It's been four months that our sari-sari store business was opened, thankfully until now it is still alive and kicking not facing bankruptcy yet. Hopefully that'll not happen, as I don't want my mother to be back working in other people again.
So far, the store is still good and has a lot of stock whenever my mother had her grocery to refill those sold items. There are several people who have credit in our store but as much as possible we try to minimize it, so we won't suffer if all of them don't pay their debt. Usually creditor in our store are my mother's relatives which is very annoying because even if their house is far from our house they'll just come para lang mangutang, kahit hindi naman sila bumibili samin. It's very annoying and it feels like because we are relatives it's our obligation na pautiangin sila nakakaumay.
Okay enough for the rant, I just don't have solid topic today, I mean I have draft but I'm kinda tired to finish it..so I'll just write in freestyle about what we have done today.
We went to grocery today to get some stocks for refilling purposes. My lil girl is happily posing behind her grandma. Sometimes when her grandma goes to grocery she'll tag along even if I don't go with them especially if I am tired and lack of sleep. This is something she can't do when we are in my in-laws place. Her grandma in there have her sari-sari store too but she's too old to handle lil girl naughtiness and considering in CDO it is more prone to COVID-19 because it is a city..
Someone is really happy when we go out because she can buy snacks and anything she likes to pick, but of course I don't let her buy everything she wants. I always say that it's too pricey and that we can't afford it whenever she picked a lot of stuff already. One thing I like with my daughter is that when I said it's too pricey she understands and don't insist what she wants, she'll just said “let's just but it mama when we have lots of money” lol.
Mother bought some rice, beverage and soft drinks.. we are selling retail of rice, so we bought 1 sack again even if we still have some rice left. Rice per kilo now also increasing, last time our 1 kilo rice is only 40 pesos or $.76 but now it's $.86 because prices of all goods now are increasing due to inflation. We bought the 50 kilos at 1900 pesos or $36.60 so we will have 6php gains in every 1 kilo.
While beverage and soft drinks I think already increased last time, I'm not so sure since I don't go with mother when she had grocery most of the time but I'm sure all goods now are really increasing a lot in price.
When we reached home, mother was very busy displaying stocks. Our store is very little but it is filled with stocks, and we almost poured out 30,000 PHP capital on it or $600.. opening business now is very costly because the prices of all goods are pricey. Way back, with 15,000PHP capital you can buy stuff as many as the 30,000PHP we have right now.
Everything is costly now, so we should spend money wisely to survive our daily needs because hyperinflation is very hyper now lol. I don't even get even a single cents of profit from our store because I gave everything to my mother, hopefully when I get back to CDO she'll manage the store same as I was here. I don't want that my efforts will be in vain.
Btw, I just had this topic constructed after Jeaneth ask me at noise how's our little store going, so I just share it a bit broader in here. You might say, “who cares?” haha. SKL, stay happy friend despite of the bear market.
Okay, that's all I have to say for now. Have a nice day and thank you for reading!
