For those of you that are new to my MidNight Gems series. Welcome to this nightly trip on which we will uncover & recover some amazing songs & covers.

Another Milestone that I never expected to reach....60 Midnight Gem Sessions and still going strong. So let´s rock on as in celebration of this 60th edition we´ll kick of with something that takes more than 30 seconds....but still is theatrical enough to deserve a place in tonight's trip.

We´ll defend to the death...because even if democracy is the best of all horrible options we have to govern humanity it should be defended against totalitarian regimes. Regimes in which people have even less influence than those who enjoy the semi-liberty of a so-called democracy.

War only knows casualties and refugees...many sons will be lost due to the insanity of certain so-called leaders. Lead by example...it seems impossible for many at the top.

For the first time since I was little, I actually think about the impact of nuclear war again.... It doesn´t hunt me as it did back then.

Still, it´s a sick idea that after so many years of treaties an idiot sits close enough to the red button again...I thought Trump sat close and was the biggest clown....but I should have known that his friend Putin would eventually be the worst weirdo.

There is no such thing as a winnable war. Would the world nowadays react differently now that we have the internet...would this fake information age change the way wars are won? Can it spark a global resistance against aggressors...and who exactly are those aggressors?

And I can even play a song that simplifies that message...because in the end, it´s really simple. War only exists by virtue of those who are willing to pick up the weapons and by those who are willing to look the other way out of fear.

We´re killing this planet already without a nuclear war...we do not need to speed up the process...we do not need any killings in anybody´s name. Not in the name of Love, Not justified by war, and Not for so-called peace.

What the fluff are midnight gems?

Somewhere lost in time, trying to escape out of the rabbit hole back into the rat race there is a vacuum..... that´s the place where midnight gems are found.

My Midnight Gems will try to uncover & recover those beautiful songs that nobody ever noticed or might have been forgotten.

Who the fluff am I?

Being a former DJ playing about everything and having an uncompleted study of radio journalism. I have been wanting to do this for years....Thought about it many nights and guess now it´s time to finally take it to the streets.
