My Turn Hello friends and readers! I hope all is well with everyone. I have been ok trying to balance things, feel much like a juggler latey. Today I give to you my answers from the questions and the writing topics I had in my recent #readcashrain event. I'll also give you some of the stats from the event. Lastly, I will give some tidbits on what my aim is for a third one. Let's get to it shall we? What would you say is the best thing that happened in your life so far? This is an easy one for me to answer. Without a doubt it's becoming a father. So much changed that evening day when my son was born. It was a change that shifted many of my priorities and I wouldn't change anything about it. A blessing from above for sure. This is one question but he fits into one of the topics I gave everyone the opportunity to write about as well, **"Your Best Day Ever."** I remember his first cry ever in this world. My heart opened immediately on his arrival and he has a place in it forever. A feeling that is hard to sum up but I can say, "Oh my God, thank you so much for the best blessing ever!!" From the very first day until his first car ride home, I remember everything so well. How amazing it is to have a piece of you walking this earth while you witness it. His first car ride, was slow and gentle because we had this perfect imagine of ourselves in the back seat. So many vehicles passed us as we probably drove well under the speed limit 😂 What are some of your favorite things (i.e. travel vacations, food, hobbies, etc)? I'm like many of you when it comes to traveling, I love it. I have been to some other countries and that was due to serving in the military. Every summer(last 5 years) due to my Son's basketball adventures I travel via car to various cities within the 350 mile radius of my place. They are short, 2 or 3 days, but usually we get time to check out the sites. I hope to be a world traveler again soon. As far as food I love many different cuisines. Many things satisfy my taste buds well 🤣 Some of my favorites include: Filipino, Italian, Mexican, Chinese, and German. There's more because I like a little of everything. Oh hobbies I have some. Many of you know my passion for fishing 🎣. I can spend many hours in a single day doing this if I find the time. I also like wood working, my favorite is to utilize re-purpose wood. I have made benches, tables, racks, and many other things. I'm not a professional carpenter but I do somethings that others don't. Something you haven't done but want to There is a bucket list of things I want to do but I'll share just one thing. I mentioned it in the event comments a few times. It may seem little and kind of surprising but I have never experienced being up and close to the ocean. I am currently,"land locked" which means I'm so far inland from any ocean. I have seen oceans from up above in an airplane or from distances on land. So I want to feel the ocean breeze, hear it's sounds, and feel the salt water on my skin. Someone who has meant the most to you in your life so far. I have to say this person is my father. I give a lot of credit to him for the person I am today. He passed away at young age of 51 and I was only 15 at that time. I learned a lot just by witnessing the things he did. Mostly the good but also the bad. He was a very humble type guy who loved to help those in need. I learned and tried to shape myself into that type of person. He also had a high driven work ethic which I also probably adopted. The bad things I took away were the heavy drinking and smoking that were much part of his shortened life. Sure I took part in drinking when I was much younger but I didn't forget what affect it had on my father. Also I had my own set backs which caused me to stop. Readcashrain II This was a big surprise for me. I never thought it would gardner 35o plus comments and would be viewed by over 100 especially with the recent inactivity here. The total BCH moved in this event was $ 42.84. I'm also pleased to see that 14 people so far have decided to write an article on one of the bonus topics. I have saved them all and will upvote them all on the deadline, 26 January. I think for the next one I will attempt one via an article. I did see a few people having issues finding the short post after the initial push. Also it will be easier for people that aren't subscribed to me to be able to participate. Well I'm very happy many had fun with the event. I feel like this can still be better. I have wanted to do a Mega Readcashrain event where there are multiple people raining from above. How awesome would that be? So here it is I strive for that and there won't be a third one until someone is willing to partner up with me. I will not ask anybody in particular but if interested hit me up in noise.app with a DM. Ending Thoughts What did everyone think of this second edition? Better or worse? It did get a lot more attention than the first installment. So far I really like the bonus articles I have read and I thank each one of you for taking the time to do it. Well that's all I have folks. Take care and be safe. Hello Noise Mates!! Oh what an incredible busy weekend. I worked Friday and got off to drive two hours to see one of my Son's basketball games. I got home just before midnight. I actually set my alarm for 4 a.m. but didn't use it because I got up on my own around 3:30. First thing I did was get some coffee. Got ready and was out the door just before 5 a.m. I started my #readcashrain event than I started driving car and noticed something wasn't right. I stopped looked and noticed I had a flat tire. I proceeded to the nearest gas station which wasn't far. I first tried to see if it would take air and it wouldn't. Next thing I did was get the spare and tools from my car truck. Did my thing but i got to a stopping point because the rim was stuck to the axle. Long story but I had to call for help and got tire off with aid of plywood and a sledge hammer. Once spare was on I went to the only place that was open that could work on tires. It was around 7 am I didn't leave there until around 10:00 a m. I get back home to take my son to his high school so they can go over assignments for a game there playing that night. I decided to just stay in parking lot because I knew it wouldn't be that long. I was feeling tired and decided to pick up lunch for everyone, I didn't feel like cooking. Once everyone was done eating everyone proceeded to go take a nap except me 😂 Once son was up I had to drop him off at high school again. Luckily game was in the local area. Game was at 6:30 and we were on the way home at about 8 p.m. Since the game had a lot of media outlets there I stayed up to see if he made the ten o'clock news. He did and got his ten seconds of fame getting his name mentioned making a lay up. I got to bed around 11:00. Well up today at 6:30 to get some delivery driving in. Now here I am to call it a short day and go home to eat and hopefully get to bed early tonight. I have no more energy, I'm pooped 😂 That's it folks. Take care and be safe. Love you all ❤️

