Reverse Psychology at Work
There was a group of school boys that making rustling sounds with their sticks on the metallic gate of a house as they pass by while returning home from school. The owner of the house was a 80 years Judge who had retired from court.
Old man was greatly disturbed by the noise made by these little ones especially when he was trying to catch some afternoon sleep.
These disturbances kept happening on a daily basis until the old man grew frustrated and he just had to come up with a plan.
One day, he called the children as soon as he saw them approaching from the balcony.
"Hey kids, I really Lethe noise you make everyday on my gate on your way back from school. Here's the deal. If you continue to make such lovely sounds, I would be paying you two dollars per day if you keep it up.
Boys were very excited at this proposition. So the old man started paying the kids two dollars every day for making a noise at his gate.
In the second week, he called the children again and explained to them that he was short of money. So instead of two dollars, he would only pay them one dollar. The children still agreed and continued the disturbances at the gate.
At the end if the third week, the old man revealed that he had no more money to pay them. So he wouldn't be able to continue to pay them even though they keep striking at the gates.
Well the chili weren't happy to hear this and they said " if you don't pay us, we would stop making a noise! "
And they never hit on the gate again.

This story further opens our minds on how we could handle people in various ways rather than resorting to violence. It had been proven that the psychological approach helps strengthen the communication between individuals rather than dispute and screaming. It also helps to improve your mentality about life and understand people and things a way that most people wouldn't understand.
This story shows us how to apply manipulation for a good change.
It also discribes how the power of money influences human behavior. Someone might just decide to keep adding value out of leisure but as but might later start doing it for reward. And if the rewards stops coming, they abandon it. Personally, I have missed some talented writers on this platform who had stopped writing when the reward per article started to drop.
The story also teaches us not to mess with the elderly as they would always beat you by experience 😆😆. They are have seen it all in life, so they are way wiser. Most of them even wish they could turn back the hands of time and start all over again.

Dealing with Difficult Family Members
We come across different and difficult individuals everyday and we'd always try out best stay away from them either by setting boundaries or minding our business.
But being related to someone who always brings challenges your way can be very frustrating since you can't entirely cut them off. Such an action would definitely put a strain on family bond since are are no ordinary person unlike like friends, colleagues and neighbors.
You are often expected to go tge extra mile and tolerate excesses of a sibling, parent and sometimes a cousin for as long as you can even if it would seem as if they don't add anything to your life aside pressure.
Sometimes trying to fix the problem by having them reason with you might just complicate things further. Also, striving to make a relative realise a mistake by helping them become a better person may only accomplish the opposite. Infact, it might even seem that the more sacrifices that you make, the more they keep demanding from you.
In such cases, it's better to let them be by accepting the fact that they aren't ready to change rather than wasting time. Familiarity breeds contempt you know. Soon, you'd realise that all the stresses that they have made you pass through wasn't worth it in the first place. Especially when they begin to figure out things for themselves through learning from past mistakes or when they come to terms with the reality on ground and decide that you were right all along.
Needless and continuous arguments with a family member could really mess things up. It could get to a level above where the both of you wouldn't come to a conclusion. Instead the argument would just be about who would win at last. And when it comes to this, manipulation and mind control might me use against you. All this could lead to hot verbal exchange then someone might get hurt physically or emotionally.
So, it's very important that you don't get into a fight or any form of confrontation with a family member, not even if when they that relative assaults you first ether verbally or physically. Maintain your integrity and allow things to go the other way.
Wether family or not, surround yourself with people who respect and care for you. Not folks who incites you or push you to the wall.
You deserve your own love and attention more than anyone else

A One Time Helper
The interview went well. From what she had heard about the company's reputation, Rebecca never expected the interview to be that easy. Even the HR acknowledged that she did very well compared to the other applicants.
She was then summoned to the director's office and yet again a series of questions followed. Then she was ask the trickiest question a job seeker would ever be asked in an interview.
"How much would you like to be paid?'
asked the manager.
Well, just like most other applicants, Rebecca had anticipated this question even before arriving at the venue and she gave as good a response as she could.
She was told that she would be contacted later and she felt quite disapointed. When a company says that, then there's a fifty percent chance that you wouldn't be recalled or employed. Just when she was about to leave, the HR called her back and told her that the Director if the company would like to meet her.
The Director kept looking at her for some moments and this made Rebecca a little bit comfortable.
He began to ask personal questions, then he asked her about her surname which looked very familiar to him. He asked her wether her father was Reverend "so and so" and she said yes. The Reverend was her father.
Then the Director gave a broad smile as he shook his head. This made Rebecca surprised.
Rebecca was more surprised when the man revealed to her that he knew her father and her father was a good person.
""Consider yourself employed" he told her. Apart from the fact that Rebecca had done very well in the interview, she was also the child of his "one time helper". So, he decided that he must give her the job and he ordered that her employment letter to be prepared immediately.
"Your father is a true man of God". He said. Years ago, I once attended his church and he prophesied to me that I would one day establish my own company. I held on to this prophesy for years despite the numerous challenges and today, his vision has come to pass.
The Director further asked about her father and she replied that he was still alive. He told her give him the church address and promised to come see her father the coming Sunday.
Rebecca was very elated me. After four years of being unemployed after graduation, she had just landed a job, with a lucrative firm at that. "This must be the work of God!" She exclaimed.
She told her father about the man who gave her the job but he couldn't even remember his name talk more of his face. Her father had been a pastor for over 25 years and he had ministered to hundreds of people.
Nevertheless, the family were full of joy, especially Rebecca's mother.

The Emerald Basket could Save your Life!
George was feeling unwell for days.
He was a 23 years old Law student at the time. Heart palpitations woke me up every night for the next three weeks .
He would feel my heart skip a beat and also later staet beating rapidly in the lecture hall. I couldn't concentrate on anything as the pounding became worse. It was really scary!
George have always been a sports guy, but my sporting life began to suffer seriously. Running round a field for just 5 minutes made him so breathless.
But that didn't deter him. George started engaging in tennis, which even though it was an active sport, doesn't require running here and there.
He became very good at the game, but he would still experience the chest aches and sweat so much that my opponent might slip over on the puddle of the sweat he had left off on the tennis court.
George wondered why he was having all these panic attack!
At this point, he would like to give special mention to;
* A close buddy who thought he was becoming a sloppy fellow that fakes chest pains while on the football field.
* His girl who thought he had become a lazy screw. She dumped him as he was not able to cope with her intimate demands as he used to.
George emotions became very high and at that point he realized that something was actually wrong with him.
He decided to book an appointment with a cardiologist. George thought the doctor would only give him some clot bursting medications and all my problems would be over in a week.
After several ECGs, chest x-rays and echocardiogram , George was diagnosed with an IHD ( Ischemic Heart Disease) !!
George found this very ridiculous. How is it possible that a 23 years could have an heart condition. Apart from the elderly, he was always under the impression that only young folks who abuse drugs could go down with an heart attack.
Well, the doctor was very Frank with him. It turned out that George had a congenital heart defect from birth and it didn't turn turn up until now.
As a matter of fact, George wasn't the first case. The doctor mentioned that he had seen over a dozen young people of same age bracket who have been diagnosed with an heart related ailment since the beginning of the year.
He told George that things could get worse and that was when he realised that he was screwed!!
A deep sadness he had never felt before completely enveloped George and he felt his world as ended.
George could die before graduation or before accomplishing any milestone in life. Hell! Would he still be breathing before the year ends?
All his dreams and aspirations shattered in front of him and George only saw an endless abyss of darkness and pains.
Due to anxiety, his blood pressure towered around 150/95, for the next couple of weeks. His heart rate stood at 90+.
Anyways, back in the Intensive Care Unit, it was again discovered that a major artery was around 70 percent blocked and have always been that way. Heart function was now at 50 percent. Things became scarier and George was placed on alot of medications. He felt more miserable.
George have always hated drugs so he started consuming lots meat and eggs everyday in the evening.
But the heart palpitations only increased. He could no longer walk more than 10 feet due to excruciating chest pains.
So George had to stick to the medications that made him feel more miserable.
For the next two years, George continued to search for alternative remedies. Eventually he stumbled on Joel Furrhman book on "The End of Heart Disease" and I decided to give it a try.
And Guess what?
He found the Emerald Basket!!!
A month later, his heart palpitations stopped significantly . His blood pressure went down. He was now averaging 110/70, his rest heart rate came down to the 60s.
Now talking about this mysterious basket.
Remember those crazy adventures in Disney' Wonderland where one sip from a bottle could make you shrink and a slice of cake would make you taller?
"Yea, i discovered a mysterious basket in real life that healed my heart".....permanently !!!
Now, these are all what I discovered in the Emerald Basket
* Mushrooms
* Avocados
* Beans
*Watermelon
* Chiaseeds
* Sweet potatoes
*Ginger and garlic
Not quite what you were expecting right?
BUT DO YOU KNOW THAT
* Garlic supplements are excellent for lowering blood pressure
* Mushrooms have anti inflammatory and antioxidant roles that protects your heart from inflammation
* Adding beans to your diet helps regulate your blood cholesterol levels. Higher cholesterol in the blood are a leading cause of heart failure
* Avocados cut the risks of coronary heart disease by 21 percent
* Sweet potatoes have alot of fibres that control the absorption of Sugar. Hence it is not only heart friendly, it also guards you from other metabollic conditions like diabetes.
Well you see, we humans are the only creatures that have refused to connect with mother nature and yet our existence entirely depends on her.
Remember that if you don't eat your food as medicine, then you would have to eat medicine as food.
Ever since I started eating from the emerald basket, I can now sprint for as long as I want without chest pains and also sleep peacefully
Would you rather pay frequent visits to the hospital and spend thousands of dollars anually on hospital bills and drugs?
I don't know about you, but depending on drugs for the rest of your life isn't something that anyone would like.
While others are complaining over the high cost of living due to a hike in packaged foods and drinks that contains seed oils, transfats and refine sugars which have been proven to harm the heart both in the short and long term.
By having an "emerald basket" at a ridiculously low price, you wouldn't only be healing your heart and protecting it from various ailments, you would also have enough change in your pocket to save and invest.
Today's emerald basket is ready to fix your heart for just a few dollars.

