Thank You read.cash and noise.cash for the Opportunity I want to buy a new phone. I don't mean a brand new one. Because I want the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G and I know it's pricey. So I search in Facebook Marketplace, hoping that someone is in need and selling their phones cheaper. I think about this for weeks and months before I finally made up my mind. I will give in to temptation. Just this one. I never buy myself or even let my husband buy me an expensive phone. I mean £250, that's it higher than that NO! I will not waste my hard-earned money or my husband's money for such even that's our money, even we have the money. That's ever since I was single and working. But I'm breaking it this time. I want a good phone with a good camera and I want Samsung S21 Ultra. Not iPhone. iPhones have a good camera but it's not for me. I'm used to Android phones. But you have to laugh at me as I want it badly I ask my husband if he can lend me money. I saw it on Mobile Phone Plan Deals and thought that's too dear and just 2GB? No way! So I talked to my husband. I just ask him to lend me money as I don't want to touch my crypto holdings. Then I'm going to pay him weekly for 8 weeks. 2 months not 3 years lol. I'm so confident that I have the money to pay. Thank you Bitcoin Cash, you give me the confidence! Why do I borrow from my husband and not just ask him to buy me a phone? *Because I don't do that. I love to buy my own. And that includes my stuff. I like that I have my own money. And I have money. I'm used to spending my own money and it makes me happy.* My husband is laughing as we're on earth will I get the money to pay him. He knows that I'm writing but he didn't know how much I earn. And the thing is I have a weekly salary. I call it salary but he hates it when I call it that way as if I'm a worker. But I love it because I feel like I have a job being a full-time mom and getting paid. I'm getting £50 weekly for myself. Isn't that cool? Lol. So he's asking if I'm going to pay him the money that is for me? And I told him I'm sorting it out myself. And here comes my search in Facebook Marketplace. He told me to go to the proper shop but I said, no it's dear in there. I'm good at looking for bargains. I will find a cheap one. And long before I saw a posting but it's from Scotland and it's cheap for £600! Like half the price, it looks a good deal to me. So I message the seller. And agreed to pay and he will post it after. So I send him the payment right away. The problem is it wasn't instant on his end. He said he hasn't received it yet. And I started to panic. And hoping I wasn't conned. And he said he's going to wait for the payment to get through before he goes to the post office to send the phone. I was paranoid after. I was waiting for an hour and told me he still not receive it. So I phone his bank which is not a bank that I know of. And the customer service confirms that transactions take a couple of hours before it goes through. Which is the same as the seller told me. The seller asked me if I can phone my bank and if I can cancel the transaction, he will give me another bank account. Well, I should listen when the husband said that I should make sure to pay by PayPal but I didn't pay attention. I phone my bank and ask regarding the payment and if I can cancel it and also discuss with her regarding the transaction, that I buy the phone online and that I pay it and he didn't receive it. She said that the transaction is already successful and cannot be cancelled/refunded. And so I said okay to that. But I was really worried at that time. I just want to cancel it and get my money back. I told the seller about that and said we just have to wait. He's so calm and I don't feel like he's a scam but waiting for it doesn't give me good vibes. That's when my husband's phone rang and it's the bank. She calls regarding this transaction and how could it be possibly a scam, as it's not a personal bank. I don't know how they were able to do that but they cancel the transaction and I was able to breathe. **Beware of scams in Facebook Marketplace. If it's too good to be true, don't get fooled just to save. I almost lost my husband's £600!** My husband said if I want to stick in Facebook then get the one near that we can meet and pay and get the phone in person. And he did it himself. That night, we went to meet the Facebook seller whom I thought old. And hand them the money after checking the phones which is basically like new. I was so happy. I got a new phone yipee! Happy First of August! July has been good to me. Bitcoin Cash Platform has been so generous to me and I was able to earn .63 BCH! Thank you read.cash and noise.cash! I earn as much here and share it in small ways. That $60 is part of my earnings so I made at least $200 in read.cash and $200 in noise.cash! That's huge! And because of this, because of Bitcoin Cash I want to pay back my husband for my phone! I want to surprise him that I'm not getting the money from my *"salary"*. 😅 So I have to use my earnings for July and August and my money here to pay off my debt. Which are my proud moments! I just want to brag that all of this(sorry not the Chromebook and headset) comes from my earnings and when the BCH reached its ATH I treat myself to that Galaxy Smart Watch! Promise! It feels good to see and spend your hard-earned money on things that would make you happy. And this phone I can use to capture beautiful places that I go to that my old phone (Oppo) can't justify. Do you want to see some? Meet Thumper, our Dutch Rabbit. Isn't he just gorgeous? But let's go back to the payment. So today I withdraw my July earnings to pay my husband. And because I cannot withdraw through Binance straight to my account. I use Coinbase and send it to my PayPal to my account and voila! I laugh when I told my husband, "Where's my salary Darling so I can pay you?" He laughs so hard. He's being con by me. And so he gives me my money and he was surprised when I'm handing him the £300 money back. And you know what? *He didn't get it! And told me to hold on to my money so I can buy things that I want and that he buy the phone for me not lend me money.* 😁 Aww, that's sweet! I'm so thankful I have a loving and sweet husband. And I'm grateful to be in this platform. So many thanks to read.cash and noise.cash. Thank you, Sir Simon and Sir Marc! Yous gave us this opportunity. We are thankful beyond words. Thank you for reading.

When He Passed Away Today we visit Dad (my father-in-law) in the graveyard. We tidy up his gravestone, pull some weeds and grass. We throw some of the old flowers and pots. We will get new flowers for him. I missed this man so much. You know, when I first came here to Northern Ireland from the Philippines, I don't know what to expect. Being a foreigner here made me worried about what my life would be or how will I cope up but I take the chance, left work and fly to Northern Ireland with my daughter and soon after my son. And how grateful I am to meet nice and kind people. My in-laws treat me well just like how they treat other people. They were the nicest. Dad loves gardening. He just loves moving about. He and Mum will wake up at 7:30 in the morning every day. And every morning Dad will shave and make sure he is neat looking. He used to cut the hedge and me and Mum do the cleaning up in the lane and that makes things faster. Tia when she was young always with Dad in the garden planting and watering the plants. She's a Lolo's girl. And every day at 10:00 am I will be shouting to Dad, "Dad tea time!" and he will reply, "Right!" with a big smile and thumbs up! They were constantly on their feet. You will not see them in bed unless it's half 11 then it's bed time. They always out doing something. Dad, even he had strokes didn't stop him from living life. Even his hands are shaking terribly, you will never hear him complaining. He will ask for help if he needs it. And every occasion he makes sure we get something. He is full of humour and easy to please. Whatever Mum cooks, he will eat. And he loves dessert! Then one day he was working in the shed using the circular saw and cut his fingernails. We even thought he cut the finger as it's too bloody. But he cut the whole top of the fingernail. He was treated and went home but he was bad the next week and we took him to the hospital. We were in hospital almost every day when he was there. He's always excited to see Tia and tell the nurses that this is his "Ba". And as we go to the hospital the next time they said the dreadful news of Dad got cancer and will not live for too long. That's in September 2018. We all cried after knowing that and how are we meant to tell Mum and knowing how she will feel about it. But we accept it as Dad tells us not to cry. We look after Dad despite having carers coming to the house. I learned to use the shaver and razor because he can't shave anymore. And I love to give him a manicure and pedicure. He has lovely legs like a woman. Mum always says too. Dad used to tell me, I will be a good nurse or carer. He is very sweet and loving. ***25 December 2018*** Everyone is excited, it's Christmas. We are looking forward to opening our gifts and see what we got. Mum and Dad are excited to see Tia, as to which gifts she will go to first. And we make our bet. ***Early morning of 25th*** The carers arrived to check out Dad. He was diagnosed with cancer but he doesn't seem to have one. Dad wasn't feeling well and told the carer he will have a lie on and stay in the bed in the meantime. Mum gave them a box of sweets each and greeted Merry Christmas. Then Dad asks Mum if Tia is awake. Dad gathered up his strength and told Mum to help him get up and change. He should be ready for her "ba". Then I came and help Dad. Dad keeps asking about Tia. It was past 11 and Dad said to get her up. And so Tia came to the door and when she saw all the gifts her eyes went big. And which one does she go first? The tellytuby on the pram. Dad guess it right! We open our gifts. Dad was very happy when he got our gift which he always complains that he is cold. This will keep him warm. I remember the exact word he says, "This is the best gift I've got, this will keep me warm." Mum got a grandfather's clock. She was crying coz she loves clocks and always wanted a grandfather clock. Then I took photos of everyone and told Dad to smile, and Dad said "I cannot smile." And that's when we noticed the change in his face. Dad said he is hungry so I run to the fridge and got him yoghurt and as I gave a spoon in his mouth his tongue-twisting and was not able to eat the yoghurt. I told my husband to phone for an ambulance. Dad's having a bad turn. He looks as if he's having a stroke. The ambulance came and ask too many questions when dad is not in good condition. When they took Dad in the ambulance Tia cried. And that's the last time she saw Dad alive. ***Christmas Dinner*** It's only me and Mum at the table. Tears falling in her eyes. She's shaking. I hold her hand. I hug her tight. I wasn't able to say a word. Mum said, he didn't even have his Christmas dinner. We didn't eat together. That night we receive a call from the hospital. We have to go to the hospital because Dad is deteriorating. I didn't know that that's the word they say if they want to tell you that the patient is dying. It's too late when the brothers went to the hospital. Dad is already dead. After the funeral Mum, sort Dads things and send them to the charity shops. All the clothes and shoes, old and new. Nothing was left. Mum cut the trees in the garden. All the apple and pear and the maple tree. Mum never want to show when she's sad and crying. Mum said Dad told him when he dies Mum shouldn't be crying. Mum said she's glad that we were here. That Tia was here. She can bear losing Dad because Tia put a smile on her face. Now, every time I see an ambulance it reminds me of Dad and him not coming back after the ambulance took him. I don't like to see an ambulance again. And Tia still talks about him up to this day. She never forgets him. One day we are in the car and Tia said, are we going to the hospital to visit Lolo? Are we going to bring him home coz I missed him so much? She keeps asking when he's coming back. And we cry every time she cries for her Lolo. And today, Mum had a bad turn. We have to phone the ambulance as we cannot just watch Mum suffer. When they took Mum, Tia said, "Bring back my Lola, please. You took my Lolo and he never comes back." Hearing that makes us all sad. She still remembers. She never forgets. **Dad left a hole in our hearts but he filled our memories with smiles, laughs and love.** Thank you for reading.

