Looking at JungleTV as an earning option and looking to get a wallet to grab any earnings. Crypto beginner here. How do I start?

@a2j

Got a couple of errors on Noise just now. As expected, the error messages were supercool! They went away after a few moments. Good to be on a site where the error messages are also cool and humourous!

@a2j

"I'm Fine" is one of the most commonly told lies. People are often unwilling to tell their weaknesses or show their falls. "Truth Be Told" by Mathew West beautifully addresses this with its brilliant lyrics and lovely music. https://youtu.be/qZGLgoxnrRg Some thoughtful music for your Sunday!

@a2j

A bouquet brings the beauty of flowers inside our home. But watching a flower in a bouquet die unnaturally is ugly. It wilts, darkens and rots and smells bad. A flower fading in nature just fades away beautifully, droops and then drops to the ground where it forms a beautiful carpet and then becomes one with the earth.

@a2j

All tangled up: This is my bedside table which has 2 charging cables tangles up with my old phone charging and a powerbank just there. Just shows that with many gadgets our lives can get tangled up too!

@a2j

It's called Chicken Bacon. What?!! Anyway, decided to try it today as a sandwich. Good enough and I added chicken salami to it (what again!!!) There was no taste of real bacon or pork salami but it was a good experimental dinner. Reasonably tasty. I have no idea how (un)healthy it is!!

Are humans the only animals thst drink the milk of other animals?

@a2j

The fragility of bubbles: We ended up playing with soap bubbles in the corridor. My little daughter loved it and was screaming with joy watching the bubbles and popping s few. These bubbles were large and floated slowly. Life is like a pretty bubble. Great, free floating, but fragile. It can pop at any time. The pictures show the device that makesnthe bubble which is bright and orange. I tried to catch a floating bubble with a pretty shadow on the wall. The colorful bubble…

When using JungleTV, what would you recommend? Using the computer browser or the phone browser? This is for both ease of use and for earnings.

@a2j

A touch of vanilla in my coffee. This pack is supposed to be vanilla coffee powder. It's a bit too strong on the vanilla taste. So when I brew my coffee I add this to make about quarter of my regular coffee powder before brewing it in my Aeropress. It adds just the right amount of vanilla kick to my morning cuppa! #Coffee

@a2j

Let's get back to South Asia and introducing you to a Pakistani Sufi Rock band called "Junoon". One of their songs called "Sayonee" was my favorites in college. The distinctly unique fusion sound of Pakistani, Indian and western instruments and beats created a masterpiece https://youtu.be/-8anr6et3Lw

Wow! Indian women beat Australia in women's hockey at the Olympics and reach the semi finals. What an achievement! It was a hard fought 1-0 victory. I hope they go on to win a medal. Chak De India!!

@a2j

Pears @ Work! I usually have a mid morning snack at work and I grab whatever is available at the canteen at work. Usually this is not healthy. Today I took a fruit to work and it felt good crunching on pears instead of a meat cutlet at 11 am. I'm still hungry though 😒

@a2j

JungleTV has made some changes to their page and there are a few extra options and more information available. There is a new Announcements tab on the menu. The navigation bar is redesigned. Your rewards are easier to see and this includes rewards history. Number of videos in queue with total duration. Leaderboards - not sure if this is a new feature.

@a2j

50 shades of grey? The sky across the setting sun is changing rapidly. Part of it is grey and looks to be rainclouds while the right side looks more whiter and fluffier with blue sky inbetween. It's 6 PM and I don't know if the night holds some rainfall for us. It's been warm nights for a while now and we need a cool spell.

@a2j

My Aeropress ready to spurt out another mean cup of coffee in the morning. It's simple to use and is better than most other brewing methods. Have any of you used an Aeropress? #Coffee

@a2j

Sugar is so confusing these days! There's so many types and there's so much of advice as to how healthy or unhealthy each is. I use predominantly white sugar which is refined. I use it in moderation. What do you use? Photo is a close up of sugar crystals in my sugar jar.

@a2j

JungleTV had a few videos with higher values BAN with 4 to 5 min videos. Usually I get <0.1 BAn per video and some are looooong. To get multiple videos > 0.2 was nice. Can't spend too much time though, so the earning is slow unless they give a jackpot when you're online. Hoping to get some jackpots randomly this month.

@a2j

Powerplant, a browser based banano mining site closed down yesterday. I have never used it, but was looking to see if was an option worth exploring. I've seen a couple of posts on this channel about the program and maybe elsewhere too.

@a2j

I ended up watching this song by Rick Astley (Never Gonna Give You Up) quite a few times on JungleTV. Brought back some MTv memories! https://youtu.be/dQw4w9WgXcQ

After the lockdown and pandemic, we haven't been able to go to visit my In-Laws, who stay on a hill station. There were pretty flowers everywhere. This random flower was on a corner of their garden when we visited them a few years ago. Should have taken more pictures!

Error on Publish0x with tip amounts being 0.00000 I have attached a screenshot of the error in tip amounts which always shows as 0.0000. Looks like the admins are aware and have put up a clarification stating tips are being given and that the glitch will be sorted out soon. #Publish0X

Amazon! Once in a while you notice an Amazon listing with some info that makes you laugh. Like this kids play mat made for adults up to 90 years!! Was that a typo or intentional?

