. For example, the law states that murder is illegal, but there is also a law that mandates the death penalty. As well as culture and religion, because if certain activities, such as eating pork, are acceptable to our Catholics, they are not acceptable to people of other faiths. The principles that exist, a philosophical morality human act, is one of the possible bases of right and wrong. However, the country is unaware that we have become toxic in our own established viewpoint, which makes it difficult for us to determine whether something is right or wrong. Subjectivism, psychological egoism, and ethical egoism are the three norms that nations must use to determine what is right and wrong in terms of ethics. The election of the president is one of the best examples of this, with most people relying on what the majority says, which is obviously subjectivism already. There are some things that are legally considered wrong but are not justifiable; just because something is in the law does not mean it is right. Each decision or act of justice must be carefully considered first. How about you what's your view in this matter? ***The main idea of the topic was cited in this attached link*** *https://timecapsule.culturalcenter.gov.ph/features/x2EP2MScWMYXq* ***You can check a few of my previous works here*** Love On Trend And Demand https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/love-on-trend-and-demand-1d6395d0 Banana Cake In Response To My Fathers Request https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/banana-cake-in-response-to-my-fathers-request-be2d7890 Im Thrilled for These Two https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/im-thrilled-for-these-two-9c519a1a Who They Depict In Real Life https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/who-they-depict-in-real-life-535efb1f The Changing Definition of Bayani and Bayanihan https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/the-changing-definition-of-bayani-and-bayanihan-333b6414 **Disclaimer:** I am neither a psychologist nor a financial advisor, and all of my pieces were done for entertainment purposes only. Love On Trend and Demand Why would people make this like it was a trend to be in a relationship? I do not understand why most of those in their teens are rushing to find a couple? I mean, what's wrong with being single? Being single, felt satisfying you know, since we were given a chance to get to know ourselves better, we learn to explore on our own, and we can enjoy our own company at ease. Isn't it? *But before anything else, I'd like to extend my gratitude to my sponsors for their support, and you can visit their accounts to read interesting piece.* I was at an age where my peace and life goals were the most important things to me. However, given today's generation, it appears that even children will be required to enter into a relationship. Funny, sad, and sometimes the fifth time into a relationship at the age of thirteen. Worse, they quickly learned to be aggressive and try things they shouldn't have learned at that age. The fights that erupt on social media between young people over men/women are also noteworthy. It's not that I haven't been in a relationship, but it's sad to think that even at the age of 13, children prefer to be in a relationship. We were still playing in the field of patent or hideout when we were that age. They can't even be considered in the age of adolescence or adolescence they know how to organize themselves, even though they know how to look for things that are supposed to be used by young adults at the age of ten. According to the mother, today's youth are in a hurry to grow old without realizing how difficult it is to hold responsibility in both hands. Young people should enjoy their childhood because they have no responsibilities other than studying and helping with household chores. If you choose to be single or single right away, you will regret it. It's also inevitable that they'll find themselves in a situation where they'll be tempted and make an irreversible mistake, one of which is becoming a young parent. As I mentioned in my previous article titled Teenage Pregnancy, not only new parents will suffer, but so will their own parents, who will assume responsibility as grandparents of their grandchildren, believing that young people are still incompetent when they are just learning. life. As much as I'd like to say more about this subject, I'm unable to do so because it's a case of me versus society. Anyway, it's your choice; we all have our own free will and perspectives in life; just be happy. ***You can check a few of my previous works here*** Banana Cake In Response To My Fathers Request https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/banana-cake-in-response-to-my-fathers-request-be2d7890 Im Thrilled for These Two https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/im-thrilled-for-these-two-9c519a1a Who They Depict In Real Life https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/who-they-depict-in-real-life-535efb1f The Changing Definition of Bayani and Bayanihan https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/the-changing-definition-of-bayani-and-bayanihan-333b6414 Twisted Flavors My Version of Chocolate Taho https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/twisted-flavors-my-version-of-chocolate-taho-fa4acc6d **Disclaimer:** I am neither a psychologist nor a financial advisor, and all of my pieces were done for entertainment purposes only. Banana Cake In Response to My Father’s Request One of the things I've always wanted to try is baking. Because we don't have an oven, I try to bake with a steamer whenever possible, but the results aren't always satisfactory. It's one of the primary reasons I've always wanted an oven. After a long wait, I was finally able to purchase one. I'd already tried it three times and was just getting used to baking different kinds of bread. I'm grateful because, despite making mistakes three times, I gained experience and was able to perfect the taste of some recipes as a result. With these newfound blessings, I was finally able to respond to some requests for baked goods recipes. *But before anything else, I'd like to extend my gratitude to my sponsors for their support, and you can visit their accounts to read interesting piece.* Our recipe today, banana cake, is one of the most popular and inexpensive breads. Another reason I did this was to fulfill my father's request, which I mentioned in my previous article "Dad Finally Noticed My Progress." This recipe is extremely important to me because it is just as difficult for me as it is for my father; he expects me to be able to make the banana cake he desires, and he knows I can. They didn't want me to come into the kitchen because what I cooked could be too salty or too sweet at times. Throughout the years, I've made significant progress. Fortunately, we have plenty of bananas at home; in fact, I have several banana dessert recipes, but I'll start with Banana Cake because I don't have any recent pictures of other recipes. I'll tell you about it as soon as I can. I won't keep you waiting any longer; put on your apron and let's get baking. ***The following are the required ingredients:*** *4 Ripped Banana (Overriped one was much better since it much sweeter I think)* *6 Egg* *1/2 c Oil* *1 1/4 c Sugar* *1 c Milk* *3 c All Purpose Flour* *2 1/2 tsp. Baking powder* *1/2 c Raisins/ Chocolate (optional)* *Pinch of salt* ***And heres how you prepare it:*** *To begin, mashed the banana in a seperate bowl until it gets the slimmy texture.* *The after separate the egg yolk from the egg white and set the egg white aside. With a whisk, beat the yolk until it is completely smooth, then add the 3/4 c. of sugar. If the sugar has already dessolve you can now and the mashed banana and make sure that its weell combined.* *Sift the remaining dry ingridients (except the sugar), we do this to avoid having lumps on our batter mixture. Then mix it with the yolk mixture thoroughly. Set it aside.* *You can use an electric hand mixer to beat the egg whites faster. Using the same method as for icing, gradually add the sugar and continue to beat until the egg white stiffens.* *Then, using the folding technique, slowly combine the two mixtures to avoid reducing the volume of the egg white mixture. Transfer it to the pan, then put it on the oven over 160 degrees for 35 minutes.* Feel free to play around with the measurements to suit your preference. In fact, I dig into the condition of the banana and add 8 bananas to my batter because I want my banana bread to have a pudding-like texture. Right after I cut the bread my companions here at home ate it immediately, they like what I made and said that it was tasty and said that I can already sell them online. I actually intend to set up a business similar to this by accepting online orders for baked goods to gain income and add it into my savings. But I still don't have enough recipes so I will continue to practice baking in the next few days. So, what are you waiting for? Go on and try our Banana Bread. ***You can check a few of my previous works here*** Im Thrilled for These Two https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/im-thrilled-for-these-two-9c519a1a Who They Depict In Real Life https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/who-they-depict-in-real-life-535efb1f The Changing Definition of Bayani and Bayanihan https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/the-changing-definition-of-bayani-and-bayanihan-333b6414 Twisted Flavors My Version of Chocolate Taho https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/twisted-flavors-my-version-of-chocolate-taho-fa4acc6d Have You Become A Research Leader https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/have-you-become-a-research-leader-54a64f0d **Disclaimer:** I am neither a psychologist nor a financial advisor, and all of my pieces were done for entertainment purposes only. Dad Finally Noticed My Progress Have I mentioned that one of my kitchen's greatest inspirations and idols is my father? Ever since I was a child, I have always looked forward to his cooking. The aroma of each dish he makes was just so irresistible that makes my mouth water just by scenting what he was cooking. For me, it's always magical to see him preparing the meal, how a simple ingredient turns out to taste great. I clearly remember how I chose to stay in the house every lunch rather than playing with my playmates just to watch my father cook, and now it's already become a hobby of mine to watch him as he cooks, it's just too entertaining for me to watch him do his magic. *But before anything else, I'd like to extend my gratitude to my sponsors for their support, and you can visit their accounts to read interesting piece.* Cooking was one of the genetic traits I received from him, and I've wanted to do it since I was a child. However, it's unlikely that I'll be able to apply to a school that offers a culinary course because it's too expensive and we can't afford it. As a result, I decided to pursue a career in hospitality management, and I am currently in my second year. I competed in a cooking competition when I was in elementary school until I was in High School, and cooking was one of my hobbies at home. During those times, all I heard from my parents was their criticism of every dish I cooked: "***too salty****," "****too sweet,****", "****is this edible****" "****it doesn't look appetizing****,*" and so on. However, hearing these things from their mouth became one of the reasons for me to be more persistent in learning the proper cooking process. "***Practice makes perfect****,*" as many people say, but one of the unique skills that my teacher instilled in me at the time was the phrase "***Practice makes permanent.***" Nothing is perfect, but there are some things that can be made permanent through practices, one of which I have been holding on to since I began learning the process. Later yesterday afternoon, since my father returned from his trip from a nearby town, he greeted me with a small piece of banana cake, which he presented to me after I finished my online class. "***Here taste this Banana bread I've bought there, and try to make a better version of this one***" hearing those is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for me. He didn't say anything specific, but I know he likes what I cook and sees my potential. He also allows me to cook at banquets some of the dishes that he is supposed to. It makes me feel proud as he now believes I can accomplish something on my own. That is why I have no other reason to lose interest in continuing to learn in my chosen field. Everything is changing and improving as a result of progress, so keep striving. ***You can check a few of my previous works here*** How Kindness Can Kill Us https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/how-kindness-can-kill-us-9e0af071 Im Thrilled For These Two https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/im-thrilled-for-these-two-9c519a1a Who They Depict In Real Life https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/who-they-depict-in-real-life-535efb1f The Changing Definition of Bayani and Bayanihan https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/the-changing-definition-of-bayani-and-bayanihan-333b6414 Twisted Flavors My Version of Chocolate Taho https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/twisted-flavors-my-version-of-chocolate-taho-fa4acc6d **Disclaimer:** I am neither a psychologist nor a financial advisor, and all of my pieces were done for entertainment purposes only. How Kindness Can Kill Us The amount of time I spent witnessing, seeing online, and reading articles about how they developed into becoming a provider for others, to the point that they were so selfless that despite their scarcity they would still choose to give more. There's nothing wrong with helping others in need, and it's especially not wrong to be kind to others because you just care about them. However, not all kindness is reasonable. *But before anything else, I'd like to extend my gratitude to my sponsors for their support, and you can visit their accounts to read interesting piece.* "***Too much love will kill you***," in Queens' song asserts, and it did, ***so does kindness.