What was the best advice that you got from someone? I joined this community for freelancers two months ago. We have different clients in different industries, have different roles & responsibilities but we work together online via Zoom. Basically, to keep us awake at night, entertained and motivated to work. Before I joined our nightly Zoom Meeting, they were already sharing about the best advices that someone gave them. When I was asked this question, I couldn't think of anything. Sometime in my life, someone must have given me an advice which helped mold me to the person I am today. However, I couldn't think of any particular advice from someone that was deeply engraved in my heart. I kept thinking and thinking. Then, I realized that I have been doing the opposite things that people have been telling me to do. I grew up from a typical asian household. My parents already knew what they wanted and what they didn't want me to be. Families, friends and people around me have this expectations of me which I cannot keep up with. When I was asked, what was the best advice that you got from someone? I shared my side of the story. I cannot recall any advice given from someone that I followed and turned out great for me. In the contrary, I have been doing the opposite things. They expected me to fail but I'm okay. I couldn't ask for more today. I believe that whatever you do is okay as long as you are happy, you are good to yourself and to others. Some short advice I can give to someone to make your life better and easier, based on my experiences: Do good to others and good things will come back to you You cannot control how people will think and react. But, you can control your thoughts and how you react. Mind your business. Check on yourself, mind your own problems before you mind someone elses. Life is a journey. It's not worth living if it doesn't have challenges. Stop comparing your hurdles to other people's hurdles. The weight of the problem varies from one person to the other. Be open to feedback. Learn from bad experiences and disappointments. It is the key to becoming a better person. Always think of positive thoughts. Negative things will happen but try to get the positive thing from your experience. Progress is progress. Small progress is still progress. Appreciate what you have and if you are not happy with where you are right now, do something about it. Work on it. Nothing happens if you just think about it. Keep living. We all die eventually, might as well live with no regrets. Hope this helps you. And, if you are not feeling good today, take a rest. If you are down, cheer up, you are not alone. It may be difficult for you now but do your best and it will all be worth it :) Xx, Pee

Typhoon Ulysses PH Typhoon Vamco was discovered by Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA). This typhoon started as a tropical depression in one of the islands in Micronesia which is known Palau. It looks like Typhoon Vamco heard how beautiful the Philippines is, so it decided to make a stop around November 11 of 2020. It might have been broken hearted that we Filipinos were not very welcoming of it, that it wreaked havoc in Central Luzon, Metro Manila and its nearby provinces. It cried its eyes out until rivers in Manila started to overflow which caused the worst flooding since 2009. Even the dams all around Luzon were full, almost reaching their spilling points. One of the dams reached its spilling point forcing all seven gates of the dam to open to prevent dam burst. The water going out the 7 gates overflowed Cagayan River which caused heavy and tragic flooding in Cagayan and Isabela. People tried hard to evacuate and looked for a place to stay where the water couldn’t reach them but it wasn’t possible with the sudden rapid rising of water that happened. A lot of lives were taken because of it and its strong flow of water. It was a very unfortunate event for all the people and places that were affected by the typhoon. If you are going to think about it, there were old people there, sick people, people with disabilities, people who can’t swim, children, babies who can easily catch a cold or get sick and even newborn! These people are very lucky if they get to survive that tragic event. But if not, it will be devastating for the survivors or family with terrible losses. Imagine mourning for the loved ones you lost while thinking about money to repair the damages, food and a lot more. I can’t imagine myself thinking about problems and money while bereaved. It is crazy! 2020 is hell of year! Filipinos are strong. I know that this too shall pass and they will have their hearts healed in no time. It might be tragic for others but also a blessing to the people that survived and the rest that were not affected. Let us all be strong, go through this, pick ourselves back up, fight and live this second life that He has given. The whole world should hear about it. These people affected by it are not asking for your sympathy but is asking for help. To others, please stop complaining about your bad day or your awful life because you don't want to go through what these people have gone through. Be contented of your life and what you have. Also, if you are not contented, try to work hard for it and make things happen. Please stay safe everyone!