Read, Write, Internalize
Since I started my journey into the blogging world, o have come to realize that writing and reading regularly are mental exercises that strengthens the various parts of the brain. Especially the parts of the brain responsible for reasoning, creativity and analysis. Almost just as how regular workouts strengthens the muscles of the body. Especially the biceps and the rectus abdominalis muscles ( Six packs).
I can also testify that ever since I mastered writing, my vocabulary collection have been expanding on a daily, one word at a time. What is more amazing to is how new words are often subconsciously incorporated into my everyday speech and communication.
It's just incredible how much one internalizes while reading and one wouldn't realize until sometime in the near future when you'd apply the knowledge in a circumstance or situation even without thinking. It happens so fast and you would be amazed as how you have grown intellectually through regular practice of writing and reading.
Soon you become well grounded in the basic knowledge of various spheres of life, be it family, love, relationship, business, education technology, politics etc. Then in a short time, you are able to switch and adapt to writing in several areas as a result of your strengthened abilities.
No need to mention that these habits also impacts your psychological Heath positively. I hardly experience high stress levels or downtimes since I start blogging. I guess it's alright to say that manifesting one's creativity helps one in relaxing the nerves. Daily as I read, i am sure to come across a story that brightens up my day through laughter or motivation.
Your brain is always under constant stimulation when you read, thereby heaving off any negative or unhappy thoughts that have been a burden for long. The brain does this by deflecting your thoughts through an entirely different but more convenient plane.
Although, reading and writing might not be the permanent solution to your troubles, but the tranquilizing effect really helps a lot.
And as your imagination becomes more versatile through reading, you'd get get a better understanding about all aspects of life and life's challenges. Thereby taking you several steps further towards finding the solution to your troubles.
It is no wonder that some folks, especially the elderly have found an habit of reading a page or two before bedtime. This is because reading helps to steady your body and soul and you get to enjoy a peaceful sleep afterwards.
In the same vain, w few minutes of benediction ( reading) in the morning would definitely ensure that you have a brighter day. Spending some minutes reading the scriptures helps to equips you with the mental and spiritual fortitude to take on the challenges of the ever busy world.

So Long they Keep Talking Behind your Back
We all have been found ourselves in such a position before and some of us might definitely encounter similar scenarios where others would talk ill behind our backs because of reasons best known to them.
***A trader who deals in clothes picked up his business once again after relocating to a new town. Through hardwork and dedication, his business began to flourish again after a short time. He was also able to open other clothing outlets in different parts of the city and within two years he built a house and moved in.***
***As expected, other cloth merchants became jealous and they started slandering him. Some called him a dishonest trader who engage in fraud and other clandestine practices I'm order to make sharp profits.***
***These rumors soon got to his wife and it made her really bothered. She decided to speak to her husband about all the gossips that have been flying about.***
***The man looked at her and said:***
***Well, " that's great, since they can only say all these behind my back, it means that I am at the front***".
______________________
Isn't it amazing that people who have known you for a very long time never said anything bad about you or your behavior all this while since nothing changed through those years. But as soon as things begin to take shape for the better in your life, then they begin to spread unkind stories just to damage your reputation and honor. There's just one word to describe that " JEALOUSY".
Well, I have noticed that people tend to slander an individual when they see that he's really doing very well for himself. Especially when he is too busy and doesn't have time for the people who talk behind his back.
As an individual, instead of feeling hurt that you are being talked about in a negative light as a result of your outstanding accomplishment, be proud of yourself instead! Be proud that that people are interested in your life more than the way they are interested in theirs. Such malicious tales shouldn't dampen your spirit at all.
When I'm in such a situation, I find it rather amusing than disturbing because most of the things that are said about me are rather ridiculous.
Just keep pushing till you reach the zenith of your ambition. Then you detractors would realize that they have been wasting their time.
Well apart from wasting their time, they had voluntarily become your promoters too as they continue to give you the necessary publicity without getting paid. And ofcourse, don't forget to thank them for a job well done.

Liar or a Manipulator
I believe we all have all heard of these statements:
***Life ain't fair, it's survival off the fittest, business is business, trust no one, no permanent friends only permanent interests go hard or go home, change or perish. Manipulate or be manipulated, all is fair in war and in warfare.***
These are popular phrases that convey deeper meaning than they appear to be. Also these lines could be used by someone to justify a manipulative action or behavior.
Manipulation is simply a method of getting someone to do your bidding either willingly or unwilling, and afterwards deriving alot of benefits while the other person is left with little or no benefits.
Often, the pathological liar is termed as a Manipulator but they are not exactly thesame.
A liar would tell a lie to get something from an individual. He tells a most convincing lie to so you could part with that thing. Also, a liar might be afraid if you find out.
But a Manipulator seeks to always control your mind so that he/she can continue to benefit from you not just materially, but also emotionally and otherwise, thereby robbing you of your essence for as long as he/she wants.
A manipulative person would always trick you into taking the blame and criticism for something that might not entirely be your fault and they continue to do so.
You see, in some instances, when a person tells a lie, he still acknowledges the other person is more superior than them. Someone might tell a lie to a parent, sibling or spouse in order to save a situation or just so that the don't feel so hurt by the reality. This might become necessary due to the respect or love you have for a loved one.
But a manipulative person not only lies, bit cheats too! He also sees himself superior than the other person and he feels he can use them at will.
Ofcourse a person might not realize that they are being manipulated. Infact you might not even be aware that you are being used to do a dirty job for a manipulative person.
A manipulative person would go as far as severing the ties between his/her victim and their family/friends especially when someone begins to read and understand their manipulative ways then try to warn the victim. A manipulative person never fails to remind his victim that he/she is the only one the victim can trust and everyone else is an enemy. He/she might also add that their victim "are lucky " to have them in their lives.
It is no surprise that an individual who have mastered the art of manipulation disguise as a very attractive, caring, innocent and generous individual to their victim. Then when they are done with the victim, he/she begins to show the other side.
A liar only tries to seek a way of escape before he's discovered. But a manipulative person wouldn't mind harming a victim when his/her true nature is about to be revealed. 😬😬

