For those of you that are new to my MidNight Gems series. Welcome to this nightly trip on which we will uncover & recover some amazing songs & covers.

While looking for songs that would fit my Midwinter session I came across this very sick little Gem....they are truly called Midwinter and I love this midevil hypnotizing tune.

One of the most perfect acid folksongs ever recorded. Near perfect (until the la la)

Not sure why I have not found this recording before, but have just discovered it this week. This is, without a doubt, one of the most incredibly pure choral/vocal performances I have ever heard. I was always a huge fan of The Kings Singers for similar reasons. And while not always the same genre of music, also love listening to Celtic Woman (especially the early years). But this performance of this, obviously, stunning choral work is simply amazing and inspirational.

I am trying to fill this cold winter night with amazing to provide some warmth while te sun is sleeping.

There is always that one night....that is the considered the coldest....not because of it´s actual temperature...but because of the lack of love surrounding you.

But what pulls us through that winter is the fact that we all know...that once winter is gone...the sun once again will overcome. And why did I never ever hear this version before.....this one beats the original in my book (and the original is one of my fav. golden oldies).

My Midnight Gems will try to uncover & recover those beautiful songs that nobody ever noticed or might have been forgotten.

Who the fluff am I?

Being a former DJ playing about everything and having an uncompleted study of radio journalism. I have been wanting to do this for years....Thought about it many nights and guess now it´s time to finally take it to the streets.
