The internet exists for whatever reason you want it to. For me, it is an opportunity to get information for financial independence and security, provided it is legit and devoid of fraudulent means.
Internet fraud is the new normal. Scams are the order of the day. Thus, it becomes difficult to try out legit opportunities that come our way due to past experiences with platforms that resulted in a waste of time.
Not every scam involves the loss of money. On a personal level, there's no scam greater than that involving your time and effort. Your mind gets fixated on the possibility of financial freedom via the time spent on doing some tasks, regardless of how small. And the inevitable ensues.
On request for payout, after meeting the almost impossible-to-meet target, it turns out to be another waste of time. Hope dissolves in seconds, and the feeling of powerlessness follows. False hope at its finest.
Legit Platforms Still Exist
Regardless of the unending scams on the internet, legit platforms still exist, one such is the platform where I earned **a little over $300 in October, $400+ in November, and blah blah, up to $610.43 in February**. With payments received via PayPal.
After unending research in a bid to live a life of working from home and at my own convenience, my research finally paid off. I came across a transcription service that actually pays its freelancers.
It is surprisingly legit compared to the previous ones I've come across, which pay you nothing for your effort but make up excuses to terminate you before meeting the payment threshold.
And for the first time in two years, my service rendered on the internet is not paid via cryptocurrency, but in fiat. After which a certain percentage is passed on to my crypto portfolio, and history happens to the rest of it.
February Earnings
The month of February ended with an earning of $610.43, as stated in the article title. And no, this isn't clickbait. This earning is for a period of 21 days, with an average of $29 earned per day.
I tend to document my earnings on an excel spreadsheet for record purposes. February earnings are as shown below.
The below chart shows my weekly earning from the 29th of January till the 26th of February. While this doesn't reflect all the way through February, this is the last I could screenshot before it got wiped, as it gets updated every week.
While March is still on its ongoing, I've earned already $267.69. Though the earning should be more than it currently is, I showed up for work only once in the last week, hence only an earning of $21.99 was recorded in the week.
I just moved into a new apartment, hence the inevitable break. I must confess, moving into a new apartment is more stressful than I had anticipated.
Below is a combined earnings report for February and the ongoing month (March).
The First Two Months
The initial months were those of trial and error as is expected when trying out a new platform. Regardless of the uncertainty of events coupled with the learning process, I managed to earn $304.96 in October, in only 15 days.
A slight increase occurred in November. $456.60 was earned in the same 15-day time frame at which $304.96 was earned in October. Which indicates improvement.
The Game Changer of Rev
The above earnings are made from working as a transcriptionist on Rev. Working as a transcriptionist involves listening to audio files and converting the spoken words to text by following a set of guidelines provided by the transcription agency.
The pay for each audio file transcribed depends on the length and difficulty of the audio. For instance, a one-hour length of audio pays between $21 to $30, and could also pay more, depending on the difficulty and the number of speakers. While a 20 to 30-minute audio pays about $9 to $15.
I've seen 30 minutes of audio pay up to $20 and above. It's all about the factors already mentioned above.
I mostly go for one-hour-long audio files, as those pay higher. For instance, my last job last week was a one-hour audio for $42, while I've also done 1 hour and 26 minutes of audio for $44.
A one-hour audio file takes most beginners about 4 to 5 hours to transcribe, but you tend to get faster as you progress. An average of 3 hours and 3o minutes is my personal best without errors.
Earnings are paid weekly, every Monday via PayPal. Thus you don't have to wait for the conventional 30-day period to receive payment for work done.
If you're reading this and thinking of cheating the system via an audio-to-text AI, I'd suggest you deflect from such a train of thought as it wouldn't get you anywhere but destroy your chances of earning on Rev.
Note that each work submitted is graded according to the Rev style guide to ensure consistency and high quality of work. You have to understand and digest the guidelines properly before attempting any job, as you'd be placed on a grading/metric system.
A drop below the minimum grade will result in an unnoticed termination of your transcriber account.
While transcribing, you have to constantly refer back to the guideline for some unclear situations. You must also be good at researching names and word capitalization for effective work to be done.

Insights and Conclusion
After about five months of work, I must say that working as a transcriptionist can be quite stressful, but is definitely worth it in my opinion.
It is quite good if you consider it to be a side income and not a major source of income. My opinion is not definitive since it all depends on what part of the world you reside in, and how well or poorly your economy performs against the dollar.
In third world countries where the minimum wage is below '*you know what,*' then this would be considered a major source of income, while every other would be a '*side attraction.*'
Regardless of your location, having an opportunity to make some extra income on the internet is something we all crave since the conventional 9 to 5 incomes are almost never enough to cater to our unending needs.
As much as internet scams exist, legit platforms exist also. Therefore it will be unwise to readily pass off every opportunity the internet provides as a scam. Such a mentality will only allow opportunities to pass us by while we continue to wallow in financial stagnation and self-pity.
These Two Habits Will Destroy Your Finance
Financial freedom and stability are something everyone aims to attain at some point in their lives.
Apart from wanting a life where we can get everything we need or almost everything we need at the instant without having to wait some weeks or months for our savings to lead up to that amount, we sometimes crave the weeks of vacation with friends and family, while enjoying ourselves in any way possible without having to bother about whether your boss will replace you or not before your vacation ends.
Unfortunately, while we crave this lifestyle and work towards it by investing ourselves, learning a trade or skill, investing in money in stocks, crypto, and lots more to attain financial stability, we often make some mistakes that deter us and constantly pull us some steps backward from our goals. As long as these habits exist in our lives, our financial goals will only be a fool's dream.
Spending Before Saving
This is a habit that almost everyone does, and I must confess that I'm guilty of this habit too. There is always something that will make you spend money because human needs are insatiable, which means that the moment you receive your wages or salary as a 9-5er, over 70 to 80% is already off your hands, and within a few days, you'd have nothing left to save due to unending expenses.
This is a terrible way to manage your finance because no matter how much you earn either weekly or monthly, it will never be enough. You will continue to feel poor, and will never attain that level of financial confidence that you crave.
The best way to deal with your expenses is by first saving a certain percentage of your earnings, after which you'd manage whatever is left until you receive your next pay. Doing this means you'd always have something to fall back on and will never be caught unawares in case of an emergency.
It is best to save a certain percentage instead of a certain amount due to certain reasons which I'd be writing about in a few days.
Having too many debts
Debt is a finance killer and having too much debt is one sure way to destroy your finance. Borrowing money comes with a price, and that price comes in the form of interest which will mark the beginning of your financial decline. You're probably wondering how.
I know you'd only borrow money when you have goals to meet up with and don't have sufficient funds at hand. Whenever you borrow money there is always an interest attached to it. This interest is what affects your financial goals because it means you're paying more for what you could have gotten for less. Unfortunately, when the time comes to get rid of the debt, more expenses are already waiting which means that you'd have three options to pick from.
You could either pick between paying the debt and letting go of the new expenses at hand or paying the debt and borrowing again to meet up with the new expenses or going with the expenses and postponing the debt payment.
**When you pay off the debt**
While the only way to rid yourself of the debt is by sticking to the first option which includes paying off the debt and letting go of the expenses at hand until you've saved enough for it, it is easier to do in theory.
**When you Pay and borrow again**
Paying off the debt and borrowing again means that as soon as you pay off the new debt, new expenses will always be there to make you keep borrowing and you will be stuck in this loop for a long time unless some miracle happens. You will also be paying a lot of money as interest on each debt and you'd be miserable.
**When you postpone the debt payment**
Sticking to the third option of going through with your expenses and postponing the debt payment is even worse because more interest will be added to the initial interest on your debt and you will end up with much more debt than you planned. Your new goal will be to pay off the debts you have accumulated with time while leaving your financial goals behind.
This means that you would be making your loan agency richer while you become poorer. They're making money off you via something called **compound interest**.
**Too many debts can reduce the quality of your life!**
Conclusion
If you intend to build yourself to a level of financial dependence, you have to develop a habit of saving before spending so you can always have something to fall back upon while also avoiding debts by any means possible. Borrowing money to finance your lifestyle is the greatest enemy of financial growth and is highly addictive.
Avoid the two steps above and you're on your way to financial freedom. You should know that financial freedom is not something you'd achieve in a day. It requires a lot of time, effort, and a lot of discipline.
Is LPUD anything more than an anti-dump mechanism?

