Such a joyous day
I was inactive yesterday. But the reason now is not as sad as it was usually.
I was missing in action because it was my youngest sister's birthday, and we celebrated it as a family.
We actually had a lot of plan leading up to her birthday. My favorite plan was to go to Enchanted Kingdom. But that plan did not come to fruition because of our parents.
They are not fond of rides so they feel that it would be a waste of money if the six of us since our parents will just be walking around there.
With that plan scratched and burned, we were back at square one. We have a lot of things we wanted to do, well mostly me.
I suggested going to a buffet since it has been a while since we last ate at an eat-all-you-can place but the birthday girl did not like this idea at all. So it was another idea thrown at the bin.
The result
The day finally came and we celebrated it by going at a place near our home.
Yeah, in our planning stage we wanted to go out of town but some stuff happened and we decided to just stay near our place.
We decided to go at a place that offers private videoke rooms.
Rooms 498
The place we went to is called Room 498. It offers variety of things such as an event place for celebrations like debut, weddings, etc.
It also offers rooms for accomodations, kinda like a hotel but not quite.
And most importantly it offers entertainment rooms also known as videoke rooms.
Here we shall celebrate
We arrived there a little bit after lunch at around 2PM. The lady we talked to explained that the videoke rooms are free but we have to avail foods.
We had to pay P1000 for the deposit but it is refundable at checkout as long as we did not break anything. The foods ranged from P3000 to P5000 depending on the amount of persons.
But let us not yet talk about the foods in detail as of yet. Let us see what the rooms look like first.
This is what one side of the room looked like. There is a small disco lights there and it really sets the mood for a celebration. The room also has its own sink, comfort room, and shower room.
It was a plus point for me since I went to two videoke rooms before (and they were more expensive) but there are no comfort rooms in the rooms itself. So if one has to go to the cr, we face some interruption since the room is exposed to the outside room for a few minutes.
There was only 1 microphone there though. But the sound system is good. The choice of songs are also great.
You know, I am not fond of karaoke because I have a hard time finding songs that I like to sing because most songbooks are composed of old songs.
But the songbook at Rooms 498 has a lot of songs that I liked. So I had a really great time singing.
The songs I sang was by Olivia Rodrigo, and Taylor Swift. I also sang a song by Avril Lavigne.
My older sister kept telling me that my voice is beautiful since I kept singing songs with high notes and my vouce does not waver.
The foods
We ordered food worth P4000. It was advertised that it is for up to 12 persons. We were only six there but it was the only available option so we just availed it.
I forgot exactly what items on the menu we ordered. But we ordered all the chicken options, some seafood options, a pancit, and two iced tea towers.
Here are the foods on the lon table there. As you can see the servings are not that large but definitely enough to feed six people.
These two plates had no place t the long table so it was served at the table we had in front of the videoke.
And here are the iced tea, and red iced tea towers along with the plates, glasses, and utensils.
The foods are ordinary. It was not suoer tasty other than the pancit. But it is still filling.
Closing words
I had a really great time yesterday and it was a nice experience to have. After all, I managed to not ruin the mood despite mt fear of it.
I definitely want to go back there but not until I find out what their new rates are.
We were told that this is the last month when the rooms would be free. Starting next month, the room has to be paid for as well as the food.
