For those of you that are new to my MidNight Gems series. Welcome to this nightly trip on which we will uncover & recover some amazing songs & covers.

Tonight we´ll explore how songs would have sounded if they were born ith the electronic Syntherverse.

Now this first one is just a guilty pleasure that kicked of me tripping around searching for those weird synths in the rough....so skip it if it makes you sick or admit that your taste in music is as sick as mine.

Abba´s back, but what if Abba was born in the 80´s and started their careers in the 90´s they would not have sound like this they would have sounded like super troupers.

Scarry huh, imagine what would have happened with all those classic songs.... and there my real trip started a very scary classic song, twisted and future coated... as it´s close to midnight let´s look horror right into the eyes.

Well that wasn´t so bad, just some childhood souls were broken down this road...but let´s keep traveling deeper into the night....looking for that Boulevard of broken dreams.

3. Green Day - Boulevard of Broken Dreams (80s Remix)

You walk alone, your little heart beating in the midnight dark...you hear him breathing.. you feel his breath on your skin.... his nails in your flesh ...you turn around...and are eye to eye with the trooper.

But he looks nothing like Eddy anymore.....you get bloody kisses from a mean cyborg machine formerly known as The Trooper.

The cover is not the best quality, but this attempt is amazing.

4. Synthwave | Iron Maiden - The Trooper

The Troopers kiss made you go numb, you slip into a coma and somewhere between heaven and hell you meet Chester....walking in your shoes. He tells you he went back to a different 1985 and you should check out this otherworldly version.

5. Linkin Park - Numb (The Optimizer 1985 Synthwave Remix)

I turn my back on Chester and float deeper in to the Syntherverse, but I feel eyes on me everywhere.... it´s like a million souls are watching me. But I keep floating deeper in the darkness towards the center of this fast universe.

6. Madelyn Darling - Somebody's Watching Me

All eyes disappear, all colors disappear, there is only darkness and the synthesized sounds of a canleless Solitude.

This is a true gem,just like the original.

7. Musa Tariq - Solitude (80’s Synth Remix) (Candlemass Cover)

Due to all this doom and gloom I can´t help falling back on the one and only darkwave prophet. The who already predicted that this deaf and blind kid would see the future and Tommee did.

Well and to overdo it to the max, lets have a synthwave medly covering songs from two synthwave legends. Leave that to the lovely ladies of PRIZM. Sit back, close your eyes and just love it!

What the fluff are midnight gems?

Somewhere lost in time, trying to escape out of the rabbit hole back into the rat race there is a vacuum..... that´s the place where midnight gems are found.

My Midnight Gems will try to uncover & recover those beautiful songs that nobody ever noticed or might have been forgotten.

Who the fluff am I?

Being a former DJ playing about everything and having an uncompleted study of radio journalism. I have been wanting to do this for years....Thought about it many nights and guess now it´s time to finally take it to the streets.