Look and Act Strong, Even if you are Fragile !
Recently, a close friend of mine confided in me. She told me that she was depressed because everyone was leaving her. "No one seems to want or care me". she said.
I saw through her pains and felt very sorry for her.
I can guess that the reason why she thinks people aren't interested in her is because she ain't pretty enough, intelligent, funny or rich.
Well that's a very wrong assumption and I can bet that thousands of people also hold this myopic perception about themselves whenever they become "unlucky " in friendship or relationship.
Personally, I think people walking out of your life could be the best gift they could ever give you, only if you realize it.
Your mental health would improve tremendously when you begin to realize that our happiness lies in changing your attitude towards circumstances and people.
I have always had this belief that true strength comes from within.
In my opinion, anyone who could control his/her emotions no matter how harsh the actions and words of others are, against them is the most powerful person and not the person who could raise a 1000kg car.
Infact, when people realize that you depend on them for your happiness and peace of mind, the more they would disrespect you and even find you disgusting.
There's absolutely nothing wrong in being alone. It's ok if no one messages you. It's still ok if no one asks about your day. Better be that way than to be around people who don't see your value.
Make use of the power of the 4S, Solitude, Singularity, Serenity and Spirituality to recreate your self.
Earnestly work and thrive towards forming a new identity, the one that never bores the crowd.
Instead of spending long hours sulking and lamenting on how no one wants you, why don't you make them "regret" ever abandoning you.
Make them realize that the person that they treated as a "piece of trash " stood back up, invested in herself and transformed into the most admirable butterfly that everyone wants to be with
And when the time comes when they begin to crave for your attention by virtue of your unexpected transformation, don't let them in! Don't even allow them to come close.
You've got to be aware of your own worth and value. They don't deserve your time anymore niether do they have any space in your life.
It's now your moment and you earned it . You must now enjoy the respect that you have been craving for a long time. And you didn't get it by asking people to love or appreciate you. You earned it by embracing yourself and embarking on a journey of self discovery.
Now you would continue t grow from glory to glory.

Would you Start a business with a Family Member?
I have always loved the idea about going into a business partn ership with my brother and sister. I know I can trust them with my life and cooperating together would really interest me. I can't say the same for my cousins though, even though we meet everyday.
Trust, belief, love, respect, care and tolerance are the major factors that determines the success of a family business. Birkshere Hathaway, Walmart, EBay are family business that have survived for decades and are still growing stronger every year.
One good thing about a joint family business is that decisions are taken quickly as at when due as a result of the proximity between the members. No valuable nformation or suggestion is been held back by any of the members since they are all after the success of the business.
Also, in tough times, members are always ready to make sacrifices so that the family legacy can continue to live on. They wouldn't fancy a situation when they would be made a laughing stock by people since Tue family's reputation is at stake. Hence, there's always a higher level of dedication, commitment and accountability in a joint family business.
Anyway, research had shown that 4 out of 5 family businesses fail before 10 years.
You see, on the flip side money can really bring out the terrible side in a person no matter the closeness. When a sibling stab you at the back, the pain is more excruciating than when someone else betrays you. Worse is that you might not be able to initiate a debt recovery process by dragging him or her to court since you share the same blood. You wouldn't want things to get messier than they already are as the family would continue to be in the spotlight for the wrong reasons.
Also, problems might arise due to improper succession plan. Like a situation where the older members or founding fathers (brothers) ofnte business decide to retire after the long years of establishing a successful business. Now the next generation of leaders ( Children, nephews and nieces) could turn out to have different personalities and divergent views about the management of the organization.
Also, they might also be influenced by their spouses and friends. Hence the organization might begin to suffer due to disagreement among members as a result of lots of disparity in views and opinions. Not also forgetting that the older surviving members would always want their opinions to be seek before any decision is reached.
In a short while, nepotism, greed, incompetence, family feud would crumble the foundation and inadvertently lead to the demise of the organization

Getting by with the 48 Laws of Power
I was told about this book when I was only 18 years ago. I heard alot of people saying that the book had benefitted them in alot of ways when they started applying the lessons learnt.
However, a few people said that they wouldn't recommend it because some of the laws wee quite manipulative and could be used for selfish purposes. I am quite sure that the author,bRobert Greene warned the readers against this.
Well, it's never in my personality to manipulate or sacrifice others for personal gains. Meanwhile, I'm a kind of person who is very mindful of the kind of information I absorb and the kind of books I read.
Needless to say, I have gone through the book and I was able to grasp some of the laws that suits me and they have been beneficial to me so far.
These are my top three favorites
**LAW 1**
**Neve outshine** **the master:**
This rule specifically works well in an organization or a workplace. I have come to realize that if one is very submissive to his superiors by making them feel very comfortable above and also following their orders to the letter, then such a person would put his or herself in a good position to attract favors, promotions and recommendations from a boss.
You could also massage your boss's ego by always giving credit to them after a job well done, even though it's all by your efforts. Saying stuffs like ;
"my boss taught me how to do it "
OR
"I simply followed the instructions of my boss".
These statements could really make your boss move in a big way for you.
**LAW 4**
**Always say less than necessary.**
This has been a golden rule for me as I have virtually been observing it for the most parts of my life. Anybody who talks too much is not always taken seriously by the crowd. He or she would always appear ordinary and even boring to the extent that they begin to loss whatever respect others have for them.
Let other people do the talking while you listen. Chances are that you would hardly learn a thing if you are always the one doing the talking.
Only speak when your opinion is asked especially in a meeting or gathering. Even at that, you should go straight to the point without boring the crowd with unnecessary details.
Remember to also choose your words carefully .
I have also observed that people who speak less appear more powerful, admirable and intelligent than folks who are always shooting off at the mouth.
**LAW 15**
**Know who you are dealing with. Never offend the wrong people.**
It's advisable never to take anyone for granted by stepping on toes, especially when you don't know much about the other person as different people react differently.
Some people are arrogant and violent and wouldn't hesitate to attack you when they feel threatened or disrespected. Others may appear calm and harmless on the surface but are very good at plotting revenge by stabbing you on the back while you aren't looking.
They wouldn't care how long it might take, they must have their own pound of flesh someday.
Also, there are folks who are very insecure that even a harmless joke about them could stirr up alot of ill feelings since they already believe that everyone is against them.
Trust me, you wouldn't want t/such a person to have their eyes on you too while thinking of how to make you pay for the pains you have caused him
*************************
Thanks for reading. You could also mention any of the laws you find useful in everyday life.
There's Something Magical about Poetry
Recently, i have b en developing a steady attraction towards Poetry and I gradually developing an interest in the field day by day. All thanks to @Olasquare who have been spicing his articles with awesome poetic lines that literally make me hold my breath while reading.
No doubt he has always been an amazing writer whose articles makes me ponder about life. Adding poetry to the mix hits so different and yet in a profound way. It seems like a voice coming from the core of his heart.
Each word is positioned flawlessly on the plane that it should be, just like a jigsaw puzzle, thereby carving into one's emotions, as if to mirror one's life, through the past, present and future via a bottomless well of creativity. This often makes one to experience profound feelings when gradually distill like slow raindrops into hearts, spreading tranquility in all corners......
What am I even writing sef ? 🤭🤭. Pls pardon my jargons, I was carried away in the moment. Poetry have started tickling me and I would definitely go visiting the state's library on Monday and get some books on poetry. So, expect more poetic lines in my articles too.😆
On a serious note, one could express a thousand messages in just a few lines of poetry. Poetry says all that is unsaid, it soothes the shattered heart, it succinctly coveys the ideals of an ambitious dreamer and expresses the unspoken feelings of an introverted soul in the most undiluted form...... Forgive me if I am sounding ridiculous again 🤭
Well, you could be a doctor, engineer, lawyer, an enterprenuer or any occupation they is essential for the sustenance of your life, but you might still not have a happy life. But one will always find happiness in poetry, love, care, music, painting etc, because these are what defines our life, what gives it meaning. They make our existence worthwhile.
This is the reason why people who possesses the extraordinary skill of poetry are always self aware and are not easily rattled be circumstances. This is because poetry helps it's writer to gain a deeper understanding about life, different human behaviors and also the forces that drives human choices.
Indeed, poetry if the language of the gods and that's the reason why it hits hard. And anyone who learns and masters this language becomes sharp, very sharp then any other person you would come across.

