The Pressure for More Pay; Is that the Answer? Source https://unsplash.com/photos/WHYHfmBuCB4 In almost all the nations, there is a constant demand for increase in payment. Both in private and public companies, people are now going on strike and even walking away from their jobs because they are terribly underpaid. In Nigeria, every tertiary education graduate goes for the NYSC program which lasts for a year. Last 2 years, the alawee (allowance) was increased to 33 thousand naira which is equivalent to $66. But even now, there is still vigorous protest to increase it to $100. Is it really the protester's fault? Of course not. The persistent inflation of prices is really pushing workers to request for more pay. If that request is granted, in just a couple of years there will still be another one. What really is causing this problem? **Rising** **Prices** The main reason why workers pressure for more is the constant increase in price of good and services. Within 2020 to 2022, the United States saw its cost of living rise more than 15 percent on the average. In Nigeria, the estimate is a whooping 35 percent. Food items, non-food items, transport, health-care, clothing, insurance among others are all affected by the hike in prices. To eat nutritious 3 square meals everyday is a challenge for many. You will enter grocery stores and you will have to cut back on what you planned to buy, because the prices is different from last week's. **Rising** **taxes** Taxes are also being increased constantly. For example, in United States taxes take 40 cents out of every dollar. That is way over one-third of a person's income. This is why workers feel the need to negotiate for wage increase which will be enough to cover the rise in the cost of living for the next few years. And after those years have elapsed they will have to ask for more increases. **A** **longing** **for** **what** **others** **have** Many things are advertised every day and people are longing for them. They hear of the amount others are getting and feel they deserve more as well. If the people in power like president and senators can be earning that much with incentives, then the labour market is being cheated. **The** **action** **taken** After the cries for increase in payment are not key, the workers make the decision to go on strike. The association of universities in Nigeria has been on strike for months now. It is very common here, doctors, teachers, policemen and others alike go on strike to show their seriousness. But what it the pressure for more pay is met, who really pays for it? **Who** **pays** **for it?** Pay increases worldwide now average 12 percent every year. Who pays the increase? Whether government or private companies workers, the workers still pay for the increase in wages. Consider an example. Private university staffs believe they are underpaid and they protest for more pay. The board succumbs to their request. But then to meet it, they will have to increase the tuition fees. Hence the students fees are increased. If any of the starts has a child in the school, that means he is paying for more out of the more he received. And if he does not have a student there, the market nearby heard that the school have increased their salary. They will also increase their prices of goods. Transport can be increased, tax and many more. So who is paying for the increase in wages? The workers themselves. It's as if you are running on a treadmill, but you are not getting anywhere. This is the sad reality of the pressure for more pay. Eventually the wage earner himself pays for it in higher prices of goods and services, and more taxes. Companies and governments themselves simply charge more to pay for the increases. **The Remedy?** No doubt, the pressure for more pay causes great frustration and unhappiness. Think of the plight of people who are on low incomes and get little or no increase to combat inflation. This just shows that man's economic systems is not working for the benefit of all. What is really needed is a government that will work for the good of all alike. One that will be above selfish interests, has wisdom and power to control all economic affairs and to make necessary changes that will benefit all. No promises, we can only hope for such government.

The Amazing Animal Doctors. Humans are blessed intellectually. Especially when it comes to our health, we know just what we ought to do to hey better. And if we don't we seek the help of a certified professional. It might interest you to know that it's not just humans that are blessed with this unique ability. Animals themselves are capable of taking care of their health when they talk sick. Not only that they also engage in preventive healthcare, so that thei chances of falling sick is reduced to the bestest minimum. How do they do this? Journey along with me as we consider some examples of jungle doctors and how they go about the activity. Often times, the ways animals treat themselves prove to be more effective than the methods used by man. A man recalls the experience he had with his little white-tailed deer. One day he saw that the deer had a deep cut, most probably by a barbed wire. In a bid to help heal the wound, he cleaned and bandaged the it. But the deer apparently knows better than it's master. It removed the bandage, licked hair away from the affected area and exposed the wound to fresh air and sunlight. In an unbelievably short time, the wound was healed. Animal tongues have antiseptic dressing, hence the enzymes in their saliva act as a natural germicide. This is something the deer knows more than it's human friend. Source https://pixabay.com/photos/deer-white-deer-nature-animal-wild-6038264/ When animals are injured, they have the natural instincts tho diagnose the problem and figure out what they can do. Also, they know that different illness requires different treatment. Observe the following points. When animals are injured, they will seek a quiet place where they can get enough rest. If they have fever, they go to a place with sufficient air, shade and water. Any animal that has rheumatism will stay under the sun, this way the sunlight will dry the heat and relieve it's pain. Orangutans are usually affected with gumboil. When this happens, they know what they should do for a quick recovery. They will apply moist clay to the outer part of the affected areas, fill their mouth with clay as well and sun themselves. In no time the affected tooth will soften and remove on it's own. When a Buffalo has scabs, which causes hair loss, it rolls in the mud for several days. It is also picky about the type it food it eats. It won't stop this treatment until it is completely healed. **How about Preventive medicine?** Animals practice preventive medical healthcare as well. One way they do this is by bathing regularly. They know that good personal hygiene helps in preventing a lot of illnesses. Some furry animals do not get enough vitamin D in their diet and can be affected with rickets. So they occasionally lick their furs, because the action of sun on their furs produces vitamin D. Hence by licking themselves they take in a healthy dose of the vitamin. When black bears come out of hibernation, they know that they are prone to illness because being out of condition for some time. To prevent falling sick, they eat berries and source for certain flower bulbs which help get them back into condition. Source https://pixabay.com/photos/black-bear-animal-black-canim-lake-50293/ We often underestimate the intelligence of animals especially when it comes to healthcare. They really take good care of themselves, and humans need to observe them carefully and learn from them. If they can place so much value on good health, then we certainly need to do more. We thank the doctors we have learnt fron today, Dr Deer, Dr Orangutan, Dr Buffalo and others. Indeed, the wild is full of certified doctors, that humans are jealous. ©️ Kennysplash

