Blooming Sanseveria Have you seen a snake plant with flowers in bloom? The snake plant located outside of our gate has been blooming. Snake plant or Sanseveria also known as Mother-in-law tongue grows well indoors or outdoors with little maintenance. It helps filter the air indoors to keep us safe from air pollutants. Aside from CO2, it also absorbs pollutants that can cause cancer like: benzene, formaldehyde, xylene, and toluene. These pollutants can cause harm to our health. Placing snake plant indoors helps in CO2 absorption even at night time. We know that plants take in carbon dioxide while it gives off oxygen which we need. This blooming Snake plant grows on a plant box along the road just near our gate. It has grown abundantly even without care. And now it's giving some flowers. I saw 3 flower stalks, 2 stalks are in full bloom while the 3rd one is still new. It gives a nice fragrance at night time.
