Hi everyone!
Sorry wasn't able to post any article for the past 2 days and the reason why I wasn't able to write is because of COVID19. This will be the longest 14 days of our lives and it is only our day 1.
Last Friday, my cousin and my 2 nieces were declared positive though we are not living in the same house, still, it affects us. Since we are exposed to them we also need to be quarantined for 14 days and all of us were subject to swabbing which was done this morning.

By 7:30 am we are already in the health center and waited for it to open at 8am. We went there early so we will be the first ones to get swabs so we can finish early too. But that didn't happen even if we are the first one in the line. The swabbing started at about past 8:30 but before, that we have to get listed first and get a number. While the center staff interviewed us for the name listing I already noticed that there was a name inserted between my cousin and me but I didn't complain since it was just one name. After the name listing, we waited for about half an hour before the Medtech started the swabbing. I was expecting that they will follow the number system since they give out numbers but I was wrong. They first called the pregnant women followed by the seniors and the people with disability which are understandable. What I don't understand is, when the Medtech calls 5 people who just arrived 5 minutes before she started and swab them first before the people who are there waiting for her for about an hour already.
I do understand the power of connection and I do understand that it is hard to say no to those people who asked for favor, but why do they have to do it out in the open, why can't they do it in private where people won't notice it. It is just irritating to see how some agencies prioritize the people that they know, the people that asked a favor from them, and it is irritating to see that they are also the ones who are breaking their own rules just for the sake of those people without realizing that their credibility is compromised.
Swabbing Result
After 15 minutes of swabbing, we already got the result. My Aunt, my niece (16 years old) and my nephew (9 years old) are all positive. Total of 6 positive cases in our compound. My result was negative but they still subject me for the rt-pcr since I have symptoms so I'm still waiting for the result that will be released on Wednesday. Hoping and praying that it is also negative.
Realization
No one is really safe with this virus, even if you are not going out. Even the people who keeps on disinfecting themselves with alcohol still get infected. SO PLEASE do boost your immune system, don't forget to take that vitamins, have a complete 7-8 hours or sleep and do hydrate. No one will take care of yourself aside from you. And believe me, it is hard being alone when you are sick. I'll say it again, please do take care of yourselves and boost your immune system that's the only thing that can spare us from this virus and do get vaccinated.