You can Eat More for Less Source https://pixabay.com/photos/market-market-stall-seller-food-1154999/ With the way prices of goods are rising you just don't know what to feed on anymore. This is even a greater source of concern if you have a family, you want to feed on nutritious meals...but where is the means? Last week I went to the market to restock my raw food and provisions, but what I met made me open my mouth wide in shock as I sauntered around the market. When I got home, I kept wondering whether I lost money. There was no way I spent all that money on these little items. But it is what it was it is. Sometimes you just can't help but wonder, what will we eat? An amount that could purchase 2 pack if a product 15 months ago can only purchase 1 now. The prices of food has risen terribly over the last half decade. In fact, it is hard to purchase foods now and stay within budget. It keeps getting harder to make ends meet, hence it is also hard to eat nutritious and satisfactory meals. Sometimes we just have to find out where and what you cut down without endangering our health. Well, does this mean all hope is lost? Not at all, you can still eat well for less. Take note of the following points. Make a meal budget Take note of what is really necessary Shop with skill Practice subsistent farming Avoid wastage Make good use of leftovers **Make a meal budget** Whether you live alone or you have a family, make out proper plans on how much you will spend on food each month. This will keep you on your toes, make you get the best possible and still be within budget. But don't overdo it, make sure the funds is enough to get you the necessary nutrients you need. **2 . Take note of what is really necessary** Ice cream and Pizza are delicious and everyone's wish. But when you are on a budget know how to say no. The price of those can actually give you normal meal for days. So get the basic meals that contains all the nutrients you need, namely protein, carbohydrates, vitamin and minerals. Junks generally are not pocket friendly, stay away from them. **3 . Shop with skill** When I was younger, I do go to the market with my mum. Her ability to bargain renders me speechless. If a vendor says a yam is $2, Iya Ibeji will buy 4 for $3.5. Sometimes I just pity the vendors after my mum had slashed the price mercilessly. But now I understand her, the market people hike the price however they like. They can never sell what does not bring them profit. So learn how to purchase effectively, don't buy a foodstuff of $5 for $8. Build your shopping skills. Please this applies to open place markets and is location-specific, don't do this in fixed price markets. **4 . Practice subsistent farming** If you have vacant piece of land in your environment, make use of it to plant daily needs like vegetables, spices and the likes. You can also rear chickens or goat. If you do that it will reduce what you'll need to get from the market. You should check out you time and schedule though, ensure you will have enough time to care for whatever you plant or rear. **5 . Avoid wastage** Only prepare what you can eat, especially if you are the type that don't eat the same food twice in a day. Even if you have all the money in the world, foods are not meant to be wasted. But there are times when there are leftovers, what should you do then? **6 . Make good use of leftovers** On the off chance that there are remains, find wats to make judicious use of them. What can you convert it to and still make a sumptuous meal? Like I said earlier, refrain from throwing away foods. There is no dignity in it. Even with the little you have you can enjoy good and nutrition packed meals. Keep the above points in mind and make use of them appropriately. You can definitely eat more for less. ©️ Kennysplash

Will Today be a Good Day? Image https://unsplash.com/photos/r2nJPbEYuSQ No doubt, "Good Day" is among the most popular forms of greeting. When we say it to others we wish they have had or will have a good day. But have you given much thought to what is behind that greeting? Besides, what is one day compared to a life time that it should be given much importance? The average life expectancy is 70 years which is equivalent to 25, 567 days. Don't be amazed by that number, because it surprisingly flies by like an airplane. Ask a man who is 50 years old and he will tell you that the 18, 262 days he has spent have all gone by swiftly, and the remaining days look so few. But what really matters? Is it the number of days or how judiciously the days are spent? We don't know what our life will be tomorrow, for we all are like a mist that appears for a short while and then disappears. Hence, we need to recognize and understand the uncertainty of human life. How much does a day mean to you personally? Do you spend your days as if you had a guaranteed unlimited supply of them? Do you really realize the true value and preciousness of each day? **What a day can mean** Let us take a moment and ponder over what a day can bring. How daily happenings can bring about wonderful and life-shaping moments, and otherwise. There are times when we can relate to the greeting, 'good day'. Indeed, we have had or are having such a good day that we will beam at the greeting and reply so positively. However, if we are having a not so good day, we can scoff at that greeting. You wonder, 'what is good about the day?' **Will this be a good day for you?** It is to be expected, each day has its responsibilities, it's opportunities and it's work. All days bring certain issues and decisions we have to face. Some days are so crucial, so important that our lives may even hand in the balance. Despite all these, be certain of one thing- the happenings of each day mold and shape our lives. So what have you done with this day so far? Today might still be an early day for you, for others it can be far spent depending on where you are reading from. Regardless, you can ask yourself these questions. Have I enjoyed good relationship with others today? Did I help someone? Did you overcome an obstacle or solve any problem? Have I accomplished anything worthwhile? If your answer to any of these questions is no, well the day is not lost. You can still make some changes that will eventually make your day worthwhile. No doubt, daily accomplishments can make your day a fulfilling one. And I am not talking about you inventing a scientific object or saving the world. Small things that might seem unimportant to you can actually make your day worthwhile. Have you published an article today and made interactions on read.cash, or do you plan to? Surely, many people will agree with me that there is a kind of pleasant feeling you get at the end of the day just knowing the fact that you have done well on the platform. You can render assistance to others in any form, make certain decisions and changes and maintain a positive outlook throughout the day. It's true that some days can be more pleasant than others, it is possible for every day to be good. How? Be contented and grateful Maintain a positive attitude, even when things are not going smoothly Keep others in mind. Find ways you can light up people's day. Always find lessons and experiences you can learn in each day. Do not be anxious. Anxiety is a thief of happiness. Each day will sort itself out, trust me. Good moments make good days, good days make good months, weeks, years and a lifetime. Therefore, with every good intentions meant, I do wish you a GOOD DAY!

