MidNight Gems-Undiscovered, Underrated and Forgotten Songs vol.46 "Girls, Guitars and a Piano"
For those of you that are new to my MidNight Gems series. Welcome to this nightly trip on which we will uncover & recover some amazing songs & covers. Last time it was so dark I stubled upon some young guitar carrying girls during my late night escapade. Which honestly was kind of a pleasure I must say. One of the biggest pleasures was discovering this little Diamond called Daisy. Tonight a Daisy Clark original and this little one should not have to stick to covers if you ask me...this song is so good it hurts. Daisy Clark - I hope it hurts you - (original song) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cq8UowuVKwc Let´s stick with little girls and guitars tonight or at least for a while and yes here is an other Diamond in the rough I love to shill. Faela - Time stands still https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rn6ikCDEumM Maybe this is a bit too sweet for my Midnight Gems sessions...so let´s get a bit more darkish with Mackenzie gohstly whooos. Mackenzie Johnson - Dead, I Guess (A Spooky Original Tune) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YgpGicwTD5Y That is more like it, let s have some more nightmares come true. Hannah Trigwell - Dreams https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JL5XUz1Pqdw These nightly events are just asking for it, more pianissimo....more melancholy piano´s and girly voices. This is another beautiful gem, especially this acoustic version. Alyssa Baker - Signs (Acoustic Piano) https://youtu.be/4-fT05FXNy4 I can´t help it I just adore that piano vibe at midnight, and now I will have to cheat a little bit because I wanted to share this next one, but Jasmine does not play the piano herself. Jasmine Thompson - Adore https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nG3IbpsoIXo Well if I am cheating anyway here is another very special version, high on piano too spice up this girly Midnight session...love the haunting vibe in this song. Hellberg - The Girl | Acoustic Mix (Vocals and Piano only) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C9C8LlTYuXQ Most of these girls have a whole bunch of covers on there youtube channel and this time I was more interested in the originals....but I had to put in at least one cover. So I ended up with a song. I would not even have known it´s cover if they wouldn´t have said so. But this has such a nice darkish London Grammer vibe and yes of course a piano. Sierra Eagelson - Retrograde - (James Blake cover) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4yyhvgqRFPM Seems only fair to end with the girl that started this journey and show her off once more, but behind the piano this time and playing an other Daisy Clark original. Lighting a little angelic, fire to keep you warm throughout the rest of this night. Daisy Clark - The Fires (Live Piano Version) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QshOC9zskuM What the fluff are midnight gems? https://read.cash/@BitcoinBaby/the-best-covers-you-probably-never-heard-midnight-gems-vol10-cover-love-eb436a0c#what-the-fluff-are-midnight-gems Somewhere lost in time, trying to escape out of the rabbit hole back into the rat race there is a vacuum..... that´s the place where midnight gems are found. My Midnight Gems will try to uncover & recover those beautiful songs that nobody ever noticed or might have been forgotten. Who the fluff am I? https://read.cash/@BitcoinBaby/the-best-covers-you-probably-never-heard-midnight-gems-vol10-cover-love-eb436a0c#who-the-fluff-am-i Being a former DJ playing about everything and having an uncompleted study of radio journalism. I have been wanting to do this for years....Thought about it many nights and guess now it´s time to finally take it to the streets. Hope you enjoyed this slightly confronting wave of amazing music and you still feel like joining me on the next special edition trip as vol.47 of Midnight Gems is coming soon.
