It's another beautiful Wednesday. And here at Patronage, it is the day of the week when we officially announce the nomination round of the next Patronage week and we expect users to honour our call and nominate the users they feel may appreciate the little support we have to offer. But before going into the Patronage nomination round proper, let's talk about other events.
Uncle's Burial. My uncle's burial is in two days, on June 25, in my hometown. I had plans of traveling home for the burial, but plans have changed. I got sick a few days ago - no thanks to the stress from work and of course the mosquitos. I'm currently on treatment, but I don't feel strong enough to make the 10 hours journey. I have made this known to them and have also sent some money to assist them with the burial arrangements. I wish to be there to support them, but I can't. May his soul rest in peace.
Football. My weekly gist won't be complete without a touch of my favorite sport - football. The group stage of the EURO 2020 cup competition has been concluded and we are heading to the knockout phase (Round of 16). The 16 teams that made it through the group stage have already know their next opponent. The first match of the knockout phase will come on Saturday, 26 June, with Wales clashing against Denmark at Johan Cruijff ArenA, Denmark. Then other matches will follow.

It's been just three days and I have already tipped 3 articles published by each beneficiary. That's to show how active they are on the platform and could do with some encouragement. How to Nominate Newbies?
Nominating users for beneficiaries of each Patronage week has always been simple. All you have to do is come up with the users you wish to nominate and mention their correct username in the comments section of this post, and you are done. The not so simple part is coming up with the right user to nominate. It's possible you don't know any new users on the platform. Not to worry, you can find them here or simply click on "First post" located above the first boosted post on the home screen.
Keep in mind that the users you'll nominate must not be new, you can also nominate older users who are finding it hard to gain Rusty's attention. I trust we can fish them out.
So find that user and mention his or her correct username in the comments section below. Above all, let's avoid nominating older users who are earning a good amount.
All Nominations end on Sunday and beneficiaries will be announced the same day.

We have had sixty-five (65) unique beneficiaries since the start of the Patronage initiative. I always share the list of previous beneficiaries in the weekly nomination round posts so we don't have to renominate them. We aim to have new users become the beneficiaries each week.