*** It may seem exaggerated but this is the truth, once we fell in love we are no longer aware of how deep the affection that we felt toward that someone, we become blind by love, and soon lead us to act improperly. We forget to love ourselves sometimes to the point that even if we lose ourselves in too much misery, we still chose to sacrifice it all just to make the person we love happy. Aside from that given realities, kindness is also a virtue, we have no ill intentions other than to aid people in need. Many of us want to help those who are in need and to reach out to those who are abandoned. On the other hand, despite our best intentions, it is inevitably for the people we help not to get tempted to abuse the kindness we give them. The only negative aspect of the society in which we live is that they seldom recognize you and the good deeds that you have done for them. They always openly talk about your mistakes, and while there are still some who appreciate it, there are also some who have bad intentions and thus will abuse you as long as you have something to give. In connection with this matter, one of the sayings that we had is "***the rich keep getting richer and the poor keep getting poorer,***" given that corruption has an impact on the country's poverty but we also had this in a saying ***"it is the poor's fault if they die being poor"*** which I completely agree with. If you're wondering why would I say these, here are my thoughts. To support my point of view, people who are remarkably kind, the sort of who lack financial resources but are willing to help those in need, are frequently found among the poor. They're too selfless, even though they know they won't be able to support themselves they would still willingly give others a hand. Wealthy people, on the other hand, continue to accumulate wealth not because they are cheap, but because they are aware of their limits when it comes to helping others. Aside from having goals, they also set limits for themselves on things they know are excessive, so they have something to save for. This topic may be disturbing in relation to the title, but the ***Maguad Sibling Murder Case*** is one of the proofs that all the excesses are being abused. Mr. Cruz and Mrs. Lovelle Maguad's generosity in assisting a young woman named Janice, whom they also moved into their own home. Even after providing the Maguad couple with a home, food on a daily basis, and the care of the Maguad couple's foster parents for the young Janice, the family was still shrouded in a cloud of a heinous crime. It was because of the siblings' brutal murders of Crizzle Gwynn and Crizzule Louis, which was motivated by jealousy. Being kind may be a virtue, but it does not imply that you will always be selfless and allow yourself to be abused by others. Love and kindness, in general, should not always be about socializing and sharing with others if these values are not balanced. First and foremost, we must apply these two principles to ourselves. Before you can love others, you must first love yourself, and you must be good to yourself before you can be good to others. You will learn to appreciate yourself and recognize the things that you should also experience from yourself in this manner. It is critical that we have self-love and self-respect because they will assist us in deciding when to let go when we recognize that we are being abused. I'm Thrilled For These Two I'm quite thrilled since this second semester I have been looking forward to two subjects, the Foreign language subject, and the Bar and Beverage Management subject. *But before anything else, I'd like to extend my gratitude to my sponsors for their support, and you can visit their accounts to read interesting piece.* You can get the whole idea of the studies just by looking at the subject title, Bar and Beverage. Obviously, this is the video meme that is circulating on social media platforms called "*online inuman*", but this is not what I'm after if not the whole idea of taking a step towards one of my dreams of becoming a bartender. It is not necessary for a bartender to have a high tolerance for alcohol; what matters is that you know how to mix. Of course, all mixed drinks must go through trial and error, which means getting intoxicated before learning. I want to learn as much flaring as possible because the case probably doesn't want me to flare. I bought my flaring bottle case before I started my first year, but I still don't know how to use it. That's why, with enough practice, I won't be rude all of the time, especially since we don't have enough space at home and need to be out in the field for safety. I also participated in a mocktail brewing competition during my first year (it's a mix of non-alcoholic drinks). The base we used back then was ginger, and because I was a beginner, I'm not sure what I mixed haha, but it's okay because there was a consolation prize, so I received 100 pesos (2 dollars) for my participation. These are my personal experiences with mixing and other aspects of bar and beverage management, which is why I'm interested in this topic. Another topic is a foreign language; I've always been good at Japanese and Italian, and the unique way they speak to me makes it enjoyable to listen to them even if I don't understand what they're saying. Having fun with mobile applications that teach the basic languages of Japanese and Italian was one of my hobbies during the pandemic's peak. I only know a few words and phrases and can't fully comprehend a conversation, but I believe that with proper tutoring and practice, I will be able to do so. Because our subject is about the basic language of Spain, we will not study either of the two languages I hope to study in our Foreign Language class this semester. Because some of the day-to-day words we Filipinos use originated in Spain, I can say that I can handle it. Like the word "*lamesa*" (table), what we call a table is also what they call it. However, it is still too early to say that it is simply because, as the Filipino language, there are many words that need to be focused on because some are only used in formal conversation or are deep words that are not applicable to everyday conversation. As of now, I was able to discover the history of alcohol, where drinking alcoholic beverages have said to be used for medical purposes back then, as well as used these practices in relation to religious matters believing that it would please gods and goddesses by offering some alcohol. However, drinking in accordance with the consecration of important celebrations in our lives, which becomes the key to strengthening our communication with one another, is a significant contribution that practice has made up until now. Added to that was I was finally able to memorize ***Letras Del Abecedario,*** the Spanish alphabet. I'm kinda proud of it and I'm eager to learn further about their language. It's a shame that we'll be doing these subjects online for everyone's safety, but when you consider all of the activities we'll be doing in these subjects, it'll be more enjoyable to study physically and socially with our classmates and mentors. ***You can check a few of my previous works here*** Who They Depict In Real Life https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/who-they-depict-in-real-life-535efb1f The Changing Definition of Bayani and Bayanihan https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/the-changing-definition-of-bayani-and-bayanihan-333b6414 Twisted Flavors My Version of Chocolate Taho https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/twisted-flavors-my-version-of-chocolate-taho-fa4acc6d Have You Become A Research Leader https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/have-you-become-a-research-leader-54a64f0d GMA Short Film Bayan Ko A Critic Review https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/gma-short-film-bayan-ko-a-critic-review-0ba8da3c A Blast At Their Golden 60 https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/a-blast-at-their-golden-60-49a098ca **Disclaimer:** I am neither a psychologist nor a financial advisor, and all of my pieces were done for entertainment purposes only. Who They Depict In Real Life It's impossible not to use our imagination and compare situations as well as characters to real life when we watch or read a story. *But before anything else, I'd like to extend my gratitude to my sponsors for their support, and you can visit their accounts to read interesting piece.* Jose Protacio Realonda Y Rizal, known two be a man to uncover all indications of a Filipino civilization before the arrival of the Spaniards through the help of Successors de Las Islas Filipinas of Antonio de Morga. For those who haven't know what is this book written by Morga, it is the very first book in history to be published which is fully about our country, the Philippines which is obviously written by a foreign, a former lieutenant governor of Spain during the colonial period. Antonio de Morga's primary goal was to document events during the colonial period as observed by the author itself he never knew that throughout the year his book would become a huge contribution to our country's history. Talkin back, Rizal desires to establish the Tagalog culture. This is derived from a sense of patriotism and nationalism and on the other hand, he came across this "*Successors de Las Islas Filipinas"* book which contains a historical statement about the Philippines society and culture before even this painful colonization. Ferdinand Blumentritt an acquaintance of Rizal gave him the advice to write and publish a book about Philippine history as he also wanted to show that the Philippines had a civilization before the colonization. Use these historical books to annotate and include erasing consciousness about the history of the Filipino as for he believed that we Filipino need a certain identity to differ from other country and not just known to become a country being colonized by its neighboring country. This movement that Rizal has been made created a huge factor in the Spanish government and considered him as a threat to their power which lead to confiscating his piece. And from this point forward, Rizal chooses to continue writing his thoughts. He started to fight the Spaniards along with his pen and paper and here where he published multiple books regarding his experience and those of his fellow Filipinos went through at the hands of their conqueror's corrupted government system. In one of these historical works did he mean what the *Noli Me Tangere* and *El Filibusterismo*. These two cater a story that is about how we become drowned in abuse of those who have power. Added to this, in those two legendary books that we have we force in the fictional character that captive not just our attention but as well as our minds. It's unavoidable death we won't compare that fictional character to a real person. As for me, this fictional character that I am going to list below is comparable to well-known personalities in our country. ***Crisostomo Ibarra*** is a Filipino Spanish and the only descendant of Don Rafael Ibarra, a wealthy Spaniard. he attempted to form a school in downtown San Diego and he is known to be a polite, family oriented person, clever, and obviously has a good heart and intention toward his country and countrymen. These traits that this fictional character has for me can compare to mayor ***Francisco Moreno Domagoso***. He gave manila redemption and restoration of its natural beauty. She also has this character of being brave enough to speak for his opinion and face various controversies despite his previous case and verbally announced his disappointment for those formerly city mayor of manila. ***Maria Clara Delos Santos*** *is* commonly regarded as the embodiment of the ideal Filipino woman. She persuaded Padre Damaso to let her and doors in a nunnery and revealed to have been the illegitimate daughter of Padre Damaso, a Spanish friar who coerced Donya Pia into illicit sexual relations. Maria Clara is also known to have traits such as being modest, conservative, capable of withstanding any harm that may befall her, and she has pure salt in today's reality we can first see these characters and to ***Angel Locsin***. A woman of action in addition to being outspoken and then afraid to express her opinion. She was the driving force behind a number of relay operations, fundraising campaigns,s and advocacy efforts. ***Sisa*** a mother who has arrested lookup in jail and one day later she was pardoned grace period after discovering that his children were not at home he went insane in her search. She is also known to have a heart that always prevails over her mind and is surely a good and loving mother to his family. ***Nora Aunor***, as an actress faces a lot of ups and downs intrigues, and controversies. Apart from this is not just a great actress but she was indeed a great mother to her son. ***Elias*** is the farmer who showed Ibarra the reality of their town's situation and he put his life online just to save Ibarra. ***Raffy Tulfo*** a Filipino broadcast journalist whose works focus on government and private sector issues can compare to this fictional character. He help to resolve concerns and take quick actions regarding social injustice committed by people in power against ordinary citizens and because of this he gained the title of "***Hari ng public service***". ***Don Anastaci***o also known as *Pilosopong Tasyo*, 's ideas were accurate with the minds of the townspeople. He is no one for being wise, excellent at expressing his opinion, and a figurative talker which brings me to see him in ***Miriam Defensor Santiago*** in real life. She is a politician, a critique and an anti-corruption activist. Filipino considered her as the most powerful woman in the most outstanding senator. He rose to become one of the most powerful judges in the country with the most cases filed in his friends especially during the period of martial law even though life and her career were on the line no other judge was there to overturn Marco's martial law instead of enforcing the constitution. ***Donya Victorina De los Reyes*** filipino women who pretended to be a mestiza . She is Llinarez who is only concerned with maintaining her elitist image. Everyone in town. Because of her strange appearance be in a ruthless and fierce rivalry with Donya Consolacion. A short she was known for being pretentious, social climber, and disdainful. I see her in ***Janet Lim Napoles***, a Filipina businesses woman who is believed to have masterminded the Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) Scam. She was found guilty of plunder for her role in the PDAF scam, and she is now facing charger charges for allegedly miss using the Malampaya fund for disaster relief. These given names above were just solely based on my judgment. I just enjoyed imagining fictional characters into real personalities although they still have differences there are similarities to be found. We all have different perspectives but these things that I have been tackled just measure and prove how I comprehend the stories and their character. ***You can check a few of my previous works here*** The Changing Definition of Bayani and Bayanihan https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/the-changing-definition-of-bayani-and-bayanihan-333b6414 Twisted Flavors My Version of Chocolate Taho https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/twisted-flavors-my-version-of-chocolate-taho-fa4acc6d Have You Become A Research Leader https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/have-you-become-a-research-leader-54a64f0d GMA Short Film Bayan Ko A Critic Review https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/gma-short-film-bayan-ko-a-critic-review-0ba8da3c A Blast At Their Golden 60 https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/a-blast-at-their-golden-60-49a098ca **Disclaimer:** I am neither a psychologist nor a financial advisor, and all of my pieces were done for entertainment purposes only. The Changing Definition of Bayani and Bayanihan According to dr Zeus Salazar, the local concept of "***bayani***" has a different value and has a richer concept than its supposed western counterpart. In line with this "***bayanihan***" can be considered as a form of active heroism of an individual or group of people by helping others without expecting anything in return. The achievement of one is also an achievement of the many and vice versa, says Salazar. The story is about the community helping each other out and times of need both physically and financially. *But before anything else, I'd like to extend my gratitude to my sponsors for their support, and you can visit their accounts to read interesting piece* One of our society's interpretations of the word hero is that means to "*save a life or to sacrifice one's life for the sake of one's homeland*" as for what Rizal put into standards of these. This word, however, had a deeper meaning implying that only those who are willing to suffer and sacrifice themselves for the good of the country are worthy of the title, hero. Being referred to as a hero necessitates a greater display of bravery. The term *bayanihan* literally means "*to be in a bayan*" and it refers to a spirit of communal unity, cooperation, and work toward a common goal. The *bayanihan* is a Filipino tradition derived from the word which means in ocean town in Filipino. Weather considered heroes wear like those who gave their lives in a bottle or those who use their intellectual intelligence to create a novel in combat, the situation was very different but then that it is now since there were present adversaries. Well-known personalities were forced to occupy the Philippines. As a result, today's battle with reality is vastly different from that of the past, which is why Salazar was right in his assessment of bestowing the title hero and heroism on people who don't have to take their own