@a2j

Another sunrise through my bedroom window. Even though it rained at night, it was already getting hot and the sun was bright through a mix of light clouds and blue skies. You can see that my window has smudges that add a nice touch to the scenery. I'll clean it this week.

My 10 year old son listens to a lot of TobyMac. Surprisingly, TobyMac was also a member of my favorite band in college (DC Talk). So there's a connection! He's got a slightly hip hop and slightly disco sound and has a very positive message. "Speak Life" is one of my favorites. https://youtu.be/ZeBv9r92VQ0

@a2j

Prayer and a busy life For those of you who believe in prayer, this comes as no surprise. "A busy life makes prayer harder, but a prayer makes a busy life easier" We always blame a busy modern life for the inability to pray meaningfully to God. But the truth is that if we take time to pray in the middle of our busyness it willale our busy day better. It will calm us and help us refocus and work better. We will also enjoy the blessing of answered prayer more

@a2j

Nothing lasts forever and nothing is unbreakable! Remember the old Nokia phones? They were built sturdy and could withstand falls and rough handling for many years. These days even Nokia has let us down. We use a Nokia nonsmart phone for work and within a few days of getting it, couple of the buttons fell off and the main central button has stopped working. Nothing in life is guaranteed to be permanent or long lasting.

@a2j

I'd posted about my In Laws who stay in a hill station where you'll find beautiful greenery and flowers even in corners and any spaces. This is another beautiful yellow flower I found when we visited them a few years ago. It's been 2 years since we went there as covid and lockdowns have made it impossible.

This is the list of Olympic medals won by India till the start of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. In Tokyo, India has already won 3 medals - 1 silver and 2 bronze. A couple of medals more will likely be won in the next few days. Good luck to the sports teams!

@a2j

India win hockey bronze. What an exciting match vs Germany. India was down 1-3. But they stepped up the pace at the end of the second quarter and went up 5-3 by the 3rd quarter. Germany pulled one back to make it 5-4. The last 10 seconds saw a fantastic save by the Indian Goalie Sreejit off a penalty corner. The quality of the game was just too good.

@a2j

JungleTV has a 5 hour queue of videos and the general earnings are 0.3 to 0.4 BAN per video which are < 5 min. Good time to get in.

My dirty laptop keyboard. I rarely clean or brush my laptop keys and it shows! There's dirt snd dust embedded in it for many months/years. I need some motivation to clean it safely. I can't remove it or open it up, so I guess I'll have to clean it with a brush or maybe a light spray. Any recommendations?

"Don't tell God you have a big problem; tell your problem you have a big God" There is no-one who never faces a problem in life. In fact, not one day will pass where you haven't faced a problem. Such is the nature of life. For those of you who believe in God, the fact that God knows those problems and is bigger than any problem is very comforting and reassuring. He never takes you through something you cannot cope with, of you trust Him. That does not mean we should be…

Does drinking chilled water on a hot day hydrate you better?

@a2j

It's been a clear and warm day today. There are a few scattered clouds in the sky. Love how this black and white cloud seem to be having a conversation stop the hill. Waiting for rains sonthat the hill turns lush green.

@a2j

Broken! One of the reasons I had to stop using my Moto X4 after 3 years was that the camera glass had gotten cracked when I dropped it. A lot of dust got into the lens too and photos were very hard to take. The main reason I stopped using it was that it had a problem charging.

@a2j

After the hot and clear day with a few fluffy clouds, it's raining so heavily at 7.30 pm. The smell of rain is terrific and the sound is relaxing. Hope this cools down the night and the day tomorrow.

@a2j

End of the day: Had a short stint of work at midnight. So finally, I drove away from the basement parking lotwhich was quite lonely and desolate. I can't just drive straight to the exit. I need to follow the arrows to go around the basement to the exit. Life is like that. The shortest path is often not tthe correct path. Good night.

@a2j

All puddled up! After the sudden outpour of rain last night, thete were puddles everywhere. But the roads has dried quickly. Do yoi love jumping in puddles.

@a2j

Close up of a Brownie This is why the texture and mouth feel is so good. These are brownies that my mother in law made. Yummy!

@a2j

After the burst of rains for a short while at night, the puddles have dried up. The lush green on a wild patch next to our apartments looks fresher and happier. The morning is cooler and the breeze is peppy.

@a2j

I've noticed a couple of things on this channel 1. Many people were posting random photos which has nothing to do with flowers, but looks like mods are catching up with that. 2. Earnings on a lot of the posts are 0 inspite of many likes. Is there a reason for this?

The classic rap from the 1980s and 1990s. It was social, antisocial, rebellious and emotional. It was difficult to listen to clean rap music. @a2j

Frustrating CAPTCHA Captcha are supposed to differentiate between bots and humans on sites. But some are getting more and more frustrating. Like this one. It's on a crypto earning site and you need to type in 3 highlighted phrases with correct spacing and case/symbols. Sometimes I just give up on the click for cash sites simply beacuse the fraction of the cent earned is not worth the effort.

@a2j

Some performances are unique. This orchestra with a typewriter thrown in is one of them. https://youtu.be/G4nX0Xrn-wo The YouTube video is titled "Typewriter - La máquina de escribir. L. Anderson. Dir: Miguel Roa. Typewriter: Alfredo Anaya" The performance is superb with quite a bit of humorous entertainment thrown in. Enjoy it!!

