I Am Fully Vaccinated Against COVID-19 | Sharing Vaccine Information
It was November 5 when I got my second dose of Pfizer Vaccine. As usual, I lined up and went through the same process. I got there at around 8 and my number was already far behind the number I got for my first dose. Since I got 275 as my waiting number, I already assumed that I will be going home past lunchtime. To my surprise, the vaccination that day was super fast. The first time that I waited 4 hours to get vaccinated was just two and a half hours of waiting for the second time. I got vaccinated at around 10 o'clock and arrived home at 10:30.
I was a little worried about the side effects of the vaccine on me since my friend told me that he experienced having a fever and headache after getting fully vaccinated. But mine was different, I didn't have a fever rather I just got flu. The discomfort in the injection site didn't even last for two days. I think my body is already adjusted to the vaccine.
My Thoughts After Getting The Second Dose
I am still not allowing myself to roam around outside especially if it's just unnecessary. I will try my best to stay here in the comfort of my home. Although meeting my friends and other relatives will most likely happen, I am still going to take extra precautionary measures. It's not a bad thing to go out especially when meeting with someone but be extra careful. Sometimes being jailed inside the house will be suffocating and we just need a little breather. Remember, **Mental Health is as important as physical health.**
Will I Encourage You To Get Vaccinated?
It's a big YES! Getting vaccinated will give you peace of mind. It's so hard to not get paranoid when having the flu and cough since we are experiencing consistent changing weather.
Get vaccinated if you can. Some people are skeptical of getting the vaccine and it's okay. You just need assurance that everything is going to be okay if you get the vaccine. You can always take time to decide. But if you don't have a reason in your mind to decide, just think of the people that you are living with. The friends and other people that you are meeting with.
The sad truth is that the virus is not going away. It will forever exist on this planet but we can control its transmission by getting vaccinated and following health protocols.
Here are some important information about the vaccine
*"Vaccines do not provide a foolproof assurance of immunity (protection) against a disease. Although a degree of protection is actually conferred, the possibility exists that immunity can be overwhelmed by massive exposure to virulent field strains or different strains of the causative organism. There is no substitute for strict sanitation and good management."*
*"Vaccines do not confer instant protection. Immunity develops gradually and you will be adequately protected until about 2 weeks after effective vaccination."*
*"The level of immunity or protection provided by vaccination depends upon several factors, namely: the potency of the vaccine, amount administered, route of vaccination, and capability of vaccinated birds to respond to the vaccination."*
*"The route of administration also influences the level of immunity. Other people get vaccinated in their gluteus muscle or butt area."*
"*The duration of protection/immunity from vaccination varies with the type of vaccine and the level of immunity conferred by such vaccination."*
*"Vaccination is a pre-exposure method of disease control. The vaccination itself may be regarded as a mild form of infection since vaccines are made up of the same organisms that cause the infection though in the altered, modified, or inactivated form."*
*"Immediately burn empty vials or bottles of leftover reconstituted*
*vaccine after using. Vaccines are attenuated (not dead) organisms and may revert to virulent form under the natural condition if spread on the ground."*
P.S. This is just information that I learned by reading my modules in Veterinary Medicine. I indicated it here because it applies also to humans. I do not claim any of this information.
If you are not sure about the information that I have provided, you can always do your research.

I am finally done with my two exams so I have the time to squeeze in this article. I am glad that I am already fully vaccinated. Let us all help to stop the spreading of the virus. Keep healthy and always be safe!

Accounting My Online Purchases
It sucks when we run out of money and it's like it is just slipping through our fingers. So, I decided to make a list of my online purchases and categorize it based on my needs and wants.
Rica Peralejo's vlog about managing money gave me the idea of writing this. It reminded me that I should be financially aware especially in this time of pandemic where it is hard to earn money.
https://youtu.be/PFQ6-orGi58
I like it because she spoke about how she handles her money and even guested a financial advisor on this vlog.
In this time of the pandemic, I had purchases that I regretted to buy and it isn't worth it. It became a lesson and as discussed on the vlog, it was one of the money mistakes that I wasn't able to avoid.
Here is a list of my online purchases
I started online shopping just this pandemic because I cannot go to physical stores. I'm not really a spender but sometimes I am being possessed of the impulsive buying spirit. LoL. As you can see, I made a breakdown of the items I purchased. Some of them are worth it and some are not.
Prices of it may be different from what it is now because of the shipping fees and the time ordered. Shopee, Lazada, and Zalora are my trusted e-commerce sites that I shop at since they are already proven and tested by others.
3,834 pesos or $74.48 is the total breakdown of my purchases. Looking at it now, it's a big figure for me as a student who doesn't have a regular job.
My Needs vs Wants
Of course, I made a table of my Needs vs Wants. The majority of the items listed on my Needs are for my online class: Highlighters, Muji Inspired Notebook, and Earphones. The remaining two are for myself and the cats.
The items listed on the Wants are the ones that I want but it isn't actually necessary or a need as of this moment.
Items that are Worth It and are Not Worth It
It is already automatic that the items that I purchased for my online class are worth it because I used them most of the time. The Ceramide cream is what I use for my body and the running shoes for jogging and when working out.
So, some of it is partially worth it that I regretted buying. First is the phone case, I bought it because I am clumsy and I needed a case that has a wrist strap because my phone always gets dropped for no reason. I consider it partially worth it because I do not use it anymore for the reason that it can't fit on my phone stand due to the magnet ring on it.
Sling bag and Chia seeds. I don't use and consume this always. The sling bag was my first online purchase and the reason that I bought because I think it looks cute. But due to the current situation that we're in, it just gets stored in my cabinet. The chia seeds on the other hand were for my oats and drinks. I bought it because it helps with my diet and it is healthy. But I just used it sometimes and consumed not even a cup of it.
On the other hand, the pet leash and ring binders are useful but not all the time. I bought two pet leashes for my cats but we don't use them often because the cats are just free-roaming. We just leash one of them when they are being naughty especially when we are eating. The ring binders are useful but didn't reach my expectations. It's not straight when I put it on my notebook that I have to cut the rings by two's and three's.
What I learned from this is that I should be thinking and researching it so that I wouldn't waste my money. I learned that I should have a budget and a trust fund. Budget for me to control what I bought and not buy unnecessary things and trust funds when I get short of money. Realizing it now, I should learn to prioritize my Needs over my Wants.
I also learned that I get to have 5-10% or even more Cashback by shopping online. I downloaded the ShopBack app and as of now, I am happy that I get to have a return of some of the money that I spent. Here is my link if you're planning to download the app:

I Got My First Dose Of COVID-19 Vaccine https://read.cash/@WanderingMedStudent/i-got-my-first-dose-of-covid-19-vaccine-7762c651
How My October Went
October was a month filled with stress caused by my studies and distressing for my sanity. It was a whirlwind of almost giving up but still choosing to get up on my feet.
Last month I started my fitness journey and tried my best to be consistent with my progress. I am glad that even if it was interrupted by the rest days that I allotted after my first dose, I still pushed myself to finish the month to work out.
As you can see, there are days where I did not workout prior and after my rest days after getting vaccinated, it's because there are days that I do not feel like working out and I am trying and still learning to listen to my body.
Some boxes were sent to us and we needed to sort them out. I received a box full of clothes that were my Grandfather's old clothes and I needed to clear some space in my closet. The clothes gave me the motivation to work out to fit into the clothes.
I will never forget October. Because this month is the month where I got my first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Getting the first dose gave me peace of mind and by November 5, it will be my second and last dose.
I waited 5 months to get vaccinated. Along with that is the stress and agony that I was dealing with due to the rising cases. I would always ask my friends in the town and outside of the town if there are available slots for me to get. But God gave me the best, he wanted me to wait. All those months of waiting were worth it and it pays off now.
I became a batang INAhin hahaha lol. I bought seven broiler chicks to raise for my subject Poultry Production and I will be making a narrative report about it. To be honest, I am stopping myself to get attached to these chicks because it will be difficult to let them go when it's time. It's just right to distance myself from them to lessen the future pain.
The time when my sissie Arriane sent me some food!! It's good to know that I have friends that I can count on. This was the time when we were all so stressed in our subjects and dealing with our personal problems.
Quick Kuwento. I always felt last month that I am going to fail my subjects and failing my subjects means getting kicked out of the program. My friend even told me that I am a pessimist who sees the worse in situations. But along with that, my friend always tells me that I can. That I will pass.
Some of my seniors also tell me that I can. That they believe that I am smart, that I just need a little push. I am so flattered and grateful for the affirmations that they are giving me. It keeps me going.
Deleting the Mobile Legends App. This was hard for me to do because this is one of the things that are part of my past time. I finally decided to delete it because it was getting in my way of studying.
I am still controlling myself to avoid the temptations of downloading it again since there are free skins.
Visiting my loved ones that passed away before the end of October was important to me. It may have caused heartaches but it's okay. I am forever grateful for them.
Remembering those people that aren't going to come back and are not going to see my successes and failures makes me sad. But what I am now is because of them, they were part of my life. I just hope that we can visit them next year without restrictions and without the fear of having the virus.
I ended the last night of the month by chatting with my friend about some plant stuff. Hahaha! She even told me that the plant that was on my IG story was an Alocasia Frydek. She is also helping me to look for a boarding house if ever our limited face-to-face classes will push through next year.
I am planning to visit her in the last week or the first of December when I have the money. We will have some catching up to do.