If Agama Lizards could Talk. Image https://pixabay.com/photos/agama-lizard-animal-reptile-5951333/ It's been 2 hours I've used to deliberate whether I should make the jump or not. Yes it's going to be a challenging one, the rocks are so far apart. but I have no choice. I have to make the jump, because the grasshoppers on the other side are greener. 😎 How did I get here? Let me tell you about myself first. I am a well known genus of the lizard family, the Agama Lizard. In fact I am the most popular, especially in Africa. I am male, so I'm red-headed. The females are quite different, they take on other head colors like brown, grey among others. Our average lifespan is 25 to 30 years. Well don't be surprised, we do a lot of exercises so we are fit and healthy. As you well know, Agamas are popular for one thing: nodding their heads. We know that we have cast in the human world, because our behavior can be used to mock people. "See how you nod your head like Agama lizard". Guilty right?Yeah I caught you. But did you know that there is a story behind this unique trait of ours? Would you like to find out? Read on! Now back to the opening scenario. Like is said, the grasshoppers are greener on the other side of the rock. If I want to have a nutritious breakfast, I have to push myself to make a kind of jump I have never made before. It is a Herculean task, but the results will definitely be worth it. I could picture myself savoring the tantalizing meal of a meaty grasshopper. Good heavens! However things can go wrong as well. I could miss the jump and cause myself a lot of physical damage. I could break a leg or snap my tail. You humans always say that you never know what you are capable of until you try. I need to take the risk, whatever happens will teach me a lesson regardless. 'On a count of 3 I'll jump', I said to myself. 1, 2, 3... wheeze. Phew! I made it! I look to the left and to the right. There is no one appreciating me, no one is telling me well done for that amazing jump. So I nod my head 3 times saying to myself "I tried na, I kuku try". Whenever you see us nodding our heads, just know that we are appreciating ourselves for a job well done. We don't wait for someone else to do that. It's one behavior about us that is worthy of imitation. It's sad when we observe humans and see how much importance they place on gratitude and validation from others. Hence when none is forthcoming they feel down, even after achieving a great feat. Don't wait for acknowledgement from others when you can give it to yourself. The world is becoming a fierce competition every passing day, no one seems to have time for anyone anymore. So if you always depend on others before you can feel good about yourself, you are putting your whole life in the hands of others. And that, I'm sorry to say, is pathetic. Did you just ace an exam? Pat yourself on the back. Did you just secure a good job? Appreciate yourself. Have you done anything spectacular, which yourself and others doubted you couldn't? Or like me, have you gotten yourself to a place where the grass is greener? Give yourself a nice treat for that. Don't wait on anyone before you express gratitude to yourself for a job well done. Flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, an Agama did. I hope you can hold on this lesson and always give yourself the gratitude you deserve. Hey look! Two grasshoppers are smooching. Awwwn! Don't worry guys, I gat you. I don't want to stand in the way of love, you both can continue the romance in my stomach. ©️ Kennysplash

Simple Ways You Can Introduce BCH to Family and Friends We are no longer in the trenches when it comes to the prospects of BCH in the near future. All of us here are aware of the kind of surprised we are in for in due time. But how do we make others see this as well? Easy, we just have to tell them about the prospects of BCH and the benefits they stand to gain if they make judicious use of it. But it's not that easy, did I hear you say? Of course, let's admit it it's never easy recommending BCH to others and going into explanation of what they stand to gain. Many don't even know anything about cryptocurrency in general. Where do you start from? The thing is, there actually are simple and easy ways to make recommendations to others and make them see what they have been missing and will miss soon. You might soon realize that it's not as hard as you think. Take a look at the following ways you can do this. 1. **Set the right example** One time I was having a voice call about how the BCH I swapped on remitano is yet to be executed. Once I'm done a neighbor asked me playfully; "boss show me the way now, me sef one dey swap coins o". Let them see it in what you do without you even telling them yet. Speak of it around them often, open your, your readcash or noisecash in their presence. Post of it on your WhatsApp and Facebook statuses. The interested one will be the one to ask you themselves. 2. **Make it casual**. Don't grab their hands and tell them you have something very to say. Of course it's important, but don't make it strictly business like that. You can be having fun and then you just chip it in. Tell them there is a particular currency you have been earning online which has a great potential in the nearest future. Let your approach be different from the widely used ponzi scheme approach. 3. **Don't force it, it's not a do or die thing**. There was a time I made a coursemate bring out his phone and install Bitcoin.com wallet. Then I told him we will continue from there later. Guess what? I didn't see him again after that. He started avoiding me, whenever I'm coming by one side he will cross over to the other. It was then I realized I made a mistake. You should just make them see the prospects, what they stand to gain and achieve, don't force anyone. It's for them, not that you are doing it for any reward. 4. **Introduce them to ways they can earn BCH online.** No doubt, whenever people hear that they can make money online their attention are usually caught. They want to know how. This is where read.cash comes in. Explain to them that they can make good income by writing online. That fact can prompt them to take action. It can be any other site, as long as they can accumulate BCH on it. 5. **Put them through**. Some are complete newbies. Don't just talk and then leave them stranded. Put them through all they need to know and the processes involved. It's one thing to get them to download wallets, it's another for them to make use of them. Once you find interested once, take the time to explain all that they need to know 6. **Be patient, but consistent**. Some of us needed a little bit more convincing from others before we started blogging and making use of BCH. That is what people need too, don't give up on them. Just give them some more time. But continue to remind them whenever you get the opportunity. The fact that you received a cold today does not mean tomorrow can be positive. Note: Know when you should not waste your time. There are those particular people that never seem to be interested and have no positive thing to say, take a rest from them. How happy we are when we see people we invite doing well, even more than us. Let us make use of every opportunity and try our best to onboard others into the promising cryptocurrency... BCH.