Regardless of my love for Leo Power Up day and how much I'd love to support this community event in my way, I've unfortunately begun to have certain doubts regarding LPUD, and **this is something I'd be writing about in a few words.**
Scepticism for LPUD
Regardless of how much confidence I have in LPUD, I'm beginning to have doubts regarding LPUD and how the plan to enable the long-term sustainability of the LEO token may work via this event. Though I very well understand that a higher stake means stronger market price especially since it provides for an anti-dump system due to the required 13-week Power down period, during which more LEOs would have been re-staked by others in the LEO community, thus ensuring sustainability.
Unfortunately, since LPUD began in June, there's not been a significant difference in the LEO price unless we intend to count the negative. Before you or whoever reads this begin to explain the concept of **the bear** and how it has affected the entire crypto market. I'd like to say that I'm very aware of this, and this is another factor to be considered. **But in what way? Let's take it one at a time.**
The Bear Market's effect
The Bear has affected the price of cryptocurrencies and has resulted in a downtrend, of which Hive and LEO aren't an exception. The only case of exception is that Hive has a better sustainable system than most other cryptocurrencies out there. Some **BTC maximalists** can testify. This sustainability of Hive means that it was affected by the bear but to a bare minimum as compared to other cryptocurrencies.
Now, the LEO token is a subsidiary of the Hive blockchain, which means that the sustainability and stability of Hive should be reflected in its price and how well it does against the bear market. This means that the price of LEO we see today reflects the strength of its parent currency Hive. **But is this strength good enough?** **Let's relate it to LPUD once more**.
The Anti-dump mechanism of LPUD
Participating in LPUD means that our LEO tokens cannot be accessed for another 13 weeks as an **anti-dump mechanism**, which means that some whales cannot instantly withdraw or sell an amount large enough to disrupt the LEO ecosystem. But does this provide any more advantages apart from that? **I don't think so**
The purpose of LPUD is to ensure price stability in the absence of **the bear** but does not necessitate an increase in LEO value/market price in the long run.
With the bear market, LPUD has served a special purpose in terms of LEO’s price by not allowing panic-sell amidst the chaos. Apart from this, there’s been not much achieved unless you intend to state that the price of LEO would have been far worse than it currently is if LPUD didn’t exist. This would mean that LPUD does not protect against the bear but simply reduce its effect. This leads to a simple question that goes to you reading this right now;
**Does LPUD make any difference and is it anything more than an anti-dump mechanism?**

Halfway through, the unicorn is transformed into a human, falls in love with a princess and becomes the first unicorn to ever learn about human emotions. There's no happily ever after for the unicorn as she is forced to abandon her love and return to the forest to get a truly depressing ending.

Before Toy Story brought our favourite toys to life, the Brave Little Toaster attempted a similar thing with appliances and didn't get quite the same outcome. While Toy Story did feature the unfortunate explosion of combat Carl, the Brave Little Toaster was far worse with appliances purposely killing themselves, air conditioners exploding and a group of cars singing just before they get crushed and sent to the compactor.
Then there's the toasters crazy nightmare scene where he burns the toast, and the black smoke turns into a smoke monster who chokes out the owner of the toaster. There’s also the giant scary clown who haunts the toaster in the dream. You need brave little children to really enjoy The Brave Little Toaster.
**3. Mars Needs Moms**

Mars Needs Moms is one of Disney's biggest animated failures and viewing. The film showcases why. The film sends horrible messages about parenting, working parents and plays off so many generalized mom's stereotypes. Not to mention, the aliens featured in the film are creepy to look at and may scare some children.
Mom's need to just prevent their children from ever seeing Mars Needs moms, and the awful message it sends to kids including some anti feminism vibes. It also seemed to downplay the role of the father and almost made them feel like a pointless nonentity when it comes to raising children.
**4. Monster house**

Monster House is a great animated film but maybe you should wait until your child is in their teens before you let them watch it. The house that devours people and comes alive features a lot of great horror elements but the backstory alone is what will deliver a majority of the scares and trauma.
An overweight circus sideshow act literally gets buried alive by cement. Not only do we see her cemented corpse in the basement of the home, but the dark themes may also leave children scared and with more questions than answers about the haunted home.
**5. The Adventures of Lolo the penguin**

In a strange collaboration between Japan and Russia, the 1986 release of The Adventures of Lolo the penguin was filled with a lot of controversy. While children can easily go on YouTube and watch the full original cut today, the release of the animated penguin tale had to be heavily edited for American audiences. Among the edits in the film include cutscenes involving the death of penguins, mourning the Penguins, spanking scenes, and multiple seagull attacks.
Just think about watching the film happy feet but with a lot less dancing and a whole lot more violence and dark messages.

As mentioned in previous articles such as **A frustrated Nigerian's rant- 'from top to bottum (bottom)'** and **The frustration continues; Today is even worse!**, certain things have been bothering me for some time and there's no helping it as things do not seem to be getting better thanks to the present economic decline and whatchamacallit. The BCH dip has also made it a psychological battle for me as well as I've been considering whether to sell off or not. Selling off puts me in a dangerous position as it means I'd get to be in the regrets in the case where it attains a new ATH. Imagine going past $300 and to $500 and higher while I'd simply watch from a distance because I sold them all due to panic and the inability to keep my emotions in check.
I wouldn't exactly blame myself if such happens but I'd rather not since I could have sold at higher rice but kept accumulating them until where it is today. Selling off would mean the months of hard work would be equivalent to dust and at the same time I'm trying to not lose more than I already have. Thus putting me in a dangerous position which I never imagined I'd be a few months ago.
Apart from the BCH dilemma, there's something called @TheRandomRewarder. My best friend on this platform who has decided to abandon me for reasons unknown. There's been no upvotes in a number of articles, the last time was the 30th of May and Hell no.. I'm frustrated.

Right now my BCH portfolio is experiencing a decline due to the bear market and this is the point where I should be accumulating much more as a means of taking advantage of the current market decline so I can be at an advantageous position when a reverse happens. I've always been concerned about the decline in upvotes over the past few months and this allowed me to be fearful. I was simply being fearful that the day may come where the upvotes will diminish totally to a state of nothingness. Looks like I wasn't wrong. It happened faster than I imagined but I'd give anything to make it return. I'm literally losing my mind.

Well, what I feared the most has happened and here I am hoping that some sort of magic will turn things around and will bring me in view of @TheRandomRewarder because I have been left behind and it saddens me.

Looks like the month of June has come to an end already. I'm sincerely hoping I'd be treated well in the month of July so U wouldn't have to leave read.cash forever. It has been my home for 10 months and I don't intend to find a new home.
At the time of writing I'm gradually shifting back into a depressed state and there's no helping it since there is no switch that would allow me deactivate that depressive state at will. If only it were possible then I'd be the happiest man on earth.

Ignorance leads to loss in the crypto space. Thanks to BCH I'm on my feet again!
Reminiscing through the past, I remember some of the mistakes I made while diving into the world of cryptocurrency in 2017. I learnt a lot from it and at the same time I have some regrets because I feel I would have been at a better position than I am today if those mistakes were not made.
I am not to blame, I dont blame myself either but I blame the fact that I was sinoly ignorant and a random person took advantage if that naivety to a certain degree.
I remember wanting to buy ETH in 2017 but couldn't due to the fact that I was sceptical about Luno's accountability plus their transaction fee which was a bit on the high side. Thus allowing me to trust a stranger with my money. In the end, I transferred money to a stranger but didnt get any Ethereum. I was literally scammed. He made different excuses and suddenly blocked me from social media so I could no longer contact him.

Damn.. a big mistake it was! I was so devastated because it was hard earned money at the time, though not so much but I was in my first year in college and was literally managing the little I had. I simply wanted to get into the crypto train since I saw it as the next big thing and at that time 1 ETH was simply around $40 or $42 or so.. I sincerely can't remember the exact price. But in Naira it was about 15,000 Naira based on the exchange rate at that time.
I regretted trusting a stranger and I became very cautious after that. At the time, the anount of money with me would have given me 0.5 ETH which wasn't of much value by then but fast forward to 2020.. barely three years after and ethereum became the next big thing and was taking after its elder brother BTC. If only I had known how to buy on my own back then, I wouldnt have regrets as I would have eventually bought more in the long run but being scammed made me lose interest.
In 2020 before the start of the lock down, I ETH was around 40,000 Naira which wa about $100 or so.. I had money with me which would have given me more than 1ETH but Icouldn't get in due to the fact that it was my school fee and I was sceptical as to whether the lock down will commence and last as long.

