Nagawa ko na ang morning rituals every Thursday so ito nag breakfast na. I bought a sliced bread yesterday so I made a tuna sandwich. I also bought turmeric tea but this time I tried turmeric tea with guyabano because I didn't find the brand that I was using before. I tried a small pack only. Time to eat breakfast mga kaingay. Hapunan na po tayo. I cooked the Winner Embutido for dinner. In fairness, masarap po siya. I can taste the egg, red bell pepper, cheese and raisins. My children liked it too. It's been a while since I've watched a movie on Netflix. I am watching a Korean movie Be With You starring Son Ye Jin. The movie's synopsis said that "it's about a woman who died. I picked some blue ternate flowers from the garden and made some blue tea. Every time I made this tea, I'm always amazed by its color change when an acid like lemon is added. You will see the colors in the photo. Hot water infused with blue ternate flowers is dark blue but when lemon is added, the color changed to purple. Food Photography (Puto Maya) This is a typical Cebuano breakfast, puto maya or sticky rice, sekwate or hot chocolate and ripe mango. I bought the puto maya from a vendor who passes by early morning. Lemongrass I tried planting again some lemongrass stalks a few weeks ago and now it's showing longer leaves. It could be a sign of a long lasting life. I added more soil to the pot to fill it up. Shabu Shabu This is my first time experience to eat at a solely Shabu Shabu restaurant. Celebrating 102 years of happiness. It's lunchtime here. I'm done with cooking my vegetables and sliced hungarian sausage. I also heated some Lechon in the oven toaster . Drainage problem solved! We had problem with our drainage system from the laundry area to the sewer. Bumabara at mahina ang pag labas ng wastewater sa drainage. After lunch, I requested my bunso to help me open the man hole covering the sewers. I need a strong hand. Nahihirapan po kami kasi wala mga gamit. After we have solved our drainage problem in the afternoon, I went to the front yard to throw some garbage inside the sack and I passed by the little cutie pink flower and noticed it has already closed. Pepper My pepper plant has been planted last year. It's an old plant but it still gives flowers and fruits. This morning, I happened to notice these white flowers of my pepper plant. Hammock We're done with dinner and keeping our kitchen. Now it's time to relax. I missed relaxing in a hammock under the shade of the trees. I am done with my 2nd dose of Pfizer vaccine. I went to the vaccination center at 8am and finished a few minutes past 9am. That was a fast process even though there were lots of people coming for their 2nd dose. We still went through the process of validation,screening, consultation, vaccination, encoding and 2 levels of post vaccination monitoring. Thank God, everything went well. Cold compress Following the doctor's instructions during Counseling before vaccination, I am preparing the cold compress bag and ice to relieve soreness of my arm. . I can feel some relief after placing cold compress last night. I will apply again this morning. I understand that putting something cold in the affected area, reduces blood flow and it minimize swelling and pain. A 10 to 15 minutes of cold compress is enough for short-term pain. Hello Sunshine I felt comfortable with my arms after applying cold compress. I washed a few pieces of my dirty clothes to exercise my arms. It felt good already. When I hanged my washed clothes, the sun is shining very brightly so I took some photos. It was so glaring and I had difficulty getting my focus. I'm happy that the sun is finally out. Baked chicken wings Early lunch po kami kasi hindi po nag almusal ang aking mga kasama sa bahay. My youngest daughter baked the extra wings we had last night. These were the chicken wings that my eldest daughter ordered from Tokyo Tokyo. She ordered 2 boxes and we finished only 1 box. Tugas We passed by my in-laws place because my daughter picked up something from her auntie. I took a snap of the trees around their house. These trees have grown there for quite some time. Food trip As an advanced birthday celebration for my eldest daughter , we ate Ramen at Yushoken located at Oakridge Business Park. We had to wait for some time for a free table because they were very strict with social distancing. The ramen was worth our waiting. It's so good. We had a fun and great day with the birthday girl, my Achi Mif. The birthdays of my 1st and 2nd daughters are just a day apart. July 9th for my 2nd daughter and July 11 for my 1st born. Euphorbia These are some of the euphorbias left in my collection. I had them placed in the terrace but I can seldom visit them anymore. They survived naturally and even bear some flowers. Euphorbias are easy to grow plants. They are tough perennial plants, as what I have experienced and observed. Tenshi and Ginger I am so amused watching my doggie 🐶 Tenshi and alley cat🐱 Ginger. Whenever I let Tenshi out of his cage to run around and pee , he would look for alley cat Ginger. Pepper This afternoon, I went upstairs to get something. Pepper was there too. When I was done, I told Pepper to come down with me. True enough, Pepper came down with me. Pepper walked so fast so I called her to wait for me coz my knee was painful. She did listen and waited as seen in the photo. Pepper is such a smart and lovable cat. Snake plant in full bloom. I went out of our gate for a very short moment just to check the snake plant blooms. Wow, the flowers have fully opened and I did smell its fragrance in the air. This afternoon, I went inside my daughter's room and when I looked out of the window I saw the sun about to set. There were many obstructions to my sight but I just took a photo. The Upside A friend here in Noisecash @Godlike78 suggested a movie "The Upside" which is a true to life story. I will watch this movie now. It's a story about a wealthy man who is paralyzed on both arms and legs. He was looking for a caregiver who can help him in his daily life. Butterfly I found this butterfly flitting around these multi colored flowers. I tried so many shots with its wings closed together, then it opened again until I got this perfect shot. Dead battery One of the reasons I went to the mall because I need my watches to be fixed. The batteries had died so I went to the Watch Repair Section of the Metro Department Store. I have not used my watches for many months due to pandemic. I just need to have them checked because I had a bad experience before with my old watch. Dinner When I was at the mall earlier, I visited a bakery which made good breads. My daughter used to buy their day old bread at 50% discount. When I checked there, they have day old Rye loaf bread and ciabatta which I bought. I also passed by the supermarket and bought some butter, cheese , cooked ham, chicken ham, lettuce, etc. That's why our dinner is sandwich with ham and cheese. Then our dessert is cookie a la mode( cookie topped with ice cream.).