I Can't See But I Can Sense
Spooky season has begun and we are setting aside the Christmas spirit for a few days.
We may not be celebrating all souls day with our loved ones that have passed away but we can still remember them and light a candle in the comfort of our homes. This is the second year that we are celebrating it in our homes, may we be encouraged to get vaccinated so that next year, it would be possible to visit the graves of our loved ones without the fear of having that COVID-19.
Let me share with you my spooky experiences in this article.
**Red-eyes**
It was early evening when I saw a pair of red eyes outside our window. I told my sister about it and she also saw it. We were still young at that time and I didn't really feel scared. I told my Dad about it and when he peaks through the window, the red-eyes were gone.
We don't know what that is but I am sure that it was something.
**Tiktik**
This happened when I was still a high school student. Our neighbor was pregnant at that time. The night was still young, it was around 10 o'clock. I was intrigued by the barking and meowing of the dogs and cats. I checked outside and I got a flashlight. I directed the flashlight at the roof of my neighbor and I saw that something moved!! It was like a human. I headed inside the house so scared and just went to bed.
Our neighbor's baby was okay and I think the plans of the Tiktik got canceled because of me. Hahaha.
**Faucet**
This isn't scary but weird. Yesterday midnight I went to the bathroom and saw that the faucet was on and I turned it off. What seemed weird for me was my family members don't actually wash clothes during midnight but the water kept going.
**A game that they regretted**
This isn't my story. This was the story of my childhood friend that I learned about and never going to do it.
We go to different schools and she attends the elementary school here in our barangay. One afternoon, she and her classmates tried the spirit of the glass in her school's library. While they were doing it, they sense that there was already negative energy that surrounds them. So they took off and never finished it.
But things got worse for my friend. One of the spirits followed her and she actually can see it. She sees it during flag the flag ceremony and even going home. I can remember that she always cried back then because of fear.
I didn't know what they did for the spirit to leave her alone. I think it just stopped.
I can't see you but I can sense your energy
Now, this is my story and the creepiest one. If you follow me on noise.cash you would probably see my posts that I water the plants in my grandmother's place.
At first, it was okay. I was really doing fine going there alone. I can even sit down in the kitchen chilling alone. But this happened, there was this nook where I would feel negative energy. It scares me off. I would pass there every time because it's the only way to go at the back of the house. I can't see him/her but I can feel it. It's a powerful negative energy that frightens me whenever I passed on that alleyway.
It has been months since I went to that house and I will never go there alone. I don't want to die out of fear.
I had goosebumps while writing this as it gave a throwback to the days when I feel their presence. What I can only advise you is to pray whenever you feel something scary. And also give them respect. Do not be too loud while passing places that are new to you.
P.S. all the photos that were included in this article are not mine. I do not claim any of these.
Author's Note:
Hey guys! Let's keep grinding and save up money for the things that we want to buy. I am so inspired to grind seeing the posts on noisecash about their plans of buying laptops and the post where he bought a laptop for himself. I now have the goal to grind, to buy myself a laptop.

Importance of Sex Education
Lack of Sex Education is one of the reasons why teenage pregnancy exist. Whether we admit it or not, it is one of the topics that our parents rarely discuss with us. The reasons that I think why parents do not discuss it with their children are culture and awkwardness/ being uncomfortable. It may be difficult and uncomfortable to explain to a growing child, but it is important.
This post of Durex_ph is a perfect example of being uneducated about Sex Education, other people don't take it seriously as if it was a joke. Many people have reacted "haha" to advertisements like this as if it just promotes having sex. But these kinds of advertisements of contraceptive brands aim to promote safe sex and eliminate teenage pregnancy, unwanted pregnancy, STDs, and AIDS.
Why is it important to be aware of using contraceptives?
First and foremost, using contraceptives helps you to avoid getting pregnant or getting someone pregnant while still enjoying your sex life. Aside from this, it avoids you to not getting sick and not procuring sexually transmitted illnesses.
Trust me, you should make time to understand and learn about sex education. Why? Using contraceptives will help you to have a better life even if you have a sexually active life.
Babies are blessings when you are wanting one but if you had one when you're not yet ready, then it will just be difficult for you and especially your child.
Contraceptives avoid unwanted pregnancies, will let you enjoy your sex life, will let you have greater opportunities for yourself. If you are not yet ready to become a parent, use contraceptives. Do not ruin a child's life for your indecisiveness.
**Contraceptives help you...**
All of the things that were mentioned above have explanations.
**Avoid Unwanted pregnancy**. By the use of contraceptives, you can avoid unwanted pregnancy. But why do other people don't like unwanted pregnancies?
Most probably they are too young (e.g. teenagers, young adults, still studying, chasing after their dreams, etc.)
Not financially ready.
Doesn't want to have a kid at all.
Not ready for the responsibility
And some don't want to have a child because they don't want their partners to have divided attention.
**Let you live a sexually active life.** Many people that have a sexually active life tend to use contraceptives. It makes their sex life more fun and safe. They don't want to worry about unwanted pregnancy.
**Will let you have greater opportunities for yourself.** How many parents or friends do you know that stop chasing after their dreams after having a child? Maybe one of these people are your people e.g. parents, friends,or yourself.
Having a child is a big responsibility. Infants that will depend their life on you. I know some people that gave up their dreams after having a child. Sometimes it's not their choice to decide for it.
Contraceptives will not just let you have greater opportunities for yourself but they will let you be able to provide the best life for yourself or your child someday.
**If you are not yet ready to become a parent use contraceptives.** Many children suffer from mistreatment by their parents. Sometimes the children became the punching bag when their parents are having a hard time. It's sad and it makes me angry that this is the reality of some children.
If you are going to make impulsive decisions and it involves the possibility of having a child, then consider thinking about it. Decide for yourself and the kid.
I am glad that None Government Organizations are partaking in campaigning about safe sex by giving away free contraceptives for Filipino women. In this way, the Filipinos are slowly becoming knowledgeable about the advantages of using contraceptives. And I think with more men and women expressing their need for sexual and reproductive rights, this kind of campaign should continue to reach more people.
I respect other people's culture and religious beliefs but I want them to still consider thinking of using contraceptives and be more realistic.
As I campaign for the use of contraceptives, I also campaign for health check-ups. If you are sexually active and do not use protection, get yourself check. Do not wait for your immune system to give up on you. There are ways that you can still be sexually active and free from illnesses. Go follow love yourself. ph on IG and Twitter.
It is now the time to educate ourselves with Sex Education. Ask yourself, can you even say the Tagalog words of your genitalia without feeling awkward?
Some kids have been violated and all they know about their genitalia is their "cookie". Do not let that thing to happen to your child where he/she can't explain what he/she is experiencing. Do not make it to a point where you can't understand what your child is trying to say to you.

I hope I get to help people with this kind of article. Enlightening and letting them think the reality is my goal. If some of you might get offended by this, I am sorry but we should think of the reality.

An Update You Didn't Ask For
Hello! It's me again. I am writing this blog after I published the article I Got My First Dose Of COVID-19 Vaccine. Not much has happened, I just got busy with school but I just want to share with you the things that kept me busy. https://read.cash/@WanderingMedStudent/i-got-my-first-dose-of-covid-19-vaccine-7762c651
First on the list are my exams and my future exams that are going to happen in the first and second week of November.
I'm done taking the first assessment on my subject Veterinary Embryology for the lecture. But it doesn't end there because I still have an exam on Saturday for our laboratory for the subject. To tell you honestly, the exam was freaking difficult. I may not have studied well but I know the lessons that were on the handouts. Some of the questions were not even on the learning materials that were given.
I got a 61% percent and the passing rate is at 75%. My friends told me that it wasn't bad. I know where I answered wrong, it was the damn true or false type of questions. It was really difficult to analyze. We even told our professor that the exam was like for board exam levels. And he just told us that it was okay because he was just preparing us for the boards.
Anyways, the food in the photo was sent to me by my friend, Arriane. We were having a tough week and all we ever discussed on our chat group is about our studies and vent out on each other on how hard our exams were. So, she asked for my mailing address and sent me and our other friend Queenie, food.
Second, what got me stressed was my activities in my subject Life and Works of Rizal. I hated it. It wasn't my fault to get loaded with activities, it was the department where my professor is part of. They hired her late and so we also started late. All of her activities were mostly essays and we needed to use the Filipino language. It got me stressed and I am done with the activities and finished it within less than a week. Peer pressure works. Hahaha. LoL.
As you can see in the photo, I have with me my food which was my coping mechanism for days already because of stress. I just kept eating and eating while also answering my activities.
I also celebrated my 5th month yesterday October 20 in noisecash. I am so thankful for the opportunities that this platform gave me. I had meaningful conversations and also gained friends.
I am also stressed out because I can't find a lightbulb that is around 5-10 watts that I will be needing for one of my laboratory activities. The one on this photo maybe 5 watts but it is just too small. I came looking for a lightbulb all over the town proper and even went to 8 hardware. What made it so tiring was the rain. It was uncomfortable walking on the roads.
I also asked for help from my cousin to translate to Filipino the script that I wrote for the video that I will be filming. I was having a hard time translating it last night because I was already using a lot of languages and dialects and my mind is all messed up. She was the first person that went into my mind because she's a Filipino Major.
I am also continuing my workout journey for this month!! This has helped me cope up with the stress that I am experiencing. My calendar may have gaps but I am already happy with my progress. A few days from now and my October Fitness Calendar will be marked down and I will embark on a new month to continue my fitness journey.
Since I mentioned that I will be filming a video, we are required to post it on our timelines and tag our teachers. I forgot that and I decided to deactivate my account earlier because I am always using social media that causes me to not focus on the important things--- school. I just realized after a minute that I have to reactivate it because of the video that I am going to post. Hahaha. My impulsive life decisions. Major facepalm mood.
And most importantly, I wrote this blog to tell you guys that I am already in my 5th month of being a writer here. Today, October 26 marks my 5th month of being an author/ writer/blogger. This means a lot to me because this platform helped me to release my thoughts and thank all of you for your continuous support.