Do you want to get my opinion on a situation or specific topic you can think of? I can also share my experiences about it. Either financial, mathematics, studies, employment, recipes, love experiences: familial love, motherly or heartbreaks. Let me know! I will make a long article about it haha
My Money Growth *Do you ever wonder how you can grow your money from just a few cents?* Let us talk about how my money grew for the past months. Investments are good talk these days. With the pandemic, we start questioning ourselves where were the money that we were earning this whole time are. When the covid crisis started, a lot of people lost their job and were forced to stay at home. It was and is still difficult. We needed money to pay for everything especially with the prices increasing. So, a lot of people started to put their attention to cryptocurency, including me. I am hungry for money even before covid. Screw people who tells you that money can’t buy happiness. Maybe they are just not spending it on important things and doesn’t know what giving is about. I have worked a lot of different jobs in my life even when I was still a student where I didn’t really need that much money. I have worked as a school tutor, student assistant, as a cashier, data encoder, customer service specialist, banker, financial advisor, brand promoter, virtual assistant, freelancer and other small jobs that I found on the internet. Why should we settle for less when we can be greater? I always look for jobs that will give me a bigger salary and satisfy my needs. I could barely save money though. It is always not enough. I believe most of us have the same reason as to why we joined read.cash which is to earn through BCH without investing money. But do you think all of us can earn big amounts in this platform? I mean, not all of us are born writers or authors. I have read great articles from few passionate authors. I salute @wakeupkitty the most for writing a lot of articles in a day and all of these are great. Not everyone can do that. I’m not a writer and I can barely think of good content for my articles. I am a lame author and there are a lot of people here that are much worse than me, sorry to say that. If you pay attention, you will see that a person becomes transparent on their own writing and I see you. You came here only with the purpose of earning and that is the same with me which I cannot deny. Now, let’s get to the point. How did I grow my money in the past month? So, I joined read.cash 3 months ago and earnings were not consistent. There were days I earned less and there were days I earned more than usual which was exciting but not enough. Every time I earned at least a dollar, I would cash it out immediately scared of the BCH fluctuation. I would save all the earnings I had in read.cash and invest it in a betting website where I lost but I also earned more than what I lost. Now, don't judge me. I agree that gambling is not good and some are illegal. When I say gambling, I meant a certified betting website though which there are a lot of. Gambling is not always a guarantee so I controlled my gambling to control losing. Like, I would bet a small specific amount and whenever I reached my targeted amount, I would set it aside. When I lost consecutively, I would stop, relax and distract myself or sleep. I would let the time pass by to remove the tension that I was feeling. Then, I earned more than what I had invest. It helped with our bills and other expenditures. Last month, I met with a friend who invited me to her company called EC Online or Empowered Consumerism. It is not networking and I don’t have the time to discuss what it is about but I decided to invest my winnings on it. It was around $188 and I was able to full pay it in series of payment. It was a good investment because I earned much big in return and I am happy where I am right now! *I hope this doesn't stop though because it is making me lazy now.* My point is stop complaining if you don’t have money. Money can be found with hard work and perseverance. There are a lot of ways to earn money, it is just a matter of finding it. About investment, you have to risk it to earn it. Don’t invest if you keep on worrying about the money because it is always not a guarantee. Why would you call it investment if it is already guaranteed? It is risky but the return is worth it. Just do your research, don’t afraid to try things out and aim for bigger things. Know where, which and what to invest in. Weigh things down and calculate your probabilities of losing so you know what to expect, where and how to bounce back. We all have the potential to be great but it always depends on your choice, thinking and determination. Cheers!