The Comfort Zone; Get Out of the Trap! Image source https://www.shutterstock.com/image-photo/businessman-worker-jumping-comfort-zone-be-551906173 "I am enjoying my life, I don't have to do much. Everything I need is at my beck and call. I pray it continues this way". Hello friend, if it continues like that then you are not really living. You have not grown to understand the real meaning of life. Life is not a bed of roses, and it's not meant to be. In order to be successful and achieve your full potential, you have to push yourself and get out of that trap called the Comfort Zone. A comfort zone is defined as a psychological state in which everything feels familiar to a person and they are at ease and in control of their environment. They experience low levels of anxiety and stress, life is really good and fair to them. Or so they thought. In this zone, there is always a steady level of performance. To improve this performance is almost impossible, because they are contented with the outcome. Out of the comfort zone, we have the growth zone. This is where you improve in your abilities and capabilities. It is the exact opposite of the comfort zone. While the comfort zone makes it hard for people to discover themselves and reach greater heights, the growth zone highlights your strengths and grooms you to become a better version of yourself. **Get away from the trap** The comfort zone makes you feel safe, gives you a feeling of sufficiency and smooth life. But as the saying goes, smooth waters does not make a skilled sailor. The following are tips that will help you get out of the comfort zone. Start doing things differently Try to change how you do certain and simple things. For example, don't use your phone while eating or wake up earlier. These simple changes will start to configure your mind and thinking, thereby breaking you away from comfortable habits and setting you in the path to leaving behind the comfort zone. Make plans and be realistic. Because you are admonished to leave the comfort zone does not mean you should pack your bags one day and leave where you are with no destination in mind and nothing planned. No. If you want to change environment make plans ahead on how to survive at least. Don't strand yourself when it could be avoided. It's okay to take small steps It's actually okay to start small, as long as you are not stagnant. Like I mentioned earlier, make simple decisions that will set you on the path. Eat healthy, sleep early, work on some toxic traits you have. These changes will have a huge effect later on. Learn new skills and be creative Expand your professional skillset and improve them. Then you can make use of these skills creatively. For example build a business, write stories or poems, just anything creative. Gradually you will be conditioned to leave that comfort zone. Challenge yourself and your beliefs Challenge yourself to try new things, things that seems hard to you. Take on more responsibilities. Also ask yourself; Why do I stick to my beliefs? Is there a logical explanation? Is it the right thing? When you challenge your beliefs you find out why you have them, and also do away with the ones that you deem not logical. I want to emphasize that consistency is the key. While practicing out these steps you might notice that you are falling back to the comfort zone every now and then. Don't worry, it is not abnormal. As long as you don't give up you will eventually beat the comfort zone. If you realize within you that you are in the comfort zone, put into practice the steps listed out here. Do more research too. You have a lot of potentials in you, go out there and realize them. All growth starts at the end of your comfort zone._ Tony Robbins

6 ways to achieve your goals in 2022 We are already in the third day of 2022. Certainly many of us have listed some goals that we hope to achieve before the end of the year. They may be leftover goals of 2021 or perhaps they are new goals as well. No matter how small goals missing it is never easy achieving them, that is why if you have set out definite bows for yourself before and you are able to achieve them then you should Pat yourself at the back for a job well done. A goal refers to a positive result that we are attempting to achieve. It can span through a short time or for a longer period of time. And when we achieve these goals, we feel a sense of accomplishment, we feel confident and excited to take on a new goal. However, research says that 70 percent of goals set out by humans have failed. What could be the problem? What are we doing wrong? I have put together some steps that will help us all achieve our goals this new year. This is like a guideline, please pick out the salient points that you feel can work for you. So let's kick it off. **Be realistic with your goals**. Make sure your goals are achievable and don't just set them for the fun. We all know our limits and abilities. Although it's good to push ourselves sometimes, but still not beyond our capabilities. If Entrepreneurship is your strong forte, then set your goals in that line. Leverage on what you can do well and set your goals in line with them. **Give** **yourself** **the** **time** **you** **need** Goals and achievements cannot be rushed. To achieve the best results, you have to give yourself reasonable time. Don't just say that in a month time you want to have 6 figures in your savings account while your current monthly income does not suggest that. Great achievements take time, never forget that. **Take** **one** **step** **at** **a** **time** Your goals should not be cluttered. That is, they should not be too much for you to handle. Rather than setting out 6 goals for yourself and eventually achieving 2, it is better to set 3. You know what they say; a Jack of all trades is a master of none. By focusing on less, you get more done. So don't have a long list, once you have achieved one you can take on another. Take one step at a time. **Look for Mentorships** You have chosen your field, what you hope to achieve and the time duration. You can as well find someone, whether online or offline that have achieved that type of goal and learn from them. There are many people that have done great things, take a look at their life stories. Observe them carefully and learn from their mistakes. If you can get these physically then consider yourself lucky. If not you can also go online and follow people that can give you the knowledge you seek. It's not necessary you reach out to them, just observe them and learn from their story. **Visualize the outcome** See yourself in the nearest future having achieved your goal. How do you feel? What benefits are you enjoying? Thinking about these things will act as a propellant to your goals. So while setting your goals, always picture how it will look like when you have achieved that goal. It will make you buckle up, since you love the outcome you are foreseeing. **Have fun** Another of Jack's saying says that all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. Have fun along the way, don't be too focused on your goals that you forget to laugh and treat yourself to some excitements once in a while. Go out with families and friends. Have enough sleep too, this will keep you refreshed and energetic. And this will play an important part in the achievement of your goals. So in summary: Be realistic with your goals. Give yourself the time you need Take one step at a time Look for Mentorships Visualize the outcome Have fun The year is very young, don't let it pass away without making the best use of it. Go after that dream, you are worthy of it! 03/01/2022