@a2j

Noise error: Got a series of errors on Noise for the last 1 to 2 hours. The first was the usual 504 gateway error. The second was the funky overload error with the guy from the IT crowd on it. (Noise does have a sense of humor). The third was a 500 error which I've neber6seen before. Coincidentally read.cash was also down. All seems ok for now.

The sun plays tricks on us. The cloud behind the hill reflected the evening sun and shone brightly. It made it look like there was a snow capped mountain behind this hill. Awesome illusion when I zoomed in.

A steady shower through the night and a cool morning means that the mist covered hill tops are back. First day of mist after summer. Beautiful sight to behold. It was a very light mist this morning, but hope it will be prettier as the days go on

Are human beings the only animals to pollute the earth? I was looking at other animals and realised that they never manufacture anything and never use anything artificial. They are just happy using what is around for food, shelter and entertainment. That way they don't pollute the planet either. Man used to be that way, till man started making things for making man's own life "better". And that's where pollution started. With the industrial revolution and the need to travel,…

The song "What A Feeling" by Irene Cara from the 1980s movie "Flashdance" is one such song. https://youtu.be/VzALZjoIx0g The dance solo in the movie is terrific and the song continues to be heard across radio stations, advertisements and even in some newer movies. This is a different way to show the weather. A bright morning sun can be blinding as it rises. The light coming in through the windows and reflecting off things in the house creates some interesting photographs. As I was cooking rice in a pressure cooker, the bright sun was reflecting off this metallic surface and nearly blinded me. And yes, it turned out to be a hot day. Quite different from yesterday which started off misty and stayed cool

"Don't Worry Be Happy" by Bobby McFerrin. This was a song that was unique as it was Acapella and all the sounds were created by Bobby and his team naturally with voices. It won a Grammy in the 1980s https://youtu.be/d-diB65scQU It had a positive message and vibe. Paradoxically, a few years later there was a rumour that Bobby committed suicide. This turned out to be an Urban Legend and the singer is still alive. He still does some performances but is nowhere as popular. Also…

What would it be like if the color of ice creams or juices did not match with their intended flavour. Let's say, you had yellow strawberry ice cream, pink orange juice, green chocolate milk shake, etc. Would the brain be tricked and make the taste more confusing? Would we enjoy it less? Would any company be able to manufacture different colors and experiment with people? Photograph: Fruit mocktail that I have made using fresh fruit and shot with a Samsung M31s

Do you report spam calls you get offering loans or bank offers etc to authorities? I have a government authorised app that makes it easy to report these calls and take action against them. The app is not very slick, but it gets the job done. There is a complaint number registered and a follow up message in a few days with details of action taken. Have you ever lodged a complaint against a spammer?

I thought I'll throw in a double regional language acoustic and homely song into this channel. https://youtu.be/EmNVXqeGOdw Chattan (meaning ROCK) is sung in Hindi and Tamil by Prakruthi Angelina and Vihan Damaris. Do you believe that Friday the 13th is a bad omen and will bring bad luck to you? I don't believe that a particular day can be bad just by virtue of a number or a past history or even a religious reference. Everyday has potential and everyday can twist and turn. Good can happen today and so can bad. We can control a few things and there are some things that we cannot control. We try hard to achieve good things everyday. It is left to us to make the best of today. Just…

My new milk frother! This is a very simple device that cost me a little more than 10$. It seems overpriced, but worth a shot. Ever since my Breville coffee machine broke down completely, I have been using a French press for frothing coffee. The mesh was getting frayed and I was looking for a new way to froth milk for my coffee. This was one of the cheaper and more effective devices. Other things for less than 10$ did not seem to be that good. All I need to do put in hot milk…

Sometimes looking out into the morning "weather" makes you ponder about the constant grappling between man and nature. As I looked out of my balcony, I could see nature serenely floeing along with clouds muting the sun and the green, rocky hill just existing beautifully In the foreground is the clutter of houses and building that breaks the monotony with its disarray. A piece of land is getting cleared for a man made park and on the left side you can see a building being…

Will my table rose bloom? It's been a while since my table rose plants bloomed. Even with bright sunlight and some careful watering, they have started to look a littl faded and jaded. These plants are on a pot on the balcony railing and face the morning sun. Today I noticed that they seem to show some buds. I hope they bloom soon. Table roses are supposed to be way to grow as they need good sunlight and some judicious watering in well draining soil. I barely have any luck…

@a2j

Who's the culprit? I had got some table rose cuttings from my aunt and proudly put the pots on my balcony a couple of days ago. Today I found that something had gnawed them off and bitten the tender stems and my plant lay forlorn in pieces in the pot. It may have been a squirrel or maybe even a rat! I'll never know. For now I've put some plastic spikes to deter anything from getting close to the plants and hope that they escape the wrath of any visiting animal friends. Any…

"Top of the World" by The Carpenters. This song was probably released before I was born, but I still heard it and fell in love with it. The Carpenters ran their career with solid vocal power and tunes that were catchy and quickly got embedded in your mind. The WEEKEND is here. But with the right coffee, every day is a weekend. This blend is called "The Weekend" and has 80% Arabica and 20% Ethiopian beans. Ethiopian beans are very expensive here and the blend made the price attractive. The initial bitterness goes away and the aftertaste in the mouth is very coffeelicious! Your weekend has just begun. Mine is…

Nothing makes the weather look more exciting than having a cuppa freshly brewed coffee on the balcony while watching the sun trying to break free from the clouds. Maybe the sun wants a sip of the coffee or maybe the cuppa wants to embrace the warm sun. Maybe it's the beginning of a love affair between the sun and the coffee. And I'm the middle man. Maybe I'll be the one who falls in love - torn between the coffee and the mellow sun. Watch this space!!