No one could predict how long the lockdown was going to last hence I decided to not take chances somce the money wasn't for my final year school fee and exams were fast approaching.
Long story short, I kept the money and ignored ETH. Surprisingly, the lockdown lasted for over 9 months and school was off for that long. ETH price skyrocketed within a month and went sky high to where we are today. I regretted my action immediately it went sky high.
The problem was I couldn't do it because I was scared as to whether school would resume any time soon or not as a slight reduction in ETH price would mean that I wouldnt get my fill money back and school may resume any time soon thus I may miss my final exams without payment of the final year school fee.
The lockdown lasted till 2021 january and I was full of regrets because I could have made a lot more profit from it and would have more then enough even after removing my initial capital. I could have been the next big thing but mistakes were made.
I do not blame myself for these mistakes, I'm simply regretting my actions but I cam at that the real regret came when I lost money to scammer when I nust began my crypto journey in 2017. The 2020 mistake was simply a calculated risk which I didn't take due to reasons already mentioned above. In both cases, I could have been a millionaire today but mistakes were made anslessons have been learnt.

I had many more experiences especially devastating ones in the crypto space which also involved me losing over $500 on futures trading since I was basically following signals blindly ag some point. After losing to a certain degree, I decided to out myself into learning fundamental and technical analysis and actually learnt a lot in the long run which allowed me to revived sme of my losses.. not all as that's gonna take some time. Afterall it's not a get quick scheme.
I'm glad I I able to find read.cash at the right time. Or perhaps read.cash found me and here I am today a proud member of the BCH community and a lover of the green bot called rusty @TheRandomRewarder.
Regardless of my mistakes, I've learnt a lot and did not allow those mistakes weigh me down. Instead, I kept on pushing forward and I'm still pushing until I attain the desired success to my satisfaction.

Certain mentalities regarding the female gender should be eliminated!

A lot of people (men and women) that grew up especially in the 19th and 20th century and even the lots in the 21st century have the very weird mentality that women are not meant to be considered as much and shouldn't have any such thing as a career or self dependence but should spend a majority of their time in the kitchen and on reproduction and taking care of children since that's the only area they seem to be useful.
I find this mentality a very absurd one that should be eradicated. Humans are divided into genders as each one has roles to play in the greater picture. One shouldn't be considered great and capable independence while the other is pulled down and reduced into a child bearing machine whose extra curriculum activities should be washing the plates and making food for the family while also serving as a sexual material when the need arises.
I Sincerely must disagree with this generalisation of the female gender. It's a mentality borne out of the need for the Male gender to feel superior. Superiority isn't forced but earned, hence equality should be allowed to a certain degree depending on how well a female is willing and able to break that chain of total dependence on the male gender.
Women education doesn't ends in the kitchen
I've seen and heard this several times but I refuse to agree with it. Just as men have a career path women have a career path too and even perform better than men when placed in certain positions due to their ability to multitask and function well under pressure provided their emotions are in check.
Cooking, dealing with the dishes and ensuring the home is in order isn't gender specific but is simply a necessary skill for survival, hence limiting these to women (wives) is the same as getting married to a lady simply because you're too lazy to do it yourself.
There's something called a maid if you need one!
Sometimes people need to be rehabilitated before they can come to realise that certain mentalities are being and should be thrown into the gutters.
Both men and women have a career path which they can chase after as they please henxe linking a certain gender to child care and home management is pure discrimination and removal of human right.
Women deserve to be treated better!

Been terribly busy lately hence the zeal to write an article here has been very low since I'm literally exhausted all day hence my typing fingers refuse to cooperate. To make matters worse, I hit my left elbow on the wooden dining chair about three nights ago. It's been a hell of pain ever since.
While I sat on the dining chair with PC on the table, I was doing some random typing when I decided to adjust my sitting position since I had been maintaining that posture for long and was no longer feeling comfortable. I raised myself slightly upwards in a bid to make myself comfortable when my hand suddenly went backwards and kaboom my elbow smashed against the the wooden head rest with full force.
The impact was so much that I could feel the pain in my head, my shoulder and down to my wrist and palm. As much as I wanted to scream I simply couldn't as it was past 11 pm and I didn't want to wake those that were already asleep. I simply held the pain within me and screamed into a piece of clothing. Within a few seconds my hands became numb from my elbow down to my palm and I couldn't feel anything anymore. It felt like my hand was no longer there. The impact must have struck a nerve.
My arm became numb and few seconds later I could feel a strange heat from my palm down to my fingers, almost like my hands were placed inside boiling water. I could literally feel the blood rushing in and out of my hands and it had a boiling effect which I had never felt before in my life. It was so weird and painful but I couldn't scream. I simply manned up and held the pain in. Within a few seconds it stopped and the pain began with full force.
The pain was so much that I had to move out of the dining room into the sitting room and began to roll on the couch. I normally would have rolled on the floor if it was rugged or tiled but it was a terrazzo floor hence it wouldn't be as convenient, I jumped unto the chair with pain all over me and began to roll on a spot while struggling with my elbow, The pain was so intense that I thought the arm was broken. It wasn't broken but swollen.
I have never felt that kind of pain in my life.
I still find it difficult to understand how my arm became numb for about two minutes and my palms became terribly hot that it began to burn almost like they were on fire. I almost lost my mind that night.
I was at the middle of typing something very important when it happened. After about few minutes of struggles, the pain reduced to a manageable extent and I carried myself back to the dining room. Unfortunately, the pain was so much that I could barely lift my arm. My fingers felt heavy as well. I tried lifting my phone with my left hand by my Samsung Galaxy A12 felt like I was lifting a rock. Oh my damaged arm, what have you done to deserve this.
In order to finish what I was typing that night, I had to use only one hand. You can already imagine how slow I was gonna be in that situation. Imagine having to type over 500 words with one hand. It's not so much and should be completed in a few minutes with two arms but with one, it took hours since I had never attempted anything like it before then. I had to type each letter one after the other and it felt like torture.
I stayed awake all night due to the pain and could barely find a comfortable position since the entire arm was in pain. I had to place a pillow below the arm at some point to ease the pain. It wasn't perfect but it helped to an extent.
This has been my best friend ever since. The hand was massaged the following morning after which I had to use paracetamol to supress the pain. My left hand became literally useless as I couldn't even perform an activity as simple as typing. Moving my fingers gave me pain, holding my phone was even worse. At least my right hand still exists so I'm not completely useless. Lol.
Though I'm not completely okay, I feel better than yesterday hence typing this article came at ease since I could use both hands provided the laptop is on the same horizontal component as my left arm. Using the arm is no longer a problem as long as I'm simply flexing my fingers over the keyboard, but raising it makes it feel heavy, almost like an additional weight has been applied.
Guess what?- I hit the hand on the same chair again yesterday afternoon. Though not as intense but pain already exists in the arm hence the little impact was very significant as it literally added to the previous.
I keep telling myself I'm gonna be fine- positivity at its finest!

I haven't been available for days thanks to life's stress and all. Had to squeeze through so I could write an article a few minutes ago. Life is a journey. We meet certain people at several points in life, make friends which may last forever and some not-so-much. Sometimes even the closest of friends can become strangers in the long run for no reasons at all or for reasons best known to a single party. Life is such that not everything can be controlled and we can only enjoy life while it lasts and observe as events play itself out.
While scanning through my Mega Drive for some of my pictures from the year 202o, I saw a lot of pictures from myself and best friend, as well as some from a friend I had met on an online language exchange App- Hello talk. I was improving my Japanese at the time, it was a perfect opportunity since the Covid-19 lockdown killed every activity and made life boring.
I had to keep myself busy by by interacting with Japanese peeps that were interested in improving their English speaking skills hence it was a win-win situation or something called a 'Quad pro quo'.
I met a beautiful young lady with whom I became friends with. We shared thought and experiences as we had something in common- Depression!
We both had great skill set and had lot of people looking unto us but the only problem was the depression which constantly pulled us down and messed with our self esteem to a certain degree. I guess we got close due to what we shared and maybe because it takes a depressed person to understand a depressed person.
She was a very talented artist and spent most of her time alone with her art work as it was her own way of recharging her social batteries.
Going through my drive brought memories of the time spent together on the virtual space. Hence, I'd be sharing some of her art work here to show just how talented she really is.
Painting on mirrors were her thing as it was her own way of expressing herself and maintaining sanity. We all have our own way of escaping reality, This was hers! She always wanted to be someone else in some far away place as she was tired of seeing the same toxic faces.
On completion, the below was sold for about ¥100,000 (Japanese Yen) at an art exhibition.