My Lutang Moments **Have you ever done or say something crazy while your mind is afloat, as if you're physically present but mentally absent? Especially when you are tired, lack sleep or are preoccupied with things and you don't pay attention to words, things and people around you? That we called in the Philippines,'Lutang Moments!'** I know we all have our lutang moments and we laugh hard when we remember such events. And let me share mine as these are the ones I will never forget! The hotel key card isn't working This happened at The Garcia Resort, which is the hotel we stayed in in Turkey. So we eat out that night and went to Amusement Park we're the kids enjoy the rides and games, spend a lot to top up the card and buy tokens to keep them happy. As usual, I'm the runner so I got tired and ask the husband if I and Tia can go back to the hotel as I need sleep. The husband says yes if I insist and get us in the taxi. So we were in the hotel, we walk to our room, grab the key card and the door won't open. I keep trying and trying and it's not working! So I and Tia went on to the reception area told the staff that my key card isn't working. I'm a little sound unhappy because I go home to rest and then all of a sudden I can't get in our room. She asks for the card and so I give it to her. She smiled at me and said, "**It's not going to work as it is the amusement park's top-up card!"** Oh sh*t I wish to disappear! Of course, it's not going to work. 🤣🤣🤣 Love you na po! This happened in the Philippines, I did overtime at work and went home late. I was messaging my husband and when I was about to get off the jeepney (public transportation) I shouted at the driver, "Love you na po!" when I want to say is "Para na po!" The driver shouted back, "Agad agad?!" 🤣🤣🤣 Everyone is looking at me, laughing. 😂 Daisy So the first lockdown during the pandemic, I make myself busy painting all the gates and window sills in the house. And since we're on the lane I see everyone walking with their dogs. We exchange our hi's and hello. And there's one specific woman that loves to talk to me and to Tia too. Tia even told her that she wants a dog too but she wants a pink one! I don't know her but I know the name of the dog, Daisy you call her. One day after our groceries shopping heading home, and while I'm staring blankly at the window of our car, my husband told me, there's your friend and so I wave at her and shouted, "**Hello Daisy**!" Then I realized Daisy is the dog lol. 😂 I took off my underwear This happened in Turkey in September last year. So we went out shopping and went to a bar after. I'm exhausted because of the long walks and standing while negotiating with stuff we bought and since the massage spa is just in the corner, I told my husband that I'm getting a massage. The bar has an area for kids so Tia and Jigz are playing with Chloe so it's okay for me to go for an hour. At the spa, since I had already been there on our first day, they knew me already. They have the best Turkish Bath and I had a very good massage. But since it's late I don't know who's in. So I went inside and just tell the owner, a very nice man, Duran, that I want a 1-hour massage and ask me something but since my head is away so I just nod my head and say yes. So he told me I can go and change. I know already what to do. I went to the locker/changing room. Take my clothes off and wrap a towel around me. I put all my belongings in the locker and get the key. I went to the massage room and lay down comfortably, waiting for the masseuse. I hope it's the same woman because she's the best I've ever had. As I lay down there, the masseur came in! It's a man. Although I know him as he did the Turkish Bath for my husband and son. And you know what? *As he was about to begin I realized that I have no underwear on!* And how did I do that, I didn't know? I hurriedly get up and run to the locker room but I forgot the key so I go back to the massage room and say sorry while getting the key. 🤣 And there I put my knickers on. For goodness sake, he might be thinking I'm up to something lol. And so I came back with my undies on telling I just message the husband. 😅 And lol, I ask for a massage but I was surprised I got a sensual massage hahaha. 🤣 *And there you go, I can't remember the rest of my crazy stuff. But I hope that made you smile.* *This is just for fun as I read* @OfficialGamboaLikeUs *short post on making an article regarding this topic. And so here you go.* Thank you for reading.

Shingles and Ramsay Hunt Syndrome Update **I admire my mother-in-law. From sorehead and rashes that turn out to be Shingles with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome my mother-in-law still generally unwell but she is full of positivity.** It's more than a week now since she was brought to the hospital and diagnosed with Shingles and Ramsay Hunt Syndrome. It's the last day of her treatment today. I prepared her medicine every day and made sure she takes it on time. https://read.cash/@tired_momma/hyponatremia-shingles-and-ramsay-hunt-syndrome-09968ab1 **Her treatment includes:** 66 Prednisolone (Steroids) 8 Lansoprazole 31 Aciclovir **This treatment is for 8 days. For the rashes, I apply white vinegar, milk and olive oil to help them dries up. I got that from Dra Farrah Bunch. I also bought her Vitamin C to boost her immune system.** As of now. *The rashes are drying up, though the pain and sleepless night are still present. Mum is not well since she had these Shingles. And there are not many changes aside from the rashes drying up after taking medicines. So we are hoping in the coming days her health will improve.* This is serious so please if you have parents or grandparents let them get Shingles Vaccine. This is dreadful for the elderly to get through this kind of infection since it targets old people with a low immune system. What happens to Mum since she got these Shingles with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome? She hasn't watch tv ever since. She just sits on her chair. She doesn't converse as she used to unless you ask her. She can't even comb her hair, it's sore. Good thing she only has short hair. She can't put on her shoes by herself, she has to wait for me to do it. She cannot go out or walk in the garden because she's not well. She can't sleep at night because her head not letting her. So we let her doze off at her chair during the daytime. Sometimes she cries, she's so upset because she never had anything wrong with her before this. She is healthy all her life. Even my late father-in-law used to tell her that she will be living in her hundreds. And her previous Doctor told her that she's the healthiest in Comber, not a murmur in her heart. That's why she doesn't understand why she has this. She keeps asking me. And the pain she's going through, it breaks our heart. I miss her humour! She's full of fun! She doesn't like taking 18 tablets a day. She can't even swallow the medicine if it's not capsules. She hates the taste of it but still, she's taking it because she wants to get back to normal. She wants to feel good again. She had enough of the pain but she will stick to it. But. ***Mum always says,*** ***"I'll be better tomorrow. I will try to stick the pain. Don't worry I'll be back to normal."*** And never she will lie down in bed if it's not her bedtime. She gets up early like she used to. I make sure she eats well. I keep pushing for more and make her drink plenty. I keep telling jokes to her and playing "Bricklayer's Song". That's our favourite song to have a good laugh at. Tia keeps asking her if she's feeling better now. And remind Lola that she has to take her medicine to make her feel better. And she keeps singing a new song or showcase her new dance move to make Lola smile. Ahh, we try our best to support Mum and it's so much easier because despite the pain she is very optimistic that she will get better and that she will get back to her feet again. Shingles and Ramsay Hunt Syndrome is no joke. Please look after the elderly in your family. Get the Shingle Vaccine. If they have the symptoms within 48 hours take them to the hospital for the doctor to give better treatment and for faster recovery. I wish we took her earlier so she got the treatment earlier. Please learn that lesson and don't waste time. I think the worst part is when she can't kiss her grandchildren and the kids especially Tia are not allowed to kiss her. She doesn't even want them near her in case they catch something from her especially Tia since she never had chickenpox before. I missed these kisses but for now, they do flying kisses. She will get better soon. Her health will be back again and she can get back on her feet and go to the beach with us. Thank you for reading.