@Coolmidwestguy

Hello Noise Mates!! So yesterday involved getting off work early due to a blizzard coming. We were told to grab our work laptops and telework the rest of our shift at home. Today I was told to stay at home and telework the whole shift. We were suppose to get 10 inches of snow but what happened intially was rain, sleet, and frozen rain. Snow didn't happen until well after midnight. I was kind of shocked to stay at home because we only got about an inch of snow. Well it saved gas going to and from work. Also got somethings done around the house because my email was not all that busy. Well that is my day so far nothing to exciting. Take care, be safe, and enjoy the weekend ahead. Love you all ❤️

@Coolmidwestguy

Movie Questions For today's article I give you some questions I will answer about movies. Same thing with all prompts if you want to use them mention me and link my article with yours. I think this is the first time I have done back to back prompt articles. Why? I just want to make it easier for those who may be drawing blanks for what to write about next :) What is your favorite type of movie? I have two types I like. I like comedies and action movies. A movie with both is icing on the cake for me. What is your least favorite type of movie? I have to go with horror movies. A lot of the time they just don't seem realistic to me. I can do without all the blood and guts. Would you rather watch a movie in the theater or at home? I have to go with watch in theater. The experience is just better in my opinion. The screen is bigger and the sound is louder. The sound comes from all around in the form of surround sound. Also it seems popcorn is always better at the theater. Not that watching a movie at home doesn't have it's advantages it does. The obvious reason is it's a lot cheeper. I like how you can basically watch it in any body position. You can't lay down on your side or in your bed at theater. Also you can't pause the movie if you need to get away from the screen for a moment. Even with these advantages I still like the experience at the movie theater better. Now a fact here I haven't been to a movie theater in like 5 years. If you go to the movie theater where do you prefer to sit if given the choice? For me it's all all about sitting way at the top as far back as possible. I also like to be at the end of the aisle so I don't have someone next to me on both sides. Who is your favorite actor/actress? I really don't have a favorite one. There are several I like and try to watch. Some I enjoy watching include: Tom Hanks, Adam Sandler, George Clooney, Will Smith, Matthew McConaughey, Nicolas Cage, Ben Stiller, Jim Carrey, Russell Crowe, Jennifer Aniston, Sandra Bullock, Julia Roberts, Lucy Liu, Melissa McCarthy, Demi Moore, Megan Fox and several others. I watch several types of movies and that's probably why I have a long list of actors and actresses I enjoy watching. What is your favorite movie? It just seems like my favorite movie continuously changes all the time. Right now I can't list just one movie as my favorite. Some comedies I like include: Yes Man, Coming to America, American Pie, Superbad, Waterboy, and several others. Some action films include: Independence Day, The Fugitive, Braveheart, Transformers, The Patriot, Gladiator, Kingsman, John Wick, Saving Private Ryan, and many others. Just writing out the movie titles above many others have poppef in my head, hehe. I like older movies as well because some kind of bring back memories. Ask me 5 years from now what my favorite movies are and the list above will be much different. Are there any movie experiences you miss? Yes, there are a couple. One is going to the movies with a group of friends. Let's face it we get older and our lives change. Also I think if a bunch of middle aged people went together to the movies that would appear a little strange. I miss the times when a group of 10 or more of us went to the movies together. Another experience I miss is going to a drive-in movie. For those who don't know what I'm talking about I'll explain. A drive in movie is basically an outdoor movie where you watch the movie from your vehicle. You park in a spot and place a speaker that's usually hung on a pole into your vehicle. They use to be pretty popular, now they are a thing of the past. Let me tell you a little bit about the experience. They would open just after the sun set. Usually you got to watch two or three movies with one purchase. I loved how you could bring your own food and drinks. There was no sitting next to strangers and you didn't have to worry about keeping quiet whispering to someone who was with you. Also the screens at those drive-in theaters were much bigger than a typical movie theater. Sometimes the windows fogged up in your vehicle, maybe from breathing to hard from the excitement of the movie or some other activity 🤫 😂 Final thoughts I hope you liked this prompt. I figured I would try to help some of the community again with something to write about. Please share some of your thoughts about your movie experiences below in the comments if you don't decide to use the prompt for an article. Take care and be safe. Read Questions & Readcashrain Announcement Hello everybody I hope all is well for everyone. I'm getting by this week as it has been a busy one so far. I had the weirdest feeling on Tuesday. When the work day ended for me I felt like the next day was going to be Friday. Fortunately those feelings went away as I got up to start my day today. For today's article I'm going to do another question prompt. It will simply be questions about read.cash. Please feel free to recycle them if you want to utilize in a future article. I just ask that you link my article with yours and mention me in your article so I can visit yours. The last thing I'll do is talk a little bit about my next readcashrain event. What are your favorite things about being on this platform? The following things are staples for me: reading, engaging, and building new relationships. Just simply reading gives me the benefit of learning something. I might not learn everytime I read an article but there have been several articles that have given me more knowledge. There's been times when I have researched more on the topic or in some cases I have tested them out. Engaging is one of my favorite activities. I might not do it on every article I read. I'm pretty close to 100% on replying to my comments It does give the author a sense of accomplishment that someone took the time to read their articles. Of course it gives them a little motivation for them to continue writing. Paired up with a little upvote certainly helps as well :) Building friendships is more or less gained from engaging with others. The more we do it with one another the more likely we build a sort of friendship bond or respect for one another. It's also leads to knowing additional things about one another. I am very grateful for the many people I have met on this platform. Is there anything you wish you could do more here? My wish is to write more articles. When I first started here I was consistently putting out articles frequently. I got to a point where I couldn't maintain that though. After a month or so my focus turned into reading. Now that the notification bell has been subdued a lot I have been hustling a bit more in my real life. Not only work, but I have my son's basketball schedule to attend with, which is usually two games a week, sometimes 3. I'm hopeful that in March maybe I will get back to 3 or 4 articles a week. We shall see 😊 I do like to write, it's a good distraction for me and I definitely want to improve on it. You can't get better at something without repetition. Are there anything you would like to see your fellow authors do more of here? I'd say the best thing anybody can do right now is go to the home screen and see who's still writing. Now is the time we should try to connect to anybody else that may not be in our circles. I'm not saying to add everyone but if you find interesting content than read, comment, upvote and subscribe. Let's be one big happy family :) Other than that the only other thing I would like to see all do is share by upvoting each others articles. I truly believe this is necessary for this platform to survive. So I would love to see some BCH moving around. The platform still needs money to operate, by upvoting someone 10% goes towards future development. Correct me if I'm wrong the only other way would be to upvote yourself where 100% goes towards future development. What are somethings your proud of that you have done here? I'm proud of being an improved writer, becoming a motivator, and rewarding/helping others out. I have only been here just over 5 months and I do believe I have shown improvement as a writer. It use to take me a bit to complete articles, but now I can get them composed pretty quickly. It just takes me time now because I work on them in spurts. The best thing I have learned is to have a visual outline in mind before writing. I'm really not quite sure when I turned into a motivator here. That was not my intention initially coming here. I do know it was born from reading articles where authors displayed feelings such as demotivation and hardships. I just felt that I needed to encourage in any way I could. So I'm proud of the fact that I have motivated a few people here. I quickly found out from my start here that there are a lot of quality authors here. My first goal here on read.cash was to reward deserving authors. I feel accomplished to be able to say I have done just that. A thing that wasn't planned was helping out others. Some may think my upvoting is the only way I have helped others here and that just isn't the case. Things of monetary value do not solve everything. Sure I have helped many with upvotes and it has stemmed beyond the articles. The one thing I'm most proud of being here is helping others. I don't do it because I can I do it because I want to. Readcashrain Event Alright I promised that I would announce the next event on my next article. Here I am holding true to that. The plan this time is to do one short post. I have ideas floating around in my head about a question, possibly multiples. Rather than reward one person by chance with a jackpot question I'm going to have a surprise bonus for all. I'll give you a hint the bonus will not be rewarded on the same date as the event, haha. Sorry that's not much of a clue, but hey it wouldn't be much of a surprise if I gave a big hint. So the day of the event will be on **Saturday, 21 January at 11:00 GMT**. No worries, I'll send a reminder out via short message the week of the event. I was hoping to do an evening time my time but I have other commitments the next 3 Saturdays. After thoughts I hope you all enjoyed the questions as well as the answers. I'm one of those people who love this platform and I'm certainly here for the long haul. I hope we can all make this new stay here a great and better one. Version II of readraincash should be as exciting if not better than the original. Take care and be safe always. Love you all ❤️ **Click to follow:** Noise App https://noise.app/Coolmidwestguy For Noise App please like my last post so I can follow you back.