My favourite painting of hers along with the process was when she got hired by a music band to paint a cover photo for an album they were releasing. She was optimistic at the start but she encountered a problem of feeling she wasn't good enough even when she had all the talent one could ever wish for.
The problem with depression is that it makes you feel like there's something missing in your life even when there's none. You'd constantly feel like a part of you has been taken away and you want it back so badly that you'd begin to hate yourself and the people around you.
I've been there and I'm still there so I know what it does to you. At some point it looked like I was developing a personality disorder and my self esteem was going down the drain.
According to her, her closest friends had left as well and I was the only listening hear for whenever she wanted to talk about anything and everything. It wasn't easy for her.
Unfortunately, being a virtual friend was a limitation as I couldn't be there for her when she needed a friend to be physically present.
I didn't get to see the completed cover photo as our friendship went down the drain not too long after. The distance was a problem.
I haven't heard from her in a year now but I sincerely hope she's fine and okay wherever she is. I miss her and hope to hear from her soon.
I'd take a leap of faith in a few days and will try contacting her to see if she's doing great since I still have her direct contact. I miss her daily and I'd I sincerely hope she is okay.

The month of May was a roller coaster ride which I sincerely cannot explain. Thing happened so fast that I was basically being thrown here and there by the universe without understanding exactly what was going on. Within the twinkle of an eye the calendar told me May 31st, and within few seconds here we are- the First of June 2022. Wow! How time flies. Just yesterday we said happy new year and here we are- five months gone already and a lot of people are still trying to figure out exactly what's happening in their lives and where it's all leading. We may claim to know what we're doing but in the long run we sometimes realise we're wrong.
The month of may was basically rough. I was able to attain certain milestones, personal milestones which I had previously set and I'm glad I was able to. Though I couldn't meet up with all targets, yet I'm glad to be here. As long as time exists, I'd meet up with those milestones before I even know it. It all begins with a positive mindset and the ability to not give up.
Speaking of read.cash, the month of May was a bumpy ride. As much as I'd like to talk about how my effort is being tortured by my dear friend @TheRandomRewarder, I'd rather not. I'd simply talk about the little I was able to achieve after all it's not just about the earning but the activities like interacting, meeting new people, sponsorships, reading interesting contents and promoting Bitcoin cash in my own way. These little things matter a lot and I've been doing them in my own little way regardless of how busy I could get on most days.
**Sponsorships**
Compared to the last few months where I was unable to renew sponsorships and sponsor new people due to certain reasons such as the great dip and a decline in upvotes received in from rusty, I was able to push through the hurdles and renewed a few of those pending sponsorships while also sponsoring a few users. It's not so much an achievement so I can't brag about it.
My sponsors renewed their sponsorships as well, though not all due to certain reasons which I have no idea about but will mostly be due to the dip which makes everyone run out of funds quickly. Regardless, My sponsors are faithful and I'm glad to have them. I know they'd be renewing soon enough and I'd gladly wait. At the same time, I got sponsored by new peeps which makes things even more interesting. May Earnings
I'd rather not talk much about this as it's a mess. haha.. I didn't write everyday, and there were some days I wrote twice just to cover up. Altogether it was a roller coaster and my earnings wasn't up to half of what I earned in the previous months. The month of April was even better. May was a mess and I hope June wouldn't be a disaster. I'm looking up to @TheRandomRewarder for some positive change so I wouldn't have to give up entirely considering that about three of my articles this month were not upvoted- **Lesser known gods and goddesses in Greek Mythology** ($0.33), **Skipped church today** (upvoted but negligible- $0.62), and **Tuesday's rampage!** ($0.22). Some were upvoted but felt like they were forced. Regardless, I was still able to earn $110 from read.cash for the month of May, while I earned $60 from noise.cash which makes a total of $170 which is about 0.91 BCH at the current price. Though not up to my April earning but I'm grateful. I'm sincerely hoping this month will make things better.
Subscribers
At the time of writing I have 309 Subscribers. I'm not one to care about the number of followers since it can't exactly be controlled. I focus more on creating quality content which others will find useful, and doing extra interactions and engagements with articles apart from those I already constantly interact with, after which the subscribers may or may not come along. It can't be controlled, one can only speculate.
Boosting certain articles helped in adding more views and those views brought some subscribers in the long run based on how interesting they found those articles. Boosting isn't an assurance, it only brings more visibility which may or may not add to the number of subscribers but it helped to a certain percentage.
Conclusions
I earned 0.9 BCH from both read.cash and noise.cash, this is a higher amount BCH accumulated but of lower value in USDT due to the recent dip. In the long run this would be advantageous considering that BCH will soon begin the journey to $300 and higher. It simply takes time and only the patient will reap the reward.
I'm still looking to sponsor more people and renew other pending sponsorships in the first week of this month as I intend to have a good start and move along with the same momentum till the month runs out. Writing everyday should be my watchword for this month as well so I would be able to write a report for the month of June with shoulders raised sky-high courtesy of 'dear rusty!'

Do I have Covid once more? This is a question I've been asking myself for days now- I sincerely have begun to feel that way considering that for some days now my taste buds have suddenly vanished and I can barely grasp the taste of my favourite food except water probably because water has no taste. My usual foods seem to bore me lately and all I can take is just ice-cream and meat pie. I've been taking these for weeks as my appetite has reduced to zero and there's no helping it. Now Ice-cream no longer tastes like ice-cream but frozen water with a lot of sugar in powdery form- a very poor explanation haha.
Maybe I'm pregnant and maybe not- guys do not get pregnant, except evolution intends to take us there in the 22nd century. I'd rather not be alive by then or I'd find it weird. Will probably lose my mind if it ever happens and will jump into the sea to take myself out of the mystery.
I think the frustration from everything I've been through in the past few months is beginning to tell on me, perhaps messing with my emotions, my appetite and taste bud. there's no sure way to tell. I can only speculate and wouldn't get the right answers until I get to the hospital. Now everyone has been begging me to eat and has been asking me what's wrong and what's wrong?. I don't even know what's wrong so I keep saying nothing, nothing and nothing. I sincerely hope it's nothing!
Meanwhile, I broke my glasses a month ago and I've been struggling with focusing on objects. My glasses makes things smaller and clearer hence it's been tough since I broke it. I was so tired after the wedding I attended that slept off on the couch. Woke up thirty minutes later and packaged myself into the room. Woke up about a hour later to make a move and the 'kpam' sound came through. I was about to get up when I placed my weight on it and it broke. It happened that it fell off my face while I was asleep and the rest is history. I so hate it when I break my glasses. I've broken about four or five already- careless me!
Unfortunately, the glasses is so expensive that I can't afford another for now due to a lot of expenses on me at the moment- this country is draining me. I only told the optician my glasses is broken and said I'd come when I was ready for another. He'd help me with the glasses even if I didn't have the money now but I don't wanna mention. I'd simply wait till I can afford it as he's human too and I'm trying to be considerate. The country isn't fair to everyone so I'd rather not allow myself be a burden.
I should mention that the month of May is the worst in my months spent on read.cash- the earnings speaks for itself and I'd rather not go further. I'm so frustrated and I'm hoping for a change soon.
I have a lot of things I wanna rant about but I'm simply holding myself back- I'm 'pulling my punches' on this keyboard right now so I wouldn't turn this place to my punching bag for stress relief. I'd rather end this article here before I lose control. Hello everyone and good afternoon!

Writing with an unsettled mind is the most difficult thing ever in the world of difficulties. I've been on the draft page for over three hours but I just can't get myself to come to closure. My mind is literally all over the place- thinking about this and that, trying to put things in place while also trying to gather momentum for everything I'm working on. It's been messy so far and the information I need is just not coming through. I mostly get only half and the rest is nothing but mumbles Infos. It's really tiring.
Nothing is more tiring than doing the same thing over and over in different ways but nothing seems to come out of it. It's frustrating. I was able to get info from the bank concerning my business model. The bank staffs were nice to a certain degree and were able to give me what I needed but there were some limitations attached which I'd rather not mention. Once again- purpose defeated and I just can't get anyway around it.
I already said it before, this country is designed to keep your finance at bay (keep you poor), and it's the truth. No matter how hard you try to break even, some restrictions will affect your business and you'd have no choice but to relax and cancel to begin again. I'm still trying to get more information but frustration is written all over me already. I feel the need to run my mouth once more so I can feel better. Where is @Theblackdoll when I need her? I guess I'd have to message her on Telegram today perhaps she'd be willing to listen to my rants. I need someone to talk to so I can clear my head and perhaps feel better because at the time of writing, I feel moving but frustration all over me.
I'm considering talking to my virtual moms as well- @JustMyRambles01 and @Pachuchay perhaps they could advice me regarding certain things bothering me which I you wouldn't mention here. I call them my virtual mom. Though I've never mentioned it to them before now, but they are two women I respect very much and would like to words of advice from, especially since I have no mom in real life. Oh, how I miss my mom- it's been five years yet I still see her in my dream almost every night almost like she never left. I'd rather not go further.
So, my mind is basically not at rest, work today seems boring. Everyone asks about my health and I'm simply giving the "I'm getting better" response without any emotion expressed. It's not my fault, I'm simply a frustrated man, and this frustration is beginning to lead to depression. My colleagues are glad to see me after a week but.. maybe I'm not so happy to see them. Don't judge me- I'm simply trying to exist.
Speaking of existence- I heard a woman committed suicide last night because she was tired of life. She had everything, or almost everything. But according to the news, she kept saying she was tired of life as she feels there's no point living. She sees life as vanity and all her wealth and lifestyle wasn't special any more. She was beginning to see life as pointless and was tired of living in the loop. She decided to end her life, and so she did.
I wouldn't blame her- I feel that way many times too. I want to end it but something keeps telling me not to. You may not are but our lives are meaningless in the long run- we die and anothe regeneration will come forth and repeat the same process. In the end, I can say that the purpose of man is to 'live' and not to 'exist'.