Is Anger Learned or Inherited?
know that intelligence, patience, kindness and hardwork could be heriditary. Beauty ofcourse is passed from a parent to a child. I have even heard that some mental illness could be as a result of a genetic connection between parent and offspring. Like wise height, eye color, baldness, sickle cell anaemia and a host of others that run in the lineage.
Recently, I am beginning to hear that anger could also be a transmittable character too. A young man could display a terrible anger and a elder would comment, " his father was also a very angry person, he did such and such at the age of 20", or " his grandfather was very hot tempered ".
Scientifically speaking, anger is more of a learned behavior than an inherited trait. A child is always born into love and kindness and he learns or gets more love and kindness in the family he grows. Although, some environmental and emotional factors might make him adapt to other traits in the journey of survival. Fear and anger are acquired by an individual as he continue to evolve.
Don't forget that anger is hardly the primary feeling. Sadness, dissappoitment, depression, loneliness, anxiety are most times the basic cause of anger. A negative emotion tends to give rise to another negative emotion that would be physically expressed in it's place.
That's why sometimes when I see a display of anger, I usually feel sorry for the individual instead of rebuking them. Especially when I know a person could be a kind and loving person every other day.
I understand that there could definitely be something wrong in his/her life presently and they are doing their best to mask it. But now the individual has been pushed to the limit that he/she just have to vent out some of these frustration.
Does this helps? Ofcourse not. It only makes things worse for them and others more than it already is.
A person who is prone to anger is really passing through alot and might not have anybody to talk to. He/she might be feeling unloved especially when that person begin to make a mental comparison between themselves and others.
So, it is always advisable to encourage siblings d children to communicate their troubles with a parent, teacher or elder and talk freely about their emotions and deepest fears.
Maybe someone might believe that his anger issues are heriditary and could be passed to his children, or maybe his child have already been inclined to anger.
If this is the case, it is left to that person to break the yoke of that destructive emotion that has been plaguing his family through all means possible. Either by exercising discipline/self control, patience, seeking the assistance of an expert or even through a spiritual procedure. Don't forget that you are a model and star to your kids. It is your responsibility to ensure that they enjoy a peaceful and fufilled life. It is your responsibility to save the next generation!
I don't even want to begin to talk about all the consequences and irreparable damages both physical and emotional that comes after anger.

It is Important that you Set your Priorities
Without setting our priorities, we often end up lost in life.
It's very common to see many people talk about all the things they would do or like to do in life and even emphasize it out of proportion. But at the end of the day, they wouldn't be able to show what they have accomplished. This often happens to everyone. We have so many interests but very little time. Sometimes it's not that our day is too short but it's the distractions that are too much which in turn makes our day seem short if we continually indulge in them. By the way, if we sleep for six hours daily, we still have a long sixteen hours remaining. It's up to us to decide what to do with the time.
As an individual, it is important that you brainstorm frequently on how you spend your time on things. How do you spend your money? How do you spend your time. You gotta be sincere! Where does most parts of your money and time go to? Is it worth your money or time?
Do you spend most of your your day in the media, with friends or do you spend time learning new things or exercising.
In most cases, even if we don't engage in common distractions around, we still don't get our priorities right because alot of stuffs is going through our mind at thesame time. Infact, we operate mostly from a emotional or sentimental state than logical. And this is the reason why often times, we make hasty decisions due to pressure or fear of uncertainty. Then we find out that we are stuck without achieving anything meaningful all the while. And that's a terrible state to be as one could fall into a deeper misery since one have been trying so hard but with very little results to show for all the hardwork.
So, once in a while, it is advisable for you to take a break and make a detailed introspection of your life, challenges and goals. Try to calm down and breathe, sleep over the issue(s), go for a walk, meditate. Start over again, this time more intelligently, putting factor into a bigger perspective. Set little goals at fist and begin by taking baby steps towards achieving this simple task before going for the bigger prize. Because without practicing and becoming successful on smaller goals, you might not achieve the desired effect in the bigger ones.
Lastly, never undermine the power of focus even in achieving smaller tasks.
Do you know that if all the muscles in your body is concentrated into a particular direction, then you could be able to raise a weight of over 1000kg. That's almost thesame weight of a car! Isn't that Amazing?!
And that's the power of focus. Set a particular goal today, no matter how big it small, and give everything into acheiving it

I Never Knew that Fasting was this Powerful. It Could Cure Cancer!
Just yesterday, I was reading an old medical journal online and I came across an article that really struck me. It was about a study that describes the growth and survival of cancerous cells.
Meanwhile, cancer ( malignant) cells could continue to live and grow in a person's body for years without showing any clinical symptoms. You all have heard about Stage 1, 2, 3 and 4 stages of cancers right?
The WARBURG effect was an idea proposed by a German medical doctor , Otto Henrich Warburg in 1883. He proves that cancer cells actually thrive on the glucose in our body for survival. He later won the Nobel prize in medicine in the year 1931.
Well for the benefit of those of us that don't know. Glucose is what gives us energy-FOOD, and 70% of the food we eat daily contains glucose (carbohydrates- refined sugar or simple sugar).
So, through the process of respiration, glucose is broken down by oxygen to release energy to our body cells so that we could be able to carryout with our daily activities.
And guess what!
Cancerous cells in our body benefits too!
Glucose also provides for their energy requirements as they continue to proliferate and grow to the extent where they start to invade and destroy the body.
Therefore the best alternative for cancer prevention and cure is by starving those malignant cells . When they are deprived of food and nutrients, something called ***apoptosis*** ( cell death) would happen to them.
Now the body defense system will mobilise immune cells to digest ( bury) these dead cells. Just like the way they do to other germs and bacterias that have been successfully neutralized by the immune system. A process known as ***phagocytosis.***
Dr. Warburg's discovery opened the doors of hope for a permanent cure to cancer through reducing the the consumption of glucose. You can get more knowledge about this from a book written by Dr. Jason Fung, **The Cancer Code.**
Sometimes in 2013, during my first year in high school, I remember my mother telling a neighbor that visitors were not allowed to take soft drinks, fruits juice and energy drinks to patients in the cancer ward of a big general hospital where I was born. Now I understand the reason while such a code was put in place. But I don't know wether it still exists again.
Unfortunately, his discovery was never implemented by renowned Heath organizations around the world. Instead it was replaced by chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
And that's because the big pharmaceutical industries which is also part of the system were not yet ready to consider a research like that. Because as it is right now, chemotherapy is a already a multi billion dollar industry.
We also know that cancer do return after chemotherapy treatment have been completed..... And it comes back harder . Then the system gives you more chemotherapy, infact a harder one.
And yes, prolonged chemotherapy actually destroys the liver. Then they give the person chemotherapy again and again, rinse and repeat, continue till he eventually dies.
Don't forget
***" A patient cured is a customer lost"***
Therefore:
limit the intake of carbs ( either refined or unrefined) to the barest minimum.
Engage in regular exercising , and ofcourse
Adapt fasting for longer periods (taking just a meal a day, for starters) which leads your body to undergo ketogenesis.
When your food is right, drugs could become very useless to you and you would have enough money to save and invest 🥰

One-chance Robbery !
In my Nigerian pidgin English " one-chance" is used just like a "catch-22" situation. A dangerous or desperate situation where there's no way out. It could be a financial mess, loss of property or a costly mistake. When you here a citizen say "I don enter one-chance", he means that he is in deep trouble.
Over the years, the term one-chance have also been used to describe a group of criminals that use commercial buses to lure unsuspecting passengers. One chance robbery is quite common in the most populous in Lagos State, which is the most populous state in the country and also the commercial hub. Infact almost every one residing in Lagos have either fall victim or have a friend or relative who had been exploited by the "one-chance" criminals
Normally, a commercial vehicle doesn't begin to move unless all the passenger seats have been filled. So, a group of criminals numbering 4 or 5 would pretend to be bus Passengers so that an innocent passenger would see that the bus is almost filled and he hops into it immediately. Most times one of the criminals would shift towards the vehicle window so that their victim could have no option than to sit in the middle, thereby putting him in a more vulnerable position.
Some Passengers might still not suspect such movements because it's normal for another passenger who have boarded a boss before you to enjoy the previledge of sitting close to the window.
People who mostly fall victim to one-chance buses are people who are already late or are in a hurry to arrive at a particular destination.
One- chance buses mostly operate at late hours of the night, since the roads and streets are mostly deserted at such periods. A passenger waiting patiently on the side would definitely hop in immediately without suspected anything since his mind is only fixated on reaching home.
Then as soon as the vehicle had reached a particular distance, one of the criminals would announce
" this is a one-chance operation and all of you are advised to behave yourself if you don't want to get hurt ".
Afterwards, the Passengers are then dispossessed of their money, phones, wristwatch, earrings and necklaces, before being offloaded on the cold sidewalk. Anyone who dares to struggle would the criminals might become bloodied either with a gun's butt or a wooden or metallic rod. It's not always wise to fight with criminals you know, Just give them what they want and you will be fine.
Sometimes kidnappers and ritualists operates with one-chance buses and their victims are more unfortunate