When Giving, Keep your Camera at Home To show generosity towards others is a noble quality in humans. It's a festive season, where many give out and receive presents. But then, even before this period this has been happening since time immemorial. There are many posts and videos online of people giving to the less privileged ones and who saw it fit to take evidence of their actions (for reasons I can't exactly figure out). According to my own knowledge of Giving, you want to help others willingly. You do this without expecting absolutely anything in return. However, the sole purpose of your generosity is ruined the moment you take pictures of yourself and those you are helping and start posting it online for people to see. True generosity involves doing something nice for someone who will never find out or who has no way of repaying you. It's an offering given freely, with no strings attached and no expectations. But some vehemently argue this. They believe showing and telling the world when you help others will make everyone take up the spirit of giving. It will move others to emulate them and give, thereby making the world 'a better place'. Or so they think. This logic is flawed. Emulation is not in the proof, it's in the deed itself. The fact that you told me of how you helped someone does not mean I will follow suit. In fact, because you are telling me I will consider you an attention seeker. You are not really generous, you don't have the spirit of giving. You are just doing it for the publicity, the gains you look forward to. Don't get me wrong though. I don't mean taking pictures and telling others of your deeds is always wrong. There are charity organizations that show the world what they do, and theirs is understandable. They are working towards a cause and might as well get more sponsors. But them why would you film or take pictures of the middle-aged woman thanking you profusely for what you've done and then publicize it? For what purpose exactly? The oldest wisdom filled book ever written says regarding giving to others; "don't let your right hand know what your left hand is doing." This simply means not bringing unnecessary attention to yourself. Come to think of it; a man helped you and you started hearing of it everywhere you go, all the details. Nothing was left out, how would you feel? Now compare it to when you received help from someone whom you did not even know. It's just between you and the anonymous giver, when you eventually learned who he is how would you feel towards him? Surely the 2 scenarios will bring about different feelings of respect and appreciation. To explain it better, let us use read.cash as an example. Someone tipped your article, you appreciate the person. Only for you to start seeing the screenshots everywhere you go; noise.cash, Facebook, Twitter etc posted by your tipper. He added the tag "feeling generous today! Congrats to the receiver." How would you feel? (This didn't happen, I just used it as an example). Let us all curb the acts of giving and taking proofs. The world needs more givers obviously, but also less announcers. When you give with the aim of publicity or getting something back in return, then that will be your reward. Give without expecting, you will get a far greater reward, even a thousand fold. Don't lose that reward unnecessarily. `The most truly generous persons are those who give silently without hope of praise or reward." - Carol Ryrie Brink.` All images from unsplash.com

Online Dating; The risks are more than you think. The internet seems to have a solution to every problems faced by all these days. One of them is the advent of online dating platforms designed with the aim of connecting those interested in romantic relationships together globally. A good number of us really want to get to know members of the opposite sex and maybe spark a bud of romance. However, no matter how much we try we could not do this physically with our immediate environment. This can be due to shyness or a lack of potential dates. Hence, we resort to the internet for a way out. There are hundreds of dating sites and apps, but are they really fulfilling their purpose? A survey carried out in America reveals that 3 out of 10 youths and adults have signed up on various dating sites. A particular site has 11 million paid subscribers, but out of them only 1,450 people actually got married. Out of those that got married, 40 percent (600 got divorced 3 years later). https://www.pewresearch.org/internet/2016/02/11/15-percent-of-american-adults-have-used-online-dating-sites-or-mobile-dating-apps/ Based on these statistics, can we say dating platforms are truly achieving their purpose? You answer that. 'But there are people that found true ams lasting love online', you might reason. Definitely, no one is disputing that, but what is the ratio compared to those that didn't? Disappointments have been duly dished out to all and sundry. Actually, if you are just 'Disappointed', consider yourself very lucky. **The Vices** Since the emergence of internet dating, there have been cases of abduction, pedophilic acts, creepy stalking, rape, infliction of serious injuries, fraud and even death. This is due to the fact that no one **really** knows who is on the other end. Anyone can be what they want to be online. His picture, how sure are you it's his own? Her location, how can you verify that? He is claiming single, how can you confirm it? She claims she is a successful business woman, how do you figure that out? In 2012, a woman in Britain developed a romantic attraction with a man she met on a site. The man told her he is an engineer in London, well, she liked what she heard and saw. She was eventually scammed of $45,000 (what led to that was not disclosed. ) She later learnt that her beloved London engineer was actually from Africa. So the man created a fake personality to defraud the unsuspecting woman. **Fraud.** In Scotland, a woman reported to the police that a strange man was always following her. The man was apprehended and he turned out to be a her online lover. Since she told him all about her and where she lived, it was easy for him to locate her and stalk her. If course he had a cruel intention, thank God he was discovered early. **Stalking.** In Nigeria (one I personally witnessed), a young lady in her early 20s was murdered by her boyfriend the first time she visited him. It turned out the man was a psycho. When asked why he killed her, he said he just 'felt' like. **Murder.** I'm not having fun listing these horrible events out, but it is what is really happening. So as not to be a victim of these circumstances, we have to be very careful if we are the cyber-romance type. Like I mentioned earlier, there is also Disappointment. Some of us have experienced times when we meet someone we have known online physically and they are so different. I'm not just talking about physical appearance- though it's part of it, but also other personalities. You discover that they are not as intelligent as you thought, not calm, talk too much and many others. How would you feel when the beautiful young lady you thought you have a thing with turns out to be a middle-aged man. How would you feel when you discover that dude is married? These disappointments abound and can come in many ways. Image source http://bcnrm.blogspot.com/2013/02/online-dating-picture.html?m=1 Therefore, 70 percent of online relationships end the day they meet physically. We know what we want, but when online our mind plays a trick on us. Just a description of others is enough to spark an attraction within us. So we have a mental image of what to expect which is high, but we are often disappointed. **The Old-fashioned way** Image source https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.independent.co.uk/life-style/10-ways-to-avoid-falling-victim-to-online-dating-predators-dangers-safety-a6915301.html%3famp There is someone for everyone. Go out more, interact with people, attend events. But don't be desperate, these things happen at their own right time. Well, we can't exactly say that everyone we meet online is dangerous. We have to admit that, although the number is small, some people have found true and lasting love online. Besides, as young adults, we can discover these vices and their perpetrators early and eliminate them; provided we are armed with the right knowledge. So you have met someone online (or in case you do). How can you handle it safely with your emotional and physical health in view? We will consider that in the next article. Subscribe so as not to miss it. "**Anyone you meet online is a stranger, never forget that".**

