A Quick Stop At Iligan City Esplanade
Kung Hei Fat Choy, read.cash family! I hope everyone is having a fruitful and abundant new year!
I don’t have work today, not a holiday actually, you know hospitals don’t have any breaks. However, I have applied for an off from work today, just because I needed some rest after a terrible upper back pain yesterday. I did self- PT (Physiotherapy), not self pity, haha! And, it does wonders! I felt some relief, but it still nags a bit if I do some typing in front of the computer.
Anyway, highway, let me divert you to today's topic- our afternoon out a quick stop in Iligan City Esplanade. This is located in my province, Iligan City, along the Bayug River, the esplanade terminates overlooking the Iligan Bay. This was just finished and opened to the public early last year.
Indeed, this is something new in our city, and our first time to come and check the place. If not for my sister’s persistence to drive them out. As she said, let’s celebrate Chinese New Year, haha! Lame excuse for full blooded Filipino, lol! Anyway, I knew beforehand that she’s itching to visit this place before leaving for Manila this weekend. Fine! Let’s go!
We left home at around 3pm, and dropped by to take-away a box of pizza from a local pizzeria. Around 4pm, we arrived at the Esplanade, took pictures, chill and hung out while eating the pizza. I’m glad that there are stalls from vendors selling soda, juice, tempura, squid roll, and siomai, because we have completely forgotten to bring some drinks.
Surprisingly, even if today is a holiday, there were only a few people roaming and chilling around the area. So thankful that we’re all safe somehow, less people, pretty good social distancing from other groups.
There are benches on the side, covered by these architecturally unique sheds. The pathway is really nice too for walking and jogging. The atmosphere is really cool and peaceful, somewhat windy of course. The place is clean too, because there are trash bins on every shed. The only problem I have seen so far are those stray dogs roaming around because some dogs and perhaps cats too raid the trash for food. Beside the esplanade is a residential area, and I think these are their pets and guard dogs. Somehow, I hope the barangay council or the Local Government Unit could take care of it.
They have ornamental plants on display too, and my mom was a fan. I actually reminded her about no picking of anything, lol!
The weather was gloomy, waited for the sunset, but no show today unfortunately. We left the place at around 5.30pm already, wishing and hoping that I could take beautiful snaps of the golden hour, but none. When we started running by the road, raindrops started to fall, oh well.. it's bye bye time indeed.
We passed by to take-away barbeque or skewers for dinner because we don't have plans of cooking anymore. When we arrived home the rain poured so hard, thank God the outing went dry and fine.

Some Questions To Get By
Good evening everyone! How's the weekend? Nothing much for me, just chilling around. However, when the night came, I realized that I still need to write something, and I don't have anything in mind to make my fingers start typing, write and create one.
While reading around, ideas start to spark. Thank you @Jeaneth, her article about these random questions from the random word generator prompted me to get mine and start answering. https://randomwordgenerator.com/question.php
Let me start with this;
**1. If you were required to have a job of some type but you didn't need the money from it to survive, what job would you choose?**
When I was in college, my parents can only afford four big books required in the university for my course, thus I ended up photocopying some pages of books I don't have from the library. In such situation, I fancy people working with those photocopier machines, lol! So, perhaps if I don't need money, I can spare some time working as such. But, anyway, to be honest, even if I have lots of money, I should still be working with some business I love to put up, like a hospital. Wow! That's something really huge, but if I have money to make it real, so why not?!
**If you knew the winning lottery numbers, would you keep them to yourself or share with others?**
I think I have to share with a couple of friends I knew, of course I won't tell them that it's a sure hit! I don't want to cause chaos in the world, thus I have to be discreet too. Anyway, since I'm certain of winning, I could easily donate to good causes, and help people's needs, like those patients desperate for medical attention. As a worker in a healthcare setting, I have a soft spot for them. Sometimes, I offer *probono* to a neighbor that needs physiotherapy, how much more if I'll instantly win millions for myself, some people will certainly win with me.
**What's your opinion on tipping?**
To Insure Promptness (TIP) - this is fine with me. And, I'm sure everyone would agree. With the tipping system we got here in both read.cash and noise.cash, tips are blessings. Moreover, it inspires us to create good and authentic contents and articles. In real life, I would tip for good service, even randomly give extra to taxi drivers, vendors, parking watchers, etc., for me these are just random acts of kindness.
**If you had to wear a hat for the next week, what type of hat would you choose?**
The same old hat, haha! I don't have lots of hats anyway, actually I only have one ball cap that I've bought perhaps 10 years ago haha! It's my favorite yellow color, and that's the one you've seen on my profile picture. Nevertheless, I can be adventurous with hats, I got this native Filipino hat when I joined a photography contest for the city's Diyandi Festival some years back, bought it from a local seller down the street while the street dancing started and the sun hurts like crazy!
**If you could change one thing about your family, what would it be?**
The hardest question by far, ahmm I'm completely out of words. But, for the purpose of this challenge, I'll make a quick one. So far, I love how my family evolved through the years, we're all blessed to have each other still in harmony. However, I admit we have made bad choices too in life, perhaps four years backward would tweak some things in life for my family and recreate mine and my other brother for the better. But, no regrets though! As this verse kept reminding me:
"**All things work together for good** **to them that love God**, **to them who are the called according to his purpose." -Romans 8:28.**

Filipino Time
Today, I went to my aunt’s place, an hour ride from home by bus. My aunt had a neighbor there that needed Physiotherapy, so I’m off to check it out and quickly endorsed it to a PT near them. After the sumptuous lunch and chitchat, I hurriedly said goodbye because I still have a patient in the next municipality that was recently referred by our Physiatrist.
Anyways, that’s not the topic actually, let’s talk about some funny ways of Filipinos. I don’t know, I might be biased to generalize it on our race, so forgive me. But, somehow I’ve seen and experienced it with a lot of us, so this is just a mere observation, not all actually, because I for one isn’t like this haha! Defensive? Yes, I always try to come on time.
So, while I was seated in the bus, my sleepy head wanted to doze off to dreamland. My eyes were closed and my consciousness was about to wander into oblivion, however, I got interrupted by this middle-aged woman beside me, with a very loud voice on the phone. So ooopps, forgive me, I’m eavesdropping on their conversation with her husband. Am I? But, she wanted everyone on the bus to hear her, perhaps not eavesdropping after all!
Then, I just heard something silly that made me chuckle, she actually and seriously told her husband: *“Okay, hun, I’ll meet you there at eight o’clock sharp, and try not to be on time, will you?”*
LOL! She’s just being honest. As they say, Filipino time.
Of course, this is not something to be proud of, being late is not a good habit. But, how did Filipino time come to be considered tardiness?
I have read an article about the Intriguing History of Filipino Time, and realized that this bad habit has been notorious not only in the present time, but way back in history. Popular political leaders, even the famous books of Jose Rizal mentioned this ***mañana habit*** *-* Filipino time, a negative practice that has been persistent until now. https://filipiknow.net/origin-of-filipino-time/
Moreover, this habit patterned us in making excuses, or worse, lies. The most popular excuse actually for not coming on time is the traffic, lol! But, traffic is just horrible most of the time in the Philippines. True! But, we can always do something- leave home early, drop your car for gas refill in the evening and not before work, make a simple breakfast, or iron clothes and ready everything in the evening. So easy, right?
Last Thoughts
Filipino time, we should just laugh about it, and not apply it habitually in our lives. As some people say, we can always do something to improve ourselves, if not we can just sadly turn into making excuses all time. It’s just a matter of disciplining ourselves that something can be done. Just commit.