Now let me go to the fish market and see what box the fishes are sold in....

"Wiggly worm" That's what my 4 year old daughter calls this. It's the usual IKEA wooden railway track set. We build it using the curved tracks to make it wiggly rather than as a circle or a closed loop track. I'm amazed at how much fun she has making it. She then puts some of her small animal toys etc on it and they all wiggle through our hall like a monster worm! I guess kids have a lot of imagination. Will end the weekend with something to calm your body, mind and soul. This is a video I shot on the beach and has the calming sights and sounds of the beach. I added a couple of gentle meditation songs to it from the music group "I Am They". https://youtu.be/XsvYd9snU1k I find this relaxing especially when I want to experience the calm in the midst of a busy day or when I'm in crisis. Be blessed!

After a few mixes of sunny days, some cloud cover and even one misty morning, we finally ended up with a dark start to the day with the clouds completely covering the skies as far as the eyes could see. The sun didn't stand a chance and we could barely see it behind the clouds. The little bit of sunlight filtering through was the only proof that the sun still existed and had not imploded. There was a little drizzle as we set off to work - a drizzle so light that the micro…

Fruit 'flavoured' chocolate anyone? We got this Kiwi Chocolate as a gift and I was curious. Fruit in chocolate is not unheard of. I've heard of chocolate with strawberry, dry fruits like resins, even mint (although it isn't a fruit). Usually they have small chunks of fruit in them or a flavoured paste/syrup incorporated inside them. This kiwi chocolate had tiny bits of kiwi fruit in it (Don't get kiwi fruit confused with kiwi bird!!!). The main chocolate was a dark chocolate…

A few days ago I had posted that one of the table roses that was not doing well showed some promise and looked like it may flower. https://noise.cash/post/lm3g34wg Well guess what? As most of you mentioned, it finally bloomed with a few flowers yesterday and some of the flowers still stayed healthy today. I put some coffee grounds on it today to see if it could enrich the soil on which it has been planted today. The flowers were directly facing the sun and were a very pretty…

Do you sleep naked at night? I've heard it has benefits and is a healthy option! Unfortunately with kids etc in the same room, it's not an option for me. It's supposee to be better for the skin and also the private areas. And if you have a partner it's definitely a great option. Air your feelings about this sleeping option here.

@a2j

I'll post this song called 'Anjali' from the 1980s from a regional language movie of the same name. The movie was iconic as it was a kids movie that addressed the issue of differently abled children in an era when people never acknowledged the need for special care. It was a very emotionally charged movie that brought out the social, physical and emotional challenges in a situation like this. This song was a major hit and the name Anjali became very famous after this movie.…

Are the CAPTCHAS snooping on us? Does the phone send information about us to the CAPTCHAs that changes the CAPTCHAs that are displayed on websites? This evening, we made soup after many months. After enjoying the hot soup in the evening, I got back online and started browsing on my mobile.... and guess what the first CAPTCHA that popped up was??!! This is too eerie and too coincidental to be funny. I'm sure the crypto sites are watching us..... Be scared... be very…

It started off cloudy and it ends cloudy. The moon was very blurred beneath the layers of heavy clouds in the night sky and the stars didn't stand a chance at twinkling on humans tonight. But I must congratulate the moon. It's just a piece of rock and still managed to reflect the sunlight through the thick cloud cover to show us it still exists!

A drizzle in the morning that goes beyond 7 am is unusual in August, but 2021 has not been the most predictable of years. I guess the unpredictability extends to the weather too. While night rains are common, rain starting off in the early hours of the day and going on after sunrise is a rarity. And to top it all, I had to take my son for his basketball trials at school. So here I am, misting up in the car while he plays in the light rain. Here's a photo of the rain drops on…

@a2j

What are early morning sounds around you? At 6 AM as the sun peaks out, it is mainly the sounds of chirping birds, some tweets and the occasional barking dogs. Since we stay in an apartment complex, soon after that I can hear the faint sounds of cooking. There are utensils clanging, blenders whining and pressure cookers whistling. There's the splash of water as people to about their morning duties. By 7 am, the sound of vehicles starts increasing. Thankfully, the road is not…

@a2j

Well, the rain stopped within an hour and I was still in the car. I picked up my son and realised that the light rain just ended up drizzling rain drops on the car and, as this dries, there's going to be more water spots and dust spots on the car. A more heavier rainfall may have washed a lot of the dust and dirt away! Now I definitely need to clean the car. I wonder if I'm too lazy or to busy for it. This is perfect lazing weather. I wonder if I'll get back home and snooze…

@a2j

Waiting in the car for over half hour at the beginning of the day for my son to finish basketball gave me a chance to quietly contemplate many things. It was relaxing. I had time to breathe and experience calm. The song "Breathe" by Johnny Diaz says the same thing. https://youtu.be/olfFz6vvFYQ "When chaos calls, just breathe" The video I've linked to is not the official video but was made to bring the song to life with a story. This song has brought sanity into my life at…

