Share ko po ang lunch namin today. I made some malunggay soup and then my daughter baked the pork belly and ribs. I initially boiled the pork belly and ribs to soften the meat before baking. Ang dami ko po kanin nakain especially may sabaw ng malunggay. Iba na pag may tanim po tayo na malunggay sa bakuran. Monday is one of our garbage collection days. I want to honor our Community Workers in charged with garbage collection under the Solid Waste Management Division of our Barangay. As I was scrolling noise earlier I came across champorado posted by @Etselec23. I was inspired to cook champorado too! I still have malagkit rice, tableya and bottled "tuyo" for appetizer . After a few minutes toiling in my kitchen, here comes my champorado! Come , kain po tayo. I really liked champorado for breakfast. I finished one bowl already. Our pet dog Tenshi. I am in charged with feeding Tenshi so after dinner, I got some beef for him but sad to say there is no more rice left so his dinner is all meat. Good noon! Have you eaten lunch already? I'm finally done cooking bihon guisado. We enjoyed eating it. My daughters also ordered fried lumpia. It is quite a big vegetable lumpia. I took a shot comparing it with a palm. I thought I could finish 2 or 3 of these lumpia but I only finished 1, haha. I am so full with bihon guisado and lumpia as our lunch. This morning when I checked the value of BCH, it reached more than Php51,000 so I tried converting 0.0138 BCH to peso. Note that last April 26th, I bought Php 500 worth of BCH. Now that Php500 became Php694.96. I gained little , Php 194.96 , with this first trial of my trade. I am amazed! I will wait again when BCH value falls and I will buy again and fo another trade. Early this morning, a fish vendor passed by the house and timely that I was at the gate. I found some good fish they call "mamsa" and bought a pack. I had the fish head made tinola with malunggay. I found some new life in the garden today. The green onion cuttings which I planted are beginning to grow. Hope this will grow successfully because I noticed that in my previous trials, the onions just die. The ube cuttings I planted have sprouted too! My gray hair is getting many and growing so I decided to have a DIY hair coloring. I started coloring my hair by myself and then requested my youngest daughter to check if I missed some white hair. Hello ! We ate an early dinner. I cooked monggo soup and fried fish. I boiled the monggo seeds this morning with the intention that I will serve it for lunch. Since we did not eat dinner due to our late lunch, we decided to have dessert. My daughter bought a Burnt Basque Cheese Cake from Crimson Resort as a late celebration for her hubby's birthday. As I was walking along the shore, these varied footprints welcomed me. I can see that many had walked here. They were of different sizes and build based on the markings they left. Let me share this beautiful bougainvillea flowers to brighten your day. We call this flower "bombil" in our local dialect. It's a thorny plant with a variety of colors for its flowers. I was waiting for the fish vendor to pass by but I saw an egg vendor. Since my egg supply is almost gone, bought 1 tray with 30 pieces of eggs on it. I hope this will last longer for our supply. I always like to have ready eggs because anytime we got hungry, it is easy to cook 🥚 🍳 🥚 . Eggs are also healthy even those on diet prefer to eat eggs.

When I went to our backyard, I saw that there's young camote (sweet potato) leaves or talbos ng camote growing so I got my scissors and cut some leaves. I will sauté this camote leaves with tomatoes, onions and garlic. Now I have greens for lunch. Kumakain po ba kayo ng talbos ng camote? Camote leaves are high in iron , Folic acid, Vitamin A, Vitamin K, B-Carotene, B6, Thiamine, Niacin, Zinc, Riboflavin, Calcium, and Protein. I will start cooking now. See you in a bit.

Look at the hot shining rays from the sun. It is so bright and glaring. It's 33°C but feels like 40°C here in our city. When you need to go out please put on a cap or use an umbrella to cover yourself from the scorching heat of the sun. ☀️ Drink lots of water to hydrate yourself. 🥵 As much as possible, limit your stay outdoors under the heat of the sun to avoid sun burn and dehydration. As I was doing my regular morning routine, again taking some free Vitamin D from the sunlight 🌞 , this beautiful butterfly was hopping on the pink flowers. This Panama rose plant (as they call it) has been attracting insects like bees and butterflies and even the spiders have made their web nearby. After my morning prayers, I heard a vendor shouting "puto " so I hurriedly went outside but there's no one. I walked a little farther to the corner and saw a guy in motorcycle stopped because a neighbor bought some. I called out to the vendor and informed him that I'm buying. This is what I cooked for lunch. Fried fish with tausi. I have to make this menu whenever I have fish because my house mates don't like fish so much. They are meat eaters. I have a garden visitor today. Can you see who's the visitor? Yes, It's Mr 🐝! It's been going around for quite a while and finally it landed on this pink flower. Glad I was able to take a shot. Whenever I do my cooking and I use green onions, I reserved about an inch of the part with some roots to be planted. Here are some of the green onions I have planted. I hope it will grow healthy and tall. I really have a problem growing green onions but one of my friends here at noise told me to reduce the water in my onions. Let's do some gardening work. I am saving my lemongrass or tanglad. It has dried up and old already so I need to transplant it. Lemongrass or tanglad is a very useful herb. Our daily lives are full of routines. As a mother , even though my daughters are all grown ups, I still do my regular routine. Early this morning I bought some fish and have it fried for lunch. 5/16/21 These are young ube or purple yams which grew on pots ready to be transferred to the ground. It has a heart shaped leaves. Ube plant is a fast growing vine. The plant I showed here has been planted for about a month and half already. Normally it takes about 10 months for the ube tubers to be ready for harvest. Got so hungry after doing laundry. Good my daughter made macaroni and cheese with bacon. Let's eat lunch. I also made a cup of turmeric tea. My sister-in-law gave us some boxes of mac and cheese. The first time we cooked it, we just followed the instructions written on the box. Adding bacon to macaroni and cheese made it more flavorful and filling. We had dinner earlier. I bought chicken inasal and made fried garlic rice. A simple meal but when shared together with the family, it becomes a happy meal. We already ran out of meat supply in our freezer so I requested my daughter to order food. We got lucky because when she confirmed the order she got a 20% discount. We just saved a few pesos. I heard the sirens signal for curfew here in our city. It sounded at 10:30pm. We had this curfew since the surge of Covid-19 cases in the city. Having curfew has its advantages and disadvantages. Homemade Ube Halaya I'm a big fan of ube halaya so I made some today. The ube I used came from the ube I harvested in my garden last March. I had it cooked already, mashed and frozen. I only had about 600 grams of cooked ube. I checked our panty for available ingredients and found Alpine evaporated milk. I also got very little condensed milk inside the refrigerator so I added it.
