One will read instructions via walkie-talkie at a distance without looking at their teammates, one will interpret to the other members by listening to the reader and blindfolded, while the remaining members will assemble the furniture. ***Results*** - the 60s are the winners and the last place is the 40s. **2nd test** - Which age group has the best short-term memory? Each participant will be given a list of grocery items to memorize, starting with 3 items and adding more items for the next rounds but there will be distractions. **Results** - winners are 20s and 50s/40s are the losers **3rd test** - Which age group excels in technology and dexterity? There will be a representative for each age group. If you look at how happy or how satisfied people are throughout their lives, it looks like a U-shaped curve. People are happier in their 20s and begin to decline in their 30s, reached the bottom in their 40s, and begin to go back up in their 50s to 60s. After watching and realizing a few things about my age. I do somehow agree with the results. By the way, I am already 31 and struggling but I remembered a few things when I was still in my 20s. I used to have no fear about certain things that can happen to me. I lived like a responsible rebel person. I do things that I want, whenever I want. I don't care what other people say or think of me. I had a job and enjoyed working for a company with people I am comfortable with. I eat, buy things, and treat myself whenever I want as long as I have money and time. I enjoyed my life, being in and out of relationships. Spending time with my friends. Fooling around, drinking, vices, etc. I can say that I was at the peak of my happiness at that age until I reached 30. I got pregnant I got married I gave birth Currently experiencing a crisis in different ways Struggling to be a mother and a wife and away from my friends and family. No salary-paying job No freedom to do the things I want or at least used to do. Hey, I am not saying that I regret having a kid and getting married. Most women fear having difficulty having a baby when they reach their 30s too. When I met my husband and got to know him a little better, that's when said to myself, '*Hey it's time. You can build a family with him, no more looking for Mr. Right because he is gonna be my Mr. Right and Wrong.'* Everything that I thought I would be once I have a family turned around and now having this whatever moment this is, it's taking me down. Literally. I can say that I was at my highest or happiest age in my 20s too. I am still riding in my early 30s, so who knows what could happen next. For sure, it's gonna be a rollercoaster ride in any aspect. In conclusion, there are still things, people, and moments that make me happy but right now I can say that it is not the happiness I experienced when I was in my 20s. This is the kind of happiness that I am settling without experiencing literal pain in my chest. Should I wait until I reach my 50s or 60s so I can be at the peak of my happiness again? This is Why `11.12.22` Hello rockafellas! It's been so long since I've watched or heard my favorite band's voice. You might know them but I'll still introduce you to Paramore!!!! Sharing here with you their new single, *This Is Why*, which was released a month ago. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=naygrknW6wc I suddenly decided to watch live concerts of my favorite bands recently. It's really been a while since I've done that. The last time was when Lil B was just a few months old and I somehow made it a lullaby for her. Last week, I decided to play one of Paramore's recent live concerts and I'm still in awe. Hayley's energy was almost the same as when she was younger. Oh boy, this woman doesn't age too. What I love the most about this band are their live performances. They never fail to hype the audiences all throughout their concert. I remembered the first and last time I went to a concert. Yes, it was theirs hahaha! I remembered that asked one of my co-workers who has a credit card to buy the tickets for us so I can pay in installments. Oh by, the way, this was their 2013 concert in SM Mall of Asia Arena and it was already their 2nd concert. I wished that I was able to watch their first concert here in the Philippines because all 5 original band members were there. At their 2013 concert, The Farro brothers weren't there anymore. I was sad that I didn't get to see the original members perform live, but I am still thankful that I get to listen to and watch Paramore's concert. That's the one and only concert memory that I'll treasure forever. Have you?... `11.11.22` Let's do a little going back on memory lane and see if we experienced some things in life. I saw this from @ARTicLEE 's post from some time last month hahaha! I am still searching if I saved the first 15 questions but let me do the 2nd set of questions instead. Are you ready? Have you ever met someone famous? What do you mean by meeting someone famous? Like seen, passed by, took pictures with, or met them and befriended them? Why did I answer the question with a question anyway? Well because I don't really get interested in other famous people like actors if I see them IRL, like in front of me. Unless I am a fan. Oh I actually met the Juan Direction guys when I was in college. NYAHAHAHAH! https://youtu.be/HnSi4XqNDUc As far as I can remember, I just got off from work and went to school. Then I noticed a bunch of people at the gate and I wonder if there was a rally going on. But to my surprise, I saw these guys lurking outside our campus. I was shocked and late for my class, then I texted my buddy classmate that the Juan Direction is here! She told me that our professor wasn't coming so I waited for her to get out of the room so I can have someone with me to take pictures with them. Like OMG! The guys were just simply asking for a kiss or hug for any amount as a donation. SOOOOO, the working student me has moneeeeeeeeh! I was still a bit shy but I still took chance to have pictures with them and I gave them a hundred pesos ($2). All of them hugged me WHAHAHAHAHAHA! I was so kilig to the max that I can die. Char! They weren't that famous but some of you may have seen them on Youtube or in billboards or commercials. Have you ever ridden a horse? Yes, I love riding and I can ride as long as I can. Whew! Char! Seriously I have. Here's a picture so you won't have to imagine me riddin' dirty. HAHAHAHAHAHAH! This was taken in Quituinan Hills, Camalig, Albay. We used to spend our Holy Week in Bicol as a family tradition. They were still developing this area at that time. Have you ever received Valentine's Day card? Yes, I think so. I just forgot from whom. Have you ever seen a tornado? Oh, I think once or twice. It was just a small one but I can still remember how strong the winds that passed by and then the fallen leaves and dirt swirling around the street. I am not even sure if it is called a tornado. Have you ever bought something expensive? When I purchase something worth 2,000 pesos or more, I already consider that expensive. Nike Air Force 1 in all white purchased from Zalora on sale worth 3,000 The vape I've wanted since that time is worth 2,000+ pesos Oppo F9 phone that I paid in installments from my friend, worth 16,000 at that time. And computer parts that cost 15k in total had it in installment payment too. Have you ever fallen off a bike? Lots of times, I couldn't count. I was even hit by a motorcycle and fallen off my bike. Have you ever eaten raw fish? I can't eat raw fish because I am allergic to seafood except for cooked fish. The only raw fish that I ate was sashimi if it counts. Have you ever sleepwalked? Nope. Have you ever appeared on TV? I think once when we used to watch UAAP volleyball games in Ateneo University gym. We were watching UST's game vs the university I forgot. We were rooting for UST so we sat on the bleachers then someone saw us cheering for them so they gave us a long yellow balloon. Then we formed it as U, S, and T. The next day in school, one of our classmates told us that she saw us on TV holding the yellow balloons and cheering for UST. HAHAHAHHA! Have you ever seen the sunrise? You all know the answer to this for I have been posting my sunrise photos here. The lead image was the sunrise photo I took last Sunday. Have you ever rode a cable car? Nope, no cable cars in Ph. Have you ever lost your wallet/purse? Yes, with my Ids in it huhu. Have you ever dropped your phone? So what! char, I have sooooo many times. Especially right now, after I gave birth. I noticed that my grip has been not gripping lately. Mom hands perhaps? Have you ever eaten really spicy food? I love spicy food but not the spicy that hurts the stomach. There's a good spicy flavor that doesn't burn your insides. Have you ever watched a play at the theater? Yes, yes, yes. Most of the time for a school