Shopping Online The 8.8 Sale Day

How's your day? I’m currently relaxing after cooking for dinner and completing this article before we eat later. I hope you enjoy your food too! 🍲

 Have you tried ordering online or do your shopping online? Why do you order online? How was it? What do you usually buy? Could it be essential goods/basic commodities, materials, kitchenware, housewares, construction materials, gadgets, instruments, clothes, etc.? Were you satisfied with your order?

 Even before the pandemic, I do order a few pieces of stuff online. There are these online platforms that I normally visit. They have complete lines of goods to sell. It's like an all-in-one or one-stop online shop. Imagine a grocery, a department store, hardware, a gadget store, and the like in a single platform.

Here in the Philippines, there are a lot of online shops but the 2 shops that I usually visit during a SALE are Lazada and Shopee. They have this sort of monthly sale for example for the month of June that would be 6.6, July is 7.7, August is 8.8, and so on. 6.6 means the sale will be on June 6. For 7.7 it was held last July 7. And the most recent sale was 8.8 for August 8, 2021.

I would compare the sites with regards to its shipping fee, discount vouchers, freebies hahaha😅

The more discounts, the better 😂 here are some of the items I purchased during the 8.8 SALE DAY:

Shopee

    1. From their latest sale, I was able to buy 3 sets of coffee with creamer and 2 boxes of Chuckie chocolate drinks for the kids from Nescafe's Official Store.

COMPARISON

- Nescafe store in Shoppee - total amount is P797 with 1 freebie (as seen from the screenshot)

- Nescafe store in Lazada - total amount is P751.45 with 4 freebies (as you can see from the screenshot)

You can apply discounts from the store, Shopee/Lazada vouchers, and coins if you have. The coins can be earned from playing different games in Shopee/Lazada or coins cashback from previous purchases.

You may conclude that the items I bought from Lazada are a little cheaper compared to the ones I had with Shopee though that is not always the case sometimes it's the other way around. And if both shops have the same items on sale. It's up to you to choose from which shop to buy.

Buying online for me is convenient. No waiting in line when entering a grocery store and another line to pay for your goods at the cashier. It will be delivered to your doorstep especially if it is heavy or bulky to carry. When you get to buy items on sale it's sometimes cheaper than buying from physical stores. Just be vigilant and buy from legit online stores. 😊

If you ask me, waiting in line is the hardest thing for me to do. Why??? Because I always feel the need to pee hahaha😁. I don't know but when I go out the first thing I'm looking for or asking for is Where the restroom/washroom. So, what I do before going out of the house is to pee and make sure I don’t drink water at least two to 3 hours before I leave the house. Funny right hahaha😂. Try to envision the situation with me. Prior to entering an establishment, you need to fill out a form if you don’t have a QR code scanner and queue at the entrance to give your form, they check your temperature, and then that’s the only time you can enter the building. Now, inside the building, you need to fill out another form for the store that you wish to visit. Drop the form in the box, sometimes each store also has its temperature scanner at the entrance and after that, the waiting begins. If two persons come out from the grocery then the guard will let two people go inside and so on until your turn comes. For that reason, my senior mom is the frontliner for our family especially in going to the grocery. If only everything we need can be bought online with the same price like in the groceries with no shipping/delivery fee, that would be great hahaha…sorry that’s me again and my imagination hahaha. Just thinking maybe in the future then hehehe😅