Wojak In Full Swing
Wojak came in the first week of December 2021 as the first FlexUSD rewards token. Of course, the project was really enticing, to get FlexUSD reward simply by holding the token is just great! Indeed, it gives a reward, little by little, I was able to accumulate 5+ FlexUSD in my wallet. Not bad.
Then the farm came in MistSwap - Wojak/WBCH with 300+% APR, that was my first to finally earn some mist - a token with good standing in the market. Everything went smoothly, I love the passive earning from this farm, until recently, Wojak lost the farm on MistSwap, perhaps due to the decreasing volume. Then, this week when all the tokens in the market went bearish, Wojak as well plummeted. I got anxious, but one thing for sure, no way of selling it at that moment.
Today, I’m glad to see Wojak in full swing. It reached its usual value in the market, perhaps because of the NFT project that was launched yesterday. The wacky Wojak face will be haunting everyone for sure, lol! Yes, his face can be scary and funny, but, what else can we expect from Wojak - a meme character and a YouTuber.
Wacky, funny, scary, and ugly, but Wojak has a big heart, today, he donated all-in-all a whopping 5BCH to #Club1BCH charity #SaveTheChildren, and the fundraising surpassed the Club’s goal for the charity event. This means more blessings and heaps of joy for these underprivileged children. Aww, that was really touching, I love kindness popping out from anywhere, resonating from people in all walks of life - like the wacky Wojak!
Anyway, I have my share of happiness today too from Wojak. There has been a plan by sir Smartoshi (the Wojak dev) to airdrop video NFT’s to Wojak holders with at least 100,000 units. The snapshot was taken a couple of weeks back, I guess. The launch must’ve delayed the drop, thus instead we got random Wojak NFT. Yay! So, happy to add this to my NFT collection. Wojak is crying here, but I'm smiling, lol!
Still, I'm planning to mint another Wojak NFT, when my Metamask will get its full swing too. Lately, I have been having problems with the browser. It seems that the new websites I try to access get errors, including Pandaland, and yesterday I noticed the Wojak page too. I still try to fix it, searching for answers on Google and somehow everything is vague, or I’m just so naive deciphering techy stuffs. Help! If I won’t get help, I might just uninstall Metamask and download again, though this can be a nerve-wracking retrieval of all tokens. I don’t know any other way anymore. Sigh. One thing for sure, I missed minting Pandas, oh well, not meant to be I think. Sad.
Anyway, there are still a lot of things to be grateful for today. A free Wojak, and imagining the smile of those children who will benefit the #SaveTheChildren charity is already heartwarming.

Gloomy Days In the Cryptoverse
Hello guys! Welcome to my vlog! Lol! Just kidding! But, those are my nephews intro whenever he is on camera, imagining himself with one of those popular vloggers/ Youtube celebrities, haha! I think I should prepare him for that, it seems there are no gloomy days earning from Youtube, eh? Nah, I don’t have those skills either, so let’s stick with my day job, still gloomy with this Covid scare everywhere. Sigh.
Anyway, my heart and eyes bleed watching the bloody cryptomarket, especially with Bitcoin Cash diving deeper almost at $260. Oh my, I hope it recovers soon, because all tokens in SmartBCH are downtrending as well.
Pandaland has been making some noise, and a great new project to support because of its gameplay plan in the future, mind you this is not financial advice whatsoever, please DYOR. The minting phase started already and was a bit pricey at 0.1 BCH per panda NFT, affordable actually, but this amount is something I can’t afford to lose if the odds go south, so yes, I’m still contemplating, if only I have lots of BCH maybe I’ll dive in too effortlessly.
My mind is a battlefield right now, it must be bloody as well. I badly want to push through the minting of at least three pandas, and the only way to do it is to spend the BCH I’m holding in coins.ph and transfer to sBCH. Oh my, I really don’t want to do another transfer. But, all the tokens and NFTs I’m holding in SmartBCH aren't cooperating - the market is so low to swap recklessly, and Oasis.cash is slow as well that I can’t view any of my NFTs I wanted to sell.
When I have finally decided to transfer, coins.ph is under maintenance! What a day? Is there a jinx here somewhere?
The WBCH/Wojak farm on MistSwap Dex ended too, really a bad news for me as well. I don't like unstaking, I love earning from my farms, but what can I do. I hope sir Smartoshi can do something really soon.
Moreover, the USDT I'm holding in Bityard plummeted as well, really a sad sight to be checking everyday. The only silver lining I got is the giveaway from Bityard's New Year's Event, I won $50 but locked for leverage trading though and I still have to learn how to do it. So, perhaps that will stay for a week or so before I could figure out how.
Sigh. What a gloomy cryptoverse?! I can’t seem to do anything other than to write something and vent out.
Maybe a cup of tea would suffice the kind of luck that I’m having tonight.
Actually, we will go mountain climbing this weekend in Bukidnon, if the weather cooperates because there's a news of a storm coming in the Philippines again. I hope it will evaporate in the Pacific before Friday, because the climb is the only happy thought in my mind right now. Fingers crossed.
So sorry for amplifying the bad vibes, guys! I know you've been feeling the gloomy and bloody crypto market for days now, just expressing my thoughts. Bear with me.

Tactlessly Right or Wrong?
T-shirts with silly messages on them have become enormously popular. This afternoon, in our stroll in the mall with my sister, I find this print on the shirt of a woman perhaps in her forties - I'M PREGNANT!
My sister laughed and said that perhaps she should be wearing a shirt like that when she moved back to Manila for work, just to avoid friends from asking her why she gained weight and her baby fats don’t seem to disappear, lol! Yah, right! I think that would really save time and effort explaining over and over again what happened to her during the employment break.
For all we know, some people are just so keen and fond of body shaming.
Now, I remembered a friend who had this post on her Facebook- **"The Meanest Thing I Have Ever Said To A Woman"** - in that post she told her friend if her daughter will be a big sister soon, and her friend replied "No, I’m not pregnant,” while looking at her belly, explaining why she gained weight and looked that way.
Oh well! People can be so tactless sometimes. How often do we comment on someone about being so skinny, or so fat, disproportionate, ugly, haggard, messed up, so vain and obsessed, and etc.
Some can be so enormously rude, I can remember when I was graduating from high school, my mom and I bumped into someone she knew during the graduation ceremony, and that woman commented that I’m so skinny and that my mom should have me checked by a doctor. I can no longer remember how my mom responded, but I’m sure about how I felt.
Indeed, remarks like that can be so depressing. I felt ashamed and anxious, and have been asking myself why? Am I abnormal at my age?
Though my mom reassured me that I should just ignore it, and somehow my innocent mind can brush it aside. But, at the back of my mind, it consumes my self- esteem.
Fast forward, after passing the board exam, and finally bid farewell to those never ending sleepless study nights, reviews and reading day in and day out. I made a goal to gain weight and to look fit. Indeed, I achieved that in some months of eating, and more eating haha! Just kidding. Guess I gained weight by eating right, sleeping enough and exercising regularly.
Anyhow, I don’t know why some love body shaming. Though, we can use it as a driving force to correct and improve ourselves, but, I think it’s not appropriate to be so insensitive with our words. Some people, especially kids and teenagers might take it differently and might cost someone else's life.
Tactlessly, right or wrong. Any word we utter can make or break a person. It totally depends on the one receiving it, however, to avoid hurting anyone we can at least tailor our words with grace… and with love.

Something From The Gallery
Ciao Mi Amore! Haha! Hello everyone!
Just something popping out from the prompts about "photos from your phone gallery" by @meitanteikudo. I'm joining the bandwagon, why not? This is fun!
Anyway, while scribbling the photos in my gallery, I stumbled upon this photo of Tokyo from the Money Heist series when she was about to die saying " you got to live a lot of lives" to Rio, that part of the series was captivating that I wanted to write something about it, but as always lost the inspiration to continue, so the photo just got stocked in the gallery instead. So, while writing, I was singing and humming that famous Bella Ciao line that this film popularized. However, I don't want to start with Bella Ciao, thus let me use Ciao Mi Amore, instead, lol!

I took this today while traveling and hopping from one patient to the next, posted this noise too today because I always love to post photos about the sky, landscapes, nature, and etc. So, the sky is back beautifully in blue today, after a week of gloomy/ grayish skies and cold weather. I love it, but I hate the hot and humid atmosphere, because it's just so tiring to be outdoors, and traveling.

Yes! This is the most delicious, haha! My food photography skills aren't really good, so I don't want to showcase those food images on my gallery. But, I love fruits and for me the most delicious in my gallery. This was taken during New Year's Eve, it has been a tradition of most Filipinos to collect fruits during New Year, thus we have this. Many collect round fruits, but we wanted to be practical so we have banana too, lol! Not the customary, but we love eating it so again, why not?

Just me trying Still Life Photography in this photo. I used to like this genre, and would try to take some composition and snaps of anything when I get a chance. The story of this was shared in noise.cash, all about the "Honesty Pantry" where a colleague of mine stores and sells fruits, soda, cookies, chips and stuffs in our little pantry in the department, we list down honestly what we bought and pay her when we see her around. Cool, right?

I love the leaves and the branches of this tree. It's a small tree actually that spreads broad and wide, like a shelter that protects me from the rays of the sun when it's already up during my morning walk.
Just a random photo taken during my morning walk. I used to do photowalk before with my camera, now, I still love to take photos, but with my phone instead when I get a chance outdoors. Anything lovely and beautiful for my virtual friends here and there.
This pompom flower is so lovely as well. I actually don't know the name, but my friend Gertu here commented on my article one time that it's a pompom, looks like it indeed!