An Evening at Millisle Beach Park and Portavogie Harbour ***21 July 2021*** It's a glorious day. The sun is shining brightly in the sky. It's been like this for days and yes we are enjoying it! It's 29° today and it feels like we're on a holiday just missing the food and drinks and most especially the beach. So I told to my husband we have to go to the beach to make the most of this brilliant weather. It's too hot for Mum to go so we plan to go in the evening. We're ready to go at half 6. The kids are very excited and already plan on swimming. But Mum change her mind and just want to stay in the house. We don't want to go without her but Mum insist we have to take the kids out. She said she wants to sleep, so off we go. Millisle Beach Park This park has a sandy beach, picnic facilities and a children playground. The playground has interactive equipment even for exercising. It has car parking and public toilets with disabled access. The Playground What I love about this specific place is that they have the beach, the ice cream shop and the playground. Everything I need for the kids so they can't tell me that they are bored. They jump out of the car as soon as we stop. They can't just wait to go in the water. As usual many flocks to the beach in weather like this. And off they just run to the water. This is the first time that they are going to swim on the beach because even the sun is out in here, the water is freezing but today it's nice enough to get soaked. After they had enough in the water, they went back to the jeep and ask daddy for ice cream. Of course, you don't just go to the beach to swim, you have to eat ice cream too! This is Tia's favourite part. I think she only comes here for the ice cream! 🤣 Ah, look at that big smile. It must be really good! She really can buy and sell you. And Mommy will have the same, a lotus cheesecake and hot chocolate because Daddy already eat ice cream while we are all in the water. And after they finish their ice cream, they run to the park and play. Jigz meets boys and he played football with them. Tia enjoying herself playing. She just jumping around, climbing and just having a good time. This is really a great place. The park is big enough for kids to play in. There's also a play area for younger ones. And it's time to go home. And that's the time they will say "5 more minutes!" And as I thought we are heading home, the husband took us to, Ballyhalbert and ended up in Portavogie Harbour. Portavogie Harbour *Portavogie is one of the main fishing ports in the province and home to a large active fleet of traditional fishing boats. Portavogie is the second largest fishing village in Northern Ireland with nearby Kilkeel being the largest. This town is famous for its herrings and prawns. This is a seafood lover's paradise.* Aside from the seagulls, you can see their resident seals in the harbour because they can have good treats in this place. It's just that my phone camera is not good enough to capture such. We see 4 seals and the kids are delighted to see them for the first time. Fishing Fleets at Portavogie Harbour We watch as the boat unload all their catch in the fishing hub just beside the harbour. And I think from here it goes to seafood processing plants and they say they do auctions as well. You have to bid for the seafood! That's for wholesalers of course. Also at the side of the harbour, you will see this **Portavogie Memorial** for its fishermen who lost or died at the sea. And that's our day in the harbour end. It's getting late. We head home and I excitedly cook the clams that we bought! **And we have a lovely day! I wonder how was yours? What did you do today?** Thank you for reading.

Hyponatremia, Shingles and Ramsay Hunt Syndrome My mother-in-law who is 88 years old was complaining that her head down to her neck was painful. We also notice some rashes on one side of her face, ear and neck. It happened during the weekend and Bank Holiday Monday was approaching so we have to wait for Tuesday to phone the doctor. We told Mum that we're going to take her to the hospital so they can get it check. She wasn't able to sleep at night and she was pretty upset. She said maybe she will be okay tomorrow. She doesn't want to go to the hospital and keep saying "she's old, the hospital wouldn't want her there". Tuesday. The Doctor phones back after we book for an appointment and gave Mum a prescription that didn't help her to at least deal with pain. It's not helpful if you're only talking to the doctor over the phone because some people don't know what to say and how to explain what they are going through. But still, because of covid around, you can't just see your doctor and even booking for appointment to talk to the GP is challenging. This Mum's case must be seen not heard. The next day, she feels worst and started crying. She doesn't feel good at all, didn't sleep for 4 nights. We tried our best to persuade her to go to the hospital. She said no at first but say yes after. It took 7 hours of waiting before Mum was able to see the doctor in the emergency department. The doctor was very good and very nice. Before she did anything she asks Mum questions: regarding the pain like on a scale of 1-10 and 10 is the highest, how painful it is? How long is this going on? Did she have this before? Some questions I have to meddle when I know Mum didn't say the correct answer as I know she forgets some things. After asking her important questions, she checks Mums coordination skills first: her eyes, arms and legs. Then check her rashes from her head down to her back. She also checked the inside of her mouth and ears. Then she said, "It looks like Shingles to me." So she wants to run a CT Scan to make sure that there's no rash on the inside of her ears as she wasn't able to have a good look at it as Mum said that it's painful whenever she put her device on her ears. For another hour we wait for her to get the scan. The doctor also said she has to discuss it with other specialists for her eyes and ears. Had the scan and while waiting for the result the doctor takes Mum inside to check her eyes further using the Snellen Chart. The CT Scan came out fine, everything is good but the blood test shows that her sodium just like the last time that she was hospitalized drops again, which in medical terms is called **Hyponatremia.** So here's the doctor's diagnosis: **Hyponatremia** **Shingles with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome** Hyponatremia or low blood sodium This is a condition wherein you don't have enough sodium in your blood. We need some sodium in our bloodstream to control how much water is in and around the cells in our body Symptoms Hyponatremia signs and symptoms may include: Muscle weakness, spasms or cramps Nausea and vomiting Headache Confusion Loss of energy, drowsiness and fatigue Restlessness and irritability So Mum lately don't have much power in her. She gets tired easily just by standing for few minutes. And at night she had cramps and her head is always light. Shingles **Shingle is an infection caused by the same virus that causes chickenpox** and it's most common in older people, though everyone can get it. The first symptoms of shingles can be: painful or tingling feeling in the area of skin, blotchy rash on 1 side of the body sorehead or feeling generally unwell. *You must go to the doctor within 48 hours that the symptoms started because the doctor said they can give medicine within that time frame that can help speed up the recovery which cannot be given in Mum's case as it is more than 2 days.* How long Shingle Lasts The doctor says it can take up to 4 weeks for the rash to heal and the skin can still be painful for weeks even after the rash has gone but eventually gets better in time. Is Shingle Contagious? **The doctor said it's NOT contagious**. You cannot pass your shingles to others but those who have not had chickenpox before could catch chickenpox from you. When people get chickenpox, that virus remains in our body. Then it can be reactivated later and cause shingles especially if their immune system is low. Ramsay Hunt Syndrome Photo Credit https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/ramsay-hunt-syndrome/symptoms-causes/syc-20351783 **Ramsay Hunt syndrome (RHS) is a peripheral facial nerve palsy accompanied by an erythematous vesicular rash on the ear or in the mouth. Ear abnormalities such as tinnitus or ringing in the ear and loss of hearing are also present.** This syndrome happens when shingles affect the nerves in the face close to either one of the ears. It is a condition caused by a virus called herpes zoster oticus. Chickenpox which is common in children is caused by a general varicella-zoster virus. The virus reactivates and causes shingles if you've had chickenpox in your life. *Both shingles and chickenpox are most recognizable by a rash that appears in the affected area of the body. Unlike chickenpox, a shingles rash near the facial nerves by your ears can cause other complications, including facial paralysis and ear pain. When this happens, it’s called Ramsay Hunt syndrome.* *If you get a rash on your face and also start noticing symptoms such as facial muscle weakness, see your doctor as soon as you can. Early treatment can help make sure you don’t experience any complications from Ramsay Hunt syndrome.* How long Ramsay Hunt Syndrome Last You will get better completely within a few weeks if there's not much damage to your nerve. And you may not fully recover if the damage is more severe. That is why it's very important to see the doctor immediately if you have the symptoms and get treatment within 3 days for your chance of recovery is better. Source: https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/ramsay-hunt-syndrome/symptoms-causes/syc-20351783 Mum was admitted to the hospital. After 25 hours she was discharged and given prescriptions which she has to take for a week. She was prescribed steroids, Aciclovir and Lansoprazole on top of her other medications. It's her 3rd day of treatment and she is still sore and generally unwell. If you're in the UK make sure that you get the Shingle Vaccine. Shingle vaccine is available for the '70s and over. It's just that Mum didn't know about it. For those in other countries and worried for your beloved elders do check your local health centre or ask your doctor regarding the vaccine for shingles to make sure they don't get through this horrible experience. It's really that painful and especially for old people. **Remember** **If you know someone experiencing the symptoms, let them see the doctor immediately. The early treatment you get, the chance of recovery is better and to avoid further complications.** Thank you for reading!

My Day: My Son's 11th Birthday **My son and I had been through thick and thin in life. No one will ever know how strong we are and how we had escape hell. But one thing is for sure, we are happy now and blessed with a beautiful family. And that is what matters.** I was so excited for his big day. We are excited to prepare and getting him a present. We want to give him what he's wishing for, a scooter! He is always complaining his one is too small and I don't understand it because I thought scooters are all just the same. So I told my husband we can check in Halfords. And as we saw all the scooters, we're clueless on what's the difference. We ask the staff but it seems he's not very knowledgeable about the scooters either. So we decided that we're going to just take Jigz here on his birthday and let him choose what he wants. But I was too eager to get a present so I show that picture to him and pointed to me what he wants. And there we got it on the next day! But Jigz didn't know. And we got him a helmet and elbow/knee pad as he always goes to the skate park and coming home with a small injury. So I told him he must wear it all the time he's playing in the skate park. Happy Birthday, Jigz! 🎉 ***July 16, 2021*** Last night I tried to do this around 3 am as we took my mother-in-law to the hospital and just back at that time. It was so sudden that I wasn't able to do much decoration. My body gave up and had a lie-down and today when I wake up, I heard Jigz was screaming. He's so happy with what he saw! And started opening gifts. And I started cooking! Because I want to take him out to the cinema he and Tia to watch Space Jam because that's what he wants to do. But unfortunately, we're waiting for the hospital to call for Mum can be discharged anytime. So we have to go to the cinema tomorrow and he's okay with it as he is excited to go to the skate park with his new scooter. And aside from that, he received a skateboard and RC Helicopter from his uncle. Here's what I made! A Filipino Food Birthday Dishes! This is what you normally would see at a birthday party in the Philippines. Spaghetti (sweet) Fried Chicken (all-time favourite) Shanghai Rolls (favourite "pabalot/take-away") Leche Flan Fruit Salad Cake (Maltesers Cake so everyone can eat it!) Cupcakes (if the cake isn't enough) It took me 3 hours to cook it all. And guess what it's only for us! 🤣 Look at my two happy kiddos! But Mum wasn't home yet. We're not complete. We feel bad that she is in the hospital. And Mum is not happy that she will miss Jigz' birthday. Jigz doesn't want to blow his cake without her granny. And Mum wants to go home to be with the kids. Finally, we got Mum before nighttime. She was so happy to be discharged from the hospital and can't wait to go home. And what a lovely reunion even Mum was only away for 25 hours. And the candle is finally blown. Happy Birthday, Jigz! 🎉 ***~From your family who loves you loads.***

