1 year and I'm still here

On the 9th of May 2021, I decided to give readcash another shot. Though it seems I was alone with no one on my side, I was determined to do it the right way this time around. So after months of waiting, I abandoned my previous account “Valour” after it got flagged as spam and decided to start afresh. It wasn’t easy starting over and it was even harder choosing a name since my usual nickname was already used by me. I wanted to add either a prefix or suffix to Valour but I know by doing that the name will lose its meaning. Why not just go for something new? I said to myself.

I choose happiness over sadness and worries. I decided to live a happy life no matter the obstacles I face and decided to choose that as my username - “Happy” but it was taken already. I can’t remember what pushed me into adding “Boy” as a suffix, but I did and ever since I’ve been an “HappyBoy”. I can’t believe it’s a year already.

I never envisioned this growth. Though I started the journey with enthusiasm and determination to make it, I was still doubting if I’ll still be around after 12 months but here I am.

Memorable moments

There are a lot of memorable moments for me. It will be hard to jot down everything but let me start with my firsts

- My first tip

This was from ate @Ruffa . I’m talking about the days when a $0.01 tip was golden and soul boosting. Imagine how I felt when I got a $0.02 tip. I was over the moon and happy that I’m finally getting the recognition I deserve or let me say seek. Every single tip by my supporters from day 1 was appreciated because it kept me going when Rusty wasn’t so friendly to me.

I got my first sponsorship from @bmjc98 . It’s a day in the record books because it coincides with Rusty's first visit, which was my 9th article. Eyb’s sponsorship came next and many more.

Oh! What a feeling it was. I was happy like I’ve won a lottery. It was nice to receive the notification and feel what others do feel. Back then, rusty tips an article back to back. In a minute, you can receive up to $3 from rusty, but the next day rusty was gone again. It kept on fluctuating until it become stable.

Other memorable events

Football leagues

Some of my best moments on this platform have to be related to football. It was the 2021 Euros. @Telesfor organized a mini-competition fr both noisecash and readcash users and @PVMihalache also organized a fantasy league. I participated in the two. The former involved downloading metamask and applying for a dummy Ethereum to bet with for each match. It was a wonderful experience. The latter was my first experience with Club1BCH. It felt good to be able to participate in a competition with the big names.

Club1BCH

It was a great day for me when I saw a post by @Eybyoung asking for an application into club1bch, I’m talking about the days when Club1BCH was tough to join. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still a pleasant community to be but back then it was a very big deal to me (and still is). I can remember reading the acceptance article and joining the TG group with a lot of big names. It was awkward at first, how do I talk to them since most are older than me?.

Imagine having ate Jane, Mj, Eyb, Caris, crackers, Tired momma, Panky, PVM, MGS and many more in a group. Here in Nigeria, to show your respect you have to repeatedly use “Sir” and “Ma’am” for older peps but to them, it wasn’t necessary, in fact, it makes them uncomfortable.

MJ made things easy for me, I’ll always run to her with questions and they all made me feel at home. I’m grateful to be part of this big family.

Marc’s visit

I’ve always seen articles tipped massively by Marc de mesel and it was my prayer to get a tip from him. Back then, I was blinded by this desire that I tried to write articles he would like though I never gave in to the urge to tag him, which was the practice back then.

However, I got a tip from him when I least expected it. It was a comment on either Pantera’s post or Crypto-max - I can’t remember whose article it was. The tip came in handy at that time.

Getting to 1BCH and more

Through the earnings from this site, I was able to get to 1BCH faster than I thought.  It was even easier getting to 2 and more with the aid of readcash.

There are more remarkable events here like meeting a girl (It’s a joke), so many that I can’t write all but one thing I can say is- I have no regrets about joining readcash.

Conclusion

It's already been a year since my journey began and it’s been a wonderful one for me. I’m grateful for the opportunities and doors this platform opened for me and hope to spend more months here. There is no way I will tell my story in future without mentioning readcash and bitcoincash. Cheers to many more wonderful moments coming…