May, last year, after our Labor Day Adventure in an underwater cave and river, my phone's camera got broken and was later on fixed. Perhaps this was the first random shot I made while doing an errand and excited to use a functioning camera. Interestingly, I like the caption on this man's shirt **"BCH GOES GREEN"** as written. Oh! How I wish Bitcoin Cash would go up and higher! Waiting for the day when BCH would reach another ATH of $1,000 hopefully soon. And, everyone would be celebrating for sure.

Upbringing and Responsibilities
The point at which your child becomes an adult and soon a married man is a miraculous thing for most mothers. But for my Math Teacher in secondary school, his son’s marriage a couple of years ago also means freedom for her – from ironing and laundry, LOL!
Actually, not for my mom, before we stepped into the College/ University years, laundry, ironing and cleaning of our rooms were no longer responsibilities of my mother as a housewife. I and my siblings were trained to do chores and cleaning of our personal stuff and space. Well, I think we should get this kind of upbringing to learn and acknowledge responsibilities early on.
However, not a case for some families. Usually, couples with only one child tends to give less responsibilities and more freedom to their child. Some children in families like this lives comfortably indeed, but would have difficulty living independently later on in life.
Anyway, going back to my Math Teacher I've met this afternoon, we had a short chit-chat about her son who was my classmate too before. I was teasing her that she and her husband was like back in the honeymooning stage again since her “unico hijo” now lives far away from them.
I asked her if she had made the long trip to Manila to pay a visit to the couple. She told me “No, it's hard to travel during pandemic." So true.

Grandmothers are so fond of their grandchildren. A lot of people can say that grandparents love their grandchildren more than their own son and daughter, lol!
Indeed, from experience, looking at my parents being grandparents now, I can say that they really have that soft spot for the little ones. When I was a kid, both my mom and dad are so strict and disciplinarian over house chores and school stuffs. Nowadays, they would nag us if we scold the kids. My mom would get angry at my sister if she hears her shouting at the child about modules and class projects. When in fact before when we're still in school my mom would scold us if we were caught slacking with school related stuffs.
Well, despite of that, **grandmothers are great teachers for first time moms, must be one of the appreciated reason why grandmothers are more welcome than mothers-in-law.**
Granny knows a lot about how to take care of the baby - during infancy and in those sleepless nights when the mommy and daddy can no longer understand why in the world their little one won't stop crying. Granny also knows those "out of this world" life hacks to make living a bit easier in a home.
**Last Thoughts:**
Upbringing and responsibilities is indeed crucial, most children mature with this kind of training in the home. But, parents or grandparents can only teach us the tip of the iceberg.
Life and experience is by far the best teacher, because sometimes maturity and acknowledging responsibilities in life comes when life throws us lemons, and we have no choice but to step up and transform as a much better version of ourselves.

Fraudsters On The Loose
“Praise of liar, pleasure of a madman.” - Romanian Proverb
I’ve read this quote from the noise of @Jnavedan, and it holds some truth. Fraudsters often get an addiction over stealing and scamming because of the challenge getting away and the pleasure of having the money.
I have seen a couple of movies on Netflix about thieves, the films like the Red Notice and Army of Thieves, are all compelling stories. I admit, I like both movies, but what a sad lesson this evokes to immature audiences, like those kids and teens watching a story like these.
The lead roles in both movies took pleasure in stealing, it seems fulfilling for them to commit a crime. And, for viewers like me and you, subconsciously, we are rooting for the criminals, the bad and the madman. I felt guilt as I reflected again, why on earth are we patronizing stories/ movies like these? Incessantly, both films are “most liked” on Netflix!
In reality, the scammers love what they’re doing too, thus until now they’re still on the loose. Yesterday, I was so busy following giveaways on Twitter. Mind you, for a couple of months now this has become a hobby for me. And, my fair share of winnings gave me a glimpse about how a credible giveaway works.
Then, a fraudster showed up. I was not announced as the winner, but I got a message in my inbox asking me for my ethereum address. Fishy, right? But, I got elated, and gave her my eth address right away. She replied with instructions to verify my address, to open this link, and to do this and that. I did not reply, and got busy with work - a good disguise to see how persistent this scammer could be. Indeed, she messaged me again if I got the instruction. This time, I am positive that this is a scam. I checked her previous tweets and some comments from other users, and found out that she’s another fraudster on the loose.

Anyway, to avoid scams, be cautious about people who become so persistent about you. Legit crypto giveaways only ask for your wallet address, or UID for giveaways from exchanges like Bityard.
Last November 2021, I won this giveaway from Clucoin and got the money as easy as 1-2-3. First, the winners were tagged on a tweet. Then, I messaged them my Clucoin address and they replied to wait for a week. That easy! Thus, one can be suspicious when people give you lengthy instructions on how to claim a prize!
Another recent scenario, a friend of mine got scammed too. Unfortunately, she fell into the trap and lost $100. It all happened when she got so busy from work, and could no longer think straight. She got a call from someone pretending to be from the Philippine Customs, instructing her to send $100 as payment for her sister’s package from overseas. Though she was somewhat skeptical, the fact that she has a sister from Canada sending her parcels sometimes, persuaded her to send the money to someone she didn’t know. Oh wow! That’s fast cash for that fraudster on the loose!
**Takeaway Message:**
Fraud is everywhere. Be cautious and vigilant about the schemes of scammers and thieves who only cares about your money. Online scams became so popular nowadays, like email/ online banking phishing, online shopping scams, fake online lending and lottery scams. SMS spoofing are still persistent, like what happened to my friend. People we call friends and relatives, can be so fishy too sometimes.
I know we try not to be so judgemental and pessimistic, but it's hard to throw caution to the wind, so think twice, thrice, even multiple times.

January 12, yesterday, was my nephew’s birthday, the youngest grandchild of my mom and dad just turned 3! They had a small celebration just with some close family relatives and friends. My brother lives in Bukidnon, that’s a 6-hour drive from here, so we’re not able to attend the little kiddie party they had, but we celebrate with them through a video call, and of course our hearts and thoughts are with them.
With the recent surging case of Covid19 brought about by the recent Christmas and New Year Holidays, the planned kiddie pool party was moved to the house instead just to avoid unnecessary exposure from the unseen virus. I bet, the kids still enjoyed the games, the party favors and all, that would make their day for sure.
Today, from the Telegram group chat, I stumbled upon the chat of @nheng1118 about #Club1BCH first year anniversary, exactly today January 13. What a perfect timing for this article! So, let me greet my friends, all the members and the leaders of #Club1BCH - Happy anniversary! Cheers for more years of support for Bitcoin Cash, camaraderie and inspiring people around the world about BCH. Then, this coming Friday, January 14, is my parents' wedding anniversary, another normal day for them haha! Mind you, they usually don't celebrate this day, but when I discovered this special day some years back after my college graduation, I made it a point to buy or cook something for us to celebrate it. Nothing grand actually, because on the 16th, I know the family will be celebrating another January baby.
January 16, will be my dad’s birthday. We were planning a simple celebration for him just like last year because of the pandemic, maybe a family dinner, then a video call from the cute little kiddo’s will cheer him up. I asked him last night for some particular food to prepare, and as usual, he wanted his favorite macaroni salad. Yes, that's his all- time favorite, and I’m glad it’s easy to prepare. Less stress for me in the kitchen.
Then, a week after, is my grandma's death anniversary. Seriously, January is all about remembering those special days from all special people.
Whatever day, let's celebrate life with joy and thanksgiving!

Funny Pet Peeves
Monday morning, another typical day at work, and of course my chatter friend and colleague was all up to give everyone a boost to shoo the Monday blues away.
Our topic? About those cute, funny and sometimes annoying pets in the house.
Honestly, the last time we had a pet dog in the house was eleven years ago. My dad adopted one Shih Tzu dog given by his friend who migrated to Canada. Certainly, owning a dog entails responsibilities like a new child in the family. When the dog gets sick, my parents have to spend thousands for the treatment, it can be really expensive. But, we have lots of fond memories with Trisha- our cute Shih Tzu dog. One time when she got sick, we brought her to a veterinarian clinic in the city. While the secretary collects the all needed information about our pet dog, we caught ourselves dumbfounded when the secretary asked my dad, *“What’s the family name of Trisha?”* And my dad chuckled, paused and replied our family name. As we went home, we all laughed while my dad and I told everyone that Trisha is carrying our surname too. Well, that was our first time to check-in a pet for a doctor’s appointment and we’re completely clueless that our pets can have our surname as well, lol!
Back to the chit chat at work.
This also reminded me of this funny story when I was assigned as Clinical Coordinator in Manila before. My cousin and I rented a small apartment with some friendly neighbors around. We don’t have any pets, but some of our neighbors have.
One time, a mom in the neighborhood, Lucy, offered to take care of a friend’s dog for a couple of days. The dog, a large mixed breed named Al, couldn’t adjust his size on a small front yard of the apartment. He was very irritable, barking most of the time, and tried to escape each time the gate was opened.
Visiting Lucy the next day, I found the dog tied firmly to a concrete post in the front yard.
*“What’s with Al?”* I asked.
Lucy gave me a weary look. *“That dog,”* she said, *“ruined my reputation last night, about nine o’clock; he got away and ran off to the street and to the park. I went after him shouting ‘Al, Al, come back!”* She sighed.
*“Everybody knows that my husband’s name is Pat,”* she continued and smiled, *“and that he works the night shift!”*
We were laughing over her experience with the dog. Some nosy people nearby might have thought that she was chasing a boyfriend that night, lol!
Our chitchat ended with an elderly patient coming in for Physical Therapy from a post operative right hip due to fracture. We asked her what causes the accident, and she replied that she fell down while trying to separate two of her dogs fighting. OMG!
That would be it for now, just something funny and really annoying experiences with our dogs around.