Pork Mechado Thank God it's Friday! So, this is our Friday breakfast. Let's have a delicious easy-to-cook meal to start the last day of the work week! ****Ingredients**** Pork (sliced in cubes) 3 tbsp of Soy Sauce 1 Calamansi Can be substituted with Lime Garlic (minced) Onion (diced) Potato (in cubes) Frozen Green Peas Bell Pepper You can have this sliced in cubes but since my husband is not a fan of this, I had to make Batonnet cuts of this (the long ones) Knorr Pork Cube Can be substituted with Beef Cubes 6 oz of Tomato Sauce 2 cups of Water Oil Salt Ground Black Pepper ****Procedure**** Marinate Pork in Soy Sauce and Calamansi for at least 15 minutes. Heat Oil in a pot. Then, saute Garlic and Onion until it softens. Add the marinated Pork including the marinade and cook until pork turns light brown. Pour Water and add the Tomato Sauce. Stir to mix it evenly and let it boil. Add the Pork Cube, *since this is no longer available in my country, I used Knorr Beef Cube instead.* Let it cook in low heat for 40 minutes. Add the Potato and Green Peas. Let it cook for another 10 minutes. Stir in the Bell Peppers and cook for another 5 minutes. Add Salt and Ground Black Pepper to taste. Serve! Hope you enjoy this dish. Have a wonderful day! Or night, wherever you are. Stay safe and happy appetite! #FilipinoDish
Sorry for being inactive for a week or so. I had to take care of important matters at home and had to deal with work at the same time. Since I'm back, I got inspired with the other users doing sponsorship. So, to make it up to read.cash, my current subscribers and readers, I plan on doing sponsorship myself once I hit 50 subscribers! How about thaaaat? Interesting!

Hello everyone! Can anyone recommend great meal recipes for the family especially with a 1 year old joining us hehe I would appreciate all recipes you will recommend ❤️
Hamonado Hello everyone. I'm back! We had a small party over the weekend and I got to cook one of our Philippines' famous recipe called Hamonado. A very easy recipe. It took me too long to cook it, almost 3 hours because I chose the hamhock part without cutting it to pieces. You can also use different parts of pork or use small pieces of pork, any will do. **Ingredients** Pork Pineapple in can (Juice and slices) Soy Sauce Garlic (minced) Onion (diced) Water Knorr Beef Cube (Pork Cube is no longer available) Sugar Ground Black Pepper Oil **Procedure** Mix Soy Sauce and Pineapple Juice. Marinate Pork with the mixture. It is best to marinate overnight for better absorption of the flavors. Heat Oil, then saute Onion and Garlic in a huge pan. Fry the marinated pork, at least one minute on each side. Not too much. Pour in the marinated juice. Add Water, let it boil. Add the Knorr Beef Cube. Make sure to mix evenly every single time. Let it boil in the mixture for at least 1 hour per side. Cover the pan. Do these to cook evenly. You will notice less liquid on the pan. Add sugar enough for your taste. Mix evenly. Add the Pineapple Slices. Let it boil for a few minutes. Check from time to time to avoid it getting burnt. Add the Ground Black Pepper. Give it a few minutes. And it is ready to serve. Enjoy this dish! #cookingrecipe
I was inactive for few weeks because I was busy looking for a job. Any updates on read.cash? Did earning points become easy? Do they now pay better?
