July Dump [KirstenCassandra's Tortuous Life] *Salt air, and the rust on your door* *I never needed anything more* *Whispers of "Are you sure?"* *"Never have I ever before" ♫ ♬* Playing ***August*** by ***Taylor Swift*** hihi. How are you doing? It seems like only yesterday that I wrote my June Dump, and now I'm back with my July behind-the-scenes. I'm not sure if this will be interesting, but let me see what I can come up with. Hehe. 1. Bad Decisions Woah! Kinda heavy for the first one. I wore my freshly washed white sneakers because, well, why not? Lol. I think it'll go well with my OOTD, and I don't think it'll rain, so yeah. I went to the village's clubhouse to run an errand for my boss, and it was a hot day, so I hid under a tree for a while. I was thinking about nonsensical things when dark clouds appeared and it began to rain. It had gotten muddy and wet. I don't even recognize my sneakers after that. *dramatic* 2. I'm Sorry "Apologize to someone who wronged you." That will not work for me. I am the type of person who takes great pride in herself. I didn't apologize if I knew I wasn't at fault. I want the other side to learn from their mistakes and not tolerate them. But if I've done something wrong to others, I apologize countless times, I overthink it, and I can't sleep knowing that someone is upset with me. Maybe that's my toxic personality trait for myself. I let myself suffer and be damaged since, after all, it was my fault. 3. Afraid of Heights? Nah! My dad had exposed me to lofty heights since I was a kid, so I was not afraid of them even if I reached this age. Maybe that's also why I've been able to hold my job in the telecom industry up until this moment. I remember back then, whenever my dad and I couldn't sleep because of our insomnia, we go up to the attic on our way to the roof and sit on the edge of our two-story house, talking about random things until we yawned and decided to go to bed. Missed those times. That's the coolest thing about my dad; he never stops me from doing whatever I want. He trusted me so much, unlike other dads who restrict their daughters from stepping on the ground rather than let them decide for themselves. My dad taught me to be a tough princess with a sword, but if I did something stupid, I had to face the repercussions on my own. 4. I Read the Energy and Adjust I am an **introvert** with **extroverted** energy, but also apprehensive that my social batteries may run out. You might not believe it, but I'm a quiet person. I always want to be alone, putting on my cardigan and sitting alone in the grass in dreary weather, minding my own business and reading books. But if I have to interact with other people, I can adapt the room's energy, but I have a **social battery meter**. My energy is limited. So if it runs out, I'll have to go home and charge myself. 5. Intrusive Thoughts My bebuu says I'm darn cute in this photo, but I didn't even post it on my socials, so it's included in July Dump. Lol. Do you ever feel tempted to cut your precious charger cable for whatever reason? Or when you pass by a fire alarm and want to trigger it? That's pretty normal, I suppose. Let's just wait and see who comes out on top. Hehe. 6. Sitting with the Monster My camera roll seems to be somewhat darkish, don't you think? Since then, I've been keeping my thoughts to myself. I don't want to talk about it. I merely write this in my journal to clear my head and then burn it in a fire. But now that I have someone prepared to listen to my dark thoughts, I think I should face it and do something about it rather than dwelling with the monster within me alone. 7. Villains Get Sick Too Just don't mind my growing nail; I didn't have time to go to the salon and get it fixed. That was two weeks ago, I believe. Isn't it true that when you're not mentally well, your immune system suffers? I guess it is. I started off with a sore throat, then sneezed and coughed, and then had a cold the next day. I thought I'd gotten covid again, but thankfully not when I had myself tested. That's the most distressing part of being away from home. You have to stand alone and force yourself to recover. Thankfully my family, close friends, and, of course, the bebuu are all checking in on me, even if just virtually, from time to time to make sure I'm fine. 8. Salt in Coffee Is it just me, or do you also put salt in your coffee? Haha. You know what, you should try it. You're missing half of your life if you shouldn't. Lol. I want my tastes to be balanced at all times, so if I eat something sweet, I need something salty to balance it out. It's kinda odd, but it's a personal preference so idgaf. 9. Cassidy Such a cutie. That's not my daughter, you silly. The bebuu and I aren't prepared for such a charming disruption. Haha! That's my niece. She was named after me because I am definitely her dad's favorite cousin. Lmao. I used this photo to wish her a happy birthday last week. Cassidy is about 8 years old now, and I haven't seen her because they live far away from us. I'm hoping to meet her one day so I can teach her some of my "attitude," right? 10. Golf Course We went to a golf course last Thursday to settle some personal business. I merely took a picture of a little umbrella there to show my 4'11" friend who I'm teasing, lol. Don't get me wrong, I really love that person! Hehe. 11. Stressed Smol Bean She is stressed as if she is being scolded by her boss, but she is not. Haha! Ohh, that angle accentuates my curved sole. Lol. That night, the bebuu and I had a teeny tiny argument, and my friend took this photo of me. This month has been tough for us since we're both stubborn as hell, admit it, bebuu. Lmao. We're still working on mending our conflicts one by one, and we know that such petty fights are part of the process of getting to know each other better, not a barrier to keep us apart. 12. First Book Printed Finally! I finished my first ever series **The Tale of the Two Princes** and planned to make a softbound version to give as a gift to whom I dedicated the book. I hope he likes it. https://read.cash/@KirstenCassandra/the-tale-of-the-two-princes-vying-for-the-throne-part-1-eb1695cc Yellow! 💛 Just did some freewriting since I'm still resting my mind and processing what I wrote in my story, which ended last week. I know this isn't much, but I hope you liked reading it. Until my next behind-the-scenes post. Santé!

The Tale of the Two Princes : Epilogue ***Since that day***, no one has known Prince Nathan, every detail about him has been obliterated; even the royal family and servants he has been with since he was a child were unaware of his existence. The timeline was bent back to the days when Esmeralda left King William to the queen. They believe King William is the only son and heir of Alveria's last king and queen. They don't have a biological son, so King William ascended to the throne in the present time. A year after the coronation of King William and Queen Amelie, the kingdom of Alveria became renowned as the most civilized country in the world. This kingdom became a source of supplies for other states, such as rice, sugar, coffee, crops, coil, petroleum, and other necessities. The Kingdom of Alveria grew to be the wealthiest of all. Esmeralda is now the castle's chief chef, and Percy is her sous chef; at the same time, they're learning to read, write, and count, something they were previously withheld because of their poverty. The old lady, on the other hand, took the painting in which Prince Nathan is incarcerated in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by *elm trees*—a doorway to the underworld and unearthly realm. She opened the door of a decrepit structure, but inside were some exquisite paintings. After placing her new collection on a waiting gold easel, she vanished. ***One hundred years later***, a brave young lady traveled within the forest and saw the decrepit structure from the outside. Some people told her not to enter the old building since it was crumbling and she would get trapped inside, but she was stubborn and still went in. She got her thumb slit by a sharp nail as a result of her recklessness, and a lot of blood gushed out of her finger, but that didn't stop her from infiltrating the place. She entered the door and noticed various magnificent canvases all around the place, but her gaze was pulled to a painting on a gold easel. It's a painting of a periwinkle-colored castle perched above the sky, surrounded by a rainbow and unicorns. That made her happy not just because it was beautiful, but also because periwinkle is her favorite color and she couldn't help but touch it. Her wounded hand's blood seeped into the painting. She did all she could to get rid of it, but the blood spread instead. She brought back the painting to its easel and reached for her wallet, trembling, to pay for the damaged painting, but she heard someone in her back say, ***"You found me."*** (You may read the young lady's diary **here**.) https://noise.cash/post/lvq374jv What to read next? **The Direwolf Sorcerer and the Vampire Witch: The Prophecy | Pt. 1** https://read.cash/@KirstenCassandra/the-direwolf-sorcerer-and-the-vampire-witch-the-prophecy-pt-1-533b476f Haven't read the first part? **The Tale of the Two Princes : Vying for the Throne │ Part 1** https://read.cash/@KirstenCassandra/the-tale-of-the-two-princes-vying-for-the-throne-part-1-eb1695cc

The Tale of the Two Princes : The Wedding, Coronation and the Cursed Prince │ Part 16 (End) "Queen Amelie of the Kingdom of Alveria, doesn't that sound elegant?" Queen Marites mumbled as she stood beside the Princess in the castle's doorway. "It suits me, Mother," Princess Amelie said as they waited for the door to open, holding her bridal bouquet. "But do you love the prince? You're going to spend the rest of your life with him," Queen Marites asked. "Does it matter? As long as I'm not going to be a peasant again, that's fine with me. You should be glad, too, because your king is gravely sick; all you have to do now is wait for his death, and you'll be appointed from Queen consort to Queen regnant since your King has no child or any other family." "Oh, you're right, my dear, you're as clever as I am, from peasant to kingdom dominating Queen—oh, off we go. Smile, future queen," Queen Marites said as she walked down the aisle with the Princess. The door opens, and everyone's gaze is drawn to Princess Amelie, who is dressed elegantly in a robe de mariée. Prince William is clothed in an exquisite darker Alverian Guards frock coat—to reflect his position as Colonel of the Alverian Guards, awaits her at the end of the aisle. https://youtu.be/XMRkQ6Z29Fs "You're as stunning as ever, my princess," Prince William gushed, praising his bride. "As I ought to, I prepared almost three hours for this." Princess Amelie raised her left brow and they chuckled. The wedding ceremony began. They wore their rings as a symbol of their love and loyalty after receiving the teachings. They vowed in front of their people that they would love and cherish each other until death parted them. "With the power given to me by the sovereign, I now pronounce you husband and wife. Your Highness, you may now kiss your bride." Prince William lifted the Princess' veil and brushed a few hairs getting in the way and kissed her lightly as a representation of love and devotion between the couple. The crowd remains seated for the coronation of Alveria's new king and queen. Prince William stood right in front of the officiant, his right hand on the book of laws, and the scepter in the other, as a symbol of imperial power and sovereignty. "Will you solemnly promise and swear to govern the People of the Kingdom of Alveria and of your Possessions and other Territories to any of them belonging or pertaining, according to their respective laws and customs?" "I solemnly promise so to do." Prince William answered. "Will you to your power cause Law and Justice, in Mercy, to be executed in all your judgments?" "I will. All this I promise to do. The things which I have here before promised, I will perform, and keep." Prince William stated. After the new king and queen said their oaths, the officials put their crowns over their heads and faced their people with pride and honor. "Hail the new king and queen of Alveria, King William and Queen Amelie," the crowd applauded as they congratulated the kingdom's new rulers. The crowd's cheering and applause came to a halt when someone hastily opened the door. A man in an old, tattered, and ripped parka, his hair long and unkempt, and panting as if he had traveled a long distance to get into the castle. "Is that you, Nathan, my son?" The queen mother stepped quickly and embraced him as she recognized his long-lost son. Everyone is stunned, especially the new king and queen, to see the long-lost prince, whom they assume died in the Oizys Mountain. The prince walked up to the couple and crumpled the king's royal suit. "William, so this is how far you'll go to get revenge on me? You obtaining the imperial crown, I can understand... but marrying the woman I love the most? Why!" Prince Nathan exclaimed. "Nathan, stop!" Queen Amelie pushed Prince Nathan away. "W-What is this, Amelie? We love each other, right? Come with me, let's get out of here," Prince Nathan says, trying to grasp Queen Amelie's hand in his. "Get off me! Can't you see, Nathan? I just used you! I just used you to have the affluent life of a royalty. That was my purpose at first, but William gave me the love I'd never had in my life, and that's why I married him." Queen Amelie said vehemently. "B-but we—we swore in the enchanted forest, I trusted you, you pledged my soul to the old lady," gasped Prince Nathan. "I betrayed you." The sunny day was suddenly obscured by ominous clouds. Thunderclaps and lightning struck, and a black haze invaded the palace, turning to the old lady who helped Prince Nathan and Queen Amelie in leaving the forest before. "N-No. No!" Prince Nathan yelled. "But, my prince, we have an agreement," the old lady sneered, before casting a dark magic. *"To the power of life and power of death; I call upon all the forces of the universe with my every breath; to get this prince's soul as the new guardian of the enchanted realm; He'll be imprisoned in a gallery with a tree of elm; until the prophecy's witch arrives and breaks the spell."* Prince Nathan suddenly transformed into a painting of a periwinkle-colored castle perched above the sky. The entire crowd was flabbergasted by what they witnessed. The old lady waved her wand to cast another spell. The entire town had forgotten what had happened, as well as Prince Nathan, as if he had never existed, and the old lady had vanished in the wind with the painting she was holding. The Tale of the Two Princes : Esmeralda's Pain and Grief │ Part 15 "Please allow me to explain everything, Your Majesty," Esmeralda begins. "I had a lover before, he is a tall, bald, strong, and quiet handsome man, his name is Lando, and he is a bandit. I met him when I was walking home and I ran into foreign hunters chasing down lions in the forest. They harassed me and wanted me to go with them, but Lando saved me. We became friends, and eventually turned to lovers." "I'm sorry for keeping you waiting for so long, Esmeralda, but I have a surprise for you," Lando said excitedly as she saw Esmeralda sitting in their rendezvous spot on the outskirt of Alveria. "Look, I tattooed your name with an arrow heart on my chest as a symbol of my eternal love for you." He added. "Lando, I have something to tell you—" Esmeralda came to a halt as he noticed a familiar figure approaching them. "F-Father?" "So this is where you're going. With this bandit, really? You're just 16!" Esmeralda's father yelled. "That person will do you no good. What will he feed you, grenade? They are terrible people! You will never see that man again because I'll lock you up!" Esmeralda's father drags her, but Lando still holds her hand. Esmeralda seemed to be in pain since her father will not let her go, so Lando let go of her hand. "You can't keep Esmeralda away from me because we love each other, and you don't own her," Lando remarked. "Of course I can! I'm her father; I know what's best for her, and it's not you, you peasant! You're a plague in the kingdom!" "How about you? You're even worse than a plague; you're literally turning Esmeralda into a cash cow so you can booze and gamble all you want without having to work your ass off!" Lando blurt out. Because of what Lando said, Esmeralda's father went insane and hit Lando in the face, causing him to collapse to the ground. He continues to pound him despite the fact that blood is dripping down the young man's face. "Father, I'm pregnant!" cried Esmeralda. He paused pounding Lando's nearly shattered face and turned to her daughter. "What did you say? You let this pathetic loser to get you pregnant? I can't believe you. You know what, don't come home. I don't want to see your face again. From now on, I don't have a daughter. You're just a useless stranger to me." Esmeralda's father stated and left. Lando and Esmeralda made the decision to live together. They were first overjoyed. Lando works throughout the day, while