life. Putting this subject into a perfect epitome of a hero, On my perception, apart from well-known figures such as Jose Rizal, our compatriots serving abroad are the overseas Filipino workers who are now considered modern heroes. My older brother, Dominick, a typical worker is one of our country's modern heroes. Since, despite the pandemic, he chose to renew his contract and sacrifice his sweat and blood in a distant country far from his own family. Apart from having the inborn Filipino traits of being hardworking and respectful, he is also reputable for being an honest servant. This struggle, in contrast to many of the country's well-known heroes, who use violence and ingenuity in writing, Dominick uses his own capabilities, diligence, and dedication to continue to strive for his goal. Applying this situation was solely stated that it proves Salazar's point of not all heroes need to shed blood to call one. After a person's death, it's already hard to see the presence of the characteristics that they have to qualify them as heroes. It is enough to make such a significant contribution to the country that many people regard them as a hero. The small act of kindness that an individual performed for his fellow men or any selfless act performed with virtue can already be considered heroic. Giving a person the title of hero is not always about using violence or knowledge against the war or even taking one's life for their country since many virtues are considered poor should people who became the patient's simply by providing support, health, and action to those who are in need. ***You can check a few of my previous works here*** Twisted Flavors My Version of Chocolate Taho https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/twisted-flavors-my-version-of-chocolate-taho-fa4acc6d Have You Become A Research Leader https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/have-you-become-a-research-leader-54a64f0d GMA Short Film Bayan Ko A Critic Review https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/gma-short-film-bayan-ko-a-critic-review-0ba8da3c A Blast At Their Golden 60 https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/a-blast-at-their-golden-60-49a098ca Our Valentines Special https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/our-valentines-special-d36447d0 **Disclaimer:** I am neither a psychologist nor a financial advisor, and all of my pieces were done for entertainment purposes only. Twisted Flavors: My Version of Chocolate Taho As you get to know me better, you'll notice that cooking is one of my passions and one of my hobbies. In addition to mixing beverages and preparing dishes, I grew up with the habit of cooking desserts for our snacks. As we Filipinos eat more than three times per day, I use my free time to prepare snacks for my family. *But before anything else, I'd like to extend my gratitude to my sponsors for their support, and you can visit their accounts to read interesting piece* I'm not here to tell you about my cravings since there are too many on my list, today I'm going to tell you about a recipe that I dedicated to my nephew, who loves chocolate. This easy-to-make recipe is also dedicated to @fiolyn_rea who supported me with some of my food-related content. I'm not certain about the origin ogin of our main menu today which is our all-time childhood favorite the "taho", but it was based on my research that taho is almost the same as tofu, which we used to prepare a wide range of dishes. The only thing that sets it apart is the texture of the tofu, which is much firmer and chewier than taho, which is more refined and jelly-like which is served with brown sugar syrup and tapioca pearls and usually served warm. While it is considered to be a local delicacy in our country, the Philippines, it is thought to have originated in China during the Han dynasty prior to the Spanish colonization of the Philippines. According to Pepper, a food-focused website, in a certain leged it was believed that once there's a Chinese cook was preparing soy milk when he accidentally mixed "impure" sea salt into boiled and ground soybeans. It produced a "gel-like tofu form," which was later combined with syrup and pearls. The mixture became so popular that Chinese traders decided to share it with their Malay clients. " I just happened to come across a video of how it's made on Facebook, and since I haven't had taho in a long time, I decided to make a twist on it. And here are the ingredients that you'll be needing For the "***arnival"*** *(it a term that means caramelized sugar syrup but I decided to improve it by making it chocolate syrup)* *3 c. Sugar* *2 c. Water* *50 grams Cocoa powder* *1/2 tbsp. Cornstarch (optional)* For the taho base *1 pack White gelatin powder* *2 c water* *1 liter of Soy drink* *200 grams uncooked Tapioca pearl* and another liter of water for cooking tapioca **Procedure** The first is to bring the tapioca pearl to boil then set it aside it will do its own trick just don't open the lid of the casserole that you used. To make the chocolate syrup, simply melt the sugar in water and wait for it to boil before adding the cocoa powder; once it has boiled, simply melt it and wait for it to boil again; it should be fine. You can use a thickening powder like cornstarch to thicken the mixture; simply dissolve it in 1/3 cup of water and add it to the mixture, adjust the thickness of the syrup as desired. For the taho base, I simply used ready-to-drink soy milk, added 2 cups of water to make the gelatin softer, and then melted and stirred the powdered gelatin in it over medium heat. Stir it constantly to avoid lumps, then transfer it to a clean container once it has boiled. And here comes my favorite part, layering our dessert. Silken tofu, chocolate syrup, and tapioca pearls are usually layered for that order. Of course, the amount of syrup you use in our dessert is entirely up to you, it all depends on the level of sweetness you prefer. And, since I made too much chocolate syrup, I stored it in a clean bottle container and served it alongside the taho, because my younger sister, like my nephew, enjoys chocolate. It can last for 2-3 days just to make sure to put the remaining syrup in the fridge. I usually make syrups and sauces such as chocolate, caramel, cheese sauce, salted egg sauce, etc. just so we have a spread for slices of bread. I'm thrilled to write an article about those recipes as they're all incredibly tasty and easy to prepare. So what are you waiting for? Try making this simple taho for your loved ones, they will surely enjoy it, especially if they like chocolate. ***You can check a few of my previous works here*** Have You Become A Research Leader https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/have-you-become-a-research-leader-54a64f0d GMA Short Film Bayan Ko A Critic Review https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/gma-short-film-bayan-ko-a-critic-review-0ba8da3c A Blast At Their Golden 60 https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/a-blast-at-their-golden-60-49a098ca Our Valentines Special https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/our-valentines-special-d36447d0 Meeting An Old Pal https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/meeting-an-old-pal-a2ba0f2a **Disclaimer:** I am neither a psychologist nor a financial advisor, and all of my pieces were done for entertainment purposes only. Have You Become A Research Leader? As I was looking through my files on my laptop earlier, I came across this one folder which contained all of the photos and videos from my senior year. Looking at the videos again is pretty nostalgic, it was indeed that the most memorable part of being a student was during high school, and there is no doubt in that, our smiles in each photo we appear to be genuinely happy. *But before anything else, I'd like to extend my gratitude to my sponsors for their support, and you can visit their accounts to read interesting piece* In the education system, research papers were one of the requirements for graduation, and we were assigned to do a research paper as a group. During my grade 10 and 11 years, I learned that having friends in a research paper group is not a good idea. But I was tested again in my last year as a Senior High School student when each of us was assigned to form a research group for the entire school year in grade 12. When my friends handed me the paper stating that we were in one group and that I was the one they assigned to be their leader, I couldn't complain as they already passed the paper to our research adviser. Since we all have laptops, access to the internet and one of our groups has a printing machine, I tried to be an optimistic person at first. There has also been no cost issue as we began depositing money every day (my groupmate was assigned to collect 5 pesos per day) for the fund set aside to be used for prints and snacks from the beginning. As time goes by, of course, I couldn't handle my own frustration from my group mates to the point where, as a leader, I took all of my group members to the faculty office to inform our research adviser that we were having problems in terms of cooperations, even though they are my friends I couldn't let them be as carefree as they wanted for the entire school year. Some of my groupmates received a note of warning from our research adviser, it's a relief that our mentor listen to the problem I approached him for. https://youtu.be/nlGxyIRXOhI We're doing fine until the day of our written paper's finalization, there's a lot of revision to be done, and I couldn't handle figuring out each part that needed to be fixed. There were six of us in the group, but only two of us were occupied with revisions. The rest of them can be called ***"dumbell",*** one of the trending terminologies back then thanks to a short film released by KPL on social media. It is the type of groupmates that is solely reliant on the leader and the hard-working members. It's likely that it's unavoidable in the group, but it's frustrating. It's gotten to the point where I haven't slept in three days for revision while some of my groupmate is having overnight swimming. Such great rants they got from me the day we meet as they couldn't do some of the things I asked of them to do, they were already taught how to do some of the parts given to them, but they chose not to help. I was frustrated for their own good, it's not just me who's having problems but soon they soon too when they don't learn how these academic papers needed to be done. It's a good thing that the leader has the upper hand when it comes to allocating a grade to the group, and it's somehow helped me feel satisfied from all the hardship that I made. Apart from the things that made me furious with my research groupmates, I had a great school year, however, I'm not sure I'm capable of handling groups and remaining calm in all situations. And after the defense, we just talk it out because it's already all in the past, and the important thing for us is that we defended our thesis before graduation, so it's still a success for my leadership sacrifices. It's also their loss as they refused to help all along, in the end, they are the ones who have no experience conducting background research and I hope they will learn what every leader went through now that we are all in college. So, now that I'm in college,  I'm also hoping to have a reliable partner in doing a research paper even though it's impossible but I'm still hoping. I've also realized over the years that I'm not good at handling my patience, that I'm short-tempered, besides I'm not comfortable working with others. In short, I prefer to do things individually in my own space it was indeed my flaws but still, I needed to hone my skills in cooperation and social communication for future purposes. ***You can check a few of my previous works here*** GMA Short Film Bayan Ko A Critic Review https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/gma-short-film-bayan-ko-a-critic-review-0ba8da3c A Blast At Their Golden 60 https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/a-blast-at-their-golden-60-49a098ca Our Valentines Special https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/our-valentines-special-d36447d0 Meeting An Old Pal https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/meeting-an-old-pal-a2ba0f2a A Dreamers Responsibility https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/a-dreamers-responsibility-7638ce80 **Disclaimer:** I am neither a psychologist nor a financial advisor, and all of my pieces were done for entertainment purposes only. GMA Short Film Bayan Ko: A Critic Review Our second semester begins this week, and due to my busy schedule over the last few days, I haven't been able to complete some of my work on time. I was absent from some of my online orientations yesterday since I needed to file some papers that were a requirement for me to apply for a scholarship, so I had to go to school to take care of some requirements. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to complete everything I need need to finalize because my first semester grades haven't been released yet, and I'm still waiting for confirmation when could I get it and when will I need to go back to our city municipality again to pass all the other requirements. *But before anything else, I'd like to extend my gratitude to my sponsors for their support, and you can visit their accounts to read interesting pieces.* While I waiting patiently on our department chairperson's announcement, I completed some of the tasks that had been assigned to us. There really is no trouble since they are simple to make it it just some personal information or a self-introduction paper or some simple analysis that we needed to check, and one of the things I am currently working on is a critical paper for my ethics subject it is about the GMA's "Bayan Ko" film series. Well, it is not actually a critical paper since we just needed to point out which part of the plot of the film is obviously the wrongdoing of a public servant. Anyway here are some things that I observe on the first episode of the film series: **Many employees live in the Municipal hall** Aside from using the Municipal Hall as a temporary residence, employees also do what they want, they tend to close offices early, slack off, or use their time to do what they want. Furthermore, some employees demand additional payment from each client, which is not clarified in the legislation on the issuance of papers. Then, of course, it is inaccurate that someone who should serve as the city's public servants will be a negative influence on their fellow citizens, it is an insult to make the municipal hall their boarding house. As a form of professionalism, it is the employees' responsibility to be punctual and self-disciplined in separating work at home and work. **Political Dynasty** In this short film, it is completely obvious that there is an ongoing political dynasty in the Rubio family in this area. The unchanging nature of the area was noticeable during the Rubio family's three years in charge of their province they built a road project, but it was still not yet finished. It is the responsibility of those in charge to ensure that the funds collected from its people should be put on projects that would be beneficial for each citizen. **Usage of Municipal vehicles without the authorization of City Mayor** As written in administrative order no. 239, p. 2008, all government agencies and offices are prohibited from using government vehicles for purposes other than official business, and all government agencies and offices shall limit the use of government vehicles to essential activities and shall review their travel program and schedules to minimize unnecessary trips. It's worth noting that when Mayor Santiago required an ambulance to respond to a resident in need, the vehicle was unavailable. The ambulance, which is supposed to be available at all times, is still missing in the area, and the authorized person (Mayor) has even no idea where it is while he should only be one of those who must know where to use them because he is the one