Too Young to Suffer anything Permanent
Yesterday, I heard a very devastating. An elder sister to a friend was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. She is just 36 years old. Indeed this is really too much for a young person to suffer and emotionally devastating for a lady. I find this very scary! I wouldn't even wish it on my worst enemy because what likely likely awaits her in the nearest future includes Type 1 Diabetes, kidney failure or liver failure.
I also remember reading somewhere that this was the disease that Steve jobs, the founder of iPhone succumbed to in October 2011. He was around 56years old at the time.
Honestly speaking, it is quite alarming the rate which young people fall victim to chronic diseases nowadays.
20 years ago, such chronic diseases are mostly found among a few aged people but today, young folks less than 40 years of age are being diagnosed with heart problems and kidney failure at an unprecedented rate.
Recently, I learnt that a disease such as diabetes could live in a person's body for close to two decades before beginning to manifest clinical symptoms. Cancerous cells could also continue to grow for years before one would be able to notice any outward visible signs.
An elder brother who is a doctor had told me that research have revealed the liver of a handful of young people are already looking like that of a 70 year old because the organ have already been overwhelmed through risk factors like smoking, drinking excessively, obesity and overconsumption of refined sugars( junks). Reason why some youths tend to look older than their actual ages because as the liver grows weaker, one's susceptibility to such chronic diseases increases. The liver is compromised!
Although,a type of diabetes is heriditary but most of other chronic conditions like cancer, kidney damage and liver cirrhosis are mostly due to unhealthy lifestyle and ofcourse, negligence. Routine medical examination is also highly recommended at least once is in a while.
At this point in your life, you should know that your health is it your greatest asset. I mean it is only when you are healthy that you could make enough Money to acquire that nice car, mansion, go on vacation and become popular in social media. It is only when you are alive that you can be able to "***live your best life".***
Also, in today's world where we have more of unnatural foods and GMOs, it is very important to watch what you eat, how you eat and where you eat! Some of the products ( not food) we eat have been provedln to play a major role in acquiring such chronic ailments when consumed overtime.
I honestly believe that if you can control what goes into your mouth, then you would have successfully succeeded in fixing your health 80 percent, all things being equal.
This is the more reason why young people in their 20s and 30s should insist on prioritising their health over everything else.
Being young doesn't give you an idemnity or let-off to live as freely as you like. Instead, it hands us the previledge of safeguarding our future, most importantly out health and finances.
What more can I say!

Her fourth husband also died
I'm very sorry if today's article might sound very silly or unbelievable especially to my non Afrikan friends . But honestly, this isn't based on speculation, I have read it in a book and I have heard it happening in real life. I even know someone or two who this thing has happened two.
Few years ago, when I was still in in junior high school, I read a literature titled "The Concubine" written by an an ace African author, Kelechi Amadi.
The main character of the novel was a very attractive young woman called Ihuoma whose husband, Maduka had died recently albiet mysteriously. Shortly after her husband's death, another man, Ekwueme became interested in her and asked for her hands in marriage.
Meanwhile, an old sage had revealed to Ekwueme's father that Ihuoma was cursed. She was never meant to get married throughout her life. Any man who disobeys the gods by going ahead to bed Ihuoma would die before his first child is born. But Ekwueme was already stubbornly in love with Ihuoma.
Ekwueme had said to his father ,
" Papa, There's nothing I wouldn't do to become Ihuoma's husband, even if it is for just one night".
I still remember the last sentence of the novel till today.
"***This spirit of death was known to take the souls of men shortly after midnight, and that was when Ekwueme died". ... The end***
Who wouldn't love Ihuoma? She was not only extremely gorgeous, she was also very kind, humble and intelligent. But sadly, men could only admiire her from afar.
Recently, my old aunty, a retired nurse who always tells me educative stories told me about one of her patient who had married four times and non of her husbands lived up to two years after marriage. I immediately remembered and told my aunty about the book i read and I was shocked when she told me that it's not mere fiction.
Such women are also found in real life and she knows three of such women very well. No need to mention that they are very attractive too.
According to my aunty, it is forbidden for relatives and visitors to have s*x around the premises where the burial arrangements of the dead is being made. Any child concieved from such intercourse would be cursed by the spirits and any man whose manliness touches her thigh, later in life would meet his doom.
Hence they are popularly refered to as "***red thigh women***" in the African culture.
In a rural setting, it is quite easy to spot such ladies since the history of all the families in a village are well known. Hence people are warned to stay away from them.
But in Urban spreads where different people from different background who know very little about the next each other interact everyday, the chances of meeting and falling for someone (man/woman ) with an extraordinary problem is a bit higher.
That's why in my parts of the world, alot of folks do some thorough spiritual investigation into the life of prospective partner(s) before getting married, in order to avert some unfortunate and unforseen circumstances.
Generally speaking, it is safer if one could shun promiscuity because one might end up inviting tragedy for himself/herself all for the sake of a few minutes gratification.
Something mysterious might begin to happen soon, it starts with little problems before compounding into costly damages.

Jealousy and Hatred are symptoms of a Defective Soul
***"Thoughts of malice, envy, disappointment, despondency robs the body and f it's health and grace".***
***- James Allen***
Throughout my 22years of existence, I have never seen a malicious person who had come to accomplish up to half of what he or she envies in another. This shows that bitterness and malice only destroys the soul of the one who harbours them. Jealousy is one of the seven deadly emotions to shun if you want to become victorious in life.
I have come to discover that people who feel uncomfortable at the success of others are rather insecure especially when the person whom they are jealous of have never provoked them. Why would you feel threatened by another person's accomplishments when that person have never threatened you before. It only shows that a jealous person have self esteem issues. It shows that they donot believe that they could equally become successful too. Reason why they would stoop so low to hate. I think that's quite childish and immature.
People who are envious of others fail to realize the sacrifices, efforts and obstacles that other people have painstakingly endured to be who they are today. When you find your self hating on other, always remember that the success of one would never deter yours. Instead let it serve as a motivation that would aspire you towards further growth. Don't forget that you are also a work in progress too, and ofcourse growth doesn't happen in an instant. Before you become a teacher, you have to be a student first, before you become a Master, you have to serve and before you become a doctor, you have to be patient. Instead of hating, why don't you improve your self by his counsel and learn from his mistakes so that your own journey would become easier.
So, why don't you clap and rejoice for another man's success since your own victory is at hand. . Don't forget that the race isn't against one another. The real enemy is time, indiscipline, procrastination, fear, doubt, indecision, even social media.
Jealousy leads to a dysfunctional soul, and when a soul is dysfunctional, the body and mind becomes dysfunctional too. An healthy mind is never jealous.
A healthy mind always realises that happiness and contentment comes from the inside and not through material possessions or worldly achievements. A healthy soul would always believe in itself and use that belief to better the mind to become the best version of thyself. But a defective soul would always seek happiness through comparison with others and this would definitely cause more harm and weakness to the soul.

