Chester Bennington was the American musician who gained the most popularity as a vocalist for Linkin Park.

This musical legend was born on March 20, 1976, and died on July 20, 2017. As a kid, in his 11 years of life, his parents divorced and that leaves a big and deep mark. He started avoiding school and a drug-addicted job. Coincidentally, the stories from the life of his best friend Chris Cornell are largely coincidental. In one of the interviews he gave, he admitted that at the age of 7 to 13 he was sexually abused by a “friend” who was several years older than him. At the time, he was not allowed to turn to anyone for help because he was afraid of being called "Gay" or an even worse variant of not being trusted. The tense atmosphere in the house and the constant ridicule ruined his self-confidence. To deal with emotions he began to draw and write poetry.
When he was seventeen, his mother found drugs and he ran away from home. In order to pay his rent, he got a job at the fast food restaurant "Burger King".

Poceo je da izbegava skolu i posao zavistan od droge. Slucajnost je da je u velikoj meri podudaranja prica iz zivota i njegovog najboljeg prijatelja Chrisa Cornella. U jednom od intervijua koji je dao, priznao je da je u doba od 7. do 13. godine zivota bio seksualno zlostavljan od strane "prijatelja" koji je bio nekoliko godina stariji od njega. U to vreme nije smeo nikome da se obrati za pomoc posto se plasio da ga ne prozovu "Gay" ili jos gora varijanta da mu ne poveruju. Chester moved to Los Angeles and joined the Xero rock band as the group 's lead vocalist. The group was renamed Hybrid Theory, but the initial musicians had problems with the band Hybrid, accusing them of plagiarism. Then Chester came up with the idea for another name "Park Lincoln" in honor of the eponymous park in Santa Monica, but due to the fact that the corresponding domain was already occupied, the group began to be called "Linkin Park".
After multiple rejections from various studios and the emergence of a rather impressive fan base, Linkin Park musicians still failed to sign a contract. In 2000, they released their debut album, Theory hybrid. It was a huge success and received the status of a multi-platinum record, as well as the title of best debut album. After the publication of the Hybrid Theory, Linkin Park became a LEGEND.

Grupa je preimenovana u Hibrid Theori, medjutim pocetni muzicari imali su problema sa bendom Hibrid, optuzujuci ih za plagijat. Tada se Chester pojavio sa idejom za drugo ime "Park Lincoln" u cast istoimenom parku u Santa Monici,ali zbog cinjenice da je odgovarajuci domen vec bio zauzet, grupa je pocela da se zove "Linkin Park".
Posle visestrukih odbijanja iz razlicitih studija i pojavljivanja prilicno impresivne baze fanova, muzicari Linkin Parka i dalje nisu uspeli da potpisu ugovor. 2000.godine izdaju debi album hibrid Theori. Imao je ogroman uspeh i dobio status multi-platinum ploce, kao i naslov najboljeg debitnog albuma. Nakon objavljivanja Hibrid Theori Linkin Park postali su LEGENDA.
The unique style of the band, which combined rock. pop and electronic music, made Linkin Park one of the most popular miseries at the start of the new millennium, and Chester’s voice became the band’s calling card.
On July 20, 2017, it became known that Chester hanged himself on the 53rd birthday of his friend Chris, who had taken his own life a few months earlier in the same year. I found Chester at his home in Los Angeles.
