MidNight Gems-Undiscovered, Underrated and Forgotten Songs vol.38 "Rainy Night in November"
For those of you that are new to my MidNight Gems series. Welcome to this nightly trip on which we will uncover & recover some amazing songs & covers. And tonight I have been looking out the window and I saw just one thing....drops and more drops of rain.... which was very inspiring for tonights session. Because the sound of silence made room for the sound of rain. 1. The Sound of Rain - Sad Piano Song https://read.cash/@BitcoinBaby/midnight-gems-undiscovered-underrated-and-forgotten-songs-vol38-rainy-night-in-november-7ffaff56#1-the-sound-of-rain-sad-piano-song https://youtu.be/R9Y3-PxiD7s https://www.youtube.com/embed/R9Y3-PxiD7s?feature=oembed And that brings me to my all-time favorite rainy song... and this version....it can only get better if it starts to rain harder, Right Ray. 2. Ray Charles - Rainy Night in Georgia https://read.cash/@BitcoinBaby/midnight-gems-undiscovered-underrated-and-forgotten-songs-vol38-rainy-night-in-november-7ffaff56#2-ray-charles-rainy-night-in-georgia https://youtu.be/WFatAWbKow4 https://www.youtube.com/embed/WFatAWbKow4?feature=oembed That was a way back song, but this one is also an almost golden oldie....almost just as old as I am....I can still remember hearing this on the ready and wanting to learn how to play Sax....well this one, Guru Josh and Candy D. Because when I want Sax I call Candy. 3. Skipper Wise "Standing Outside in the Rain" https://read.cash/@BitcoinBaby/midnight-gems-undiscovered-underrated-and-forgotten-songs-vol38-rainy-night-in-november-7ffaff56#3-skipper-wise-quotstanding-outside-in-the-rainquot https://www.youtube.com/embed/h2pN3ObYjC8?feature=oembed https://youtu.be/h2pN3ObYjC8 Standing outside in the rain and being Dutch you always wonder....Why does it always rain on me? Well, I can answer that....it´s because of the country because since I moved to Spain ..... I stopped wondering. 4. Travis - Why Does It Always Rain On Me? https://read.cash/@BitcoinBaby/midnight-gems-undiscovered-underrated-and-forgotten-songs-vol38-rainy-night-in-november-7ffaff56#4-travis-why-does-it-always-rain-on-me https://www.youtube.com/embed/PXatLOWjr-k?list=PLyeezhUs5uh9gF1q5QTXBnBxderpiupCw https://youtu.be/PXatLOWjr-k?list=PLyeezhUs5uh9gF1q5QTXBnBxderpiupCw And in Spain most of the rain will fall on the empty country plane and those buckets of rain will not bother us too much. 5. NEKO CASE - BUCKETS Of RAIN https://read.cash/@BitcoinBaby/midnight-gems-undiscovered-underrated-and-forgotten-songs-vol38-rainy-night-in-november-7ffaff56#5-neko-case-buckets-of-rain https://youtu.be/r_Uvy0g3MMM?list=PLyeezhUs5uh9gF1q5QTXBnBxderpiupCw https://www.youtube.com/embed/r_Uvy0g3MMM?list=PLyeezhUs5uh9gF1q5QTXBnBxderpiupCw Yes if you are a frequent visitor you must have picked this next one up in my Fookin Peaky Blinders Session....... 6. Laura Marling - A Hard Rain's A Gonna Fall (Bob Dylan cover) https://read.cash/@BitcoinBaby/midnight-gems-undiscovered-underrated-and-forgotten-songs-vol38-rainy-night-in-november-7ffaff56#6-laura-marling-a-hard-rain039s-a-gonna-fall-bob-dylan-cover https://youtu.be/EHk6DODhkGg https://www.youtube.com/embed/EHk6DODhkGg?feature=oembed But did you ever hear this one ...please do as it´s such a beautiful little gem (but could not embed a private video). This is A classic if you ask me and the next one is close to classical for sure. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4GY5Ay_LBz0 7. Simply Three - Rain https://read.cash/@BitcoinBaby/midnight-gems-undiscovered-underrated-and-forgotten-songs-vol38-rainy-night-in-november-7ffaff56#7-simply-three-rain https://youtu.be/KFppTBdCse8 https://www.youtube.com/embed/KFppTBdCse8?feature=oembed DARN, already time for an amazing cover #8 originally by John Hiatt but this version is by the Dutch Queen of country. 8. Ilse de lange- Feels like rain https://read.cash/@BitcoinBaby/midnight-gems-undiscovered-underrated-and-forgotten-songs-vol38-rainy-night-in-november-7ffaff56#8-ilse-de-lange-feels-like-rain https://www.youtube.com/embed/6RR8-dyVYiU?feature=oembed https://youtu.be/6RR8-dyVYiU And if we are playing neverending songs and it´s November already....why not this one 9. Guns & Roses - November Rain (Acoustic Version / 1986 Sound City Session) https://read.cash/@BitcoinBaby/midnight-gems-undiscovered-underrated-and-forgotten-songs-vol38-rainy-night-in-november-7ffaff56#9-guns-amp-roses-november-rain-acoustic-version-1986-sound-city-session https://youtu.be/2CTaUa03PVU https://www.youtube.com/embed/2CTaUa03PVU?feature=oembed While searching for this acoustic version I came across this little gem that I.....well I just wanted to share the audio is not too great...but the vibe makes up for that.... https://youtu.be/PRFpWwIXlgo https://www.youtube.com/embed/PRFpWwIXlgo?feature=oembed And just a little guilty pleasure to top off this Rainy night in Granada- Superchick - Stand In The Rain (Symphonic Mix) https://read.cash/@BitcoinBaby/midnight-gems-undiscovered-underrated-and-forgotten-songs-vol38-rainy-night-in-november-7ffaff56#superchick-stand-in-the-rain-symphonic-mix https://youtu.be/aZkd91HXng4 What the fluff are midnight gems? https://read.cash/@BitcoinBaby/the-best-covers-you-probably-never-heard-midnight-gems-vol10-cover-love-eb436a0c#what-the-fluff-are-midnight-gems Somewhere lost in time, trying to escape out of the rabbit hole back into the rat race there is a vacuum..... that´s the place where midnight gems are found. My Midnight Gems will try to uncover & recover those beautiful songs that nobody ever noticed or might have been forgotten. Who the fluff am I? https://read.cash/@BitcoinBaby/the-best-covers-you-probably-never-heard-midnight-gems-vol10-cover-love-eb436a0c#who-the-fluff-am-i Being a former DJ playing about everything and having an uncompleted study of radio journalism. I have been wanting to do this for years....Thought about it many nights and guess now it´s time to finally take it to the streets. Hope you enjoyed this slightly confronting wave of amazing music and you still feel like joining me on the next trip as vol.39 of Midnight Gems is coming soon.