When Pronouncing Somebody's Name Becomes a problem
When I was in class five in elementary school, a new student whose name was Vaughan came to join us. Well, he'd made the introduction and told us that his was Vaughan, but we wouldn't just stop spelling his name as "Vogan" especially when reading through other list of student names.
I wondered why the spelling of his name would be different from it's pronunciation and our English teacher couldn't give us any plausible explanation on the reason why. She would only say that that was how the name is spelt in English and we have no choice than to respect that.
There was another lady whose name was "Joyce". Joyce was very easy to pronounce but the problem would definitely be from the spelling. Some kids might read it as "joysee".
Also had a guy whose name was Michael but he would always frown at anybody who calls him "Mike". Well, even if this was a cool version of his original name he didn't like it and we respected that. Infact according to him, people who called him Mike instead of Michael are lazy people who prefer shortcuts. Lol.
Not only English names though, even our native African names could be pronounced the wrong way, especially the surname. There was also this lady whose name was Motunrayo. Ofcourse this name wouldn't be difficult to pronounce even for a white man. But unfortunately, some mischievous students would want to hurt her my calling her "motuary". How cruel!
Sometimes, some African names or surnames might even be difficult for another person in thesame country but from a different tribe to pronounce . Infact some children ( gen. Z's) can't even pronounce their own surname properly. There's no need to mention that such children speak English more fluently than their own tribe. Often times, they might be scolded by an elder from thesame tribe or from a different tribe for their inability to learn their mother tongue.
I have heard of alot of young Nigerians that have migrated to the UK and US and had to later modify their native names for easier pronounciation by their hosts. Ademola is modified to Adie. Fashanu becomes modify to fash, Mayorkun is modified to Mayo, Omolola/ Omolara becomes Lola/Lara ........
🤗🤗
Well, I don't think that omitting a syllabus, vowel, consonant from your name would make anyone like you the more. Afterall, I know some English and other foreign names that could be tongue twisters too, although o wouldn't mention them 😆😆
Ofcourse, u understand that it could be very frustrating repeating the correct pronunciation of your name dozens of time in a day to someone from a different culture. I even heard that the "Nelson" was not the original first name of Mandela. It was given to him by the colonizers who apparently got tired of trying to get his native name right 🤣
Your name is your name and it plays the biggest part of your identity. You should make sure that is is pronounced properly else you could become stuck with a new identity irrespective of wether you like it or not.

Food Business could be a Good Idea
Those days while still in high school, there's this lady that sells snacks whose little shop was just opposite our school gate. She also had a little fridge where she stores soft drinks fo sales. She had a show glass where she would display her tasty snacks in a most appealing manner.
Gentlemen and ladies, there's no way any student would pass by her shop without stopping to buy a snack. Infact 70 percent of her buyers would ask for another one and bottle of soft drink after getting a taste of one of her very delicious snack.
Heck! She doesn't even have a shop where she pay rent. She operates her business under the shade of two big tress and customers get to enjoy her delicacies while sitting on the long and comfortable benches under the tree. That woman was really making money because her business was on the road. And guess what, her snacks were very cheap!
Unlike other types of businesses, food business requires very little advertising. Customers are very willing to advertise your business through word of mouth provided your foods are good. Let me give you an example:
I have never seen an advert of Domino's Pizza of KFC but I would always like to visit these food brands because of what I have heard people say about their experience. And this is why such businesses could continue to grow for years to come.
On the flip side, food business could be very delicate. Just one negative experience by a customer could influence the opinions and thoughts of hundreds of other customers or potential customers as family and friends would definitely get to hear about it.
The mistake might be as simple as microwaving a a snack before serving a customer. That's why as a food business operator, one have to always have an important communication skill with his/her customers.
Never fail to ask them about the meals, and if they enjoyed them. It encourages your customers to leave wonderful beautiful compliments. And if there a they were not satisfied, make sure that you improve in your delivery and promise them a better experience next time.
Even walk-in restaurant could still get a steady stream of customers with little marketing, as far as you are located in an area that have with a large pedestrian traffic in the heart of a city. What's more amazing is that you could expand your business space or bracnches and increase your staff strength to cater for need feeding needs of the ever growing population, so long as you keep maintaining a Gold standard.
Recently I heard the story of a man who started out three years ago by selling loaves of bread by the roadside. Today he owns two big bakery and a popular eatery in the city. I wasn't surprised at all, afterall there's nobody that doesn't eat bread.

We Were Told we Would get a Job After Earning a Degree
In my country, I have seen students who studied hard in order to gain admission to study medicine. Not because they had a passion for saving life buy because they see studying medicine as an escape route out of poverty.
And after becoming a Doctor, they later realised that medicine wasn't as lucrative as they had thought and Doctors aren't rich. They only make enough money to feed d live fairly comfortably. Well I have seen alot of cases where doctors who are mostly underpaid had to leave she shores of the county in search of better opportunities.
Like wise engineering, law, and banking. People tend to drool or imagine that these courses are marketable and their practitioners earn very attractive salaries. But today, I have seen countless jobless engineers, bankers and lawyers.
It then follows that a "marketable course " does not exist. The earlier a young person begins to realise that, the easier his or her adult life would be.
A mentor once told me that students who look for marketable courses to study in the university are lazy folks. They want a soft life, they want to earn a salary and line in comfort only for them to realise later that things are not as simple as they look at the surface. Hence they get disappointed.
And those who never got the opportunity to study a "marketable course" would most likely into the same if not deeper misery since they have allowed a price of paper called "certificate " to control their happiness.
No course, wether marketable or not will make you great. Take charge of your life and determine your own destiny by succeeding in things that you do or rather, in your own way.
Do the things that you love so well that people would come back and pay you for doing them.
Ha e bigger goals in life, learn valuable skills, keep an open mind by becoming more interested in many things. Learn and unlearn. Be versatile, after all the most successful people in the world are self taught.
Don't limit yourself to the class room or your certificate. Make the world your classroom and your playground. Strive to build an horizontal profile and not a vertical one.