Recycling and Repurposing: We have a campus coordinator for our apartment complex and one of the amazing things she has done is to add lots of greenery to the campus and some very quaint spots even in barren corners. She loves recycling and there's plenty of repurposed items that beautify the campus. This is one such item. Plastic bottles have become plant holders and also have been arranged to beautify this fence. You will see a row of plastic bottles and other plastic…

What makes cashew nuts 'yummy'.? I opened a jar of cashew nuts and, as usual, munched on a few. There was something nice about the crunchy, firm nuts that is addictive. It's difficult to put a finger on what it tastes like. These were unflavoured and not roasted. Yet, they had a pleasant feel and taste. What makes them yummy? I wonder how you could describe their taste. Of course, you could always roast them, salt them, flavour them or spice them up. But plain cashews? Why…

How do you keep your glasses / spectacles clean, clear and spotless? I need your suggestions and ideas on how you keep your specs clear, clean, dirt free, smudge free, spotless. My glasses get smudged and oily very soon and I have to clean them often. Any practical tips will be helpful. Smudged glasses are annoying and can cause a headache. Since I have powered spectacles, I have to wear them all the time. How do you prevent them from getting smudged and dirty?

Frothy coffee anyone? Adding frothed milk to coffee, adds a lovely, silky texture to your morning cuppa (unless you like your coffee black). This is a close up of how the froth looks in my cup. As you drink it you can actually hear it pop and fizz s little as the microbubbles burst. Maybe this is what adds a special zing when you add frothed milk to coffee. My Breville 800ES used to make amazing froth but is now dead. I used a French press and now have a milk frother that is…

The weather is a divine creation they say. It can change in minutes. It can vary in a few hours. It can be unpredictable everyday. But it can also show a spectrum in the same sky. That's what happened this morning. While the sun appeared to be struggling to penetrate through a clour cover, a few degrees south the sky was clear with thin wispy clouds floating lightly. This leaves a little suspense about what will happen as the day progresses. That suspense is what makes…

And those snooping CAPTCHAs don't stop. A day ago I'd posted about how I made soup for the evening and immediately got shown a CAPTCHA with a soup phrase. I shrugged it off as coincidence. I watched my frail table rose plant show immense resilience as it bloomed out a few bright flowers after months of hibernation. I took some photographs and that inspired my first attempt at poetry. 1980s and 1990s saw a gazilion club style dance numbers that had a thumping beat and were fun numbers. They were not sleazy and you could dance to them even if you never knew how to dance. Some of the dance numbers had rubbish lyrics that meant nothing and repetitive syllables that made them fun to sing along with. There were also bands that came and went with one album and one hit wonders. https://youtu.be/Hy8kmNEo1i8 Scatman was one such artist who went iconic with this…

Basketball under the moonlight: My son and I usually go down to the basketball court at 9 pm and I watch him play a little while I chase my daughter. Hope these late night sessions motivate him to actively pursue sports in school and college. He shot a perfect basket and I managed to catch it on my phone cam. The moon was watching from afar through light clouds. With covid, it has been difficult to get any coaching for kids.

@a2j

We get lots of non-human company during our late night basketball time. There's a cat that watches us warily. Because it occasionally rains, we get lots of insects under the floodlights and the occasional bee. We've also seen a few slugs lose their way and come to the cemented court. Today was unique. We had 2 centipedes that ran cross court. They looked brilliant. Someone told me when I was a kid that these centipedes can bite and are poisonous. So I was seriously scared!…

Do cellphone towers affect the weather or the colors of the sunrise? I can see quite a few towers in the horizon as I gaze at the skies and the clouds and the sun. What is the weirdest thing you've cleaned in a dishwasher? I clean my hair comb regularly. It's apparently not uncommon for people to do this. How do I do this? 1. Remove all the hair from the comb. You do not want hair to be deposited on your utensils or blocking the dishwasher outlets and filters. Rinse it a bit after this. 2. Put it in the cutlery rack 3. Run a regular cycle on your dishwasher b Voila! You now have a clean dry comb. Here are pics of my dirty white comb…

I see this tree every day from the balcony. Paradoxically, it is full of leaves and very green and luscious in summertime. Once the monsoon comes in and the weather starts to cool down, it sheds it's leaves and is quite barren in winter. You can see in the photograph that the leaves are already drying up a little and have started falling. One of the reasons I love to stare at this tree early in the morning is that it is a haven for local birds. Thankfully, I can see birds…

Protecting the table rose plant: A few days ago I had mentioned that a squirrel or rat had nobbled away some of my table rose plants that I had just potted from my aunt's place. This is how I am protecting them now. I use plastic spikes that are meant to ward away birds from nesting on ledges. I've put them around the plants that the squirrels and rats can target. Hope this protects the plants and it will help them survive and give plenty of flowers. This is how those spikes…

What flavoured tea do you like? I like a little ginger flavour in my tea. Ginger tea can be had with a little milk in it. Other flavours like lime or elaichi are better had black. At work I use a dip tea from Tetley which has ginger flavour in it. At home, when we make ginger tea, we use plain tea leaves and add finely shopped ginger pieces to it as it is boiling. The one prepared at home is definitely better than the one made with tea bags. Here's a pic of the ginger tea…