Any help will do Instead of writing a short post about this, I am going to publish this as an article. I would love to give this a try. Since I see a lot of people trying to buy subscribers maybe you can use your cents to help someone instead. My old workmate gave birth March 28th of this year. Due to this coronavirus situation, our work has temporarily been suspended. She is living with her 3 month old baby together with her husband in the city. She had PCOS which was the reason why she had a bad pregnancy. As confidential as it is, her baby is having complications (nothing specific given) giving her a hard time to breastfeed. Probably because of stress, she now has low supply of milk. Her husband used to work as a company driver but his work was also suspended for him. They just try and borrow money from anyone who can help them to buy diapers and milk for their baby. If there's some money left, they use it to buy small food for her and her husband. Cebu city is in hard lockdown due to this non stop increase of coronavirus positive cases. I am also outside the city so it is impossible for me to share my goodies with them. However, money can easily be transferred through Bayad Centers (3rd party money transfer company) in the Philippines. So, maybe, just maybe, you can help this family. I also don't have any work right now, that's why I am doing everything I can to earn few cents here in read.cash. I promise that anyone who gives an upvote for this or the money that I am going to earn from this article will be sent to this family. It might not be much but any amount is helpful. Once I have collected the money in read.cash, **I will take a picture of it with the total amount, another picture when I send it and another picture once she receives it**. Then, I will make another article and **attach all the pictures there to serve as proof** that your money has not been wasted and that you were not scammed. I will nor forget to mention anyone who will help us. Let us help anyone we can. This was the only way that popped in my head. Any cent will be helpful. Let us give back and receive ten times more. Thank you
Don't be ridiculous! I know you are desperate for money. We all are. However, it is wrong to scam people. If you tell people to do this and pay them, then do so. You might be using money to earn subscribers and readers, but at least do as what you just said. You are giving false hope and wasting time for all these people. They could've used the time to make an article where they can really earn some. You are also giving read.cash a bad reputation. Stop saying things you are not going to do. Do you know that these people would've not subscribed to you if you're not offering money for subscribing? Now, since they have subscribed, then at least pay them as what you have told them! Don't be a loser and try to get away with it. Your talent is such a waste if you are going to use it in this way. This is ridiculous. Also, I don't encourage you to pay subscribers. That is not what read.cash is about. It is all about creating quality content. You have to earn your subscribers like everybody else does. I might sound hypocrite but as much as possible, let's not do this.
Hello to everyone who can read this! I would like to let you know that @Dangerous_Fly wants to share $1 to 100 people. Make sure to subscribe to him first and check out his post here: https://read.cash/c/any-post-are-allowed-c2a0/post-333e6c7d
Coffee Jelly When work at home started, my husband asked me to make coffee several times. I got tired of making the regular coffee until I saw someone selling Coffee Jelly on Facebook. I got intrigued! So, I made one for my husband. I later learned that adding salt to the Milk Mixture gives it a balance of the sweetness. Check out how I make my Coffee Jelly at home! **Ingredients** 1 pack of Black Gulaman (unflavored) 1/2 cup of White Sugar 5 cups of Water 2 tbsp of Kopiko Black Coffee 1 tsp of Original Nescafe Coffee 1 390 ml can of Condensed Milk 1 370ml can of Evaporated Milk 1 pack of All Purpose Cream 1/2 tsp of Salt **Procedure** Combine Water, Gulaman Powder, Sugar and Kopiko Black Coffee in a cooking pot. Mix evenly. I always use a whisk to combine ingredients to give it an evenly mixture. Let it boil. Then, transfer to a rectangular container afterwards. Let it cool and thicken. In a large bowl, mix Evaporated Milk, All Purpose Cream, Condensed Milk, Original Nescafe Coffee and Salt. Mix evenly using a whisk. Set aside. Once your Gulaman is firm, slice it in medium sized cubes: do a lengthwise and crosswise slice to achieve it. Transfer the Gulaman Cubes to your preferred container. Add the Milk Mixture and stir well to evenly spread the jelly. Chill for at least 6 hours. Serve! Please note that coffee alone and coffee jelly taste differently because of the Milk Mixture in Coffee Jelly. Also, its effects from one another differ. Original coffee will for sure make you wide awake buf for coffee jelly, it may keep you wide awake but depends on your caffeine tolerance. Anyway, now, my husband always ask me to make Coffee Jelly instead of the regular. You should try it out!