@Coolmidwestguy

Head Down Full Speed Ahead & January Author of the Month I don't know about you but expenditures from December seem to have followed me into the new year. I guess December for most of us can be a costly. Certainly inflation everywhere doesn't help at all. Today I'm going to talk about what I have been doing for awhile when it comes to keeping busy by working. I'll also talk about how I'm going to recognize authors since the "ber" months have now past. Work Many of you have followed me for awhile and know I'm kind of a workaholic. If you don't know I work two jobs, a full-time and a part-time job. My full-time job I work a 40 hour work week. Sometimes it comes with mandatory overtime hours. My part-time job I'm free to make up my own hours. Actually I'm kind of a contractor per say, as I work through a delivery driver app. I get to pick and choose what delivery opportunities I accept or decline. I have worked any where from 20 to 40 hours a week doing that. Benefits It's hardier to spend money when your working. I have jammed many hours into one week. I see a benefit doing this because I can get something I may need or want down the line. During the spring and summer I work the most hours. I often save quite a bit at this time and it helps in the colder months when I don't work as much. Other benefits include staying away from the "cookie jar." Staying at home for hours end can get boring and it can lead to me eating more than I normally would. Another benefit is it does have some physically activity involved. It may not be a gym workout but you do get some exercise moving around. I'm blessed to be able to have a job in the first place. I'm very thankful to have two. I really have great job satisfaction for both of them. My part time job I really can put my head down and go full speed ahead. I find pushing myself and working a lot of hours is necessary and try to do it more than I need to. It is true if you work hard you can play hard. I will tell you not being able to drive for over a month and half this past year due to two eye surgeries set me back some. It could have been much worse if I hadn't grinded the hours I did when I was able. Where I am at now? I have been grinding like crazy since the end of the holidays when I'm able to. I feel it's necessary to always try to be ahead of things. I'll do just that unless the weather doesn't cooperate and it's not safe to drive. Drawbacks Working a lot of hours doesn't come without sacrificing things. For me, it does affect my social life and free time. Since I started doing my part time job I don't have much time to do things I love. Prior to working part time I did a lot of wood working projects and did a lot of fishing. During the spring and summer one of my favorite things to do is go fishing. This past year I did a lot less of it. Most of the times when I went I only spent a few hours instead of a whole day. Another thing I have to do is home chores and taking care of my family. I must find time to do these things as well. It involves waking up earlier and doing things late before going to bed. Sleep is another thing sacrificed. If you haven't noticed I don't write articles very often. It takes time to do that and I'll admit it may take me a few days to complete an article. I do a little here and there at my jobs during slow periods or very early in the mornings. Sometimes I haven't socialized with friends and others all that much either. If it weren't due to the slowness here on read.cash recently I would be days behind here reading. Anyways let's get to the next topic here for this article. Author of the month Going foward here I'm going to recognize authors who continue here at read.cash. I will look at those the most that have produced at the same level as before without the presence of the @TheRandomRewarder I feel it's easier to select authors now for recognition than before. Actually there is a lot fewer to choose from. I already have in mind who I will recognize in the coming months. I'll be selecting just one user a month going forward. So for January I select @Unity for this honor. He is a big part of read.cash. This guy puts out a lot of useful articles that gives a lot of awareness to the community. A lot of his ideas are evident right there in his username. Congratulations Debesh well deserved, Sir. A simple reply in the comments is all that is required from you so I can reciprocate your accomplishments. Other thoughts There is something I want to pass along here. Currently there is an article here titled, "Time to Pay it Forward" by @grey23espartinas She has decided to add a twist to my 12 Days of Christmas Article I did last month. She is upvoting the first 12 2023 articles she receives. There has been a few that have taken advantage of it. I am also matching her upvotes on these articles. Please check out her article to see all the particulars. https://read.cash/@grey23espartinas/time-to-pay-it-forward-cef0bb39 The next thing on the agenda for me at read.cash will be my planning for another #readcashrain event. Hope I can incorporate a better even more fun version. I'll reveal a lot of the details in my next article. That is all I got for this article today. Let's all keep busy and work hard for a better tomorrow. Take care and be yourself. Love you all ❤️ **Click to follow:** Noise App https://noise.app/Coolmidwestguy For Noise App please like my last post so I can follow you back.

Heel Noise Mates!! How is everyone doing? I just got done eating some chicken fingers. Prior to to that I was watching my son's high school basketball team play. The played the #25 team in the nation tonight. They played hard through out and were only down 2 at halftime. They ended up losing by 16. I believe they learned from losing and this will probably make them a better team. Anyways I'm about ready to call it night here. Take care and be safe. Love you all ❤️

