Hola! I've been a pageant fan since Rachel Peters's era but all throughout my high school life, my friends and some family members have been always discussing beauty pageants that's why since then, I already have an idea of how it works.
Tomorrow, the 30th of September will be the coronation night of Miss Universe Philippines. But before the pageant should even be held, I will be answering preliminary questions that were asked to the candidates.
What's the most important lesson you learned in the past week?
The most important lesson I've learned last week was that it's okay to pause for a while when you get tired of understanding how life works. That having a life pause can heal you even if you are just going to be silent about what you are going through in life.
If beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, in whose eyes are you beautiful?
I am most beautiful in my own eyes. What makes me beautiful is that I have witnessed the darkest and brightest moments of my life wherein some of these moments I felt that I was ugly, I don't fit in with the standards. And that no one can ever dictate my beauty aside from me because I know myself and beauty is not just about the physical appearance, beauty is surpassing the standard norm that the physical appearance always stands out, it is also what's inside of the person.
If we truly learn from our mistakes, would you advise a young person to keep doing them?
Committing mistakes is part of our life, it is what makes us human. Mistakes are things that can't be avoided but can be our life teachers for us to learn from our experiences. I wouldn't advise a young person to commit mistakes rather I would tell them that it's okay to have mistakes and that the most important is we learn from them and it would help us to become the better version of ourselves.
If you have the power to do ONE of the following: Eliminate poverty and hunger, A government with no graft & corruption, or solve all environmental problems, which would you choose?
I believe that poverty, hunger, and environmental problems exist because of a government with graft and corruption. People that are in positions that abused their powers for their own agendas. If I were to have the power to do one of the three choices, it would be to have a government with no graft and corruption. I encourage everyone to register and choose the right leader that listens to the outcry of its countrymen! It's never too late to have a change. Your vote will make a great impact!
If you were to add to cart one item to buy on Lazada to send to all Filipinos to help inspire them during this time, what would it be and why?
I am going to add to cart tons of Journals and send them to all Filipinos. We have experienced the worst that the pandemic brought us and we all have the silent battles that we are continuously fighting. One thing that I've experienced is not talking to someone about what I am going through. A journal will serve as a person that we can talk to, where we write about our experiences, rants, and express our emotions. And when all of it subsides, they can burn the page and move on with their lives.
These are my top 10 candidates that I am rooting for:
Manila
Cebu City
Albay
Laguna
Pangasinan
Misamis Oriental
Siargao Island
Angeles City
Cavite
Cebu Province
Fun fact!
Dianne Necio which was crowned as Binibining Pilipinas-International in 2011 is my kababayan! We live in the same town and barangay.
We may be different in our favorite candidates and it's okay. Comment down below your bet for this year's Miss Universe Philippines. Also, if this is the real Q and A, my answers may or may not have turned out to be like this.