Esmeralda stays at home to keep their small cottage clean and to cook meals for them to eat. Esmeralda gave birth to a handsome baby boy after 9 months of living together. Everything seems to be normal and happy until... "What's this? We don't have food for dinner yet?!" Lando yelled inebriated. "Y-you don't give me any money to go to the market, Lando," Esmeralda said, terrified as she carried her wailing newborn. "You're useless! You never do things your way; you constantly have your hands out, asking money from me... And get that loud brat to quiet down!" Lando stepped out of that door that night, and Esmeralda never saw him again. Days became weeks, and weeks became months, but Lando never came back home. She asked their neighbors and others in their kingdom if they had seen him, but they had not. Esmeralda decided to work as a waitress in a tavern with his baby swaddled in her body since she had no one to look after her child. One day, her baby got sick and she couldn't take time off work, so she brought her child to the tavern and swaddled him to her body. However, because the baby was sick and was wailing all over the place, the customers became annoyed, and as a result, she was sacked from her job. Her thoughts were muddled as she went back to their house. She had no idea why her feet had suddenly led her to the opulent palace displayed ostentatiously. "Hey! What are you doing?" yelled the gatekeepers as they saw Esmeralda lay her child on the ground in front of the gate. The guards took the baby and abruptly gave to her, pushing her away from the huge gate. The queen happened to be there and witnessed how the guards mistreated Esmeralda. "Let her go!" The queen ordered. The queen approached them and looked at the baby wailing in his mother's arms. The queen slid her index finger from the baby's brow to his nose and down to her cheeks. The baby stopped crying and began giggling. "Can I hold him?" the queen asked. Esmeralda delicately laid the baby in the queen's arms. "I hope that one day I will be able to be a mother like you. I've wished for it for a long time, but it seems that heavens didn't hear my plea." "I know you'll be a great mother, Your Majesty; please take care of him..." Esmeralda whispered as she ran as fast as she could. The guards tried to follow her, but she lost them. **A year after**, Esmeralda met George, a struggling shoemaker. They fall in love and marry. They had Percy months later. They lived happily together ever since, but Esmeralda still yearned for her first child. She was about to take her son from the queen when she saw that his life was good and that he was treated as the true son of the king and queen, a life she couldn't offer to her son, so she just stepped back and watched him from afar. Another obstacle entered Esmeralda's life. His husband got sick and died as a result. They struggled in life once again, which is why Percy is unable to attend a school like hers, and they don't even know how to read and write. "Lando... He assaulted me with his gang in the forest when I was on my way to Oizys' Mountain. He's my father?" "Now I see why Nathan is the king's favorite son; I'm not his own blood," Prince William sighed. "Don't say that, William. Your father, the king, loves you as much as he loves Nathan, and he raised you as if you were his firstborn child," the queen remarked. "Did Nathan know about this?" Prince William queried. "He knew," the queen responded. "All this time, he knew? But he didn't show me any disrespect. I feel ashamed. He is the true son and I'm just a freeloader here at the palace, but I'm always causing a ruckus only because he is receiving what he truly deserves..." Prince William remorse. "Because you're his brother, the son of the king and queen, and one of the princes who will soon be king of Alveria, nothing and no one will ever change that," the queen stated. Yellow! 💛 Can't wait to publish the finale tomorrow! I cordially invite you to the royal wedding and coronation of the new king of Alveria. The Tale of the Two Princes : The Queen Awakens │ Part 14 *"But—"* *"It's okay, William. It's okay."* *And they finally kissed.* Today is a gloomy day. The weather seems to be doing its thing for the pair, who are snuggling like koalas, feeling their warm bodies beneath the white shaking sheets after a tiring but magical and romantic night. Prince William kissed Princess Amelie's head as she rested her head on the prince's shoulder, her eyes closed. "What a great day to be alive by your side, dear princess. I can't wait to finally marry you," Prince William whispered as he approached the princess to kiss her lips. When suddenly... "Master! Your Highness!" Percy yelled as he knocked on the door. Out of frustration, the prince bit his lips and kissed the princess in her head instead, and he rouse himself to bed. When he opened the door, Percy was panting as if he had sprinted a hundred miles to get there. "Master, the q— oh, am I interrupting something, Your Highness?" Percy was taken aback when she noticed the Princess lying on Prince William's bed. "Why do you care, and why are you knocking so loudly this early?" yelled Prince William. "The queen is awake!" Percy shouted joyfully. Prince William was startled and froze for a moment, but quickly came to his senses and shut the door so they could fix themselves. They dressed quickly and went to the queen's bedroom. "Mother!" exclaimed Prince William as he embraced his mother in her bed. "William, my son," the Queen muttered. "Where is Nathan? You were all here except him, and... Who is this lady?... William, explain this." "This is Princess Amelie of Kingdom of Maldonia, my wife to be. Uhm. Mother, I don't know how to say this, but Nathan is still missing." Prince William answered. "W-What? How? Where did he go?" "It's been five years when I went to Oizys' Mountain to search for a cure for you, but Nathan followed me and entered the mountain because I couldn't," Prince William explained. "Nathan, my poor child..." The queen said, crying. Prince William comforts his mother in his arms as she sobs. He feels bad for her. She had just fallen asleep in his arms from crying. He tucked her in her bed and advised everyone to leave the room, except Percy. Prince William never left her mother's side. He fell asleep beside her bed while waiting for her to wake up. **The sun shines brightly the next day**, and its rays shine through the window. When a ray of sunlight shone on the prince's face, he awoke to find his mother gently brushing her hair. "How are you, Mother? How are you feeling?" "I'm alright, son." "Mother, I know this isn't the right time to ask you this, but why did the mountain's passageway drive me away as if I weren't royalty? I'm confused," Prince William inquired. The queen remained silent, her gaze fixed on the seneschal, who had come to a halt at the table while preparing tea. "Your Majesty, I believe it is time for the prince to know the truth," said the seneschal. "What's the truth, Mother?" "Bring Esmeralda with you. They live in a secluded part of the kingdom. She is known as the best cook there. Now go," the queen ordered the seneschal. Prince William is puzzled as to why his mother wants to see that cook. He kept asking the queen, but she didn't say anything and just cried in silence. **After an hour of waiting**, the seneschal arrived with a 40-year-old woman with short ginger-colored hair and eyes as blue as the deep ocean, carrying a secret that is even deeper. "M-Mom, what are you doing here?" Percy asked, perplexed. Esmeralda was holding Percy's hand and gently touching his cheeks, when her gaze was drawn to the person beside the queen. Uncontrollable tears flow down her cheeks. She's trembling as she approaches the queen's bed. "William, she's Esmeralda. Your real mother." the queen said in a quavering voice. "W-What do you mean? My mother— W-How— Stop fooling around!!" Prince William exclaimed. Yellow! 💛 Revealing of secrets? Hehe. Hey! What are your thoughts about this? Please let me know in the comments. The Tale of the Two Princes : Accepting the Imperial Crown │ Part 13 "I was such a pity before, but now it's not gonna happen again. I'll marry the next king in line to become a queen and live happily ever after as theirs. Those princes; all they have to do is be born, lie in their cribs, and wailing to their mothers, and they will get everything they desire: a kingdom, crowns, delicious food, exquisite clothing, and bouncing comfy mattresses. What about the impoverished laborers in the kingdom? They are straining their backs till they die in order to provide for their families, whilst royalty merely sit and enjoy themselves. I don't want to go back to that kind of life. I deserve the best things too." Princess Amelie thought to herself. In her profound thoughts in the royal garden, she did not realize that she had reached the stream, the boundary of the garden. There she noticed the prince resting on the fallen trunk of a giant tree. "My intuition was right in anticipating that I would find you here. May I sit with you?" Princess Amelie queried. "Sure. Please have a seat, princess." "Four years ago, I saw you here in the same spot and assumed this was where you'd rest. If anything bothers you, tell me about it; I'm all ears, William. You know that." "I don't know what to do anymore, Amelie. My mother isn't waking up. My brother is missing. The royal council wants me to be king. I have so much on my plate right now that I don't know where to begin. Do I really need to be a king to serve my people?" "I don't have the right to speak about that, but if you're going to ask me, you have to be a king. This kingdom needs you. You are capable of being one, William, in a span of five years you've done so much. You've changed a lot for the better. Listen, what if other kingdoms with bad intentions plan a war to invade and occupy Alveria because they know this kingdom has no king, that's not impossible. Besides, as a prince, how can you deal with other kings? They don't listen to someone who isn't on their level, for sure. Consider this: It's a matter of royal law," Princess Amelie explained. "You're right, Amelie. I have to do this. Not just for my people, but also for my mother and Nathan. Thank you for doing this; if you're not here, I'm not sure what decision I'll make," Prince William responded. Prince William leaned on the princess' shoulder. The princess rubbed the back of his head softly. He pulls away from her and stares her in the eyes. Princess Amelie closed her eyes and tenderly kissed the prince on his cheeks, then their foreheads touched as a sign of positive emotion like love. They opened their eyes and moved their faces closer together, about to kiss, when Prince William pulled back. "What's the matter, William? Don't you love me?" Princess Amelie wondered. "This isn't right," stated Prince William. "What's wrong? Tell me, don't you love me?" Princess Amelie queried. "I've loved you from the first time I met you, but my brother had you first." Princess Amelie calmed Prince William by touching his face with one hand and holding his hand with the other. "It's been five years since he left, and we have no idea where he is now. Some have said that once entering the dark realm, no prince could ever return. He won't come back, William. And I finally moved on, and you helped me. You are the one who keeps my mind and heart peaceful even when we are apart. You're my safest sanctuary. Prince Nathan, wherever he is today, will surely be happy to see us." "But—" "It's okay, William. It's okay." And they finally kissed. Yellow! 💛 Three parts left! And a lot of plot twist ahead. Opps! Hihi. I hope you enjoy reading this. The Tale of the Two Princes : Princess Amelie's Past │ Part 12 "Amelie! The dough! Hurry up. You're slower than a sloth!" Marites yelled as she preheated the brick oven. "Here, mother!" Amelie said, hurryingly taking the dough to the large prepping table. A poor baker named Marites lived in a little village below the palace of the kingdom of Maldonia with her 8-year-old daughter Amelie. Their lives in that kingdom are difficult because their markets are competitive, and their sales are declining every day. As a result, she is compelled to work two or more jobs at the same time in order to raise her daughter alone after her spouse died of illness. Every day, she baked, and every night, she cleaned houses. She had a lot of debts and bills to pay, a child to feed, and a little business to run and maintain. She doesn't even recognize herself. She's just in her 40s, yet she appears like an elderly lady in her 60s. "Well, well, if it isn't poor Marites, I finally found you after days of you hiding from me," the obese lady says as she enters Marites' modest bakery. "Good morning, Mrs. Greta. How are you today? I-I'm not hiding from you; I've just been really busy lately due to my multiple jobs." Marites said, smiling bitterly. "Oh, please. Let's get to the point. When will you pay me? You're not paying me even a quarter from your perforated pocket for renting this place, and you owe me money that you spent to treat your husband, who died eventually, even if your back is twisted from paying for his medicine." Mrs. Greta mocked. "How could you disrespecting my late husband like that? It's not because I owe you some money that you have the right to belittle us as if we were your property!!" Marites exclaimed. "How dare you to talk back? You promiscuous lady!—" Mrs. Greta shouted. Marites' face was beaten and her hair was pulled out of the bakery in front of a large crowd. Amelie is just weeping and trying to drag her mother away from that fat lady. No one wants to interfere because they don't want to be dealt with Mrs. Greta's wrath since practically all of the residents there owe her money. "Make way for the King!" one of the guards ordered. Mrs. Greta threw Marites on the ground and began to fix her hair and dust herself as if nothing had happened. Without saying anything, the king patted Marites' head as if he were petting a puppy and held out his hand to help her up. "Take them in the carriage," the king commanded. Marites and Amelie were taken to the castle by the king. He dressed and fed them as though they were royalty. They ate the delicacies and slept in the beds that they couldn't fathom living in. Before leaving the castle, Marites and Amelie decided to make bread for the king as a sign of gratitude for his kindness. When it was done, they took it to the king's bedroom in the castle's north wing. "Knock!" Marites said. "May I enter, Your Majesty?" "Come in," the king replied. "I brought you some bread I had just baked, Your Majesty, and I have yet to thank you for the kindness you have shown to us." "Sit down," the king said. "You know what, I was about to go to your bakery that day when I saw you getting beaten, and one of my servants had given me some of your bread before, and I can't forget the taste of it since then, so I personally came to you." he added. "That made me the happiest," Marites murmured, tears welling up in her eyes. "And since the day you stayed here in the castle, my heart has grown closer to you, and I believe you're the one I've been looking for; be my wife and the queen of this kingdom, Marites." They married soon after. Marites expected a better life for herself and her daughter by the side of the king, but the opposite happened. Suddenly the king changed. "Mother!!!" wailed Amelie as she clutched her battered mother on the ground. "You wench! I'll kill you both the next time I see you talking with that gardener!" the king exclaimed. "I promise mother, I'll do whatever it takes to bring you out of this hell, even if it means selling my soul to the demon." Amelie stated. Yellow! 💛 *Sabi na'ng masama yung makipag-chismisan e. The Tale of the Two Princes : Two-Faced Princess │ Part 11 ***Five years later.