who will grant permission to use the vehicle for service work. **Insufficient funds for the infrastructure programs of the government** It's worth mentioning that the Rubio family leadership is indeed prone to corruption, one of the obvious results of which has been the unfinished projects promised to the locals such as roads in some barangays. That administration surely has gained funds from the locals that should be allocated to these projects, but why has there been no change in the area and the progress of the project that they have been proposed. **Bias and stereotyping in publishing news regarding particular leadership** The publicizing of false accusations against their fellow leaders who rule as Mayor of the City of Lagros is one of the victims of such a rotten system brought about by the influential family that rules the area. It is unavoidable that the current Mayor would be subjected to or receive slander from public officials who are hostile to the former mayor. It is some of the points that I have noticed from episode one, and only this episode was assigned to us for the activity, but I don't think that will be the end of my viewing since the theme of this film series is interesting and it's great to watch especially now that we're on the election season yet again. Here is the link to the first episode of the film if you are interested in watching it you can also check their GMA Public affairs YT account for full series https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W8SpNLg9FbU ***You can check a few of my previous works here*** A Blast At Their Golden 60 https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/a-blast-at-their-golden-60-49a098ca Our Valentines Special https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/our-valentines-special-d36447d0 Meeting An Old Pal https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/meeting-an-old-pal-a2ba0f2a A Dreamers Responsibility https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/a-dreamers-responsibility-7638ce80 Is That It Semestral Break https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/is-that-it-semestral-break-04752c3b **Disclaimer:** I am neither a psychologist nor a financial advisor, and all of my pieces were done for entertainment purposes only. A Blast At Their Golden 60 Turning sixty years old doesn't mean that they're old, but rather as a result of the memories and experiences they've gained over the last few years. *But before anything else, I'd like to extend my gratitude to my sponsors for their support, and you can visit their accounts to read interesting pieces.* Destiny sure works in a mysterious way, as I mentioned in my short blog yesterday. My mother's birthday coincides with Valentine's Day, and three days afterward, is my father's birthday. Isn't it adorable? assuming that they share a birthday with few days apart and that it matches up with the love month. ***Same personalities, same goals, same horoscope signs, and same Chinese zodiac signs.*** Don't get me wrong, they aren't the perfect married couple that many people expect. Yes, of course, they had their disagreements, but it's just as absolutely adorable to think about how they were meant to be together. Cupid sure made his move pretty good pairing up those two, as well as my brother who found her very caring wife. These two gentlemen (*my father and my eldest brother*) with whom I grew up imparted with me so many admirable traits in men that they have become my standards for men. I mean, Who doesn't? To be with the people they see in their parents' conduct is a genuine urge for any person. *Anyway, enough with the love-related talk, I'm here to tell you about a very special day we've planned for our dear parents on their birthday, and here it goes* Since our parents' birthdays are only three days apart we decided to celebrate them on the same day as one. From yesterday we've been working hard to clean up the area where the simple celebration will take place. We've also begun to purchase food ingredients and other disposable utensils as well as some more decorated items. Soon after, I began to prepare the shanghai mixture, of course, we can't miss having the most popular of all time, shanghai. I also make Maja Blanca, baked Chiffon cakes, and Leche Flan, I'm more into desserts and delicacies while my father is the one preparing for the entree and main dish. As much as we wanted to be hands-on, the all dishes we were going to serve couldn't be done in time since my dad and I were the only two preparing them. Usually, there were three of us, with my older brother, but he wasn't around at the time as he was working abroad. Earlier today, we've finalized decorating the place and made some brownies and another dedication cake for the occasion. It's been a while since I've created a dedication cake, and it's been a little challenging, especially since I'll be serving it to the guests, but whatever the results become, no regrets of making it, practice makes it permanent and at the very least I have the courage to try. This week is the start of the second semester, and today is supposed to be our second day of class, but I haven't heard anything about my class since I was too excited to celebrate my parents' birthday. We, my siblings, and my sister-in-law had been planning these parties for our parents for a long time, and we hope they were delighted with the simple party we put together. I was supposed to post this yesterday but I was so busy and tired from the day I had just spent that I fell asleep as soon as I walked into my room. But, in the end, we were able to enjoy the celebration and satisfy not only myself, but also our guests, particularly my parents. Our Valentines Special Valentine's day is a celebration held in commemorating the death of a Catholic priest during the 3rd Century. *But before anything else, I'd like to extend my gratitude to my sponsors for their support, and you can visit their accounts to read interesting pieces.* Saint Valentine insisted on choosing and consecrating the secret marriage of lovers despite Emperor Claudius II's decree. When the emperor Claudius learned of this, he sentenced the priest to death, and two priests with the same name, Valentine, were executed by the emperor on the same day, February 14, in different years. After such a tragedy the Christians had a heroic recognition of the two martyred priests who were then propelled to continue the importance of the matrimonial marriage. There was a Christian Feast day that later became the Feast of Saint Valentine established by Pope Gelasius I in AD 496 to be celebrated on February 14 in honor of Saint Valentine of Rome. The majority of people have made this festival a custom over the years, recognizing the importance of romance and love as a way that binds us together. Although it is not only for lovers rather an opportunity to let the people whom we love that we greatly appreciate them as being part of our life. Those who are in a relationship, this day puts a lot of pressure on them throughout the year, as every online trend involves spending money on things, and some people tend to materialize things to show their love for their partner. But I'm not here to go into detail about this topic that has been trending on the internet. There is one more thing that should be valued today for me, my mother's birthday, in addition to everything else I've mentioned above. What matters more than Valentine's Day is another year of blessings to live for our mother who brought us into this world. And three days from now is the birthday of the head of our family, my dearest father. The fact that we are planning to celebrate their birthday tomorrow means that we are very busy right now and I have to multitask to prepare my parents for their special birthday on the first day of my class in the second semester. And since my older brother is not with us at the moment, I'm the one who is in leading in charge of cleaning, doing grocery, cooking, and organizing things to do on the day of the celebration. Of course, I couldn't do this on my own, so I managed to get hold of my youngest sister, who will assist me in all the work. A wonderful Valentine's Day everyone, I hope you're all doing well with your loved ones. ***You can check a few of my previous works here*** Meeting An Old Pal https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/meeting-an-old-pal-a2ba0f2a A Dreamers Responsibility https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/a-dreamers-responsibility-7638ce80 Is That It Semestral Break https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/is-that-it-semestral-break-04752c3b Slack Off Night Before Re-Entering Second Semester https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/slack-off-night-before-re-entering-second-semester-dda82cda Find Me In This Virtual World https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/find-me-in-this-virtual-world-adb235af ***Disclaimer:*** *I am neither a psychologist nor a financial advisor, and all of my pieces were done for entertainment purposes only. Meeting An Old Pal Friend a shared bond between the two people, some of the people who know them better than you, and those who always have your back, even when you aren't together. *But before anything else, I'd like to extend my gratitude to my sponsors for their support, and you can visit their accounts to read interesting pieces.* Let me introduce you to one of my childhood friends, her name is Kaila and I think this was the last photo that has been taken before we couldn't meet again because of our different schools and schedules. The truth is that we are not really close during elementary days because she doesn't like me, she usually pushes me away because she prefers to go with her friends.   As we sometimes got into fighting it's no longer surprising. Perhaps she doesn't want me since we got into a lot of arguments and I've also noticed this ever since I was a child that she doesn't want me to participate in games, school program auditions, or sports-related activities she really does make efforts not to let me know the audition day or where I needed to submit my form, but I guess this such situation is normal for a child. But, even though she doesn't like me, I'm adamantly stubborn HAHAHA, so even though she's a year ahead of me in elementary, I keep on insisting on tagging along with her even if she always pushes me away. It's enjoyable to reminisce about our elementary days at school, it was a lot of fun to reminisce about the times when we were always fighting over the small stuff. We began to become close when were both in junior high school, Since she's one year ahead of me, she's more of a person I can rely on when it comes to my school problems, and she frequently gives me advice then pushes me on doing something claiming that I always can. During our free time, she often visits me in my classroom just to catch up and chitchat for a bit, we usually eat outside just the two of us. It's like a best friend date. She's so talkative, no offense Kaila, I'm also talkative, but when she starts telling a story I tell you it's endless. We haven't seen each other since I moved schools because we have different schedules and schools. It was especially difficult for us to meet before I stepped foot on the college last year until the lockdown began. She's currently staying with her aunt in Manila, which is a long way from where we live. We couldn't talk like we used to because she was so busy assisting her aunt's business. She returned home for a short vacation last week, and she often goes out with her friends, but she recently messaged me. She has a circle of friends with whom she hangs out and I'm glad she remembers me as she said she'd be back soon and that I wouldn't be able to spend time with her and talk to her again for a while, so we planned to meet earlier yesterday. We like to eat out, try new places or food stalls on a typical basis for us to bond, it's great that we live near a small restaurant, so we don't have to travel far. We decided to try out the place's new dish "*Chicken Inasal*" and, of course, the *unlimited-rice* that they were offering right now. She invites her younger sister to join us just, well the merrier the better. We just keep talking while eating, just catching up on each other's lives. Of course, we didn't want the sister to feel uncomfortable with our topic, so we usually ask her about her plans on what course she'll be choosing for college and we also ask about her studies, she doesn't have much to say, but what she said about how difficult it is to take an online class is very relatable. We were in the resto-bar at seven o'clock, but we ended up eating at least nine more meals, which was one of the reasons we were not surprised to eat more. I didn't think it was worth the delicious food since Kaila only had four *unli-rice* while her brother and I had three. When you eat in a comfortable ambiance you wouldn't notice the amount of food that you have been eating too much than your regular portions. It will be a long time before Kaila returns home, but it's a good thing that she never forgets her friend, and I'm glad I was able to meet her before she leaves. That friendship means a lot to me. A Dreamer's Responsibility Learning often isn't easy, but it is a part of our lives that we must discover on our own in order to gain knowledge. *But before anything else, I'd like to extend my gratitude to my sponsors for their support, and you can visit their accounts to read interesting pieces.* As a child, I recall writing an essay about what might happen in 20 years. I always imagined that when I'm in my 30s, I'll already have my own lot, and on top of that, my dream house for my parents. A car and a steady job that I can showcase my passion, but now that I'm in my twenties, I don't think I can, I'm starting to realize how adulting works and how terrifying it can be. After graduating from college, we will be faced with much greater responsibilities. Every time I imagined what my life would be like after I graduated, I couldn't help but feel anxious. This society seems to have a tendency to put pressure on an individual's future, as well as the expectations of those around you that you will have a job right away as you finish college with a degree. For students, college is a final milestone, although for me, as a college student, it was just the beginning of major obstacles in the real world. It felt pretty good to finish college seeing as we didn't have to read, compute, write a research paper, or write an essay anymore. Admit it, you also have wished to speed things up since childhood in order to become adults and escape the world of education, because I did, I always include it in my prayer ever since I was eight. In my point of view back then, adults have quite a lot of freedom as they can purchase whatever they want and do whatever they desire unlike being a child having a lot of activity that needs to be completed at school. It's funny how I say I liked going to school when I was in primary level, but I often complain in the back of my mind about how we are confined to the educational system. *Why would I need to learn algebra or how to calculate the speed of light for a specific problem if I can't even use them at work?* *what's the point?