Dinner I am cooking tortang tuna with carrots and potatoes. I am using canned tuna chunks in vegetable oil so I opened the can and poured the oil on a hot pan where I will sauté the carrots and potatoes. I chopped the carrots and potatoes then sautéed it with onions and garlic. When the potatoes and carrots were cooked , I added the tuna. Season with pepper and salt to taste. Doña Aurora ( Mussaenda Philippica) Do you recognize what plant or flower this is? This is called Doña Aurora or Mussaenda Philippica . It is a shrub . Trash disposal It's the time of the day that the Barangay waste collectors pass by our street and pick up our trash. I commend our government officials for the regular collection of our trash. It's an SOP already here that we bring out our trash early morning because the garbage truck usually passed by past 8am. Preparing Dinner I am happy that I was able to sleep this afternoon. I had a good rest. Nakapag merienda na po ba kayo? Parang busog pa po ako kaya pass muna sa merienda. Look who's at my window. It's Pepper our house cat. She went out earlier when I was resting outside but when I went back inside she was left alone there. I went inside my room and later I found her on the window sill. She really loves to sit on window sills whether in the living room or in bunso's room. Boiled banana. While I was having lunch, I boiled the ripe saba banana. True enough just after our lunch it was already cooked. I wanted to make "minatamis na saging" or cooked banana in syrup. I was tempted to taste the banana and I cut a little before I went out to rest. I found it very sweet and delicious so I got the whole banana and started eating it. It's so yummy. Now , I don't know if I will still cook it in syrup coz I'm tempted again to get another one. 😊

Sweetened banana. Ito na po ang nangyari sa nilagang saging, minatamis na saging na po. Gustong gusto ng mga anak ko ito kaya ginawa ko ang boiled saba banana into sweetened banana. Achara My daughter went to our cousin's house to get something from her cousin. What a blessing, our cousin gave us this much of achara or green papaya pickle relish. Achara is a pickle made from grated unripe green papaya , ginger, onions , carrots, and bell peppers. It has a sweet sour taste. This is a Filipino dish. Good morning. I ate a very late breakfast and look what I had! It's ripe sweet cold papaya . I woke up early but I was lazy today so I just stayed in bed and listened to music and read some materials. When I sensed that someone is already outside, I also went out and cut the papaya which I placed inside the ref to get cold. This was given by our cousin. It's so sweet and just right in ripeness. I just learned today that there are new Modern PUJ units that will be plying the streets here in Cebu City. They are air conditioned units. The minimum fare is P11. It is being operated and maintained by cooperatives of different routes. I saw this at Superbalita Cebu news today. Cracker Nuts This is my all time favorite. When I have nothing to do, I eat Nagaraya cracker Nuts (peanut) and I prefer the original flavor. I bought the small packs so that I can control the amount of nuts to eat. If I open the big pack, I can finish it too in one sitting so better get the smaller pack. Male Papaya I have a small papaya tree which only gives flowers and doesn't form a fruit. It's a male papaya. Look at its flowers, it's very pretty. I have already cut the upper part of this tree hoping that it will bear fruit but it failed. Now it's giving flowers which smell good when you go near it. Metamorphosis We learned that a butterfly life cycle has four stages. These are 1. The egg, 2. The larva or caterpillar, 3. The pupa or chrysalis and 4. The Adult butterfly. Each of these stages are unique to different butterfly species. The photo I snapped is the Pupa or Chrysalis stage. Missed its emergence. I checked on the pupa at about 2:30pm and noticed that I was already late because the butterfly had already emerged and flew. The pupa is now transparent and there is a little tear near the head part. ( Please see the photo below. ) I'm sad that I missed this momentous event. I just missed its emergence!
