Get in Touch Now or Never

***by Gracee / Wednesday / June 9, 2021*** Being online is easy but getting in touch is hard. Our lifestyle is now better than before. We are busier than ever. We are busier even if we are just at home or in our free time with the help of the internet. Through the internet, we easily access different sites that can give us happiness and make our boring time fun and exciting. Playing online games and visiting different platforms to watch movies, listening to music, vlogging and blogging are just a few things to avoid boredom and let the time flies so fast without noticing it. *However, being online does not mean you are always connected.* You are not always connected in the sense of not connecting with the people you love and care about the most. This is relatable to those people who are far from their loved ones because of work or some reasons. We sometimes do not mind sending greetings. We even do not exert effort to check on them. We are so confident that our family and friends are still there at home or work and okay. We always side aside them for we are sometimes very focused on doing not-so-important matters online. We usually forget to stay in touch with the people whom we love the most (our family and true friends). We seldom remember to chat with them even we are online for we are preoccupied and diverted our attention doing some of the things we love online that are not so important and not necessary in our daily living?. I mean, having fun online like playing games or browsing the internet is sometimes okay to relax our mind but doing it often that makes you forget to get in touch with your loved ones is not totally fine. We only live once. We always think to enjoy every moment doing the things that make us happy and one of that is being online and be updated on the happenings around the world yet forget to be updated about our loved ones and the fact that we only live once with our family and friends too. Yes, it is okay to enjoy and make our day fun by using the internet but why not using it to connect to the people we love and care about or give some time to get in touch with them using other forms of communication? ***Writing a letter, calling, sending an SMS or an email, chatting online, or having a video call*** are just a few ways to get in touch with the people you love. Other ways are ***meeting/ visiting them at home or hang out together*** if they are not so far from you. I believe that it is not necessary to do it every single day but consistently getting in touch with them helps you build a stronger relationship and might avoid regretting it in the future once they leave this world. Getting in touch is easy but it makes us hard to do it for it is one of our least priorities. I am so guilty about this. I rarely send a message to my relatives or friends whom I truly treasure. I even ignore some of their messages and calls which is not good and I feel bad about that. But I just realized that time flies so fast and everyone is getting older and soon our relatives will be gone especially our grandparents, and parents. Since I started working from home, I try my best to at least send messages once in a while to my family members who are not always going home and friends who are far from me. I even sometimes visit some of them to catch up and see how they are doing. Never ever waste your time on the things that make your distance farther to your family. Do not let these things give you regrets at the end because once they die you can *never ever* get a chance to in touch with them. Whatever you do and wherever you go. *Getting in touch with your loved ones and friends is not easy if it is your least priority. Remember, you only have one chance to make them feel appreciated, remembered and loved. Exert some efforts to get in touch with your loved ones while you are still both alive.* *Gett in touch now to the people who you cherish the most and build a strong relationship before it is too late.* -the end.