*** The entire kingdom was changed for the better. Prince William summoned different inventors from their kingdom to demonstrate their abilities and inventions. Under his administration, every house had a water system within five years. He installed a hand water pump in each house so that people would not have to go to the river to get water. He mandated that every home be outfitted with solar panels in order to provide electricity to all residents. He also worked with his royal advisors to revitalize the stagnant, dry, but large land near the palace. He provided good irrigation and fertilizer for it, and it is now used by the people in their kingdom. It now provides them with abundant grain and vegetable harvests. "Perhaps it's time to appoint a new king in this kingdom after five years without one," one of the advisors suggested. "Can we just discuss it when my brother comes back?" Prince William inquired. "He won't come back! It's been five years, Prince William, and the guards you commanded to guard the mountain have no new information about your brother; he's dead!" "No! He's not! As long as we don't see his body, I won't believe he's dead." Prince William declared. "Now, this meeting is adjourned. You can now leave this room. All of you." The meeting room was empty. The only one left in the room was Prince William. His thoughts were discombobulated. He doesn't want to seize the opportunity to do it without his brother and ascend to the throne as king while Prince Nathan is on the mountain, seeking relief from his bedridden mother, who has yet to awaken. "Knock!" Princess Amelie said, "I heard... the council saying bad things about you on the way out here, so I assumed you were here, and I brought you some tea." "Oh, Amelie. Come in. When did you arrive? It's been three years since I last saw you, when you left Alveria and returned to your kingdom," Prince William replied. "I just came here because you haven't responded to my letters, so I came here to see you," Princess Amelie explained. "I'm sorry, Amelie. I'm so busy here in our kingdom that I don't have time to visit the owlery," Prince William explained. "But I really appreciate your letters. You're the sweetest friend I could ever have." Princess Amelie sits on the chair next to the prince, holding his hand as if it were the most precious thing in the world. "William, do you remember that time when you had just returned from Oizys' Mountain? I saw you in the garden that night, I sat beside you, we talked, and I learned so much about you. It's like I'm reading a tragic novel with no ending. That night I promised myself, you trusted me and decided to open yourself to me, so I'll help you have the happy ending you deserve." "Thank you, Amelie. I can't thank you enough for everything you've done for me." Prince William softly brushed the princess's cheek with the back of his hand, as if he were touching a delicate work of art. His fingers run down the side of her neck and slowly move closer to the princess face and about to kiss her lips. Then he suddenly came to a halt and kissed her on the forehead instead. "I-I forgot, I had some work to do in the library. I'm glad you're here, Amelie. Just tell the servants what you need and make yourself at home, if you'll excuse me." Prince William said and left the room. Princess Amelie rolled her eyes and slammed the table in frustration when the prince left. "Oh, someone's been rejected," a sophisticated lady said as she entered the door. "Stop it, mother; just wait; Prince William and all the wealth of this country will be mine," said Princess Amelie, evilly grinning. "I know, darling, I believe in your skill, intelligence, charm, and grace; after all, you are my child," Marites, the Queen of Maldonia replied. "I've invested a lot of effort into getting our kingdom out of dire straits, mother. I even had to follow Prince Nathan into that deadly forest and pretend I needed help just to be close to him and make him fall in love with me. Well, I loved him then. Unfortunately, he never returned. What am I going to do? Keep waiting for him till my eyes become white from the strain? That is not an option." Princess Amelie explained. Yellow! 💛 Hey! I'm glad you're back. I was too preoccupied with work yesterday to write this part. Only a couple more parts till the end of this series. Keep an eye out, you guys! Hihi. Stay safe. Santé! A Day as a Working Wife [RRFB] "Time to get up, my sleepy smol bean!" I had no idea an alarm clock could be a pleasant noise in my ears till the day I married him. Oh, what a great way to begin a lovely day. He smiled gently at me as I slowly opened my eyes. "Is this real life or a sweet dream?" I said, closing my eyes again and smiled. "Aha! You don't really wanna get up right now?" he asked, grinning as though plotting something frisky. He clasped my arms in my head level with his enormous palms and abruptly kissed my armpits like a baby. I have ticklishness, especially in my armpits, as though I had *Hypergargalesthesia* or something. The weird thing is that even just staring at my armpit tickled me. Haha! "Alriiiigggghht! Hahaha. Stop. I'll get up now," I gave up. He stopped. He stared at me beaming like I'm the most beautiful woman in the universe, with my bed hair, puffy eyes, a touch of morning star, and a morning breath. He moved his face closer to mine and kissed my lips gently, as if the moon had eclipsed a bit of the sun; full of love and sincerity. *Bling!* "*You have a new message from HR-Chris: Good morning, Ma'am, we have a minor problem, I sent you an email as a preview, and I'll explain the specifics when you arrive. Regards.*" said by my phone, which is controlled by an AI-based voice assistant. "I'll see you in the evening, Mrs. Loughran," he whispered. We laughed as he helped me get out of our bed and took me to the bathroom. Of course, he left me there; I'd be late if he hadn't. Lol. I noticed my toothbrush with a single pump of toothpaste on top of a glass of water. I turned on the shower and felt the temperature, which was just right for me. My husband is a real expert at taking care of me. Not just that, but when I returned to our bedroom, I found my office outfit clean and pressed on our bed. Even my underwear and shoes match my outfit. All I need to do now is put them on. "Hunny, are you already dressed? Breakfast is ready! You're gonna be late," he yelled from the kitchen. "Coming!" I fixed my self and proceed to the dining area. And holy wow! He prepared a feast for me. He cooked some eggrolls with a bits of fried potato (he knows that potato is my favorite), homemade sausage, fried chicken (Ugh! Chimken. Hihi) and steamy hot rice. When he spooned the rice onto my plate, he quickly unraveled it since he knows I don't want a mountain of rice on my plate. I was amazed by how well he remembered doing these things for me. When we finished eating, he tidied the table and put the plates and silverware in the sink while I pet our babies—furbabies—real quick and grabbed my things and ready to go. He drove me to work in our spresso car, swiftly yet safely since I usually pinch his tummy when he drives recklessly. "We're already here, hun. I'm heading to our farm after this to work on our business. When will I pick you up later?" he inquired as he parked the car near the building's foyer. "6:00 p.m. would suffice. I need to finish my report because it's Friday today. I have go, babe. See you later!" "Babe, wait!" he said, stopping me from getting out of the car and fetch something from the backseat. "Here's your lunch. You know I don't want you to eat anything unhealthy, right?" he smiled as he handed me the lunch bag with a prepared stacked bento inside. I was excited, so I lifted the lid, and a lot of delish yet healthy food greeted me right before my very eyes. For the appetizer, there's a tofu steak, spicy *adobong puti* for the main course, and my favorite fruit salad for dessert. "Aww, you're the sweetest husband ever!" I cried. I hugged him and kissed him all over his face. I'm very grateful to have him. **Keyboard sound intensifies** **Brewing coffee sound** **Pages flipping sound** **neck and back cracking** If you want to know how my day at work went today, ask me. You will definitely cry. Today I'm quite stressed. I have a lot of work to do, meetings to go to, and my boss yelled at me today due of the ignorance of my subordinates. The good news is that all of my tasks for today is completed. I can relax for the weekend without fear of receiving a terrifying phone call from my boss. **It's already 6:05 p.m.**, so I cleared my table, shut off my computer, gathered my stuff, and exited the building. My gorgeous husband, with nicely coiffed hair, was waiting for me at the car door. He really hates sitting for too long. Maybe that's his secret to having those sexy ass. Hehe. He's dressed in an open baby blue polo with a white inner shirt, black knee-length shorts, and white sneakers. He's so gorgeous indeed. Hihi. He hugged me when I was already in front of him, as if he knew everything I had been through at work today. He didn't ask me anything since he knew I was exhausted. He opened the car door and let me sit inside. He bent down, reclined my seat, took off my shoes, massaged my feet, put on fluffy slippers from his glove compartment, and wrapped me in a blanket. He then got in the car and drove home. You guessed right. I passed out in the passenger seat. "Babe, we're here. You enter the house, and I'll take care of carrying your things inside," he whispered softly, brushing my cheek. I got out of the car and walked slowly inside our tiny house. Rose petals were strewn on the floor leading to the bathroom. I opened the door and smelled the scent of my favorite minty scented candle. The jacuzzi is ready. It also has rose petals and a cute unicorn bath bomb in perfectly warm water. "Do you like it? I'll put on the TV here so we can watch some anime movies while we relax," he said, setting down a bathtub caddy in the jacuzzi with two glasses of wine, cookies, and fruits. I said nothing. I simply held him and sobbed in his broad chest. I've been really lucky and blessed to have him. Yellow! 💛 Just doing a quick write-up while I rest because I'm still sick. Please excuse my hatchooo. Don't worry, I'm wearing my mask. Hehe. This is the wife's POV of @alykavinsky 's piece. You may read it by following this link: The Way of the Househusband. You'll undoubtedly enjoy it as well. The Tale of the Two Princes : Benevolent Sacrifice │ Part 10 "Your Highness!!" The gatekeepers hastened open the gate as they recognized Prince William outside. The seneschal received the brief but important message and promptly went to the vestibule to verify the information provided by the royal gatekeepers. "Prince William! What happened to you? Where is Prince Nathan?" the seneschal was perplexed. Looking at the dreadful prince dressed in rug-like clothing and escorted by a teenage boy he had never seen before. "He arrives just as I am ready to enter Oizys' Mountain. The wind at the entryway won't allow me pass through for some reason, so Nathan sent me here to the palace and went into the mountain by himself." Prince William explained. "He's Percy. Take care of him because he saves me," the prince said as he headed directly to the queen's bedroom after a month of traveling back to the palace to check on his ailing mother. Prince William was walking along the west wing when he heard a familiar voice calling him from behind. Suddenly, it appears like euphoric chemicals are coursing through his veins, causing his heart to race as if it were going to burst at any moment. "Y-you're back," Princess Amelie said, "but where is Prince Nathan?" Touching the diamond on her ring finger. "I sincerely apologize, Princess. Let us just hope he comes back safely. If you'll excuse me." He entered the queen's bedroom and leaned against the door, ripping his heart out as the princess wailed on the other side. He wishes he could console her, embrace her, and make her feel less alone, but seeing her in this state because of his brother pains him even more. **In the dark realm.** "You've had the audacity to come here with a weak heart, even after being warned by the tales about me, and now you're pleading for help?" said an unknown sinister voice resonating across the realm. "O-Oizys? I-Is that you? W-Where are you?" Prince Nathan said, startled. "Oh, you know me. Knowing that I am known as a minor goddess, a malevolent spirit with no followers or worshippers, maybe because they felt that I have bad intentions towards humans beyond creating misery and distress, which is accurate." Oizys stated, smirking. "Enough of my depressing thoughts and sentiments; what do you want, young man?" she asked. "Please, cure my mother. I would do everything, just cure her," Prince Nathan begged. "It always surprises me how a royalty is pleading just to seek my help when people like you treat yourselves like gods in your magnificent castles," Oizys remarked. "I can't help you, and the good news is that you'll be trapped here forever," she added, her voice booming down the hole. "Oizys! Wait. Come back! Oizys!!—" yelled Prince Nathan, but he received no response. **Three months had passed** in the human world, but felt like minutes in the dark realm. There is no such thing as day and night. There is no winter, spring, summer, or fall, or even rain or sun, Prince Nathan has lost track of everything. "Why is this happening to me? Did I deserve this? It seems like I am always the sacrificial one. The one who should always understands. I seem fine and strong so they don't bother asking me if I'm already hurting. I'm smiling but inside of me is slowly tearing apart. I let myself be bound by royal etiquette that I had not chosen to begin with. I am a good son and a caring brother. I did not kill or maim anyone. I did everything in my power to help my people. So why? " he thought to himself. Yello! 💛 Eyy! I'm back beeping in your feed! I've been gone for five days because my immune system is acting up, and I'm still recovering. The bebuu forbids me from drinking cold drinks, so no iced coffee for me until I'm fully recovered. *crying in silence* Anyway, I hope you enjoy reading this, and I'd appreciate it if you could stay for the last few installments of this series. The Tale of the Two Princes : Quest to Oizys │ Part 9 For the past six days, Prince Nathan has been traveling to the Kingdom of Cyra to follow his brother. Some warned him that this kingdom is fraught with danger since there would be many bandits along the way, but he traveled for several days and didn't come across anyone, not even one. He was lucky to have his owl Lilo with him to show him where she had last seen Prince William. A few meters ahead, Prince Nathan noticed the dried blood-like tint on the roadside. He dismounted his horse and inspected it thoroughly. He assumed it was from his brother. "Aaaahhhhhhh!" Someone screamed, and the prince heard it. He instantly mounted his horse and rode to where he thought the voice was coming from. The voice led him to the tall mountain, where he saw two people standing below. He doesn't know the first person, but he's certain the second is his brother. "William!" yelled Prince Nathan. "Nathan?" Prince William whispered. Prince Nathan jumped from his horse and ran to hug his brother. He became really worried after receiving the bloody handkerchief from his owl. "Hey, you're too sissy," Prince William muttered, rolling his eyes and patting his brother on the back. When Prince Nathan let go of his brother's arms, he slammed him with a powerful punch. "W-what was that for?" Prince William said vehemently. "Don't do it again. Don't act recklessly. You're troubling me. What will I say to our mother when she wakes up one day and you're gone? How can I explain that to her, huh?" Prince Nathan said aggressively. "Whatever. Uhh- That hurts. Earlier, this entryway, and now you. Percy, perhaps you'd like to hurt me too though." Prince William complained. "I'm good here, Master," Percy said, chuckling. "What happened?" Prince Nathan asked. "Uhm, Your Highness. Prince William did what the royals do before entering this mountain, and all of them succeeded, but he didn't; instead, the wind guarding this entryway pushed him away, indicating that he is not a royalty," Percy explained. Prince Nathan approached the entryway, looked down at his palm, and wrote the letter 'A' with his finger, which illuminated like the brightest beam of light. When Prince William saw it, he widened his eyes and wondered why his palm didn't light up when he was a prince. "W-What... How?" "Listen, William. Only our mother can explain what happened, and I don't know how to tell you; so go home and ask her, and let me handle this." Prince Nathan entered the mountain's mouth and vanished with the wind. "Nathan, wait—" Prince William is going to question his brother, but he has already disappeared. "I think he's right; go back to your kingdom. All we have to do is to trust him and pray for his safe journey," Percy advised. Prince William says nothing. He is still baffled. How come he isn't royalty while Prince Nathan is? He is wondering if he is adopted. If that's the case, who are his parents? His mind is racing with questions for which he has no answers. ***On the other hand.*** The wind blew Prince Nathan away from the world. It's as if he's in the middle of nowhere, with no trees, animals, trails, or a pathway of signs or objects left behind by someone or something passing by. It's a bleak place with a depressing atmosphere. He's standing somewhere he doesn't know. The ground and sky are both pitch black. The surroundings are foggy, and it's colder than a winter season, the kind of cold that sent shivers down his system. He runs from left to right, trying to find a way out, but there is none. He's stuck because he has no idea where he's going and can't see what's ahead of him. Everything is hazy. He can't hear anything except his breathing. That is the most deafening sound he has ever heard in his life. It's disturbing. "Aaaarrrggghhh! Please stop this—" He screamed as he covers his ears and grasping his head. He heard some voice inflicting his head. A swarm of people saying different words but all screaming for help. Tears, sweat, and mucus from his nose all flow down his face. He seemed to be going insane. He would rather die than continue to go through this. "You've had the audacity to come here with a weak heart, even after being warned by the tales about me, and now you're pleading for help?" He has no idea where it came from. He couldn't tell if it was all in his head. It's reverberating throughout the place, as if it's coming from the underworld. Yello! 