I always remember this place which is located in the southern part of the province. I find this area a scenic spot because as you drive into that part of the highway, the acacia trees along the road were bending towards the center of the road sheltering and covering the roadways. It's amazing to see nature at its best when we pass this area. Have you seen similar sceneries? The branches and leaves of the trees on the opposite sides of the road are meeting in between giving a shaded roadway. Do you know why the trees behave this way? From what I learned, it is because of phototropism, which is defined as "the orientation of a plant or other organism in response to light". Phototropism is bending towards the light. The plants needs sunlight for its energy so it bends towards the area where light is available, in the process more branches are grown towards the available light. There could be other theories to describe why these trees bend towards the center of the road. Please share if you have a better explanation. Thanks. #Ilovenature #OriginalContentOriginalPhoto