Reflections on Read Cash Rain Event Hello a new year is upon us, let's waste no time making good use of it. I hope everyone's holidays were pleasant and relaxing. Time to go full speed ahead in hopes to improve ourselves in as many ways as possible. For today's article I want to reflect and give you the results of my Read Cash Rain Event. I'll tell you exactly how much BCH was moved, how the engagements went, and some surprises. I'll break it down by round, in case you don't know thier were three of them. I'll also take the opportunity to answer the questions in each round. Total BCH that was moved in Round 1 was $3.43. I'll be honest I thought I would have all rounds wrapped up in 2 hours. This round lasted two hours and I had to schedule the other rounds for later because I had other commitments. The engagement started off slow so I inserted myself into it. I had originally planned to just be an observer but whoopsie, haha. I rewarded two individuals for really getting involved in the discussion. What is your #1 New Year's resolution for next year? To be honest I rarely do them or I just plain forget, haha. I'm a true believer if you set goals and give effort and time to them you can achieve them. I really feel resolutions are just a pressured goal often thought of at the the last minute . This is just me, why wait to start just get to them. I go to the gym a lot and guess what I see? A packed gym from January to March. What happens? New Year's resolutions fail because often they are thoughts and are not planned out long term. I'm not saying not to do them, but if you want to succeed with them time, effort, and planning is necessary. The total BCH that was moved in round 2 was $5.99. There was much more engagement in this round as some new users participated. I engaged in the discussion because I already did in the previous round. Since I felt the engagement was good I rained on everybody's first comment at the end of the round. I decided to stop the round at about the hour mark and go right into round 3. What is one thing you have accomplished this year that you are proud of? Well I feel I endured so much with my eyes this year that is was an accomplishment to be blessed with near perfect vision at the end of it. I also feel proud of meeting so many new friends virtually. The best part of this year to me was helping others. I felt like I did more this year than any other year. Not just monetary either. There's my answer even though it's more than one, lol. The total amount of BCH moved in round 3 was $10.09. Engagement was good in this round. I still want to go back and reply to a few of the comments, haha. Do to the amount of engagement I again decided to re-rain on everyone's first comment. What is something you have learned about cryptocurrency you like? I have to say it's speed and availability. It's amazing to me you can send it across the globe and it can be used immediately. It doesn't matter what day it is or even if it is a holiday. I plan to learn more about cryptocurrency, maybe someday I will feel comfortable writing an article about it. Takeaways I think this was a successfully event. I had hoped for engagement and there was a lot of it. Also the upvoting shared between all participants was very noticeable. My goal was to see some BCH move and while it wasn't huge I'm satisfied. I had an idea of how much money I had at the beginning (not sure of exact amount) and the most surprising part at the end of round 3 it looked untouched. I may have actually gained BCH doing this event. I did receive a lot of upvotes from participants and even from some who didn't participate. A great thank you to all. It goes to show by giving and sharing you can also receive. I didn't notice a decrease until I rewarded the jackpot question the day after. That question was what eye did I have surgery on twice last year and what size shoe do I wear. The correct answer was left eye and size 13. No one got it correct so I went with the earliest closest answer. Congratulations @pajeroz for his guess of left eye and size 12. The Reward was $12.31 and he shared $2.00 to other users per instructions. I would like to thank @jane for her generous donation of $5.00. She was going to help with some raining but I'm to blame because I didn't give her a clear overview or expectations. Also I failed to get with her on a schedule that would work for us both. I'm not going to make excuses but I will be better prepared if I collorabate with others in the future. Her donation will go to good use and I will share my plans for it here shortly. The good thing about this event here in read.cash is users can share back and forth. It's good to have interaction with each other and I hope doing this it showed awareness in how we should appreciate others when reading articles from each other. I will do this event again in the future. I will try my best to figure out ways to improve it. **Other Read Cash Rain Events** I have to give a big thanks to @Unity for pushing this initiative out to others. He created a hash tag that will link all articles to it, #readcashrain He also created his own Read Cash Rain Event and I encourage all to check it by clicking here. https://read.cash/@Unity/post-15cfdf7b#comment-c308e428 I will be doing another event in the near future. This time I will spend time collorabating with someone. Who will that be? I'll leave that up to who comments below first who would like to be a rainer. I will front you $5.00 at the time of the event, thanks again @Jane. Of course you will be expected to rain it all. Who wants to be a giver? Even though my original event is over I will still reward those who missed the event. All you have to do is answer each question in each round. Here is a short post that contains all links to each round: https://read.cash/@Coolmidwestguy/post-c5c801ae Once again a special thanks to all who participated and contributed to this event. I really had a fun time doing this. I hope this initiative can continue spreading and others will decide to do there own #readcashrain Take care, happy 2023 to everyone, and let this year not be the last here hopefully. Love you all ❤️ **Click to follow:** Noise App https://noise.app/Coolmidwestguy For Noise App please like my last post so I can follow you back.