project. Conversation Heals `11.09.22` Talking is the easiest way that a person can communicate but there were times that we would find talking difficult. Do you agree? Me, there are only a few people that I can open up with. There are specific people that I can talk to about a particular thing. I sometimes keep quiet and don't feel the need to talk but I need to let it out. I need to be healed. Why do people find it hard to open up? Scared of admitting our fears or mistakes Fear of judgment Rejection To avoid strong emotional connection or crying Doesn't feel emotionally safe. Who's up for discussion? Scared of admitting our fears or mistakes Most people think that admitting our mistakes or things that we fear is a sign of weakness. People who don't have any fears or weaknesses are just simply not normal. Fears and weaknesses are there for a reason, to make us stronger than yesterday. Opening up or admitting your mistakes is a sign of strength. Be brave enough to know yourself. Fear of judgment Keeping negative thoughts to yourself could be very unhealthy but people still do so because they are afraid of judgment. People tend to judge you by comparing your situation to theirs. Most of the time they would give you advice but there will be side-comments that they've been there and this and that, or you should do this or worse is the 'ako nga eh ganito' line. Rejection Love life, yes, and in other aspects too. Some people won't express what they feel because they fear rejection or heartache. Rejection is very demotivating but also gives you the motivation to move forward and find a new way not to be rejected again. To avoid strong emotional connection/crying Crying is a sign of being human not another sign of weakness. Some people hold back their tears because they even want to prove to themselves that they are strong enough to handle things on their own. It may work but not all the time. You'll still need to release your emotions so you can feel new to continue or start over again. Not emotionally safe Remember the recent issue between the vloggers? This is what happens after opening up to some people you think you can trust, they will not feel emotionally safe opening up to other people now, especially to new people in their lives. The trick is to open up to people who you are friends with for a very very long time or the ones who know you from every strand of your hair. I posted this afternoon that I'll be taking a break for today. I can help but post another article because I still have time to do so and because my best friend messaged me just in time that I needed her. She's my best friend that knows everything about me, literally. We've been friends since high school. She's my partner in crime, my enemy, and my soulmate. We would call, text, message, or even go to each other's homes whenever we want to share something about what was going on. We would meet up unexpectedly and call it an emergency hour but everything changed when she had a partner so possessive that I wouldn't even think that she'd have. She knows that we don't like her partner because she messes up with every meet-up that we plan. She even doesn't let my best friend have her own private time. I am still pissed that her partner is somehow taking her social life away from her. I/we can't even talk to each other thinking that I might be talking to her partner using her account. Anyway, it's been a while since we talked and had a deep conversation about life. I miss my best friend, I even miss her because she's planning to go out of the country and we might not see each other before she leaves. Early this afternoon, I was feeling down, dark, gray, or pale, but she messaged. I was surprised and since she was the one who messaged first I took advantage of it, and replied as fast and as much as I can. We talked about what was going on, I checked on her health too like I'd been bugging her for years now. I broke down while talking to her. I don't have someone to talk to. I don't talk about things like this to my sisters or other friends. I just need her and the timing was perfect. Talking to her was a relief on my part. We haven't talked like this for months. If I want to check on her I would text her so that her gf won't see it in her Fb messages or I would message her first by saying 'tol, pautang' (bro can I borrow money) which was a joke. If someone replies, I would know if it's her or her partner. I just knew that she had herself checked up at last, and confirmed that she has PCOS. Now she has sleep apnea and has been diagnosed with ADHD. I wasn't surprised that she has ADHD because she has a symptom that we thought was just a part of her personality, but little did we know that her insomnia was already developing as sleep apnea. It's pretty scary to know her condition thinking that she's going out of the country. She's my therapist, we are each other's talk therapist and I am sure that she missed that too. Having deep conversations with someone important in your life heals pain. Like she told me earlier, iba ang usap ng magasawa kesa sa kaibigan. My husband is busy until next week and he's on 3-week duty so yeah it sucks. Small but Big `11.08.22` Hey before we get your minds thinking about other stuff, this is just going to be random things that I noticed in our place. It's about the people around us, could be about the people in your place too. I am sharing this song that I am listening to while drafting this article. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n0H3RlaQVrM I haven't played songs like this since I got pregnant and I don't usually play genres like this when Lil B is asleep. Now, what got me playing this song, and while she's asleep? I'll tell you later. I just want to say that we adults should show or be considerate to other people, to the people around us. But how do we do that? Let me share a few things that I do or practice (depending on the situation) Be patient They say patience is a virtue. That's true, but I admit that I lack that myself. I wasn't blessed with such, maybe I was asleep when the world spread patience. Hey, I try hard to be as patient as I can be. Let me call that extending my patience. Giving a little more time on something might help you know more about what's going on. So yes, be patient. Value other people's time Hey another thing that I lack, just kidding. Of course, I do value other people's time, it just depends on how urgent the matter is and who's time am I gonna respect/value before I put other people's time to waste. Give the benefit of the doubt Oh, I do this a lot. In other words '*once is a mistake, twice is a coincidence and thrice is a pattern*. I usually apply this to new people that come into my life or the people I don't usually hang out with. This is very helpful in knowing them more like how you find a partner. Be mindful of your surroundings Don't be too selfish or self-centered. The world doesn't only revolve around you. You are not the center of the world, it's the core. Char! Anyway, one little or tiniest thing in the world may affect one's life. Apologize Saying 'SORRY' doesn't hurt you or kill you. Don't forget to admit that when you made a mistake or hurt someone. Always be kind to other people, this will make other people like you too. Alright, now let me release little feelings that I can't express because I have no one to talk to. Okay so, Lil B takes her afternoon sleep between 2 pm to 5 pm and sleeps for an hour or longer. In our apartment, we are staying on the first floor. Kids are allowed and most of the tenants on the first floor have babies. What I don't like is other people here are being so inconsiderate other people and I am getting irritated with the other tenants here. I've been here for almost three months and I think it's time that I can get to say what I observed by not judging them. I always try to observe other tenants here just to know if they do things unintentionally or not. **Unit B tenant** - We are staying in Unit C so Unit B is just beside ours. She's she heheheheh and as far as we observed she's living alone around the age of late 40s. My husband and I call her, '***the announcer***'. Every morning around 6 or 7-ish she leaves her door open. So anything that goes around her unit can be seen or heard. She usually has phone calls and talks so loud up to the point that we would wake up. I didn't mind her playing old songs in the morning while her door is open because that's music, but her voice isn't. She always sounded like she was angry or fighting. **The unit above ours -** we don't go upstairs but this guy who lives at the top of our unit keeps on dropping things and fell into our kitchen/service area. When my husband was still alone living here, he saw a plastic full of intestines or laman loob ng kung ano and rotting. Sometimes he drops his hangers and shirts too. **The unit on the 2nd floor with