I Got My First Dose Of COVID-19 Vaccine
It has been 7 days after I got vaccinated and I think this is the best time to share my experiences. I actually opted to release my vaccination story a little bit late to have a review of the effects of the vaccine on me.
Failed Attempt Of Getting My First Dose Story
October 11 when my Dad told me that I was scheduled for vaccination the following day for a morning schedule. He told me that the one who told him was the Barangay Health Worker which is a family friend of ours.
I woke up so early and arrived at the mall at around 8:30. I even stopped by the other mall because I left my valid ID (face shield). Upon my arrival, I got a form which has a number that will be called for the actual screening.
I got number 243 and the line was quite a queue already. I bumped into my friend and we hang out a bit in the SM Hypermarket while waiting for our number to get called since the guard wasn't allowing us to enter the mall.
Finally getting in the mall. There was a lot of power interruption during this day and it was awful! I waited for this line for about two hours and here is the annoying part, I received a message from my sister telling me that it wasn't my schedule. My schedule was the following day (Wednesday). It sucks, right? I opted to stay there for about half an hour thinking that I will get a chance to get vaccinated that very day but when I was sitting 3 rows before the announcer's table, he already told us that we should just get back at around 12:30 because it is already lunch break.
So I went home very annoyed with everyone; my dad, the BHW, and the power corporation here in Albay. I contacted my Aunt if she can get me vaccinated in the afternoon and she told me that she will drop me off at the mall. But the odds weren't on my side that day. After I was done eating lunch, the rain started and almost lasted for an hour. It stopped at around 1 pm causing me to be late for my 12:30 call time. I was already annoyed, tired, and drained so I decided not to push through and just wait the following day for my actual appointment.
I just got pissed off that day because I wasted time, they wasted my time instead of me taking those long hours to review for my exam.
The Actual Day Of My Vaccination!!!
I went to the mall earlier than the time that I went on my first attempt. The distribution of the forms was already organized and they check if your name is included in the list.
I got number 203 for being early that day and we were already allowed to go inside the mall. I seated beside my neighbor and our numbers weren't really far from each other. I must say that on this day, I was actually prepared.
There are 6 steps. At this point, we were given envelopes that have forms in it and we got interviewed.
Step 2. The nurses got our blood pressure. They do not allow you to get vaccinated if your blood pressure is too high. What they did was, instruct the individuals that have high blood pressure to sit down for a bit and drink water, and after that their blood pressure will be monitored again.
Step 3. They asked me if I have allergies to medication and I said no. At this point, I already got hungry so I decided to take out my biscuit.
Step 4. This is the station where you will sign an informed consent form for the Pfizer-Biotech COVID-19 Vaccine.
Step 5. This is where the attending physician will sign your forms.
Step 6. This is where the vaccine is going to be administered. The administration of the vaccine didn't hurt that much but I was shocked because the nurse didn't inform me that she was about to inject the vaccine. It's like a bite of an ant.
We weren't allowed to leave yet because we are still getting monitored for the possible side effects after getting the vaccine. It didn't take long after I got cleared out and went home because there is no one to take photos of me on the vaccination background. Hahaha.
What Were The Side Effects That I Experienced After Getting My First Dose?
Well, there were three side effects: Headache, Chills, and Heavy arm. The headache that I experienced lasted only for a day because I drank paracetamol before and after my first dose. Though the chills were reoccurring for about 4 days it is tolerable. I just took plenty of rest and drank a lot of water. The heaviness in my arm lasted also for 4 days and I wasn't able to lift or carry small stuff because I was too worried about it.
I didn't drink coffee and work out after I got vaccinated because it wasn't ideal. Upon during my research, it says that cardiac arrest is prone to the newly vaccinated and it is advised not to do tiring activities and to not drink coffee.
Should You Get Vaccinated?
I highly encourage you to get vaccinated. Some vaccines are proven to be effective in fighting other illnesses. The recent research was about Pfizer's effectiveness.
Getting vaccinated nowadays is a heroic act because it is not just you who protects yourself from the Coronavirus but you are also protecting the people around you especially your loved ones.
If you are not yet decided whether you want to get vaccinated or not, take your time and think about it. Do not pressure yourself. You can always do research. If you have a comorbidity, you just have to be really honest with the vaccination team so your health will not be at risk.
We can get back to the old normal if we will participate in this worldwide solution. Let's fight the stigma and hopefully, the world will get back to where it used to be.

A Year With My Not-So-Little One
October 11 when my friend messages me asking if I wanted to adopt a cat. I still can remember that I was sitting on the throne while scrolling on my social media accounts. She offered me the kitten that was supposedly was given to hers because they cannot accommodate it anymore.
I wasn't a cat person until now that I live with two cats. Back then I am too scared of cats because some are just aggressive and moody. For a moment you can touch them and be clingy to you and suddenly gets moody and get angry at you. Hahaha.
Fast forward, I told my friend that I want the cat. That time I wasn't sure if I can take care of it because of my fright. We met up and the kitten was inside a shoebox wanting to get out. I remember taking a look at it and suddenly stretches its arm reaching me. I was scared as fvck. Hahaha. I was screaming and we were laughing. Hahaha.
I named her Bambi. She was caged for about two weeks before I finally let her out. I did that because she wasn't familiar with our place and we don't have any gates. This was the time that I still don't want to touch her because I am still afraid.
I finally set her free after two weeks of being caged. Taking the tiny steps of familiarizing the place.
Look at that adorable cute cat! This was the start of allowing her to come to my bed. But I still caged her when it's nighttime because I can't monitor her 24/7.
There was a time when Bambi went missing for three days. Of course, I felt sad about it. We were looking for her all over the place and still couldn't find her. Our neighbor heard her crying and saw her on their roof. Can you imagine how she survived that three days of not eating and drinking? Poor cat! We immediately took extra care of her and monitored her until she was well.
Bambi is a spoiled cat --- you can tell just looking at her photo. This was my cousin's mini-pool that my mom bought her and Bambi liked it. There were times that she would sleep in my parent's room and they would be surprised that Bambi is already sleeping in the middle of them. Hahaha.
I took these photos when I was sitting in our little garden and Bambi was in front of me. You can literally make a meme out of her. Hahahaha. She's just too adorable sometimes and annoying also. Hahaha.
Look at her. Hahahahaha. I just can't laugh at it. She looks so confused about where she was looking at.
Bambi always enters our room through the windows. We would just be surprised in the middle of the night about the sounds that she's making because of her jumping. She looks like an amazon here.
Our first Christmas together. I am so happy that I get to celebrate Christmas with her. Indeed she is a blessing to our lives.
Bambi gave us three little ones: Scar, Iddie, and the one in the photo is Ernie. It was a handful monitoring her. I know she got stressed because she kept on moving to places. She even tried to put Ernie in the cabinet! Hahaha.
It was a good year with you, Bambi. I hope I get to enjoy creating more memories with you in the future. You are my first love and you changed my life. Thank you for always being there for me when I'm sad.
Just like this photo of you, we will continue living and strive hard to always get out of bed even in the times that we don't want to. You are one in a million, Bambi. I wouldn't want to replace you.
I know at the very first time that I saw you that you weren't half of a Persian cat but it didn't matter at all. What matters the most is the unconditional love that I can give you.
I am taking this opportunity to promote adoption animals that need help. 150 dogs at Mary's Fur Sanctuary have literally nothing to eat and if we could just help them, it would be a big help for extending the lives of these precious animals.
Again, as much as possible, #adoptdon'tshop. Precious lives are waiting for them to get adopted and would want to give you their love as well.
Author's Note:
Thank you for reading this! May this inspire you to be a better fur parent and also raise awareness about the lives of these animals.

Today Hits Different
Today hits different. As usual, I do my daily routines. But today was different because I woke up earlier than my alarm and I became so productive.
I was too lazy to go out of bed to the point that I was forcing my eyes to close even my body is already wide awake. Minutes of contemplating whether to get out of bed and I finally gave in. Mom told me that we will be doing something but I was already occupied during the morning. I finished transcribing my notes and checking the university website if there is an activity that is due.
Hours later, Mom kept telling me to check out the clothes that she found on the boxes of my grandfather. Initially, I wasn't interested because I was doing my notes but she kept insisting on me to take a look at it. After I was finished with the first handout, I immediately took a look at it and saw the clothes. Those are my sizes and all of it was branded --- Old Navy, Armani Exchange, Levi's, Banana Republic, etc.
I ate lunch first before proceeding on further checking out the clothes. After that, I helped Mom to sort out the clothes and to my surprise, there are still a lot of clothes that fit me. I was even shocked when I saw the pants there --- there are corduroy pants and even corduroy jackets.
I mentioned that it was my grandfather's clothes. Those boxes were stocked in the old house for over a decade and since then, no one has opened them. So, today was the first time in a while that my grandfather's things saw the light. LoL. He has so many clothes because he once lived and work in the US. He stayed there for quite some time.
As I was exploring the boxes, I saw his pictures and some of our relatives. I could say that he was handsome in his younger years. He was a very fine man.
There are school supplies that were in the boxes and I checked every page of the notebook if it was used or not. This one notebook that caught my attention has two occupied pages that served as a diary/ journal of my grandfather. Since I was being nosy, I read it.
He wrote it on the 27th of April year 2009 at 3:05 midnight. I'll try to tell you what's in his journal. He told his story about why he moved back here to the Philippines. It was because of his Mom. He wanted to personally take care of her. Although he had doubts about his decisions, he was left with no choice but to take care of his Mom since his siblings have their own families.
He knew deep in his heart that moving back to the Philippines will make his life miserable. And so it did turn out that way. He was fully aware of the consequences of moving back and relying on his sister for his financial needs.
What made me cry inside was when he said that by writing his thoughts, the lingering doubt would subside but he also knew that it will not alleviate his situation. The writing was the best way to let out the things that he cannot say to his family.
He wrote it as if he was talking to someone. I can tell that we have the same style of writing journals --- writing our thoughts and as if we were talking to someone. He then asked, "What exactly is my problem? Why is it that it bothers me so much that I am very depressed right now? I'm not confused yet I am worrying a lot "
He was worried about his future. He knew that time would come that his Mom would pass away and he will be left behind and got nothing. His main problem at that time was money, he kept thinking of it. He was already accepting the fact that he can no longer go back to the US because he promised his self that he will personally take care of his Mom. Even though his Visa was about to expire in July that year, he still couldn't afford the plane ticket. The only person that can help him was also short in money --- his sister.
Reading all that two-page journal gave me a chance to know him better. Growing up we were told that we have a grandfather that was addicted to drugs before and the only thing that they can only tell us was that. That miserable life that he wrote in his journal became true.
I met him 3 years ago when I went to Makati and stayed there for a while. He was okay. He doesn't live there, he just stays there because of my baby cousin Lucas. He's the one taking care of him.
Kalibo, Aklan became his home when his mom passed away. That's why we never got the chance to see him while we were growing up.
I felt bad for him and myself for the times that I just knew what he has gone through for all those years. He was a kind, loving son and a sibling, a great uncle, and a great grandfather.
There was this running thought in my mind that if time will come, who would sacrifice the life that we have to take care of our parents?
Me being nosily paved the way to learn more about him. And that's why today hits different.
Even before, depression has already existed. It is so hard for a man to speak up about his problems and lingering thoughts because he doesn't want to be labeled as soft and weak.
If ever you encountered a situation where your guy friend needs help, don't hesitate to reach out to them. It matters.
To all the guys who have been keeping all of their problems to themselves, know that you can always have someone to talk to. It's okay if you're not ready yet. Your feelings are valid. You are loved. You are appreciated.
Crying doesn't make you look weak or soft, it makes you human.
In celebrating the #WorldMentalHealthDay, may we lend an ear to someone in need? Let us stop the stigma. Together, we can make it happen.