Giving up doesn't always mean losing As what I have said in my previous entry, I used to drink a lot. I would drink alcohol for a lot of reasons like to meet and get to know people, to make use of the freedom that I never had, to **release** the stress that I felt at work, to accompany a friend that was going through a hard time and other things. I loved alcohol because it was my lie detector. When I wanted to get to know people, I would invite them for a drink. I always choose to be around people who are genuine and honest. Alcohol made it easy for me. It was probably the reason why I got addicted to it. How it made things easy for me. However, alcohol also taught me a lot of bad things. It can give you health problems. It can destroy family relationships. It can be the cause of financial problems. It can be the start of some illegal and criminal activities. It can lead to drug addiction. It can put you on the wrong path. It can make you lose yourself, people and the things you have now. It even taught me how to smoke cigarettes. I don't blame alcohol because I was sober and it was my decision. But, as I reminisce that moment when I was watching the litter of cigarette **ashes**, I knew that it was an influence of alcohol. When I was drinking, I was lucky that I was with good people. But, what if I ended up going with the wrong people? I wouldn't be here writing this for you. So, please. Let us all drink moderately and be a responsible drinker. The title I have decided might **perplex** you but to me, giving up doesn't always mean losing because when I gave up on alcohol, I won in life. *I used my laptop to type this using Microsoft Word while I used my mobile phone to time this at 10 minutes. I got an extra 23 seconds lol* *I did not use a Translation for this nor Grammarly. I just edited the grammar myself after I typed everything in one go.* #alcoholeffects #freewrite
Creamy Caldereta Have a taste of the famous Filipino Beef Stew! If you don't have some beef in stock or you don't eat beef, you can substitute this with Pork or Chicken! **Ingredients** Beef or Pork (cubes) 1 can of Pineapple Tidbits (separate Juice from Pineapples) 2 cups of Water (or more) 1/4 tsp of Salt 1/4 tsp of Ground Black Pepper 4 cloves of Garlic (minced) 1 piece of Onion (diced) 2 Red Bell Pepper (lengthwise) 1/2 cup of Tomato Sauce 2 piece of Carrot (cubed) 2 pieces of Potato (cubed) 1 tbsp of Sugar 1 sachet of Maggi Magic Sarap (can be substituted with Salt and Vetsin) 2 pieces of Chili Peppers (diagonal) 1 pack of All Purpose Cream 1/4 cup of Cheese (grated) Oil **Procedure** Put meat in a cooking pot. Add Pineapple Juice, Water, Salt and Pepper. Let it boil and simmer for 1 hour or until meat is tender. Once tender, drain: separate the broth from the meat. Set aside. Heat Oil in a wide pan. Saute Garlic, Onion and Red Bell Pepper. Add meat and simmer for 2 minutes. Add Tomato Sauce and the Broth. Let it simmer until sauce is slightly thickened. Add Carrots and let it simmer for 2 minutes. Then, add the Potatoes. Simmer for another 3 minutes. Season with Magic Sarap, Sugar and Chili Peppers. Simmer for 2 minutes. Add All Purpose Cream. Simmer for 3 minutes. Add the Cheese, stir and simmer for 2 minutes. Turn off the heat. Serve! This Creamy Caldereta is best served on a special ocassion. But since this is a very easy dish to cook and is very delicious. You can just cook this anytime you want and every time your family or kids request it. They will surely love it!
The World of the Married I am not sure if someone here have already written about this but this is a great movie series to recommend. The World of the Married is a Korean movie series directed by Mo Wan-Il and Kim Sung-Jin. This movie series is based on an American drama series called Doctor Foster. The content of this series generates attention and discussion. It talks about a cheating husband and a wife that alreadys knows about it. The husband betrayed their long years of relationship and just cheated off with a younger girl. The wife was vengeful. She tried to take back everything that she lost because of choosing him. She had to do some terrible things just to take revenge and have custody over her son. I don't like people that cheat on their partners in real life nor in movies. The fact that people had the potential to leave their partners but instead they chose to stay and cheat on them. One of the scenes that really annoyed me was even when the wife already found out and told him, he still had the audacity to lie! Ohhh! The movie annoys me so much but it is a great movie to watch. It gives you an idea about relationships and marriage, how the longevity of your relationship cannot be the basis of love, how spending time with your family is important, how your kids get affected with your decisions and actions and a lot more! So, you better watch it ❤️
it starts within.. If you don't love yourself, how do you expect anyone to love you? Love starts with you. You can just easily say you love yourself. But, do you? How can you tell? Loving yourself is understanding your worth. You don't settle for less. You don't settle for a boy who chooses to ignore you or abuses you. You wouldn't have the time talking to people that doesn't appreciate your presence. You know how precious you are, how to spend your time wisely and who to spend it with. You prioritize your own happiness. Loving yourself is having self-respect. You don't do things that would hurt you. You take responsible for your own actions. You wouldn't force yourself to be with people who you're not comfortable with. You work hard to earn your place. You don't let others decide for you especially your future. We all want to be loved. Tell me, who doesn't? You might have insecurities. You might not like your social status. We all have something to complain. If you don't like where you're at right now, then work hard and do more. If you don't like how you're feeling about yourself, then do something about it. For example, if you don't like how fat you are, then do some workout. We achieve most things through hard work. You might had problems with your past. Or you don't like your face. Loving yourself includes contentment and acceptance with who you were and who you are right now. You were given this face because it looks good on you. Wear it proudly. Don't forget to smile. It lightens up your face which makes it a masterpiece. For your past, we cannot go back, so what we can do is to accept it and let it serve as a lesson for anyone and for our future endeavors. We all want to be loved. Who doesn't? Learn to love yourself first and everything follows. Love starts within.