a newborn** - when Lil B and I transferred here, it was the time that they had a newborn. Our kumpare stayed overnight here too and we watched the movie Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World. We haven't arranged our things so we put the Tv/computer on the window side. Our tv's speaker was broken and so we can't hear much but we still made sure to lower the volume because it was nighttime. Then suddenly, we received a text from the care take to lower the volume more because they just had a newborn. Which we did and decided to sleep. We call them 'the newborn family'. **The montero** - my husband was pissed at the montero owner because he keeps on taking his parking spot. We had a delegated parking spot for each tenant and he keeps on occupying ours, maybe he doesn't know how to drive backward. So recently, what got me pissed the other day was the Newborn family. Wait here's what the 1st floor looks like. As you can see, motorcycles park here. There's a reminder or notice for the tenants to turn on/off their motorcycles outside before going into the garage. The other day, there was a car that parked here or let's say parked and wait without turning the engine off. After 5 to 10 mins, my husband said 'someone's burning gasoline and our room gets smoky. I was pissed and decided to open the door and looked at the car. A few minutes after I looked at their car, the driver turned off the engine. After 2 mins or more it turned on again and saw a woman carrying a baby from upstairs. My husband told me that it was the black Hilux and the newborn family. Of course, we understand how hard it is to have a baby but shouldn't they be more considerate because they know that there are babies here? 2nd thing I don't mind the sound of crying babies or playing kids BUT there is a borderline and the parents should at least advise the kids. Just this afternoon, Lil B was sleeping. Then suddenly a kid from the other house comes to the caretaker's unit and plays with their son. There was another kid, a girl who was playing with the caretaker's son. They were playing inside their unit first. A little bit loud but the room can contain it. Then when the neighbor kid came in, they went to the garage and played out loud. The girl was even screaming maybe because of what they'd been doing but it went on for 5 mins or more. Damn, my Lil can wake up at any moment. Then I decided to play a rock song and turned up the volume a bit so it can cover the loudness to a little rock music so Lil can sleep a little bit more. It worked. The Announcer annoys us the most. She still does it every single day except for the days that she wasn't home and I hope it stays that way. Char! Please be kind or at least considerate to other people. That's what I tell my husband all the time because it gets on his nerves and I can see and feel it. Me? I try and I have my little ways, but if I notice it in a pattern expect harsh words to come out of my mouth. Will I thrive on Hive? `11.07.22` I am not a reader, I love watching. I do not love novels or book stories, I love experiences. I wasn't that techy, but I love computers and computer games. I don't vlog or stream to earn, but now I learned to blog to earn. I was on Noise.cash at first, posting pictures, quotes, or short messages to earn BCH (that I have never heard of at that time), then here comes Read.cash. I've been here for more than a year now. I love the platform, the people, and the communities that we have here. I am very thankful to the people who shared information about other platforms where we can earn. I've been seeing other users like @Momentswithmatti posting on Hive. Of course, I got fascinated and checked it out then saw a glimpse of the platform. 'Oh, that's a bit more complicated than Read.cash', I thought but I would still love to try it soon. Months passed and I am loving what I am earning on Read, joining Hive slipped my mind. A few more months passed, and BCH dipped, I saw more users joining Hive, then more and more. I asked myself. 'Should I join now too?'. Given the time that I barely have, I still didn't go. What Happened to Saturday? `11.06.22` Who's Saturday? What's special about you, Saturday? It's the 7th day of the week and most people are looking forward to Saturdays to relax. Ooooh, interesting. Let me share what's interesting about my/our Saturday. My husband is still on duty but he still managed to get out of the office so he can breathe air from all of the things and stress he takes at work. He didn't have breakfast so he decided to go home and have lunch. Good thing that I was able to cook Adobo before he came home. We also had a scheduled apartment viewing because we will need to save money. Honestly, I find the cost of living in Tacloban is not what I expected. I thought everything would be slightly cheaper than living in Metro Manila. Imagine for 2 months, our electricity bill is over 2,000 pesos ($30 +) with only a few appliances. We only have 2 electric fans that run almost throughout the day, a computer, a fridge, a rice cooker, and an induction cooker. Whew! I even lessened usage of the rice cooker as I cook rice once a day to be consumed for lunch and dinner, but our electricity bill still went up. *Anyway...* Both of us were stressed about the expenses, shortage, and trying to make ends meet. One step is to downgrade the place where we are renting. Aside from the rent and expenses, we lost our designated parking space. My husband and I got a hunch that the neighbor bought the lot and they won't allow parking in there. So yeah, we are looking for a new one and we are supposed to view one apartment yesterday afternoon. When we got there and meet the person I talked to, the owner of the apartment left and didn't leave the keys. So we have to view it on another day, probably once my husband is available from work. We left and decided to go back home until we saw a rainbow. Then we passed by MacArthur Landing Park and my husband saw JJ and Cocomelon mascots. He said he'll park nearby so we can take pictures with them ahihi The rain was on and off. Good thing that it wasn't raining when we took pictures with JJ and Cocomelon. Lil B was so happy to see them. She even high-fived both of them, runs towards them while they were filming, and continued to wave bye when we left. Then we decided to buy snacks so Lil B can eat. Look what we found! My husband and Lil B got Takoyaki and I bought kwek kwek. I miss street foods huhu? I was even surprised that the Takoyaki was cheap and delicious compared to other pricy takoyaki that we have tried. We wanted to eat at the park but it rained again and decided to eat inside the car. The rain stopped at 5 pm and I asked my husband if we can still go around the park for at least 10 mins so Lil B can play for a bit. I love seeing big or tall trees. I feel like I live in a very very healthy environment when I see trees like that. It was already getting dark and we stayed for a few minutes more. My husband and I were being bitten by insects too. Don't worry, Lil B always wear mosquito-repellant lotion. We also saw couples under the tree and at the seaside. Yieeee, I took pictures just to see how sweet they are. I miss going on dates too. Well, us seeing Lil B so happy to see Cocomelon and JJ was the highlight of the day. We weren't able to get out for a few weeks because it rains either in the morning or in the afternoon. I know that my husband was still tired and needs to rest but he let us go out even for just a couple of hours. Octo-Dump `11.05.22` Here comes November! In little less than two months, we will say goodbye to 2022 and say hello to 2023. Are you excited about next year? I am getting a little bit excited that 2022 will end soon. Not because the Holidays are near but because I've been looking forward to a few things next year and I hope that we will be able to do what we are planning to do. Before we think and plan, I'd be happy to share or dump some photos that I captured on my phone last month. It may not be as interesting or may not have a quality shot but the memory behind it are high quality for me. Let's do 10 pictures or fewer. Here you go! October 2 **October 3** Lil B likes to play with boxes, bottles, papers, keys, brooms, canned goods, and other real-life household things. She gets one and sits at any corner of the house and plays with it. She doesn't have many toys here and all of her toys are in Manila. As much as I want to buy new toys for her, we can only afford a few and it's hard to look for a toy that will get her attention. She likes things that can challenge her physical and mental strength, but most of the time she loses her patience. I wonder where she got it from? HAHAHAHA October 6 This picture was captured when my husband went out for a jog along the seaside. It was later than the usual time that we want to jog. An afternoon jog would