💛 I'm sorry for not updating you on this story in three months. My thoughts, like Prince Nathan's, appear to be lost in the wind, with no way to get back. I'm thankful to the bub for helping me in resurrecting this dormant world of mine, and I know exactly where I'm going now. I can finish this. I know I can. June Dump [KirstenCassandra's Tortuous Life] Cómo estás, bella/bello? Just because I was bored and needed to relax my mind after the flurry of diverse emotions I wrote last time, I've decided to share these "behind-the-scenes" photos from the movie ***Kirsten Cassandra's Tortuous Life*** *(Lol),* in this gloomy morning while listening to *Taylor Swift's Folklore Album* and munching on my favorite Presto Creams Peanut and brewed coffee. Now, get some snacks and enjoy reading! 1. Just how fast the night changes Isn't it amazing? How quickly a day passes. We'll never notice when it's already bermonths and employees are getting their 13th month pay and Christmas bonus. But for now, let's just enjoy this long month of July without any weekday holidays. Ugh! 2. Travel Anxiety I openly mentioned it on noise.cash before. You can read it by following this link. I struggled a lot before riding that somewhat fancy carousel bus. To sum it up, I got lost because I'm not used to commuting. Hahaha! I seemed to be a kid looking for her mommy. Lol. Thanks to Google Maps for navigating me to the train station, as I'm not used to asking strangers for directions. Trust issues af. https://noise.cash/post/lxk2j9q3 3. Gentri-yaas Finally! I arrived in Gen. Trias, Cavite, after 'X' hours on the road with anxiety and motion sickness on the side. I'm here for a short jaunt and a mall date with my gorgeous wolf before heading to my uncle's house in Bacoor, Cavite. Hehe. I really had fun that day. 4. Zombie Apocalypse That morning, I had to take the bus again because my dad had an appointment and couldn't drive me home. The worst part is that, despite getting up early and waiting at the bus stop at 5:00 a.m., I won't be able to ride the bus right away. I have to wait, and when it arrives, I have to run like I'm in a zombie apocalypse because there are many commuters like me waiting for the same bus and striving to catch it. I've got a scratch because of that. 5. Kdrama Vibe "니 눈앞에 왔잖아 내가 여기 있잖아 너의 입술로 말을 해줘 Say yes say yes 나도 모르게 너에게 가고 있나봐 부는 바람에 내 맘 전할래 Love is true" Ems. Hehe. That song seems to fit the vibe that day. The sun is shining through the bus window, and I feel as if I'm being sun kissed in my seat. I just don't take a photo of it because I'm really shy. Hehe. 6. 50/50 is fine, but it doesn't always work I saw this post on Facebook and thought it was nice, so I saved it and sent it to my loving boyfriend. Whahaha. 50/50 is okay, but it won't work in our relationship. It shows that if one gives 50 percent, they expect to receive 50 percent in return. In our case, it's sometimes 70/30 or 60/40 since we don't count the things or effort we put in for each other. As long as we're both contributing to our "love bank" we're good though. Hihi. He used to give so much to his exes and got nothing in return, which is a big NO in my perspective. Because I believe that being in a relationship requires giving and taking, and an effort deserves an effort too. 7. Just lemme take a selfie For some reason, when we clock in at work, we have to take a selfie and send it to our Telegram group chat with a time stamp and the coordinates. Surprisingly, I like how I look in this photo, so I kept it. Hihi. 8. Nail-ed it I get my nails done not because I'm stressed. Well, I am. Haha. But that isn't the main reason. I have to because my cousin's wedding is approaching and that is the only time I have to do this. Isn't that gorgeous? Hihi. When it comes to nail polish, I prefer nude colors, which is why I chose the bone color. It also makes my skin look brighter. 9. Wedding Coordinator? Haggardous. Whahaha! Don't place too much emphasis on my tummy. We just ate dinner, so it's kinda big because my aunt put a lot of food on my plate knowing that I don't eat much in the evening. She's ruining my diet. We're at a wedding reception at the time, and we're designing the entire venue for the big day. They rented the event hall at a restaurant. It's quite large and could easily accommodate 50 people. And I must say, the ambiance is classy. And after that, we went to the church to design the aisle and everything else. We also had a wedding rehearsal, so we came back to the hotel at 11:00 p.m. to get our gowns and other stuff ready before falling asleep at 2:00 a.m. Yeah, I'm tired. 10. Not your typical Bridesmaid Orochimaru mode. Ems. Hahaha! That was the wedding day. We woke up at 4:00 a.m. Yes, we only slept for 2 hours because we had to do our own make-up. I forgot to buy a contact lens, so my vision is hazy as I walk down the aisle. That was also the first time I met the bridesmaids and groomsmen, and they're all kind and friendly, so we get along perfectly, no dull or awkward moments. It's like though I've known them for a long time. Not bad for my first time as a bridesmaid. Hihihuhu. 11. Priorities This post makes me think of my boyfriend. I sent it to him as well, and he agreed af. Hahaha. But I reminded him that he must prioritize himself over everyone else in all aspects, because as the saying goes, "you can't pour from an empty cup." Love yourself before you love anyone else. But if you can't, hunny, let me do it for you. Hihi. Harowt! I miss that beautiful creature so much. Sigh. 12. A pinch of tranquility We went to a community at the time to check on the people we volunteered to help the last time to see if they were all good and if there was anything else they needed. I was swiping up my phone when I accidentally opened the front cam and saw the silhouette of the leaves of the tree in front of me. Just looking at it gave me a sense of serene. A pinch of tranquility, indeed. Yello! 💛 It's not much, but I hope you enjoyed reading this article of mine. Till our next behind-the-scenes update, fellas! Have a great Friday!

Analepsis │ Part 5: WDIAFFFM? "Did he just text you?" Dad asked, having heard the beep as he stepped out the door. "Dad! What did you do this time?" I asked, my gaze lethal. "I just gave him your phone number since he asked," he explained. "He did?" "Yeah, just be a good girl, okay? I'll leave you rest," he said as he walked out of my room, smirking. *What am I going to say in response? Or do I have to respond? If I don't, he'll think I'm a snob and an elitist, and if I do, it'll appear like I'm simply assuming that we're close. Is he seriously worried about me, or is he merely feeling terrible about what happened and he's ashamed in front of my parents? What... am I gon...na do—* I passed out. *"****Teloy!*** *There's an amusement park outside the village; let's go!" I enthused.* *"I can't. My father would be furious if he saw me leave the house, you know that,"* ***Teloy*** *explained.* *"Your father is still at work, right? We'll be quick; we'll just ride the Ferris wheel and go home right away, I swear."* *"OK, let's just be quick, okay?" he eventually agreed.* *"Yaaaay!"* *What's the deal with that dream?* ***Teloy****. That was his name.* *This is the first time I've had this dream. I've been trying to recall the name of that boy in my dreams who was my playmate for so long, but I can't remember a thing, even his face.* I was lying in bed, thinking about that dream, when I smelt something delectable with a tinge of nostalgia that made me reminisce the past. I gently roused myself in my bed. I walked from my room to the kitchen while ponying my hair. Dressed in my oversized shirt, black undies, and fuzzy slippers since I'm quite sure my mom was the only one at home with me at this hour. "Good morning, lovely," said the man, who was facing the stove and stirring some soup. "AaaaAAAaaaaaahhh!!! What are you doing here?!!" I panicked, pulling my oversized shirt over my panties with one hand and my arms over my molded nips in my shirt with the other. The man panicked when he heard my scream. "What happened?" My mom rushed into the kitchen from the back door, carrying a brown bag from the nearby convenience store. "I-I'm sorry. I-I didn't see anything. I swear—" Theo stammered, keeping his head down and his eyes covered. I dashed to my room like Quicksilver and slammed the door. I leaned against the door and tapped my red-tinged face to calm myself. "Fenreese, please open the door," my mom said as she knocked. "Mom, why didn't you tell me he was here this early in the morning?" I complained. "He's just here to take care of you. He's cooking your favorite creamy crab and corn soup just to make it up to you. Don't be mad at him. Hmm?" Mom explained. "Now, get yourself together. Go get dressed. It's too early for him to see you in your panties; you two have only just met." "Mom!" I exclaimed. She left me laughing her ass out, causing my head to wobble from left to right. Maybe I was a lonely person in my past life, therefore Heaven blessed me with silly parents who constantly bugged me in this lifetime. Don't get me wrong; I love them both. I just can't stand their sense of humor at times. I get up, get a suitable yet comfortable outfit, and enter the bathroom. I quickly showered, dried my hair, and applied some powder and tinted lip balm since I felt like a corpse beginning to decompose in the tomb. "Good morning," I said as I drew a chair from the dining table, breaking the silence and awkwardness I had caused earlier. "Hi sweetie! Theo makes your favorite, let me get you some." Mom took my bowl and ladle soup from the pot into it. I could smell the sweet but savory flavor of the soup. I can't go wrong with this; it smells just like the soup I've always asked my mom to make, but she can't replicate the precise flavor I tasted once from somewhere I can't recall. My eyes widened when I sipped the soup. Tears stream down my face. I'm not certain why, but a vision is trying to invade my mind. *"It's just an hour and my father is on his way! I warned you we had to be quick, but you're walking so slowly!"* ***Teloy*** *said harshly.* *"I'm sorry, alright! My feet are obviously shorter than yours. I'll just help you with that if it makes you feel better," I complained.* *"You don't know how to cook; all you can do is mess up the kitchen," he sneered.* *"The way you speak, it's as if you're not 8 years old like me umm! Okay, I'll clean your house while you cook." I said, it's like I'm negotiating and setting terms and he agreed.* *As it boils, I can smell the delectable aroma of the dish he's preparing. It makes my stomach grumble, like though my dragon within me is roaring. When he heard it, he chuckled and ladled a small bowl of soup for me. I took a sip, and it was the best soup I'd ever eaten.* "Aaarrrgghh!" My head hurts so badly that it's been forcedly divided in half. "Sweetie?" Mom asks, anxious. "Mom, I think I should get more rest. My head has suddenly become excruciatingly painful." I stood up and felt like my head was whirling and I was about to fall to the ground, when Theo held me quickly and helped me sit in the chair. "Please allow me to take you to your room." Without waiting for my response, Theo carried me in his arms while mom walked in front of us to open my bedroom door. He carefully laid me down, brushed my hair away from my face, and tucked me in bed. "Just let me know if you need anything. I'm just outside your door." Theo said. Hey-lo! How you doin'? Hehe. If you're going to ask me, I have no idea what's going on in my mind, other than my real-life Theo. Hihi. Harowt! Anyway, thank you for taking the time to read this. I deeply appreciate it! I hope you enjoyed it, and do leave your thoughts and feedback below, I'd love to hear them. Lovelots! xx Ciao, bella! Omnipresent Smell of Antiseptic │ Part 4: WDIAFFFM? *"No, Sir, please don't hurt her. Hurt me instead, just let go of my child."* *"Mommy—" I bit the man's arm and ran to my mom.* ***(Gunshot)*** *"Reese!! Oh, God! Reeseeee!" Mom shrieked in terror as she watched me be shot in the left arm and hit my head hard on a large rock on the ground, bathed in my own blood.* That scene has haunted me since I was a kid, even in my nightmares. It seems so real. I can feel the pain in my head and in my left arm. I can feel the blood rushing down my brow. I have scars on my forehead and arm to prove it was real, but every time I confront my parents about it, they swear I had just stumbled on the playground at the time, therefore I had a scar, and that terrible memory was just a figment of my imagination. "Haa—aa!" I jolted awake, feeling like I was drowning and suffocated. "Reese! Finally, you're awake!" Mom exclaimed. "I'll call the doctor," Theo said as he rushed out the door. The brilliant light blinded me, and I was greeted by the familiar smell of the place filled with sadness and grief. The place full of "why's and how'd it happen to them" queries. The place where some are engaged in thug-of-war with the grim reaper, with some are luckily winning and others are tragically losing. The place where a part of my heart once desired to serve rather than be served, as is currently the case. "How are you feeling? Does your head hurt?" Dad queried, concerned. "The doctor is here," Theo stated as he entered the room with the doctor. Dad stepped aside to allow the doctor examine me. He checked my eyes first, then my mouth and tongue, using a penlight. He also took my blood pressure and temperature to make sure I was okay. "She's fine. It was merely a result of the panic episode she experienced earlier, so she had difficulties in breathing and fainted." The doctor explained. "However, all of her test findings are normal. She can be discharged from the hospital and go home now. If you'll excuse me." He added. "Doc, can I speak with you for a moment?" Dad asked. He nodded, and they talked outside the room. "I just wanted to say sorry for what happened last night; I had no idea, I swear—" Theo apologised profusely. I interrupted him by taking his hand in mine. I just smiled and nodded to show that everything was fine because I felt powerless, possibly due to the medications injected into my IV. "It's okay, dear, Theo. It's not your fault; it was just an accident. In fact, Jim and I are grateful because you took Reese to the ER right away and never left her until she woke up." Mom said. "It's all settled, Pumpkin; we can now go home." Dad approached us after speaking with the doctor. "Uhm, Chef Jim. Just took the day off today, and I asked the staff to close the restaurant and do the inventory so you could be with Reese today," Theo explained. "Thank you very much, Theo; that means a lot." Dad answered. They packed our belongings and helped me in getting into the wheelchair because my knees are flimsy. I noticed the letters ICU in one of the doors as we passed through. Suddenly, one of the nurses appeared. As she hurried to the restroom, I noticed sadness and tears in her eyes. Maybe they are right. ICU doctors and nurses have the most difficult jobs. They appear to be in hell on Earth. It's depressing to watch life fade away almost every day. Patients are fighting for their lives in there, and the worst part is pretending to be fine and staying calm so they can put their trust in the medical professionals. "Pumpkin we're here." Dad breaks the silence. "I think I should go so you guys can rest; I'll see you tomorrow." Theo said before leaving after taking us home. "He's the sweetest, right?" Dad smirked as he tucked me in bed. "Dad!" Dad burst out laughing, kissed my forehead, and then left me to sleep peacefully in my bed. I'm about to close my eyes when my phone unexpectedly beeps. Hey. Take a good rest, okay? –Unknown Number Hey-Lo! I believe you already know who that unknown number belongs to. Hehe. Let's see if I can post an update tomorrow because I have weekend work. It's a Date │ Part 3: WDIAFFFM? "Do you know each other?" Mom asked. "No!" I said vehemently. "Yes, Ma'am," Theo responded cheerfully. I turned to face him, raising my left brow. He seemed to be smirking, as if he was planning an evil scheme to embarrass me in front of my parents. "I saw her at a coffee shop. She blankly stared at me, as if he had seen Medusa's beauty and turned to stone as a result," he added. "Wh—" I was going to say something when my dad cut me off. "Maybe she likes you, Theo. I think you two are fated to cross paths here tonight." They kept talking about me and laughing as if I didn't exist. I want to leave this table, but every time I try, my mom pinches my leg as she pinches a croissant beneath the table. "The night is still young, and I heard about a seasonal amusement park near your village; maybe we can go there to ease our bellies after eating so much." Dad said to Theo. "Sounds very fine to me," he said as he looked at me. "That's it. Because Theo's village is close to the amusement park, you, Reese, can