I wasn't able to write anything today. I was so busy painting a landscape as the background for my mom's altar. I also had to repaint the sculptures from 1954 😅 I wasn't able to workout. Today was supposed to be the first day. I just keep on moving it to another day until I just forget about it 😓
Avocado Ice Cream This is how I usually make my Avocado Ice Cream. It has less sugar, very healthy and is delicious! ****Ingredients**** 1 pack of All Purpose Cream 1 can of Condensed Milk Avocado Small amount of Milk ****Procedure**** Chill All Purpose Cream for 4 hours. Sometimes, I put it in the freezer for it to Chill faster. Use an Electric Mixer to whisk the cream and create a fluffy cream. Add Condensed Milk and whisk it to mix evenly. Set aside. Remove the seed and the stalk from the avocado. Mash it! Pour small amounts of milk to smoothen it. Then, add it to the mixture using a ladle. Mix evenly. Transfer to a plastic ware. Freeze it over night. And that is it. You have your Avocado Ice Cream. Your family, kids and friends will love this! You can also add some peanuts or chocolate chips on the mixture!
cheers to the old times I used to drink a lot when I was in college. I lived in the city, far from my strict parents I would skip classes to drink with my best friend. I would only go to school to work as a tutor. The pay was not enough. I was obsessed with earning more money to **support** my bad habit which was drinking. So, I applied in a fast food restaurant while I was studying. I got the job and my colleagues were alcoholics. Every night after shift, we would go to the nearest bar and drink. When I graduated and got my degree, I applied as a call center agent because of the high salary offered. I got the job and I easily made friends because most people in the BPO industry drink a lot. We drink while on breaks, during lunch time or right after our shifts. There are even times when we drink starting from when we get off work and we finish just few hours from the start of our shifts. On rest days, since we get off work in different times, we would meet in the nearest bar and drown ourselves with liquor. There are times where these people would get so drunk and just crawl like a **worm** on their way home, literally. It was fun and I rarely get drunk which is sad. I drink so much to get drunk! It is much more fun if you are the drunk one. I even drink twice than the people I am with but since I have high tolerance on alcohol. It always ends up me being alive and then them dying. I don’t consider myself as an alcoholic because alcoholics cannot stop themselves from drinking. They drink at home or even when alone. As for me, I only drink when I am with workmates, friends and relatives but never at home nor alone. Drinking was my way to **release** my inner self and to experience the fun or happy moments that I never had when I was with my family. Because at home, my life was controlled by very strict parents. I was living the life of a prisoner.. ***I used my laptop for making this article in Microsoft Word. My mobile phone as my timer for 10 minutes.*** *I have so much more to say! The timer stopped before I could give it a happy ending lol but just to redeem myself, I had a rough past when I was living with my parents but I already stopped drinking since I became the happiest person on earth. And that is when I got married to the love of my life last year and we now have a 1 year old son who walks like a drunk person hehehehe* *PS. I never regretted the moments that I had when drinking because these were times that I met the most wonderful people. I always hear people judging alcoholics when you don't even know what they went through. They are the strongest and wisest people I have known. You only see the outside yet you judge it. Try to sit down and drink with them, you have a lot to learn. Don't blame them for their past. They drink as a celebration of being alive despite how cruel life was to them.* *If you don't like drinking because of these people, then the problem is with you. Because drinking will depend on how you control yourself. It is your attitude on the situation and it will not depend on the people you are with. You are to blame for your own actions.* *I don't encourage people to drink because it is solely your decision. But if you do, just remember to drink moderately and to know your limits or bottle number.* *Be a responsible drinker~*