be nice, but daddy is busy. Lil B likes to walk around the area too and check out the dogs around. October 7 We celebrated a birthday in the coffee shop. While daddy and her godfather were playing the big chess recycled version, she immediately jumped on me and made didi. Perks of a breastfeeding mom. Good thing there was a nice couch there. October 10 Daddy went out for a cardio exam. We tagged along because I was the one who searched for the diagnostic labs that he can visit. It was a bit rushed and was about to close at that time. The staff there were also delighted by Lil B's presence as she waves Hi to them. October 12 We invested to buy Happy Meal toys for Lil B. I know that she will love to play with it as she used to play chef when one of her godmothers gave her a kitchen toy set. I sometimes bring her along with me when I cook if no one will look after her. Don't worry, I made sure that she was safe while I am cooking. October 16 This was the time when she had a high fever. Look at that face, she started to feel better but still has a fever. I remember the last time she had a high fever was when she was 6 months old. Her first couple of teeth were coming out at that time. Last month, her upper molars came out, and her fangs too. Imagine 4 teeth coming out at the same time. I know that pediatricians tell us that babies don't get fevers because of teething and they might get a fever for an infection. Good thing that she got better right away. October 23 There was a moth stuck in our window. Some say it's good luck and I am hoping for one now hahaha! October 28 We went out to buy groceries because was payday and look what we have to pass by to get out of our place. This was the time Paeng visited and devastated some areas. While daddy is checking out slippers because his slippers broke, Lil B checks out the baby section and found this. She even tried to suck on it HAHAHAHA! October 29 Whew! We visited my cousins here in Tacloban. They are our cousins on my father's side, who we never met. They live in the province and all of my father's siblings are lives around Metro Manila. I've met my cousin, Arlene when they went to Bicol with us. That was around 2014 and we haven't met them since. Now she has these cute little grandsons. Noise, Noice, Nice! `11.04.22` From a full-time stay-at-home mom to being a crypto blogger. Yes, that's me, and probably for some users here too. Can you still remember when, where, and how you started? Me, I started on Noise.cash. Noise.Cash I can't be more grateful that I joined this platform a year ago. I can still remember how I searched for online jobs and thinking how can I at least earn just by staying at home when I was still pregnant up until I gave birth. My sister was the one who found out about this platform and invited us to join. Unfortunately, out of my 3 siblings, I was the one who stayed on the platform. I enjoyed being on the platform as much as it gets. For more than a year, my account grew and reached 1069 subscribers. Been earning a few dollars especially back in December of last year. That was the time when I got to earn at least a dollar a day. I was so active back then until the BCH value dropped after Christmas of 2021. I continued to be a little less active on the platform and continued to see how the platform grew too. While I got busier in life, I try to post from time to time and suddenly had an on-and-off relationship with the platform. I was able to get Free tips now and then, lost it, and comes back after trying to be active again. I lost my free tips and my will to be active on the platform as spammers are everywhere, commenting nonsense that I tend to report. From Game of Thrones to House of Dragons `11.03.22` Have you watched the Tv series Game of Thrones? Are you a fan of the series or the books? I wasn't a fan of the book because I and my lazy eyes and brain can't afford to absorb all the story but I did watch the series. Last week its prequel House of dragons aired its last episode. I initially drafted this months ago, around August if I am not mistaken. I was supposed to make a blog about re-watching GOT (Game of Thrones) before the prequel House of Dragons (HOD) airs. Instead, I'll be sharing my thoughts and little insights about the said series. *disclaimer: This article will not contain spoilers if you plan to watch the series. I didn't read the book so I may say anything not correct when it comes to the story and might offend fans. Hihi* Alright! Let's begin. Oh let's do a quick recap of GOT first. The first season was aired in 2011 and ran for 8 seasons until 2019. The story focused on the Song of Ice and Fire Lots of characters to mention and a lot of characters died. Incest is also shown in the series for some reason. Nudes, nudes, nudes, and lots of nudes. Disappointing ending Well, most of the GOT fans got frustrated or most likely disappointed with how it ended. One of my sisters bought the books and read most of them. She hasn't read the last book yet because she doesn't have a copy yet. Well, she said the ending of GOT looked like it was rushed as they were already preparing for the next story/series. Non-novel fans mainly got hooked by its nudity in its first few episodes or on the first season. That's what I noticed and I knew some people who admitted it hahaha! regardless, they continued watching and waited for the next episodes and seasons until they got hooked up to the story. What did I like about GOT? Medieval setting I was always fascinated with this timeline, aside from the fancy gowns, kings, and queens, I like that there wasn't any technology at that time. Liberated and Violence We must admit that the world was once liberated and violent that's why generation by generation, people changed in different ways. But we don't have to forget that people were once like this and we should change for good. I remember that we used to watch the latest episodes of GOT in our office and waited every March or April for the next season of the following year. Back to the House of Dragons I planned to watch re-watch GOT before I watch HOD but 8 seasons were a bit longer and Lil B can't watch with me hahaha! Again, I didn't read the book because I am a lazy person who reads books. Anyway, this is mainly about what happened centuries before what happened on Game of Thrones. The history of why Targaryens and dragons became extinct and how they lost the throne to the King's landing. Season 1 The first episode was aired around August. Since we don't have a cable network, I wanted to download each episode but I could be a day late as they usually upload torrent files a day after. Good thing that when I checked my Gomo app, the offer of a monthly subscription is up! I didn't think twice to convert some of my data allocations for a month worth of subscription. It was 12GB by the way. Going back... We, I mean my husband and my sisters, find HOD well written than GOT. If you noticed in GOT, you can spot characters that you will like or hate just by their first appearance on the show. Here in HOD, you'll find it hard who to like or hate. Why? Because they'll give you enough reason or give you an understanding of why each character does such a thing. Oh, one more thing that I like about this series is the cast/actors that portrayed each character did a very great job! Production was great too. In HboGO, they also released behind-the-scenes footage per episode. I was even more amazed after I watched it. Last week, HOD aired its 10th episode and I wasn't expecting that it will be the last episode of its first season. The ending left us hanging and gives us the urge to wait for the next season. I can't wait to know more about what happened to the family who used to reign and what happened to the dragons. Another Month, Another Start `11.02.22` All Soul's Day is celebrated on the 2nd of November and we will always remember people who were once with us. Nahirapan ako maghanap ng skinny jeans kasi kahit payat ako malaki ang hita ko. Can I have it? `10.30.22` So many things that we want to get, and want to have. Some things can make us happy or at least we think can make us happy. As for me, I've been longing to do things that I used to do, used to have. Instead of thinking I can't have it anymore, let me make a wish list so that we can fulfill what my heart wants or needs. Let me start... For Lil B. She used to have toys when we were in my parent's house. She used to play with her toys now and then and rotated her toys to keep her attention and curiosity going. When we moved out and transferred here to Tacloban, we didn't bring all of her toys. We were only able to bring a couple of toys that were pocket size and can fit into our bag. We already bought her a few toys and books but seems like they didn't get her attention or fascination for too long. She wants things to play with like, cleaning, cooking, and