It's Always The Firsts
It's always the firsts that we can't beat. The firsts that we are hesitant to try. And the firsts that always stay in our mind that we cannot forget. Anyway, I'm writing this blog to share my first in working out.
Today marks my first week of working out. To be honest I was feeling lazy to set up my yoga mat and stretch but I still managed to work out. And yes! I beat my one-week curse. I've always wanted to have a healthy toned body with abs showing and large pectoral muscles but I always end up feeling lazy and demotivated in the middle of working out.
I am so glad that it has been a week since I started working out again. I may have body aches after working out but it will always be fulfilling because I am doing this for myself and my dream for my body --- toned body with abs showing.
You know, we should achieve the dreams that we want in life especially when it is possible. Because it is is only us that can make it happen.
In this one week of working out, I allowed myself to heal, and working out has been a big part of it. I treated working out as a coping mechanism that helped me to get out of bed even in the coziest "bedweather". Breaking my one week cursed of working out means that I can continue my progress for the second week and break the second-week barrier.
Step-by-step I will regain control of my life and how my body works. And while I'm writing this and sitting on my yoga mat, I realized that it's not always mind over body, sometimes it's also body over mind. Why? After doing all the drills and exercises, it is refreshing to my mind and body.
I didn't put check marks on the days that are my active rest days. I eat as much as I want during my active rest days because it's a way of treating myself and one or two days of eating what I want wouldn't ruin what I've been working on.
Do not be too harsh on yourself in your workout journey. Do not deprive yourself of the food that you want to eat. You can't get fat in one day of eating your favorite foods.
Being missing in action for about a week now, I allowed myself to heal. I take small steps in thriving every day and continuously Testing The Waters. I have high hopes for this hobby of mine that it will eventually get me back to the way I was and get back on track for my focus on studying and writing articles and blogs. https://read.cash/@WanderingMedStudent/testing-the-waters-cdae8811

FREE Health Consultation And Medical Assistance In The Philippines
They say, "Health is Wealth" and that is totally right. Health should always come first. The Philippines is a third-world country where poor governance exists. Where Corrupt politicians and agencies pocketed the money for their own agendas. The perfect example of this is the 15 Billion Pesos stolen by PhilHealth Execs in fraud schemes.
Filipinos should not be deprived of their needs and health. I am saddened by the fact that there are people who self-diagnosed, resort to the albularyo, purchase skincare products that are not prescribed by dermatologists, borrow doctor's prescriptions from other patients, and etcetera. They do all of these things for one reason --- their health. They resort to the cheapest and convenient ways to treat their illnesses.
I have curated some of the institutions that offer free health consultations for your mental health, skin problems, and HIV/ STI test.
Mental Health Matters PH
Mental Health Matters PH is founded by Kylie Versoza, a mental health advocate, and 2016 Miss International Winner. Kylie partnered with KonsultaMD to provide mental health support and awareness to the Filipino people.
How to avail KonsultaMD's free mental health consultation?
Download Konsulta.md app
To use free mental health and counseling, use code: KMDKYLIE
You can also follow Mental Health Matters PH social media accounts:

**FREE Teledermatology Service**
The institutions that are included in the photo are the Philippine Dermatological Society Accredited Institutions that give free teledermatology services.
How to avail their free teledermatology services?
1. Just search pds.org.ph, choose the first one that appeared on your screen. https://pds-org-ph.translate.goog/pds-institutions-providing-free-teledermatology-service/?_x_tr_sl=ja&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=en&_x_tr_pto=nui,sc
2. Upon clicking you will see the different institution's information. Choose any and you may contact them via their Facebook page, telephone numbers, and emails.
3. There is a form that you are going to fill up and after that, send DONE.
4. Send the photo of your skin problems and stay online until one of the residents contacts you.
Also, do not post your conversation between you and the Doctor. And never share your doctor's prescription with anyone. Since these are teledermatology institutions, they will be asking you if it's okay to record your skin case/ problem for their learnings. You can also decline and still proceed with the consultation. You will also be needing to provide your parent's name if you are a minor/ below 18 years old.

Final Thoughts...
Please have patience and be kind while talking to the Doctors during the consultations. Remember that these are just FREE services. Anyway, these are just easy to avail as long as you follow the instructions. Most of them are self-explanatory.
Author's Note:
I have been wanting to write this topic for so long but I have to be patient because I need to curate institutions that give free services. Know that this topic is very close to my heart since I also experienced self-diagnosing and purchasing products that weren't really helpful for my skin problems.
Let us all participate to #stopthestigma and help one another. Get tested and please get yourself vaccinated. Avoid self-diagnosing and start seeking professional advice.
Fin.

Testing The Waters
Have you ever heard of the idiomatic phrase "**Testing the waters**"? It means to explore and have the courage to try something a little by little. My life now is like testing the waters, I am slowly trying to try out the things that I loved to do. Getting out of bed early, working out, jogging, and sleeping early are the things that I missed out on. It's hard especially when you don't have the discipline to do it.
Getting out of bed for me is like carrying a sack of rice on my back in the morning. When the bed feels like a magnetic field that doesn't want me to get up. It's difficult. I've been feeling down for the past weeks and all I ever do is stay up all night where the people around me are already asleep while on the other hand I do is to scroll on my social media accounts and laugh at the videos see online. This has been my coping mechanism ever since this pandemic started. Sometimes I even get to see the sunrise with my eyes wide awake.
Jogging was fun. It was a refreshing activity where I am actually able to witness the sunrise in its natural form and having a decent sleep. I remember running 7 km every day and all I do now is to run away from my academic responsibilities and ran out of money.
Aside from jogging which is a form of exercise, I also do work out and do compound movements. I remember being addicted to it that I wouldn't let a single day pass without working out. I became the unmotivated fat b1tch who can't finish a single movement without being frustrated in the middle of exercising. I am just an unhealthy human being thriving and looking for his worth.
I told myself that I will try my very best to get out of bed early in the morning, work out, jog, and even go to sleep early. I know promising myself that I would do all of these is impossible especially in the environment that I live in. But I will try to remind myself every day that I can and that all things are going to be possible for me.
Final thoughts...
Life is like testing the waters while taking a bath in the morning, we don't want or sometimes we get hesitant to take a bath when the water is too cold. And what we do is to adjust the water by putting hot water in it or adjust the water heater until we can handle it. There's no need to rush. Because if you put plenty of hot water in your tub, you are going to get burned. Just when you get burned out in life. Take it easy.

Hola! I've been a pageant fan since Rachel Peters's era but all throughout my high school life, my friends and some family members have been always discussing beauty pageants that's why since then, I already have an idea of how it works.
Tomorrow, the 30th of September will be the coronation night of Miss Universe Philippines. But before the pageant should even be held, I will be answering preliminary questions that were asked to the candidates.
**What's the most important lesson you learned in the past week?**
The most important lesson I've learned last week was that it's okay to pause for a while when you get tired of understanding how life works. That having a life pause can heal you even if you are just going to be silent about what you are going through in life.
**If beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, in whose eyes are you beautiful?**
I am most beautiful in my own eyes. What makes me beautiful is that I have witnessed the darkest and brightest moments of my life wherein some of these moments I felt that I was ugly, I don't fit in with the standards. And that no one can ever dictate my beauty aside from me because I know myself and beauty is not just about the physical appearance, beauty is surpassing the standard norm that the physical appearance always stands out, it is also what's inside of the person.
If we truly learn from our mistakes, would you advise a young person to keep doing them?
Committing mistakes is part of our life, it is what makes us human. Mistakes are things that can't be avoided but can be our life teachers for us to learn from our experiences. I wouldn't advise a young person to commit mistakes rather I would tell them that it's okay to have mistakes and that the most important is we learn from them and it would help us to become the better version of ourselves.
If you have the power to do ONE of the following: Eliminate poverty and hunger, A government with no graft & corruption, or solve all environmental problems, which would you choose?
I believe that poverty, hunger, and environmental problems exist because of a government with graft and corruption. People that are in positions that abused their powers for their own agendas. If I were to have the power to do one of the three choices, it would be to have a government with no graft and corruption. I encourage everyone to register and choose the right leader that listens to the outcry of its countrymen! It's never too late to have a change. Your vote will make a great impact!
If you were to add to cart one item to buy on Lazada to send to all Filipinos to help inspire them during this time, what would it be and why?
I am going to add to cart tons of Journals and send them to all Filipinos. We have experienced the worst that the pandemic brought us and we all have the silent battles that we are continuously fighting. One thing that I've experienced is not talking to someone about what I am going through. A journal will serve as a person that we can talk to, where we write about our experiences, rants, and express our emotions. And when all of it subsides, they can burn the page and move on with their lives.
These are my top 10 candidates that I am rooting for:
Manila
Cebu City
Albay
Laguna
Pangasinan
Misamis Oriental
Siargao Island
Angeles City
Cavite
Cebu Province
Fun fact!
Dianne Necio which was crowned as Binibining Pilipinas-International in 2011 is my kababayan! We live in the same town and barangay.
We may be different in our favorite candidates and it's okay. Comment down below your bet for this year's Miss Universe Philippines. Also, if this is the real Q and A, my answers may or may not have turned out to be like this.

We encounter uncertainties and What-Ifs in life. Sometimes we are hesitant to do or not doing things because we worry too much about the outcome. It can possibly be because of the traumas that some events gave us.
Thanks to this new trend What If challenge, it saved my ass of producing today's content for you guys. I got my 10 What If questions from this link. Okay, without further ado, let's get started! https://www.questionsrant.com/what-if-questions/
**#1 What if you had to give up one thing between watching television or surfing the internet?**
I would give up watching television over surfing the internet. Why? Because I stopped watching television two or three years ago and most of the entertainment can be found on the internet. You can find vast entertainment content on the internet compared to the television.
**#2** **What if you owned a bar? What would it be popular for?**
I love this question. If I would own a bar, the one thing that it would be popular for is its food and services. I would put up sleeping pods in my bar just like the ones that are in Japan and I think it is the most practical way if one of your "kainuman" is already drunk and the rest of the group still wants to continue drinking. At least there will be no hassle in taking care of that drunk kainuman if he/she would go to sleep already.
**#3 What if money was never an issue in your life? Where would you be at this exact moment?**
I will probably be traveling and participating in different activities to save mother nature and help in relief goods operations in the poorest areas. Also, I would want to go to different places in the world and see for myself the animals in their natural habitats.
**#4 What if you had the opportunity to relive the past three years? What would you do differently?**
I wish I was diligent enough to study for my college entrance exams and was knowledgeable that I should've taken entrance exams in different universities here in the country. Because I never took an exam out of Bicol Region. The only vet school that I took the exam was in my present university. I still have that What If question in me, "What if I took the UPCAT? Was there a possibility that I would be accepted?" That is one of my What Ifs for not taking entrance exams out of my region.
**#5 What if you lost the ability to see all colors apart from one? Which one would it be?**
I find this question difficult because I like two colors, yellow and green. Perhaps between these two is the only color that I would see for the rest of my life, here is my explanation. Yellow because it is my favorite color and it brightens up my day making me happy. Green because it relaxes my eyes.
**#6 What if you could live anywhere in the world for as long as you wanted? Where would you live?**
There is no particular location but there is a home setting that I would want to live. I would want to live in a place that is cozy, not crowded, and peaceful. I wouldn't want people seeing me from the outside of my house. I imagine that I would just wear boxers even brief inside my house and just feeling sexy with my body while drinking a glass of wine.
**#7 What if you had only 24 hours to live?**
I would make the most out of my time by eating the things I want, crossing out the things on my bucket list, and going to places. This is so stupid but I would want to be love in my remaining hours. I would want to feel love before I die.
**#8 What if you could choose how and when you were going to die?**
I want a peaceful death maybe while I am sleeping or if my loved ones have already said their goodbyes.
**#9 What if all turtles and tortoises didn’t have shells? Would they be naked or just homeless?**
I giggled when I read this question. I literally imagined it. Hahahahaha. They would be homeless and looked like they were naked because the carapace/shell serves as their house and at the same time as a piece of clothing.
**#10 What if staying naked was normal and wearing clothes was considered nudity?**
Then it's going to be fun. Personally, I am not a fan of wearing clothes and sometimes underwear because it is uncomfortable and considering the Philippine weather that is so hot and humid.
There you go. I had fun answering these What If questions. Uhm. I don't know who initiated this trend but if someone of you knows, please interact in the comment section.