* one of a few of my complaints to my friends each school year. I always dreamed of becoming a chef, so all I thought back then was that I should just learn things related to cooking. I always phrase my reason that the school should teach and provide a more practical subject that encourages children to enhance their skills in certain fields that they want to take. Seventeen years are misspent just to obtain a degree in the field of their choice, and it is such a waste that not all of the lessons they take can be applied to their profession. Whereas it also appears that I have proved wrong my own claims. I'm taking Hospitality Management, and mathematics is heavily used in this field. Even science is used in some areas of operations as we need to perform experimental research in order to come up with new concepts. Physical education is also used and makes a significant contribution in this field, with lessons that emphasize the importance of maintaining one's health in order to perform assistance with our future clients. There are plenty of things I still have to learn, our learning does not end even before we obtain our diplomas. Every time I was doing a demonstration video, I gradually realize this. I can't complain like I used to, I was eager to learn *how to do this and that* at first, but after putting it into practice, I'm starting to feel like I can't afford to do it in the real world, at work. The strain, my inability to speak English fluently, my poor postures, my crooked teeth, my clumsiness, and my inability to make myself look fresh and visually appealing at all times. As I see and hear myself in every video I make, I couldn't help but feel all of these flaws at the very same time. I'm aware that I'm quite harsh in my criticism of myself and my own work, but those feelings motivate me to learn new things gradually in order to improve myself. I prefer to see things get out of control, not to brag, but one of my friends claims that when I make a mistake, I become more willing to solve the problem. I guess I was, As I still have little hope after feeling so down, I see this opportunity as a way to push myself to surpass my limit at that moment. I still have a lot to go through and a lot of disappointments that I might feel, all of which will be passed on to God, that way he can provide me with guidance and hope to continue on in life. Learning never ends in school, we live to be known for our own deeds that are not all about achieving success, it's about leaving a legacy of each memory that will be passed down to future generations. ***You can check a few of my previous works here*** Is That It Semestral Break https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/is-that-it-semestral-break-04752c3b Find Me In This Virtual World https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/find-me-in-this-virtual-world-adb235af Gifts Gift https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/gifts-gift-efcf2216 Desire Over Misery https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/desire-over-misery-ea26c81e Eating and Its Twin Disorders https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/eating-and-its-twin-disorders-ebc8d748 ***Disclaimer:*** *I am neither a psychologist nor a financial advisor, and all of my pieces were done for entertainment purposes only. @GelayyLumiere

Is That It Semestral Break? We were given a three-week short vacation for semestral and mental health break of both students and teachers after the hardships we went through last semester, so we could focus on our personal interests. The three weeks began on January 24, the first week after the first semester's final exam, it was just in our, but our professors are still busy that week since they have checked the activities of each class they are in handled. A pretty tough profession isn't it? *But before anything else, I'd like to extend my gratitude to my sponsors for their support, and you can visit their accounts to read interesting pieces.* We've been free from academic work for three weeks now, and we only have a few days left to enjoy ourselves. Next Monday would be the beginning of the new semester, a new set of lessons, and a source of stress. I'm just being dramatic as I'm not yet ready to enter the class again, so don't mind how I explain my situation, I exaggerate things. Since I'm busy nursing my nephew, helping out in our retail store, and watching anime, those three weeks seemed to fly by too quickly. I don't even notice every hour that passes in the day. I kind of actually get paid for helping our business and looking after my nephew, but it wasn't enough since I had to purchase baking trays and supplies as well. I wanted to sell baked goods (cakes, baked macaroni, brownies, etc.) online, as such that I could save money. My concern is that I am a complete beginner in the field of baking and do have not enough experience in cooking such things that is why I need to practice for myself. I also just bought an oven, as I mentioned in my previous writing how I dreamed to have one and I've been saving for it, and it has been a great accomplishment so far. In addition, as I always say, it took me nearly three years to save enough money to buy my dream oven, and I am grateful that it was finally sold on my birthday. But even if I spend all of my savings, it's worth every cent since it's a big investment that will help me to gain income and slowly help my parents to pay for some of our day-to-day expenses at home. Through my noise account, I already shared how happy I was to have met one of my goals, and of course, someone notified me under the name ***Smiley29***, they requested if I could post the recipes for baked goods that I would make for them to try. Of course, I'm more glad to help, and to be honest, baking and then posting it online was also a bit of a dream. Creating a YouTube account and publishing vlogs and content related to what I enjoy doing and my passion for cooking is also a fantasy of mine, but I'm not yet ready to enter that world, which is why I owe read and noise for allowing me to envision myself as a blogger that I can freely share my knowledge and experience. Those three weeks sure fly so fast but there are a lot of good things that happened, as I have a lot of blessings from God, not only for the opportunity to obtain the thing that I always wanted to have but also the precious time I was able to spend with my family during my special day. Unfortunately, I won't be able to practice baking since the second semester is about to begin next week. It seems to be a nice way for me to save funds for some ingredients that I'll be needing while I'm waiting for some free time to bake. I'm now starting to feel the pressure and excitement of the second semester, even though I'm not quite ready yet, but I'm optimistic that I'll be able to handle it. I'm just hoping there won't be any more terror professors in my class haha just kidding. Brace yourselves as it is about to end, see you on our next journey! ***You can check a few of my previous works here*** Find Me In This Virtual World https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/find-me-in-this-virtual-world-adb235af Gifts Gift https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/gifts-gift-efcf2216 Desire Over Misery https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/desire-over-misery-ea26c81e Eating and Its Twin Disorders https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/eating-and-its-twin-disorders-ebc8d748 Tokyo-Tokyo Jello Dessert My Own Version https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/tokyo-tokyo-jello-dessert-my-own-version-caa35f1e ***Disclaimer:*** *I am neither a psychologist nor a financial advisor, and all of my pieces were done for entertainment purposes only. Slack Off Night Before Re-Entering Second Semester Studying can sometimes be emotionally draining, particularly now like we're in a virtual class, and you only have to rely on yourself to study each module since the synchronous class achieves only once a week. *But before anything else, I'd like to extend my gratitude to my sponsors for their support, and you can visit their accounts to read interesting pieces.* And this is our own kind of *walwal*, without having an alcoholic drink. All of the people in the photo are from my Junior High School class, and they are often with me because we are both in the same university and live close to each other. We mostly go out to relax after a long day of studying online. As we have work in the morning, we often meet every night. When one of our friends' parents sees us, the first question they ask is, "What are your plans right now?". Even my mother referred to this gathering as a night class because, if we are busy as students in the morning, we are also busy at night, meeting up to discuss the lessons we have been studying in class. `Walwal is a slang term for a party or small gathering with friends, it's more akin to a Filipino slang term for "let's get wasted."` We all enjoy eating together, but because we want to be practical, we contribute and buy our own ingredients to cook at home because it's less expensive than eating out. We do, however, eat out when we have the chance, but it is a very rare occurrence. In addition, we aren't the type of young people who spend money on gambling or alcohol, so when we want to hang out, we just cook and eat while listening to stories or watching movies. Although we do not drink alcohol on a regular basis, we do drink it on special occasions as well, in my opinion, because at gatherings, alcohol is simply an excuse to open our mouths and chat with our friends to catch up on things. Because gatherings are for reuniting with people with whom you want to spend time for a period of time, you don't always need alcohol to say "party." "You'll just throw up the alcohol and yet you're still spending," I say, but it's just a waste of money, excuse me. I'm just being a bit futuristic in terms of what I'd spend my money and time on if it was truly worthwhile. Then I guess my friends and I are the same way, which is why we rarely drink when we are together, even on special occasions, and we prefer to eat and talk as a way of bonding because it is more important to us. Even though we were on a semester break and were busy with our own lives, last night's group chat was raucous, and it was discussed that the start of the second semester was approaching, and we hadn't been out in weeks. As a result, they planned to meet at a friend's house and watch a movie together. My plan was to watch Detective Conan, but they picked me up at home, so I stayed because they couldn't cook without me. I was in charge of cooking, there was an assignment to collect and budget the money, someone was in charge of doing the dishes, someone was in charge of looking for a movie to watch, and someone was in charge of buying the ingredients. In order to be fair, we do this so that everyone can complete their tasks more quickly. We only decided to eat Sisig, French fries, and Pancit Canton noodles last night. While the movie was playing, we ate and talked all night as usual. We arrived home around 11 p.m., I believe. I don't regret wasting that night's time with them because meeting them made me feel emotionally satisfied. How about you how do you spend your time with your friends? ***You can check a few of my previous works here*** A Dreamers Responsibility https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/a-dreamers-responsibility-7638ce80 Is That It Semestral Break https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/is-that-it-semestral-break-04752c3b Find Me In This Virtual World https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/find-me-in-this-virtual-world-adb235af Gifts Gift https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/gifts-gift-efcf2216 Desire Over Misery https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/desire-over-misery-ea26c81e ***Disclaimer:*** *I am neither a psychologist nor a financial advisor, and all of my pieces were done for entertainment purposes only. Find Me In This Virtual World Playing, either physically or virtually, is one of the few forms of entertainment we use to relieve boredom. Well, obviously we have our own preferences in terms of gaming, and online games come in five different types namely are **simulation, adventure, role-play, strategy, and quiz.** Apart from providing entertainment, these games, through simulating the real world as closely as possible, help us to improve our decision-making skills and adapt to various scenarios of a situation. *But before anything else, I'd like to extend my gratitude to my sponsors for their support, and you can visit their accounts to read interesting pieces.* Due to the rapid changes in the world, we now have a mobile phone that has evolved into what we have today from a telegraph that is primarily used for long-distance communication. Apart from its predominant intent of keeping people connected despite their physical distance, it now has a wide range of capabilities, including the ability to take pictures, store data, and entertain us. In today's society, phones have become a necessity for individuals because they are not only used for personal purposes but also to stay notified at work, school, and with world events. `Fun facts did you know that William Higinbotham, a physicist, created Tennis for Two in 1958, which is considered to be the first video game? While Tetris was the first mobile phone game ever released? It was published by Hagenuk Corporations in late 1994.` Games are just a few of the phone's features that keep us entertained, they are accessible in both offline and online games. Gaming is available to people of all ages, so whether you're a child, a teen, a worker, or an elderly person, you can play as much as you want. I personally, spend some of my free time playing online games in addition to my other interests. ***Play Together****,* is one of the games that piqued my interest and is now one of my favorite. I usually prefer restaurant-related or puzzle games but this one was an exemption. Play Together was developed by **HAEGIN Co., Ltd** last year 2021 which now is available in the Play store and is compatible with both android and IOS devices. It is a casual game, where you can create your own avatar and you can be whoever you want in their virtual world. Their graphics were quite impressive, and in addition to completing missions, you can make friends while playing as they have a chat section. They also had cute mini-games that you could play to earn more coins to spend on your house, clothes, and pets. I'm so excited to share my thoughts on this game that it almost feels like I'm doing a vlog review, but this is a written version. I go by the name ***JustGelaii*** in their platform, what are you waiting for come on let's play together in their virtual world, see you there! ***You can check a few of my previous works here*** Gifts Gift https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/gifts-gift-efcf2216 Desire Over Misery https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/desire-over-misery-ea26c81e Eating and Its Twin Disorders https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/eating-and-its-twin-disorders-ebc8d748 Tokyo-Tokyo Jello Dessert My Own Version https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/tokyo-tokyo-jello-dessert-my-own-version-caa35f1e We All Have Demons Inside https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/we-all-have-demons-inside-b27d5da0 ***Disclaimer:*** *I am neither a psychologist nor a financial advisor, and all of my pieces were done for entertainment purposes only. Gift's Gift We emphasize other people's talent as a gift saying that these capabilities make one individual unique from each other. However, an individual who has had a disability since birth is also entitled to a gift from one family. *But before anything else, I'd like to extend my gratitude to my sponsors for their support, and you can visit their accounts to read interesting pieces.* I had a younger sister who was a year younger than me, and I had already mentioned her in the article *"**How Distance Strengthens Us**."