other things that I usually do at home. I wanted to buy more complex **toys** for her to play with. I also wanted to buy a few things that we used to have back in Marikina, like a **stroller** to save my back from carrying her, and we need a **car seat** to keep her safe while we travel. For Husband **New sling bag** He's been using the Converse sling bag I bought around 2018. There was a Converse warehouse in Marikina and I bought it on sale along with a pair of shoes at that time. I gave that back for him to use because he used to have a very very small sling bag and I find it too small for the things that he usually brings. Now the zipper is broken and he needs a new one. It still lasted for years so it was all worth it. I don't want to buy a very cheap bag online because I can't check the quality and yet I don't have any budget to buy him a new one unless I use SpayLater as a payment option. **Fix his phone** This one I've done this one already. I ordered a battery online for his phone as he still wasn't used to using my phone. He still prefers using his old phone and we found a battery brand that is recommended by most techies from Reddit. It was a bit pricy around $20 but we feel that it's worth it, then buying an unbranded battery that only lasts a month. **Exercise** I want to exercise with him. When I say exercise, that's an exercise with S at the beginning. Char!! I admit that even after giving birth I still have that urge but don't have the time and energy to do so. Having a baby gets in the middle of it all!! **Play computer games** My husband and I love to play mobile games, watch movies and play computer games. We used to play Mobile Legends when we were still dating and during lockdowns. Then when I got pregnant, we used to play COD or left 4 dead. He also gifted me a Batman Arkham Knight on Steam before I gave birth. Now we purchased Fall Guys from Epic Games and got it for free but we have yet to play that game. We don't have the time to play together. We all know the reason why hahaha! **Date** Our relationship went so fast and we missed hanging out. We used to go on dates before the pandemic hit. For me **Tattoo** It's been years since I had my last tattoo. I would love to get another one. I want it to be a symbol of my family. I have 4 tattoos which are reminders for me to keep going. Now I want to have something to remind me of my family and something to look at when I feel like the world is turning on me. **Earrings or piercings** My husband has been reminding me to buy earrings because they might close soon. Aside from having tattoos, ear piercings tend to divert the emotional pain to physical pain which I can endure. **Hair dye** I haven't dyed my hair for a while now. I mean with vibrant colors. I used to change my hair colors every month since 2010. **Nail polish** I also have a mannerism to biting my nails and having nail polish somehow prevents me from doing it. **Fix my teeth** Looks like my teeth are misaligning now. Plus I haven't been to a dentist since I got my wisdom tooth removed. Now my teeth are starting to have things that I don't want and I may end up losing my teeth too soon hahaha! **Clothes** I gained weight since I gave birth and all of my clothes don't fit anymore. I got clothes which are hand-me-downs from my sisters. I don't mind having hand-me-downs but the thing is most of my clothes are in Bulacan. I only have a week worth of clothes here with me in Tacloban. Now I am a legit 'hubadera' in the house HAHAHAHA I may have the things that I want right now because I have to put first what Lil B and my husband needs. My wants are not that urgent so I can still wait and save money so I can have them soon. Being a mother puts all of our needs and wants the last thing on the list. I am just waiting for the time that we can recover financially and have things in-line again. Home day `10.28.22` It was a gloomy fine day yesterday. I was happy that the sun went out again because I worry about the weather and Tacloban was one of the places that Yolanda hit years ago. Knowing typhoons are coming before the year ends, I don't know what's gonna happen. It's our first time staying in a place I am not familiar with and we have yet to see what happens at this time of the year. From the title, you might already know how our day went. I and my husband both love staying at home rather than going to the mall, but we do love going to spots or places that don't have lots of people so we can enjoy the scenery. My husband was supposed to go to his office in the afternoon to get his motorcycle repaired. He was feeling a little bit cold because we slept the other night with the fan pointed toward him. He's got a cold. Reasons for staying at home Petsa de Peligro The husband had a cold Almost bed weather Yes, pets de Peligro and we are just waiting for his salary so we can buy groceries. We don't have any budget now until his salary comes. The husband felt sneezy yesterday. Instead of going to his office in the afternoon, he just rested. We thought it's gonna be a sunny day all day but around the afternoon, it became gloomy again with no rain. While Lil was taking her afternoon nap, I decided to play Mobile Legends. My husband saw me playing and asked me to join him in the next game. I picked a marksman hero and then he picked the panda. I got pissed hahaha! Playing mobile games and sometimes computer games have been our pastimes even when we were still dating. We used to play Call of Duty Mobile when I was still pregnant and we've played Left 4 Dead. He wants me to play GTA5 but I don't like playing it. It's pretty time-consuming. Banana merienda I've been craving saba banana recipes lately. Boy, I miss the food that we can easily buy when we were in my hometown. Here in our place in Tacloban, there's one convenience store but it's a 5 min walk distance. There's no karinderya, bakery, or even a store that sells merged. We usually have to go out to buy or another option is food delivery. The thing is the delivery fee costs as much as one order. Lil loves bananas too. I am glad that she still ate fried bananas. I thought she will not like it. Suddenly, my husband asked me if we can get the motorcycle at his office and if I can drive alone. I can but the worry is Lil b. I have to put him in the backseat, the thing is we don't have a car seat yet. We felt bad because we have to put her there alone and a little dark, without a car seat but we still put on the seatbelt. She was crying at first as it was new to her. Then all it takes is to watch her favorite videos. Sorry baby, we'll buy one on Shopee don't worry. SpayLater keeps us going in times like this. Mommy will grind harder. Rawr! Then around 7 pm, we decided to order takeout. We don't have anything to cook at that time. The husband decided to go to Andok's. He reminded me that he used to go there most of the time. He spends almost half of his day there before. We ordered sinigang and chopsuey and waited for a few minutes and suddenly a crew asked us what's our order. Seems like he's looking for us but can't find who ordered it. It's because Lil b was playing with the queue number hahaha. The wind was strong last night too and now it's been raining since 4 am. We also received an alert that rainfall is on red alert. We better get ready just in case. Good thing it's payday! I took a risk and got nothing. `10.27.22` Did you ever have a time in your life wherein you felt like you are useless? Nothing you do is enough? No efforts were counted as efforts? It got me frustrated and desperate, so I took a chance, I took a risk. I suddenly remembered when I tried to look for something that I earn with, something to hustle with. I was pregnant and about to give birth at that time, with no job and being a full-time bum. I just simply don't want to be a burden to my own family. I stopped working when I knew I was pregnant. I didn't have to but there was a fear inside me when my sister had a sensitive pregnancy and she ended up not enjoying her pregnancy at all, she just laid in bed for most days until she gave birth. Knowing myself and my stress levels, I was afraid that it could also happen to me. I asked my boyfriend (now husband) if it was okay for me to stop working and if he'll support me financially all the way, and he agreed right away. Months after I gave birth, my father turned 65 years old and needed to retire. He already asked for an extension so we can have more time to plan our finances and house situation. We were only renting and our father's income only got us going. He's been in the same government office for more than 20 years, he was a gardener by the way. Months before he retired, we got an estimate of his retirement pay. We were expecting a bit much because of the years that he worked there. I've been searching for other ways to earn online like being a Transcriptionist, encoder, back