Don't Quit your Job! "No one makes history by working for others". "Show me an employee among the top 10 richest people in the world". "You can't achieve your potential working a 9 to 5 job". Bla bla bla. We have heard these and more from different motivational speakers. According to them, working as an employee limits your potentials and will bring you a fixed and relatively low income compared to running your own business. Well, first and foremost, **don't quit your job.** Or if you must, at least not until you get a few things right. The truth is, not everyone can be a successful business owner. As we have people that are very good in business, so also we have people that are very good at working for others and also help their organizations reach their potential. If a survey is carried out, about 70 percent of the world's population will say they want to have their one business and be their own boss, but in reality that is not the case. For one reason or another, many people have to settle as an employee and this does not mean they are not doing well (financially). And let us be realistic, going by that logic if almost everyone wants to have their own business entity then who will work for who? 🤷 We also have the ones that took the leap, so to speak by quitting their work to become self-employed. Well it worked out for some, for reasons we will eventually discuss; others failed miserably. This article is not to discourage anyone from starting their own business. But to emphasize that you being an employee does not mean a lesser potential, impact and accomplishment. Discover yourself and know what you can excel in. Don't force what you are not, and don't be easily influenced by the media and the society. As we have many business tycoons doing better than employees, so also we have employees doing better than business owners. Now, you have made the decision. You really want to quit your job and start your dream business. There are some questions you have to answer first before making the big jump. Do you have the business all planned out? Do you have enough capital to start the business? Do you have your target audience ready and a means of creating enough awareness for your business? Do you have money saved that can sustain you till the business starts making good profits? If you can answer yes to these questions, then you are good to go. Besides, instead of quitting, why not do both? It is referred to as **Hybrid Entrepreneurship.** Hybrid Entrepreneurship simply means starting a business while retaining your job. Research has shown that starting a side business while still having your full time job is the best path to success in the long run. It is said the the average millionaire has 5 sources of income. Don't focus on one, diversify your sources of income. But if you are not the business type, fine. The purpose of this article is to assure you that you are doing well in your job, don't let anyone intimidate you. As long as your income is above your expenses and you have good money management, then you are doing great. Don't quit your job in **search** of greener pastures. The grass is greener on the other side because someone is taking care of it. Pay attention to your own side too. Put in your very best in what you do, strive for excellence and see the amazing results. Check out my new sponsor's humorous article @ErdoV on how to land the right position in a job interview. But please don't throw the chairs and tables out of the windows 😀. https://read.cash/@ErdoV/listen-boss-771f62ac 20/12/21.

Teach them how to Fish. No doubt, most of us have siblings and close friends in which we help out every now and then. We do this with the money we make from readcash and/or noisecash. We also know many that their lives are not really going the way they planned, hence they are struggling financially. We feel for them, and want to help them. However instead of just giving them cash, why not teach them how to make the money themselves? Yes you must have gotten the point I'm driving at. Ask yourself: "How many if my siblings, family members and friends have I invited to join the blogging community?" Some of us have done justice to that, while it seems to always escape the minds of others. Admittedly, I am also guilty of the later. I have a junior sister in the university, and sometimes I send her tokens to take care of herself. But then it occurred to me, instead of giving her fish, what if I teach her how to fish so that she can fend for herself? I called her last week and told her how she can be making side income by writing articles. I explained to her that there is a high chance for her to earn enough and she would not need to depend on anyone for anything. It was not as easy as I thought though. She gave the common complain that she is not really good at writing. Of course, no one is good at writing at first. It's a skill we all learn as we try. If she is willing learn and get started, then she will get enough tutorials that will help her along the way. However, it seems she was used to receiving 'fish' as it were. I told her to try before giving up, it's what I'm doing and I enjoy it. If she does not, then she can quit and find something else. She created an account yesterday and is working through her first article. Charity, they say begins at home. If you know you are getting value out of any platform you should invite them to join. Whether they depend on you sometimes or not, you should give them the opportunity to benefit. However, readcash is different from just any earning platform. Therefore you have to take your time to explain to them all there is to know. They should not start with the intention of making money, as that will backfire. They have to display what they can offer to the community, how others can benefit from their articles. If they are doing it the right way, they will certainly see positive results. Please don't force anyone, they should make decision themselves. And while some have started and are at it already, they may realize that it's not for them and they are not enjoying their time here. It's okay for them to find their passion elsewhere. But the point is, extend them the opportunity to become members here. Whether they grab the invitation and make the best use of it is out of your control. But do your own part nonetheless. I believe many people have done Thier best in this regard. I know some members that are couples here, I know some that have their siblings here and I know one parent with his matured son on the platform. You are all doing well. For those that need to put in a little more work, please do. This will benefit you in the following ways: You help them develop their writing skills. You will be relieved financially. You will experience the thrill and joy of relating with each other outside the physical family circle. You will be proud and happy seeing them improving in their contents and earnings....and many more. Let us all try our best in creating awareness about readcash and noisecash. In this way we are also creating more awareness about Bitcoin cash and improving it's adoption.

The Good you do... An engineer named Ben works for a wealthy contactor. He supervises and oversees all of the man's projects, which he always puts in a lot of work. This makes his projects always stand out and spectacular. Ben is yet to have a house of his own though, despite having built countless houses. This is because of the expenses he has to bear in his family; taking care of sick family members, funding education, feeding and many more. So this makes it hard for him to settle down and get on with his life. Whenever Ben completes any building the contractor will tell him that all his hard work is appreciated, and that one day his diligent efforts will be repaid. He believes his boss and continues to put in his very best in what he does. All was going well, until he developed an unhealthy association. Ben made friends with two men within his age range and they started influencing his way of thinking and his resolve. "Your boss does not appreciate your work!" They often tell him. But he will shut them up, telling him that he is not owed any money by his boss, so what are they talking about? They persist saying he should earn more for the work he does. Everyone always admires his buildings, but the contractor gets all the credits. They believe it's not fair for him. Then one told him to reduce the cost of construction and keep the change for himself. Sadly, these talks begin to have a negative effect on his thinking. He started seeing the truth in what they say, or so he thought. Then he made up his mind that the next project, he is going to make sure he makes a lot of side money by cutting the construction cost. Few days later to his delight, the contractor called and informed him of a grand project he is to do. Grand project huh? Perfect! He started thinking of how to make huge illegal profits from this grand project. Work starts and he implements his plan. Where he was supposed to spend $10k he spent $6k. He did that throughout till the project was completed. The contractor came to inspect and asked him if he did a good job. He replied yes. Then came the shock of his life... The contractor handed the keys and papers of the house to Ben and told him: " I always promised that I will repay you for your good works. Today is the day. You have reaped the good deeds you sowed. " Ben could not believe what was happening. The contractor built a magnificent house for Ben with his own money. But Ben cancelled out the magnificent and replaced it with wack. Yes, the building could only survive 5 years at most. It was indeed a horrible decision from Ben. The illegal gain he made cannot build a new house if this one fails. So yes, he caused his own problems. Because of short term and immediate gains, Ben spoiled a long term gift and benefit. If only he didn't listen to those friends. If only he got rid of them before they could influence him. If only... Well, it is always too late for "if onlys". Many of us have been doing great works all along, but at times we feel we deserve more than we get. Hence, like Ben we are tempted to misbehave. Please think it through, you never know how you might be blocking a big surprise waiting ahead for you. Continue what you are doing and do it wholeheartedly. Certainly, one day you will get your reward. This piece was written as a lesson for everyone, **don't be like ben.** *The good you do remains with you, the evil you do comes back to you.* Would you like to join contests and stand a chance to win One Bitcoin cash and above? Check out my sponsor's articles and see how you can join. You can also read their articles and use it as a guide in writing yours, believe me they are amazing writers.