I Earned $1214.99 + in BCH in 10 Months Just by Writing ***My first cents in read.cash Im so happy and I'm thankful. I believe then that it was real. Then I earn $1214.99 in 10 months! And I'm grateful beyond words and it feels unreal.*** It feels like yesterday since I joined this amazing platform. We are just back from our holiday in Turkey in September 2020 and the kids will be going to school. So I thought of myself since I have some me-time I want to look for somewhere I can share our travels and make money while being a full-time Mom. Because I missed working. I missed making my own money. And glad I came across an article, where I can blog about anything and make money, of all the different sites the author shared, I sign up to read.cash and that's one of the best decisions ever. I wished I knew who posted it or who I'm affiliated with. I would be pleased to know! It's my 10 months today in read.cash and I just can't believe I came this far! 🎉 How it all started? I started humbly. I started with **0** subscribers just like anyone here and as you can see below after 5 days, I'm blessed with **1 awesome subscriber**! And I made a whopping **$0.82 in 5 days**! **No sponsors** yet! And to tell you the truth, what you can earn now in tips from the bot is worth more than we had when I started. I barely make a dollar before And if we receive or give a $.01 tip that's already huge. And we appreciate it. That tips, comments, interactions from another user really a big boost and the main reason I didn't stop even the time I didn't get any huge tips and almost give up. Thank you all. So those that complain that they get any tip or they get too small, we've been there and I know how frustrating not to receive tips but we didn't stop just because we didn't receive tips. We keep on writing and we keep on learning. If you want some inspiration read my old article: https://read.cash/@tired_momma/facts-activity-bonus-update-and-tips-5c9c46d9 Tipping System **Points System** When I started, this platform was still using the point system where users must interact to gain more points, the longer the articles and the comments, the higher the points. The higher the points, the bigger you earn. **Activity Bonus** I was so thrilled when I first received this notification! And I thought everyone has this and I felt bad that it's really not for everyone and the reason was revealed in noise.cash. **I wasn't earning much in my article and this gave me the opportunity to earn more. Like I can stay awake day and night and work for this. I earned** ****$164.41**** **in 1 month with this Activity Bonus. And was sad when it ended but grateful that I made huge money from it.** My 10 Months Journey 1st Month ($9.72) I started 14th of September 2020. And on my first month, I was so excited and so happy that I made $9.72. Believe me or not but the first cents I got I was already jumping out of happiness as if I earned my first million. I wrote 10 articles in my first month. 2nd Month ($103.38) I wrote 19 articles. 3rd Month ($109.64) I wrote 19 articles. 4th Month ($84.37) I wrote 14 articles. 5th Month ($99.5) I wrote 14 articles. 6th Month ($37.15) This is the start that I lose in the track. The school was closed and they started homeschooling. I don't have much time to spare to write an article. I have two kids to teach and to do homework with. It wasn't easy but I glad I didn't stop. I wrote JUST 6 articles this month. 7th Month ($24.69) Like 4 articles in this month. I felt really bad at this time. I don't know how to get back on my account. 8th Month ($100.66) I wrote 8 articles. 9th Month ($179.91) I wrote 9 articles. 10th Month ($301.56) 17 articles and this time I asked the platform for help and it was amazing the money I raised for my Aunt Rose. ****LISTEN:**** Rusty will get back to your articles. Don't worry if you don't get a tip right after you write an article the bot will come and reward it that's for sure. You may have to wait for months but surely it will be rewarded. Trust me. Just keep writing good quality articles and money will follow. My Achievements Total Earnings in 10 Months: **$1214.99 + 🤩🤩🤩** Total Articles Published in 10 months: ****120 Articles 📝 📝 📝**** **I've got 519 subscribers now 🎉** **I've got 10 generous sponsors! Every month I gave my sister Php1750 so in December I can give Php20,000 to my parents. All from my Bitcoin cash earnings.** **I shared before about Bitcoin to my family and that they should hold some and after knowing Bitcoin Cash I told them to forget Bitcoin just hold Bitcoin Cash as it has lower fees than Bitcoin.** **I have 4 Affiliates. I hope I can make it grow in numbers. People who will fall in love with Bitcoin Cash just like me.** **Because of Bitcoin Cash I able to treat myself a smartwatch!** **I'm into Crypto since 2016**. I only knew Bitcoin before knowing the ****Real**** ****Bitcoin****. I learned **Bitcoin Cash** and it change my perception of cryptocurrency. I used to complain about the Bitcoin's high transaction fee. I lost too much money just by paying the fee. Bitcoin Cash help me greatly as my mode of remittance. I used to go to Post Office and send money to my family in the Philippines with Money Gram and pay £9.90 per transaction. Now I just send Bitcoin Cash to my sister to her Coins.ph account and she can cash out the money instantly and I JUST HAVE TO PAY A SMALL FEE OF .001 BCH! A fraction of a dollar compared to $9.90! This is Me **It's great to know other people but it's not getting any better to know yourself first. Exploring who you are and being into You. Do you know yourself better than anyone else? If not, start your journey!** I took up a course of Bachelor of Science in Psychology. On my first day in college, I remember being asked, why do you choose this course? Like everyone else says because there's not much Math on it while I say it's because I want to understand people better. **I want to understand the people around me and I want to understand myself.** I'm always curious about human nature. Why we are all not the same. Why my Mama always shouting and cursing? How my Papa able to stand my Mama's negativity? Why I'm emotional, a teary girl ever since? Why I got scared so easily? Why do people love to gossip and full of insecurities? Some questions I have to answer myself when I was young. Hello everybody, Jocelyn here though you only know me as tired_momma of ReadCash! **Who am I? Let me share me with you.** Hahaha. Let me start this with a good laugh as **I'm hilarious**. I have a lot of smiles to give and always want people around me happy as possible. No dull moments with me, **I'm very talkative**, I talk a lot, sometimes I don't shut up. But I'm not a nagger don't get me wrong. **I'm sociable and very friendly**, easy to get along with. I'm spontaneous and fun. I can't stand people silence. But I do understand if that's just how they are but most of my friends are just like me. And my family, my brothers and sisters we're full of beans and we all can talk. Lol **I'm an independent woman**. I work hard. I pay my own bills. I spend my own money. I want to have my own money even I'm married. My stability doesn't depend on anyone. As much as possible I love to depend on myself. But I'm married I have my husband I can count on. It is in my nature to be optimistic. **My optimism is boundless**. I will always see the good things, the good side and if I don't then I let it be, especially of things I cannot control. **I'm fair-minded and honest. I'm open-minded, I'm confident. I will change my destiny if I believe I don't belong there. I'm obsessed with self-improvement. I always question myself and appreciate every effort I make.** I believe in promises. **I trust words**. If you promised me something, I will hold on to it. I will believe that you will not break your words. I trust easily that when you break that trust, there's no way I can believe you again. You have to work hard to regain my trust. And if I gave you a second chance and didn't make it count, you lost me completely. **I love my freedom. I'm an explorer. Im a fearless adventurer. I don't play things safe, I gamble, I take a leap of faith. And I don't look back regretting things.** I'm an ultimate empiricist. I'm a very nice human being but I can be bad too. **I do fight back if I have to**. I can be mean and rude if I allow my feelings to surface more than my principle. I always hold my tongue but if I let it go then I must be pushed to my boundaries. **I'm a very jealous woman**, that's in my nature too. I'm very protective of what's mine. Because I always give my all. I don't love half, it's always full and even more. I give my heart wholeheartedly and if I gave up on that love, that love is gone forever. **I don’t like to be told what to do**. I don't like to be told what to do because I know what to do. I hate it. I know when to ask for advice and when to ask for help. **I can be impulsive.** I'm impulsive in what I do and what I say. Sometimes I'm tactless and thoughtless. **I'm very impatient** and that can cause me to do things that I know are likely to have negative consequences, but I don't care.  Did school teach me what's my personality? What's human nature, and how to deal with it? The answer is partly yes and more on no. It's not the school that will make you understand yourself, things and people but your own experiences in life. I learn life with the mistakes I've made. I fall in love with life after I died inside. I learn to get back up every time I fall. And that made me who I am. My nature was hone not of my stars but the decisions I choose. ***This is my nature. This is me.*** **And you what is your nature?** Thank you for reading. Thank you @JonicaBradley for this writing prompt that I'm able to join in. You too can write about nature or your nature. My Sunday Full of Cooking and Listening to Old Good Song **Days passed so quickly when it's a holiday for the kids but never to me.** As a Mom, cooking is part of the job description I'm responsible to meet after being qualified. And every day seems like in '*Who Wants to be a Millionaire*' and consistently being asked this question, "*What are you going to cook for today?*" That question I have to live by every day. And it's not easy when you cannot get help from the people you're going to feed aside from "Up to you or surprise us!" I thought Im only a mom I didn't think I have to have the magician hat to pull out such a surprise. Surprise everyone, we're on diet today! Some days I want to tell them that. So today is Sunday and what is it I'm making? Let's have some adobo! So I got a pork belly strip and I will mix some chops as I have a very awkward family. I love a wee bit of fat but my husband doesn't. So we're going to meet halfway. The secret of a deliciously good Adobo is the marinade. My father taught me that. He is a very good cook. Marinate the pork or chicken or any meat overnight in soy sauce, garlic and pepper. If you are in a hurry and cannot marinate it for long, you just have to cook it longer. Don't forget to add some bay leaf! I sauteed the onion first and then the pork, put a bay leaf and then pour a cup of water and let it cook till the meat is soft. Then I will have mixed vegetables and brussels sprouts. I usually have some fresh vegetables but in times like this, a frozen one comes in handy as they are ready to boil and I don't need to peel the carrots and most of the vegetables that we like are all inside the bag. And for dessert, we're having this fruit salad that my kids prepare. This is an easy dessert for it doesn't require any cooking. Just mixing the ingredients: fruit cocktails double cream condensed milk And put it in the chiller, that would be good enough for a family dessert plus the kids enjoy making it as it's only about pouring and mixing in. While cooking, the husband decided to check our VCD Player if it's still working and glad it did. This is my Dad in law and according to Mum, Dad loves to play music so loud that the whole Comber can hear it. Dad must be hearing this from his grave. And Mum said he will come to tell us to put the volume up! Haha, I missed Dad so much. We got loads of Cd's, cassette tapes, DVD's, VHS here, like the really old stuff! Mum said, Dad will always send her to get the latest cd's even if it's far. We have here country music, Irish Dance Music, Mama Mia Soundtrack, The Sound of Music, Dolly Parton, Westlife, Abba, Kenny Rogers, Elvis Presley, Celine Dion and many more. These are my favourite 'Westlife' songs. Still good as gold. And while cooking I'm dancing in front of the cooker lol. I even singing then my husband comes telling me that it's going to rain. Cheeky. Then I went up to the house and grab his hand to dance with me. All I can hear is "I can't dance." But we dance still in front of Mum having a good laugh. The kids are watching they must think we're going nuts. Old song, old music but never gets old and so alive in the listener's heart and memory. *Go back to cooking and glad I finish everything without burning the lot. Presenting Momma's menu for today!* **Mashed Potato + Adobo + Mixed Vegetables** **Rice + Adobo + Mixed Vegetables** **And Fruit Salad for dessert** I think that will keep them happy today. If you want to know why I have to make different food for us, it's because I love to eat with rice and my husband loves his potatoes. Although we can all eat mashed potatoes, I still prefer rice. Funny isn't it? Well, that's one thing we have to stick in my biracial family. And I'm happy to do my job. Happy Momma and wifey here! Thank you all for reading.