office support, or even a freelancer. I tried however, I was pregnant at that time and I can't afford to stay seated for too long while taking the assessment. My big pregnant tummy and my scoliosis made my back hurt. I passed by this Tiktok video and checked other feedback from Fb that it's a legit paying platform. The only catch is you need to pay for a certain plan so you can earn as much as twice what you paid for. What you only need to do is to encode or type what's in the pdf file, which is a copy of a book claiming they are looking for encoders to digitalize it. See the plans that they offer, interesting right? I mentioned this to my friend and luckily (unfortunately pala) that she knows someone who's in it too. She got referred and assisted to be in a team so she can start typing and earning. She got the lowest one-time user plan at that time, 5,000 pesos ($100). Within more than 10 days, she got her first earnings there. I let her join first, and she agreed and will let me know her feedback so I can join too. Right after she got her money, she told me that the Supreme Plus plan will end and they will change subscription types. I thought I can still make it if I availed the plan. As a person who is desperate to earn money, I bit the bait. I asked to join and availed the Supreme plus plan for 18,000 pesos ($360). You might be wondering where did I get the money? I used my maternity benefits. I still have the remaining 20,000 pesos at that time and decided to '*invest'* it in joining Kinney. I transferred the funds to our Team Leader and got my credentials, worked double time while Lil B was sleeping so I can finish the job right away and wait for the payout. Suddenly, the date for my payout came and I didn't get it on time. My friend assured me that it might be delayed for a few days, just like what happened to her first subscription but she got the money. Weeks passed and we were informed that there was a delay in the payment due to the management overseas. They kept on assuring us that they were working on it. Some reasons were because they updated the website, the finance team has fewer people and Kinney is growing, etc. They even asked the members to open an account in All Bank, a digital bank which later on known wasn't registered in BSP. Months passed and people in our team kept on following up with our team leader. It's been more than a year now and we still haven't heard from them. Some members in different areas of the Philippines even filed cases, reached out to Raffy Tulfo In Action, and did other things that we can do just to at least get our money back or to put them behind bars. Nothing happened, yet, and some people might still be hoping as they invested or availed the long-term plans. Our money just vanished into thin air and went into the arms of those scammers, who now have cars, luxury cars even, houses, and might have fled to other countries. I hope Karma hits them hard. Blurry Nights `10.26.22` I remember how I used to go out in our garden and stare at the sky during the night. I remember how relaxing it is to enjoy your time alone just staring at the stars and thinking about nothing. I seem to not have the luxury to do that anymore. I am still thankful that we have a chance to go out even just for a few minutes. My husband decided to put jogging as his routine so he doesn't worry about his next annual physical exam. Last night he went out to jog and of course, we tagged along. We were supposed to go to Biliran for his work in the afternoon but his appointment got canceled. By the way, I cooked pork adobo with tanglad (lemongrass) for our supposedly take-out lunch. I didn't think that it would taste good. I am loving putting lemongrass on our food now. Anyway, we got out a bit late because Lil b fell asleep. As soon as she woke up, we got our feet going. It was around past 5 pm when we got there. My husband usually runs along the seaside near MacArthur Park. When he started jogging, Lil B and I walked and decided to have a snack. I wanted to take pictures of her cause she looks like a boy hahaha. She doesn't want to stay still and continued to be as playful as she is. I decided to hold her hand instead... AAAAAH still no decent picture! Anyway, we continued to walk and whenever Daddy passed by she runs toward him. Oh, I also thought I was seeing things in the sky. It was already dark and I thought I saw the sky in green color. I asked my husband and pointed to the spot. Then he mentioned that it might be the lights on the San Jaunico Bridge. Oooooh yes, that must be it. Then we continued walking and I saw a light above the sea. I was thinking that I might get a good picture of the gram or the noise. Check this out! Oh, that's too far... Did the Earth Shake again? `10.25.22` Another lifesaver for today. Feeling a little blank and just want to stare at something or sleep early. Wait, I got bills to pay so I better draft another article for later. By the way, I am drafting this around 12 am so I can post it a bit later. Thanks to our friends @Adrielle1214 and @Jeaneth for sharing these random questions. Now it's my turn and it's kind of timely. Let's get to it! **Have you ever experienced an earthquake?** I remember one video from I think a vlogger or someone, that in other countries they get alarmed when they experience an earthquake. Here in the Philippines, we are kind of used to it. My answer to this question is yes. In fact, I felt it last night around 11 pm while Lil B and I were lying in bed. Our bed is a heavy metal double deck, so it can't be easily moved. I felt the bed shake for a few seconds. I knew it was an earthquake and I messaged my husband immediately. My mind was actually battling between if there was a ghost or not but I am pretty positive it was an earthquake. After 10 minutes, I checked on FB if it was really an earthquake or if it was just my imagination. There you go! It's confirmed that it wasn't my imagination. Now I feel that something is about to happen. Oh boy, I really hope not. **Have you ever been to another country?** No, not yet. I don't even have a passport yet. If I will be given a chance to go to another country, I would like to go to Europe. I just want to be exposed to people who have British accents because I find it sexy hahahaha! **Have you ever burnt food while cooking?** Yes, so many times I've lost count! I remember when I was a kid, we used to cook rice on a stove because we don't have a rice cooker at that time. Then whenever I forgot that I am cooking the rice, it gets burned. My mother will scold me nonstop until my ears crack and made me realize that rice shouldn't be wasted or rice is precious for us Filipinos because **rice is life!** **Have you ever played a practical joke on someone?** Yes, having silly friends makes it worth it. I don't do practical jokes but my besties and I do practical jokes either on each other or we ganging up on strangers or one of us. I remember when we were still in high school, we used to go to the Riverbanks after our classes or girl scout meeting or whenever we have time. We will pass by Marikina Market at dawn and there will be a lot of people walking there too. One time we shouted 'OY BENTE OH! (Look, twenty pesos!) then we will point somewhere down the street and the people near us who were just passing by will also look down as if there was a poop on the street. After they looked, we will just walk ahead like nothing happened. Another one was looking up in the sky, then other people will take a look up in the sky too. Once they look, we will again walk ahead laughing quietly. Once we get far enough, we can laugh out loud about the people who looked up too. Itzeeeeeeeeeh! `10.24.22` Itzy's back! Back again. Itzy's back. Tell a friend. Guess who's back, guess who's back, guess who's back. Tararaaaaaa. Oops! I caught up with the tune of Eminem's song. Sorry, my bad. I was just happy to see Itzy is back again with their new song, Boys like you. Oh, by the way, I am not a hardcore fan. I just know the songs that have music videos because I love the choreography of their songs. I don't buy merch, I don't download their full album, and I don't watch interviews or vlogs. I just simply admire all 5 of them as a group. I know that there are a lot of kpop groups who have great dancers too but there is something in that group that seemed to gather my attention. Let me share the reasons that I know about Itzy. Choreography - I think their choreography suits their group. The moves weren't so girly but not too strong. Style - as mentioned, they weren't too girly and not too teenager-ish. Just enough for hip-hop/pop dance moves. Dance skills - I know that not all of them are good dancers but the group has a way of hiding other members' weaknesses but still doesn't look like a weakness. They simply complement each other's moves. Steady vocals - they are one of the kpop