Hometown Girl
After days of having some hiatus, I am now back on track and decided to make a story of what happened last Sunday. Well, when you are too much happy, bad things happen unexpectedly. So how did you able to face it? Do you find yourself regretting? or accepting the fact that it just happen for a reason?
Anyways, that's not the topic for today's blog. I am just having some contemplation because what happened last time made me feel a bit uneasy. But since my partner is doing well and better now, I just decided to accept the memorable experience. lemme share to you first our picture and caption this: "Picture muna bago masugatan malala".
Okay, let's now proceed to our newest topic for today about our city which is Manila. Yes, I am a pure Manilena and I have some things in my mind that I wanna share with you guys about my hometown. Well, I also raised in the province but almost 80% of my childhood is in here in this city. So for today, we will try to answer questions about my hometown. Are you ready to know more about my City? Lezgooe!
What's your favourite part of your town?
My favorite place here in Manila is the Intramuros. This place is a heritage site and a very well-known place for our national hero, Jose Rizal. When you come here, you will see a very large stone gate and different Balluarte. me and my partner loves to go here and I think we already visited this place three times. We love this because of the romantic aura and is so good to have some time for meditation.
If you could live in any city, where would you choose?
I wanna live in Makati City, a neighbor city of Manila. That's because the cost of living there might be expensive but the community is much more healthy than here in our place. In Makati, you can see how the local government help the whole city in terms of maintaining the cleanliness and peacefulness. I could say that Yorme Isko moreno also handles our city very well. But in terms of leadership and competitiveness, I guess that the Mayor of Makati will lead.
Is your town changing? In what ways?
I think that every place are changing due to modernization. As what I observe, the city is changing in terms of the establishments that being built, the transportation and some easy access to establishments such as marketplace, schools, malls and churches.
Are there 'good' and 'bad' parts of your town?
This is so common. I could say that the good part of our place is the development of the establishments and the bad part of here is the people. I could tell you how people here being so cruel and sometimes 'unbothered', like, they just wanted to sell goods here and leave their stations very dirty. Same with those people who begs on the highways on Manila. If you will visit Manila for the first time, be cautious anytime and be careful to some people you will ask.
What do you like to do when you visit a new town or city?
I wanna go swimming and go hiking first and take photographs!
What is your hometown famous for?
Manila is famous for everything. Since this is the main capital of the Philippines, this is the center of all. When you look for something cheap like shoes or clothes or any second hand materials, you may consider shopping here in the Quiapo or Divisoria.
What would improve your town or city?
I can see a progression and development in terms of housing loans here so in that case, we will no longer see squatters area in the near future or next ten years. I just hope that the next local government of the City will help her or his people.