True Colours *It's funny when someone says '****her true colours show'*** *only when they see her on her bad day. When she's not being herself. When she stops people from using her. When she started being vocal. When she started to stand for herself. When she started to defend herself. When she started to gather up her strength and build herself better than before.* Do her true colours show when she cursed and being rude? How about when she was nice and kind? Isn't it as well her true colours? Do her true colours show when she stops helping? How about those times that she didn't think twice and lend a helping hand? And now that she felt abuse of her kindness and it brings her trouble she wants to stop and finally learns how to say "NO". You told her that her true colours show? That what? She's a fake for you want to abuse her kindness and don't want the benefit of friendship to stop? Her true colours show because she didn't lend you money? How about the money you borrow that you haven't paid yet? How about that moment that you were so meek and humble like a sheep and turns to a tiger when ask when are you going to pay? And you want to borrow again? Is it my true colours if I you see me getting mad at my children and shouting at them? So those forever that I've been a good loving mother was a fake me? If I tell you that my husband and I were fighting. Does it mean our love for each other was fake and our true colours were revealed? We all get tired. We all get sad. We all give up at times. We all got fed up with life. We all have times we cried. We all have problems and sometimes it's just too much for some. And there are just days that we need to be understood that we have that day to face and smiling to it seems impossible. ***We all have our good days and bad days. We have our good side and bad side but it doesn't mean that my bad side is my true colour.*** I can be nice and kind and there just some days that I can be rude or speak my mind without thinking if I'm gonna hurt somebody with my words. And that's just me. That's a part of me. I don't mean to offend anyone but there are instances that I offended people and I feel bad. I feel bad for saying the truth, for speaking up my mind. But I have to accept to myself that that's me. And that is fine. **I wasn't an angel and never in disguise to be one.** It's funny how we eager to judge people only by that one time they did wrong and forget all the good deeds they made in the past. And how that person feels? That's an indescribable feeling of questioning oneself. I can only be good? Should I be only perfect in their eyes? That's why people afraid to be themselves. That's why they only love praises. That's why they're afraid of negative feedback. That's why she can't be her. That's why you can't be you. **Show your true colours. Reveal your identity to the world. Don't be scared to be told that your " true colours show". Embrace it. We all have different colours and we have dark and colourful ones. Even crayons got black. You are a good person. You're a person of colours.** Be Proud! Thank you for reading.

My Favourite Charity Shop I love bargains and I love going to charity shops. If you think charity shops only sell used clothes and shoes then you are wrong. They sell everything. And there's also brand new, some with tags or unused items in the shop. And I'm a pretty good bargain hunter and always find value in this shop. I save money and glad to know that by buying stuff I also able to help the charity. I buy second-hand items even clothes. I don't have sensitive skin. And I don't have an issue with wearing used clothes. I was used to it when I was young. My clothes are my sister's clothes. Hahaha. And I know how to wash clothes properly before using them. Even in the Philippines, we have what we call Ukay-Ukay and I love that place. Why should you shop in Charity Shops? *Photo Credit* https://www.pinterest.co.uk/pin/548946642060278135/ ***Because you'll be helping a good cause.*** And if you want to give further support then you can donate your unwanted items. Each year, charity shops in the UK raise around £300 million for a variety of causes, funding things like children in need, medical research, education, hospice care, overseas aid, families and veterans in need and much more good causes. **It's easy to donate. Things that people would throw away can be used to raise money for a good cause instead.** People bring donations to the shop and the charity sell them. Donations could be anything usable and in good condition like: Clothes Men's, women or kids) Shoes Toys Accessories Curtains Bags Furniture Books etc. Barnardo's (Believe in Children) *Photo Credit* https://www.thirdsector.co.uk/income-barnardos-charity-shops-25-per-cent/finance/article/1521886 My favourite Charity Shop! *Barnardo's support and protect children and young people facing a wide range of issues, from drug misuse to disability, from sexual abuse to domestic violence.* *The founder, Thomas Barnardo, believe that with the right help, children can change their lives and achieve their potential.* *Over 150 years ago, Barnardo is supporting children in need of help – regardless of their circumstances, gender, race, disability or behaviour*. I've been to different charity shops and I love them all but I must admit some shops sells stuff with an unbelievable price tag. But here in Bernardo's, I always got a good bargain! These are some of the things I bought in the shop. The Nike shoes I got it brand new with tags and only paid £6 for them. That's a bargain! The same goes with the bag. And those emojis I got 4 of them all came from the charity shop. And all of my books came from Barnardos. I normally pay just £1 and on some days 3 for £1. And it's a great deal! Look at some of these books. I love old books and especially poetry books. One of my favourites is the Ella Wheeler Wilcox Poems. Her words are tremendous. And most of my kid's books are from Barnardo's charity shop as well. These books cost a fortune if Im going to buy them at their regular price even at a discounted price. But I only pay a pound or 3 for £1 for them! We also bought a nice drawer from that shop, a new tennis racket, a roller skates also new and many more. Like, we can buy brand new things in the shop but why would I spent a fortune if I can get in a charity shop for a cheaper price? And Im always proud to show to my husband when I got things I wanted and tell him the price I paid for it compare to the price I will pay in the high-end shop. 😁 And I also donate some unused or unwanted items. From time to time I will ask my kids, Tia and Jigz to check their stuff and if they have clothes, shoes or toys that don't fit (too small now) or they don't use then I wash it/clean it and bring it to the charity shop so others make use of it. I only give those that have plenty of life. Where others can still use and enjoy it. Tia and Jigz have plenty of clothes that don't fit them anymore so instead of throwing them in the skip I'd rather donate them to the charity. I think that's a good thing to do. ***How about you, are you also a bargain hunter? Have you ever been to Charity Shop/Thrift Shop/Ukay-Ukay? Do you have your favourite shop? Let's hear it!*** Thank you for reading!