Skipped church today

I had to give myself a break from read cash and all other things since Friday since my body has been asking for rest. As much as I want to interact with everyone write an article and have some fun outdoor, I just can't since my body has refused to cooperate with me- I hate it when it happens. I think it's the weather that's messing with me plus frustration which I mentioned in a previous article (A frustrated Nigerian's rant - From top to Bottom). Zero electricity, fuel scarcity, Increase in fuel price, $20 debit card Limit on international transaction which is affecting my business and many more. I'd rather not go further since I mentioned it already. Today is a Sunday, obviously. But guess what, I bailed out of church today - That's what happens when Batman Skips church (it's called a 'chn'stian Bale). Pun intended! @FashTioluwa and @VinceCharlie should get the joke as fellow Batman fans. Comic and anime lovers like @Jinifer would get it top.
Back to track - I stayed on bed while watching random Videos on youtube till past midnight Since sleep wasn't coming through. Told Best friend good night but had my eyes open till few minutes to 2 am or so- Guess what I finally fell asleep and didn't Wake up until past 8am..
Waking up by this time means I can no longer go to church since service begins by 9am and it takes me about one hour to dress up. That means I'd be fully dressed 9.30 or to 10- a far cry from the normal time a responsible Christian should go to church (based on my subjective opinion). I decided to stay back instead and simply remained on bed- Best friend mustn't know I skipped Church today or I'm so dead. At least I have some one I fear, or is it respect? I can't tell the difference.
I guess I'd simply have to ignore her message all through today as. I wouldn't want to be to lie to her. I can't bring myself to do that. Though I bend the truth on several Occasibris but I wouldn't lie (it's not so different but let's ignoreit). The only way she'd get to see this is if she decides to check if I wrote any article today. The possibility of this happening it very slim - a one out of one thousand ?1/1000) since she barely has any time to do so, and only does when I send them to her on request (she requests and I send), which means I'm safe from Sunday night's torture.
At the time of writing, I have a lot on my mind. I feel guilty not going to church but at the same time, I ask myself 'why'. As much as I wanted to go, my health does not allow me so it's not my fault. I'm simply feeling guilty because I also didn't go last week Sunday, and maybe because of the upbringing where 'not going to church' is considered a sin. I guess that's the major problem. I'll rather not do a debate on whether it a sin or not but will rather tell myself to relax and breathe since skipping wasn't a deliberate action - "I'm still a child of God. @pichi28 is a child of God too, and @Garrethgrey07, I can tell from their writing.
Long story short, everything makes me want to remain at home and enjoy this sick leave, and perhaps extend it but I'd rather not. I'd go to work tomorrow regardless of how I feel, and will push myself till I attain that perfection which I desire, after all I've rested enough.

Lesser known gods and goddesses in Greek Mythology

It is no secret that much of the popular Greek mythology centers around Zeus and his fellow Olympians, which is I’d be discussing five of the lesser-known gods and goddesses in Greek mythology.
**1. Eris the goddess of discord and strife**
The way the ancient Greeks would pronounce her name was Aries which is not too dissimilar than the way we would pronounce a God of War Ares. I'm sure there are some of you who may be more familiar with her Roman equivalent Discordia, and for those who are unaware of what strife and discord means it refers to anger, bitterness, hostility, and disagreement. You can probably already start to imagine what type of goddess Eris was.
Homer’s interpretation of Eris was as a daughter of Zeus and Hera. Homer then describes her as the sister and companion of Ares. At first, she was only a tiny thing but as she followed her brother witnessing war and all the things that came with it, she grew so big that when she walked the earth her head could touch the heavens. She would then rain down bitterness and pain upon mankind.
Hesiod describes her as the daughter of night meaning the goddess Nyx. In Hesiod's interpretation, she's described as “bringing forth all the struggles of mankind personified as her children”. She gave birth to hardship, starvation, pain, battle, war, and so on. Hesiod lists the whole manner of horrid things continues endlessly.
**2. Enyo the goddess of war, conquest, and bloodlust**
Homer regarded Enyo and Eros is the same goddess but there are several tales that make a clear distinction between the two deities. Enyo is often seen following Ares into battle but her relationship with the goal of war varies from sister to wife to even mother in some stories. There are some accounts of Ares going by the title of Enyalius, but this was also the name of the son that he had with Enyo, a son that would later go on to adopt his father's role as God of War.
The exact role that Enyo played in war was that of destruction she would orchestrate the fall of cities following Ares and his sons into battle. She's often depicted as a heavily armoured woman with a sword and shield similar to her Roman counterpart Bellona. Enya was a fierce and bloodthirsty goddess and almost definitely not one that you'd wish to encounter.
**3. Asclepius**
The god of medication, rejuvenation, and well-being. Asclepius was seen as the god of physicians, a skill that he would learn at a very young age. When he was born his father Apollo took him to the Centaur Chiron who would teach in the art of medicine, a skill that he would then transfer to his daughters who was seen as the personification of medicine and healing.
He was often depicted as holding a rod or staff that was encircled by a serpent. The Asclepius snake was named after the god and it's a species of non-venomous snake that became associated with medicine and healing. Unfortunately for Asclepius, he would later be killed by Zeus when he accepted payment to bring back the son of Theseus from the dead.
There are tales where Zeus later resurrected Asclepius in order to avoid any conflict with Apollo. Asclepius was allowed to continue his trade as long as he promised to never resurrect the dead without permission.
**4. Rhadamanthys, Minos, and Aiakos**
Rhadamanthys, Minos and Aiakos were all once the mortal sons of Zeus credited to have established law and order on earth. Upon their deaths, they were granted the role of judges by Hades, and they would essentially maintain law and order in his domain. As a trio they would judge the souls that entered the underworld deciding if they would be punished or sent to the Elysium fields, each judge would be assigned an individual role.
Aiakos was the guardian of keys and would primarily judge the men of Europe. Rhadamanthys would rule over the Elysium fields and was charged with judging the men of Asia. Minos the once great king of Crete was the third and final vote. If the first two judges could not come to a decision, then Minos’s vote was final.
**5. Phorcys**
The son of Pontus and Gaia and one of the oldest gods of the sea. Depictions of Phorcys normally resembles an older man with the lower half of a crab and sometimes a tail of a fish. Phorcys’s wife Ceto may not feature in many stories, but many of the most iconic creatures and figures in Greek mythology are often attributed as their children ranging from Medusa and the Gorgons to Scylla an Echidna.
This naturally led to Phorcys being seen as the god of large sea creatures. So next time you encounter a story of an enormous monster of the sea and, then there’s a good chance that Phorcys may have been the father.

Though the third was entertaining, the first released in 2000 is the only one in the franchise that holds up. The film follows Alex Browning who is embarking on a trip to Paris with his school. But, while on the plane he experiences a premonition of the plane exploding right after take-off. In a panic him and six others get off, with the plane exploding just moments after.
Following that, all seven passengers that left the plane must fight to cheat death as it hunts them down in the order they would have died on the plane.
The first film is excellent, as there’s novelty in its concept. However, the rest of the franchise falls flat, with them essentially being a gore fest. The series is noteworthy among other films in the horror genre in that the antagonist is not a stereotypical slasher but is instead Death personified. Manipulating circumstances in the environment to kill off the heroes.