EP 16 & 17
As I was writing this storytime article, I am currently munching on puto seko and enjoying the refreshment from my nighttime shower. Earlier this afternoon as I was laying in bed, I was thinking of what to write and I remembered when I was reviewing for my exam, there were these episodes of Grey's Anatomy that really caught my attention--- it has similarities that happened to me before.
**Disclaimer:** *The following information about Grey's Anatomy might spoil you.*
In season 2 Episode 16 & 17 of Grey's Anatomy, Meredith woke up and have this feeling that she is going to die. She doesn't even want to go to work that day but her colleagues George, Izzie, and Christina convinced her to do so. During her duty, she wasn't her best self. The morbid feeling was still lingering on her mind. And now come to this ambulance which has a patient with a missile stuck inside his chest and the hand of the young paramedics was the thing that was stopping the missile to explode. There was a lot of commotion that was happening at that time as the young paramedics were worried for her life. Because who wouldn't be worried if an arm is stuck on someone's chest which stopping the missile from exploding?
The paramedics arrived and were assessing how to safely remove the missile without making it explode. There were a lot of things to consider at that time, the ongoing brain operation that Dr. Shepherd was doing in the other operating room and the patients in the hospital. And the unexpected things happened, the paramedics removed her hand from the body and ran away, and you know what? Meredith Grey put her hand on the body putting herself in danger. To cut the story short, the missile was removed from the body and Meredith handed it safely to the bomb squad member. Unfortunately, while the bomb squad member was walking towards his other member, the missile exploded.
Here's what happened to me that has significance on the two episodes.
So, why am I even telling this? I have a similar experience as Meredith. First year first semester of college when I felt that I was dying. The occurrence of it was so sudden. I just woke feeling so empty and felt that I was going to die. I wasn't having any health problems at that time. It was just a feeling of emptiness and a cycle of going back and forth from school to home. I didn't tell anyone about what I felt. There was this time that I even thought of writing my letters for my loved ones.
Now, this was the missile part. I was walking home at that time and I always pass the police station. I can still remember it, it was a sunny morning. The moment that I was in front of the police station was the moment that I heard a loud gunshot sound. I stopped for a minute and all I ever think was to be thankful that I was still alive. I never got the chance to confirm if the trigger of the gun was unintentionally pulled or it was something that caused a loud sound.
I want to remind you that it's okay to not be okay. What's not okay is to suffer in silence. Don't hesitate to reach out to your loved ones. I know there will always be one person who is willing to lend their ears for you.
There are times in your life where you can't always act tough. Seeking help is not a weak image hence it portrays that you are a courageous person who is willing to seek help from others.
Let me finish this blog by asking you this question. **What are you going to do if this is your last day?**
Author's note:
This is actually the second time that I am going to share this. The last time that I talked about this was with my three friends. If you ever finish reading this, thank you! This was a piece of my life and it took me a lot of courage to open about this topic again.

A Decision They Will Never Understand
Posing. Walking the runway. Wearing fashionable clothes. That's the life I gave up to protect my inner peace and mental health.
Modeling was my job for almost 4 years before I finally decided to quit. I was moving around different cities of New York, Milan, Paris, and even here in the Philippines. Not to brag but I was a walking paycheck that time. I earn from every pose, walk, and wearing fashionable clothes.
I was being chased by cameras everywhere --- every minute of the day. Agencies we're eyeing for me to sign a contract for them. Well, I wouldn't be surprised as I've worked with different brands locally and internationally, some of which are high-end brands.
Why did I quit? Modeling is a profession in which many see it as "**the life**" where you don't have to work so hard as other people. **It was toxic**. Modeling was a toxic industry. They would want you to go to different shows in just a 30-minute break and they expected us to be ready. There were even times that we encountered sexual harassment by photographers, designers, and even our managers.
My family didn't understand why I quit. They said that I was already earning 6 digits per fashion show I attend and sacrificing all of it just to study veterinary medicine. The walking paycheck who can provide for his family became a burden. Even the construction of our house was postponed because there was no budget.
In the early weeks/ months of studying veterinary medicine, I struggled a lot. My body drastically changed. From having a toned body to being skinny. I suffered from Body dysmorphophobia because of it. I had to adapt to a new life that I'm going to live. From working out to have a toned body to studying until midnight for an exam.
Sometimes I think, what if I didn't quit modeling? What if I would give it a second chance? I'm struggling with my studies and sometimes I just want to quit. In modeling, I get paid even if it's hard. But in med school? I get tons of workloads, being stressed out, and not taking care of myself is the return.
I know this kind of thinking is just temporary. My life and sacrifices would pay off when I finish studying for a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. All of the things that Modelling has offered me will be offered to me in a different way of being a veterinarian someday. From walking on the runway to walking inside the clinics and medical missions.
Final thoughts...
Not a lot of people get to decide for themselves. Sometimes they are governed by the people around them. It sucks but we can't just leave a situation wherein we are not fully capable of providing for ourselves. Let me remind you that whatever your decision will be, it should always be towards your self-growth/self-improvement. Don't let other people bring you down.
No one has the right to touch someone if they weren't permitted them. Their body, their life. Indeed, models get sexually harassed in their works. I have been sexually harassed by a workmate before and it was very unpleasant. Crossing personal boundaries and not respecting what other people might feel. If you have gone through this, I hope your wound is healing well. *Hugs*
Also, I just want to say that this is just a dream. I am finally awake. Hahaha. Though some of the events that I mentioned are true about me. Conclude to yourself whether what is true and just made-ups. I am also serious in some of the areas that I mentioned.

Malabon Zoo Needs Our Help Too
With the closing of schools, churches, malls, offices, and resorts, it is also the temporary closing of amusement parks such as Zoos--- it is because of the threat of COVID-19. These establishments were forced to shut down for the containment of the virus.
Malabon Zoo is located in Malabon, Metro Manila. It is home to different kinds of animals such as mammals, reptiles, aquatic species, avian species and etc. This zoo, aquarium, and botanical garden are owned by Manny Tiangco.
Philippine Brown Deer is one of the animals that live in the Zoo. Its population in the wild is fast decreasing due to deforestation and hunting. Supporting the zoo to feed its animals will help in the conservation of the species. If the time would come that the Philippine Brown Deer is not already present in the wild, Malabon Zoo will have a big impact on reintroducing the species to its natural habitat.
As mentioned above, the zoo is also a botanical garden. Metro Manila has been conquered by skyscrapers/ buildings and the greeneries have lessened throughout the years as the population grew. Malabon Zoo as a botanical garden offers a lot of plants that cannot be seen anymore in parts of the metro. The good thing is that the kids and also the adults can still have the privilege to learn about different plants just by paying a visit to the zoo. Not now, when the pandemic is over.
Manny Tangco is doing his best to provide for the animals even if the zoo has been shuttered for about two years now. He has been seeking help from the public for their kind donations to feed the animals.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rav5AtwE-fA
Kuya Kim Atienza a Filipino television host, actor, weather anchor, and now a YouTuber, has recently posted a vlog about the current situation of the zoo. The purpose of the vlog is to show the condition of the animals and to tell the people about what is the current situation of the Zoo.
For sure you have seen posts online circulating about what Malabon Zoo is going through ---the Zoo is in need of help. Every day, they spent thousands of money to buy food for the animals and aside from that, there are also staffs that need to be paid. Right now, the budget of the zoo is being sustained by the donations and initiatives of the people but until when?
The sad news about the Malabon Zoo should reach a lot of people that have the ability and potential to help. Animals are going to die if they are not going to be feed properly.
If you're going to say that the animals should just be freed in the wild, then that's a difficult process. These animals have been born in captivity and some are surrendered because of their disabilities --- they are already dependent on humans. Bringing them back to the wild is possible but it's going to be a long way. The animals need to learn to hunt and protect themselves from predators. Unlike in the Zoo that they have a safe space and they are being fed. Animals that are not able to comply with their necessities will just die in the wild.
**Final thoughts...**
There is still hope for these animals if we are going to direct our attention to helping the zoo. There is still hope for the children that live around Metro Manila to witness these amazing animals and have a chance to look at different animals. Who knows, the kid that might visit Malabon Zoo someday might be a Veterinarian, Biologist, Animal Vodcate and etcetera.
I'm not really a fan of seeing animals in enclosures, I want to see them in their natural habitats. But we cannot do something about it now unless the owner wants to rehabilitate and release them in the wild. What we can do now is to raise awareness that there are animals that are in need. Also, it's best to stay home so that our lives can go back to normal and eventually, we can visit theme parks.