ride in his car while I and your mom drive ours. It bothers me that Theo is driving alone while the three of us are in ours. If that's okay with you, Theo?" He nodded. So I guess I'm stuck in Theo's car for the time being. Ugh! This old man. He never even asked whether I was alright with his idea. We left the house and got into our cars. I expected Theo to open the door for me, but instead he got in the car and let me open the hefty door of his car alone. Perhaps he merely looks like the main character in my novels, but they don't have the same behaviors. Why should I hope to find a man like the ones I'm writing about? Maybe the reason why I've never had a boyfriend and continue to fall in love with fictitious guys are because of my high standards. I should cease hoping for that dream to come. Hello! Of course I don't want to be an elderly lady without a spouse who spends her days doing cross stitching and crocheting blankets while waiting for her last breath. "We're here, Ma'am," he uttered wryly. I rolled my eyes at him and opened the car door. We made it to the parking lot. I look around for my parents, but they are nowhere to be found. We waited for about 30 minutes, but they never showed up. I called my dad, but he did not answer. What are these two up to? Suddenly my phone beeps. Hey pumpkin, we're unable to join you since your mother has unexpectedly fallen ill, maybe due to her hypertension; enjoy the night, you two, and take care. -Daddy Globe 2 "Ugh!" I'm getting annoyed. "What happened?" He asked. I showed him my dad's message on my phone and he called my dad. I couldn't hear their conversation since Theo was a little further away from where I was standing. When he returned, he chuckled and shook his head. "What did he say?" I asked him. "He said, 'Let's enjoy the night. So, shall we?" he smiled. He offered his arm, but I cast a sidelong glance and left him behind as I entered the amusement park. There are a few people around, which is unusual for an amusement park. I looked around, and my feet led me to the ice cream stand. "What can I get you, mi lady?" he asked. "I'll have the Rocky road flavor." I grumbled. "Oh, that's my favorite too though; two of rocky road flavor, please." he said. "Are you okay?" he asked, touching my cheeks with the back of his hand. He removed his coat and draped it across my shoulders. I felt like my cheeks are turning red and all the blood in my body had gone to my face. I just nodded and look up at the gigantic, slow-moving Ferris wheel in front of us to calm myself. "Here's your ice cream; is it okay for you to eat ice cream? You seem so cold," he inquired, concerned. "Yeah. I'm all good. There's no weather for an ice cream treat." I answered. He seems to be odd. He used to make fun of me and annoy me, but now he's a sweet gentleman like the ones I've penned about. "Would you like to ride the Ferris wheel? You know what, let's go." He didn't wait for my response and he grabbed my hand and dashed to the ticket booth. He bought tickets for us and we rode in one of the empty pods. Everything makes sense. This man and Dad get along well since they have the same personalities. They prefer to make decisions without consulting anyone. How am I going to cope with this now? I'm terrified of heights and get motion sickness. I'm afraid I'll pass out or end up dying. I passed out after dropping the ice cream I was holding. Huhu! the ice cream! Fortunately, Theo seized me right away, saving my skull from hitting the glass of the pod we were in. I heard him gently waking me up. That voice was loud at first, then it faded away till I couldn't hear anything. Is this the end of me? Will I die in this chapter? Hey-lo! It's me again! I apologize to everyone who has been waiting for Part 3 because of my update delay. I was so preoccupied with my cousin's wedding preparations. They did not hire a wedding planner, so I am responsible for assisting the bride with everything. You know, bridesmaid duties. By the way, I hope you had a great time reading this. Fate │ Part 2: WDIAFFFM? *"You have no idea how happy you made me. You are my safe haven in every storm within me. Amelie, you're my home. Can I be your home too?" Prince Nathan asked. He took the thing from his pocket, knelt on his left knee like a medieval knight, and offered a sparkling diamond ring.* *"Of course, Nathan, yes!" she said in a quavering voice.* *They're on cloud nine as a result of the euphoria they're feeling. They shared embraces. Prince Nathan was so overjoyed that he carried the princess in his arms and kissed her once again.* This scenario from the series I'm currently writing is playing in my thoughts as I stare into those lovely brown eyes in front of me. As if I were Princess Amelie from The Tale of the Two Princes, awestruck by her Prince Nathan. https://read.cash/@KirstenCassandra/the-tale-of-the-two-princes-eb1695cc "Girl, I brought you some— Ohh, am I interrupting something?" Nina asked, carrying a tray containing two cups of coffee and croissants and peering at us as if we were having a secret conversation through our eyes. "A-uhm... N-No, he's just asking whether this seat is already taken," I stuttered. "Oh, I'm sorry it's already taken, but my friend here isn't," Nina says, turning to face the cute guy in front of us. "Nina!" I widened my eyes to stop her gradually embarrassing me. The cute guy just smiled softly, nodded, and walked away. "NINEBRA SAN MIGUEL, look what you did! You scared him! You creepy biatch!" I exclaimed. "Eww! Don't ever call me that. Just in case you forgot, my name is now Nina San Miguel. You just fuel my rage at my alcoholic father, who gave me that horrible name." "Hey, he's still your dad, and the name he gave you is the sweetest thing I've ever heard," I said, munching on the croissant she had brought me. "You can't even say that with a straight face," she muttered. I gave her a serious look. She made a poker face at me, and we burst out laughing. That's the hilarious thing about us. Even when there is nothing to laugh about, we're giggling as if we have telepathic skills to read each other's minds. We parted ways after finishing our coffee. She took a cab, while I walked to the subway to catch a train home. I plugged in my earbuds, launched Spotify, and hit the shuffle button to listen to my zoning out playlist. It suddenly popped up to Spencer Crandall's song My Person. I could offer you one of my earphones just hit the play button below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lYaVNFHcpuQ This song made me think of someone. I can't remember who he was or even his face, but all I know is that he was my childhood playmate. My whole childhood memories was erased when I was eight years old due to an accident, so I'm not sure if it happened in real life or not. He comes to see me in my dreams every night. It's as if I'm a detective who is stymied by an unresolved case. I kept asking my parents, but they replied it was all in my head and except for Nina, I didn't have any playmates at the time. But it seemed so real, how the little boy in my dreams held my hand as we ran so quickly because a big dog was chasing us, how we laughed when he blew the punchline, how he protected me like a knight from other kids bullying me, and how he acted like my king while we were playing in a tree house. Maybe it's because my childhood was boring that I'm making up stories in my head. Perhaps this is why I became a writer. I was so lost in thoughts that I didn't realize I had arrived at our house. When I knocked on the door, my dad, to my surprise, opened it. I frequently arrive sooner than he does. He works as a Sous Chef at a restaurant, so there's a lot more that has to be addressed after they close the restaurant for the day, which is why I'm surprised he's here so early. "Dad, what happened? Why are you here so early?" I asked. "Pumpkin, we have a guest. I invited the new Head Chef over for dinner, so he's here. You should meet him. He's single." "Dad! Even you? Seriously?" "I'm just kidding. Come on, he's in the kitchen with your mom; just say hello and be a nice kid." My father seemed to be threatening me, so I followed him to our kitchen. After much persuasion from my dad, I agreed and we proceeded to the kitchen. I noticed a well built man in light blue long sleeves standing in front of the burner, watching my mom cook. "Theo, this is my only princess, Reese. Reese, my boss, Theo." Dad stated. When the man and I saw each other, we were both stunned. He's the cute guy I met in the cafe. Is this my destiny? Fate? When I suddenly remembered what Nina had done earlier, I wanted to dig into the dirt where I was standing and bury myself. **Universe! This is too much for a prank!** Hey-lo! Part three? Hehe. Oneirataxia │ Part 1: WDIAFFFM? "Reese! It's already 5:00 p.m. Let's go?" "I'm afraid I can't, Nina. I'll have to work for more hours. Sadly, I have to finish this manuscript today, you go home first." "Oh, okay, take care, girl!" "You too." ***Fenreese Gale Chan*** is the name. My name is a bit unique, isn't it? My mom is infatuated with wolves (fenris), which is why she gave me that name. To keep things quick, just call me Reese. I work as a writer, a fiction writer, at Swift Publishing Group, Inc., one of the top five largest publishing companies in the country. Sounds appealing, doesn't it? But it puts me under a lot of stress. On top of that, I didn't feel like I was improving as a writer. Procrastination continuously draws me in and leads me to experience writer's block most of the time. Nina, my friend, often pushes me to take a long break from work and travel in order to gain new experiences and inspiration for writing a great masterpiece to be proud of. She's always searching for guys on the internet not for herself, but for me. She is in fact desperate. I tried to go on a date with the guys she "swiped right," but they stand in stark contrast to my boyfriend. I do, in fact, have a boyfriend. That's why I don't get Nina's point about me dating other guys. I met him 8 months ago in a Michelin-starred restaurant where he works as an Executive Chef. He's 32, so he's only six years older than me. It's all right. I like older men though. Lol. I'm not a simp or I am, but, sister! Let me describe him further to you so you can understand why I'm so crazy over him. He has a Korean 2 x 3 barber's cut. I'm not sure what it's called, but here it is. I like the way his freshly trimmed hair feels. It tickles my fingertips. He also looks great with that hairstyle. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/453034043737117914/ His eyes are the most beautiful chinky eyes I've ever seen. It truly is an ocean of wonder. When I looked into his eyes, I saw not only the beauty of their brownness, but also the expressiveness of his every gaze. His nose is so adorable that the tip of his nose becomes pointed when he smiles. His lips are painted with sliced strawberries, yet they are the softest I've ever felt. I'm sure he's smiling right now, finally showing off his gleaming white teeth like a model of tooth paste and mouth wash. He is pretty tall. When we compare our heights, I am up to his lips. Even if we're standing, he's at the perfect height for me to rest my head on his broad chest while embracing me with his big arms whenever I need it. That means all the time, I guess. He's really a hunk. Ahh! What a safe haven this is. And most importantly, in all facets of his physical appearance, he is hygienic. He smells really good. It's like a feast in my nose when he's around. He loves taking baths and he knows how to take care for himself. Well, all of the aforementioned is merely a bonus for me. He's also mentally mature man. Even though we're thousands of miles apart, he's always concerned about my safety. When I'm down, he looks after my mental health and treats me like a queen every damn time. I'm so lucky to have him, but the sad thing is... "Fantasizing about your fictitious man again?" Nina interrupts the serenity and tranquility I'm enjoying as I close my eyes. "Oh, goodness! Hey! You startled me. I thought you had already left?" I almost fell out of my chair from shock. "It's raining outside, so maybe we could share your umbrella because I forgot mine at home. Don't worry! I'll buy you a cup of coffee at the cafe across the street from our office." Nina explained, smiling creepily. "Fine. Wait for me in the lobby. I'll just tidy my table real quick." "Okay!" Nina gave me a thumbs up and started walking out the door. **In the cafe.** "Just sit here. I'll go grab you your favorite cup of coffee." Nina said. We've been friends since we were kids, so she knows everything about me. I took my phone from my purse and began checking my calendar when a man with a calming voice asked me. "Is this seat already taken?" "Ye—" I couldn't finish my sentence when I saw who was behind that sweet voice. He seems to be someone taken from a dream. **He looks just like my fictional man.** Hey-lo! Part two? Hehe. Hope you enjoyed it. Ciao, bella! Lorie Story [RRFB] I'm spacing out again in front of my computer. Sipping my coffee and nibbling on some bread with cheese and caramel on top. Caramel... This reminded me of the first fight I had in first grade, which had a lasting impact on my life. Lorie, a caramel-flavored junkie, was a classmate of mine. She was the first person I had a fight with since my younger sister was a newborn that time. Hehe. She's a pampered brat, a brazen, pretentious me-tooer and a pretty girl full of idiocy. At least she's pretty. Lol. We're seatmates who share a desk chair, so I asked her to place our bags between us to mark our boundaries, and she agreed. Just so you know, I'm a territorial person; I've always marked my territory, so I'm not into sharing. Hehe. Let's go back to Lorie. It's a peaceful Wednesday at school. I'm thrilled since it's just two days before my birthday. My parents are planning a celebration at school because my birthday falls on the last day of the week. A perfect day, indeed. But then Lorie's parents asked our teacher, who was a close friend of Lorie's parents, to celebrate her birthday on the same day we were planning because Lorie's birthday was on Sunday. Mind you, they requested that my parents just bring the dessert because they will bring packed food for the students and teachers. They also emphasized that we do not need to bring a cake because Lorie will bring her own. Hmmkay. Anger triggers ahead. My mom, of course, did not agree, but my dad did, so we will bring the dessert, but he insisted on bringing my own cake to blow. He convinced me to just celebrate in the restaurant after class and got me a toy gun set, and I nodded. Then everything is settled. That is something my father taught me: if there is a disagreement, negotiate and compromise. Friday came. As negotiated, they brought the food packs and we brought the dessert. When we finished eating, my mom took the cake and was about to open the box when the teacher suddenly halted her, and said that Lorie's cake was placed in front because my cake was bigger and wouldn't fit in the table, despite the fact that the two cakes would fit. I felt humiliated. I held my emotions to myself since I didn't want my classmates to see me cry. I asked my parents to leave the classroom since what's the point of us staying? I bawled my eyes out while we were already outside the school's gate. I looked so miserable. My dad console me and told me that it would not happen again, while my crybaby mom began to cry for me. I'm so lucky and blessed to have them both. *Sobbing while typing this* If you're gonna ask me, yeah, my dad did still buy me the toy gun set and a bay blade too. Hehe. Monday. I didn't want to go to school because of the embarrassment I felt as a result of what had happened, but I also didn't want to miss the lessons, so I opted to stand up and fix myself as if nothing had happened, swallowing my shame. Lorie was there in our classroom when I came, asking how my birthday was, I ignored her and covered my nose as if she were a deadly fart. Our school is hosting an event on that day so it's *freestyle day*, which means we don't have to wear our uniforms and may wear whatever we want as long as it doesn't violate our student handbook. I'm not sure if other schools are like this, but I think most are. "What are you wearing, I thought your dad usually bought you stylish clothes? Look at me, I'm fashionable and trendy." pointing her brown tube top like she's a banana wrapped in an edible wrapping. "Well, I looked cute in this dress, and you look like a naked turon in your top." I responded with a poker face. She became enraged and instantly yanked out my hair. I reacted by pulling her hair out as well. When our teacher came, I was the only one who was summoned to detention and I was transferred from the pilot section to section two. That's when I learned something: if you have enough power, everything is possible. BUT THE WORLD TURNS. Maybe the power you wield is insufficient to keep you on top. To make the long story short, I'm back in the pilot section in third grade, whereas Lorie failed the requisite grades and was sent to section three.