I'm All Mixed Up In SmartBCH
Hello everyone! I miss y'all! I've been missing in action here in read.cash for some days because life happens.
The first week of 2022 has been toxic for me at work, thus most of the days I come home so tired that I doze off too early. I just can't help myself to sleep desperately after a day's work, when I got a couple of referrals from another hospital that needs daily treatment, but today both just got discharged so hopefully I can have some energy left to continue my usual pace of posting here.
Anyway, that's not the topic today, so let's proceed with my smartBCH adventure.
It has been a fruitful start of the year, I have noticed a few bullish earnings with the tokens I invested in the farms. Perhaps both have been performing really well in the market. Mind you, this is not financial advice, just based on experience.
**Daiquiri Token and Tropical Finance**
I bought some Daiquiri during the presale of Tropical Finance, thanks to @fantagira for initiating the purchase. I remember I was sick during the presale that was brought about by the Covid19 booster shot I took that day. Right after the launch, mid of December, I staked the tokens in the pool to earn more Daiquiri. And, unexpectedly, just a few days ago, I earned 138 daiquiri in more or less 20 days! When I tried to swap it to BCH, it already exceeded the amount I invested! Wow! I hope bought more tokens during presale though.
**Tango and TangoSwap**
I failed to buy this token during its launch, because I really don’t have money to buy, lol! But, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise, because when it dipped at .18 I was able to buy it, however now it never goes up to that price, sigh. Lol! All good still, because APR on the farm was still good. Today, after a month of farming, I harvested the exact amount of token I invested from last month, while I still have that same value staked on the farm. Awesome, right?
I added a new farm Candyman-WBCH pair in Tangoswap hopefully to accumulate more Tango when it bounces back to .18 or .20 soon. I will definitely have my happy dance here, lol!
However, I’m all over the place in SmartBCH. This means from those great and awesome surprises, I have my fair share of disappointing investments.
**1BCH and rBCH**
I’m still hodling, farming, staking, and waiting for this token to reach its presale price at least, because I’m behindhand my investment. I hope the price recovers soon, hoping and wishing and waiting, hehe!
**Milk**
Milk price is not recovering too, and I’m lost! I’m just keeping the farm up to hopefully harvest some milk to hold and hope and wait. As well.
**Super, GPS and BabyLaw**
Again, I’m all over the place, confused, perplexed and whatever! What happened to me while buying these tokens? If my memory serves me right, I think these 3 started at the same time, and all have this concept of token reward… and all dipped deeper in the market as well for some days now. Another, to add in the list to hold, hope and wait.. Long sighs. Though I got some reward already - Shiba from GPS, a little BPAD from Super, zero LAW from BabyLaw, lol! but I'm not certain at all! When I checked Shiba token, I'm confused if it was the ShibaBCH from marketcap.Cash because the reward token has a much lesser value. Guess, I'm all mixed up, really! Another long sigh.
**Airdrops**
I got airdrops from new tokens EVE, FRN, and SUN. I hope these would appear with liquidity soon in some dexes, so I could make a good use of it.
There will be a FRN token airdrop for MIST holders next week and snapshot will be on 01/09 6AM UTC. There is still time as of this posting, if you want to participate, quickly check TG Group @Friend (FRN) and make sure of the timing as well.
Anyway, my busy and tiring days in the real world for the past few days made me miss the minting of the Thrones’ Queen last night. I was tracking the time in their TG, and set my alarm as well, but I think I was so dead tired and asleep. When I woke up, all the queens were minted hahah! Swept out like a whirlwind in minutes, swoosshh! Now, I'm keeping my eyes peeled for those queens for auction in oasis.cash.

Celebrate Life
The Christmas weekend a few weeks ago was well spent with all four kids, and watching a movie has been a good refuge for the adults in the house to somehow take a break from the chaos, lol! So, one afternoon it seems no one wanted to take a nap, thus I have decided to let them watch an animated film to settle down. Guess, it made me settle down too, cause this movie is incredibly awesome.
We watched this old animated film, way back 2008, and based on the book of the famous Dr. Seuss, “Horton Hears A Who!” I love how the storyline unfolds and the lesson it gives to children. Certainly, this movie is not only funny and entertaining, the morals will inspire us to value life and celebrate it.
The story is all about this elephant, Horton, that discovers life and a community of strange living things inside a speck of dust sitting on top of a flower. However, unfortunately, amongst all animals in the forest, only Horton can hear the voice of the mayor of the Who-ville town and everyone that lives inside that certain dust particle. For this reason, the young elephant became secluded from the rest of the animals in the forest, and it came to the point that some animals plotted a unanimous call to imprison Horton in order to destroy that certain speck of dust the poor elephant had been conversing with, and eventually formed a bond with those peculiar things.
I particularly love the character of Jojo for he saves the day, but I have to leave the rest of his character for you to explore, haha!
Anyway, though it sounds insane - a talking elephant and a strange life/ community- the Who-ville inside a dust, but still it amazingly portrays a lesson about life. It shows that we should learn to take care of each other - no matter how small this person or community can be, we should exist in harmony with them. Moreover, it is better to live with empathy and kindness not only to people significant to us, but also to the less fortunate, to our pets/animals, plants and to this only planet we share to live with. Yes, even to mother Earth, for without it we are all insignificant and incapable of living.
Currently, with the catastrophic event the Philippines have gone through, other people also went high and low to help the victims and the homeless brought by the Typhoon Odette. It displays humanity and hope that indeed, there are lots of Horton amongst us, not from the size of his body but from his great pure heart. Cheers! We never lost humanity at this very age.

Happy New Year!!!
Time flies!
The new year is here already, and what can I say? Ready or not, let’s dive in for the new year and say goodbye to 2021.
Yesterday, we had our annual family get- together with my mom’s side relatives in another town, an hour away from home. We travelled in the morning, I packed some food leftovers from New Year’s eve, while my mom requested to drop by at Shakey’s to buy pizza, and I was surprised that she bought the 18”! Wow! Actually, it’s my first time seeing my mom buying something extra big, lol! Usually, she only buys enough, enough slices to cover everyone. Anyway, we enjoyed eating the foods and catching up with our relatives. Last year, we didn’t have this gathering because of the pandemic, so we really had a blast this time of the year. Thank God for the chance to celebrate again with them, it is always a bliss to share memories.
Then we had a gift giving, and my mom acted Santa haha! Usually, I wrapped presents for the kids, but mom this time brought some shirts, and those comfy jogger pants from her little store to give away for her sister, her nephews and nieces, and their kids. Seriously, she’s so generous this new year, I asked why and she said she’s sharing the blessings. What a cheerful giver! Lablab motherdearie..
We headed home by dusk and dropped by in Kauswagan, Lanao del Norte. The municipal park is so captivating with its colorful lanterns and Christmas symbols. We stayed for like 10 minutes to take some photos, of course still wearing our masks. When we left, I saw cars stopping and people coming, the crowd increased and I’m so glad we arrived early and left the place timely to avoid contact with more people. At this time, we still need to be extra careful while trying to live our lives normally as we could.
At home, I was greeted by a Twitter message from the new @ThronesBCH, telling me that the cute CashCat NFT was sent to my wallet. Mind you, this was my first time to own one and I am completely clueless how to check it in Metamask. With the help of @fantagira in the Club1BCH TG I was able to see it in Oasis.cash. Yay! Look! It's really cute!
I wanted to write an article last night, after going through my mail and messages, but I'm just so dead tired. I couldn't even make one in noise, to comply with my task of making at least one noise a day. So, Yes. Today would be the most perfect time, but I just sleep again, lol! And, rushed to make one noise early this evening and an article too. Gosh!
This afternoon, going through Twitter, I bumped into this post from @SatoshiAngels new holiday giveaway you can check here. Read it in case you want to participate. As I said before, one of my goal for 2022 is to start exploring NFT’s and I thought this must be a great way to start. Oh! I would love to buy one human punk NFT but just so pricy! I guess, this pixilated cattos would be good for me for now. Of course, the cat is really cute that perhaps I'll just have to keep, haha!