Finding Out The Right Time And Right Place
Have you ever been told about the phrase, "Maybe you're finding love in the wrong place and at the wrong time"? But what exactly is the right time and where exactly is the right place? It was never taught in schools and churches, right? Even our parents don't discuss this topic with us.
I've been wandering around the internet for a long time and I've seen people ask and find love in many different ways. I also encountered this kind of acts person. Sometimes they use apps to go on a date with someone or just simply chat with each other online.
But, have you thought of what if now is the right time but you were not yet ready. It's always the right time. It's just that, it's going to be up for us on how we deal with it. We meet people along the way, we get infatuated and sometimes fall in love. But what if this doesn't end well?
Why do we seek a romantic relationship?
If your age is around late adolescents, then you might be starting to have a crush or wanting to be in a romantic relationship. But, what is the reason behind this? Let's assess it.
The first reason that we can look is that we get pressured by our peers, the people around us. Especially when some or majority of our friends has or is already in a romantic relationship. Others feel left out and think that the only reason to catch up is to be in a relationship. But it doesn't make sense at all. Love should make you feel special and not included in a particular group. Love constitutes growth.
The second reason, you just want to taste the feeling of love. To try and experience it. Sometimes we feel that we want to love but the real thing is that we are just in love with the idea of being in a relationship. I've felt this way a lot of times but I assessed myself if I am really ready, and I'm not.
We have different timetables and one day, you will get the love that you deserve. No need to rush. Take care of yourself and the right people will come into your life.
Final Thoughts...
To seek love is a human thing to do. But seeking love at the wrong time and places can take you to places that are going to be the reason why you became lost. There might be several reasons why you seek love, it can be validation or the love you did not receive when you are still a child.
Love is like respect, it can always be gained but should not be imposed. You cannot make people love and adore you. And pretending to be someone that you are not just to be loved is not going to help you. Listen, if you keep pretending to be someone just to fit in, then who's going to be you? Sometimes we force ourselves to become other people because we feel like people are going to like us based on how we are perceived as good by others, but it's not.
One should realize that there is no need to copy others, that remaining authentic is an asset nowadays. That he/she can be loved just the way they are.

Multilingual Problems
Hi there! I would like to share my experiences of being multilingual. Many of you already know that I am from the Philippines especially from Bicol Region. With that, Filipino and Tagalog were not my mother tongue--- Polangui Dialect is my mother tongue, my hometown's dialect. Aside from being able to speak and understand my hometown's dialect, I also know how to speak English, Filipino, Tagalog, Bicol-Legazpi, Bicol-Naga, and a little bit of Rinconada. I can also understand some Bisaya words because some of the Bicolanos speak Bisakol.
Maybe you're wondering at this point, why are there a lot of different dialects in Bicol well in fact it's just one region? Well, it depends on the location of the Provinces. Some provinces here are located near the Quezon province and some in the Visayas or have been influenced by Visayan Culture. And some places here do not speak Bicolano words at all.
Living here in Bicol is quite difficult if you're not familiar with other dialects. Literally, every dialect changes in every town. I'll give an example.
In Filipino we say, "Tara na!'
In Bicol Dialects, "Mus na!", "Amus na!", "Mari na!"
In Filipino we say, "Mag saing ka na"
In Bicol Dialcets we say it as "Mag sapna ka na" "MAg sugang nayka"
Even the egg has a lot of translations here.
"Itlog" in Filipino
"Sugok" "Bunay" "Salag" in Bicol Dialects.
It's confusing, right? There's more that I have encountered when speaking with other Bicolanos. One time my board mate came to see me in my room and she saw some ants on the wall. And she said, "Girl, andaming tanga!" I was so confused. I thought that she was calling me noob/stupid but, tanga translates to Ants in English. Which is different from my mother tongue. We call ants in my local dialect "sirum". We ended up laughing at each other. Hahahaha. I was so grateful to her because she's really the one who taught me the Bicolano words that I am not familiar with.
Aside from the different terms that I have encountered, there are also different accents! Yes, we do have different accents here. Hahahaha. Some sound like they are sweet, some sounds like they are not buying your statement, and some sound angry. Hahaha. Just like me, my friends would always tell me that I sound angry whenever I speak. Well, that's the tone that I'm used to. But when I try to speak their dialects, I felt cringed. They would always refer to my dialect as Alien Language because it's different from others. It's not close to the words that other towns here speak.
One time I was in Cavite and I was asked to buy candies in the sari-sari store. Since I'm not used to speaking Tagalog, I'm used to speaking Tagalog with a Bicolano accent. I literally said that I was going to buy 10 candies but the store owner didn't allow me to buy from her store. I think she misheard my "sampu po" to "isa po".
Since I've always been interested in learning other dialects, I challenged my college bestie that we should speak in our own dialects when conversing with each other. It was chaotic! We didn't understand anything about what we say to each other. We ended up speaking Tagalog. Hahahaha.
There are also good things about being multilingual, (1) my brain automatically understands what the person I was talking to tells me, (2) I can have privacy since other people can't understand my dialect--- I can easily shift to another dialect, and (3) people will not able to make fool about me.
*Here's an explanation about the number 3 good thing being multilingual. I've experienced being charged a high rate for a tricycle ride when I went to Legazpi City. Of course, the driver knew that I was speaking Tagalog and he decided to make a huge profit out of his service.*
There are also instances that I mixed different languages/dialects. Sometimes I cannot automatically adjust my dialect. But learning and understanding different languages/dialects are always so much fun!
Anyway, these are my final thoughts... being multilingual comes with pros and cons if you used it responsibly. You can always resort to speaking in Tagalog or any dialect/language that the person you are talking to can understand. But, it's best if you learn the language/dialect that they speak.

A Day As A Veterinary Medicine Student
Since the Inter-Agency Task Force has not yet granted limited face-to-face classes to our course Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, we are stuck by doing our laboratory activities at home. I'm sharing this happening today as a blog to give you guys an idea of what we do as medical students.
As you may have an idea of what medical students do---read and memorize the information that is on the books, there is so much more to that. We medical students apply our knowledge by doing practical exams and sometimes moving exams.
Today, I had a laboratory exercise wherein I identified the Internal and External features and functions of the chicken. I woke up before 8 am to prepare the chicken and removed the feathers. Thankfully my grandmother was present earlier and I ask her to kill the chicken while I was holding it. I couldn't,t to it myself because I was showing sympathy to it.
We were the second group to perform the laboratory exercise and there were unexpected things that happen. My professor was naturally nice and she makes us feel comfortable by asking us questions not related to the activity before she starts to asks the harder questions.
It was my turn when she was asking me where I got my chicken and I told her that it was from our backyard farm. She even asked me if the people in our home knew about what I am going to do with the chicken and I said yes. Then suddenly my brother came and saw me showing off the chicken in front of the camera and said, "Pot* ka pinapainggit mo na naman yang manok" "You're bragging the chicken again to them." It was the end of my career. Hahahaha. I panicked and we were just laughing about it. I just told my professor that we should just consider it as a commercial.
Kidding aside she first started to ask me about the external features, it was so hard. She asked me to point out a part of the chicken and give off its function and specify what bone is it. My dumb-ass mind pointed out the wrong part of the chicken. I was instructed to point out the leg but, the part that I pointed out was the shank. It wasn't entirely my fault, it was the image that I studied the day after the activity. The labeling was wrong. Though I also have an error by not double-checking the sources. I just printed it out because I find the chicken beautiful and I ignored the one that was black and white but has the correct information. I learned my lesson that it's not always about the aesthetically pleasing resources but it's about the reliable resources.
The last part that she instructed me to point out was the internal organs. It was difficult especially on the part of the intestines because they all look the same. Also, there were a lot of fats surrounding the organs making it way harder for the organs to locate. I had mistakes and other answers that I didn't know about. Thank God our professor was so considerate enough to give me a different question. She discussed our wrong answers and give the right ones before ending the google meet.
Nokma, the Katniss Everdeen for me today is now resting in peace and taste so good. My Dad cooked her for our viand. Lol.
Final thoughts...
It would be nice taking Poultry subject in the old normal set-up. I could imagine myself going to poultry farms studying the chicken in their enclosures and weighing their eggs. I am so tired of shoving my specimen in front of the camera.
How I wish that the IATF would consider treating my course as "Essential" like how they treat other medical courses. This online class set-up is not going to work for a med student like me.

Hello! Let me share what happened today. Imagine this as an "A day in the life" content of a YouTuber.
Today has been a breather for me, a day for unwinding and prioritizing myself and my health. Although it's my Father's birthday today, I still opted to live the house for my follow-up check-up and besides, we're not going to sing the Happy Birthday Song or greet him the whole day. Lol.
I started preparing at around 10:30 am and took a bath. After that, I ate lunch and prepare the things that I am going to bring with me. I hurried when my Aunt was already on her motorcycle and keep shouting at me that I should move fast. I left the house without taking a final look at myself. My outfit was so simple yet comfortable, I wore a shirt and jogger pants. I also wore the rubber shoes that I purchased with the help of noise.cash.
My cousin told me that my outfit looked like I just arrived home from a sleepover. Hahaha. She's just not used to seeing me dressing simple--- I'm always overdressed.
I withdraw some money before taking the bus ride. I had $86 0r 4,300 pesos with me that I used to pay for my follow-up check-up and other purchases. Fortunately, I was able to take the 1 pm bus ride. It was an easy ride. Of course, I had my Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK) moment on the bus. There was also a light rain earlier. A perfect element for an MMK moment.
I arrived at Legazpi at around 2 pm and I was starving af!!! Though I ate before I left. I immediately went to Graceland and bought myself some hopia.
After that, I went to the skin clinic. It was just a quick check-up with Doctor Jo. He was so nice! He could be my sugar daddy. Joke. He told me that I should still have to give him a visit at the end of the month or the first week of October. We bid goodbye and brought with me the medicines that he prescribed.
Since the hopia helped me deal with my hunger, I decided first to visit Watson's where I bought some of the essentials that I have been wanting to buy. I bought a toothbrush, aloe vera gel, and betadine throat spray. I bought the throat spray because I've been having a mild cough. It's quite expensive though.
I headed to SM Legazpi City to have my proper meal. I really wanted to eat at Jollibee but there were a lot of people at that time. So, I ended up eating at Bonchon. Since my friend told me, "Why would you eat at a fast-food that is also available in our home tome?" She had a point.
I ordered one piece of soy garlic chicken with one rice and Japchae. The chicken was so good and the Japchae was the complete opposite --- it was overcooked. Oh well, at least there was a guy in front of me while I was seated beside a couple. Hahaha. I stayed there for a while to digest my food and just enjoying my company. I don't really have an issue with eating by myself. It's my self-practice. After a couple of minutes of just sitting there, I decided to stroll around and do some window shopping.
Okay, don't get mad at me. I wasn't successful with my wisdom shopping, I bought 3 pairs of socks which cost me 230 pesos. **It was on sale. The original price of it was 379.75 pesos.**
I just kept strolling around and promised myself that it was going to be my last purchase. I even went to Miniso and Toby's sports and was able to stop myself from purchasing.
With all the walking around and window shopping, I decided to leave the mall. I usually go to the comfort room first before taking the bus ride. And this was so unexpected and traumatizing(?). I saw two guys doing something suspicious, with my two round eyes. Like you know the thing. I think I'm not supposed to tell this but I'm going to include this since it was the plot twist of my Self-care Friday. Here's the most nakakalokang part, the other guy was headed to my destination. He lives in the neighboring town and he sat beside me. Imagine, I was with him the whole freaking time before he finally took off the bus. Hays.
I arrived home at around 6 pm and took a bath and after that, I computed my total bill. It was a huge amount of money but I deserve to treat myself especially this week full of academic stress and my COR!!!
Anyway, if you want something that you've been eyeing for so long, then, go buy it. As long as it will make you feel good and you can make use of it.