Argh! This Love Bug! [RRFB] I'm sitting on a bench outside the mall, alone but not lonely. I'm waiting for someone I have no idea when he'll arrive. It got me thinking about the good and bad decisions I've made in my life that have led me here. I've met this man. A tough man who hides his pain behind his sharp-looking chinky eyes to shield his feelings and vulnerability. On the outside, he seems cold-hearted, but this is his defense mechanism to guard his shattered heart he got from all the battles he had been through. I had no idea that inside him is just a kid with a wide imagination who likes to paint but is colorblind. But then we met, and a stroke of luck happened. He took up his paintbrush again and painted my monotonous world of black and white with vibrant colors I'd never seen in my life. I'm a mediocre. An average. Things can be done well but never perfectly. That's all I think about myself, but he showed me that I'm more. He motivated me to gather up my pen again and write some pieces that I couldn't fathom myself doing. Made me think that I'm actually good. I've never noticed him creeping deeper into the world I've created for myself. I expected him to be in the corner of my crust like a stranger I bumped somewhere and then forget about his face after a few hours. As he incrementally inflicts my mantle on his way to the core, here I am, incrementally unlocking every rusty door I haven't unlocked in a long time. I tried to suppress my feelings for him to make things easier, but the more I did it, the stronger it became. I'm afraid I'm going to hurt him. I have no control over the demons within me, which is guarded by a vast maze and flying dementors, that sucks every wonderful memory of anyone who tries to enter. But then he said, "Your demons are stronger but my love for you is greater than them.." and I let him in. It's not easy fighting those monsters. We sometimes fall back to square one, but he always helps me get back up and make every fall as safe as he promised. I know that in the long run, we will face more obstacles in life that may tear us apart, but I trust that his love for me is stronger than that. "Sorry. Did you wait too long, baby?" a sweet voice interrupted my reverie. "I've been here for over two hours! What took you so long?" I fumed. "I got stuck in traffic. Come on! You're too beautiful when you're upset, but even more so when you're smiling. Gosh! My wife is too gorgeous!" He said, smiling widely. "You simp," I grumbled, trying not to smile. "I know you're hungry, so let's get something to eat before we tackle this grocery list, okay? I left the kids with my mom, but we'll pick them up after our date, so don't worry about them Hmm?" I smiled, and we walked hand in hand, as if we were an unmarried couple on a date in broad daylight. Hey-Lo! Just a quick write up while waiting for the wolf to awaken while listening to my Dire Wolf Sorcerer playlist on Spotify and getting away from all my worries. Thank you very much for taking the time to read this. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. Ciao, bella!

Talking About My Odd Dislikes [RRFB] This morning, while I sipped my coffee, I talked to myself, as I usually do to help me sort things out. I've realized I have a lot of weird dislikes. I put together a list and pondered whether there was a logical reason why I despised those things, as if it were a pet peeve or something. So here are the top things I dislike. (In fact, there are many more, but I forgot about those; maybe I'll update this article and include them here if I get a chance.) Plainly Sweet Food I usually wanted to balance my taste buds since I get sick of eating food with only one flavor. I enjoy foods that blend tastes on my tongue. I know it seems unusual, but I don't enjoy Halo-halo (a Filipino dessert made with mixed fruit, boiled sweetened white beans, milk, and shaved ice, typically topped with purple yam, crème caramel, and ice cream) when there's no soy sauce or anything salty next to it. Carrots and Cucumbers Am I the only one? Haha! My aunt used to make a pasta dish with a lot of carrots when I was a kid. My aunt said it was healthy and tasty, but when I tried it, it was hard to chew and a little bitter, so I threw up. I felt as though I had been traumatized. Lol. What about cucumbers? I just don't like the way it smells. Hehe. Garlic and Onion I have no problem mixing onion and garlic in dishes, but I don't eat it. One of the things I consider in what I eat is its smell, and the two stated above fall short for me. It also lingers in your mouth even after you brush your teeth a couple of times. That is also why I don't eat pickles or other preserved foods. The smell bothers me greatly. So don't ask me if you can see them on the edge of my plate before I start eating. Hehe. Banana I think I mentioned it in one of my previous articles. You may look at one of those here. But I had no choice but to eat it because bananas are rich in iron, which I needed to cure my anemia. *sigh* https://read.cash/@KirstenCassandra/may-dump-12-7afc6acd Cookies and Cream Yes. That's right. It's way too sweet for my liking. I'm not sure whether there's a scientific basis for it, but eating that much sugar makes my head hurt. I also dislike it when it gets stuck in the pits of my teeth, making it difficult to brush every area of them. My grandfather taught me a lot about how to care for my teeth, so I'm quite sensitive to them. He says that caring for your teeth is far easier than putting up with headaches and fever caused by cavities. Humid, Tight and Crowded Places I was diagnosed with claustrophobia. Maybe I'll write about it in my next article. To cut a long story short, I can't take the humidity. I'm having trouble breathing. When there are a lot of people, I suffer a panic attack. I can't interact to someone closer than a meter away. I couldn't afford to stay in a crowded place, and I couldn't bear to go along the congested alley for more than five minutes. Dirty and Unorganized I can't handle being in a filthy place. Unsanitary stuff make me gag. I am really sensitive, particularly in the bathroom and kitchen. Also, I become easily irritated when my belongings are not organized according to their classification. Too persnickety. Sweat and Wet, Rain and Damped Places "It's dirty when it's wet," I've thought since I was a kid. I'm not comfortable wiping someone else's sweat or even my own with my bare hands. It's as if I'm a germophobe or something. When I'm cooking, I usually have a dry towel nearby since I regularly wash my hands. When I touch something, such as peeled onion or garlic, I always smell my hands after touching it since I'm not fine with something other than soap fragrance in my hands. Rainy days upset me when I have to leave the house. When I was in kindergarten, my grandfather usually drives me to school, but on rainy days, my dad will drop me off and carry me to our classroom since I detest getting my feet wet. I assume there are mosquito larvae or other microorganisms in the road potholes, which bothers me. Maybe you're wondering. How can I bathe if I despise wet places and things? The truth is that I love taking baths. I could spend 2 hours or more in the shower. Flowing water is great, but if the water is stagnant, I'll think about it. Unhygienic I'm drawn to guys who are neat, fragrant, knows how to take care of himself and self-conscious about their hygiene rather than merely good-looking. It's basic. Who wants to hang around with someone who stinks? You have no idea where their hands came from before shaking yours. It's the worst turnoff ever, I think. The Sound of Goodbyes Make "I'll never understand why goodbyes have to exist." Even during phone calls, I never say "Bye." It makes me anxious. I used to have a tiny dog when I was 8. As far as I remember, Brownie is the name—a common name if your dog is brown. I go home for lunch at noon. I kissed Brownie in his head before returning to school, and when I whispered "Bye-bye," he whimpered. It bothers me the entire day at school, so I asked my grandfather to bring me home quickly after my class. When I came back home, Brownie is gone. We looked for him everywhere and found out that drunkards from outside our subdivision had strangled and slaughtered him when he escaped from the gate. My poor Brownie. That was the first incident, and many more followed. I didn't say I was cursed, but it felt that way. Since then, I've felt as though it would be a tragedy if someone said goodbye to me or if I said goodbye to someone. Hey-lo! Did I just unveil some of my hidden rare cards today? Well, I suppose so. Hehe. It's better to write anything than gnaw on this tedious and pointless three-hour meeting. Lol. Writing this type of article is actually fun; you should try it and tag me if you do. Hihi. Keep safe and have a great day. Ciao, bella!

Earth After Dark : Lovers' Quarrel? | Part 5 This story is linked to these articles. You might want to see it before reading this to make sense of everything: At The Mall ( EAD ) @meitanteikudo https://read.cash/@meitanteikudo/at-the-mall-ead-f00febca Earth After Dark : Pointing Guns | Part 4 https://read.cash/@KirstenCassandra/earth-after-dark-pointing-guns-part-4-5c2da584 Dinner Date @meitanteikudo https://read.cash/@meitanteikudo/dinner-date-9a6aa00f I used to think that being alone in this world was something that people fantasized about. You have complete freedom. You can yell every time you want, you can drive 180kph without breaking any traffic laws, you don't have to worry about what to wear since no one will bother you if you walk naked down the street, and you can take whatever you want for free because the entire world is yours. But living alone is not as great as it seems. It's like watching a good anime. It was thrilling at first. You watch every episode of that series until it becomes your favorite, and you watch it every day until you have memorized every detail. As time passes, you will become weary of your daily routine, which will lead to anxiety and depression. It's like you're wearing a red shirt in a bullfight. It's dangerous. It's torturing. I thought my grief would never cease, but then the universe gave me Elio. His existence made me feel calmer. I also made a new friend, James, who was a survivor of the disaster for which we had no explanation. "Hey, you good?" James breaks my reverie. I didn't realize we'd arrived in front of the restaurant. "Yeah. I'm all good. Shall we?" My lips parted when I saw the lovely setting. There were red rose petals strewn on the floor leading to the arranged table for two in the center of the room just like in a romantic movie where the man will draw the chair for his lady and help her sit. They will talk over a steak and a glass of red wine. Someone will play the violin next to them, and the man will suddenly pull something from his pocket, a ring, and kneel in front of his girlfriend, saying, "Will you marry me?" And the woman will respond... "Luna?" Elio was puzzled. He's asking what level of doneness I prefer for my steak, and I'm just staring into space and smiling like a lunatic. "YES! I DO!" I shouted. I'm doomed. "Huh?" Elio's face filled with more confusion. "U-Uhm, I mean, what is it again?" My face flushed with embarrassment as I noticed James chuckling on my side while crossing his arms. "The doneness of your steak, Miss Ma'am." Elio's voice sounded irritated. "W-Well done. Thanks." I stammered. When I returned to James' side, he was still chuckling. I gave him a stern glance and a fiery eyeroll. "Oh hey, uhm, here's the thing. I just went out to get some liquor. I have someone waiting for me too. You go on ahead with your dinner. I'll drop by again sometime." James smiled, staring at us as if we were a couple arguing in front of him. He pulled his business card from his wallet and handed it to me in case I needed help or there was an update on our situation. He also invited us to stay at the hotel where he is staying since it's too spacious for him to live alone there. "Oh, okay. But first, before you leave, let's eat dinner. Your place is an hour away from here so don't complain." I said smiling. He agreed, so he pulled up an extra chair and we rearranged the plates and cutlery to make it a table for three. Elio served the food he cooked, and we sat at the table. Elio prepared a well-done steak with salsa-roasted potatoes and broccolis as a side dish, as I requested. I'm surprised. I just saw this dish while watching Gordon Ramsay. When I cut the meat, it is so tender that I don't need much pressure to cut it, and the juiciness is mouthwatering. It tastes so good and melts in my mouth. This robot is incredible. I'm astounded. After we finished eating, we accompanied James to the liquor store near the restaurant, where we assisted him in selecting his preferred drinks and hauling them to his pick-up truck. We said our goodbyes, and I returned to the mall. "What's with that face?" I said as I looked at his crumpled paper-like face. "James, huh?" Elio said, his eyes narrowing. "What's with him? Are you... jealous?" I teased. "Stop it, Luna. You're not funny." He grumbled. "Fine! Then don't talk to me for a couple of days!" I exclaimed as I stormed out. "Is this really how women are? When you're angry, they're getting angry too, instead of coaxing you and apologizing for the two of you not getting along?" Elio mumbled to himself. To relieve my stress, I took a cold bath. When I was finished, I put on a sleepwear I had taken earlier and went to the mall's home furniture department to look for a bed and sleep when I heard someone screaming loudly. To be continued. Hey-lo! I haven't written an entry for the Earth After Dark theme in a long time. I'm glad I finished a single entry today to cut down the number of drafts in my account. Hehe. May Dump 2/2 [KirstenCassandra's Tortuous Life] Hey! I'm glad you're here again. Here's the continuation of yesterday's brief pause. If you haven't already, you may read it here. It's like saving the rainbow after the rain, as my wolf put it. Hehe. Have fun reading! https://read.cash/@KirstenCassandra/may-dump-12-7afc6acd 13. Dr. Taylor Alison Swift Of course, Taylor will always have the number 13. Hihi. Taylor Swift just became a doctor—technically, earning her honorary doctorate from New York University with the graduating class of 2022 on May 18, 2022. I watched the entire video of her speech and it made me so happy to see her so precious and cheerful. Reminiscing on her previous experiences and mistakes that led her to where she is now. I know she didn't know who I was and had no idea I existed, but as a fan for 14 years, I witnessed all of her triumphs and struggles. Despite all of her dilemmas, she continued to write songs to encourage others like myself. Her songs keep me going in life and have made me believe in love again. "Losing things doesn’t just mean losing. A lot of the time, when we lose things, we gain things too." — Dr. Taylor Alison Swift, NYU, 2022 14. Vewi Pewi Shoes Don't mind my peeling nail polish. Lol. We headed to SM Megamall that time and stopped into Payless to see whether there was a new shoe design. Don't judge me. I'm just checking. Haha! And I saw this gorgeous pair of shoes. It's my favorite color! I resisted the urge to pull my debit card from my bag and pay for these sneakers. My heart is tempting me to buy it because I rarely see stuff in this hue, but my mind is telling me to shut up and save enough for the land investment. Surprisingly, my mind dominates. Soon, pewi shoes. I'll come back for you! 15. E-Skirt-er Skiiiirrrttt! Lol. A bit blurry, eh? I think my boss asked me to stop by the 8-minute drive convenience store to get AA batteries at the time. I wore a skirt that week since it's difficult for me to wear jeans because my left knee is still recovering from the injury. 16. Watsons Galore I'm not budol-ed. Or am I? We headed to Capitol Commons' Estancia Mall to get some body wash and sunscreen. And then something magical happened. I 'accidentally' carried about 15 items to the payment counter and tried to convince myself that I needed the products inside the brown bag as I walked out of the store. These are essential. These are essential. These are essential. 17. Pink is my Perfect Camouflage Now that the election drama in the Philippines has subsided (or perhaps not), I'm free to wear pink again. Hehe. Some say I seem classy and skinny in pink, which is why I wear it for that day's event to camouflage the fact that I'm really a boyish sort of gal. Speaking of skinny, why is it so tough to maintain a flat tummy, especially if you're hungry all the time? You think you're sexy one day and then look like a pregnant dolphin the next. Lol. You've been working out all week, but one wave of beef burrito and your hard work will be gone. That sucks. 18. From Zero to Prison Real Quick One thing about me is that I always pick my battles intelligently. I despise wasting time, which is why I let teensy issues slide. But if you awaken this dragon within me and unleash the sleeping savage biatch, say your prayers, sweetie. You're done. 19. Breaky Date My tummy is full, as is my heart. We had breakfast at a hotel pool area. I haven't had a silog meal in a long time. It made me happy, and we're sitting right next to the pool. Viewing large bodies of water, such as the sea, lake, waterfall, pool, or even a fountain, soothes me, as does the sound of flowing water. *sigh* Tranquility. 20. Vewi Pewi Ice Kweem Can I not eat it and just gaze at it all day? Waaaah! This hue is just so pretty. That photo was taken during a party celebrating one of our friends' birthday. I ate a lot since they forced me to devour everything on my plate. But my tummy grumbled when I saw this ice cream as if I wasn't full. "There's always room for dessert." as the saying goes, and in my case, there's plenty. Hihi. 21. Chocobebuu Chocobebuu cutie. Hihi. That reminds me of a local chocolate known as "Choco Baby". Thank you very much, @alykavinsky for these treats for my sweet tooth. These made me really happy. Guess which variety of chocolate was the first to run out? Hehe. Aly and I have nearly identical tastes in practically every way. Being a chocoholic is one of them. Perhaps that is how people with anger issues are. Just kidding! (or not. Haha!) 22. Getaway Car You were drivin' the getaway car We were flyin', but we'd never get far... ♫ ♬ Just a quick break from worry, distress, and failure. I took the long road despite my motion sickness, because I know it was all worthwhile. I found my home. It's not about the car and the journey that matters; for me it's the destination, and who will be there, waiting for you when you land. ⁸ Hey-lo! Finally! I finished it. I have so many photos to attach with stories to tell, but I believe those are the top 22 photos from my camera roll in May. I'll do the June Dump next month, if feasible. Hehe. I didn't realize I'd already shared a quarter of my life this time. Hehe. I hope you find this article as entertaining as I do. What are your thoughts on this? Tell me about it. Hihi.