My 2021 Highlights
Hello.
A very transparent hello. I intentionally use the “period” after my greeting for y’all because I really don’t feel ecstatic today. I am exhausted from the entire day of work, and after duty I have to stop by grocery shopping with my sister for New Year’s Eve. The queue in the grocery was unbelievable! And, if not for my sister I think I would collapse. While I pick the stuffs we need, I let my sister stand in line in the cashier to save time. Still, everything today drains my energy.
Anyway, I don’t want to miss my plan of posting this for read.cash before the year ends, so let’s go!
But, before that, I need a little bit of boost for my brain cells… munching this chocolate I got as a gift from my patient today. Yum! Okay, now I got 10% of energy to finish this article, lol! 🔋
I have been blogging for more than a year here, September 13, 2020 to be exact, it wasn’t a continuous journey though. I’ve been missing for almost 4 months when I have to straighten my priorities in life. That time I reviewed for the IELTS test, and passed after 4 months of review last March of 2021. Almost two weeks of jail time, lol! In this article I share my experience of paranoia from this unseen deadly virus I got in contact with a patient. Thankfully, the swab test shows a negative test. One of the happiest days in my life to finally be free and working again. However, one thing I loved about quarantine was the chance to write everyday, hahah! And, the luxury of time to exercise, read more, and sleep a lot! Lol!

There is so much to learn and I realized that indeed if we open our minds and dedicate some time studying something new, opportunities will open up for us in a lot of ways.

On A Rush To Care
Monday early morning, commuters and drivers from all walks of life are on the busy city highways rushing for work, errands, deliveries, night out hangovers and etcetera.
Everyone is in a rush to be bothered by an accident victim in the busiest intersection of the city during a morning rush hour, four days before Christmas. Even worse, some commuters got angry at the two men who did stop to offer assistance to the helpless victims.
One truck driver stopped and stood guard over the critically injured victim - ejected from a truck whose driver lost control and crashed. Ironically, the good samaritan who offered help had an empty battery cellphone and was unable to call an ambulance or the police, thus he had to wave at motorists for a few more minutes, hoping to get someone who can call 911. Finally, a Food Delivery guy stopped and used his cellphone to call for emergency help or police assistance. Both men then stayed until the paramedics and the police arrived.
I was able to talk to the food delivery guy yesterday while he transports some orders to the hospital for the family of the victim. At that time I was about to treat the patient, but the doctor deferred the treatment, thus I ended up joining a conversation in the nurse's station with the delivery guy, thus hearing his part of the story.
The guy said he was prepared for the blood and anxiety the moment he stopped to help, but he wasn’t ready to be chastised by motorists. Some people on the road honked, yelled and even used obscene hand gestures, pointing toward the victim, one man screamed, *“Why don’t you take that crap off the side of the road?!”*
Surprisingly, this part of the story moved me. Are we still humans to be using such words on a seriously dying man? Come on, are we going to put appointments and memos above someone’s life?
I’m ashamed for this food delivery guy who cares to stop knowing that he has deliveries to accomplish on that time of day, but never complained and still cares to offer help until the authorities came.
Seriously, drivers who honked and yelled unreasonable annoyance should plan to live somewhere else, on any planet where they can inhabit and peacefully live alone, and care less of other people’s feelings and dealings.
This got me thinking yesterday on my way home from work and thought that maybe I should just vent it out here.
As for the victim, he was out of life-threatening and critical condition. He is now in the Orthopedic Ward recovering from serious leg fractures, he might be able to walk again or maybe drive too after a series of medications and Physical Therapy. I am just hoping that his company will pay everything because healthcare in the Philippines is unfortunately “crappy” - better to use this word here than to someone dying, eh?
**My last thoughts:**
I admit, it can be annoying to get caught in an unexpected heavy traffic, especially when I'm late for work or an appointment, but I can never be so heartless to act like that. Perhaps it would be better to offer a quick prayer for this wounded man, for help to come in a jiffy, and eventually fix the traffic. This would be a sane way of handling things.

This was the Christmas Gift Card GIF that I made for @bmjc98 Christmas giveaway.
I’ve been away for a very loooonnngg time, life and the Christmas holiday weekend made my hands full. I missed everyone here and my usual routine, but had to set my priorities straight while my brother’s family were here celebrating with us.
For some days I’ve been the babysitter, the cook, the travel guide and the secret Santa for my nephews and niece. As soon as they arrived in the house, they were so excited to spot their gifts under the Christmas tree. They arrived on the 22nd of December and since then I have been constantly telling them not to open yet and wait for Christmas eve.
On the 23rd, my sister and I took the kids to the mall and played for an hour with other children in Kids Paradise - a famous playhouse in Robinson’s Place Iligan. All four of them really got exhausted playing, lol! It was their first time to set foot in the mall once again, so you really can’t imagine their excitement. They wanted to have some ice cream afterwards, but the place was jam packed with people, so I bought instead a liter of ice cream in 7/11 convenience store for them to eat at home.
I’ve been tied up in the kitchen the day before Christmas preparing for Noche Buena - it’s a traditional Filipino Christmas Eve Feast. I don’t cook much because I’m not really a good cook, lol! So, the menu was all about what I know best, haha! I got a tray of baked spaghetti, macaroni salad, and sweet and sour fish. We ordered a lechon and a cake beforehand, and that’s it. We have a banquet for the family.
Christmas day was spent on the beach, and then this morning we went to the spring pool located nearby. The kids love the water, and it seems that the Christmas holiday weekend was all spent doing what they missed doing before the pandemic locked them in their homes. Thanks to the bitcoin cash I earned on both read.cash and noise.cash platforms because I was able to spoil the kids. Well, Christmas is really about giving, and for me I love setting up a festive mood for the children on this special day.
Anyway, I got my fair share of excitement too the entire time. Indeed, God really loves a cheerful giver, because I got giveaway gifts too in the cryptoverse! What a great year, and thanks to #Club1BCH for it opened insurmountable opportunities. Mind you, the cryptoverse is really huge, soooo huge to study in a year or so for me. I’m still on my toes for a lot of things. The people in the club inspired me to explore more, this year I started smartBCH tokens farming and staking. Hopefully, in the year 2022, I’ll be exploring NFT’s. Yay!
As a kick off for this goal, I won a Sakura NFT from @walker_heel, Duckbutt NFT from @jonezy.art NFT and @TIDBYTS.X, currently today an NFT from @Club1_bch and a punk from @CryptoWordsmith Oh! Anyway, back here in our humble abode, it's a silent night now thus I was able to write again.. My brother, his wife and the 3 musketeer nephews were traveling back to Bukidnon. Tomorrow morning will be a busy day for some cleaning here and there, then see a patient in the afternoon.