Easy Fried Cabbage This is in relation to my previous article that talked about the patron saint of Ireland- St. Patrick, an Irish recipe, as promised. I apologize if this is very basic. Any country basically cook this. But this is the simplest Irish recipe that I found that I can cook with the basic ingedients that I have here at home. I looked for a lot of Irish recipes but most of them have ingredients that are hard to find due to this coronavirus situation. I did find this and tried it with Margarine and it does taste good! **Ingredients** 1 head of Cabbage (sliced lengthwise) 4 cups of Water Knorr Chicken Cube 2 tsp of Butter (can be substituted with Margarine) Salt and Pepper to taste **Procedure** Boil Water in a pot for around 5 minutes or so. Add Knorr Chicken Cube to create our Chicken Broth. Let it simmer for 2 to 3 minutes. Add the Butter. Let it simmer for another 3 minutes. Add the cabbage. Cover and cook over low heat to steam the cabbage for about 30 minutes or until Cabbage is tender. Stir frequently. Season with Salt and Pepper. Serve. This is just an easy normal dish if you think about it. But, this is the easiest recipe that anyone can cook, aside from omelet. The ingredients are also easy to gather. Butter will give you a bland taste but with margarine, it gives you a little taste of sweetness. Try it out!
St. Patrick's Day Americans and other countries in the world have been celebrating this holiday which they call St. Patrick's Day. Each country celebrates this holiday in different ways. When we hear about this holiday, there are things that pops in our heads and these are green clothes, leprechauns and shamrock. But, do all of these people know the history of this holiday? Who is behind this holiday? Why do we have to wear green clothes on this holiday? And what does leprechauns have to do with this holiday? Learning the story behind this holiday is important because it gives you a better understanding of what's going on around the world. Let me give you the answers to your questions. St. Patrick's Day is a national holiday celebrated by different countries to commemorate St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland, and to celebrate the acceptance of Christianity by the Irish. Now, St. Patrick is not Irish. He was born in Britain and was kidnapped by Irish people at the age of 16. He was transported to Ireland where he became a prisoner and a slave. After 6 years, he was able to escape and return to his country. When he was in Britain, he reported that an angel appeared in his dream telling him to return to Ireland as a missionary. After years of religious training, he went back to Ireland to minister the Christians already living in Ireland and to begin converting the Irish. He chose to incorporate the traditional ritual of the Irish into his lessons of Christianity instead of attempting to eradicate their native beliefs. He was not made a Saint by the Catholic Church but was proclaimed as a Saint by the people. And what does a leprechaun have to do with this? It all started on the legend where St. Patrick used a three-leaf shamrock to explain the Holy Trinity to Irish pagans and this Shamrock plant sometimes has a four-leaf clover. This four-leaf clover is the leprechaun's favorite food. Leprechauns are mythical creatures from Irish folklore. They are short, red-haired fairies dressed in green suits. But, why do we have to wear green clothes? Irish tradition believes that leprechauns like to pinch anyone they see and if a person wears green clothes, then that person becomes invisible to leprechauns. However, green has been associated with Ireland when the Shamrock plant (which is green) became a national symbol and became popular. Ireland's landscape also became another reason why this color green has become associated with the country. So, these are the most important information that you have to know about the holiday. I hope this article is useful to your knowledge. If you can also suggest a topic that I can talk about here, you may comment it below and I would appreciate it. Next article is about an Irish dish that I usually cook for the family!