Happy New Year's my friends across the globe. About 6 hours yet for me to welcome 2023

@Coolmidwestguy

Read.cash Rain Event Thank you so much for everyone that participated in all the rounds of the event. It was a lot of fun for me and the engagements were high. Particularly the last few rounds I learned somethings and got the opportunity to know some people a little better. If you haven't answered a question in any of the rounds I'll leave that open and I will rain on your answers. Read Cash Rain Event Hello friends and readers. I hope everyone had a great Christmas. I enjoyed mine even though the planning was way different from those held years prior. There was Joy and happiness and that is all that really matters. I'm here today to bring an event for everyone to enjoy. Ever since cash rain became a thing, I have been thinking of way of doing it here. I held off for awhile and thought why not make it a year end celebration for active read.cash users. So let me break down my thoughts and my aim here. Here vs There I am not on cash rain so my opinions of it are from reading about it and word of mouth. So I hear you don't have a choice who you rain cash on, it's completely random. To me that sounds like giving to someone in the dark. I have read it's great for those who are looking to plus up there social network numbers. There is no direct way to comment to each other unless you do it through a social network. Of course it's a great easy way to pick up some free cryptocurrency if your on the receiving end. A single cash rain though is only a one way transaction. I see both the negatives and positives but I'm not there so there's probably a lot that I'm missing. For a read.cash rain I feel it would be much more fun. I promise I will share here soon my plan to do it. One benefit is you know who your raining on. So the lights are on when your raining, haha. Another benefit is engagement and it will be highly encouraged. The great thing here in read it doesn't have to be one way transaction. Of course a rain in read.cash would be slower because you would have to tip each individual, no random automation. Alright I'll tell you my plan to make it rain in read.cash. Set up and execution My plan is to do a few short posts here. Each post will have instructions and contain a question or two to answer. No worries there won't be any tasks like leaving read.cash to post elsewhere. All that will be required of the receiver is to answer the questions and comply with any instructions. Im looking to roll this out on 30 December maybe Noon time GMT. I don't want to interfere with the festivities of New Year's Eve. If anyone has any suggestions for a better date/time please share below. My pockets are not that deep and I'm going to ask for assistance to make this event big. If there is anybody out there that wants to rain by my side please contact me. I'm all ears for other ideas as well. For instance, if you want to do your own short post to rain no issues with that. I'll let this article go out and hope it can gardner some attention. Receivers You will surely receive some warm heart felt BCH. I ask that everyone receiving please share a little of the BCH with others in the comments. Let's move some BCH around!! Let's make some noise by replying to each other in the comments as well. Another initiative here is to give back to the platform a noticeable amount by doing this. I don't want this to be an arms extended with hands held out rather a celebration of being together with each other in this platform. I mentioned at the top I wanted to do this for active read.cash users. I meant that I don't want a rave of old users who have given up here months ago dropping by collecting and leaving again. For that reason I won't be talking about it in Noise.app. I will be looking at user's recent activity if I don't recognize you. If you have an active friend that you want to see participate feel free to mention them on the short post. I'm not here to benefit but the easiest way to see my short article would be by subscribing to me. There will be no hard feeling if you were to unsubscribe afterwards. Updates If I have any updates to this I will send them out. It could be time changes or any other changes. If I get some assistance I'll also let you know who they are unless they want to remain unannomous. Final thoughts The last few days we have all been busy with the holidays. I am just one person trying my best with ideas and thoughts to get this platform pumping again. I hope this event with everyone's participation can be a positive thing for read cash. It's not me, but everyone's willingness to participate to make this a successful event. I'm very excited for this, woot woot. Let's light up the notification bells and rock this platform one last time to bid farewell to 2022!! Hope not only to see it rain but pour!! Take care and be safe. Love you all ❤️ **Click to follow:** Noise App https://noise.app/Coolmidwestguy For Noise App please like my last post so I can follow you back. #readcashrain

