How are you my friends, happy Wednesday to all! 🌞 Time flies too fast, it’s midweek and it’s the last Wednesday of August. ⌚ 😱
I mentioned in my previous post about my mom had her 1st shot of Moderna vaccine in our barangay for seniors. Since she was not feeling well after the jab we decided to move her birthday celebration when she’s all better.
The post-birthday celebration was held last Saturday. It was a simple celebration and we didn’t invite people or neighbors to come over. It's just us living in the same house to avoid the virus since my mom is a senior and we have kids around. What we did is to cook and ordered several foods that we shared to a few neighbors and relatives.
I cooked pancit with canton, we don’t want the pancit bihon alone, we always prefer it with canton. overflowing lumpiang shanghai/spring roll hahha because it’s a favorite. Luckily a seller online posted a Marsha’s bibingka and red velvet with cream cheese filling on a Friday and asked the seller to have it delivered by lunch and she agreed.
I don’t have time to bake a birthday cake for my mom that day like I always do hence I ordered a dedication dulce de leche flavored cake from food panda. Though it was a dedication cake, when you check out or push through with your order it doesn’t have that option or note where you add a dedication to be written on the cake, as you can see from the picture the cake is designed beautifully leaving the center for the note or dedication. It was too late for me to realize that maybe I can message the food panda rider and ask him to have my mom’s happy 62nd birthday greeting on the cake. Well, it happened so let’s move on hahhaha..i know now what to do next time hehe
We ate together as a family at lunchtime and enjoyed the food until dinner up to the next day hahaha..