* Ann doesn't live with us for a decade and instead lives with my aunt during that time. Since my sister required a lot of attention, especially during her therapy sessions, our parents decided to hire my aunt as her private guardian. https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/how-distance-strengthens-us-667d5ebf She used to have a hearing aid that helped her adapt to her surroundings. Her doctor advised her not to treat us any differently, so we followed his advice. She was enrolled in a regular school and went to a summer school where she was taught how to draw during the summer vacation. During her time there, she learned how to distinguish between the sounds of each letter in the alphabet, allowing her to better pronounce words. Apart from that, she was able to boost her self-esteem because Ann is frequently chosen to represent their class as a muse. Ann honed her artistic skills and was able to create a variety of portraits and paintings. She is now living with us because of the pandemic outbreak she was taken from our aunt's care by our father. Our relatives were blown away by her artistic abilities, which included portraits, paintings, crafts, crochet, and much more. Ann had multiple tantrums during the first months of her living with us on the same roof, which is obviously far away from our aunt's hometown, because she misses our aunt Tess. During those times, she wouldn't bother to talk to us about the specific situation, and if she was frustrated, she would lock herself in her room and refuse to eat her meals. She wasn't used to our way of life, where we spend the majority of our time in our store and can't afford to pay her enough attention. That attitude of hers persisted for almost a year until he began throwing massive tantrums in which she became more physically hostile to us. She would glare at our mother incessantly just to show off how angry she was. She even ended up breaking my tripod and tearing up my underwear, and worst of all, she punched me in the face, causing my right cheek to swell at the time, and we were in front of our father at the time. Ann was severely chastised for her obstinacy. She would then punch the wall in her room after she learned to hurt herself, which is extremely disturbing. I try to communicate with our aunt about Ann's behavior, and she confirms that if she didn't want or didn't get what she wanted, she would literally throw a fit. I and both of my parents gradually agreed that we would not tolerate her disturbing behavior, but instead of arguing and apologizing to Ann whenever she was upset, we decided to act as if we hadn't noticed her sulking. This has been going on for almost a month, but the progress is gradually improving. Of course, as a token of my appreciation for her generosity, I bought her a set of artisan pencils. I'm not sure what it's called, hehe, because I'm not into art. But she was ecstatic to be able to use it. After all of those events, Ann was a better person. I can't say she's better now, but she's okay with our way of life here in our home. She's learning to assist us in our business, she's learning to adapt, and she hasn't thrown any wild tantrums recently, which is incredible. She does portraits to keep herself occupied when she gets bored. She accepts requests to paint portraits for our relatives, but she does not do so for free; she charges for each piece she creates. Despite her circumstances, I believe she inherited our parents' business mindsets. Not to brag, but she was a math prodigy, unlike me. I'd like to bring this up so that everyone can learn more about the situation of people with disabilities. It doesn't mean they can't improve their physical appearance or the things they can't do like a normal person. They had their own capabilities, just like everyone else, and they wanted to be seen as someone who could be respected enough to not be treated unfairly. They can do things that some of us can't, they're humans, too, they have emotions and sometimes they cannot control themselves not to feel frustrated it just takes a lot of patience to understand them better. Ann is one of a million with a person with a disability but we considered her as a gift from God with a gift that she was given to excel in the field of art. ***You can check a few of my previous works here*** Desire Over Misery https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/desire-over-misery-ea26c81e Eating and Its Twin Disorders https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/eating-and-its-twin-disorders-ebc8d748 Tokyo-Tokyo Jello Dessert My Own Version https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/tokyo-tokyo-jello-dessert-my-own-version-caa35f1e We All Have Demons Inside https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/we-all-have-demons-inside-b27d5da0 How Distance Strengthens Us https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/how-distance-strengthens-us-667d5ebf ***Disclaimer:*** *I am neither a psychologist nor a financial advisor, and all of my pieces were done for entertainment purposes only. Desire Over Misery *It felt incredible to have something you could call your own.* *But before anything else, I'd like to extend my gratitude to my sponsors for their support, and you can visit their accounts to read interesting pieces.* Some may oppose the particular subject I'd like to discuss today, but one of many people's ultimate goals is to raise enough money to buy the things they want to possess. It's impossible not to dream about having a good life, a decent house, or the materials that so many people are obsessed to have with. There's nothing wrong with enjoying something as long as you can pay for it with money earned through your own labor. Buying what we want for ourselves has never been wrong, were free to purchase whatever we want to satisfy our desires, even if the satisfaction is merely temporary. Society is premised on the idea that our possessions are an extension of ourselves, a legacy, and that our essence is focused primarily on what we develop or possess. Materialistic traits are one of the addictions that are difficult to overcome as they are deeply embedded in our human nature. It's inevitable not to be obsessed with money and material possessions. We have a tendency to purchase things one after the other, believing that we do need or deserve them. It's pleasurable, of course, to have everything we want. Whereas it is also one of the curses that will bring us misery. *I received a phone call earlier from an unknown number, which I assumed was from a courier since I was expecting a delivery today. Casual greetings at first, then she was told she was from a loaning agency and she asked if I knew anyone named "Marites" (this is just an alias I made up for her as I don't want her real name to be released publicly). She continued to discuss some sort of overdue loan transaction, and I only knew her name but had no idea who she was. I couldn't pay attention to what she was saying as I was at work and had a customer at the moment. I just happened to grasp some of what she was saying. I'm about to hang up as I'm already getting distracted, but she asks for my assistance in notifying Marites to repay the loan. I lost my patience, I just said that it is not my obligation to involve myself in someone's problem.* *My parents advised me to leave it on a ring and not pay attention to it after they called twice more and sent me a message to contact Marites. My apologies for being rude, but I've decided not to assist them. Consider the possibility that if I agree to cooperate with this agency, there's a possible scenario that Marites would become agitated and accuse me of making up a story.* We take out a loan because we are short on funds, and we agree to repay it at the agreed time. I don't have enough information to determine why Marites was in debt. If there is an emergency and they require financial assistance, it is a reasonable reason to borrow money. However, it is also their responsibility to repay what they borrow because that is what was agreed upon. This given situation is one of the instances that can be the consequence of being a lavish person who spends nonstop, no offense taken but someone else is persecuted as a result of one's materialistic disposition. *Why waste money on items that aren't actually useful?* *Why seek happiness in material possessions?* Being greedy and materialistic can’t be cured if you don’t help yourself get up. There is so much to see in life, and so much that we can do in this existence to be considered our legacy. We just need to find what is our purpose in life apart from what can make us happy. Life isn't always about seeking happiness and satisfaction since we always go through difficulties, it is about the morals and values that we gained along with the progress. ***You can check a few of my previous works here*** Eating and Its Twin Disorders https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/eating-and-its-twin-disorders-ebc8d748 Tokyo-Tokyo Jello Dessert My Own Version https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/tokyo-tokyo-jello-dessert-my-own-version-caa35f1e We All Have Demons Inside https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/we-all-have-demons-inside-b27d5da0 How Distance Strengthens Us https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/how-distance-strengthens-us-667d5ebf Teenage Pregnancy https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/teenage-pregnancy-76b5be82 ***Disclaimer:*** *I am neither a psychologist nor a financial advisor, and all of my pieces were done for entertainment purposes only. Eating and Its Twin Disorders An eating disorder is a mental illness that affects people's physical bodies. It can be defined by how people eat, their body weight and mass, and their lifestyle, all of which classify them as unhealthy people. *But before anything else, I'd like to extend my gratitude to my sponsors for their support, and you can visit their accounts to read interesting pieces.* **Let's talk about eating first before we get into the deeper meaning.** Human bodies required a concentrated source of energy, which was primarily obtained from the foods and beverages that we consumed. Nutrients obtained from food fuel our bodies' ability to function in day-to-day activities. Simply says to live well, eat well. There are Four Types of Eating: **Fuel eating** also known as *clean eating,* eat to give your body the nutrients and energy it necessitates. Fresh, nutritious, and minimally processed foods are frequently consumed in this manner. **Fun eating**, from the word itself, any food that we crave or enjoy eating without providing any nutritional value to our bodies is referred to as junk food (French fries, ice cream, cake, beer). We do these to fill ourselves up with the pleasure that these foods provide. **Fog eating** occurs when we eat without being aware of or paying attention to the taste of our food or the number of times we eat. These are more about eating without taking the time to savor every bite of food; it's as if we're just eating to keep our mouth busy. **Storm eating is** typically what we called *binge eating*. We eat a lot more than we usually do when we're eating out of control. You are aware that you are eating and that you have consumed a large amount of food, but you are unable to stop yourself from eating more. This usually happens when we are dealing with overwhelming emotions and the only thing that we find to cope with that distress is to consume food none stop. Folks often do this in private, and after consuming a large amount of food, they may feel embarrassed and ashamed and guilty over how much they consumed. A person's body can suffer from a variety of complications if they do not lead a healthy lifestyle and live a well-balanced diet. Every complication that can hit the human body may not immediately show symptoms. Although one of the noticeable changes here is the weight of a person. Eating disorders are one of the most common ones faced by every individual when it comes to ingesting food. Eating disorders do not develop as a result of a person's choice, rather, they develop as a result of various psychological influences that an individual experiences. This is a life-threatening mental illness because it affects not only an individual's social and functional role but can also lead to death if left untreated. There are Six Common Types of Eating Disorders. **Anorexia Nervosa -** People with these disorders mistakenly perceive themselves as overweight, despite the fact that they are dangerously underweight. They are afraid to gain weight which results in them restricting themselves from eating certain foods and forcefully restricting their calory intakes. The majority of those who suffer from these are those who modeled and performed on stage for entertainment. **Bulimia Nervosa -** People who suffer from it frequently consume more calories than their bodies require. They usually can't stop themselves from eating until they are painfully full. Although, rather than becoming underweight, the person who is affected by it will maintain their natural weight. **Binge Eating Disorder -** This is the most common disorder, and it's similar to bulimia, which is when people eat more than their bodies require. As previously stated, it is frequently done privately by a person as a result of an overwhelming feeling that they experience even if they are not truly hungry. They forcefully eat and then regret it shortly after finishing the larger amount of food. **Pica -** A disorder in which a person eats things that aren't edible (soil, foam, plastic, paper, soap) and is thought to affect children and people with mental illnesses the most. It's so dangerous that it's possible that they'll die from poisoning as a result of it. **Rumination Disorder -** This is a relatively new eating disorder in which people regurgitate the food they eat on a regular basis, with the option of swallowing or spitting it out. We've mostly observed this behavior in infants who only suck the juice or taste the food. This is a habit that can be experienced by children and adults alike, and it is not limited to infancy. This behavior can result in a deficiency in the availability of nutrients, which can lead to malnutrition. **Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder -** This occurs when an infant or child develops a habit of having no interest in the food they consume as an adult, causing people to undereat. This could be due to a lack of nutrients in their bodies, but it could also affect their growth and physique development. It is believed that there are various factors that are mainly attributed to an individual's eating disorder. The first is an individual's personality traits; ***neuroticism, perfectionism, and impulsivity*** are instances of personality traits that can lead to an eating disorder. Another factor is the country's perceived standards and ideals, which puts pressure on individuals to restrict their food intake in order to achieve their desired weight. Peer pressure can also contribute to the development of an eating disorder. Experts also believe that differences in human brain structures and levels of the brain messengers serotonin and dopamine could be also a factor. The disrupted mind of those who suffer from this illness is prone to have suicidal thoughts. It takes a long time to recover from this type of illness. I used to deprive myself of food and force myself to follow an unhealthy diet in order to lose weight after being subjected to body shaming in junior high school. I yearned for my friends' approval in shaping my body and weight to the point where I was willing to put my health at risk just so they would accept me, but after a while, I realized how toxic this society can be. How can I, and others like me, be forced to do things we don't need to do in order to be accepted by the people in our lives. Our body shapes, weight, and curves are all determined by our genes. I recently went on a diet, a healthy diet, for myself, not just to prove to my peers that I can lose weight, but also to improve my health and love my physical appearance. Self-appreciation and self-love are the most important thing that one must have, even if everyone in the world abandons us, at least we have ourselves who can appreciate what we have not based on any ideals or standards of others. I may have flaws, but that does not mean I will underestimate myself, we all have our own uniqueness. We were all gorgeous in our own way, and we thrived for our own happiness rather than for the approval of others. ***You can check a few of my previous works here*** Tokyo-Tokyo Jello Dessert My Own Version https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/tokyo-tokyo-jello-dessert-my-own-version-caa35f1e We All Have Demons Inside https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/we-all-have-demons-inside-b27d5da0 How Distance Strengthens Us https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/how-distance-strengthens-us-667d5ebf Teenage Pregnancy https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/teenage-pregnancy-76b5be82 Investing Golden Rule https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/investing-golden-rule-f1091500 ***Disclaimer:*** *I am neither a psychologist nor a financial advisor, and all of my pieces were done for entertainment purposes only. Tokyo-Tokyo Jello Dessert: My Own Version The last time I visit Tokyo Tokyo I have my Chicken Karage and of course, for a bigger eater like me, it's no exception to top up my meal hahaha. *But before anything else, I'd like to extend my gratitude to my sponsors for their support, and you can visit their accounts to read interesting pieces.