Protecting the table rose plant: A few days ago I had mentioned that a squirrel or rat had nobbled away some of my table rose plants that I had just potted from my aunt's place. This is how I am protecting them now. I use plastic spikes that are meant to ward away birds from nesting on ledges. I've put them around the plants that the squirrels and rats can target. Hope this protects the plants and it will help them survive and give plenty of flowers. This is how those spikes look.
