Do Not Let Hate Grow Within You
We cannot control the emotions we have inside sometimes, which push us to feel angry and hate someone. It is understandable because we cannot help it. We had to deal with people every day, from our annoying neighbors or a relative with an attitude. Getting involved in a conflict starts a fire deep inside us, especially when the arguments are quite serious.
The worst part is the hate could also grow within us – and to some people, it happened. We cannot blame them for feeling that way because we had no idea how much they have been through. We do not know how much insults and offenses they had to endure, that made them let the hate grow deeper. But at some point, I hope I can still remind everyone not to let hatred stay with you for a long time.
Here are the reasons why:
It could eat your system and well-being.
Living with so much loathing towards someone can affect your well-being. It could cause you to avoid engaging with other people anymore. In the worst case scenario, you may get through posttraumatic stress and anxiety, especially if the situation is too heavy to bear. Some people will also think about getting revenge, look forward to threats, or turn into violence.
It could have an impact on your progress.
Sometimes the hatred we feel inside could slow us down. It can possibly affect your progress in life, because you focus on hating someone for what they did or said to you. You can face more serious consequences if you let it cause distractions to what you are building for yourself. The worst scenario you could experience is comparing yourself to them – which may start another problem to where you are going.
You will live your life differently.
I believe that living a life with rage inside you can make you see the world differently. Some people would end up having perspectives that life is all about competition, greed, and cruelty. Aside from slowing you down, it may also affect the mindset you have. It will never be the same.
Negativity will ponder.
When you already view life differently, negativity will start to strike one by one. There will be situations when your hatred attracts undesirable outcomes. Sometimes we end up making decisions while in a state of anger, and it might not turn out better.
There are different results when we let hate grow within us. And there are ways on how to cope up with it too.
Let it go if you can, or not get too involved in the conflict.
Look at a healthier way to communicate with the other party and see if you can both work it out, if possible.
You can practice being civil with the people you hate.
Remember to take side-steps and be mindful of the emotions you feel inside, especially hatred.
It may look and sound challenging, but it is advisable to be more cautious and take full responsibility for your state of mind. Let positivity and better thinking be dominant.