@Coolmidwestguy

Merry Christmas and a hopeful new year to all. The notifications are plentiful this morning and that brings a big smile on my face. Seeing all the new articles, short posts, and other notifications is very welcoming. These are the best Christmas presents this great platform offers. Take care, be safe, and spread the cheer!! Love you all ❤️

My "ber" Author Competition results Good day friends and readers. I can surely say the worst of winter has arrived. It was bone chilling here yesterday as the temperatures have felt like -40 F. Some stores and business have closed but Christmas will still go on. Same can be said of Rusty, he's closed up but our journey here at read.cash still continues. I'm here today to give you the results on my "ber" author competition. It's was tough judging, I kind of wish I would have just done a flat rate for all. That way I could have opened it up to more as well and wouldn't have to judge articles. I put it out there and changing it on the fly would have gone against my promise and word. I'm very pleased how it turned out though, many of you got others to write articles which was one of the goals doing it. I'm going to mention everyone that did an article and link there articles here. I received articles from 12/14 mentioned users, very good turn out. Let's get to thier articles first. "Ber" Articles submitted @ARTicLEE Oriental Winter Wonderland https://read.cash/@ARTicLEE/oriental-winter-wonderland-9817f236 @Jeansapphire39 My First Christmas gift https://read.cash/@Jeansapphire39/my-first-christmas-gift-cd3c0f84 @Duvinca Christmas challenge! Give them an upvote, comment, and subscribe. Now more than ever is the time to all be connected :) Everyone is a winner It was incredible hard picking winners. One of the reason I created a point system was to make it a little easier. It still wasn't easy, lol. I have read some of the articles 3 or 4 times. I promised I would give you something for your efforts even if you don't place and I hold true to that. Let's get to the top 3 which includes 4 individuals because I can't beat my head no more to choose between 2. Below were the rules and later I did a breakdown of how I would judge them in update article. I don't know if I will do a competition again it's really hard being a judge. I've changed my mind a couple of times already thinking who I should select where. So I just got to do it not feeling completely sure if my choices are right. I ask just one simple thing don't judge me for being the judge. Let's all feel happy and proud of everyone who decided to be a participant. Let's reveal the top 3. 3rd place @bmjc98 & @alicecalope 2nd place @BCH_LOVER 1st place @TeacherLynlyn All my "ber author" articles I'll be stopping by your submitted article one last time to upvote your articles and give you some nice words in the comments. This will take me some time, I promise to get to each one of you once I get some free time. Congratulations to all of you and it's great to see almost all of you continuing your journey here. Final thoughts It was really a pleasure reading all these articles and quite a few articles that followed thier articles. I'm doing one last surprise thing this year and it will include the whole community. I won't give it away right now but it will be a celebration of 2022. It will be for those that want to remain here going foward. Look for it in the next day or two!! Take care, be safe, and enjoy the remaining days of this year. Love you all ❤️

Frozen lake and a beautiful winter surprise. Hello all just hours now until Christmas. The weather is a little warmer today, it only feels like -25 C with the crazy wind 🌬️ No more snow here thank you 🙏 Well I'm taking a break from delivery driving eating a simple lunch at the nearby lake. Amazing how quickly nature changes. A few weeks ago you could see waves on the lake now it's frozen solid. It's not often you see a rainbow 🌈 in the freezing cold in an environment such as mine. It really brings a smile to my face, I'm thinking someone above wants us all to share his love. Well lunch is done and a few more hours of driving to do. Let me grind and the rest of you enjoy the glorious days ahead. Take care and be safe. Love you all ❤️

@Coolmidwestguy

Winter blizzard 🥶❄️🥶 My plans have all been cancelled today. Temperatures and snow are making that impossible. Here it feels like -40 F what does that mean going outside? Within 5 minutes of exposure your skin can become frost bite. You can throw water from a glass in the air and none of it will make it to the ground. Not exactly sure how much more snow we will receive. So far we haven't received much. There already saying this Christmas may be the coldest one on record. I have already prepared my house for these events. This includes opening cabinet doors underneath sinks. Shutting off water valves that we won't use. Some were shut off weeks ago but we have shut off additional ones we will sacifrice not using. I've set up space heaters near the main water supply pipes. I also have all sinks on to just slowly dripping. These events usually don't happen here until January/February. Long winter to come? Any warm weather friends want to swap locations? 🥶 Vs 🥵 haha. Take care, be safe, stay warm or cool. Love you all ❤️

