MidNight Gems - Undiscovered, Underrated & Forgotten Songs vol.55 "Heaven can´t Wait RIP Jim&Meat" For those of you that are new to my MidNight Gems series. Welcome to this nightly trip on which we will uncover & recover some amazing songs & covers. Jim Steinman was my first love and it will always last..... Meatloaf was his loudmouth microphone but these lost boys were best together, although musically Jim outperformed Meat... On stage, Meat would blow Jim away with his mouth closed.... Tonight is just a tribute to my childhood heroes, as Bat out of Hell was the first grownup recorded I ever listened to. Kicking it off with this little gem, probably unknown to all but this was written by Jim after Yvonne left Jesus Christ the musical by that other great composer A.L. Webber. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DM3dYCp-op8 Yvonne Elliman - 'Happy Ending` https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zuW4QwHyGAk But of course this is how we like them best...written by Jim, performed by Meat...and all we can do is read´em and weep. Meat Loaf - Read 'Em and Weep https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9KSycU1Th38 Those two went nowhere fast, so many arguments and fights only happen between perfect matches....they even didn´t do such a bad job integrating the 80´s in their bombastic musical spectical. Meatloaf - Nowhere Fast https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1MWmYMp8hrk Talking about those eighties, if you listen really good...or maybe just listen you will hear Jim´s signature on the next one as well. The Sisters of Mercy - More https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BURM7l6_pvg But these 2 lost boys just needed to team up and impress the golden girls and let the angels do the backup vocals on one of their greatest Gems. Meat Loaf - Lost Boys and Golden Girls https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a5pC_R7RlGI I will be saying a prayer for these falling angels tonight, and I will be grateful for growing up on the melodies of these myths.. Meat Loaf - The Future Ain't What It Used to Be https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pds-3Uov1t0 As both are now up there with the angels I think this is what heaven will sound like as off now...all music up there produced by Mr. Jim Steinman just like this next song. Vittoria! (Aida 2002) - Opera Babes https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BiOAb6hGI9c Heaven could no longer wait....they needed their golden boys back and send their angels one last time. Heaven can wait, And a band of Angels wrapped up in my heart, Will take me through the lonely night, Through the cold of the day. And I know, I know, Heaven can wait, And all the gods come down here just to sing for me, And the melody's gonna make me fly, Without pain, without fear. Heaven Can(t) Wait https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VJKm0KxQ2L4 But after all, this how they will need to be remembered being on earth and being All Revved Up With ONE Place To Go MEATLOAF/JIM STEINMAN - Rockpalast 1978 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nv4yLDLmtOQ Youtube full playlist: https://read.cash/@BitcoinBaby/midnight-gems-undiscovered-underrated-and-forgotten-songs-vol48-play-with-fire-ea38912d#youtube-full-playlist Now you can find the playlists I create also created on youtube https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLXQdG71WNB5UrOqXBikJTYm1VMpvUI3D2 https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLXQdG71WNB5XCh8dW5l5tCUOKgdf3yM_J https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLXQdG71WNB5XCh8dW5l5tCUOKgdf3yM_J What the fluff are midnight gems? https://read.cash/@BitcoinBaby/the-best-covers-you-probably-never-heard-midnight-gems-vol10-cover-love-eb436a0c#what-the-fluff-are-midnight-gems Somewhere lost in time, trying to escape out of the rabbit hole back into the rat race there is a vacuum..... that´s the place where midnight gems are found. My Midnight Gems will try to uncover & recover those beautiful songs that nobody ever noticed or might have been forgotten. Who the fluff am I? https://read.cash/@BitcoinBaby/the-best-covers-you-probably-never-heard-midnight-gems-vol10-cover-love-eb436a0c#who-the-fluff-am-i Being a former DJ playing about everything and having an uncompleted study of radio journalism. I have been wanting to do this for years....Thought about it many nights and guess now it´s time to finally take it to the streets. Hope you enjoyed this slightly confronting wave of amazing music and you still feel like joining me on the next special edition trip as vol.56 of Midnight Gems is coming soon.
