I know that there are people from different countries on this platform, so I wanted to introduce you all to a Serbian actress who was born on this day and her name was Milena Dravic.

Znam da na ovoj platformi ima ljudi iz raznih drzava, pa sam pozelela da vas sve upoznam sa jednom srpskom glumicom koja je bila rodjena na danasnji dan i zvala se Milena Dravic.
Milena Dravic was a Yugoslav and Serbian theater, television and film actress who played hundreds of important roles in her almost 60-year career. She was born on October 5, 1940 in Belgrade, and died on October 14, 2018 in her hometown. She was the wife of the great Serbian actor Dragan Nikolic.
She entered the world of film at the age of 18, and even before enrolling at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts, she became recognizable to audiences throughout the former Yugoslavia. She has collaborated with Serbian and Hollywood actors and producers.
She has won numerous awards during her lifetime, including "Velika Zanka", "Dobrica's Ring", "Pavle Vujisic Award", "Statuera Joakim Vujic", "Nusic Award" and many others. and has been awarded at famous festivals in Cannes and Venice.
Milena Dravic bila je jugoslavenska i srpska pozorisna, televizijska i filmska glumica koja je u skoro 60 godina dugoj karijeri ostvarila na stotine znacajnih uloga. Rodjena je 5. oktobra 1940.godine u Beogradu, a preminula 14.oktobra 2018.godine u svom rodnom gradu. Bila je supruga velikog srpskog glumca Dragana Nikolica.
U svet filma zakoracila je sa 18 godina, a i pre upisa Fakulteta dramskih umetnosti postala je prepoznatljiva publici u celoj bivsoj Jugoslaviji. Saradjivala je sa srpkim i holivudskim glumcima i producentima.
Za zivota osvojila je brojne nagrade, medju kojima su "Velika Zanka", :Dobricin prsten", "Nagrada Pavle Vujisic", "Statuera Joakim Vujic", "Nusiceva nagrada" i mnoge druge. Dobitnica je sedam Pulskih arena, tri Statuete curan, a nagradjviana je i na cuvenim festivalima u Kanu i Veneciji.
Before marrying Serbian actor Dragan Nikolic, she had two failed marriages behind her. She met Dragana Nikolica on the set of the movie "Horoscope". Soon after, love was born between the two of them. On December 30, 1971, during the filming of "How Two Fools Loved Each Other," they decided to get married. They went from filming to the Municipality, got married, and returned to work.
Pre nego sto se udala za srpskog glumca Dragana Nikolica imala je iza sebe dva propala braka. Dragana Nikolica je upoznala na snimanju filma "Horoskop". Ubrzo nakon toga rodila se ljubav izmedju njih dvoje. 30. decembra 1971.godine u toku snimanja filma "Kako su se volele dve budale" odlucili su da se vencaju. Otisli su sa snimanja u Opstinu, vencali se, i vratili na posao.
Given the great popularity they had, their marriage was a frequent topic in the domestic media, but they quickly gained the status of one of the most harmonious couples on the domestic public scene. They lived modestly and tried to preserve their privacy to the maximum
S obzirom na veliku popularnost koju su imali, njihov brak je bio cesta tema domacih medija, ali su vrlo brzo stekli status jednog od najskladnijih parova na domacoj javnoj sceni. Ziveli su skromno i trudili se da maksimalno sacuvaju svoju privatnost.
After a long and severe illness, Dragan passed away on October 11, 2016, and Milena did not follow him for a long time on October 14, 2018. Their graves are next to each other in the Alley of Merited Citizens at the New Cemetery in Belgrade.
Dragan je nakon duge i teske bolesti preminuo 11.mrta 2016.godine, a Milena ne dugo vremena za njim 14.oktobra 2018.godine. Njihovi grobovi se nalaze jedan pored drugog u Aleji zasluznih gradjana na Novom groblju u Beogradu.

Ja je zaista obozavam, ali ja je nekako ne pamtim iz partizanskih filmova, mada je u njima dosta glumila. Meni je prva asocijacija na Milenu Gordana iz filma 'Nije lako s muskarcima' i Svetlana iz serijala filmova na odredjeno vreme.
