I have a way of getting basically free electricity, but it would still take ages to pay off the cost of the ASIC I was looking at. I think it's still mostly not worth it, but I've heard it might be...

I'd be careful with that. You can't mine Bitcoin (BTC) with a regular computer - you need lots of power and highly-specialized hardware for that (ASIC). So anything that promises to mine Bitcoin on...

Love it! Giving out SLP tokens for donations has huge potential beyond using them as perks, etc! E.g. Bitmain could use them in their shop to give you priority for ASIC orders! "Burn 30 BCHBU tokens...

Well, usually mining needs equipment, but this is the best part about monero. It does not allow specific equipment (ASIC) and it only needs cpu or gpu.

I have mine before and there's nothing new about it, it is just expensive because you need specialized equipment. Even GPU and CPU is the same. Those selling you the idea that mining works are not t...

Of course, the performance of a smartphone or laptop is lower than that of mining farms on GPU or ASIC devices, but the power consumption is also significantly lower!

Regardless of the number of miners, it still takes 10 minutes to mine one http://Bitcoin . At 600 seconds (10 minutes), all else being equal it will take 72,000 GW (or 72 Terawatts) of power to min...

I think an ASIC miner costs like 7500 dollars but the revenue it generates is not so much so you need 10 of these to make a real profit.