Ever heard a song so bad that it was sooooo good and that went viral for all the wrong reasons, but people still can't get it off their heads. We're talking about Rebecca Black who sang "Friday" when she was barely a teenager. https://youtu.be/kfVsfOSbJY0 The song was heavily critiqued due to the autotuned voice and the lyrics that were so simple that it caused peope to cringe. Well, 10 years after this, Rebecca has evolved into a young woman, a youtuber and a nearly there…

A fruity evening! I'm not very regular with my fruits and the passion to eat them comes in bursts. This evening was one such evening. I started off with dragonfruit. It's not cheap here and one costs close to $1.5. It was almost overripe and I enjoyed peeling and cutting it. There's something oddly satisfying about cutting it in half and peeling away the pink thick skin and watching the white center slip out. The taste was disappointing though on this one. Maybe they are not…

Still stuck on the 1980s which had the best music. A whiff of smoke on the hills. I find this annoying - the smell of smoke in the air as it wafts in from afar through my windows. This time it was easy to find the source. Probably someone burning something at the foot of the hills. Hopefully it will stop soon and the air will be clear. I also wish people will be more responsible with things like burning and pollution.

H Marks the spot. Often when solving CAPTCHAs that involve choosing multiple images, I look to see if the chosen boxes form a pattern. Most of the time it's random and shapeless. But this time, it clearly showed the letter 'H' And the name of the CAPTCHA was H Captcha. It's a coincidence. I promise. Don't get into conspiracy theories. Have you gotten any good patterns when you choose images on a CAPTCHA?

Have a blessed Sunday morning. Graham Kendrick is one of the few artists I have seen live multiple times and I've enjoyed his music from my school / college days. https://youtu.be/RZZzKGvKa0g "Shine" is one of the songs I have loved singing and listening to from my teenages. After a tour, Graham released an Indianised version of the song. It's a lovely fusion of Eastern and Western styles and sounds even better when he sings it live on stage. Enjoy the music!

Back to a bright and super-sunny morning. Here are 2 pics to depict how sunny it is indirectly. One is a shadow on the balcony wall that shows how sunny it is even before 7 am. I'm still having my woke-up-from-bed hair that is messy and all over the place! The second is the sun glaring into the kitchen as I heat some water to make breakfast. I guess 'Show me the weather' need not always be about photos of the sun and skies and clouds and rain. Even showing daily objects can…

@a2j

And the bright sunny morning was certainly a harbinger of a hot sunny day! We were down at a little garden for a while at midday and the trees provided some relief from the heat of the sun. The passing clouds also gave brief periods of respite from the glare of the sun. Along with the photograph here, I've made a short time lapse video that shows the sun, clouds and sky playing with each other while the leaves were watching and waving.…

I rarely post more than once on this channel, but the sudden change in weather has forced me to. After the bright, sunny morning with the hot noontime, I was expecting a warm night. It was quite warm to start off, but out of the blue, there was a sudden rush of wind and all the clouds broke loose with torrential rainfall at 8 pm. It is still raining, although the ferocity has decreased and it is very pleasant. There's a beautiful breeze streaming coolly through the windows…

Don't you hate those CAPTCHAs where it's really difficult if the edge of a hydrant or traffic light is actually going into the next box. Clicking on those boxes is like cutting the wire that could set off the bomb or defuse it in a movie. Here's one such hydrant captcha. This time I don't know if I won as the site crashed when I clicked verify! Seems to be an actual bomb on the website!!

Shadow play! The kids have been using the torch on an old phone in a dark room to do shadow play. They started with weird things using their hands and fingers and have now graduated to the shadow of their toys. The bed is a big mess now and somehow I've got a scary dinosaur in my bedroom now. It's fun and lovely to hear them squealing with laughter. I hope they clean up soon after. Do your kids play like this and make up their own fun times? Share your stories as replies.

What length of socks are you comfortable wearing? I usually wear socks that are just above ankle as that is what is comfortable for me. If I wear formal wear, then I wear socks that are longer and almost till calf. I don't like the socks that are below the ankle and almost sit inside the shoe. I'm a guy, so that makes the choices difference from what a woman would wear. What length socks do you wear and what influences it? Picture: from Pixabay

Is Facebook snooping on me? Or is it the toy stores? Or is it the Taliban? It's all mixed up. I was scrolling through my facebook feed and, not surprisingly, there were several posts and links related to the events in Afghanistan. Pretty overwhelming to face the reality there right now. But what stopped me scrolling was a toy store ad from Hamleys. Of all the things, the store advertised a toy machine gun on Facebook right inbetwen those posts about Afghanistan and the…

Is Monday anyone's favorite day of the week? I doubt it. The best thing about Mondays is that a lovely band called Bangles sang about it in a song called "Manic Monday". https://youtu.be/SsmVgoXDq2w The Bangles had a unique sound and were an all girl band that sang pop to rock with some ballads thrown in. Manic Monday and Walk Like An Egyptian were their cult hits from the 1980s and 1990s. So enjoy your boring Monday with this song that just elaborates that Mondays are…

Why is this called a desert Rose? It can grow in a pot and does not look like a rose. Maybe the red color bears some resemblance to the red shades of a rose. Does it grow in a desert only? Are human beings the only animals to cook their food? Animals, except some domestic animals, eat their food raw - be it herbivores or carnivores. The photograph is a random pic of me cooking noodles.