Band Parades in Comber, Northern Ireland Every 1st of July in many towns here in Northern Ireland, marches are held by groups with a Protestant orientation. The marches are organized by *Lodges of the Orange Order* and they are accompanied by a marching band. This is to commemorate the **Battle of Boyne**, which occurred on the east coast of Ireland in 1690. It's also known as **"Orangemen's Day"**, **"Orange Day"***,* **"the Glorious Twelfth"** or simply **"the Twelfth"**. The Battle of the Boyne This battle was held on July 1 1690, 30 miles north of Dublin, on the banks of the River **Boyne on the East coast of Ireland**. The **battle** was between Prince William of Orange, a Dutch protestant and his uncle, the Catholic James II. Prince William of Orange won the battle and he became King William III. The Battle of the Boyne symbolizes the struggles between Catholics and Protestants in Ireland. King James representing the Catholics and Prince William representing the Protestants. And the Battle of Boyne began the Protestant Ascendancy in Ireland. The Battle of the Boyne is now commemorated on July 12 but it was held on July 1, 1690. The shift in the date is due to the Julian calendar changeover to the Gregorian calendar. The Gregorian calendar was adopted in Ireland in 1752 and September 14 followed September 2. Many dates in the calendar were mapped into the new calendar without correcting or checking it. However, the Orange Orders continued to march on the corrected date of July 12. Participants in the parade, often wear dark suits and they usually remove their jackets if it is hot. Traditionally they wear black bowler hats and white gloves. The participants also wear collarettes which are made from a long thin piece of cloth, draped around the neck of the wearer and joined to form a “V” shape at the front. The collarettes are made from orange cloth and they bear the number of the lodge that the wearer belongs to and badges showing the person’s positions in the lodge. Most of the Lodges carry at least one flag during the marches. This is normally the Union Flag or the Union Jack, while some carry Ulster, Scottish or Orange Order flags.  Different lodges also carry one or more banner that display***s*** the name and number of the lodge on one side. The other side often displays images of William of Orange, local landmarks, the bible with a crown or deceased lodge members just like in the photo below. ***Here are some of the Lodges and Bands that march in Comber on the 1st of July:*** Comber True Blues Lodge Lily of the Valley Accordion Band *This is special because my mother-in-law used to be in this band. She always asks me if I see her band every time we go watch the parade.* *That's Mum and my brother in law when he was 5 in the picture. She is playing with the accordion under the Lily of the Valley Accordion Band. If only the accordion was still here I could have asked her to play it for us. But sadly, her sister ask for the accordion last year and she gave it away.* Comber Standard Lodge Crimson Star Band Flute Band Goldsprings of Comber Lodge The Twelfth is a bank holiday in Northern Ireland. And there's always a local disruption to traffic on this Day as the local lodges and bands march through the town and certain districts. It can also be observed and celebrated in other parts of the United Kingdom (Scotland, England and Wales) where it is not a bank holiday. ***Here are some of the bands from all over Northern Ireland here in Comber(2018)*** Everyone in our town gathered in the streets to watch the parade. The kids are fun to watch as they enjoy it the most. And here is Tia when she was wee watching the band: Thank you for reading!

My Day: Tuesday Galore! Last week I ask my husband to take us somewhere nice and he said he is working and he will take us somewhere on Tuesday which is his off. Today is Tuesday so I ask what he promised. But his mistake is that he thought that the kids were already on their holiday. That Monday was their last day but no, it's Wednesday. So it was cancelled. This morning Tia was sick and didn't go to school. Jigz went to school with his bike. Tia being "bored," asked daddy, "Can we go in the car daddy?" She wants to on a holiday. 🙈 She always feels better when she's out. So since we have to go to Pet Store to look for a bigger tank to add more fish, we took Tia with us. Mum enjoys watching the fish and always ask if they aren't getting tired just constantly swimming about. Mum doesn't want to go. So we went to the Fish Shop. These are some of the available fish tanks. They are all very nice and cost a fortune as well. But we decided that we will get this one if we it's the right measurement. We don't really have a big place for it. We have a good look at the fish in the shop. Tia keeps looking for 'Pink Fish' and she really likes this Kissing Fish. And ask Daddy to bit one for her but she has to wait till we get a new tank. Then she can choose fish she likes to put into it. I also look into accessories that can go inside the tank. They have lovely corals and plants. But this one, I don't think this belongs here. 😂🙈 It looks very familiar. Then we went to Nendrum Monastic Site. This is Nendrum Monastic Site here in Mahee Island, Northern Ireland. A monastery of Saint Mo-Choi of Nendrum in the mid 5th century. Mo-Choi is an associate of Saint Patrick, the patron Saint of Ireland who brings Christianity to the country. Its ruins include a church, round tower, sundial, Cashel and Tide mills. What you see here is a sundial with the division of daylight into 8 periods, marking the time for prayer here in Nendrum Monastic Site. This is an example of an early Irish Medieval Monastery. My husband and I enjoy this place because it has the best view from here. You can see White Rock Bay. And we have some picture taking. A bit of craziness, a lot of jump shots and posing. I'm glad that my husband is in the mood to go with the flow. 😂 As you can see she is enjoying jumping from the Round Tower. And she did that more than 10 times. She doesn't look sick now. And she said, "She feels better." Teaching how to use the fishing rod. Jigz got home from school. My husband decided were going fishing tomorrow. He gets his fishing rods and started teaching Tia and Jigz how to use them. And believe me, they are fast learners. They can do it better than me. Then we have our dinner which we bought from the Chippy. We had Fish and Chips with free Pastie for dinner. I have no time today to cook. After we eat and have a rest we started cutting the hedge. We always do it at the end of June than October. We started at the lane side, make the place look tidy. My husband teaches me how to use the hedge trimmer. I find it quite heavy but easy to use. It will give you sore arms after for sure. I know I have to be careful with it and my husband watching me as I do it. Just giving him a hand. He can do the finishing touch. While the kids helping us with the cleaning. The hard bit of cutting the hedge is the cleaning up. It's hard work. We finished at 9 pm and clean them, get ready for bed. We will continue cutting the hedge tomorrow. At least one side is done. More to go! And that's how our Tuesday was spent. It's a beautiful day galore! Thank you for reading.

Why Grandparents are the Best? Grandparents are a wonderful blessing to the world. The best people you can run to when Mommy or Daddy said "NO". Grandparents are angels to the children, the defender of the universe, the shoulder to cry on, the genie in the bottle and the one who will keep your stomach full at all times. They are cool. They are savage. They are full of love and understanding for their grandchildren. They keep them happy even their parents are not. **Grandparents are the best here's why:** 1. They will spoil you Mommy and daddy said no sweets, no sugary drinks but don't worry, granny and granda will buy you anything you're not allowed to eat or drink. And will even tell you, *"Won't do you any harm".* If you're crying, go to granny and granda and you will feel better, they have their ways. Grandparents will give you their full time and attention. They will play ball with you even their complaining about their arthritis. They never out of patience for their grandchild. Their love is boundless. 2. They will buy you the best gift It doesn't matter if it cost hundreds of pounds, anything for a grandchild they will buy it! Just to keep them happy. They will buy you anything you wish and even surprise you with gifts even if it's not your birthday. No need for an occasion for them to buy something for their babies. 3. They tell you wonderful stories and a great listener of yours They are full of experience. They have loads of stories, you name it. They will tell you about the war. And how hard life is when they were young and how lucky this generation now. They tell you stories where you will learn a valuable lesson. Grandparents also love to listen to every story you want to share and answer your question in the most endearing way. 4. They will learn you to do chores You will never grow up with lazybones with grandparents. They will teach you a thing or two. Wash the dishes, go grab a chair let the kid stand there fold their sleeve up and give them something to wash. Baking? Give their own dough and let them mimic what you are doing. Cooking soup, let them help with the vegetables! 5. You always have someone to run to You did something bad and Mommy or Daddy got mad and so you cry and ran to granny. Grab Granny's hand and let her deal with them. (That's my Tia, every time she is in trouble) 6. They will slip money into your pocket I always wonder where my kid's money comes from especially my son, and where else? "Granny gave this to me!" ***To the grandparents, their grandchildren never do anything wrong. Spoiled in everything but most of all spoiled with their love. Grandparents are full of it. And from them, grandchildren learn what love is.*** *And the greatest joy of grandparents is their grandchildren. It is a blessing to have lovely parents/ in-laws like them.* *And I thank God for giving my kids a Wonderful Awesome Lola! We love her lots.* Thank you for reading!

Lovely Day at Nutts Corner's Sunday Market It's a glorious 20°C today. I wake up my husband early and ask him if we can go to the Sunday Market with the kids. Make the most of the sun that we haven't seen for days. It's almost an hour to get there, and it's like a road trip. I took this photo: while singing in my head, ***Country roads, take me home*** ***To the place, I belong*** ***West Virginia, Mountain Mama*** ***Take me home, country road.*** It fits right? I'm lucky to be in here. Northern Ireland is such a beauty. We reach Nutts Corner and as usual the parking, this massive place is full. You have to pay £1 to get in and I always thought that they're making good money out of it. We get off the car and go on separate ways. Lol. Yes, we do. It's because I love to look at things he doesn't want and I can't bother looking at things he's looking at so it's better if we go enjoy our freedom. Does it make sense? But of course, I have to ask for money. Typical. 😂 I love the look he gives me. But who cares? I didn't forget to say thank you, hahaha. So I have Tia with me and he has Jigz. Because Tia is my food buddy and they look at everything, we don't. ***We just come here for the food.*** 😂 From time to time we will cross each others path and ask each other. My husband always says, *"Do I know you?"* and I was like, *"No, I'm new here. Want to take me home?"*🤣 We're not even walking too far when Tia, whispered in my ear, *"Mommy, just one ice cream."* Then put that big smile on her face. The one she used to use when she wants something. That's her special skill to get what she wants. "Please, Mommy!" Does she look happy enough? Not even 5 minutes in the market and she already had ice cream. We go back walking and enjoy all sorts of stalls in there. This GIF is from the last week to show what their selling: And while walking we passed the Dinky Donuts stall. And here I hear, someone whispering again, *"Mommy, the doughnut with chocolate and marshmallow looks yummy! Just last one. I promised."* As if the word "last" exist in our house. Last could even be just the beginning with no end. 🙄 So here she is after **"just one ice cream"**, here's **"the last one".** I call my husband to meet me here and buy Jigz a doughnut so he can eat with Tia and here they are, And after she finishes her doughnuts I ask her, "Is it okay if we can start walking again? You must be full now." And she was like, "Yes, Mommy! 😁". And off we walk. Here are some photos from today: This is one of my favourite, their selling fresh seafood and they are always here every Sunday. I bought a kilo of Prawns so you can expect my future dish would be anything with Prawns. And this is my husband's favourite one where he buys his burger. Oh, he loves it with loads of onion. And me, of course, rice. Chicken Curry with rice will keep me happy. Seriously before, I only come here so I can buy the Chicken Curry with Rice because it's so good! So what I bought? Aside from the prawns, I bought lovely gladiator sandals, some sweets, husband got some tools, as usual, Jigz got loads of Pokemon cards that cost a fortune while Tia is full. She doesn't want anything anymore. She's happy enough. ***And we all go back home with a smile on our face.*** And because Mum wasn't able to come with us because her legs are bad again. We brought her a cake from the local bakers that sell in there too. I swear, this tastes delicious than it looks! I will definitely buy it again. And tea with the cake will be perfect. I and Mum enjoy this treat! ***And that's how our lovely Sunday goes. I wonder how is yours?*** Thank you for reading.