groups I admire who can dance well and sing live without effort or at least stable at the same time. Body type - this caught my attention as they weren't a typical girl group who was supposed to be in a Korean Beauty standard. I love that some of the members have ticker thighs than others. I take having thick thighs as a sign of a dancer for me. Current thoughts From their previous single, Sneakers, I felt like their vibe changed. I also noticed that my favorite members, Ryujin and Chaeryeong, kind of lost weight. I don't know if it was just my eyesight but I felt that their energy in dancing changed too. I didn't do further research about their lifestyle though because I don't have time and I don't like being a superfan because I may turn one HAHAHAHA. Anyway, for me, they are now giving me a Red Velvet vibe. Don't get me wrong, I like Red Velvet too. I like them because of their strong vocals. It's like I like different groups for different reasons and based on my preference. Standing Over the Ledge `10.23.22` I never thought of doing such a thing. I hated it, now I am becoming what I've hated. How could I do such a thing? I was a little bit on or over the edge lately. I was kind of a bit uncomfortable being for the last couple of days. I cried my eye, heart, and soul out for some reason I don't know. I need help. I thought I can hold it much longer. Don't ask me what I did. It was horrible. I tried going to NCMH's registration as they offer a free consultation but to no avail. I guess it wasn't my lucky day or I am bad luck perhaps? I am going crazy and I need someone to tell me that I am going crazy or else I may not be the same person I thought I was anymore and turn into someone that I don't want to be. I decided to tell a close friend. I decided to tell my sisters about it. I want to let them know that something happened and it's all my fault. I want to warn them about me. It helped a bit. I ended up deactivating my Fb account but turned it back on as we are searching for a new place. I want to go back to the place where I can go free. I want to go back to the place where there are people close to me. I want to go to the supposedly new home that we haven't stayed in. I wanted my identity back. Maybe my mother was right. Am I not ready yet or was it just my mind? Yesterday, my husband and our kumpare dropped by at home. It was hard to contain my emotions from the things that I did, from the things that were bothering me. While Lil B was asleep, I told my husband that I will go out for a little bit. I grabbed the 100 peso bill (10$) that I only have in my wallet and grabbed my cap and went out. I was just planning to buy Coca-cola to relax. When I got to the store, I suddenly bought a cigarette. I felt like I need it instead of going crazy on my own. I need a little something to make me feel I was me again. The cigarette helped me calm and relax. I was walking back home and saw my husband waiting for me as he's searching for me all along. He thought I walked out. He didn't hear me say, I'd go out. He didn't get angry that I smoked, instead, he was worried. I took another hit on my cigarette and went back in as if nothing happened. Our kumpare brought along shrimp and crabs. Yummy for someone who's allergic like me. He'll cook it for dinner and go out too. He bought a few ingredients at a nearby store. My husband and I decided to go out and follow him too. It was raining but as soon as the rain stopped, we saw a rainbow. Looks like the world is telling me that there's a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Lol, just kidding. There's still a rainbow after the rain. I can still be me again. Just a little bit more, things will go our way. Anyway, we had this delicious seafood for dinner. Good thing that it's fresh enough so I didn't get severe allergic reactions. Antihistamine helped too. Another good thing is that Lil b is not allergic to shrimp and crabs, good for you little one! You and daddy can bond over seafood. So much for being a little over the edge yesterday. Now let's be human again. Bye. I am Nobody `10.21.22` I remember a friend who used to say that he is just a 'nobody'. I know that it was just a joke but he simply wants to lay low on his personal life. I am a nobody too. Last night, I felt that hard. I am a nobody here in a place where no one knows me. I am a nobody but a person who is just stuck at home and being a mom. I am freaking out. I am afraid of myself and sometimes I even want to vanish into thin air. I wanted to deactivate my account again, but I can't seem to find the deactivate button on my account. I hate that Fb updates all the time. Instead, I deleted friends from my list. And now I am down to... When I was browsing my friends' list, I can seem to be annoyed by duplicate accounts. Some people not only have 2 accounts but more. Don't get me wrong, I have 2 accounts too but my other account is just simply a backup account. Reasons for having more than one social media account More privacy Online seller account Poser/Fake/ Stalker account Game request account Back up account I thought of deleting my 2nd account permanently before but I thought that it may somehow come in handy soon. It did. I only added a few friends and my sisters on that account, basically I have less than 10 friends there. I use it to send details, shared posts, and references for myself so I don't have to dig into my conversations with other people. I know, it looks like I am talking to myself but who cares. I am just a nobody. I also don't know why I don't like displaying my friends' list to other people too. I am not famous and I just don't like the feeling of displaying most information about myself. I even find it creepy that I have a few followers that I don't even know. I know when social media became so accessible to people, we'd like to add all the people that we know so we can have more friends. Just like in my Friendster days, the more testimonials you have on your profile, the more friendly and famous you are. Who wouldn't want fame? I once thought of that as a goal too but now, fame is not what I like. I like a peace of mind. I don't want other people checking out my posts and saying things like this and that. I know that some of my relatives also do that, comparing or having comments about some things on my posts. That's why it has been a few years now that I only use my Fb account as a photo album. I only upload pictures there so I can look back on these memories. Back to unfriending... There were lots of people I unfriended. Most of them are duplicate accounts and some people there were just friends of friends that I met once. Some of them were college friends that I don't like to hang out with. Some of them were co-workers from my previous employers. Some of them are my teachers. I unfriended them. I unfriended the people who don't have a big impact on my life. Now, I am down to 888 people on my list. I plan to unfriend more people soon. I just need to sleep last night and bring back my energy, emotions, and state of mind. Orders Received! `10.20.22` Did you check out the items on your cart last payday sale? December is getting quite near and who's up for shipping gifts online? I did check out but it wasn't for Christmas gifts, it's for Lil B. By the way we left all of Lil B's toys in Marikina. We only brought a couple of toys here when we traveled to Cebu and Tacloban. It's hard to keep her busy because she only has a few toys to play with. Plus she really has short attention span even in watching Tv. Perks of being a breastfeeding mom, isn't it? We also decided to buy a few things so that can help us in some ways at home and I told that I will buy something. He asked for the link and checked the reviews and got a go signal to check out. Here are the items that we bought and both of them got delivered yesterday. Lil B loves to get the broom while either of us sweep the floor. Sometimes it gets to the point that she will cry if we get it out of her hands. Now she has her own cleaning toy set. We call it 'Child Labor Starter Kit' I added a few more items just to take advantage of the shipping fee. Take note that shipping fee in provincial areas are more pricy that's why I added these water books. She's liking it as of the moment. Not so messy because you only need to put water in the pen. This also prevents Lil b from writing on walls or anything that she's not supposed to write on to. Here is one of our best buy at the moment. We didn't bring her highchair from Marikina. It's made of wood and not travel friendly. While we are stuck here in Tacloban, Lil B has been sitting on an adult chair with no back rest which made it hard for me to feed her. She also drops a lot of food and I need more time to clean the floor. But after eating most of the time I find it hard to clean the floor properly because either she wants to get the broom