Moments I can never forget. After reading @VictorBCH recent article, I thought I should write mine too. No doubt, we all have some memories and experiences as we grow up that we can never forget. Some are mischievous, some are acts of bravery, some are just hilarious. Permit me to share with you some memories that have stuck with me and will continue to. **The Small Stew** I don't really remember this, but my mum told me we were just 4 years old then. ( I have a twin brother, hence the term "we"). After preparing rice in the kitchen, mum put the soup on the stove. We sauntered there and grumbled. Is this the stew we will eat? It certainly won't be sufficient for us all! Geniuses that we are, we came up with the idea to add water to the stew to make it 'plenty'. We added the water to the brim. The kind of beating we both got that day, according to mum she later pitied us for the punishment. She eventually had to use the watery stew for spaghetti and kept the rice for night. Whenever I think about it I just smile, it's definitely something we could do. **The football game** One evening, a legend (me) was sent to grind beans which we will use to make beancake. On my way back from grinding I saw some boys playing football and I joined. I thought I would play for just a few minutes. But there were no materials for goal post, we were able to gather 3 broken blocks which means we need one more to make a goal post for the two teams. After a futile effort in finding something to use, I volunteered to use the small paint rubber with the grinded beans. It was the same height with the three blocks, so perfect. Barely one minute into the game, a powerful shot was released on my rubber of beans and everything was scattered on the sand. I went back home with empty rubber and.... 😰 let me stop here. You can't imagine what happened. **The Mischievous Twin** We were very identical twins, only a few friends can tell us apart. In our early secondary school days, my brother wrote a love letter to a girl in class. Well she reported to the head teacher and he bounced into the class. Because we sit together, the head teacher faced me and said "so you have the guts to write love letter at your age?" Before I could say anything, a hot slap already landed on my cheek. Then I was given punishment throughout the week. Well, I had to endure it, because rattling on my brother would mean another punishment for him. So that slap will now be in vain? Nah. I showed him pepper Sha, I took my revenge a 100 times over. 😊. **The Twin Switch** We had our tertiary education in different states, one day we decided to have fun. Each will pretend to be the other, so I went to his school and he to mine. We gave each other some lectures about our friends, hostel mates and classes beforehand. Trust me, it was nothing like the movies, we both got caught eventually. But it was indeed a lot of fun. Like I told you earlier, (* in whispers...twinnie likes girls). One time I passed a girl while going for a class I knew nothing about. She tapped me and said she never knew I was so proud. How could I pass her as if I didn't see her like that? It turned out she used to be a thing with my brother. He won't stop getting me in trouble with girls, will he? 🤦. Anyway, he had to give a presentation in class too. Although he did well, but I couldn't imagine the kind of efforts he exerted. Anyways, it was a time we both would never forget. So ends some of my unforgettable moments, I hope you enjoyed it. Thanks for reading.

Myth Buster: Cryptocurrency is Used for Illegal Activities *"*`Virtual currency-related business activities are illegal financial activities, it seriously endangers the safety of people's assets". Says the People's Bank of China` `"Cryptocurrency transactions are devoid of proper regulation. They are not issued by entities that are neither neither licensed now legal. It's anonymity makes it prone to financial crimes, hence the ban." Says the Nigerian government.` `"Cryptocurrency have been used to launder profits of online drug traffickers and a tool to finance terrorism." - Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen.` Similar statements have been made by countries like Canada, Egypt, Taiwan, Indonesia and many financial institutions. According to them, the advent of Cryptocurrency has brought about an increase in financial crimes. The first crypto currency, Bitcoin was created in 2009 to serve as an alternative to Fiat money. It was intended to provide an alternative payment system, one that would be free of central control and still be used just like traditional currencies. As the years go by people saw the need to embrace this digital currency, hence it's growth and the emergence of Altcoins. If we are to conduct a poll, definitely a great percentage of the world's population will agree that cryptocurrency has indeed brought about a positive change in the economy, both personally and worldwide. But why do some think it has brought about negative impacts, such as fraud and illegal activities? For one thing, it should not be expected that any means of exchange will be free of illegal activities. Whether is it Fiat, Trade by Barter, or digital currency there is always the possibility of illegal activities. To expect that not to happen is to be waiting on pigs to fly. However, it becomes a source of concern if the activities are becoming rampant and getting out of control. As it stands, the percentage of illegal activities conducted with cryptocurrency is far lesser and insignificant to that of Fiat currency. How do I mean? According to a 2021 report from Chainanalysis, in 2019 criminal activity represented 2.1% of all cryptocurrency transactions. In 2020 however, the value dropped to just 0.34%. This means that criminal activity with cryptocurrency transactions is so much insignificant when compared to Fiat, and it's use is going down every year. https://blog.chainalysis.com/reports/2021-crypto-crime-report-intro-ransomware-scams-darknet-markets **The Real problem** Obviously, if we want to focus on where the money laundering is we need to look at the government-backed physical and traditional currency; Fiat. If cryptocurrency accounts for less than 1 percent of illegal activities, then over 99% belongs to cash. A 2020 report by SWIFT (Society for Worlds Interbank Financial Telecommunication) concludes that cases of cases of money laundering through cryptocurrency remains relatively small compared to volumes of cash laundered via traditional methods. https://www.swift.com/sites/default/files/files/swift_bae_report_Follow-The%20Money.pdf Hence the traditional currency is still the most preferred for illicit activities by the perpetrators. This is majorly due to the fact that crypto is easy to track because blockchains already exist for the majority of transactions. There the date, time, amount, type of currency, sender and receiver address are stored and can not be altered. This makes it easier to track down many transactions. Cryptocurrency is not a haven for illegal activities but a medium for an expansive range of secure, trackable transactions. Therefore, to say that crypto currency activities is a "source for concern" is not looking at the bigger picture.