Wow! August was so fast! So many have happened, from setting up my #AuGOALS to achieving it. I must say that I've achieved and realized a lot last month. From continuously finding myself and getting lost in the process and getting back to my feet. Let me take a look back on my achievements and realizations.
Before I click the "Write an Article", I counted the number of articles that I wrote for last month, I wrote 12 articles! Uhm this was a lot for me.

If you've read all of these articles, thank you! By reading these, you'll notice that I shared mostly my personal experience. On how I dealt with my insecurities, Save money, my shifting story, being scared on the platform maintenance repair, and many more.
In the first half of August, I realized that I've been treating noise. cash and read. cash as my journals. I am so thankful that it helped me to keep sane. Through opening the laptop at midnight because of sudden thoughts, sharing my stories, and venting out.
I shared in my #AuGOALS that I want to achieve my $200 at the end of the month. I was able to achieve it but failed to hold it. I became impulsive in the last week of the month and I've been spending money on night outs with my friends.
One thing that I'm glad about is that I gained $100 in not less than two weeks--- I achieved it in the first two weeks of the month because of my productiveness. Looking back at it now, it amazes me that I can earn that much if I will work hard.
I don't feel bad for not being able to hold $200 this month. But it served as a lesson and a wake-up call for me to prioritize the things that do matter--- the things that are worth spending for. My noise. cash earnings are allocated for my monthly skin medications for which I will be purchasing this week and also to pay for my follow-up check-up.
I've been humbled down. I realized that I was not taking care of my health seriously. One time I promised my friends that I'll treat them a tower of cocktails when we drink again but I think it's not going to happen anymore. Treating them to cocktails is like tolerating to drink more and not take their health seriously. I just plan to treat them to dinner or a street food boodle.
I realized that I should be more purpose-driven than to be goal-driven. Why? Because assessing what I do with my goals after I achieved them should be a thing because if not, then all of my achieved goals will be set aside if I don't know their purpose in my life.
As we embark on a new month, may we leave all the bad things that happened last month and only take with us our learnings from it.
Now, what are my September Goals?
I don't have some goals that I've been planning to achieve, I just felt that I want to keep a low-key private life. To keep my goals to myself.
I think the goals that I can share with you are that I want to keep my mental health stable, be productive both on academics and in my side hustle, continue my medications, and keep fighting to what hurdles in my life may be thrown out to my way.

Must-Haves For A Boarding College Student
Let's pretend that the world is normal where classes are being held at school and that we aren't stressing out over our sh*tty internet/data connections.
Boarding life is hard when you don't have the essential things especially the ones that are in your home. Considering that we are far away from our home, we just want to bring with us the things we are going to be needing.
What are the things a boarding college student should have?
Electronic device/Gadgets
Appliances
Finance
Attitude
Let me discuss with you one-by-one these essential things based on their categories and let me share my thoughts and how they helped me.
**GADGETS** - These are essentials in studying.
These are the gadgets that a boarding college student should have:
**Cellphone/ Tablet**
A cellphone is a flexible gadget that one should have. It can be used in a lot of ways such as communicating, studying, fitness, watching movies, playing music, and many more.
**Communicating**. Being away from home we need this to communicate with our loved ones. Considering that you are away from home, this is the only way rather most convenient way of updating your loved ones about your well-being.
**Studying**. For a student who doesn't have an access to a laptop, a cellphone is the best substitute for it since there are also apps that function similar to a laptop.
Even before, chat groups are created for updates and announcements. One can communicate with other students by just sending messages. A cellphone can also be used in photography class, filming school videos, as a substitute for a laptop, and submitting files over the net.
**Fitness**. Personally, I used my phone to watch fitness videos on the internet that helps me during a workout. I also used it to play music while I go for an afternoon jog.
**Watching movies/ playing music.** A cellphone is the handiest gadget that one can use to watch movies and play music. One great way of releasing stress and chilling out is by watching movies and listening to music. It separates us from the busy reality.
**Laptop**
A laptop is a gadget that not everyone can own because of their life status. I don't own any and I only borrow from my cousin throughout the time that we were still boarding.
I usually use a laptop whenever I am doing academic writings, editing videos, and printings. By far, it wasn't essential but it is a need for some reason.
**Printer**
As a med student, having a printer is a blessing. It saved me a lot of money since I have a lot of handouts that I print out. And it saves a lot of time than going outside of the dorm just to have a handout printed. I shared the printer with my cousin, he was the one who owns it and I provide the inks. It's super helpful and a money saver since computer shops tend to put a higher price for every page.
**APPLIANCES**
**Electric Kettle**
This is one of the appliances that we used daily. It can be used in a lot of ways and not just heating water in it. Some of us used this to cooked noodles and sometimes boil some eggs. hahaha. But as for me, I just purely use it to heat water. I was even asked by my board mate how I make pancit canton, I told him that I just put water in a bowl and put the noodles and then cover it with a plate. I just have to use what is available. HAHAHAHA.
**Rice Cooker**
This is also one of the versatile appliances out there. It can be used to cook rice, boil eggs, fry foods, and even cook ginataan in it. My board mate tried it and just imagine her electric bill after that. HAHAHAHA. Kidding aside, it saved me a lot of money since I cook my own rice rather than buying one cup of rice for 10 pesos. Having a rice cooker means no dieting to rice.
Quick story. I went with my board mates to McDonald's and we brought our rice cooker. The look on my cousin's face was hilarious hahaha. He was too embarrassed. There were even ants on the rice. Good thing is that we weren't scolded by the staff. HAHAHAHAHA.
**Oven Toaster**
I am a picky eater and I don't eat leftover foods that aren't hot. It just feels different. Fortunately, we have a spare oven toaster here in the house that I brought with me. We didn't have to worry about our snacks, viands, and re-heating our leftover foods because of this. I even tried cooking egg and corned beef using it but, the egg was dried up and the corned beef turned out good.
**Finance**
**ATM CARD/E-Wallet**
I suggest that you should have your personal bank card or set up an E-wallet. Why? It is very convenient especially that you're away from home. Before I went to college my mom assured me that I already have a bank card so that she can just send me money through bank transfer. It was helpful because there were times that I wasn't able to go home for weeks.
Bank Card or E-Wallet? I prefer bank cards over E-Wallet because there are ATMs all over the malls, schools, and other establishments rather than E-wallet cashout centers.
Lastly...**Attitude**
Having a good attitude is a must, it will lead to having a good relationship with your landlady and board mates. They are the ones that you can lean on when something bad happens. They are going to be your family, your alarm clock when you have to take a power nap, and most importantly they are **YOUR HOME AWAY FROM HOME.**
Let me share my boarding house moments with my found family. During my stay, I study together with my board mates, eat out together, go to the malls, drink, have outings, and many more. It was such a lovely experience for me.
Final thoughts.
These are just the things that helped me out during my stay in my boarding house. Since some of you here are freshmen, you can consider having these when you decide to stay in a dorm. I hope this will help you.
P.S. I didn't include the electric fan because it's already given or one always has it.

The Helicopter Parenting
21 years of existence in this world should be a valid reason to write about this topic. I firsthand witnessed and experienced how Filipino parents would raise their kids.
Let us know first what is Helicopter Parenting.
*According to Google, Helicopter parents are* ***parents who pay extremely close attention to their kids' activities and schoolwork*** *in an effort to not only protect them from pain and disappointment, but to help them succeed. Helicopter parents are known to hover over their children and become overly involved in their lives.*
Source: Google https://www.verywellfamily.com/helicopter-parents-do-they-help-or-hurt-kids-1095041#:~:text=Helicopter%20parents%20are%20parents%20who,overly%20involved%20in%20their%20lives.
Having a kid is one of the greatest achievements of a couple. Whether it would be biological or adopted children. What matters the most is the life of a child that would depend on the Parents for guidance and nourishment until they are ready to face the reality.
There's no such thing as a perfect parent. There would still be spaces that they cannot fill.
Here are some of the toxic parenting traits that I noticed and witnessed:
**Parents should stop treating their kids as a retirement plan.** Some parents would tell their children that when they grow older, their kids should be the ones to take care of them and provide for their needs. This is wrong. This should not be imposed on children. Having a kid is a choice and no kid was born ready to have obligations. Children will help their parents if they want to. Not just because they are indebted to them but they are willingly giving back to the love that their parents gave them. And eventually, children will leave the nest and create their own families in the future.
**Parents should stop comparing their children to other kids.** We are all born individually unique, we have different strengths and weaknesses. Children who have experienced being compared to other kids will question themselves and ask what's wrong with them. They will resent themselves for thinking that they aren't good enough.
Also, **parents should stop comparing the lives of their children to the ones that they see on the roads/ streets** that have less privilege than they have. It's not their fault for being born into a privileged family and comparing them to the less fortunate kids will make them feel that they don't deserve the life that they have.
**Parents should stop dictating/ deciding on the life of their children.** The parent's role is to guide and provide for their children. This is a sad reality for some people out there. They aren't the one who chooses their college degree for them but it's their parents. For example, when the parents found out that their kid is going to take a course that has no boards exam, they will automatically tell their kid to take nursing, engineering, education, and etc. It is not new to us that sometimes, discrimination begins in our homes. Some kids end up being rebellious to their parents and even resent and have a grudge against them for the rest of their lives. Dictating for the life of your children is like cutting off their wings. You are restraining them to fly.
**Parents should stop invalidating their children's feelings just because they didn't go through the same thing in their generation.** Opening up about what we feel is already a hard thing to do. There's this existing trauma that we have because our feelings have been invalidated. This is a toxic trait of some Filipino parents. They always think that we made things up especially when we discuss our mental health. They don't understand that there are a lot of stressors/ events that can affect the mental being of their kids. They don't know that it can have an impact on us and we end up keeping our problems to ourselves. **OUR generation is not YOUR generation.**
**Parents should stop mentioning to their kids on what they have provided to them.** The perfect example of this is when our parents borrow money from us. When we try to ask for our money, they will immediately compute all their expenses on us as if we ask them to do that for us--- it's their responsibility.
**Parents should stop invading their kids' privacy.** There are parents who would search over their children's phones and read messages. For me, parents should cut some slack on their children. There will be a time that their kids will set boundaries and that's okay. Kids need privacy too. Trust is what should be present in the parent-kid relationship.
Final thoughts...
This isn't about showing aggression towards the parents who does these kinds of acts thus, this should make them realized that what matters the most is their love, support, understanding, and guidance.
Author's note:
I know some of you experienced these kinds of treatment from your parents and I hope you are still fighting to live. It's never easy to handle this kind of situation and I hope you have understanding parents that are willing to listen and to be educated.
Thank you for reading this article! Always keep safe and healthy!