The Christmas Tamagochi Story
I can still recall growing up in a tough environment, when peer pressure dictated my behavior and even my clothes. I wanted so badly to be considered cool to my classmates and friends that I begged my parents to buy me an expensive keychain - the Tamagochi Pet, it’s an egg-shaped digital keychain that houses a virtual pet. We’re not a rich family, but being the eldest I was sent to this exclusive for girls private school in my elementary days, perhaps my parents only wanted the best for me. That school was thought to be the best maybe. Hence, my parents could only afford to pay the tuition fee and other important miscellaneous stuff. No more, no less. Thus, being a child, I also envy classmates who seemed to have all the excess in life. Having things that they wanted, unlike me that I could only get the things that I needed.
I was in Sixth grade when the Tamagochi Pet fever became a trend, and I so love checking on it. Both of my seatmates have one, during the “ber months” I guess, only four in the class owned one. This handheld toy inspired me to study diligently, thinking that my mom would buy me one with my good grades. But, none. Christmas came and I was pressuring my dad to buy me Tamagochi. I was thinking that perhaps everyone in the class will be playing one after the Holiday break.
One day, I got a phone call from my best friend that her mom will be going to Manila for a business trip and promised to buy her a Tamagochi. I got elated and told my dad if it’s possible for us to give the money to my friend's mom so she can buy mine too. My dad said yes, but apparently my mom didn’t, and I went hysterical for it. My stubborn self ran away from home.
We have two jeepneys that were for hire that time, and on that night before I left home, I snuck off into the driver’s pocket to rob her of the rent they would give to my parents for that day. With the money, got a good amount enough to hand to my friend’s mom for the Tamagochi.
I walked my way to the house of my best friend. When I arrived, I saw robbers wearing clown masks leaving the house, I got terrified and ran. However, it was too late, the robbers noticed my presence and chased me everywhere I went. I hid myself in a box piled with tomatoes and waited for the day to arrive. Unfortunately, the break of day didn’t come so soon. The criminals spotted me in my hiding, and I have to keep running again. I got tired and weary when my mom called and I woke up from that terrifying nightmare.
Oh! Thank God it was just a dream.
Since then I have never pressured my parents for that Tamagochi toy. Though my mom still insisted on making a deal with me, perhaps for the sake of learning my lesson.
She told me, "I'll give you all the money I make next week. You'll be incharge of the family finances - buying the groceries and paying the bills. Whatever you have left over you can spend on whatever you want."
I thought, that was really an awesome deal.
My mom goes with me to buy the groceries, and I was shocked to see how expensive the things that we normally needs at home. I was thinking that the New Year's Eve is just around the corner, and would love to pick more stuffs for our dinner table, but no. I can't spend more. And, then began going through the bills, of course I ran completely out of money long before everything was paid.
Then I realized my mother, she must be a financial genius - just to keep food on our table and decent clothes for all of us.
If I insisted with the Tamagochi pet, perhaps we would be living in darkness for a month - no power and electricity. I took a hard look at my behavior and wondered how could I be so selfish.
The holiday break was over. And, the Tamagochi has been still residing at the back of my mind, what if I'm the only one who don't have one?
Back in school after the holidays, nothing changed. Most of us don't have Tamagochi.
I realized that, perhaps none of us wanted to exchange our lives in a comfortable home with anything lucrative yet temporary. The experience made a lasting impact that made a big difference in my life

The Typhoon That Kept Us Missing
*Hello guys! I don’t know how to start, I’m just so happy today in the crypto realm! -*
This was my original intro before the internet and our mobile network went berserk for almost 18 hours today due to Typhoon Odette. I finished writing at around 1 AM Friday and also lost internet connectivity around that time before publishing. So, I guess I just have to revise this one, and will be sharing my happy day in the cryptoverse in the next article.
You must’ve heard the bad news of another typhoon bringing havoc in the Philippines, particularly in Northern Mindanao and Southern Visayas. Thursday, I’m blessed to have my day off, but somehow I’m sad for my colleagues and some friends who have worked that day. Though the rain and the wind wasn’t that heavy and extreme, it has been raining non stop for several hours thus flooding was persistent in the lowlands. My colleagues at work have to endure getting stuck in the city for hours while waiting for a ride to their respective homes in the afternoon, some parts of the city were flooded and public jeepneys were stuck too.
Last night, while writing this article, we had a blackout. Thankfully, we were reminded beforehand to get ready, so my powerbank was fully charged the other night. At least I was able to do something productive while the power was down. I am just hoping that the 4G connection won’t be affected so I could still do some online stuff. Oh, well, that doesn’t last long enough, perhaps when the typhoon made a landfall in Cebu City, our internet connection plummets as well. The mobile networks were gone too, it was like 18 hours of disconnection from the world, no internet, no calls, no text messages, and the landline phone isn’t working up until now.
This evening (Friday) the mobile network was slowly restored, though still so slow, so far we can receive calls now, and the internet as well.
When I opened my cousin’s group chat on Messenger, we were so shocked to know that some of my relative’s houses in Bohol were badly affected by the storm. The kitchen was destroyed when a tree fell off of the roof. My aunt’s house is already old, thus the roof was blown away by the wind. Unfortunately, we still can’t contact them until now. The story was just relayed by my cousin living in Manila when he still managed to call them before the mobile network was gone.
My heart cries for all the homeless families too in the province of Surigao, this was the first landfall of the typhoon as it entered the Philippines. Then, run all over Northern Mindanao and Southern Luzon thus, affecting a lot of provinces and cities, including Cagayan de Oro, Cebu City, Bohol and Southern Leyte. I’m still not certain about Bukidnon and here in Iligan City, news has been very limited because of the damage this typhoon brings. Our only access to the news right now was from my sister living in La Union.
I thank God that we’re okay here- my family, our home, and our little community were all spared from the wrath of this natural disaster by God’s grace.
May our good Lord bless the Philippines and rise strongly from this adversity. God bless us all.

North Pole Greetings to everyone!
Just a few nights back, I watched this movie “The Christmas Chronicles” with my nephew and niece, and the kids loved it. And, of course, I love it too. I’m a child at heart and I always like animated and children films. I still enjoy watching with the kids with popcorn and giggles. It’s not always bad to be child-like sometimes, in some given situations. It certainly eases the tension of adulting, lol!
Anyway, in the movie, I have realized that Santa Claus, Mrs. Santa and the Elves are using a different language, I don’t know what language, but it’s kinda strange. And since I’m so clueless about it, I would rather greet you using the North Pole Greetings - #%*+#^”<!*#! I hope you understand that, haha!
Okay, moving on. That’s not my topic for this article actually. I hope you’ve seen and read several articles from #Club1BCH contests and giveaways, this absolutely prompted me to at least level up my skills in editing photos, lol! Mind you, I am a fan of photography, but I’m lazy in editing those photos. The most that I could utilize editing is through lightroom - enhancing brightness, contrast, saturation, etcetera. Then, add my watermark. Plain and simple. However, I always admire photos manipulated and animated for artistic reasons. And, I would always want to learn. I have tried using Adobe Photoshop before though, but my success rate in honing that skill was a flop. So, never mind.
Speaking of these Christmas contests, a couple of them involve making cards and BCH logo. I have seen amazing works from the BCH community on Twitter and noise.cash already, and wow! Their works amazes me!
So, why not give it a try? Of course, if I have to participate, I need to learn and level up that hidden creative side of me, haha! As if! Yes, we can always learn everyday, why not?

How Are You?
***“Suddenly each day becomes precious, something to be hoarded like candy in a child’s pocket.”*** - Golden Days
I’ve seen this quote somewhere and it made me realize if the days were really precious for me, then why does the day just unfolds, fleetingly ordinary and mundane as I go to sleep. Mind you, I am sincerely thankful for every single day. The moment I woke up in the morning is a blessing to be grateful for, and the rest I have at night is something that I look forward to during my busy day.
Everyday is golden, and time is precious for each one of us. A lot of people are on their deathbed wanting to live the life that we have right now. It’s ironic how some people spoil the days they have at hand, and yet someone sick and dying is so eager to trade that kind of life for a day or more.
How are you?
This question is monotonous, overly used, casual, and must be so easy to answer - “I’m Fine.” Often, people don’t actually hear when you answer, some don't really care how I am or you are. Somehow the question is just used for convenience, and something to fill in the gaps of any moment. Do we really mean to listen to someone when we ask him/ her how he/she is doing?
My point is, if our days are precious and our life is noteworthy. How can someone offer deaf ears when I answer how I am?
How are you?
And, some of us would whine about life. The grumbler would complain about the heat and the humidity, or the coldness of the weather. The plowing that needs to be done. The laundry that piles up so quickly. And, the list adds on. You know, we are all so good at complaining.
On the other hand, there are people who slept last night, poor and rich, white and black, but never woke up. And those dead folks would give anything at all for another day with some quality time with the family, a couple minutes to enjoy the warmth of the day, or another five minutes to tend their garden.
Final Thoughts
Indeed, this question can make or break someone. Oftentimes, a person only needs someone to talk to and realize that life is okay and *“It’s Okay Not To Be Okay.”* And, that he/ she is not alone in this universe. We can simply be sincere in listening to what they have to say.
And, for grumblers and whiners like me and you. Watch yourself about complaining. If there is something you hate doing, then change it. If there is no way to change it, then change the way you think about it. Perhaps, our lives will change for the better.
Okay, that would be all for now. That’s just me talking to myself. A note to self, actually.