First degree in the bag! The journey so far. Today, 23/10/2021 is now one of the most fulfilling days of my life. I graduated, and with good grade. 5 years of efforts, determination, late nights and nodding imaginary football have produced positive result. But then, it won't have been possible without the grace of the Almighty. Hence my utmost appreciation to HIM. Now a BSc hodler,(😊) there have been some lessons I have learned along the way, besides academics. The very first very first day I resumed till the last have been full of valuable lessons which has all contributed to what I achieved and who I am today. But then, I got some things wrong. **The Delusion** I have always been a pioneer of studying hard and getting good grades. I had this mindset even before I gained admission. I would always think; "I need to be put on my best in my course of study, since it's going to determine how far I can go in the pursuit of my career". Therefore, I expend all my time including my leisure into academics. Inexperienced that I was then, my opinion was that the better the grade, the higher the chance of securing a better employment. Hence, the spare time I was supposed to use to learn other skills that will be of help to me if certificate fails,I spent it all on academics. You might think; It's not really a bad idea, is it? Well it is. My friends were learning different survival skills both online and offline. They took classes and some of them are now masters in: Graphics design Fashion design Webmasters Auto mechanics Interior Decoration, and many more. I, being a hundred percent bookworm insisted that these activities would hinder me from getting the best grade I wanted for myself. Yes I did get the grade at the end, but why did I feel empty? **The realization** Your certificate is not enough!!! That is just the pure truth. If you go to school with the hope of getting your certificate only, then you have not really gone to school. The definition of education encompasses all ramifications, regardless. These days, employment is no longer by what you study, but by what you can do. That is why one with a lower grade can secure a job just because he posseses valuable digital skills, and not the one with the best credit on paper only. I am putting this out there to help students see the need to do more outside their academic field. Find something that interests you and learn it. Gain mastery over it. It is always better to have alternatives. I learned that a little too late; but not completely late. Actually, it is never too late to start working on what you believe in and have passion for. And this I have embarked on. **Gratitude: The need** 85 of us were admitted at the first year, 60 graduated. Few lost their lives, some had to drop out for certain reasons and others were rusticated (no offense, rusty). So indeed, I have to be grateful for the success of the journey. I have learnt what works and what does not, and I'm still learning. If given the opportunity again, I won't have to start from the scratch. I know what I will do differently and what I will enhance. **The bottom line** Get certified both in academics and on-demand vocational skills. Trust me, you can never go wrong. Don't think you can't handle it, you only need to be determined. The fact that you are reading this piece shows that you have a profitable skill already, blogging/writing. Keep it up. Finding a good paying job after secular education is like finding a needle in a haystack. Therefore you need any alternative you can get your hands on. And who knows, you may not even look for any job. Instead of adding to the labour force, you are lessening it. To all the students on the platform, I wish you a successful journey. Kindly allow me to excuse myself for now. It's felicitation time!!! **23/10/21**

It is Better to Pay Cash! I entered the gadgets store and was rounded by three guys. One pulled my arm, one pulled my leg and another my neck. They we're leading me to the section"Easy Buy". ( You would be given goods and pay percentage of the cost every month). How did I get there? I am cooldude and this is my first article on readcash. I have always been passionate about cryptocurrency in general, learning new ideas and communicating mine. Hence, I believe this platform is just for me. I am a writer/blogger for a couple of forums which I have been using to acquire many coins, and I'm excited to take it on here as well. A friend who goes by Happyboy introduced me to the platform after giving me detailed explanations of how it works. I made a determination to start my journey on readcash. Then I thought, what if I got a new phone for this journey? Well not exactly for that reason. I was going to buy a new phone regardless. I entered the gadget hub and experienced what was stated in the opening scenario. They wanted me to buy a smartphone and pay in a duration of 6 months. Why would anyone beg for others to purchase their goods on credit? You might ask. Well they make a gain of over 30 percent extra, and you can't really run with their money since they have all your banking information. Some might think this is a great idea for the masses. But is it really? No matter how sugar coated getting in debts might be presented, it is always better and cheaper to pay cash. And for good reasons. The idea of buying now and paying later just means going into debt. People buy things they can't afford at the moment and it is paid from the future earnings of the individual, money he does not have but expects to earn. That is why there is always a problem if workers earn lesser than expected of lose their jobs altogether. They will be unable to pay and this will lead to the creditors repossessing the things they purchased. Hence, bankruptcy starts smiling at the debtors. Not only do people buy what they don't need but they also lose money. Of course, they have to pay more for the product because of interest charges. Money lending is a lucrative business. In fact, companies do not want customers to pay cash, because of the huge profit they make on the interest on debt payments. Some even make more profit on the interest than they would on the item itself! Let us consider an example. The gadget I wanted to buy was $100, but if I go with easy buy it would be $125 for a duration of 6 months. Imagine what I could do with $25? If I purchased on credit, that means I teared $25 and threw away the pieces. **The best decision** Have a balanced view of material things and don't purchase what you can't afford. If you need anything that is costs a lot, plan ahead by saving for it. Never let a seller pressure you into debt by telling you about ‘easy credit.’ There is no such thing. All credit is hard. Meet anyone who is now unable to meet payments or who is having to declare bankruptcy and ask them about it. Indeed, it is cheaper to pay cash. That is why I didn't listen to those guys I mentioned at the onset of this article. I told them I have my money in cash, not in the least interested in going into debt. I also want to dedicate the new gadget to readcash, since the platform inspired me to purchase it. You guys don't have to thank me, it nothing really. 😊 I hope I can do more than this subsequently. Thanks for going through my first article. I hope I will enjoy it here. **16/10/2021**