I really can't remember how I got introduced to Harry Belafonte. He was a combination of singing talent and entertainment. His songs were both fun and funny and it left you wondering where on earth he got those lyrics from! Be it love songs or silly songs - you always ended up singing along . I spent my 1980s in school. And today I relived one of those school moments with my son. He got his first fountain pen as a gift. He was keen to try it and today I got some fountain pen ink from the store. And guess what? It was the exact same brand of ink I used throughout my school. A brand called Bril. The logo was the same and the bottle shape was very similar to what I remember it as. The same shade of yellow background on the label too! Memories of me filling and…

Moonlight basketball with my son again! This time there was more than one competition. 1. The moon vs the floodlight battle. The floodlight may have won the battle in lighting the basketball court, but the moon won the war in lighting the night. 2. The ball vs the ring. This time the ball lost as it didn't sink into the ring. But the war rages on - the ball slipping into the ring at times, bouncing off the rim at times, missing it at times. Moonlight basketball is exciting!

What is the best way to remove seeds from watermelons? I stick to the usual way of cutting them into slices and then removing the seeds. After this I chop them into cubes and remove whatever seeds I can still see. I still end up with a few seeds when I eat the watermelon which I spit out. Is there an easier or more effective way of removing the seeds? Photo: The watermelon I cut a few days ago shot with my Samsung M31S

Is the sun smoking out the clouds into the sky? Those were my thoughts this morning as I watched the cloud design look like the sun was spewing them out from within itself. It's hard to believe that the sun is actually 1000s of km away from the earth and the clouds; and the sky is actually a play of lights. I wonder if the sun actually can see the clouds which are probably specks of white and grey in its eyesight.

Can a white flower actually look beautiful. We all celebrate the vibrant colors and shades of flowers. But sometimes we realise that the beauty is beyond those pretty colors. This white table rose looks so petite and fragile and exudes a beauty so vibrant sans the colors. It holds itself proudly surrounded by its colored siblings and adds to the beauty of the plants. The delicate patterns and shapes of its petals are appealing to the human eye and sould. Do you like white…

A Treetop Moon? The distances merge and the clouds, moon and the tree tops seem to all be close to each other on this fairly clear night. The moon seems to be sitting atop the tree top and getting ready to jump into the clouds for a good night's rest. The reality is far from that though - as the trees, the clouds and the moon are thousands of kilometres away from each other. But they do spawn some imagination on a clear warm night.

Where is the sun? This panaroma shot covers every part of the sky I can see from my balcony which faces East. It's 6.30 am. It's quite bright. But I can't see the sun. Is it still hiding behind the mountains? That's unusual at this time! Or is the cloud cover just too thick for it to be seen? Or is it lost? Or has it stopped burning? It's a cool morning. Sun - where are you? The second photo is just a straightforward shot that shows higher skies. Still.... No sun!

More moonlit basketball and, this time, more competition. We had students playing an energizing, fast paced basketball game on half court tonight. The sights and sounds of them playing were thrilling. They were quite good and the energy was infective. My son had half court to himself and was lazily trying to dribble and shoot. He seems so tiny! Can you even spot him? The moon was behind me and the floodlights outshone the moon temporarily!

How do I clean up the soleplate of my iron box. I use my iron to press the clothes I wear often. Through the years it has gotten this dark deposit on the sole plate. It's probably dirt and muck and fibres stuck to the surface. The heat has literally made it part of the sole plate. JungleTV is on choppy waters over the last 24 hours. Most of the time, it's been videos with earnings less than 0.10 ban per video and occasional spurts of higher earnings where it goes up to 0.50 ban. I may have missed periods when higher value videos were played . The queue has been empty more often than prior. Butnits still interesting as you can never predict what videos will be playing! 'bye life' That was what I thought the CAPTCHA said. I was surfing crypto PTCs and had just visited a site that promised to help me buy crypto with my credit card. So 'BYE LIFE' seemed to be appropriate for what I was doing. A closer look showed that the CAPTCHA was probably 'love life' which was .... er.... very different from my original line of thinking. I chose 'love life' over 'bye life' and was richer by a fraction of a cent!

This little flower is from a potted plant in my balcony. The flowers used to be a little bigger when it started, but now they are smaller. Maybe I need to enrich the soil a littl bit more. I tried to focus on the flowers but ended up focussing on the ant and the water droplets on the leaf. But that just seems to enhance the overall appeal of the photograph and made it more wholesome. What do you think? PS: If one of you could tell me the name for this flower, I will be…

Where is the sun? (Part 2). Part 1 of my post was to do with sunrise and is here - https://noise.cash/post/l2v2xjwg It's now dusk and sunset time. Is the sun still missing? The cloud cover is different from the morning. There is some clearing lower down on the horizon. The sun is actually on the other side of the sky to the west. But it throws it's brilliant colors across to the east and makes the clouds glow with a pretty shade of orange. The light is enough proof that the…

A cloudy start, colorful evening and then the night. There were not much clouds and the moon had disappeared beyond the horizon. In the sky was this lone bright spot. You can see it on the top left. It looks like it was looking for company. Was it a planet or was it a star? Or was it aliens scouting Planet Earth? I figured out that it was either Jupiter or Saturn. I couldn't decide between the two. What is it?

What flower is this? You can see the buds in the background. It's got a very unique design and shape. I don't know it's name. But the best thing about flowers is that you can enjoy their beauty even without knowing their name or disturbing them. They don't seem to have any ego or pride! Do you know which flower this is?