@Coolmidwestguy

I'm off this week from my full-time job but I'm working extra at my delivery job. Why? I need the money for bills, other expenditures (read.cash), and I have a hard time sitting around the house. I may be limited driving today because mother nature is calling for a blizzard. I'll stay on the roads until there too bad or unsafe to drive on. I need something to occupy my mind by driving and listening to music. It's saddening to see departures messages and see some differences of opinions(between 3 individuals) I think went too far. It's the holiday season let's show love to each other let's not show our differences in an ugly way. Peace and love, let's just all get along and spread it to all!! Take care, be safe, and enjoy the holidays. Love you all ❤️

@Coolmidwestguy

With the recent events, My "ber" Author Competition/Challenge will still go on as planned. I currently have 10/14 mentioned users articles submitted for it. I'll give a hint not all have met all the parameters. There is still time to edit and update your articles. If you haven't done one yet the deadline is my tomorrow. I hope to have a results article on my Friday. See article below as it as how I will judging them. https://read.cash/@Coolmidwestguy/update-to-ber-author-competition-challenge-dd43604a Take care all :)

A big thank you to all read.cash admins @simon. I've seen a few that are still going to continue thier journey at read.cash which makes me happy. I will continue to be there are well. May those that stay embrace the new way forward with read .cash :) Take care, be safe, and enjoy the holidays. Love you all ❤️

Christmas Questions Hello all, how are we all doing? I didn't get up until 830 this morning. I went to bed around 1130 last night. I guess my body decided to go into rest mode. Well I have had a lot going on and it's been a long time since I got that much sleep. Anyways let's get to the topic at hand. Well we are nearing Christmas day. So today I will give it a Christmas feel by asking some Christmas questions. It's the theme I have seen in many articles so this is my attempt to fit right in with everyone else. If you feel like recycling these questions please do. Just mention me and link my article into yours. Well time for me to answer some questions. Do you get Christmas shopping done early or late? Sometimes I do get a head start on things. The absolute earliest I have been done was at the end of November. I often feel once November arrives I start thinking about it but time just goes by so fast for me and before I know it Christmas day is here, haha. Do you allow early gift opening? Well I'm a sucker for allowing early opening of gifts. I just like watching the joy on ones face as they open gifts. How early you may ask? Not as early as I buy but sometimes a day or two before Christmas day. Usually it's only just one gift because there has to be something for Christmas day, right? What does yo**ur Christmas feast look like?** I'll admit I have two seperate occasions. My mom lives a few hours away and we don't always get to celebrate on Christmas day. This holiday season we won't get together until the 7th of January. On Christmas day this year I will be spending it at my brother in law's house. They do a breakfast theme which includes 2 egg casseroles (ham & sausage). It goes with coffee, juice, milk, hash browns, cinnamon rolls, English muffins, toast, bacon, and few other things I'm sure I'm forgetting. My mother and sisters will be coming to visit me this holiday season. My side of the family does a ham themed dinner. It will probably be a simple feast which will also include mashed potatoes, creamed corn casserole, milk to drink, and probably Boston Creme pie for dessert. What was your most memorable Christmas? For me it was when I was in my childhood. I remember going to a mall where my mom entered our names days before for a Christmas drawing. They announced many winners and at the end they announced the grand prize winner. My name was called for the grand prize and I think back on it what a gift for not only me but for my parents. My mom often put her Christmas shopping on layaway which they hold your items and you make payments on them. Once there paid off you get the items. So I can imagine she was able to drop some of the items on layaway and save money. Physical gift or cash or gift certificate? I think it depends on who you are shopping for. In my opinion for young children it should be a physical gift. Sometimes when you just don't know what someone wants a gift certificate or cash may be a better choice. When I send out Christmas cards to relatives I include a gift certificate to them. Often it is to a favorite restaurant of theirs, this gives them something to do as a family. My 16 year old son only wants cash now. So we give him a combination of cash along with some stocking gifts. What is your favorite part about Christmas? I really like the idea of getting everyone together. I never expect anything and often tell others not to get me anything. I just believe it's more about Jesus Christ, family, and kids. Of course the grateful dinner is appreciated along with opening and watching everyone opening gifts. Is it better to give than receive? Well I think all of us go through the stages of being both a giver or receiver. In order for some to give it may dependent on our financial status but to truly give I think it has more to do with what's in our heart. It's never about receiving something big or expensive as it is for the caring thought of the person giving. Being thankful and saying nice words or showing gratitude is the best gift one can receive or give. Do you feel the holidays last too long? It is the season to be jolly and happy and it should last forever, right? Usually a few days after Christmas I just want to go into recovery mode. Usually the holidays come at a financial expense for us unfortunately. Entertaining and trying to do so much can be over whelming as well. I just think we have to also find time to relax during the holidays. I don't think it's too long, we just need to seperate the time and do something for ourselves as well. Final thoughts I hope you enjoyed the questions and answers. Lets all enjoy the rest of the holiday season. Please find time for family and yourself. Take care and be safe. Hello friends and Noise Mates How is everyone? I made some chicken stir fry tonight. It wasn't too bad. Hey everyone ate it and there's no left over so it must have been ok 😂 Well not much else going on I'm actually kind of bored :( Take care and be safe. Live you all ❤️

@Coolmidwestguy

Hello friend and Noise Mates. Well I'm on the road again heading to another away basketball 🏀 game. This time two hours away. No problem in my warm climate controlled car set at 75 F. Outside windy and feels like 6 F. Roads are much better than yesterday. Just cruising jamming to music with no worries. Excited to see me son do his thing again on the court. Won't probably be home until after 10 p.m. tonight. Tomorrow will be another game at 1:30 p.m. but this game will be close to home in the local arena. It will be on a bigger stage as media will be present. :) Well that's what up for the rest of my Friday. What are your plans for today? Take care and be safe. Love you all ❤️

