Frustrated
Frustrated, the feeling of annoyance over something that you cannot fulfill pr achieve even if you think you've tried hard enough.
I have been feeling so frustrated lately because I have been receiving too low views in my Facebook page (Smiling Lens). I was looking for some possible reasons, maybe the algorithm, the time of posting or my interactions but still getting the same results.
I don't know if you have experienced it before and I would like to know how you handled it. Sometimes, this feeling is getting back if I cannot achieve my goals and that I felt lost and my focus is shaken. Especially when I see others who keeps on posting their achievements and all. Yeah, I got affected too even if I convince myself not to. But I'm only human and I could not help but to compare also.
But anyways, I keep going, there is no point of stopping what I had started. Maybe I am putting too much pressure on myself even when I know that I don't have control over it.
I should not forget my goal why I created a page and not something else. I should stand by it and continue what I love doing; that is sharing beautiful photos and to make someone smile.
Thanks to a timely post I read today:
*In yesterday's Bible verse, God is reminding us that we should not be anxious or stressed out in things that we cannot control. Rather, He is reminding us that we should pray and tell our Lord God Almighty everything that we want to tell Him just like how we share our life even our problems to our family and friends. We should also not forget to thank Him everyday in our prayer. Because in doing these things, we get to experience God's peace. Some of you may have experienced that kind of moment when all you did was to surrender everything to the Lord and then the heaviness that you are feeling in your heart becomes lighter. It is because we have experienced God's peace.*
This message somehow awaken me from my frustrated feeling. It pushed me hard that I realized I did not fulfill my everyday commitment.

The people, the words, the actions we encounter everyday is not just coincidence. They are there to remind us and help is get through what we feeling or going through at that moment.
Never ignore them.

Hi there noisemates!
Mother Nature sent us our early Valentine's gift, these starfish! It's Yuri's 1st time seeing their kind and she's a bit afraid and just wanted to take a photo of it. We did not only see one but four of them in different locations.
Yuri and I returned them along the shore, where water can reach them so they can eventually go home.
Oh, what a joy seeing such a pretty creature around.

Carabao ride (Pasagad)
My brother and his family came home to celebrate new year with us. He wanted her daughter to experience some of the things that he experienced when he was also a kid. So we went to the field before new year and tried the pasagad ride. The kids had so much fun and would not want to stop but the owner said the carabao needs to take a bath na🙂.

Sharing this beautiful piece made by my baby. It's a simple painting in a cardboard box but I just felt that it gives a special message to me for this year ahead. It struck me in a way and it gave me peace and calmness.
Maybe, 2023 is telling me to just let go and let God especially for those things or situations that I can no longer control.

A sweet new year treat for the kids, swimming at the beach!! They had so much fun this morning that my niece didn't want to go home yet but the clouds were getting darker and darker so they didn't have a choice but go home😁.

Sweet treat!
Yuri treat me and her daddy at Casa de Comida tonight. This is my reward for taking care of them when they got sick two days ago. She actually asked me yesterday if what would I want as a gift since I am the best nurse. I said, just a kiss and hug baby but she refused and insisted that I deserve a treat. And so tonight is the night and I am the happiest mother in the universe!!!

That's what happened earlier. I was thinking and wishing for a different and refreshing content to post in my reels then suddenly, this pretty butterfly came by. She stayed on top of these bottles for some minutes then flew away.

Baked Bangus
My brother's order yesterday for her girlfriend's Christmas party; 8pcs of it. My hubby saw and smelled it so he also asked me to cook something for us.
You want to try it too?
Here are the ingredients:
Milkfish 1 small/medium
Tomato 2 pcs (diced)
Onion 1 pc (diced)
Bell pepper 1 pc (diced)
Calamansi 1 pc (juiced)
Cheese 1/8 (grated)
Mayonnaise 1tsp (spread)
Salt and pepper to taste
Here's how:
Clean the fish.
Rub it calamansi juice.
Top it with the mixture of tomato, onion and bell pepper.
Set the oven 220°C for 25 mins.
After 20 mins, open the oven
Spread mayo and grate cheese on top
Close the open and wait until the timer stops.
Serve and enjoy!
For the love of family, photography and fb reels😁; this morning I cooked Ilocos longganisa for breakfast. For the presentation purposes, I don't have anything green in the fridge except this saluyot (jute) leaves so I put them as an accent.
Hubby joked that he thought we were having a samgy for breakfast 😁.