Jumbo sized Amazon packaging again. This time it was for a 2 litre fabric conditioner liquid pouch. The box in which it came was more than 4 times the size of the pouch. You can see it there in the attached photograph. And there was an insane amount of paper packaging to pad the pouch. I felt like I'd cut down a whole tree to get this. Very guilty. And to top it all, the pouch had leaked a little. So all the excessive packaging was not very protective!! Amazon... oh ...…

Caught in a burst of rain! I have a late night, short stint at work today. And boy! Did it pour - just when I was getting ready to leave. There was lightning galore and loud claps of thunder at 10 pm. It's a short drive of less than 2 km. The roads were already getting ready to flood and my windshield wipers were working overtime to keep me safe in the pouring rain. Maybe my car got a free carwash too. It's toned down a little now and I hope to get back home soon safe.

Today I had to drive through an outpour of rain at night and I could barely see through the windshield as the rain pounded on the car and the wipers were working overtime. I could barely see the road in front of me. As I do some fauceting now, guess what the CAPTCHA is telling me?!! I can see!! The second picture is through the windscreen of my car as I drove through the rain.

Lost cat at midnight? I came back home from the short, late-night work stint. A bit rainy, but it was an uneventful drive back home. I decided to take the stairs up 5 floors. And guess who I see looking eerie and lost. It's Mr. Cat. He's a stray cat and does not belong to anyone, but loiters around our campus. He gave me an evil grin as if I were the intruder. Maybe I was! We said quiet goodbyes and I went home. He continued to enjoy his midnight escapade!

Did the sky fall down? After the rainfall overnight, there were lots of puddles everywhere. As I gazed out of the balcony I felt like bits of sky had fallen down to earth as the puddles reflected the morning skies and clouds. They day that the sky falling down is catastrophic. Looking at it today it may not be a bad thing. Maybe puddles reflecting the sky is the way nature gets a little bit of heaven down to earth.

What do I do with the coffee grounds after I brew my cuppa every morning. The photograph shows the coffee 'puck' on my Aeropress at the end of coffee making. It's basically coffee grounds that have already had most of it's coffee extracted. Apparently it is good for plant, so I put them in my pots once in a while. Is there any other way I can use them rather then chuck them into the recycle bin? #Coffee

Hopefully waiting. This table rose bud on my balcony was not yet blooming this morning. It was a cloudy day and the sun was not able to penetrate well through the thick cloud cover. Yet the bud waited. It did not shrivel and close itslef, but brought itself to the cusp of blooming and stayed ready. I'm sure that at the first sight of the sun breaking through the clouds it will bloom happily and show it's best. That's hope and patience depicted by nature on a gloomy, cloudy…

Virtual choirs have become a rage ever since the pandemic started. But this guy (David Wesley) has been doing it for a decade now. The best part is that he is a one man virtual choir! An emergency nurse by profession, his vocal and mixing skills helped him record multiple unique rendering of Christian songs on YouTube. He now has diversified into massive international virtual choirs with 100s of vocalists! 'Amazing Grace' is one of his earlier one-man choir numbers that has…

What's that eerie glow behind the hills? I took this photograph at midnight last night as I was climbing up the stairs to get home. It was drizzling, but very quiet otherwise. The area behind the hill seems to have a glow. My mind wandered to aliens, UFOs, natural phenomenon and some conspiracy theories. But I never explored my thoughts or the hills. I'd better bring that mind of mine under control and think of reality!!

Got the weirdest type of CAPTCHA today. I've never seen it before. It presents a picture of a room or space and we're supposed to figure out if it is empty or occupied. You need to do it for 3 images. Seems simple, but I marked all 3 right and it daid I was wrong and I had to do another CAPTCHA to proceed. Am I a bot??!! Have you ever faced this CAPTCHA before?

Are midnight snacks unhealthy? It's close to midnight and I was just ransacking the kitchen a while ago to satisfy a little craving to munch on a snack. Should I choose something healthy or unhealthy? Is it actually possible to have a healthy midnight snack? The fruits were over and I resisted the chocolates. I finally settled on some almonds and they were good. Did I do something healthy or unhealthy? What do you feel? Picture shot on my Samsung M31S. Tried the macro mode -…

Waiting at the break of dawn for the sun. It's another cloudy day and the overnight rains have made the weather cool. These 3 potted plants in the picture seem to be patiently looking for and waiting for the sun. I wonder what plants think as they see the weather view everyday from their fixed position. Do they get excited when it rains? Do they love the sun better than the rains? Do they even know what the moon is? All these abstract thoughts without answers in my mind to…

Finally a jackpot at JungleTV. I'd just logged in this morning and after a couple of videos, I realised that the last video paid out 5000 BAN to the watchers. That gave me 33 BAN, which is the highest payout I've ever received. I already had about 9 BAN waiting and so about 42 BAN popped into by Banano Vault. I guess I was lucky to be there when it happened! Did any of you catch this jacpot? Or any jackpot in the past?

Do you use Noise on dark mode or light mode? I use it in dark mode only as it is less glaring on the eye. I find it more comfortable to browse, especially at night. To switch between the modes you can use the downward arrow on the top right of the menu bar to switch with just a click or tap. I've also enabled dark mode on most apps and websites that I use. Do you prefer dark or light mode? I've put screenshots of the modes to compare and also a little screenshot to show how…