Update to "ber" Author Competition Challenge Hello friends and readers. I'm doing good no real complaints. Today has got a Christmas feeling to it. It's currently snowing here, not a lot but the ground is white. A little snow is good, I just don't want to be shoveling it later though. Well let's get to the topic at hand. I'm doing this article for a few reasons. One is to check that I have everyone's article that has done one. Second I have finally decided on the prize pool. Third since I'm announcing the prize pool I'm going to give some hints and go over how I will judge all the articles. To check out the original article please click here. https://read.cash/@Coolmidwestguy/a-ber-author-competition-challenge-fcd9b6b7 Articles received I know there are a few others who are still planning to write. No worries you have until the 21st of this month to submit an article. Below are the "ber" author's articles I have received: @ARTicLEE @Jeansapphire39 @Duvinca @BCH_LOVER @TeacherLynlyn @GarrethGrey07 @JRamona20 If your a "ber" author of mine and you have done an article for this challenge/competition and your not listed above let me know. It just means I forgot to save your article. I feel I'm missing someone and I definitely don't want anyone to miss out on this opportunity. Prize pool I have decided to award the top 3 articles. For the first prize winner $25, runner up $15 , and $1o for third. I will reward all other "ber" authors who have an entry with $2 for your efforts. For those that have written an article already and want to edit or add to it, that's absolutely fine. Just make sure to do so by 21 December. Judging articles Alright I'm going to break down for you how I will grade the articles. There will be 4 categories I will be looking at: Mention & Credit Length Content Your unique challenge or competition. Each article will be graded on a 100 point scale. Here are the rules/parameters from the original article: Mention and credit all you have to do is mention me and my original article. You all got this super easy, haha. Easy 10 points if this is done. The length of the article should be between 4-6 minutes. Very easy to get in between these two numbers. If you fall between these parameters it's 20 points. The content will be broken into two parts. Part I is a check to see if the topic makes up 80% of the total content. This part can be worth up to 20 points. Part II is all about the quality of the content. I will be looking for holiday spirit along with how the article is written. This part will make up to 30 points. The last thing I will look at is your unique challenge or competition. Creativity and fun will be looked at here. I'll leave it up to you. Maybe get some engagement in the comments or encouragement for others to write. For this you can earn up to 20 points. After thoughts I rolled this one out kind of quick without putting out all the details. I guess I just wanted to give enough time for everyone to complete. I apologize for that but at the time I didn't have all the details hashed out. So I really like what I have read already. It's hard not to comment or upvote those articles yet. I will say what I have read has led to smiles, heartfelt feelings, joy and laughter. I know it will be hard judging and picking the top 3. I knew it would be because I picked some awesome individuals to be "ber"authors of the month. Take care and be safe. Friend Questions Part II Hello back again with some question prompts. This prompt will include some more friend questions that I shared awhile back. I'll give you my answers and if you decide to use them just mention me and this article in yours. If you have forgotten or haven't seen the original questions you can check them out here. Let's get to them. https://read.cash/@Coolmidwestguy/friend-questions-8e38f8dd Do you value physical friends over virtual friends? Sure they are different. Physical friends you can actually meet up with and see. Virtual friends you chat/talk with behind a screen. To be honest, a friend is a friend right? Virtual friends seem to be easier to contact and communicate with. Often in the real world we do most of our communication face to face with our friends. So conflicting schedules sometimes gets in our way to communicate. I just find I don't spend a lot of time texting/chatting to my physical friends on my phone like my virtual friends. I value both not one over the other. Have you had someone refer to you as a friend but you don't consider them as one? I think this happens to people more than we think. I've ran across it a few times. I'll tell you of one instance in my past. There was this guy, who would be a stretch to say we were acquaintances. I worked with him for a week. We talked to each other maybe 3 times. Anyways I ran into him months later at the gym. He was working out with a friend and came up to me. I was expecting,"Hey you remember me ?" Nope much more, he introduced his friend to me like we were some long last pals, haha. The worst part is I didn't even remember his name. Talk about embarrassing and weird at the same time. Better to look for new friends or just let it happen naturally? I think a lot of us have wanted to build our friend network at some point in our lives. I think most want to gain more friends in their teenage years. I'm content where I'm at, making new friends not a problem though. I personally would rather cross paths naturally. I'm not saying don't make new friends if your looking. We just cant be weird thinking everyone wants to be our friend. Don't force yourself on someone. I'd also say don't invest so much time doing so and especially don't expect the same in return when your just meeting someone. Have you ever met a virtual friend in real life? Well I don't consider online dating as such so I have to say no. Curious for those who have though. Were they who you were expecting them to be? Are you better or worse friends with them now? Do you spend more time with your virtual friends or physical friends? Well I think this will depend where we are at in our lives. Maybe for a high school or college student your physical friends are everywhere. For someone who is older or has a family of their own there may be a divide if they are engaged with online communities. I have both and I'll say I communicate more on the virtual side. After all early in the morning or late at night we're not communicating with our physical friends usually. Often I spend time with physical friends on weekends or special circumstances or events. Final thoughts Back before the online age became what it is today our friends surrounded us. Now we can be friends with people who we may never get to meet in the real world. It's really up to us who we want to be friends with. It can be virtually, physically, or both. That's all I have for today, take care, and be safe.