This Is My Truth
I was supposed to write on a different topic tonight but suddenly, I got struck by a lightning of insecurity. In this blog, let me talk about my insecurities; how I deal with them, why I feel insecure about them, and finding the root of them.
Insecurities come in different forms. It can be physically, intellectually, mentally and etc. We should know to choose the right words, be sensitive toward other people because our jokes might be offensive to them.
This is a timely topic in which my good friend and I talked about a night ago. Although I have been planning on writing about it a long time ago. This is the right time to discuss my dramas/ insecurities while at the same time earning Bitcoin Cash. Making profits in my dramas. Lol.
So, what are my insecurities? Let's start on the Physical Attributes. I am insecure about my looks. I don't have a nice set of teeth, I have white patches (Tinea versicolor) all over my body, and sometimes I hate my body.
I was an elementary student when I hit my face on the dam. At that time my permanent toots were starting to grow and develop. The impact was hard that my tooth was removed from my gums. I was so stupid back then, I even laughed about what happened and didn't think that it is going to have an impact on me. I lost one of my central incisors. It sucks. If you know Awra Briguela, we have the same set of teeth but hers was more beautiful looking. I feel insecure about it because having a perfect smile contributes to one's appearance. And my peers have beautiful sets of teeth. They don't have to worry about looking for the right angle just to make their teeth good-looking. The only my teeth will get fixed is through braces and I will do that when I already have the money.
I have white patches all over my body and it sucks. I noticed it when I had an outing with my friends. It can be noticed easily because I have brown skin. It spread all over my body. I tried to do a home remedy but it didn't work out. I just wasted money and even made my skin situation worse. I learned my lesson and I'm currently having my medications now. All thanks to noise.cash and read.cash. If it weren't for these two platforms I wouldn't have the money to be able to pay for it.
I sometimes hate my body. One of the very reasons why I disconnected from social media is that I got pressured. I want a toned body with abs. Well, I once achieved it before. It was in the summer of 2019 when I started to work out and after months of working out my body turned out great.
I suffered from Body Dysphoria. There was a drastic change in my body when I started going to college. I didn't notice that my body was changing that time until my friends are already telling me that I am already thin. I checked myself while I was taking a bath and I felt my spinal cord. Bulk eating was my option. I regained my body fats but then, I started to drink-making myself way bigger than expected. I still have existing belly fat that I want to get rid of. And I'm trying my best to burn extra fats and calories.
Final thoughts...
It's not always about accepting our insecurities. It's also about finding a way to deal with them. Don't let yourself drown from the toxic positivity that people around you tell you. You can always do something to improve yourself. We get lost in the process of loving ourselves. But when we finally found ourselves, we can finally tell that we have arrived home. Let yourself be the safe space for you.

Platform-End Scare
We recently had trouble writing and publishing articles. We thought that it might be the end for this platform. Also with noise.cash when we had troubles uploading pictures.
At first, I didn't know what was happening because I can still open the site not until I tried to write an article. It shows that there was a problem and it might be an error. Some speculations were made. That this might be a maintenance check or this might be the end. Are we prepared for the things that might happen?
Last night when I wasn't able to write an article, I was thinking about a lot of things and how am I going to end up considering that I still need income for my medication. I thought that it was the end of this platform. I even searched for side hustles on the internet that I can apply to in the meantime.
While I wasn't doing anything last night, I thought of the things that I benefited from the two platforms --- noise. cash, and read. cash. I reminisced.
These two platforms **helped me to deal with my mental health**. It became my journal where I can just be myself and release the thoughts that were on my mind. My articles are based on my life. That's why even if I share a portion of it here I still protect my anonymity.
**I was able to extend help.** This is not to show off but I'm just so proud to say that I was able to help by using my earnings.
**I was able to socialized and made new friends.** I didn't imagine that I would gain friends with people that I am not familiar with. These platforms made a way for me to have conversations with others. I'm glad that I can give advice and share the same sentiments with you. It is such a relief when I can be a helping hand to other people and knowing that they aren't shy to mingle with me.
**I learned to understand imperfections.** We cannot avoid mistakes, sometimes especially with our grammar. I know that because I make mistakes too and I know that my English is not perfect. I'm not a grammar nazi but before I wouldn't finish what I was reading because I was irritated. And I realized that I can still read it but correcting the grammar on my mind. It's a win-win situation for me as it improves my grammar.
**I became financially independent.** I didn't expect that I can go this far as a college student. When I started earning here, I stopped asking for money from my parents. I automatically became financially independent not like how I was used to. I learned more about handling my money and finances. I was able to have my skin medication, buy the things that I like, and save for myself.
I know that all good things come to an end and we should be ready for it. Enjoy as much as we can and be grateful for the things that we have now. We should be thankful for the founders of these platforms as they've helped us in the best possible way they can - Sir Simon and Sir @MarcDeMesel.
This is the reality that we are going to face. Let's savor it as much as we can and help to keep these platforms to remain a safe space for everyone.

Roles In Every Inuman Session
I found out about this new prompt through Jinifer's article and this was initiated by @OfficialGamboaLikeUs. Let me share my drunk moments as well.
First of, I would like to tell you when did I started to drink --- at eighteen years old. I know it's kind of late for my age but look what I've become --- a man of steel who never gives up on every inuman session.
There are many reasons why we drink; when we're happy, celebrating, sad, broken-hearted, and etcetera. We usually discuss things with our loved ones when we are in front of them while in a drinking session. Here are the roles that I noticed/ experienced on a drinking session:
**The Caregiver**
This is that one kainuman of ours who takes care of us when we cannot handle ourselves anymore. The one who's going to stop taking shots just to help us and accompany us to the bathroom.
I was also a caregiver, I was the one who cleaned the mess that my friend made. He was vomiting all over my friend's house. My friend's (the celebrant) parents were even present at that time because it was his birthday, they also helped me to clean my friend. In the end, my friend got picked up by his Papa and Kuya because we cannot handle him anymore.
I told them that I will just give them a peanut butter spread as our peace offering but it never happened because they live far from me. Lol.
**The Kuripot**
We all have that one kuripot kainuman who doesn't want to give a equal contribution but always ends up being the drunkest. HAHAHAHA. Kapal yarn? Charot!
We have this inuman rule that if you don't give the agreed contribution then you will be the one who's going to do the chores and erands--- clean after and buy the drinks. But we are also considerate when we know that our friend is in short of a budget.
**The MONEYger**
This is the complete opposite of the kuripot friend. The Moneyger always gives the highest contribution.
Sometimes I'm the Moneyger but sometimes, I'm also the kuripot. No wonder I got broke during pre-pandemic. I just want to have fun and ayokong tinitipid sarili ko sa pagkain.
**The Tagasundo**
These are the ones who have motorcycles/cars that will pick us up in the middle of the night or unnoticed. Sometimes they will just be outside your house without letting you know that they are going to pick you up.
**The Cameraman**
These are the people who will take pictures/videos of you instead of helping when we are already drunk and vomiting. Sila talaga yung nagkakalat ng nakakahiyang pagmumukha natin.
**The Ticket**
This is our friend that usually asks permission from our parents if we can go out and sometimes we mention their names when we also ask permission to go out. Ito yung friend na kilala ng family natin na akala nila prim and proper at napaka-birhen.
**The Chorale**
**The Uuwi daw**
This happened to me a couple of times already. I always tell my friends that I will go home after the inuman but ends up sleeping over. Well, it's way better than forcing myself to go home.
**The Airbnb owner**
These are our friends that will let us stay the night at their place. Usually sa bahay nila tayo umiinom. HAHAHAHA.
**The Coffee lover**
This is so me. Is it just me who drinks coffee after an inuman session? Naalala ko na nagpatimpla ako dati sa debutant ng kape. HAHAHAHAHAHA. Also, pinag timpla na din ako ni crush ng kape. (kinilig pwet ko) Charot!
Anyway, these are the roles that I think every inuman session has. It's just so fun to reminisce about my inuman memories specially in this time na di kami masiyadong nakakapag hangout ng friends ko.

Stay Away From Me. Get Lost!
Totoo pala talaga yung kasabihan na **It's Not Always Rainbows And Butterflies.** There's this one visitor of mine whom I don't want to visit me anymore, I'm so tired of it. Why? Because it takes away my joy and energy. It always brings a heavy feeling that I cannot explain.
I am talking about my mental health. I hate this visitor! One moment I'm happy and then in just a snap of my fingers, I will start to have a heavy feeling inside of me. Para bang flesh-eating bacteria na paunti-unti akong kinakain sa loob hanggang manghina ako. Nakakapagod na rin.
This heavy feeling always pays a visit when everything in my life is doing perfectly fine. I don't know but I feel scared now whenever everything in my life is doing good. I feel traumatized.
It sucks because I can't do anything when it visits me. My jolly personality will eventually fade and I can't function well. I would just lay in bed and do nothing, sometimes I try to sleep but I just can't. I can't even finish watching an episode of The Good Doctor earlier.
I don't want to think that I have depression because I am not a psychologist and ***self-diagnosing will just lead to more complications.*** All I know is that I am helpless. I wanted to scream and cry myself to sleep but for some reason, I can't do it.
There are things that I do to cope up with this feeling. I talk to my little cousin and ask her to give me a hug, pet my cat, not using my phone, go to the garden, and etc. If there's one precious thing that I don't want to be broken/ ruined/ at risk, it would be my mental health. I'll do everything just to protect it.
Everyone is not going to understand what I am feeling and it's okay. I don't seek sympathy from you guys, I just want to share this because this is my reality. That my life is not perfect at all.
Maybe some of you will say that I should talk to my parents about this, I can't and it's not easy. They will not understand. I don't want to hear the phrases, "Nag-aaral ka lang naman tas ganiyan nararamdaman mo" or "Nag iinarte ka lang". It's difficult for them to understand because they are born into a different generation. They wouldn't understand that there are a lot more stressors today than before.
One thing I always tell myself is that **my feelings are valid. I am valid.** I just didn't make these things up on my mind because who would want to? The right thing to do is to deal with this and not try to get away or ignore this.
I will get over this. My mental health might be fvcked up as of the moment but I will come back as a much stronger person.