It's Getting Hot In Here
Hot evening, everyone!
It's been raining the entire day, again, and again. But, my head is burning and smartBCH as well.
I’m not running a fever but my headache is just persistent after I got the booster shot yesterday, I took pain meds at the moment and got some relief. Hopefully, it won’t bug me again until I climb to bed. Sigh.
I purposely took a day off today because I want to take some rest after the vaccination. I was able to sleep longer, then just snuggle in my bed in the afternoon while the rain continues to give that relaxing atmosphere. Oh! I so love the rain when I’m home.
Hot also reminded me of hot tea, coffee sounds really good, but I tried to avoid caffeine with my headache. So, hot tea with cream still sounds heaven, this was an obsession, I got in the Middle East.
Then, I was able to do some things online, lol! This is a rest for me, haha! Anyway, I didn't bombard myself with stress though, just a little, like an article here, I even missed making some noise, instead I tried to make some memes for Incinerate.cash $FIRE token Twitter giveaway. It’s my first time to make memes and join with the popular meme challenges on Twitter from the Bitcoin Cash community. So, wish me luck!
This was the first meme that I was able to edit from the GIFshop app. Then, I realized that most of the entries aren’t GIF images but just photos, so I scrapped it out and tried something else. Also, I find this tacky, what do you think?
Pixabay is to the rescue! This is my favorite depository of free to use images on the web. If you want to use some of their photos, be sure the photo has the Pixabay License of "free for commercial use" and "no attribution required". Fortunately, I got a couple of stunning photos and quickly edited them on my phone. Well this looks fierce and fun though, haha!
And, that makes this day hot despite the rain.

My SmartBCH Adventure- One Month and Counting
All my life I have gone into different sorts of adventure, chasing waterfalls here and there, mountain climbing, snorkeling once and unraveling the beauty of the giant clams in Samal Island, the longest was the adventure of culture and life in the Middle East.
Like all real life adventures, smartBCH is no less than exciting and a never tiring experience. It's a realm wherein I find myself getting lost and finding my way again, like any other adventure stories.
My Story
For the longest time, I have only known the farm literally as what my parents introduced to me. My father used to be so good at it is a farmer himself. However, in the smartBCH realm, farming is different, though I have encountered names similar to the farm in the real world, like celery, milk, spice, potato, and oh! How can I forget our adorable fat cat! In addition, we carry our stuff in a wagon. Pretty similar words, isn't it?! But, sigh. I still got lost in translation as I started my adventure in SmartBCH.
The adventure started last week of October this year. I read an article from @Jane about the launch of BCHPad. Though I wanted to dive in, installing the Metamask wallet and exploring smartBCH was just so new to me. Simple words like buy and sell, farm, stake and etcetera became jargon words juggling in my head. Thankfully, my persistence paved way to #Club1BCH through an article from @Eybyoung.
As they say "Birds of a feather, are birds." Just kidding! I mean..

Certainly, our brain really works awesomely when bombarded with all the needed and apt information. In the club, I have learned a lot about smartBCH, perhaps our brains work better with like-minded people. As for me, not perfect, not polished and no experience, but I know I’m on that right track.
The Bridge
The wagon.cash bridge was already working at that time when I started, with a very minimal fee, transferring BCH to smartBCH has been very fast and convenient. I started with .3 BCH and like all the first time moments, waiting for the money to arrive for some time can give us butterflies in the tummy. And, I admit I still get that same feeling every time I transfer money through those platforms up until now.
First Hurray
Right after the successful transfer of BCH to metamask, the first token I purchased was BPad and AxieBCH because at that time both coins were in a dip, and all I could afford buying. I still don’t know how to farm and stake at the moment, so I just hodl, when the price pumps after a week or so, I sold the AxieBCH and earned 20%. All good. After some more days, all other tokens in Marketcap.cash soared high including BPad, and this time, I got a really good profit. I sold some of the token and took my capital, some were invested in Muesliswap farm for some Milk, and still have some on hodl.
Farm/ Pool
Like I said, my first month adventure in smartBCH had a handful of first time moments. The first farm I staked my BPad/BCH pair is in Muesliswap and earn milk. After a day, seeing some Milk to harvest I got excited to click harvest right away, only to realize that the amount could’ve gone straight to the gas fees,lol! That’s life! I have to experience it to learn. Of course, now I’m not that impulsive clicking harvest anymore, though I keep track of the figures by writing it in my notebook, yah! Who cares, I'm from the old school, lol!
Airdrops
I consider myself lucky to have received something from the raffle giveaways and airdrops in my first month. I won $5 worth of BCH from the Rici Elon Twitter giveaway, 10,000 BWB token from the TG airdrop, just recently from Xolos with 1.25RMZ. And, a few 1BCH tokens, as some people say those were drops for BPad holders.
The First Pre-sale
Mind you, I dislike pre-sales, must be because when I first joined #Club1BCH and was still learning the whole thing, some of my colleagues in the club experienced rug pull from the Beach dex launch. So, yes, I thought patience is a virtue, I will wait to see the token in Marketcap. However, the success of the BPad launch outweighs the fear of any rug pull when 1BCH dex announced its pre-sale in BCHPad, and this was the first token pre-sale I participated in. The launch has been stormy considering the smartBCH ecosystem had some hiccups that time. Moreover, the APR dropped in the 1BCH dex farm too. I am hoping that this token will pump soon and yield amazing results in smartBCH. Just today I noticed that it has been listed in Marketcap, and the APR increased too. This must be a good sign! *fingers crossed*
Tango, xTango and Other Tokens
This dex and token made some great waves when launched because of the huge APR in the farm. If I had money that time, I could have bought and farmed too right in an instant. A few days after the launch, I noticed its dip and thought that perhaps I could wait till the price reaches 0.15USD, and it did! I bought some and started farming! I learned that the dip is like Black Friday Sale, and indeed it feels that way. I have bought few more tokens from the dip - I bought eben at .09USD and some Cats at .02. Anyone can be a shopaholic when the market dumps, that is if we have money to spend.
Last Thoughts
**“Don’t put all your eggs in one basket.”**
This phrase best applies in our journey in smartBCH. It is wise to diversify our investment with other tokens, and distribute resources to other dexes as well. Lately, a number of pairs from different tokens are added to the farms, an opportunity to diversify. So, right now I have bits and pieces of Cats, Eben, BWB, tokens from all five dexes - eben, muesliswap, mist, 1bch and tango. Not much, but every token earned is growth. One day, all this will compound, pushing me to greater heights.
**2 Golden Rules: DYOR and Invest what you can afford to lose.**
Indeed, we need that time to learn, read, and research about those projects. TG groups and Twitter are so far helpful resources to crowdsource information. Lastly, investing involves risk- think twice, inhale, exhale and buy what you can afford losing.
What an amazing first month and counting - adventures in smartBCH. Obviously, I'll be in sync from Day 1 to beyond!

November and SmartBCH
Hello! Hello! Awesome Read.ers! A late recap for this month, I could’ve published this the other day December 1, but I was about to finish writing Viva la Vida when I realized that December just started, lol! I’m out of timing again, I lost track of time unfortunately.
**What a busy November!**
As usual, both this platform and noise.cash is home. My time spent on these two platforms were like errands meant to be accomplished in a household full of like-minded people. Side hassles, as other people consider it, but never a hassle for me, or should I say, I just enjoy writing here and there and sharing bits and pieces of my mind, my life and photography.

Thank you to my new family in the cryptoverse. I was accepted to the club perhaps the first week of November, through @eybyoung. Thank you, sis! Learning since then has been rewarding, and that helped me take a dive at smartBCH. The opportunity is amazing! I still have to learn a lot, but the step I took this November is one great leap!
**SmartBCH**
I was so desperate about the BCHPad launch last week of October when I read the article of @Jane. Unfortunately, I can’t quickly pass the confusion about the whole new world of smartBCH and the metamask wallet so I missed it. However, when I joined the club, I saw in our TG chat that BPad dipped lower than the presale, I then tried the wagon.cash pathway of transferring funds to metamask, that was November 6 to be exact according to coins.ph. I then bought BPad at 0.005 USD, and sold half of the tokens when its value reaches ath at 0.017. Since then, BPad never drops 0.010. That was my first taste of victory, haha! Now, I want to keep buying tokens when it dips, but no more money to invest though, lol!
How can I forget November?! The month has been more than supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! Haha!