and mop or just wants to stick by my side. Looks like she's loving it too. Last night when we were about to go to bed, she's still pointing at the highchair and wants to sit there. Now I can somehow wash the dishes, cook or clean while she's eating or having a snack or just playing while sitting. My back is saved too! I didn't even expect the quality of this product. I think it's great for its price too. I actually purchase these products and paid via SPayLater for 3 months installment. Paying in installment may have a little interest but that way, I can spare or save a little bit at the same time too. Quick morning in Carigara `10.19.22` We had a chance to get out of the house yesterday. Just to bring Lil B out in the world and let her see other things aside from my face and the 4 corners of our unit. While we are getting back on our daily routine, I am gonna take my chance to post a little something about what happened yesterday. My husband had to do some quick work while it is still his day off. He needed to go to Carigara. I asked him the other day if he wants us to come along with him. Carigara is just at least an hour away from Tacloban. I was thinking that we will need to spend a few hundred more for our meal if we will come with him but my husband wants us to go anyway. We will need to get off around 6.30 am so that we can make it on time for his appointment. He initially planned to buy breakfast and drive-thru a fast-food chain, but instead, I woke up around 5 am and prepared a little breakfast. I cooked fried rice and prepared Lil B's toast that we will bring once she's up. I slept for only a couple of hours because I was still wide awake until 2 am, instead of staring at my phone I drafted articles to post for that day. We got off at 7 am because my husband checked the things that he needed just to be sure. I told him that we can take turns driving and going home too. That way, I can practice my driving skills too, and practice how to deal with *kamote drivers*. While we were just a few minutes away from our destination, Lil B fall asleep again. My husband got off to his work and left us in the car while Lil B is still sleeping. We called our sisters via video call in Marikina when she woke up and fed her breakfast again. Then around 9:30 am, I decided to go out of the car and roam around the place. I don't know what is this. If there is someone from Carigara here, can you tell me what this is? It is a port? I'm just intrigued. I grew up in Marikina so I don't have any knowledge about the sea or anything that you can see beside the sea. Anyway, we walked around for a few minutes and suddenly my husband called and asked me where we are. He's done with the job he needed to do that day. Good thing that he decided to bring his drone. So we can do a little something there. He had his drone long before we started dating and he bought it on Carousell. Yes, it was a 2nd hand drone. My husband wants to compile videos of us so we can have something to watch when Lil B grows up. Unfortunately, it was getting hot that time and the drone's battery drained faster. My husband also needs more practice on how to use his drone. It's been a while since he used it. There were times that Lil B doesn't want to let go of me and when I do, she had these *tampo* moments like she doesn't want to talk or look at me, or even smile in pictures like this. We went home afterward and I got the chance to drive again. My husband noticed that I got a little risky in driving or getting more confident but since I don't have a driver's license yet he told me not to do such a thing. He also noticed that I lost control of stepping on the brakes and now I know how tiring driving can be even if it's an automatic car. We were supposed to eat at the Family Chicken diner, we love the chicken there for some reason. When we almost got to MacArthur park area, some police stopped us and told us the streets were closed because the president had a surprise visit, so we have no choice but to turn around. We decided to buy *lutong ulam* for a change and we passed by a *carinderia.* My husband bought beef something and munggo. I was surprised that the beef cost 60 pesos for a small serving. Whew! I should've.. `10.18.22` Let me get back on track with the 30-day writing challenge. I'm done with a few more topics/days, and the remaining topics seem to be interesting. Hmmm... How long will it take me to finish the last 5 topics? Where were we? Day 26? Write about an area in your life that you'd like to improve This is a hard one to think through. I don't know exactly what I would like to improve aside from the fact that I want to improve my whole being. There are too many areas in my life so to say, but this topic should only be for one area in my life. Money matters Yes, that's my answer. I would like to improve my financial status or capability. Most of us do. Most people would aim to get a job that can get them a high-paying salary or at least meet their needs. If you think that I may be the ***'money can buy happiness***' type, no I am not. I just want to live comfortably and when you get old or reached the stage of adulting, you'll realize a few things. I did realize a few things that I should've done when I was still single and had a job. **Save** **Invest** **Insure** **Educate** *If you have thoughts to add, feel free to mention them in the comments section. :) Past jobs Let me give you a little background... I am a graduate Bachelor in Office Administration, Major in Corporate Transcription it is a secretarial course and we can explore the world of corporate, medical, and legal offices. I was a working student when I was in college. I earn minimum wage and just enough to get my daily allowance from my salary. I still ask my parents for tuition fees if my budget from my salary is short. Just to let you know, I graduated from a state university wherein our tuition fee is just around a thousand pesos (20$). Earning minimum wage (around 400 pesos or $8) per day for a part-time job is enough for me to go to work, school, and eat. My first job after I graduated was as a part-time teacher for kids. It was just a 2-month deal but I managed to earn at least around 4,000 per class. I got around 2 to 3 classes in 2 months. Project Assistant. I took my chances to find jobs in the working capital of the Philippines, Makati. I got hired by one of the known Telecommunications Companies namely, Smart Communications. I got excited to be employed by a such company but certain things happen and my salary wasn't enough. They offered new hires a minimum wage but you can work overtime at home every weekend if you like. The thought that it could be a good deal enough for me, I took the job. By the way, I wasn't a direct hire from that company but we were hired by a third-party company that deploys contractual employees to other companies. The contractual period was supposed to be 6 months and it is yet to decide if your supervisor would like to hire you permanently. Unfortunately, there were other Project assistants in other departments that weren't regularized after 6 months. With no assurance that we will be regularized and expecting a little salary raise, I left the company. I just want a little raise so I can have enough Legal secretary. I tried my luck in a legal office wherein my friend recommended me to replace her position. I took the offer right away as it seems like they are a good company. Minimum wage salary with a few allowances, overtime rate, and hoping for a good working environment. Well, some expectations were met, but there were unexpected things too. I didn't like how my colleagues took advantage of me as a new employee and the senior partner in that firm was too arrogant as if no one can make mistakes in the first few weeks or months of hire. I can say that being a call center agent got me a better-paying salary/job in exchange for my patience char! Although I got through it, I did regret not doing something financially. All I did was buy food that we can't afford before, drink with friends, and buy hair dyes, shoes, clothes, or other things that we didn't do or have when we were young. I didn't even **educate** myself financially, thinking that I was too young for it and that I need to enjoy my salary the best that I can. I didn't even **save** or even thought of saving. Spending all my money until the last peso was my need. I didn't even **invest** in something for a long-term purpose like a house or perhaps a business. I didn't even get **insurance** for me or my parents. Now that I have my own family, I blame my parents for not teaching us such. There were not to blame by the way. Maybe I got used to doing what I saw they are doing, how they spend but not educating myself to save money for myself or my future. All I know back then was I need to get a decent job that can help us with our finances.
