On our way home,we passed by a coffee shop in Carcar ,Cebu called Lokal Brew. My daughter's friend recommended this coffee shop and we had tried it and it's good. The shop is along our way home so we passed by and bought some coffee. I also bought one for me , a Fraffe which is salted caramel coffee. It's yummy too. We bought some cold Kabkad coffee which were placed in a recyclable bottles to be brought home.. We were reminded to bring back the bottles the next time we buy…

Lunch It's lunch time my dear friends. The pork chops with onions were cooked. I also cooked misua with sardines. Actually I opened a can of sardines this morning for almusal with bread but there're still a lot left so I made it into a soup, a misua soup for lunch. Sunset at Sumilon Island. I want to share this sunset photo at Sumilon Island in Cebu. I waited for the sunset at the sandbar because I have read that it's beautiful to watch the sunset at this area. Indeed it was an amazing sight watching the sun slowly coming down until it's not seen anymore. It's a beautiful afternoon for me. I had a good nap and rested well. When I went out of my room my eldest daughter and hubby were at the dining table getting ready for snacks. I had a different snacks from them because I saw that there was still some chicken curry left. I made a bowl of curry rice and ate a good merienda.

Life on a fallen tree. I found this fallen tree lying on the ground. What's interesting is that you can see life. There were some sprouts appearing on its trunk. The tree may appear dead but actually it's still alive. Maybe there are still roots attached to the ground. I wanted to check but it was so difficult to get close so I just took some photos. This photo was taken at Lokal Brew, a coffee shop located in Carcar, south of Cebu. I was waiting outside the coffee shop and my daughter's partner took the photo of me sitting outside. I ordered a frappe to cool down the hot day. Many locals love their coffee blends, it's so creamy. We also bought 3 bottles of coffee to be brought home for my eldest daughter and her hubby, there's an extra bottle for bunso or her partner. I enjoyed drinking my frappe.

Sea lettuce I found this unique flower in the island resort. I was so amazed with this little white flowers which are split into half. The bush has a fleshy green leaves and when you get closer , the little flowers looked like only half. It's lunch time my friends. Kain na po tayo ng tanghalian. Naka luto na po ako ng chicken fingers and chicken malunggay soup . I used the chicken bones with a little meat in my soup and added fresh malunggay leaves from the garden. I missed eating malunggay soup, so I gathered fresh malunggay leaves. I felt some headache after lunch so I took 1 biogesic. I rested but could not sleep because it's so hot. I ate some graham crackers and drank my lemon water. Snack time na rin pala. It's dinner time. My daughter cooked for our dinner while I rested. She cooked kare kare with limited vegies ( only beans and banana heart or puso ng saging). She also cooked crispy pork adobo which she made a little salty because we don't have shrimp paste. It was a good meal. I ate a lot. Kumain na po ba kayo my friends? Kain na po. Dendrobium I found these beautiful orchids when my friends and I went to a resort far from the city where we stayed for a night. That was long before pandemic started. I finally finished washing a few pieces of my laundry. I hope it won't rain because I hanged it outside to let the water drip by gravity. My housemates are all busy with their work from home schedules. I cooked chicken for dinner and also crab and corn soup.We did not eat together this time because some had meetings yet. Quesadilla Today is a "No Rice" day at home. We were having a Cheesy Beef Quesadilla for dinner. Thanks to my daughter who was very kind to prepare our food. Smoked Fish I was craving to eat smoked fish or tinapa. I used to eat this when I was still working in Manila. I loved its smoky flavor. I'm glad that I found an online seller here in our city selling tinapa. I ordered this morning and it was delivered this afternoon. I hope this taste good. I only fried it. Bananas A fruit vendor can be heard from afar as he was shouting "saging" or bananas. I went out just at the gate and checked on him. Chicharon This morning my kumadre and kumpadre who are owners of Baguio Meat Store delivered to us the meat we ordered. My son-in-law also ordered chicharon from them. Bicol Express The girls ordered a Canned Bicol Express which is a product of Plantation Bay when they ordered our groceries online last week. I have been interested taking photos when I started noise. I saw the post of everyone and I am so amazed with their photography. I used to just click and click without even thinking of the outcome. Lunch is ready. Come let's eat. I cooked chicken tenders and sotanghon soup . I only had 1 chicken breast . I sliced the meat and marinated it with salt , garlic and pepper then dipped in flour mixture before frying. I sautéed onions, garlic and ginger with the chicken bones for the soup and added carrots and sotanghon. When the soup is almost done, I removed the bones and separated the meat from bones. Sharing what I had for my late breakfast. I had some pasta inside the ref which I reheated. I also found 3 slices of old bread which I kept in the ref to preserve it. I had it toasted with butter. Late breakfast is good and already eaten by yours truly. I also made coffee with milo and milk to complete my meal. My bunso is preparing our lunch so I can do some laundry. Lunch I just can't get enough of pasta! Here's another kind of pasta for lunch, fusilli carbonara with fried bacon and garlic bread. It's a creation of my bunso. It's so yummy and creamy. The garlic bread was special because she used fresh grilled garlic and butter. I also got 1 piece of chocolate chip cookie which bunso is selling to her friends.