A Baby's Stomach is just the size of his fist
Yesterday, I am my younger sister went to visit a relative who had just given birth to twins. She wasn't expecting twins so it came as a very pleasant surprise to her and everyone else. She would probably put in twice as much effort needed in the nursing of her newborn. And of course, she will need all the guidance and support she can get since she is a first-time mom.
On our way back home, my younger sister who had a very inquisitive nature couldn't help but wonder how a mother of twins or triplets would be able to cope with breastfeeding them.
" Wouldn't it be quite stressful when compared to a woman who had given birth to a single baby? Would the mammary gland be able to produce enough breastmilk to cater for the feeding of two children multiple times every day?" She had asked.
I remembered I also wondered about this when I was little.
Well, the mother has two mammary glands right? Then it would be one child to each and there would be no issue.
An infant's stomach is just the same size as its fist. It's not as big as my stomach or your stomach 🤣🤣. So the mother's mammary glands are sufficient to cater for the feeding of her twins or triplets for more than a year.
Milk production in the mammary gland is induced by a special reflex positive feedback mechanism which is made possible by the hormone prolactin. The more the baby suckles, the more the mammary gland would be stimulated to produce more milk. Just like when a woman is in labor, a hormone known as oxytocin causes uterine contraction which in turn facilitates the steady movement of the child's body toward the opening as the mother continues to push.
Biologically speaking, a baby's cry, smile, or just mere thinking about her child triggers the production of milk by the mammary glands of the Mother.
So, a woman can exclusively breastfeed her twins for as long as she wants.
Even if there would be a problem, then it would be more organizational rather than structural. Like when the family is poor and they cannot have enough to provide for the basic needs of their newborn(s) and the mother's feeding.
Well recently, I heard about a first-time mum who mistakenly sat down on her child. I guess too much Instagram and TikTok had made her forget that she have a baby
😆😆
The Dangers of Self-Pity
Well, I don't think self-pity have ever helped anyone niether did it make anyone happy . Although it might only give you a fleeting moment of solace which ofcourse when dwelt in for long would definitely make one fall deeper into the pot of misery.
Just like anger and frustration, it's not bad for one to feel or vent such emotions once in a while. But it's always advisable not to remain stuck. Self pity shouldn't be encouraged just like any other negative emotions.
It's ok to feel bad about what has happened to you at one point or the other in life either by your own making or by the deciet of others. In such a mood, we would be able to reflect upon our previous misdeeds or mistakes and learn the lessons therein. Then move on and be more careful next time.
But perpetuating in such a frame of mind could affect one psychologically and one would always feel inadequate or inferior when they compare themselves to others.
What is worse is that this could degenerate into self hatred and one begins to curse himself at any slightest disapointment or mistake. This would lead to a feeling of demotivation and the fellow would always believe that life is and would always be unfair to him. Sure, they would always have a convincing reason to believe that everyday without realizing that life owes him nothing, it was here before him. Same goes for everyone else.
Self pity always creates this mental image in a person's mind tht they deserve an easy life based on some unpleasant circumstances that they might have passed through. But in reality, that's not how it works. You have to do something to improve your condition, you have to put in the necessary effort.
Although people might empathize with you when they get to hear the story of your abuse but believe me they would definitely get tired of you one day especially when they come to realize that you are deliberately and continually using it as an excuse to court sympathy and seek for favours. Infact they might even begin to hate you.
The truth is, you are not the only one that is has been in a rut, as a matter of fact, some people are still stuck in a rut while others who have been in similar situations like yours but they came out stronger.
So, instead of lamenting and blaming others about your misery, pick yourself up and take little steps on how to improve on your condition. It is the decision that you make tody that would determine how far you would go in life, it absolutely does not matter what you have had to pass through. As long as you still breath, you would always have the opportunity of recreating yourself. Don't be lazy, start building a new life now!
What Your Doctor Never Told You about Fruits.
We were told that fruits are healthy because they are a good source of various vitamins and minerals.
We were told that fruits also contain fibres which aid in digestion
We were also told that fruits boost the body's immunity and reduces the risks of various chronic diseases. They also contain antioxidants.
All the above are absolutely true about fruits. Fruits are indeed healthy!
But what most people don't know is that fruits have a high sugar content ! Infact alot of folks consume fruits because it is sweet than It's health benefits. That's a fact!
Reason why people would always choose fruits like mango, banana, orange, pineapple and pawpaw over fruits like lemon, watermelon and avocados ( which are far more healthier)
Infact I just remembered a nursery school ryhme :
"***pawpaw is a kind of fruit, e sweet like sugar, yellow like Fanta, everybody like pawpaw "🤣🤣🤣***
Yes, fruits have a high sugar content in them and I'm sure you know what that means.
Although, some people might want to argue that fruits are natural sugars unlike refined sugars ( junks). But the truth is; sugar is sugar! And when they are already inside your body, the body does not say:
"***Hey, I recognize you, you are a sugar from fruits, pls go this way. And hey you, I believe you came from soda, pls go through there". 🤣🤣🤣***
No, All sugars are metabolised thesame way when they enter the body. So after deriving the healthy benefits of fruits, the sugars in them also raises your blood sugar levels just like any other carbs.
Pls don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that fruits are bad or you shouldn't eat them. Instead, take a slice of that pawpaw, watermelon or a piece that pineapple instead of swallowing everything into your blood. One or two mangos or oranges is enough. We all know that too much of everything is..... But you can always eat huge amounts of carrots, cabbage, lettuce, salad, garlic, cucumber, avocados, onion everyday. Trust me, you can never go wrong doing that 🤗
Infact, the sugar in fruits ( fructose), unlike other sugar does not stimulate the cells of your pancreas to produce insulin (an hormone that is responsible for converting excess sugar to glycogen). Instead it goes straight to the liver where it is metabolised. And the end product of fructose metabolism is tryglycerides (unsaturated fats) which causes the deposition of fats in the liver, leading to a condition known as fatty liver. Fatty liver in lay man's term simply means "***obesity of the liver",*** and you know that's not cool.
Pls if someone close to you have a serious disease like diabetes, high blood pressure, cancer, heart, kidney or liver diseases. Please don't make them take fruits because their liver is already battling to save their lives. Reason people with such chronic ailments are always looking older and worn out. So don't make it more difficult.
But unfortunately, it's a common sight to see thriving fruits businesses at the entrance of major hospitals in the city where relatives and visitors buy large quantities of fruits for their sick ones 😢😢😢

The Trophy Wife
Two years before I got admitted into a University in northern Nigeria, there was this very intelligent lady who had graduated from a mathematics department with first class honors. This accomplishment was jointly held with another guy from the department. But from what I have heard, the lady's performance was more outstanding. Both students were offered a scholarship to go further their studies abroad. But unfortunately, the lady couldn't accept the scholarship.
Why? Her parents had already betrothed her to w big trader in a popular market in the city. The arrangement was that she would immediately get married to this wealthy man as soon as she's done with her education. No need to mention that it was this men that had been sponsoring her education all this while as well as providing for her family's upkeep. No doubt, her husband would be very proud of the spectacular academic performance of his young wife.
I just pray he finds a place in his heart in assisting the young girl achieve her life ambition of becoming a mathematics professor.
There's absolutely no way he wouldn't want to show her off to his friends and tell everyone who cares to listen that he married a genius!
What you would call a ideal trophy wife!
The term trophy wife was birthed centuries ago when Kings and highlords would give out their female children in marriage to an equally or more important figure in order to forge stringer political alliance or to cement the relationship between the houses.
Well, as you already know, a trophy is decorative object given out to someone as a price. The term "trophy wife " was coined in the 20th century in describing a young and very beautiful woman who is married to a wealthy husband that is a decade or two older than she is. And ofcourse, the husband wouldn't waste time in making use of any opportunity to "display his trophy" either at a business meeting, a conference or at a dinner just so as to court as much attention possible to himself both online and offline.
Well, overtime the phrase "trophy wife " have become popular among folks. I believe calling a woman a trophy wife is derogatory. The term is likely to be accompanied by a barrage of more unpleasant names by malicious people. People who never considers seeing the woman behind all the glamour. No one cares to know about her true character, her virtue, intelligence and power for good. She's often judged by her marriage.
It's so hurting when a woman vis judged simply because she's married to a richer or older man. No doubt there are men who had to married older and richer Ladies, even out of genuine love. But they are seldomly criticised niether did anyone verbally burn them to the stakes for the choice they have made.
The term "trophy wife" promotes objectification of a female and shouldn't be tolerated.

Memoirs of an housemaid II
You could spread the first part of the story **here** https://read.cash/@Bilqees/memoirs-of-an-housemaid-i-e59955d6
One day, Amara returned from an errand only to meet Mrs George with her heads bent, crying. Mrs George wasn't aware that Amara had entered the sitting room and when Amara greeted her, she was startled and she immediately starting wiping her face.
Mrs George stood up at once and went into her room without even waiting to hear the feedback of the errand she sent her housemaid. She was ofcourse very embarrassed tht her housemaid met her in such a mood
Amara became seriously worried for the next hours. What could possibly have caused her boss to cry so much.
She was still brooding over matter when the chef, uncle B came around and asked her what the problem was. Uncle B only smiled when Amara told him that she had found their boss crying. He told her that this wasn't a new thing to him.
Amara was shocked. "Not a new thing? So this is how our madam would always cry without any reason?"
Later in the evening, Mrs George called Amara on phone and asked her to meet her at in her bedroom in respect of the errand she had sent her.
After the message had been delivered, Amara couldn't keep her mouth shut. She proceeded in asking her boss if there was any problem. Mrs George immediately looked at her housemaid with a disapproving look and asked her what she meant.
Amara began to stammer and wished she hadn't said any thing else. Mrs George saw her dilemma and smiled. She told her that she understood the reason for her asking and told her not to bother about her. "I was only worried about something that was giving me a bit of concern, but I am alright now".
Amara was glad to hear this and she calmed down. As she went back to her quarters, she was grateful that she didn't make the matter more awkward that it was already.
Later that night when Mr George returned from his trip and the couples began to talk loudly in their bedroom. Amara listened as the both man and wife kept screaming at each other at the top of their voices. She began to wonder what was going on. They continued to quarrel for more then thirty minutes before they went to bed. It was quite obvious that Mr George would spend the night at the visitors bedroom.
When morning cane, Mrs George summoned Amara' and instructed get to get her coffee. She also told her to inform uncle B not to make any good fir her.
Amara saw the pains in Mrs George's face and she felt really bad fir her. She wanted to ask her what the problem was, she was eager to her but she was afraid of another awkward moment.
Back in the kitchen, Amara brought the issue to uncle B, who also admitted hearing the couple quarreling in the middle of the night.
Again, uncle B dismissed the issue with an indifferent tone. " This wouldn't be the first time they would be quarrelling". He said nonchalantly.
Now this really angered Amara. "Can't you see that Mrs George is in obvious pain. She's is a really kind woman band I am very sure she had been kind to you too as much as she had been kind to me." Why do you take her problems so lightly, the least you could do is show concern even though you might not be able to help her.
Uncle B was taken aback by the sudden outburst from Amara. He looked at Amara for a long moment, then he smiled and shook his head.
"Madam and her husband have been married for 10 years without a child, now tell me is there something you could do to help her?"