* It's a good thing I got there early because I was almost alone when I placed my order at the counter. I have a Chicken Karage last time since I was craving their chicken. I'm not actually a fan of these food chains since I was a kid, we were always either *Buddies, Mang Inasal, Chowking, KFC, Greenwich, or Jollibee.* Naturally, my childhood obsession with manga and anime-influenced me to try Japanese cuisine makibg me now a patron of Tokyo Tokyo. *Seriously, who wouldn't be thrilled to try their foods and learn about their culture if every anime/manga featured foods that looked enticing and mouth-watering. And talk about their ways of living, it surely will tempt you to visit the country soon enough because of their great culture and exquisite inventions that are far superior to those found in our country.* Due to the obvious positive effects of globalization, we now have an outlet to at least try some of their food without having to visit their country. The reason we can't assume that the food we taste in such food chains is authentic. Well obviously, the fact that the food is being prepared by our fellowmen it will surely have some changes in terms of ingredients, texture, and the process of making the product which is considered as a factor to modify the original taste of the food. Going back to the main subject, apparently, I always top-up my order since I love having soup in each of my meals. I got a dessert to go with my miso soup, I used to add an ala carte order of California Sushi, it's a bummer that it wasn't available at that time. I've been having their dessert ever since, and at first, I was a bit confused about its taste since it was new to my preference but throughout the time I gradually enjoyed it. I'm not certain what their dessert is called, but I'm craving it. Unfortunately, I can't afford to go to their place right now because I don't have a budget yet. And this is where my ability comes in handy, I'm too grateful to God for blessing me with this skill of being able to cook, so I decided to make one, an imitation of Tokyo Tokyo dessert. And here's how I made it: ***For the first layer you'll be needing;*** *1 Pack Jello (White)* *2 Stick Nescafe Classic* *½ Cup of sugar* *4 Cups of water* ***And for the non-oven and no steam leche flan you will need;*** *4 Egg yolk* *250 ml. Evaporated Milk* *1/3 Cup of Condense Milk* *1/2 Cup of Sugar* *1/2 Tsp. of Vanilla Essence* ***Procedure:*** *I prepare the coffee base jello first by combining all dry ingredients and dissolve it on four cups of water until there are no lumps before I put it over a low medium heat. Just continously stir it then after it boils transfer it to clean container. Let it dry first before proceding on making the secong layer of our dessert.* *Just like the first step you just need to comibed all the ingredients and mix it well before putting on the stove over a very low heat, continously stir it to avoid having lumps in our leche flan. After it boils you can already layered it with our first base (coffee jelly). Then wait for another minutes to solidify our dessert.* *You can put it on fridge for few minutes to make it cool or you can eat it after it cools down, we all have oure preference I just like my dessert to be cold so I waited for ten more minutes before I serve itwith my family.* It's easy to make and sure is affordable although it still takes a lot of patience waiting for it to cool down. But trust me it's all be worth it in the end since this one sure tastes superb! So what are you waiting for? try this one out to showcase it to your loved ones this coming valentine! ***You can check a few of my previous works here*** We All Have Demons Inside https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/we-all-have-demons-inside-b27d5da0 How Distance Strengthens Us https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/how-distance-strengthens-us-667d5ebf Teenage Pregnancy https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/teenage-pregnancy-76b5be82 Investing Golden Rule https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/investing-golden-rule-f1091500 Why I Choose To Stay Single https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/why-i-choose-to-stay-single-1628431e ***Disclaimer:*** *I am neither a psychologist nor a financial advisor, and all of my pieces were done for entertainment purposes only. We All Have Demons Inside *Being obedient and being kind to others, are the two things that I always reminded me of as a kid by the elders.* *But before anything else, I'd like to extend my gratitude to my sponsors for their support, and you can visit their accounts to read interesting pieces.* My parents aren't the sweet and showy type, and these characteristics f them make me envious of my classmates and friends who have supportive parents. I often cursed our business for the majority of my childhood since my parents were too busy managing our retailing store and I didn't feel like I was getting enough attention as their children. Family day, recognition, field trips, competition, and a slew of other school events that a parent was supposed to attend in order to represent themselves as a guardian to their children they weren't there. During educational tours, I am frequently left with my advisory teacher, and our school's teachers are frequently the ones who stand by me to receive awards at special ceremonies. I always felt an outcast in our class since I was the only one who was always without a parent during special events. As time goes on I feel jealous of my classmates and even the hatred that is building towards my parents. As time passes, I grow extremely jealous of my classmates, as well as the hatred that is building towards my parents. I was often murmured during special ceremonies how I wished t change my parent's personality from becoming an outgoing and supportive one just like the rest of my classmate's parents. I was bullied in elementary and junior high school, and I often cried and returned home with a puffy eye, but my parents didn't notice this thing since they were too busy at the store. I can't express my fear and hatred for those who bully me in words, and I'm not open with my parents. I decided to keep all of my rage, envy, hatred, and resentment to myself. These overwhelming emotions caused me to have sleepless nights where I couldn't stop crying. Until all of these emotions erupted into a rage, and during my puberty, I became such a rebellious child. I am a consistent honor student and I was an active student who often compete in different fields, but I am also one of the most reprehensible students. I have always been in the schools' guidance office since I often get involved in fights and arguments with my classmates. I also began to bully my fellow students, which I had previously despised. I learned to drink alcohol at a very young age, even before I was of legal drinking age. My older brother saw these traits of mine as a stain to our family name as being a well-known conservative family in our neighborhood. My eldest brother and I often fought because I was jealous of him and towards our younger sister, since both of our parents made an effort to attend every special occasion at their school, even if it was distant away from our home. There are times that my parents and older brother confront me, asking what are my reasons for doing such mischievous and rebellious acts. I couldn't put what I've been feeling inside into words, I couldn't cry either but when I saw my mother cry I feel like I'm the worst person that made them suffer so much from my mess. I couldn't speak my thoughts to say that all I wanted was their attention I just burst into tears. Before I completed my junior year I'm glad that I somehow able to open up a little to my mother about the things that I feel frustrated about and for the things that I thought that doesn't matter to them. Good thing after that I realized little by little each sacrifice that they made from the very first day this family formed. Our parents may not be present during those years that we thought to be important but they are present when we are at our darkest times. Those decisions of them not to attend every school event somehow help us, siblings, to become independent individuals. After all these years I still think about how dumb I become during my younger years. Well of course I felt guilty about my past but I haven't regretted what I went through before to become this person now. I still have flaws and I still have a lot to learn in life, it is a good thing I still have my parents who never stop to guide me. ***You can check a few of my previous works here*** https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/how-distance-strengthens-us-667d5ebf https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/teenage-pregnancy-76b5be82 https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/investing-golden-rule-f1091500 https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/why-i-choose-to-stay-single-1628431e https://read.cash/@GelayyLumiere/who-are-you-f707201e ***Disclaimer:*** *I am neither a psychologist nor a financial advisor, and all of my pieces were done for entertainment purposes only. How Distance Strengthens Us *The strongest bond that cannot easily be torn apart is the family bond* My oldest brother already has his own family, and I am the second among us three siblings while my little sister which a year younger than me has a disability. Let's just call her Ann, she has been deaf since birth, which explains why she is unable to communicate properly. Ann and I were inseparable when we were younger, and even though we couldn't communicate properly verbally, we found a way to communicate with each other through hand signs. As naive children, I often suggest one specific game, we used to play pretending we were at school. I pretend to be her teacher, and I recall teaching her how to say simple words such as *"mama"* (though we address our mother as *"nanay")* since I thought that she was still a baby and couldn't speak properly. Our family's main source of income is our retailing store, which is operated by both of my parents and keeps them extremely busy throughout the day. My sister and I are both very mischievous, and because Ann and I are so far apart in age from our eldest brother, Ann and I prefer to play in the street with the other kids in our neighborhood. An accident occurred when I was seven years old and Ann was six years old. She was hit by a tricycle while running down the street in front of our house, thankfully, the vehicle was moving slowly, and my sister just manage to acquire only just a scratch. But it didn't end there, our parents agreed to put my youngest sister Ann in the care of a single aunt in a distant area. I'm starting to go to daycare back then so I have no choice but to stay here at our place while my sister is taking care to live somewhere else. Every vacation, we get a chance to bound by taking me to our grandmother's house, where our aunt, who looks after my sister, also lives. But this stops when I was in fourth grade, however, my parents decided to just let me help to the store after school and during summer vacation. My older brother moved to my grandmother's house a few years later as he was in college, leaving me alone at home with our parents. Well, it is a good thing since he was able to look after our Ann there. As we grow older, we each go through phases and changes in life, I form my own circle of friends here, and she does the same there. We only see each other at my family gatherings because my parents only visit her on occasion to meet her needs and give her and my aunt an allowance. On rare occasions, I invite her to go shopping or to a restaurant to catch up on things we've missed over the years. Of course, I thought to myself at the time that we were so close as sisters, but I soon realized that I knew nothing about her, what her favorite foods, or what are her hobbies, and she was the same on me. Of course, the fact that we were sisters will never change, but there is a certain amount of awkwardness on some occasions. My father brought Ann home to our place when the pandemic outbreak to save money since they couldn't support her there anymore, from the start to the pandemic all became restricted even a visit, our store also experience a drop in net income. The best part is that my sister, Ann, and I are home under the same roof after a decade apart. She threw a lot of tantrums and had mood swings at first, which we believe was due to homesickness. She can't express it verbally, but we understand some of her rages, sometimes she can't help but be irritated by our parents, she's always asking for a hearing aid but sadly we couldn't afford to buy one for now. She already has before but it's long gone now. I couldn't help but argue with her, especially when she was throwing tantrums, and I couldn't help but be annoyed by her behavior. I always lose my temper whenever she is rude. At the very least, those fights allowed us to learn more about ourselves, and we now have a better understanding of the things that irritate us. It's also normal for us to have disagreements. However, apart from her condition, I now have a better understanding of her behavior. After a year, Ann was finally able to make her adjustment to our way of life here, the homesickness she felt before gradually faded, and despite her circumstances, she knows how to assist us with housework and here in our family business. **Disclaimer:** I am neither a psychologist nor a financial advisor, and all of my pieces were done for entertainment purposes only. Teenage Pregnancy Let's talk about the topics that are rarely discussed. Teenage pregnancy, blessing indeed but it was not inappropriate in my opinion. I'm not here to make a point or offer an unqualified opinion on this matter. I respect everyone's right to their own opinions and beliefs. All I wanted was to get rid of this thought that I had every night before going to bed. Teenage pregnancy can occur in three ways: some may become too aggressive on trying out things, others may be sexually abused, and some women may become pregnant by accident. I'm not saying that teenage pregnancy is a bad idea, my point is that we shouldn't do things out of lust and curiosity since there will always be consequences. If someone really wanted to do it, then they free to do so, but make I think they need to make sure to use proper safety precautions (contraceptives). I simply believe that the challenge in this situation is not only for the couple who will become a new parents and their child but also for the guardians and parents of those teenagers. Parents always want the best for their children, they risk everything for our future and make sacrifices. All of that will be ignored just because of this matter, instead of them being able to retired in their old age and us reaping the benefits of their sacrifices for us. As their child became parents at a young age, they couldn't stop caring for their children and its offspring. They are suffering as a result of their child's mistake. Aside from that, there are this abortion. The child in the pregnant woman's womb were innoncent but they are most often become the victim of abortion simply because they aren't ready to be a parent or