This movie is an absolute classic and perhaps one of my all-time favourite teen slasher movies. Released in 1998. This film follows a university that is beset by a rash of gruesome murders that resemble classic Urban Legends, leaving the college campus transformed into the hunting ground for a crazed killer.
What makes it so great is that numerous comparisons can be made between the film and Wes Craven’s Scream. Though it received negative reviews from critics, it was a financial success, and was incredibly entertaining for fans of the slasher genre. Even if you’re not a fan of this movie, the opening scene will sends shivers down your spine- as a young teen leaves a gas station in the middle of the night with the stuttering clerk yelling after her that someone is in the back seat.

Released in 1997, this American slasher is a classic, and a fan favourite even to this day. A year after running over a fisherman and dumping his body in the water, four friends reconvene when one of them receives a frightening letter stating, “***I know what you did last summer***”. What ensues is the battle between a group of teens and a man with a meat hook for a hand. It’s grisly, and bloody, and just downright amazing.
Like most of the other movies on this list*, ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer*’ comes from the same self-aware, witty, slasher horror style as Scream, and it was even penned by the same writer.
The film is very 90’s, yes, but that’s not a bad thing. Many elements of the film have stood the test of time and the slow-walking murderer and brutal kills though a classic slasher trope till holds up.

When you think teen horror, you think Halloween. Aside from this, Halloween may just be the most important and influential teen slasher to date. It follows deranged killer Michael Myers, 15 years after he brutally killed his 17-year-old sister and was subsequently locked away for 15 years.
He breaks free from his restraints and heads back to his hometown, Haddonfield, Illinois, hunting for his next victim.
But why exactly is this film so popular? Upon its release in 1978, John Carpenter’s horror-thriller became the most successful independent movie of all time, setting the bar high for modern horror movies. While Carpenter wrote the majority of the screenplay himself, producer Debra Hill wrote the dialogue between the three female high school leads, which gave it authenticity. It’s funny and believable. Not only that, but the film itself is still highly influential to this day.
While the slasher formula has been duplicated repeatedly, Carpenter’s distinct style continues to inspire young filmmakers. From synth music, retro feel, and audio-visual aesthetic, you can find influence of his work in many films and tv shows today.

Scream has gone down in history as one of the greatest slasher horror films to date. And was arguably the most influential trailblazer in the slasher subgenre, with an iconic final girl at its helm.
Now upon its release in the 90’s, the slasher genre had all but died down, creating an opening for a brand new, blood-thirsty horror, and as we know, slashers are a hit with the teens. Now, what set Scream apart was that it approached the genre with a meta-awareness, something that was so vastly different for horror films at the time.
It was transparent about horror movie tropes, gifting us with a group of characters that were painfully aware of the slasher genre, and what comes with that. Scream ultimately ushered in a wave of 90’s teen horror, and meta films, and was arguably one of the most influential films in the slasher genre.

Today was another day full of frustration due to the economy that has gone to hell thanks to a dysfunctional government. I wouldn't go further on ranting on how bad the governing bodies are, I'd simply get to my point and express myself in a bid to feel better. These days I've lost interest in a lot of things and I'm tired of everything and the direction the nation is going. I'm normally not one to care but since it has begun to affect my life and my business in every way, I have to express myself in the little way I can so I can feel a bit better at least for the moment or I may not find sleep tonight.
Fuel scarcity is beginning to torture me due to the environment I've found myself- zero electricity since January and nobody cares to do anything about it. I've said this several times already and it's beginning to look like I'm ranting over the same thing over and over.
Laptop been dead since last night, both phones dead, power bank dead, generator has been out of fuel. If only I could run it on water maybe I wouldn't be complaining. It turns out that only one filling station is selling fuel in the entire city- I'm still on sock leave (a saving grace or not) so I went there this morning and waited for hours with the hope that my turn would come soon. It was almost my turn when they declared that "***fuel has finished***". Oh lord!
The stress began to tell on me- the frustration from the previous days were still in me and I was simply pushing through- this added to my problems as I had to just return home with all devices dead which is disadvantageous for my business. I would be receiving a lot of calls and should be making some myself. It was frustrating.
There's only one solution at hand- Black market.
It's something I normally wouldn't consider an option, unfortunately the situation has made it the only choice considering that the only filling station that sold fuel in the city had suddenly run out of fuel. Or maybe they decided to stop selling until later- whichever the case may be, the information given cannot be disputed.
I halted the nearest bike man and told him to take me to the nearest black market location. Well, he did. The standard rate for petrol was about 165 Naira per litre. Unfortunately, these guys sold theirs for 500 per litre. Damn! The audacity to take advantage of the scarcity- a messed up country init. The citizens are no better.
I bought fuel worth 2000 Naira, unfortunately the keg that normally gets filled with that amount from the filling station didn't even get to the quarter mark from the black market. It looked like I had bough fuel of 500 Naira and there was nothing I could do about it. After all I signed up for it.
I bought the fuel, asked the bike man to take me to Chicken republic where I bought a medium sized ice-cream plate and two meat-pies. Returned home afterwards, put on the generator, has ice-cream and off to bed I went. I skipped breakfast as I was out of appetite already. This was about 2.30 pm.
The ice-cream didn't taste like ice-cream either. I wasn't myself and till now, I'm still not me. I'm lacking appetite and I'd simply go to bed without having a taste of whatever is available in the kitchen.
Maybe I'd wake up feeling better tomorrow and maybe not. The sunrise will tell.
I know my rant make no sense- pardon me. I'm simply a frustrated man.
Filipino Mythology Water Creatures

**1. Sirena**

Mermaids also made it to the Philippines, it was called Sirena, Half-human, half-fish. It is said that these creatures are mostly in the river rather than the sea and a beautiful warmth voice. There were too many stories about the said creatures but like the western counterpart, these Sirenas or mermaids appear to be a beautiful woman who liked to comb their hair on a bright night.
Though there were no accounts of actually seeing one people, from the Philippines actually experienced some force in the river that tried to drag them. They say that it was the spirit of the Sirena or the Sirena themselves since they are being disturbed by the people who are swimming in their habitat.
Although experienced, no one has actually seen what was really pulling them down. It could be the current or it could be some sort of a thing or maybe a Sirena.
**2. Siyokoy**

Siyokoy or merman is the counterpart of Sirena. But unlike Sirena, they do not have any beautiful bodies nor resemble any human face. Siyokoy are creatures straight out of your nightmare. Although some account states that there are Siyokoy that look like Sirena, it could be that they just use their magic to appear beautiful like the mermaids.
They have scaled legs and web feet; they also have long green tentacles, and their body is covered with scales more like fish. Usually, the merman or Siyokoy drains fishermen and consume them as food.
**3. Kataw**

Kataw is a merfolk in Philippine mythology. It is believed that Kataw holds higher ranks than other sea creatures such as Sirena. It is believed that Kataw is part of the royalty of the sea world.
Kataws are not like Sirena. They closely resemble humans; they have normal body and have legs but have have gills on their bodies and fins in their arms. These help them to swim faster and breathe underwater.
Kataw also holds the ability to manipulate water, they can bring waves, throw waters, and create bubbles. It is said that they can also change their water into ice. They are actors as well.
One of their most common acts is to lie helplessly underwater like they are cast away of some ship or just drowning. Usually, fisherman fall for this approach and will attempt to help them but once approached they grab the hands of the fishermen and quickly swims down while drowning and killing the victim and of course eating them.
**4. Mameleu**

Mameleu is another one of the water creatures. This creature is said to be a large reptilian with hard and resistant scales. It belongs to the serpent family, and it is said that these creatures have a body that is the size of a buffalo.
Thinking about it from perspective, the buffalo is rather small but that is just the width of this monster's belly not the actual length. Like other sea monsters, it lies deep within the ocean.
They have a fiery eyes and long fangs. When they are hungry, they spit green water in its surroundings. It could be that this green water is to attract fishes in its vicinity or since it lives deep in the ocean, it could be that these green waters are luminous instead of tracking fishes. Whatever the case is, that green water is used to hunt prey.
**5. The Beberoka**

The Beberoka is a fierce creature that came from Philippine folklore. It is said to be a woman and is more related to nymphs of water elements. They are cannibalistic water creatures. these water fairies or water monsters can suck the entire water out of a pond.
They once terrorized the people of the Philippines and these creatures’ home is the river. They like to lie in and wait for their victim, usually these creatures drain the water of the pond or river making the water lower and the fish will be seen easily. A wandering fisherman seeing those many fish easy to catch will be lowered in and that is the time the perfect time for the Beberoka to strike. Once the fisherman is in the river, the Beberoka will unleash all the water, drowning the fisherman and swallowing him whole.
It is also believed that these creatures would suck the water and use it to attack their pray nearby. Think of it like a fire truck hose- the pressure will knock off their prey and they will drag it to watery depth and consume them you.