My Daughter's First Year in School in Time of Pandemic ***I know how overwhelming it is for parents and children as the child starts the major milestone of going to Primary School. I am mixed feeling, thrilled and anxious if my daughter will be able to adapt to her new environment. My daughter, Tia, didn't go to nursery or any playgroup. So I was uncertain, but I know she's smart and being positive that she's going to love school.*** The whole family is well prepared for her big day and we make sure we got everything she needs. Months of constant preparations going to shop buying school uniform, shoes, bag, lunch bag, water bottle etc. I buy loads of hair accessories. I keep reading school emails to make sure I do not forget anything that Tia needs. But I didn't expect that the Pandemic will change everything. Change our normal ways and it includes how school works. We are not even sure at that time if the children can return to school. Primary 1 students should be toured in the school with their parents beforehand. But instead, they send us an email with a video of the child's teacher, introducing herself and showing us around the school. **Before their big day (1st September), we were advised that:** the kids should not bring school bag but a disposable plastic bag for their snack since the items brought to and from school will be kept to a minimum school uniform is optional until half term arrival times will be staggered children should bring their small bottle of sanitiser and cleanse their hand before entering the school. no mixing of classes the break will be consumed in the child's classroom and not in the canteen like it used to. Tia is privileged to have free meals in school just like the rest, so she only has to bring a snack. We have to order it online so I have to remember that every weekend. Although it's optional to wear a uniform, I still send Tia in her uniform, because it's her first year and I want to see her in her uniform and it's not easy to keep changing clothes every day. Since she cannot use her new bag, I only give her a disposable bag with a snack on it as all her things are already in school. First Day Tia was so excited and looking at herself in the mirror wearing her uniform, she is so happy and proud. I told her that she will meet her teacher and friends and that we will pick her up after school. On her first day, she has lots of stories and trying to cite her classmate's names that she can remember. She's excited to share what she did and how she had a good time playing. She keeps saying that her teacher is very nice. She is delighted and looking forward to going to school every day. Homeschool Learning The second lockdown in October took place effective for 6 weeks, the school has to close. **Seesaw App** is introduced for homeschool learning. They send all the task that the kids have to do and we send them back when we were done. So a printer is essential during this time. Look at some of Tia's work: ***If I'm honest, it wasn't easy for a P1 student and especially for parents this kind of set up but we have to do it and we did it***. It's never a school setting and there are no classmates to play with, I feel bad that she has to have her first year like this. But it works for me and Tia, even you have to have extra patience for her to do her homework at her own pace. More snack time than usual, play before school, patience and more patience. They were back to school in November and had their first event **"Roald Dahl Day"** where they can dress up as one of their favourite Roald Dahl characters. **Tia dressed up as Matilda** And in December wearing a Christmas outfit and singing Christmas songs with the class. Before the pandemic, those events can be attended with their parents. They didn't even have the '**Nativity Play'** this year. But still, the school doing their best sending us lovely pictures and videos of how our kids doing which we really appreciate. Another lockdown January, another lockdown was in place. We are back to remote learning so I'm the teacher once again. They were back in March and Tia was so happy to be back and see her classmates and teacher. And on the 12th of March, she was the **Pupil of the Week!** She enjoyed Sports Week this month. It's full of fun! Parents, still are not allowed to watch them in school but send us a video and photos. And tomorrow they will have a **Teddy Bear** themed fun day where they can wear whatever they want and can bring a teddy to school. She is so excited to wear her pink dress and take her pink teddy. **Here are the things I learned that I want to share with other parents:** Bath them at night, save you time in the morning and so you will not hear more squealing Always check your emails for any updates and school events that you might require to pay for or bought something especially costumes Never forget to order their meal before midnight as the meals must be pre-booked. I forgot it once and I didn't send them a packed lunch. Check their pockets before it goes to the washer, you'll see some small things inside. Check their bags and pockets before they go to school and make sure they don't bring your lipstick or any makeup to school Name their uniforms! Tia went home with an old jumper and I cannot do anything about it as it's my fault I didn't put a name on hers and this happened twice Make sure you leave extra clothes in school for "accidents" do happen and they wet themselves unexpectedly. It will save you a run in the shop ***And on top of all say Thank You to their teacher! I can't even handle my own so how much more than 30 of them?!*** And now we are approaching last week in school and yesterday I received her report grades which I cannot contain my happiness not to share with yous. The report says: ***She's "Almost Always" keen to learn, listens attentively, works independently, works well with other children, follows instructions promptly, can stay focused on the task and tries her best.*** Communication (Language and Literacy) Tia has worked hard this year and has made good progress in this area. She is happy to share her thoughts during circle time and will contribute to whole-class discussions. She enjoys stories and can answer questions about the text. She has been working hard at home with reading books and she is becoming more familiar with some high-frequency words. Tia is beginning to recognise some letter sounds. Continued work on this will be helpful moving forward into P2. Tia can focus on a task and work independently. She takes pride in her written work and completes work neatly. Using Mathematics (Mathematics and Numeracy) Tia enjoys joining in with our counting rhymes and songs. She can count forwards and backwards within 10. Tia can also recognise and order the numerals to 10. She can sort objects for different criteria and can talk about her work. She has coped well with the practical activities associated with simple pattern making. Further Comments (General and Curricular) Tia has steadily grown in confidence this year and it has been lovely to watch her friendships with other children flourish. Tia loves Play-Based Learning and shows a particular flair for creative activities. She loves to paint and, although she engages without painting activities set, she loves to paint houses when she has free choice. She shows great attention to detail in her work. Tia enjoyed taking part in World Around Us lessons and can talk about the lifecycles of a frog and a butterfly. Tia showed good control and coordination when using the large equipment during our P.E lessons. Tia is a happy, enthusiastic girl who has worked hard this year. I enjoyed seeing the work she was doing at home during 'lockdown'. It has been great to get to know you, Tia. I wish you all the best for P2. *Who wouldn't be pleased to read this report? I'm over the moon and very proud of Tia's achievement.* ***Learning during Pandemic is tough. Parents who turn to teacher did a very good job even it wasn't an easy task. And how grateful I am that my child is in a great school with a lovely teacher that makes her first school year full of fun and discovery. And I'm a very proud Mum!*** ***Enjoy the summer, my fellow parents, we deserve some rest for P2 is up next! You are awesome! You also did well!*** ***Don't forget to give a thank you card to their teacher! Tia wrote a very nice card and got a lovely thank you gift for her.*** Thank you for reading!

The Scar on my Forehead ***Have you got any scar on your body? I don't mean the scar in your heart that your ex left you when you broke up. I'm talking about the real scar, a deep wound that didn't completely heal and leaves you this mark.*** It's been a long time but I can still remember how I got the scar on my forehead. It was the year 1999, I was 9 years old and in Grade 3. It was afternoon, the sun is shining fiercely. I'm waiting for my Mama at the basketball court in our place. She went to the school to get my report card and I was so excited for her to tell me that I'm the Top 1 in our class. I just want to hear her say "Well done!" So I'm waiting for her patiently. I was waiting inside the tricycle that parked in the court. Waiting for my Mama to arrive, finally, I saw her and I rushed running to her. I cannot contain my excitement but as I make few steps out of the tricycle, I felt an object hit me straight to my forehead and a liquid drips into my face and that's the last thing I remember before I lost my consciousness. When I wake up, I can feel the pain and as I look in the mirror, I wonder what's the bandage around my head for. My clothes are covered with blood. I saw the face of my parents and they weren't happy. What happened is I was hit with a stone by "**Toto**". That's how he was called. He lives in our place, age around 20+ at that time but seems like of 10-year-old boy and he's mentally challenged. *He hit me hard.* When my Papa asked me what happened, *I told them he( Toto) was taking a fit at that time and throwing stones and hit me. And they believe me.* But that wasn't the truth. I didn't tell them the truth. Until now no one knows the truth except me and him. **But his family didn't buy it. They know him. That I must have done something for him to hit me with a stone.** ***Rewind: While waiting for Mama*** I saw "Toto" talking to himself as he was holding a match with spiders in his hand. I started bullying him while I'm inside the tricycle. Calling him "crazy" and that he wasn't right all sort of words that will trigger him to do something bad. And he warned me and I remember that. He got a stone in his hand and said "**Babatuhin Kita! (I will hit you with this stone!)"** But I didn't listen and continue to mimic him, annoying him, trigger his anger. And as soon as I saw my mother and run. That was the time he did what he told me will do. And it hits me so hard that even it heals because it's deep, it leaves a scar. Who's fault is it? Was it mine? ***Of course, it was mine!*** ***But did I admit it at that time?*** ***No, I didn't. I played as if I was the victim.*** ***Maybe because I was too young and afraid of my Mama or Papa will hit me if I told them the truth.*** ***Who am I to justify my wrongdoing now that I'm old?*** ***Do I deserve this scar?*** Yes, I do! That teaches me a lesson. If I just talked to him nicely or play with him because even he is 20+ his thinking is still like a child, maybe I wouldn't have this scar. Maybe we will be good friends. But I was bad. I was really bad. And that's part of my childhood that I wouldn't forget. And I made peace of my childhood memories, and forgive myself. I face my childhood self and admitted what I've done. But never to Toto. I don't know if he is still alive. But if he is, if one day we meet again, even though he will not recognize me, I will still like to tell him that, "This scar in my forehead, you didn't do it, It is me. But I blame you for it. And say sorry." After that incident, I got scared of him that he might hit me again if he sees me. I never go to court again and always try to avoid him. The scar left on me grew bigger as the year pass. I used to cover it with my bangs. ***And that's the story of my scar.*** ***What's the story of yours?*** Thank you for reading. ❤❤❤