May Dump 1/2 [KirstenCassandra's Tortuous Life] Heeeey! How's everything going? I've been gone for like... two months ago? I'm not sure. Hehe. I've been lost in space lately because of some personal issues, but now I'm working on it and trying to stir my dormant soul in procrastination again. To kick off my comeback here, I'd like to share some photos from last month, which I titled "*May Dump*". Do you think these 22 photos *(Insert the song 22 by Taylor Swift. Hehe!)* will make up for my two-month absence? Let's see what I can do. 1. Nails When I'm stressed, one of my favorite things to do is have my nails done. I love my nails because they make my smol and thin fingers look longer, like lighted candles. I'm not worried that it would break my nails because I take vitamins for them, which is why they are so strong. *(Mas strong pa sa... Nvm. Haha!)* 2. A 'Little' **Disastrous** What happened? So here's the story. It's Thursday *(Hell day for me)*, early in the morning, at 5:00 a.m., my phone rang, it's my boss who's calling. It's an emergency at work. One of our site broke down and it's around the area near me. So I rushed there to check it with my other two colleagues. When we're almost finished at 7:20 a.m., I went down the sandy stairs and I accidently slipped and rolled down. I got bruises on my back, legs and on my palms. I rushed to the clinic in our office and got myself treated by our company nurse. I continued to work at the office after I was treated because my body wasn't too painful. But the next day, I am unable to move my body due to excruciating pain. I'd just informed my boss that I wouldn't be able to work that day. Fortunately, it was Friday. I was able to rest my body for three days without using my sick leave. 3. Cat-ching up Hello, my little munchkin. Hihi. Please excuse my chapped lips. Haha! The weather is scorching hot and I'm melting like an ice cream. I need to come back home since my voting registration is kept there. We arrived at the school to vote at 10:00 a.m. I woke up late since I had a date the day before. Hihi. The queue is far longer than I anticipated. Thankfully, our precinct number has a shorter line, so we're done by 10:30 a.m. 4. Silent Proof of Pain I suppose I was feeling a little melancholic that day, when I noticed this post on my Facebook feed. That got me thinking about the scars all over my body. Every scar has a tale to tell. Some are happy, some are sad, some are tragic, and some are things I don't want to talk about. I hope that one day I won't have to cover my scars with concealer and may be proud of them all. 5. Long Story Short, I Survived. Oohh... I seem cute in this photo. Whahhaha! That day, I had just gotten home from work. A really grueling day. We went to our Pampanga site since I am the last touch and will commission the site to boost the mobile phone service in that area. We arrived on-site at 10:00 p.m. on Friday. We rested for a few hours before getting back to work at 12:00 a.m. on Saturday. We worked all day and finished the rectification at 11:00 p.m. The real problem is not the stress of the job in my case; it is the long drive to distant locations. My motion sickness is to blame for this. 6. Rameeeeennnn! Great! Now I'm craving. Ugh. Kyukyu Ramen is currently my best-loved ramen restaurant. My favorite is their Spicy Ichiban Ramen. I saved this photo from their website in the hopes of inviting my friends out to dinner, but I failed. It is extremely difficult to align our work schedules. 7. Date with Ate Joie I seem to be tall. Haha. Say hi to Ate Joie. She's my go-to gal. We went to SM Megamall to look around and get some necessities. I've already forgotten what we bought there. All I remember is we're budol-ed by the quiet expensive lippies that we didn't intend to buy. The magic of 30% off. Lol. 8. Nails Again You got it right. I'm stressed out again, and my mental health is deteriorating. Sometimes I just want to be the background plant. Unnoticed. Unbothered. I don't have to interact with people on a daily basis, I don't have to work just to pay bills, and I don't even have to decide what to wear to work. All I have to do is sit here and look pretty. 9. Yellow Blooms Looking through the balcony of our office. Staring into space. Feeling sad, lost and empty. When I noticed the tree in the middle of C-5 road that the flower doesn't bloom for years, bloom just now. That made me happy since yellow is my happy color. 10. Hey, Doc! Eme. Just another selfie. My friends and I were doing stuff in the parking lot at the time, and one of them suddenly called me, and as I turned at her, she snapped the camera. Oohh... That is unusual for a stolen shot. Hehe. This photo made me realize what I would look like if I pursued my ambition of becoming a doctor. If there is a parallel universe, I hope my other self can live her dreams there. I look good in white, I guess. 11. Coffeeholic I used to drink at least five cups of coffee every day, but after making a pact with the wolf to not drink coffee for a month, everything has changed and I've only had one cup of coffee per day. I was quite frustrated at first, especially when I could smell freshly brewed coffee, but now I just do it in moderation. "Sa'yo na lang talaga magpa-palpitate". Haha! 12. Turown I hate bananas. If you like bananas, go on to number 13, which will be posted tomorrow. Hihi. Is it only me? I'm not sure. Another hidden rare card has been revealed. Hehe. I dislike eating slimy things. At first taste, the banana is fine. However, as I chew it, it feels like vomit in my mouth, and I am unable to swallow it. And the aftertaste bothers me. The interesting part is that I'm anemic. And one of the foods that my doctor prescribed me to eat is banana. My bosses are aware of it, so whenever they see a banana, they buy it and give it to me. I'm not sure if they're just concerned about my health or if they like seeing my disgust. Hey-lo! I apologize for the brief pause, but this is just too long for a single article. I'll upload the 2/2 tomorrow, as promised. Hihi. I missed writing here so much that I did all I could to think of a single writing prompt, and this is what I came up with to overcome writer's block. Not bad for a first go, is it? Let's catch up in the comments! xoxo Santé! What to read next? ***May Dump 2/2*** https://read.cash/@KirstenCassandra/may-dump-22-ba9ead50

The Tale of the Two Princes : Tasogare-doki │ Part 8 "A-Amelie... No... Don't say yes... Nhhh" "No!" Prince William yelled and jolted him out of his sleep. "Oh, it's just a nightmare. Nightmare? My dream was so intense but I have no idea what happened..." "Why am I dressed in rags? What is this place? Am I dreaming again?... What is that delicious smell?" He asked himself. "Finally, you're awake." the stranger said cheerfully. He has short wavy ginger hair, blue eyes, freckles on his face, and a slim build. "Who are you? What do you want? Are you one of them— Arrgghh!" Prince William exclaimed frantically. He only came to a halt when he felt pain in his back. "One of what? Don't move. Your wounds have not healed completely, Sir. Just rest for a bit..." the stranger said. "Thank you for helping me. What's your name? Where are we?" Prince William asked. "My name is Percy, a servant at the castle. We're in my cottage in the Kingdom of Cyra's forest. I thought you'd never wake up after being unconscious for six days.." "Six days?? I need to get out of here. I'm wasting time.." Prince William declared. *Kruu-wuukk* "Uhm... I think you should eat first before you go." Percy offered after hearing the roaring dragon within the prince's tummy. He helped the prince in rousing himself in bed. Percy delivered the prince the meal he had prepared: a corn pottage—a thick maize soup with a sweet flavor—served with a freshly baked soft loaf bread. A simple meal that tastes like a king's feast. "This tastes so good! I've never had such a scrumptious meal in my life," Prince William exclaims as he sips the soup with his spoon. "Yes, I'm pleased you liked it. My mother taught me, she's a brilliant cook, but she didn't have a chance to show it off since the Alveria's castle only allows people who know how to read and write, which we don't," Percy said regretfully, not looking at the prince. "That's why I'm here; I temporarily left her in the Kingdom of Alveria to work here to feed them," he added. "Kingdom of Alveria? That's where I live; why don't you come home with me?" asked Prince William. "You don't seem to understand what I'm saying, sir. I couldn't go back; I need this job for my family." Percy finally looks the prince in the eyes. "I'm a prince. I can help you and your mother in getting jobs. Just believe me, Percy. It's the least I can do to repay you for helping me." Prince William remarked. Percy barely nodded as they continued to wolf down their meal while discussing why this happened to them. **The hour of twilight came.** Prince William chose to continue his quest, and Percy couldn't stop him, so he just helped the prince gather everything he needed, including the Marigold oil to heal the prince's wound since Percy couldn't accompany him into the mountain that only royals could enter. "*Tasogare-doki*..." Percy uttered as they walked to the mountain's base. "What did you say?" Prince William asked. "*Tasogare-doki*... It was mentioned in my favorite tale my father read me when he's still alive. It derived from the word '*Tasokare*,' which means 'who is that?' since they believe you might encounter something or someone like magic in the twilight hour." Percy explained. "Oh, don't mind me; it's just a fantasy my father told me, but it's my favorite story." He added. "Interesting story," Prince William said, smiling. Something that happened in the past is being remembered. "Oh, look! We've arrived! They say that before you go, write something significant to you in your palm with your finger, and whatever you write in your palm will sparkle, signaling that you are indeed a royal." Percy stated. Prince William glanced at his palm and write the letter 'A' with his finger, but it didn't illuminate or sparkle. He tried it several times, but it didn't work. "You cretin! You're fooling me. Okay, I'll go ahead now. Thank you for everything. Wait for me to return to the cottage." A powerful wind pushed the prince away from the mountain's invisible barrier just as he was ready to enter. "S-Sir, you're not a royal..." Percy said, stunned by what had just happened. He was helping Prince William in standing when they heard someone yelling the Prince's name from a distance. *To be continued.* Yello! 💛 Eyy! It's been a long time. Is there anyone here who remembers or misses me? Hehe. Thank you for reading this article/story of mine, and I hope you have a good time. The Tale of the Two Princes : Ruptured Veins │ Part 7 Prince William has been traveling for a week. His food and water supplies were also running low, and his horse was undoubtedly tired as well. He was already close to the Kingdom of Cyra when he was halted by unknown men who seemed threatening because of the knives and swords they were wielding. Bandits. "Uh, hey, folks. Just passing by..." Prince William nervously said. "Oh, another prince attempting to pursue Oizys. Today is our lucky day, boys!" One of the bandits said, smirking. And all of the guys around him laugh evilly, as though something awful will happen to the prince. "We won't hurt you, Your Highness, if you give us what we want without hesitation." He added. "Then, what do you want?" Prince William asked. "Everything. From your jewelry, golds, food, clothing, and shoes. Everything." One of the bandits said. To end the negotiations, Prince William surrendered all he had until all that left were his undergarments and the necklace his mother had given him when he was a child. "You don't seem to get what I mean when I say "everything". Alright. You may keep your underwear, but I'd want to have that necklace." One of the bandits said. "Please, not this one. This is really important to me. Please. You have everything I own..." Prince William pleaded. "Well, then we'll have to take it away from you by force." The bandits drew their swords from their sheaths and aimed them at the prince. First, he was attacked by a gigantic bald man with the name "Esmeralda" tattooed in an arrow heart on his chest. He dodged every slash of the man's sword. Prince William hit the guy in the stomach and used his knee to knock him down, giving him the opportunity to seize that man's sword. Prince William was doing great and had defeated seven out of ten opponents until he was unexpectedly stabbed three times in the back. His knees weakened, and he slumped to the ground. He coughed and blood spilled out of his mouth. One of the bandits snatched the necklace from the prince's neck and went away as if nothing had happened. When Prince William could no longer hear anybody around him, he forced his eyes open, and despite his hazy vision, he saw an owl in front of him. It's Prince Nathan's owl. He remembered that owl who used to deliver a letter from Prince Nathan to the window of his chamber whenever his father, the king, imprisoned him for being disrespectful. "You don't really trust me, Nathan." He smirked. He took out the royal handkerchief with the blood stain and handed it to the owl. The owl seemed to understand the task and flew with a handkerchief in its beak. "It's all in your hands now, Nathan. Do your best." The prince last words and slowly closed his eyes. "Hey! Hey! Sir, open your eyes!" the stranger said. The stranger touched the prince's wrist, and he felt his every pulse weaken, it's like he's about to die. He carried the prince into the nearby forest and took him to his cottage. He prepared a basin with water and a towel. He cleaned the prince's body as well as his wounds. After stitching up the prince's wounds, the stranger came out of his house and gathered marigold flowers from his yard. He extracted the oil that was produced by the flower and then carefully applied it to the wound. He was about to go get some clothes to lend to the prince when he overheard the prince muttering in his sleep. "A-Amelie... Amelie...No..." To be continued. Yello! 💛 Yaay! We've reached the halfway point of the story. I'm so glad it's nearing its end. Haha! Anyway, I took the day off from work today due to severe dysmenorrhea and body pain. It's hilarious to think that both Prince William and I are in pain and bleeding right now. Lol. Thank you for taking the time to read this tale all the way through. I hope you've enjoyed reading this. Let me know your thoughts in the comments. Keep safe you guys. xoxo Santé! The Tale of the Two Princes : Plight Thee my Troth │ Part 6 **A week has passed**. People have reverted to their duties in the kingdom of Alveria after Prince William's departure. Prince Nathan, on the other hand, is extremely preoccupied with managing everything in the castle. He's got a lot in his plate right now since his father is gone and his mother is unwell. He went to the owlery to check whether the owl he dispatched to track Prince William had any news for him. He's quite concerned about his brother. He only wants to ensure that Prince William arrives safely in the Kingdom of Cyra. Then suddenly, an owl arrived, carrying a letter. *Greetings!