**1. Orphiotaurus**

A Orphiotaurus is a creature that can kill a god. It is a half serpent, half bull creature. It essentially resembles a snake but has the head of a bull. The creature possesses the power to kill a god but slaying the Orphiotaurus and burning the entrails would give whoever burns them immense power.
It is believed that the Titans acquired this beast during the war of the Olympians, a gift from Uranus and Gaia. When the Titans attempted to burn the entrails, they were intercepted and retrieved by an eagle of Zeus ensuring that a Titan secret weapon could never be used.

Telchines are the original inhabitants of the islands of Rhodes, Crete in Cyprus. There are quite a few stories of how the Telchines came to exist. The most common being that thy were the children of Gaia and Pontiffs’- the earth and the sea. However, some believe that much like the Erinyes they were born from the blood of Uranus when he was castrated.
The appearance of the Telchines is quite odd. To say the least, they were said to have the head of a dog, but instead of hands and feet they had flippers. They are believed to have invented metalworking, creating the sickle that Cronus used to castrate his father and the iconic Trident of Poseidon.
Though how they were able to craft these items considering they had flippers for hands I don't really know, it became quite common for Telchines to use sorcery to imbue the objects they created with immense power.
**3. Empusa**

Believed have been one of the many follows commanded by Hecate, Empusa was a shape-shifting female with flaming head of hair. In the earliest accounts Empusa was described as a demigoddess with many speculating that she was in fact the daughter of Hecate. It is believed that she feasted upon young men when they slept by seducing them into her bed before devouring their flesh.
There has been some debate about the exact translation of her name with many agreeing that it derived from a term meaning ‘one-footed’ which is why we often see her with one leg made of brass and the other leg being that of a donkey. So, if Empusa was more of a goddess than a creature then why is she on this list?
In the years that followed, she was somewhat downgraded from a goddess to a species of creature known as the Empousai- a group of demon spirits that took the form of beautiful women in order to devour young men, so essentially the Greek version of a vampire.
**4. Ladon**

The serpentine dragon that was in the golden apples in the garden of asperities. There is some debate surrounding the parents of Ladon, but he's generally described as being the son of Typhon and Echidna. Ladon appeared as a large dragon with numerous heads that wrapped and twisted itself around the tree where the golden apples grew. The name Ladon may sound fairly familiar to some of you and that's because he featured in the twelve labours of Heracles.
Now in some accounts the serpent is described as so terrifying that even Heracles did not dare to face the beast, so he instead had the Titan Atlas collect the apples for him. In the other version of the tale, Heracles did venture into the garden and after an epic encounter he would eventually overcome Ladon. It said that the day after, Jason and his Argonauts passed through the garden on their return from Colchis. Named off the mountains of Caucasus that it called home, the Caucasian eagle was a gigantic eagle sent by Zeus to feast upon the liver of Prometheus as punishment for giving fire to mankind and even though Prometheus’s liver would regenerate, the Eagle would return the next morning and repeat the process.
There have been various accounts regarding the appearance of the Eagle. Sometimes being described as a bronzed automate hand-made by Hephaestus and others believe the Eagle was a horrid looking creature spawn from the mother of monsters herself Echidna. When Heracles eventually came to free Prometheus, he would slay the eagle by firing a volley of arrows at the Eagle.

So I bailed out of work today as planned. I slept super early last night as I was going through a lot of stress- headache has been my best friend for the past few weeks and I sometimes wish I could run away from work. The money is necessary init. Yeah, but my health is more important. What's the point of the money when you're already dead. You can't spend money in heaven, neither can it be spent in hell. Well, I'm not going to hell so I'd rather not talk about what happens there. I'm not willing to find out either.
I opened my eyes and it was a few minutes past 8am, no calls from work- I consider it a good thing considering that I haven't decided what the excuse is gonna be and how I'm gonna defend myself when Mr. Alex calls. Well, a call didn't come in until past 10am. I was under the sheets at that point and was waiting for breakfast in bed from '**you know who**'.
I hesitated to pick the call initially and when I finally did, I had to sound like I was shivering and my voice was caught in the rampage. He asked why I wasn't at work and what was going on. Long story short- I lied. "I woke up sick, I can't even get out of bed. I think it's malaria". I didn't exactly say it like that but it's just an illustration. I made sure my voice was incoherent and had to fake a cough at some point. "Take your time. I think it's the weather that's making everyone sick these days. Take care of yourself", he said and kaboom... the rest was history.
I jumped out of bed shortly after and went to my in-house office where I jumped unto outsiders tv on Telegram and downloaded a horror movie which I'd use to keep myself busy, and perhaps draw inspiration from it for my next horror story on the platform where I get paid to write stories.
I'm glad I bailed from work for today because I need that rest. I have a striking headache and I have begun to forget things easily lately. The depression is a part of me already so I'd rather not talk about it. I even miss depression whenever it doesn't come for a week, I feel like a part of me is lost which I need to regain. Once it comes back, I feel at peace again knowing that 'my depression is back'. Do not tag me crazy. It's '**my depression**'.
One moment I'm unto a task, and the next I suddenly forget what I was doing or what I want to do next. I'd have to wait for two to three minutes before my brain reboots. All a consequence of excess mental stress. I'm considering quitting my job but if I do, it will make me an idiot. I mean- now is the time I can work and gather what I can from doing a conventional job while also earning from online platforms like noise.cash, read.cash and some other which I'd rather not mention, while investing where necessary and blah blah.
Quitting will make me a loser. Unfortunately, my mental health is at stake and I need therapy as soon. The problem is- I sometimes feel like something is missing in my life even when I feel comfortable to a certain degree. Maybe rest is lacking, or human relation (I'd rather be alone than be friends with unintelligent wankers), or perhaps being tired of this country is what has begun to affect my health. The heat is another factor which influences my ability to think and causes me to forget things often due to my poor heat resistance.
Surprisingly, I don't sweat in the heat, I simply feel hot within and headache follows suit, then hallucinations- I see things that aren't there and blah blah.. maybe I'm developing mental issues and maybe it's not just the heat. I think it's not so bad provided I don't make it known and still manage to keep my cool on the outdoors. A person with mental issues wouldn't know it and wouldn't be able to
Right now, I have no idea what I need. Rest or therapy via a psychiatrist or a psychologist. I can't even tell the difference anymore. May be I'm not so smart and my intelligence is simply overrated

Everybody faces distraction, and we all deal with it in our own way. While we study or do something important, we end up watching tv on Netflix or surf through the internet or watch the social media and at last we feel guilty about a wastage of time. Here are some of the methods to deal with distractions
**1. Sticky Note**
This is a proven and to be effective tip to deal with distraction. While you study, you remember many things such as to call a friend or write a diary or do an assignment or draw a flow chart and you end up being confused and stuck in what to do next. For example, you remember that you have to do a math problem ‘2.1’, so write down the exercise number ‘2.1’ and stick it into a study table or the right corner of your laptop. In this way when you finish your study or something important you will do the math problem. This will help you to remain focus in your goals and you will be less distracted as much as possible and you will be happy.
So if you get distracted while studying online or doing something important just paste the sticky note in the right corner of your laptop and you will remember it.
**2. Download required documents**
Download the required or the necessary files in your computer and stop the internet network in this way you will be less distracted by social media or will stop getting attracted to it. You just must download the file or click a screenshot or print it out. This way some of the distractive things will get out of your way and you will stick to your goals.
**3. To-do list**
I know it is a very common method told by many people, but I will tell you a different method to make a to-do list. Here are the rules- don't write too much of tasks or activity in your to-do list which will demotivate you and make you end up doing nothing.
There is a new effective technique to build your to-do list. This is by categorizing your to-do list into three forms**- least important, important, and most important**.
In this way you will be able to categorize your to-do list. Also, you will not be confused on what to do next you will simply do the most important first and then the important and then the least important. This will help you focus on your goals and also you will be able to complete all the tasks in one day and you will feel happy but not guilty.
So make sure that you follow all the rules while making your to-do list and your to-do list will be the best and you will stay motivated all the time.
**4. Reward yourself**
Rewarding yourself is the best way to trick your brain into doing the important work. You can give yourself a reward while completing a work or an important task. Reward yourself for being motivated or being happy. You can reward yourself your favourite music or eat your favourite snack, it's all on you. In this way you will be focused to your goals and will complete your goals easily.