Memoirs of an Housemaid I
Working at the house was not easy, but Amara knew that she would definitely adjust . Afterall she was in urgent need of the money to take care of her 4 years old son and mother.
Amara was quite surprised when her boss Mrs. George, told her that they already had a chef. Her job would just be cleaning the house.
Amara never knew to at rich people could also hire a person whose job would only be cooking their meals and at thesame time employ someone else whose job would only involve doing house chores. She finally met the chef, who was known as uncle B.
Uncle B had promised Amara that she would be his personal project because the first day that Amara came to the house, she looked so thin and malnourished. Uncle B had said that she looked like someone who had "kwashiorkor", a nutritional deficiency disease caused by lack of proteins in one's diet.
" Don't worry my dear, be rest assured that I would feed you till you are well again. I make sure you eat and eat like a livestock whose owner is planning to go sell at the marker". Uncle B had joked.
Most times while eating, Amara would think about her son and mother in the village and wondered whether they had had anything to eat for that. She would pray that God would send someone like Uncle B to her family who would keep feed them like a cow too. Sometimes, she would breakdown in tears.
As the case of most teenage mothers, Amara had been decieved and abandoned by her boyfriend after she became pregnant.
Neither Mrs George or Uncle B knew about her past or wether she had a son. They knew absolutely nothing about her other than the fact that she can from ogbomosho in ogun state, Nigeria. It was Amina, a friend and colleague of Mrs George that had recommended Amara to Mrs George when the rich woman had mentioned that she was in need of an housemaid.
Amina who was an older cousin of Amara had warmed her to keep keep her mouth shut about her private life when she starts work at the new house.
"To be on a safer side, a woman who had been emotionally scarred in the last should keep her story away from her work-life". Amina had adviced.
Amara soon got used to her new life and became very delligent at her work. She knew she couldn't afford to make any mistakes now. As far as she knew, Amara's feeding and accommodation problems had been solved alreay. So she sent all salary for the first month to her mother so that they could feed and clothe properly.
Amara was so good at the job that one day Mrs George was tempted to also her wether she had ever worked as a maid before.
Amara smiled and said to her that she knew what she had left at her village hence she can't afford to dissapoint the people that are looking up to her.
Mrs George became very curious and asked her what she had left behind. That was when Amara realised that she had said too much and she began to stammer.

Kessington Avenue, Philadelphia
Well honestly, I had thought homelessness was only peculiar to developing countries, not until I watched a 30 minute's documentary the city with the largest population of homeless people. Kessington Avenue, Philadelphia is a center for drug and violent crimes
At the beginning of the documentary, huge heaps of trash is seen littered openly on the streets.

A handful youngster could be seen sleeping while standing or leaning on a wall. Some were walking on the highway almost naked, apparently oblivious of the honking of cars . Reminds me of one of those gory scenes in a zombie movie. Prostitution and violent crime is done is broad daylight. Infact a woman could get raped and killed and her body dumped among the trash on the streets.
At one corner, a girl if around 20 years old as if her soul had literally left are body. Her eyes were wide open but one could see that there were no vision in them, even though tears were from both eyes. Crying for life. The drug she just couldn't do without continued to destroy her essence. A closer look at her arms would show you the unpleasant scars of needles, were the days of had escaped in exchange for a fleeting moment of euphoria.

No doubt, some of these fellows had been raised by parents on a strong moral foundation in a good him. So how do they end up like this? What has happened to them that made them fall into drugs.
Well, as I said in a previous article, people fall into drugs due to various reasons and in no time, they get addicted. A major reason could be stress, disappointment from a failed relationship, loss of job or a business deal gone wrong
So, I was not very surprised when I learnt that a good number of these drug abusers could be college graduates or skilled people. People who were eagerly looking forward to a beautiful life before something terrible happened to them. They had left home and come to this place to find solace in drug.
Kessington Avenue is like were you bury the people that are not yet dead.

Drugs related deaths are continually on the rise.Thousands of people had lost their lives due to drug overdose.
Sometimes a drug abuser might not be buying the drug that he/she thinks they are buying. In their needy and weak state, they could easily be manipulated into buying a more dangerous substance by a drug peddler.
Parkinson's...
In 1978, Muhammad Ali, the greatest boxer in history starting finding it difficult to speak before he suddenly stopped talking. Then in 1984, three years after he retired from professional boxing with a record of 56 wins and remarkable 37 knockout, Muhammed Ali was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. He was 42 years old at the time.

Muhammad Ali continued to suffer from a steady level of physical decline which is a characteristic of this ailment . Sometimes, his hands would not swing when he walks .
What was more disheartening was that he was attacked by this disease at a relatively young age. It was no doubt that his active and highly successful career as a professional boxer had hasten the onset of the disease.
Parkinson's disease is a degenerative disorder that mostly begins at manifest at the age of 60 when some brains cell located at the begins to die.
We all know that the brain is responsible for movement. well, I mean, the brain controls and coordinates movement .
Now, it happens that some of these brain cells (or neurones) located at a part of the brain known as substantia nigra responsible for the production of dopamine, a chemical messenger which transmits signals to the part of the brain that initiates movement, the basal ganglia.
The great Muhammad Ali, for years had absorbed so much punches at the side of the head where the substantia nigra was located. Consequently, this area deteriorated over time leading to the decrease in the production of this important chemical messenger.

A very common sign of Parkinson's disease is a continual shaking of the hands, legs and as well as slurring of speech. These symptoms vary from person to person depending on the extent of damage to the substantia nigra.
Well, Parkinson's disease does not entirely takes a person's ability to move but will significantly hamper your movement.

In severe cases, a person wouldn't be able to walk straight, even simple tasks like writing, making a cup of tea or dressing up becomes difficult when the shaking and tremors becomes more pronounced. He or she might also find it difficult in standing up after getting seated as a result of slow movements due to stiffness of the limbs. Such a person might need a wheelchair
Age Discrimination in Employment
Age Discrimination in Emplacement
Landing a job is definitely a big step in a young man's life, moving forward.
After sending his CV to numerous companies, 35 years old Chris was eventually called for an interview in an advertising company. He was very elated that they had replied to his email after all this while.
The next morning, he arrived very early at the company's premises. Even though he had arrived thirty minutes earlier than the time scheduled for the interview, he still met two other applicants waiting at the reception.
Chris looked at the two other applicants with scorn and felt like casting a spell on them to make them vanish and have the job for himself.
"Why would little children who just graduated from the University yesterday drag jobs with people like us who have been job hunting for many years". He muttered under his breath.
Well, the others were called up, interviewed and dismissed. One hour passed after the last person was interviewed but Chris wasn't summoned. This made him very agitated and restless.
Had the interviewer forgotten about him?
Had he forgotten that there was one other person waiting at the reception?
Maybe he should just ask the receptionist to go into the office and remind her boss. But he thought against this. It might be a test , who knows.
Chris was still trying to make up his mind wether to still talk to the receptionist or not when he heard a voice from the office. "Next candidate!"
Chris breathed a sigh of relief.
His interviewer was a a stout young man who was also about thesame age as Chris, probably younger. He was wearing a cologne that made a big impression on Chris.
After going through his files for some ten minutes, the man looked at Chris and declared it was OK. Then he proceeded to start asking more questions which Chris answered to the best of his abilities. The two men talked for another twenty minutes before the man closed the files.
"Well I like you Chris, infact you did very well more than the other applicants before you. But I am afraid I can't employ you because you have exceeded the age limit of employees we are looking to employ at entry level. "
Chris heart sank and his throat immediately went.
"But sir, why would you send me an invite when you know very well that I am above the age bracket of the candidates you needed"
The man could only apologised for the inconveniences.
Chris was already angry and was about packing up his files and ready to leave when the man stopped him
" Well, I could still help you with a job else where which suits your age and experience. Just leave a copy of your files with us and I promise I would contact you as soon as I find an opening elsewhere"
But Chris already knew this trick used by employers and wouldn't fall for it. The talk about helping him getting employment at another firm was just to make him feel better.
I don't know about other countries but age discrimination as regards to employment have been a very serious issue in my country. Maybe a boss might fear a situation when an a not-too-young employee might argue about a decision or do things differently since he believes he is older and more experienced. Or a situation where an employee might report an immediate boss to the management if he refuses to bend to his will.