Viva La Vida
Lying in my bed, I can’t move a single muscle, jaded and burnt out. In these four walls, I see ***A Sky Full of Stars***, while my eyes shut closed. I can hear hollow cries in the background, someone must’ve slapped me in the rhythm of some gigantic ***Clocks.***
That was ten years ago, I was rushed to the hospital diagnosed with fibromyalgia and a psychiatrist told me that I was manic-depressive, put me on lithium, and left me with this ridiculous remark "I can ***Fix You.***" After that, some saw a change in my behavior, but for me I couldn’t tell. I took lithium for a year, and didn’t notice any difference. ***The Scientist***, a friend of a friend, disagreed with the original diagnosis.
It turned out that the remedy I needed was not in the pills, the best prescription I needed was the singer/ songwriter/ musician Chris of Coldplay. He was an inspiration at that very moment, my ***Viva La Vida.***
After my divorce was final couple of years back, my friends hated to see me aloof and ***Low***. Some of my friends working in the music industry approached music stars to ask for a date for me. One of them was Chris, he was in the midst of an acrimonious breakup with a famous solo singer when we met. For several years, he was a vegetarian, he has been influenced by his past relationship, but on our dates he started eating steaks. After my days of writing and his days of music practice and recording, eating out has been our ***Hymn For The Weekend***.
For my part, I was smitten. In Chris, I saw everything I desired: so charming as he sings any of his songs, his eyes spark stories, and while he plays the piano he transforms like a wind, making me ***Shiver***. My days with him were like days in the summertime, with sunflowers all around, warm, and ***Yellow***!
I have ***A Head Full of Dreams*** as the months unfold seeing Chris. There were days that our lives together simply lived just to hold on to each other, for me that was a bliss of ***Everyday Life***.
The months became a year, and we were still in a realm of ***Paradise***. We occasionally talked about getting married. Yes! Me, getting married again. Perhaps during the holidays and be ***Hypnotized*** by him among the ***Christmas Lights***.
Those lights are the stars I am staring at in my dream that night. The slaps in rhythm woke me up. Oh! Well! I’m in a dream!

Everything's Gonna Be Fine, Fine, Fine
While thinking about what to write today, my mind was just in a mess of what and what to write. My emotions crammed over the smartBCH atmosphere and some personal baggages. However, my ears glued over my mom’s rants on my dad’s. So, let me start connecting the dots, with Alanis Morisette song “Hand in My Pocket,” I was reminded of this song as I checked both my real life wallet and the virtual coins.ph.

**"I’m broke but I’m happy."**
Yes! I’m off in the mall this afternoon, what a great way to beat the Monday blues, lol! A patient cancelled her home PT in the afternoon, so I have decided to drop by the mall and tempt myself to shop. I couldn't resist and spent time buying some gifts for the kids. The other day, I bought slippers for my niece, so to make it fair for everyone, I have decided not to give any toys to any of them. Bought these shirts instead, everything was discounted so that console my pocket, lol! And I don’t know why I am attracted to yellow, but clearly I love that “Saranghae” printed shirt from Penshoppe, not mine actually but for my cousin's teeny. I still have to buy for the other kids.
**"I’m green but I’m wise."**
Green is something really optimistic and euphoric in the crypotoverse, so, it's wise to dive in. Nevertheless, for the last couple of days, the market has been bloody red, and an opportunity for anyone to buy, and of course, I can’t resist again. I transferred most of my sats from coins.ph to Metamask, and shopped some tokens on dip. Oh well, that’s investment, hopefully it would reach the moon and beyond. Today, I got the 1BCH token from the presale last week, my first time to buy from any presale, and my emotions have been upside down. Thankfully, it went fine and got some rBCH too, cool! Though, I felt bad for the 1BCH dex launch, so peculiar with the hiccups in the smartBCH ecosystem. My fingers are crossed for tomorrow, hopefully it will settle down. Haha! I want to pull that line from the song, because it’s so true! Talking about the healthcare system here in the Philippines, our salary is a knockoff. Today, our unit’s group chat in Messenger has been so busy discussing that the hospital won’t give the annual Christmas bonus, because business was scanty this year. True. But, awfully sad. Sobs**
**"I’m lost but I’m hopeful."**
I don’t know, my heart was a bit heavy the past week. I’m just feigning not to get affected because I don’t want my family to worry. Something wasn’t working fine, and as usual, my mind crams for answers, while at the back of my mind I know the answers were still probably uncertain. I’m clearly disappointed, but still hopeful… I just need God’s comfort for now, everything will be fine in His time.
Lastly, the chorus of the song sounds fitting to end this article.

Holiday Plans
28 days before Christmas!
Oh! Wow! Time flies, the last time I checked, we still have 65 days before Christmas, now, less than a month!
So, every Christmas I always have gifts for my niece and nephews, mom and dad, and awkwardly funny giveaways for my siblings, anything cheap that would crack up some humor as we open presents on Christmas day. I’m not Santa Claus, and surely not yet a millionaire. LOL! Yah, not yet, who knows someday I’ll be a millionaire through crypto. It’s free to dream, just let me be, haha! Anyway, the most important aspect in gift giving is thoughtfulness and more cheers!
Last year, the holidays were a bit off due to heightened restrictions in traveling due to Covid19 pandemic. My brother’s family was not able to come for Christmas, and we were not able to spend the New Year in my grandmother’s place in the province. Praise God, it seems the world was able to move on a bit from health related turmoil because stringent measures have been lowered, traveling is now allowed, and the kids are no longer prohibited outdoors too. Guess, we will be spending our usual family tradition during the upcoming holidays.
Since my brother’s family will be coming home with his 3 little musketeers, the house will be jam packed for sure. My mom has been busy sorting stuff at home for a couple of days now, and tonight she finally told me of her plea. She asked me to buy affordable blankets, a bedsheet, and pillows because the ones we have will soon give up, lol! We rarely buy things like these, though I am fond of pillowcases, but yes I realized the pillows we have for our guests are no longer fluffy, it's the same old smelly pillows my 14 year old nephew used during his bed wetting days- imagine, haha!
My brother’s family will all stay in my sister's room, and my sister will move into my bedroom those days. So, now, I really need to clean my room and get rid of some clutter, to free some space. Oh well, I think I need a day off from work for this!
Then, the Christmas party. Fortunately, the hospital I worked with announced that there will be no company Christmas party yet this year. Thank God! Because I don’t like going to their thematic parties, it takes time and effort on what to wear, then there are departmental presentations that I also hate because having both left feet means I am simply uncoordinated. However, our department will be having one on December 11, oh no! Why so soon? And, I am in-charge of the games and also helping with the food, guess this would make me busy too.
That would be it!
P.S. I want to go somewhere too before the year ends, I'm desperate for a break. Sigh. Perhaps this could wait for next year. Yes, maybe early next year. No, surely early next year, lol!

And, what would you do when you discovered that your partner is a psycho few years after marriage?
This movie “Gone Girl” reminded me of the song “Sweet But Psycho,” but I would go for my title “Hot But Psycho,” because literally the girl in the movie is so charming and desirable for most men.
She’s a writer and her books are bestsellers. She is prominent, confident, smart, beautiful, wealthy and adored by many. However, she’s not perfect, she’s a psycho.
I know, psycho is a strong mean word to describe anyone, but to do crazy things and to the extent of killing someone is just insane, right?
Amy Dunne, the wife, started to display weirdness in her behavior when she discovered that her husband Nick cheated on her, with a young girl and his student. Amy got anxious about it and reckoned that maybe they just needed a baby to fix their marriage. However, that reckoning came late, Nick slammed the idea and for the first time hit her. That moment on, Amy’s mind got twisted.
The fact that she was physically attacked by her husband prompted her to buy a gun to protect herself. Not only that, she even orchestrated a plan to fake her death, put the blame on the husband, and eventually dump him for a lifetime of imprisonment.
The Plan. Amy raised her life insurance, and asked her husband to do the paperwork. She made unnecessary spendings on Nick’s credit card for outrageously expensive stuff, kept a fake diary that she half burned it in a microwave of Nick’s father’s abandoned house. She befriends a neighbor to vent off her miserable life, and package herself as a pregnant woman with a legal medical record brought about by stealing a pregnant friend’s urine. On the day of the (fake) crime, she meticulously staged a crime scene, hurt herself and pooled blood in the kitchen, cleaned it off and escaped with a getaway car.
The plan was almost perfect and flawless.
However, the setbacks of Amy’s plan started when she befriended a crooked girl and neighbor, in the new house she rented. When the girl and her boyfriend sensed that Amy had been keeping a lot of cash in the house, the crooks robbed Amy penniless. Amy can’t report it to the police with a dead/ missing identity, so she instead called her ex-boyfriend who was still head over heels for her.
Of course, the ex-boyfriend helped her, but Amy couldn’t resist playing another crime to escape from this guy and returned to her husband. She killed him, pretending self defense over a sexual assault.
Amy returned home to Nick, with a dramatic entrance drenched in blood, and faked a testimony to the police that she was being kidnapped by her insane ex-boyfriend.
End.
Seriously, wow! She must be a psychopath.
But, thinking about the pain she felt being betrayed by her husband, must be an unfathomable pain. The hurt that damages her dignity and self-worth must be so intense. I wonder, could that justify her actions?
Can you do something insane like that to teach someone a lesson?
I leave you with those questions.
The movie was good and mind-boggling, I watched it because I'm a fan of Ben Affleck and he was Nick Dunne in this movie. This is available on Netflix.
