We get lots of non-human company during our late night basketball time. There's a cat that watches us warily. Because it occasionally rains, we get lots of insects under the floodlights and the occasional bee. We've also seen a few slugs lose their way and come to the cemented court. Today was unique. We had 2 centipedes that ran cross court. They looked brilliant. Someone told me when I was a kid that these centipedes can bite and are poisonous. So I was seriously scared! It was uneventful though and they covered their cross court endeavour in a short while and disappeared into the dark.