I feel like being sick sometimes influences my ability to think. It makes me think better, faster and smarter. It allows me push my emotions aside and face the truth, the reality of life which I'd rather not talk about. The same way I think better and work with more discipline during my episodes of depression.
As a person who has gone through a lot of pain in the past and has cried out his heart on several occasions, I realise that our emotions are nothing but our weaknesses. @Olasquare may disagree as we've had this conversation about five months before now on noise.cash or so.
I feel your emotions make you vulnerable, makes you weak, and doesn't allow you see the greater picture before you. The greater picture of- "everything burns". I see a lot of people refuse to accept the fact that certain things are beyond our control and that regardless of our actions or decisions, we'd still lose what we're meant to, and gain or retain what we can.
Sometimes we just have to sit it out and observe instead of interfering with everything for one simple reason- we can't change anything. We can only try but who are we if the programmer says he wants otherwise. The programmer called 'god' with a capital 'g'.
In the end, we are nothing but programs init!
Programs that try as much as possible to convince ourselves that we are sentient beings capable of being free. We try to escape the earth often via rockets and explore the nearest universe while searching for answers that aren't there, and never stop to think if this is also a part of our programming- to search till we die but never find an answer.
Sometimes I wonder where it's all gonna end. I wonder if I'd be part of the civilisation that goes to mars. If I am, then would I conclude that I was programmed by the creator to do so?- Food for thought.
Wondering where it will all end makes me wonder what my purpose is. I have tried as much as possible to not interfere in any major event in this timeline, thus avoiding any nexus event or anomaly. I simply prefer to watch from a distance to see where it's all going and what event will take place after this.
I feel like my purpose in life is not to interfere but to see where it will all end.
An example will suffice- instead of falling in love, I'd choose to let her be and see who she's gonna end up with if not me. Instead of advising, I'd choose to ignore to see where it will end without my advice. Instead of helping a baby falling from his or her mom's back when I can, I'd choose to not help to see if the baby will survive the fall without my help.
After all, my purpose has been defined and I simply want to watch the alternate outcome. Instead of interfering, I ask myself the question 'what if I wasn't here, wouldn't they live their lives?'. I tell myself 'observe from a distance and let's see what happens next'. But for what reason? I can't say. Maybe the creator has programmed me to be this way- maybe, maybe not.
I don't know anything, I'm just speculating.
My purpose is beyond the understanding of a lot of people, peeps which I'd rather not mention in a bid to not cause an uprising.
Speaking of uprising, I sometimes feel like my purpose is also to casually cause an uprising by default and simply watch the drama unfold. I'd rather not do so tonight but will remain the gentle me- a broken boy whose childhood was taken away before it even began, a victim of circumstance whose heart will never heal from the trauma of losing loved ones while growing up.
Yes, I'm a broken boy and I know it. My emotions died a long time ago and I do not intend to bring it back to life by doing something as stupid as falling in love. I believe in logic over emotions and I'd rather not go further.
You may judge what I consider my purpose in life, but I'd rather not if I were you. I'd say- go create yours.

10pm at the time of writing. Been on sick bed for two days now and it's been really inconvenient. Been writing from a ground state which isn't very healthy, I've simply been pushing through with hundreds of possibilities playing itself in my head regarding how it will all end.
Perhaps I'd sleep and ascend to higher planes via a dream of no return or perhaps my eyes will be open and I'd simply cease to exist. I'd rather not think too much about such things after all the purpose of man is to live and not exist- whatever that means.
Existence is nothing but a privilege. Our right you may say, but I'd rather not, as we are simply granted favour by whoever gave us life, consciousness, and existence.
Speaking of existence, I sometimes question the concept of man's existence and the purpose behind it. One moment you're alive, and the next you're gone for no plausible reason.
Another man down in the history of 'man down'.
And it continues- the rage, the fever, the feeling of powerlessness that makes good men cruel.
Cruelty is just like cultism, not necessarily evil but can be considered a threat to whoever doesn't share the same point of view.
Like BTC maximalists, they are considered cultists in my opinion based on their strong belief in the existence of one true currency as a store of value, means of exchange, and their willingness to support whatever comes out of it- well, except forks like $BSV and $BCH fork, which they consider a copy without a real purpose, without opening their eyes to the infinite possibilities one could achieve with BCH.
I could say they are wrong, but what if they are right? Considering the volatility of BCH and its inability to maintain long term stability, thus throwing 'store of value' into the wind.
I stand with Bitcoin cash (BCH), but at some point you'd no longer know what to stand for considering the events of the past weeks and past month.
I'd rather not go further or I'd probably be misunderstood once again by certain individuals due to their high level of unintelligent and overbearing arrogance.
Such names that begin with an inverted 7 and ends with the opposite of nasty and unpleasant. You got it right? Nice!
People that want to be seen and heard at all cost by acting like a predator when they're actually the prey, a racoon and not the hawk, a deer and not the lion, a puppet and not the puppeteer, a dummy and not the ventriloquist.
Writing a long and meaningless narrative in a bid to be seen as big and almighty, forgetting that respect and power isn't forced or bought, but earned by doing the right thing the right way. At this point I can say that the integrity of this platform and that of whoever is behind it has completely diminished to a point of no return, it is now at a point of zero trust and accountability, and in the next few months (I'd rather not give exact values) it will all be over.

It's my definition of zero accountability from whoever is behind the reward system and something called favouritism.
Contrary to popular beliefs about the rewards being random, the rewards are no longer random but deliberately given to a certain percentage who have nothing to offer their readers but complain about how badly their day went and how the flowers in their garden reflects the beauty of nature, and blah blah.

I have considered the recent downfall in upvotes a deliberate act to torture my effort even when the quality of my articles have improved with a higher percentage of research based articles and top 10's and 5's of this and that, which provides value for the readers as opposed to articles about 'how a water bottle fell off my table and flooded my apartment thus resulting in being evicted by my wicked landlady'.
I see a lot of articles like that and it's just nonsensical. After reading such articles, I ask myself- 'now what?'. Value wasn't added, it was just another day of reading through thousands of zero quality articles because of something called BCH.
In the end, I can conclude that the popular and trending marketing of read.cash comes with the statement-"*write whatever comes to mind as long as it's not plagiarized and you'd be rewarded. Rusty can't tell the difference*".
A very wrong way of onboarding new users to a blogging platform that began with a high level of integrity and accountability.
Now, nobody seems to care anymore and all we see is zero value and meaningless content.
It would cost me nothing to do the same, and I will as from tomorrow. I'd simply wake up in the morning and write about how I couldn't sleep at night but rolled from one edge of my bed to the other. Don't blame me, writing such articles pay more than writing articles than add values.
I will no longer stress myself to write accurately, neither will I bother to read anyone else's articles since it makes no difference.
Views and interaction no longer matters, comments died a long time ago and each writer/reader on this platform has his or her own favourite. So why bother myself when the result will be the same regardless of effort.

I'm so stressed at the time of writing. It's few minutes to midnight as I write but I simply have to do the writing right now since there's no better time. Tomorrow is a Sunday, I'm gonna be going to church since I already turned a new leaf, I changed my ways and decided I wouldn't be missing Sunday services. After some time I'd decide to not miss Tuesday bible study and lots more- it's all part of growth as I can't focus too much on the things of the world and not build myself spiritually, After all, I need to be recognised by the creator, the maker of all things that exists and ever existed.
I do not intend to bore you with religious talks and my preference regarding a choice of lifestyle and whatchamacallit, I'd rather not. I'm simply running my hands over my keyboard while stating what comes to mind in a desperate bid to make this moment pass quickly so I can be done with this article and drift off to dreamland.
As much as I want to write an article based on research, I can't. My head aches massively and it feels heavy, almost like an extra weight has been added. This is messing with my ability to think, which in turn affects my ability to write an article that requires proper analysis of information and blah blah. I'd rather not go into details since the majority of you reading this already know how writing based on research works. Well, unless the majority of peeps that read my articles belong to the group that write no effort articles such as "I slept, and woke up, and had dinner and slept again" and blah blah, plus random pictures of flowers in the environment which in no way adds value to the readers.
Point is- isn't our articles meant to be about adding values to whoever reads them? The answer is obvious, unfortunately certain people wouldn't agree. The statement would be "we can write anything as long as @TheRandomRewarder agrees by saying hi with its upvotes". What can I say- Perhaps they're right.
Oopsie! Looking at my time and I see it's three minutes past 12 already, which means it's a new day, a Sunday, the day of the lord. I shouldn't be awake by this time but drifting away in dreamland so I can gather enough energy. After all, it's the day of the lord and church shouldn't be missed!