because it was created by an accident. I don't think there are such thing as accident in terms of doing sexual intercourse well the only exemption to the rule if they were sexually abuse. Another factor is adoption, while it is commendable that they raised the child for 9 months in their biological mothers womb. If the child were taken into adoption it is like a lifetime of searching for the them who will feel as if he does not exist in the world due to a lack of identity. They may prosper and be part of a family that loves them unconditionally, but the lack of their own identity will not fill the void in their hearts. It's also possible that they won't thrive in a loving home. When it comes to starting a family, there are a lot of things to think about, so please choose to do what your parents advise you to do. My brother always tells me, "Follow first before you disobey" (makinig ka muna bago ka sumuway). I don't want to live with regrets for the rest of my life, I still want to do more as a young adult, and I hope that other young people share my sentiments. I don't want my parents to be disappointed by my choice, so I'll try to save first before considering the things that most adults consider, such as starting a family and having a child. I mean no offense for those people who have a different opinion I just freely wanted to share this opinion of mine. **Disclaimer:** I am neither a psychologist nor a financial advisor, and all of my pieces were done for entertainment purposes only. Investing Golden Rule Do your own research Risk only what you afford to lose Never let your emotions consume you Cryptocurrency is a digital currency, or "virtual money," in which transactions are verified and records are kept by a decentralized system that is also organized using peer-to-peer blockchain technology. Instead of relying on a centralized authority to secure each transaction, it employs cryptography. Cryptocurrency currently includes Bitcoins, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, SLP, and a variety of other tokens. These tokens represent the amount of money you have, and you can buy or sell them using a variety of crypto applications and platforms. A good way to invest, particularly now that everything has been modernized, and because the internet makes it easier for us to trade cryptocurrencies. Aside from that, it is private management, and you can see the decrease and increase in the price of each coin, as well as the speed and ease with which each transaction is completed. Many people are probably already fascinated by the idea of investing in crypto coins, aside from the fact that it will help the money grow in value by generating interest. It also aids in understanding the economics of the various currencies used around the world. Some people say it's just a scam, but I don't believe it is because crypto currency is made up of blockchains unless there are self-proclaimed earnings or investment websites set up with malicious intent. All things that seem "too good to be true" should be carefully considered, as they are almost always intended to be scams. In crypto, there is no such thing as everyone being easily tormented. In my personal belief, having a bad trading experience is unavoidable. You may now suffer losses, but just as the golden rule states, learn to research on your own before relying on online guides. The best experiences are those in which we learn from our own mistakes. If you have been the victim of a scam, try to remember what went wrong and where you went wrong. You may also be lacking in knowledge and simply trust. Because there aren't enough recommendations and good words to believe everything you read and see in this type of investment, it's best to do some research first. Understanding the field of cryptocurrency takes time, but it is time well spent if you excel. Diligence is always a key factor in many situations. Because the market for this type of trading changes every second, remember that risk is the only amount you can afford to lose if you don't want to go bankrupt. You can make a mistake with one wrong prediction or decision, especially if you allow your emotions to guide you. Money is not the only basis for investment, time spent learning how to be a better investor is also important. If you want to win, you must also be willing to accept the possibility of losing what you've invested; we must learn to accept defeat because we don't always win. According to my personal experience, I was also bankrupted as a result of a hasty decision to buy and sell coins. Yes, it's unfortunate, but don't let it drive you to seek vengeance because you won't be able to use your mental capacity properly if you let emotion make the decision for you. It is preferable to calm your sekf before deciding whether or not to trade right now; it is up to you whether you want to move your trades every minute or hold them for a long time. There are numerous foundations and aspects on which we must rely. The desire to make money is insufficient whereas a lack of knowledge in this field, as well as greed, can make you even more depressed. It's still worthwhile to study at your own pace and try to devise a strategy for controlling your emotions when it comes to making decisions. Strive for what you want and be thoughtful and knowledgeable about how you'll stay on the path you've chosen. **Disclaimer:** I am neither a psychologist nor a financial advisor, and all of my pieces were done for entertainment purposes only. Why I Choose To Stay Single Family relationship, friendship, acquaintanceship, and the relationship that we have with our certain special person that we all believe are the one that has been destined for us. Relationship, single statement with many connotations. Aside from it being a label, there is a great deal of responsibility and affiliation bound to it. We can't say everyone's had the experience of being into a relationship of being a romantic couple, but I know everyone's had the experience of admiring someone. Crushes, puppy love, first love all of them are different. One may choose to be in a romantic relationship for a different purpose, some may just want to reciprocate what they received from the other, some may choose to find fulfillment in their heart by bounding a relationship with a different person one may just want to take a risk on being committed to a certain person. But I suppose it's different for someone like me, an independent personality also desires a partner since they want to feel special too. However, it's difficult to find a partner in our case, not because we set high standards, but because most people who try to approach occasionally felt intimidated by our personality. I'm not sure if what I'm going to say is applicable for all but as someone with an independent personality, I see my goal as a necessity formed by my own struggle without relying on others. Depending on the situation, I see my partner as a different person. He can be my man, my partner, my best friend, my associates, or anyone else depending on my mood. We accept advice and assistance, but not when it comes to something we choose to do on our own. And it was at this point that the intimidation began to rise. There’s an inevitable chance that we won’t be able to give them enough time for what many call *“quality time”* until we are not satisfied with the things we want to start or finish. Of course, our partners are more than willing to lend a helping hand, but the problem is that we usually refuse thinking that we can manage on our own. Most of the time we just ask for support and patience with these traits of ours but I guess that is too hard to bear with. I've been in intimate relationships twice, and both of them complained that I was arrogant and depend on my own too much, and they couldn't help but feel intimidated since I always declined their assistance. I'm too focused on my priorities, and I'm not aware that I'm hurting their feelings even though my intention was I don't want to bother them. I chose to be single after my previous relationship ended, and I frequently introspect on my personality, thinking of hat character I needed to enhance. From then on I understood myself little by little, realizing that I had this personality. I am not disappointed in myself even if no one attempts to dare to approach me, I know that I could survive anything as long as I value myself. Maybe I'll eventually realize enough that I needed a partner, that I needed their help by the time I'd gotten myself used to accepting help from others. Until the right time comes I choose to be single. **Disclaimer**: I am neither a psychologist nor a financial advisor, and all of my pieces were done for entertainment purposes only. Who Are You? Dreams are stories and images that our minds create while we sleep. If science were to describe them, they would say that it doesn't mean anything in reality. Dreams are nothing more than electrical impulses that dredge up images from our memories. However, if this were to be described by someone who believes in spirituality, one's dream might be described differently. Some may interpret it as a foreshadowing of what is to come or a prediction of what may occur in our lives. People may appear in your dream, but you will be unable to recognize them due to the blurry images of them in your dream. There are numerous factors that influence the existence of a dream, many of which are dependent on the individual. Also based on another article that I read before a person who can appear as a dream is the people you see, sometimes vivid images of them in your brain and some of them you can identify until you wake up. I'm not certain when he started to visit my dreams, I don't exactly know why I dream about him and I'm not sure who he is, whether he's someone from my past or that he is just a stranger that I happened to glance before. I've been thinking about it lately since one of my friends mentioned that the people we see in our dreams may be guests in our dreams, based on the beliefs he hears and reads online. According to it, souls may visit us in our dreams to interact with us and to give us guidance, and in return just as they do they seek prayer for our prayer for the forgiveness of their souls. Above all of these preconceptions about dreams, I knew that the person in my dream, even if I couldn't recognize his face, was a friend. I can't predict when he'll appear; I'm simply surprised when he reappears in my dreams. I believe it began when I was in junior high school,  and first, he was just with me in my dream traveling to different places that I am also not familiar with. Our relationship deepens over time as a result of these dreams; he may be an imaginary friend in my dreams, but he has a significant impact on my personality. There's this one time when I feel so empty and alone that I dreamed of him three nights in a row, believe it or not. From the flashes of what I can remember mostly of those times we just hang out, and I can see myself in my dreams telling him stories that I couldn't hear. He was always there and before I finished my dream he left, I can only remember his resemblance from his physique but I couldn't recognize his face. If he really was a soul I wouldn't be afraid if he's visiting my dream, after all, he helps me cope with what I've been feeling those nights. I haven't seen him in my dream since, but I'm sure I will soon, and if I have the ability to manipulate my dreams, I'd like to express my gratitude to him for being there at every high point of my emotions. **Disclaimer:** I am neither a psychologist nor a financial advisor, and all of my pieces were done for entertainment purposes only. A Glimpse of Marcos Regime **We only have a few months to fully decide whom to give our vote this coming new regime.** The more candidates there are, the more difficult it is to make a decision. It makes no difference to me whether the next President of the United States comes from a famous family or is a regular citizen, as long as he cares about our country and fellow citizens. However, it appears that such a desire for peace and for our country to rise again is particularly difficult to achieve, since our country are in huge debt. Ill-gotten wealth, martial law, and suppression are just a few of the factors that make me consider whether I give my vote to BongBong Marcos or not. Whether I have fond with the Marcos or not, one of the factors that make it difficult for voters today is a lack of knowledge of what really happened during the Marcos era. During those times, there was a mass media suppression making it like as a blank history. My mother would always brag about how much he despises that administration, but I couldn't just take her word for it, I needed to know what happened back then before deciding which side to believe but it seems impossible since we were lack of evidence from histories. Of course, this piqued my interest from time to time until I was satisfied with the information I received or read. So, while doing my own research, I came across this video, which has completely changed my opinion towarsd Marcos regime. ***https://youtu.be/2KSI75PtrLg;*** ***Millenials Find Out the Truth from the Youth of Martial Law*** This attached link to a documentary by a group of young journalists was too painful to watch. However, kudos to these students for having the courage to publish such a complex story from the past. There were many articles and documents during that time, but no one could tell the exact story of what happened because of the media's suppression, but this short video hits a different side of the story, with old people sharing their personal experiences during those times while they were still the youth of those times, was simply too inhuman. What they go through during those times are things I thought only happened in movies. The way the interviewee talked about her past was filled with emotions that couldn't be compared to anything, the emotions shown are full of extreme sadness and fear of their complicated past. Due to the general courageous individuals who have experienced violence during those eras, the cruel schemes behind those eras have been exposed. This may imply obvious opposition to the Marcos campaign, but it is still beneficial for those in the media, particularly journalism, to raise such issues as it gives today's youth a better understanding of what happened back then. Despite a prosperous lifestyle under former President Marcos' leadership. Our country's economy may have prospered and improved while Marcos was in power, but it is also undeniable that there was still unjust cruelty and media suppression, which, according to my research, led to the emergence of many rebel groups in our own country. Let's say BongBong is different from his father Ferdinand, but as my mother used to say and I now also believe, "a family member's mistake will be inherited by its entire clan." Feeding ourselves with information is important, but how can we be known if there is still a lack of information starting with the documentary and continuing to this day about those eras due to suppression. Giving a personal experience to those who have lived through martial law because they were present at the time is a big deal. I don't believe it is fair for today's netizens to criticize people who express their views on Marcoses, whether they are for or against it, because we all have different perspectives based on what we have read or heard. Being an open-minded person is the most effective way to choose who to vote for in the upcoming election. Maybe just respect everyone's viewpoint. Some may disagree with my viewpoint, but I'm still learning about the Marcoses, so don't hold it against me if this is what I've inferred from what I've seen and read. I'm still reluctant of my stand on this, so please do respect the perspective. I'm also looking forward to doing my own research background for the five other presidential aspirants hope I could make time for those things. **Disclaimer:** I am neither a psychologist nor a financial advisor, and all of my pieces were done for entertainment purposes only.