A Happy Father's Day Special Happy Father's Day to all the amazing pillar of the home! Yesterday morning I took the kids with me to the shop to get presents for their Daddy for Father's Day which is today. We keep looking around the shop but before we got daddy her presents the kids get themselves something first. They run to their favourite section and got themselves something even if it's not part of our agenda. So Jigz got a kite and a nice polo shirt and Tia I just heard her exclaimed, "What a beautiful dress, mommy! I laugh because she tries to look in front of the mirror to see if it fits and ask random people passing her, **"Do I look beautiful in this dress?"** And everyone who looks at her finds her adorable. Oh, I even forgot why we're here! Are we shopping for the kids? It looks like it. Back to looking for daddy's presents I finally got cards and balloons, my son with his last fiver got his daddy his favourite box of Maltesers chocolate. And I went to JD Sports and found these T-shirt and shorts that will be good for summer. So everything is sorted. Last night I and the kids were busy writing our cards for their Daddy. My son, Jigz and my daughter, Tia draw themselves including him and we had so much fun. I think daddy will like it. Tia made sure the number of hands and feet are right. She counts it 1 to 5. While I'm also writing mine and as usual it shouldn't be a lame one. And it went like this.. ***To the joy of my life*** ***The reason why I smile so bright*** ***The one who made me have a good day and night*** ***To the one who's fart I able to stand*** ***Of course, I can't do anything about it*** ***We sleep on the same bed my love*** ***Been too long, can't complain now.*** ***I'm getting used to it anyway It smells like perfume to me now.*** ***Happy Fathers Day my Dear Forde,*** ***My King 👑*** ***Thank you for everything I love you more and more every day.*** ***Let's enjoy your day!*** ❤❤❤ Haha, I had a good laugh of it. And this morning we wait till daddy gets up. We didn't wake him up today like we always used to. And he was very happy to see us waiting! And they give their gives and daddy read our cards and so their drawing and make him emotional but when he reads mine he almost fart, I mean he laughs. Daddy had a lovely Father's Day Kisses from the kids and me. And I think you can see that he is indeed happy! He almost cries thanks to my letter that save those tears from falling. We will have a lovely day. Gonna treat him to a good dinner later. For now, we will be playing in the garden with the kids. Enjoy your day Daddy, Dada, Papa, Dad whatever you are called! You are love. You are awesome. @MarcDeMesel *Sir, a special greeting to you this Father's Day. Thank you for being the pillar of read.cash. I know you'll be enjoying your day. And I wish a big smile on your face and every single day. Cheers! 🥂*

Teach Your Child to Call for Help in an Emergency Yesterday, I had a very busy day. I forgot to take my breakfast which is the porridge that Mum made for me because of the chores I have to do. While I'm waiting in the playground to pick up my 5-year-old daughter, Tia from school, I feel lightheaded but try to compose myself not to faint. We got back home and told Tia to change clothes, take off her uniform so I can wash it. We're in the caravan. I was reaching for Paracetamol when everything turns black. The next thing I realize, I was in my husband's arms. Luckily I was with Tia and she runs to the house to call for help. My husband said she was crying and ask to help Mommy as I fall. I fainted again and this wasn't the first time it happened. The last time I told Tia that if Mommy faints again and I am in the caravan or garden, she has to call for anyone Daddy, Lola or her brother for help and that's what she did yesterday. It's my blood pressure drop once again. I didn't eat any and yet didn't rest when I was tired. I also stop taking my iron tablets. I regain my consciousness after but sometimes I can't move my body right away. I used to faint in the tunnel house, the garden or even in the house while doing something and the worst part is the falling. Yesterday, I hurt my ribs and head as I hit the door. It's sore but not that bad. I praised Tia for calling for Daddy when it happened. And she looks after me after so Mummy feels so much better. But I know I have to teach her about calling for help when there's no one around and it's an emergency. Here in the UK, our emergency hotline is 999. It's very important to teach our young ones to know how to dial for help whenever there is an emergency. But you have to explain to your child, what is an emergency and what is not. That their safety should be the number one priority. What to do when there's a fire or not to call 999 if she's fighting with her brother. I remember the 4-year-old boy who called 911 to ask for help with his Math problems. And it's hilarious when the Mom saw the son on the phone and ask what he think is he doing and wee one said, he's talking to the policeman helping him with his homework, and say, "you said if I need help I call somebody" and the mother said, "I didn't mean the police". And that's a funny one. https://youtu.be/YoTIaRyGzac But when it's a serious matter like when a 5-year-old Savannah phone 911 because her dad had a breathing problem. She saves his life and she did a very good job talking to the dispatcher. https://youtu.be/zj837OTiYWc There are many amazing children whom I watch on the internet saving the life of their parents or love ones by calling for help. ***Teaching our child may save your life when it's needed. You'll never know. And that's why we have to educate them.*** Thank you for reading. Lead Image Source https://www.how2become.com/blog/safety-kids-call-999-emergency/

Let Them Be Bored I often hear my kids complaining and saying "I'm bored, Mommy." And I was like, they have so many toys, gadgets and we have a big garden that they can play and run about. How can they be bored? I remember when I was a child, we don't have time to get bored. There are loads to do! And if you say you are bored, your parents might give you unwanted chores like a pan as black as a coal and will tell you to scrub it till it turns white. We don't have phones or internet those days and we are always out playing with our neighbours or with our siblings. We entertain ourselves when we are bored. Our parents don't entertain us. We don't have Google back then, if we have homework we have to go to the library and patiently search for the answer, page by page. I remember when I was a child if it's raining outside and I can't go out I always thinking of God and who made God and who's the one who made God until I give up thinking. And some days I will be daydreaming of having a truck full of money and planning what will I buy first. And I enjoy it, you know! But this generation is afraid of boredom. They need to get entertained all the time. When they don't have data or wifi, they feel like that's the only entertainment they have. Parents keep filling their boredom and not letting them be bored and get creative. What I'm saying is, ***let them be bored! Let their unconscious mind be conscious. Let them experiment. Let them discover themselves and what can satisfy their boredom. Sometimes we just have to let them be.*** Boredom leads to Creativity A bored mind develops the ability to be creative and this is the number one benefit of boredom. Because when you are bored you pushing yourself to be satisfied and so you get creative and do things you don't normally do. You experiment and you discover a new hobby and say, Oh I love doing this! Boredom helps develop their sense of Identity Over-scheduling our kids is unnecessary and this will hinder them from discovering what truly interests them. Remember when they are bored, we should not fill their time with what we want but let them explore and learn new things that they don't usually do when they are occupied. My 5 years old daughter, Tia learn to bake cookies when she was bored and she loves it. And also making a jelly. So instead of me buying ready to eat jelly for Tia, I buy one that she will make and let her pick what flavour. At her age, I want her to try different things. I guide her on exploring stuff that she might be interested in. So here's my Tia while being bored, Tia baking cookies Tia making jelly And my son who is 10, loves to learn football and love riding his bike when he is bored in the house. When he was bored he started going to the cricket club and start training. Also on his boredom, he started going to the skate park and ask us for a stunt scooter. I'm worried about his safety because I know how he can easily break his neck with it. But I have to let him have the freedom to know what he truly wants with guidance from us. I encourage outdoor plays for the kids instead of with their phones or gadgets. We love to have a ride in the bike in the lane which we all enjoy. I always believe that outdoor play is the best way for kids to learn and enjoy. Or when they helping me to tidy up the place or garden. Let them get their hands dirty. Teach them and give them a little work. Mum always says that won't do them any harm. So when they get bored they get to learn something. They discover a new interest. They developed their common sense and logic. They experience the world first hand and learn to engage in problem-solving. And that's what we parents are for! ***Our role is to prepare our children to take their place in society. Let the children fill up their boredom. Let them do this for themselves. Let us be their guide.*** Thank you for reading.