* *I am eternally grateful for your help and for rescuing our dear princess. We're extremely worried about her. We're relieved that she's now in good hands. I know this troubles you, but I have a request.* *Could you kindly keep Princess Amelie safe until we arrive to take her home?* *While we were on our way to your kingdom, the bandits blew up the bridge that connects our kingdom to yours. We'll take care of this situation first, then we'll go there as soon as possible.* *Thank you very much, Prince Nathan.* *Queen of Maldonia* Prince Nathan immediately dispatched some of his workers to help the Kingdom of Maldonia in repairing the bridge. He was immersed in thoughts while holding the ring box inside his pocket that he had been carrying since yesterday when someone hugged him from behind. "My love, please don't move... You're too caught up with everything and don't have time to rest. Just stay with me for a little while. Even just for a while, my prince." Princess Amelie whispered. Prince Nathan turned to the princess and hugged her. Princess Amelie's head rested on the prince's broad chest as he brushed her long shiny hair and softly kissed her on the forehead. It's so quiet and peaceful in the owlery, yet they started dancing gently to music that only the two of them can hear. The princess raised her head and met her prince's gaze. Slowly, the prince glides his fingers into the princess's face, causing her to close her eyes. Finally, after so many trials and interruptions, they kissed. It was as light as a feather, and it was full of respect and love. "You have no idea how happy you made me. You are my safe haven in every storm within me. Amelie, you're my home. Can I be your home too?" Prince Nathan asked. He took the thing from his pocket, knelt on his left knee like a medieval knight, and offered a sparkling diamond ring. "Of course, Nathan, yes!" she said in a quavering voice. They're on cloud nine as a result of the euphoria they're feeling. They shared embraces. Prince Nathan was so overjoyed that he carried the princess in his arms and kissed her once again. 'Wag kayong judger d'yan. Tuloy!` It was the owl that Prince Nathan sent to follow Prince William on his journey a week ago. It's carrying a handkerchief that only royals have, but it's smeared with blood. They let go of each other's arms *as they should be*. The prince examined the handkerchief, seeing that the blood was still fresh. Prince Nathan got extremely worried about his brother and prepared his horse and other necessities urgently. "I'll go with you, Nathan" Princess Amelie said. "You don't have to, my princess. I'll bring William home with me. Wait for me." Prince Nathan confidently said. He whipped his horse and left the castle. To be continued. Yello! 💛 It's been a week since I last posted an article here, just like it has been a week for Prince William. I was so busy and preoccupied, like Prince Nathan, that I seemed to be managing a kingdom. How about you? Tell me about it. I'm happy you're back to follow through this series. I hope you're still enjoying it. Let's catch up in the comments. Keep safe you guys! Santé! Catchin' Butterflies [RRFB] Have you ever unexpectedly been in love romantically with a close friend, childhood pal, classmate or bestfriend? In a typical day, you would have seen them as just a mate, but suddenly you have woken up thinking about them and picturing you and that person as sweet as any other pair. ***"Am I the only one that's catchin' butterflies?"*** It is one of those questions that keeps you up all night, wondering if the person in your thoughts feels the same way as you do. You want to express your feelings, but you're afraid of losing what you two already have. *"Maybe I should keep a safe distance from him/her."* You've already made up your mind, right? I've heard it from you so many times, but look at you, still caring for that person. Loving them from afar even if it kills you inside. Trying to move on but continuously coming back to square one. Believe me, I've been there. So that's what I thought when I first heard this song called ***Butterflies by Abe Parker*** on Tiktok. It was only a sneak peek, a 15-second video, but it piqued my interest enough that I always check to see whether it's already on Spotify. I've been listening to that song on repeat for 8 hours straight since it was released two weeks ago. Haha! You can also listen to it by clicking the play button below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03l71gpGpBI Lyrics *How do I tell you I need you* *When you steal the breath in my lungs?* *My body shakes 'til the blood in my face* *Makes me awkward, smile, and turn around* *How do I hold these emotions* *When you spin my world out of place?* *One look at me, it feels like everything* *Is written marker on my face* If you know me or are close to me, you know how much I like reading and writing in metaphors and analogies, and this song is full of them. That is also one of the reasons I love Taylor Swift and her music. It is, without a doubt, a powerful instrument in the hands of a writer or poet. They have the ability to 'manipulate' their readers, activate their imaginations and transport them to a distant realm or parallel. It adds a gleam to an otherwise unnoticeable object. Instrumental and Vibe I was thrilled when I heard that the instrument used was the piano, and the chords are simpler than I expected, and I believe it is easier for my little hands to play the melody because the musical notes are close enough together. I'm hoping that procrastination won't deter me from doing a cover of this song. Huhu. I also checked the guitar chords and noticed that it takes seven chords and a capo on the first fret to play this song. The chords are D Em G Bm A F# m A/C#. Many creators have uploaded tutorials on YouTube, you can check it out. It has the vibe of a love song, of course. It's euphoric because of how he expresses his love for that person, but it's also melancholic since he can't tell that person he loves him/her. Final Thoughts It's fantastic! It's already on my 'zoning out' playlist. Yes. I have a playlist for zoning out. Haha! I know it seems odd, but zoning out is one of my hobbies. Hey! That's necessary. That is when I have a problem that has to be solved or when I am drafting a manuscript in my head, but most of the time I am escaping from the realities of life. I'll leave you with only one piece of advice: stop wondering about "what ifs" and tell that person how you feel. Unless you ask, you won't know if the person in your head right now loves you too. Let the story of Yeng Constantino and Ryan Bang serve as a lesson to us. Well, I've already done it. I've already told that person how I feel, and I'm glad I did. Now, go. Good luck! Yello! 💛 It's my first time writing a song review, and I'm not sure if I did it correctly. I hope I did. I just can't help myself; I love this song. Hehe. How are things going? I hope you're having a wonderful day as you read this. Are you happy? Sad? Or not? Tell me about it in the comments. I'm hoping today is a Fri-yay, not a Fri-nay. Santé! The Tale of the Two Princes : Villain in Disguise │ Part 5 "Your Highnesses, The Queen—" They all rushed to the queen's bedroom before the doctor could finish his sentence. "Mother, it's me Nathan. I'm here now. I'm sorry—" When he was holding his mother's hand, he realized it was as cold as ice. "Mother?... Mother?... Why isn't she waking up?" Prince Nathan asked the doctor, mystified, as he tried to wake his mother. "Her brain, as her body, had given up on functioning due to the severe depression she was experiencing. Unfortunately, your Majesties, the queen is momentarily comatose because of the brain inflammation." the doctor explained. "So, what should we do now? Is there a treatment?" Prince William asked. "A steep mountain may be seen in the subsequent kingdom of Cyra, into which only princes can enter. Oizys, the goddess of misfortune, worry, sadness, and depression, lives there. Many princes have tried but they all failed. She is the only one who can help us heal the queen." the doctor answered. "I'll go." Prince William firmly said. What Prince William said stunned everyone. It was like only cricket could be heard in that room. They thought he was exceedingly selfish, with just himself and his own benefit in mind. "Why are you so surprised? Well I can't blame you. Everyone sees me as a villain, but only my mother has shown me that I am also worthy, so I will go without a doubt." Prince William said. "The Kingdom of Cyra is a week's travel away, and there are numerous bandits along the way. I'll go with you. Allow me." Prince Nathan said. "Brother, you've always been there for me since we were kids. I'm no longer a child. Allow me to walk on my own two feet like everyone else." "I trust you, William." Prince Nathan whispered. "What a sissy. I'm not going to die, Nathan, so it's too soon for you to celebrate. While I'm away, arrange the throne for me. That's the least you can do." Prince William smirked and walked out of the room. "Prepare my horse and other necessities, and I'll leave tomorrow before the sun rises." Prince William said to one of their servants. Is he really a villain or a hero in stealth mode? The truth is, Prince William doesn't wish to be king of their kingdom. He only wanted his royal father to acknowledge him. He wants to show that not only can Prince Nathan become king one day. He always competes with his brother to prove that he, too, can be trusted, but his father's chosen successor seemed to have already been decided. It is always Nathan. Nathan, his loving brother. That no matter how evil he shows he still sees the good in his younger brother’s heart. "Well, heroes save the world while forsaking what is most important, whilst villains will abandon the world just to save their loved ones." Prince William thought to himself as he checked his sword and other weaponry for his upcoming voyage. The dawn came, Prince William still hadn't gotten much sleep. He wonders what could happen to him on his perilous trek, but he is determined to prove everyone that he is capable of saving his mother. He got out of bed, dressed, and went to the pantry to get something to drink. He was sipping his booze when he heard someone. "Be careful on your journey, Prince William." Princess Amelie uttered. "Thank you, Princess. How about you? When will you travel back to your kingdom?" Prince William asked after he faced the lady. "Maybe tomorrow morning. Prince Nathan has already sent out an owl to our kingdom to immediately inform my parents." He was about to say something further when another person came in to interrupt his imbibing. "Have you found what you're looking for, Prin—" "Intruder." Prince William mumbled, casting a sidelong glance at his brother, who was stunned at the doorway. "Did I miss something?" Prince Nathan asked. "Yes, you better ask the Princess." Prince William grinned, glancing at the puzzled Princess as he stepped out the door. The moment has come for Prince William to put on his armor, grab his things, and ride his horse. Everyone in the castle gathered at the entrance to bid the prince goodbye. Hoping he'll return safely in a few weeks with the remedy for the queen's illness. "Warm up the throne for me," he said, evilly smirking to his older brother. He smiled pleasantly at the princess before whipping his horse, and bolted from the palace. To be continued. Yello! 💛 I'm just intrigued how the rebellious ones are more attractive than the good ones. Hahaha! Just kidding. Well, I believe that rebellious persons still have a pinch of good traits in their hearts. I'm a villain too, you know. Anyway, I'm happy to have you back here. Thank you for visiting. I'd appreciate it if you could leave a comment below. Let's catch up! xoxo. Keep safe you. Santé! The Tale of the Two Princes : Unshackled from the Forest | Part 4 "Take my soul" Prince Nathan answered. "Nathan!—" Princess Amelie exclaimed. "It's fine, my princess. I trust you. Do it, please." the prince said then he faced the old lady. The old lady smirked and start the incantation. *"To the power of life and power of death. Help this couple full of charm and wealth. To escape this enchanted yet forbidden forest. In exchange for the soul that will be mine, I guess..."* After the old lady said the incantation, a portal emerged right in front of their eyes. "That is the portal that will take you out of the forest. Your soul will be drawn to this bottle once you enter that gateway, young man." the old lady said. "We're going in. Thank you for helping us," He said this while holding the princess's hand and escorting her through the portal. In the blink of an eye, they found themselves outside the forest behind the palace where Prince Nathan lives. The two remained deafeningly quiet for a long time. They couldn't believe they'd made it out of the woods alive. "Shall we?" Prince Nathan said, breaking the silence. The princess nodded, and they walked through the castle holding hands. When the royal guards recognized Prince Nathan at the gate, they were flabbergasted. They let them in right away and informed the queen of the prince's arrival. "Prince Nathan! Where have you been? We thought you were dead; it's been two months since you vanished with no trace." The butler asked, puzzled. "I'll tell you everything later, but where are the king and queen? Why don't they seem to be present?" the prince asked. "I don't want to break the news to you, but it seems that I am the only one who can explain what happened in two months, your highness." the butler said. "W-What happened?" The prince was anxious about what the butler with whom he was talking might say. "Your father, the king, recently died, which caused your mother severe depression, thus she is laying sick on her bed, and doctors are constantly looking for a cure for your mother's condition." the butler explained. The prince's lips was silent for a moment. He just wept since he had never seen his father before his death and was now concerned about his mother's situation. He was in a depressed state, but Princess Amelie's hug made him feel lighter. "Oh. What I'm seeing right now reminds me of a theatrical performance every holidays, Prince Nathan." Prince William steps in. Prince Nathan glared at his brother as he let go of Princess Amelie's arms. "I reckon we have a visitor. Why don't you introduce me to the lovely lady in front of me, brother?" Prince William said as he gazed at the princess. "This is Princess Amelie of Maldonia. Princess Amelie, this is my brother, Prince William." Prince Nathan said, casually. "Pleasure to meet you, Princess." Prince William said, and the arrogant prince immediately kissed the princess's hand, which upset Prince Nathan. "Your Highnesses, The Queen—" They all rushed to the queen's bedroom before the doctor could finish his sentence. To be continued. Yello! 💛 I'm lost again. Hahaha! I've been quiet busy before and during Chinese New Year helping with our family's tradition, which is why I took the time to write and read here. Also, procrastination has always been competitive these past few days, but I am progressively addressing it. Please bear with me. Hehe. I'd want to thank you for taking the time to read this article of mine. I hope you have a good time with it. What are your thoughts on this? Tell me about it. xoxo.
